Everybody, welcome welcome to the Dennis Prager Show.
show...
If the Kyle Rittenhouse jury is a hung jury, it's a bad day for American justice.
If there is such a thing as shooting in self-defense, this is an example of it.
Any juror who votes guilty on any part of the...
District Attorney's Prosecution.
The charges.
Anyone who does is announcing a number of things.
One, you cannot ever shoot in self-defense.
If this is not an example of moral and legitimate shooting in self-defense, there is no example.
The political state of affairs is determinative in my vote.
Hard to believe that if things were reversed, if right-wing people had shot or aimed a gun at someone and they had shot in self-defense, that the same juror would have not voted to acquit.
What can one say?
A human being is a troubled creature.
I always come back to that.
And the number of people, or the percentage of people who fight their flawed nature is not high.
Very few people spend time thinking, you know, I really have human nature, like all humans.
Human nature is flawed and I have to fight myself.
How many people say that ever?
It's not a large number.
It's being called morally non-self-aware.
That's what it is.
People are not self-aware in the moral arena.
Many are not in the psychological arena either.
That's why the idea that you should know yourself is so important.
Didn't I do a happiness hour last week on that?
On how important it is to know yourself?
So it's a disgrace.
In a better world, the jury would have deliberated for an hour and come back with a not guilty verdict.
Thank you.
That's what should have been done.
My heart breaks for this kid, to be honest.
To be the target...
I know what it's like to be the target of the national media, but I'm a big guy.
And it has minimal emotional effect on me.
But for a 17-year-old to be the target of hate...
By the mainstream media is a difficult thing.
Very difficult.
When you read about the people he shot and how terrible human beings, what terrible human beings they were.
I mean, he was a child rapist.
Was he not this Rosenbaum?
Does that matter?
Well, it doesn't matter.
In the purely legal sense of one event, you have to judge an event by the event.
But for those of us who are allowed to think about the forest and not only the trees, I think it's a significant thing to note.
Bad people show up for left-wing riots.
They're all bad.
Some are evil.
All are bad.
And it gives you a glimpse of the people who show up.
I wish we could know more.
Did any of these guys, were they married?
Or any of these guys, did they have children that were shot to death?
Did they make a living?
I mean, it's the...
This guy, Rosenbaum, just got out of jail?
Yeah.
Well.
Dr. Fauci, Daily Mail, November 18. Dr. Fauci says COVID hospitalizations are rising among fully vaccinated people who have not had a booster.
I have a question, and this is...
An honest question in that I admit I don't know the answer, but I do believe the question should be asked.
Have you ever heard of a vaccination that needed a booster within a year?
I'm looking at you, Mr. Producer.
When I get the yellow fever vaccine or vaccination, When I travel to places where that might exist, usually what they call third-world places, it's every ten years.
Tetanus is every, I don't know how many years, and I haven't had a tetanus shot, I don't know, probably in ten years.
It's only warranted under certain circumstances.
So I've never heard of this.
A booster shot within a year.
And they're still, Fauci and the CDC are still lying to you about the vaccine being more effective than natural immunity.
Does natural immunity last under a year?
And by the way, if you have to get a booster within a year, then why wouldn't you have to get a booster within the next year, I would assume?
Thank you.
Seems logical.
A tetanus shot, apparently.
The tetanus shot, yeah.
The initial series is three shots.
The first two shots are given at least four weeks apart.
All right, so anyway, but it doesn't matter how many weeks apart.
The initial three is within how much time?
I don't remember.
Maybe when I was a kid I got the three.
Two shots are given four weeks apart.
The third shot is given six to twelve months after the second shot.
The third shot is given 6 to 12 months after the second shot.
And after initial tetanus series, booster shots are recommended every 10 years.
Right, booster shots are recommended.
That's what I needed.
Booster shots are recommended every 10 years.
Okay.
I don't ever remember getting...
What we're starting to see now is an uptick in hospitalizations among people who've been vaccinated but not boosted, Fauci told NBC News.
A recent study from the Public Health Institute in Oakland, California found that the overall effectiveness of the three COVID vaccines available in the U.S. fell from 87% in March.
I'd like you all to guess to what percent in September.
It was 87% in March.
The effectiveness of the three COVID vaccines, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson& Johnson.
So it was 87% effective in March, and by September it was 48%.
This is now getting to the end of November.
I presume it's obviously, maybe it's now 40%.
Oh, but the vaccine, the vaccine, the vaccine.
The Pfizer shot's efficacy declined from 87% protection to 43%.
The J&J shot saw a drop from 83% to 13%.
That's not a lot.
1-8 Prager 776 is the number to reach me.
I am more upset about the Biden bill or the Democrats bill than I am about virtually any other dominant news item.
This will forever, and I say forever for a reason, forever change America for the worse.
Aside from the staggering impact of printing Trillions of dollars just printing them.
That's where they will get them from.
The claim that they will be captured in taxes is a joke.
And to the extent that they will be, it just suppresses economic activity on the part of the people forking up all of that money.
There are people who will decide to stop earning.
60% of your money away, which may happen.
Why work?
But there's a bigger reason I'll come to.
Thank you.
Trending now on the Hugh Hewitt Show.
And that's why religious people are far more patriotic, frankly, about the Constitution, because they don't believe those rights were given to them by the state, but rather by something larger.
And in Europe, I don't think that people believe that.
They used to turn to monarchies, then they turned to fascism and communism, at least in the last hundred or more years, and it doesn't seem to work.
And now they're just turning towards the European Union and bureaucrats.
To sort of guide them as their new priests.
What are the reasons I am always curious about why Europe went this way, but why America admires it?
How come we got this disease when it's clearly not working?
And I think the answer is in what I call the semester abroad disease.
It's like mad cow disease.
If you spend a semester abroad when you're 21, you have a wonderful time.
You eat well, you have a party for six months, and then you come home and you extrapolate from that that everything must be like being a student in Europe for six months when there's nothing at all to do with an American having fun in Europe for six months.
This all started to rise in the United States when we started to ship our college students away.
For a semester in Florence.
And then they come back and they think, wow, Europe is great!
I had thought about that, but also just tourism, right?
I mean, when we go to Europe, it's beautiful.
When people go to Hungary, they sit by the river, the Danube.
You know, sip coffee.
But in the real world, about a mile out of the city, things aren't that way.
The American home, I think, I might be wrong about this, but it's close.
It's about a thousand square feet bigger than the average European home.
We live in mansions in our suburbs that Europeans, most Europeans, would not be able to comprehend.

Sometimes there are policies so destructive that at first you don't believe they're true.
Joe Biden is currently defending one.
His plan to award $450,000 to migrants separated from their families after entering the U.S. illegally.
Children of deceased U.S. soldiers are separated from their parents permanently.
They don't receive this kind of money.
And migrants who enter the US legally certainly don't get this kind of payout.
The really big jackpot, it seems, is being reserved for the lawbreakers.
There are some obvious truths here.
First, behavior that's subsidized gets repeated.
Joe Biden is effectively inviting many more illegal immigrants to breach America's open borders.
Second, he's betting over time the payoffs will benefit his party in political terms.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of Americans watch in shock and dismay as our president, the country's chief law enforcement officer, brazenly rewards lawbreaking, a clear violation of his oath to defend our nation's laws.
It's a sorry sight indeed.
It's a sorry sight indeed.
It's a sorry sight indeed.
It's a sorry sight indeed.
I found the belief that you can get, for $30 a month, unlimited talk, unlimited text, and 6 gigabytes of data.
I found it a little hard to imagine it was as good as Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T. So, I got a phone through them, because they sell phones too.
Brand new phones, Android or iPhone, for great prices.
You don't have to get a new phone.
You don't have to change your number.
But if you want to, you can.
So I have two numbers, and it's the same exact quality.
Well, all you do is dial pound 250 on your current phone, pound 250, and say Dennis Prager.
You also get 50% off your first month.
That's pound 250, 30-day risk-free guarantee.
That's pound 250, say Dennis Prager.
The reason the next trillions bothers me so much...
Two trillion?
Yeah, but as Wall Street Journal shows, it's really four trillion.
So that's why I said trillions.
And...
The reason it does is that will convert this country into more or less a socialist state.
Of course there will still be private business.
Every socialist country has private business except North Korea.
What socialist country?
Russia has it.
China has it.
Cuba and North Korea are the only ones that I can think of that don't allow it.
So the fact that there will still be these woke companies, and they're all woke, they all support the massive takeover of the economy by the state, so long as they're left alone.
They're in cahoots.
I don't know if that's, and I say this quite openly, and honestly, I don't know if that's the definition of fascism.
I don't know if fascism even has a precise definition.
But it certainly would seem to be a characteristic.
The alignment of big business and government to suppress all dissent strikes me as bordering on, if not the definition, of fascism.
Once you give people entitlements, you can't take them away.
It's very difficult.
It's as difficult as taking heroin away from a drug addict.
But the left everywhere believes, correctly, That the more you give people, the more they vote for you.
And the more you give people, the less the other side can take away.
What are conservatives going to run on in any country?
Hey, give up all your benefits, all the free things, quote-unquote, that you got from the state, because we believe it's bad for you and bad for the country.
The more this state becomes everything in your life.
They can't do that.
So they drag along the conservatives who become socialist light.
And I'm not saying this as an attack.
I'm saying this as an inevitability.
Vote for us.
We'll take away goodies.
Who's going to vote for you?
Vote for us.
We'll give you less.
Who's going to vote for you?
What a contemptible party the Democratic Party is.
It's all for its power.
Wall Street Journal, the real Biden bill.
That's why I said what I said a moment ago.
At least $4.6 trillion.
There is no one listening who can understand that number.
$1 trillion is $1,000 billion.
This is $4,000 billion.
Almost $5,000 billion.
What does that mean?
It means money becomes worthless.
High inflation always has horrible political ramifications.
Bad people come to power.
More than antisemitism, the inflation in the Weimar Republic enabled the Nazis to gain power in Germany.
More than antisemitism.
And I wrote a book on antisemitism.
Enhanced child allowances, $3,600 for children under age 6 and $3,000 up to age 17. This is the bill's most expensive provision at about $130 billion a year, which is why Democrats limit it to one year.
Does anyone doubt they'll extend it in the future?
They limit it to one year.
They're such...
Oh, my God.
Phony is such a light word for them.
They may get help from Republicans who won't want to be attacked for raising taxes on families.
CRFB, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, says making the allowances permanent would cost $1.13 trillion.
Based on current law, it would cost $1.5 trillion.
Since the $2,000 tax credit and the 2017 GOP tax reform is set to drop back to $1,000 after 2025. So that's nearly $1.4 trillion in hidden costs alone.
In sum, the House bill will cost $2 trillion to $3 trillion more, than CBO is estimating because Democrats have camouflaged the costs.
Keep in mind that CBO, Congressional Budget Office, this summer projected that annual deficits will already exceed a trillion dollars annual deficit through 2030 causing U.S. debt To swell by $12.8 trillion.
That's an increase in our debt.
And that's before the infrastructure bill or this House bill.
When the spending all kicks in and the rich are all taxed out, the middle class will be hit with a huge tax increase.
The last line of the Wall Street Journal editorial.
Wall Street Journal editorials are known for being understated.
This is the most dishonest spending bill in American history.
Dishonest?
Left and dishonesty?
Please read my column this week on how, across the board, they all lied about what I said.
MSNBC did the best job.
They actually put the video of me speaking on Newsmax and then dropped my final words, which make the whole point moot.
Everything that they said, their whole point moot.
You can actually see my lips start to say the words that they dropped.
They didn't drop the video exactly when they dropped the audio.
Leftists do not value truth.
Liberals do.
Conservatives do.
Leftists don't.
It is an astonishing thing that this bill might pass.
This will be a day to lament in American history.
It passed the House.
It passed the House, right.
So the issue is two people, mansion and cinema.
they can save the country.

Hello, my friends.
I'm Dennis Prager, and you're Mark in Gardena, California.
Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
How are you today?
Thank you, Will.
I have to tell you, I love your show.
I've been following you since religion on the line, which is quite a long time.
Full disclosure, I'm vaccinated.
I'm a Republican.
I'm against all mandates.
Approach to COVID. However, I'm a statistics person.
I'm a math person.
And I was listening to your show yesterday.
You were talking about Sweden.
And in looking at the statistics, they are certainly much better than the United States.
But I'm comparing them to the other Nordic countries.
And I'm including Iceland in there, although that's a very isolated island by itself.
And it seems to be that their death rate per million people is taking the best country next to them, which is Denmark.
Their death rate per million is at least three times worse than that.
So I'm not sure that we could call them successful compared to the neighboring countries.
That's all that I wanted to say.
Right.
I thank you for your call, and I'll respond.
I always note that, and I think I did yesterday, that people compare them.
I'm almost certain I said it yesterday.
People compare Sweden not to other countries, but only other countries that are considered Scandinavian.
Denmark and Norway, and to the extent that Iceland is considered.
Finland is not considered a Scandinavian country, but people will often use Finland.
That is absolutely correct.
I don't know exactly why that should be the one criterion.
The great majority of deaths in Sweden took place in nursing homes.
The Swedes acknowledge that.
In fact, the Swedes make that known.
They're not proud of it.
It was a nursing home problem that they had not addressed.
And I am no youngster, and I fully acknowledge that As tragic as every death is at any age, there are levels of tragedy.
When you have lived beyond the life expectancy, you are blessed.
But it is not the same tragedy as a 50-year-old.
Everybody listening knows that.
That doesn't mean people are expendable.
It means that we use our brains to understand what is a tragedy and what is sad.
To me, and I'd like to know if Sweden allowed it, I don't know.
I'd like to know how many countries did what the U.S. and Canada did and forced people to die alone.
That, to me, is worse than death.
Death rates are one indication of a tragedy, but pain inflicted deliberately by medical authorities, you can't be with your dying father because you can't enter the hospital, even with a mask on.
So the people working here can wear masks, that's fine, but you can't.
If you told any person in a hospital who was ill with COVID during the worst of the pandemic, I just want you to know that if your daughter visits you, that will increase the possibility of your dying.
What do you vote for?
Everybody would vote to have their daughter visit because they know they're in bad shape to begin with.
Anyway, Back to the statistics.
Sweden, compared to all countries in the world, including a vast number of European countries, ranks number 54 in deaths per million.
Also, what is particularly important is now.
We're living now.
That is the nature of the human existence.
We live now.
And they're not having any deaths.
As I mentioned yesterday, they're in the bottom half of the world, tied with half the world that is not having any deaths now.
But Denmark is having death.
The other countries around Sweden are having deaths now.
They're not.
Sweden did not lock down, did not mandate masks, nothing.
They allowed normal life.
Kids went to school for a year, kids under 16. I can't believe I'm saying it, but God bless Sweden, because it provided the one test case of non-panic in the human species last year and this year.
I commend to your attention relief factor.
Relief factor relieves people of joint and muscle pain.

Most people don't know that charter schools are public schools, and so they fight against it.
They worship the building instead of the child, and we're not going to just keep throwing money at that.
In fact, I put in a charter school bill 20 years ago when I was first in office, but we were stopped.
Now, you know, let's pause there for a moment, Lieutenant Governor-elect Sears.
The appointments of the Secretary of Education and the Superintendent of Education are, I think, the two most important that Governor Youngkin, when he becomes Governor Youngkin, makes.
Have you counseled with him on who those individuals ought to be and what their orientation ought to be towards charter schools?
Well, Governor-elect Youngkin, oh boy, do I love saying that.
Governor-elect Youngkin has promised us he's going to fire the current superintendent.
Day one, fire this current superintendent.
Now, I believe he's going to have at least two appointments almost immediately on the board because, you know, they roll off.
Yes.
But the board has been stacked now for the past, but we can't really get rid of the policies that we have unless we get rid of some of the laws that we have, you see, because what they're doing is implementing the laws, which is why we needed the House.
Because we've got to bring back some of that and get rid of it, for example, CRT. And, you know, unfortunately, this left-wing media has been gaslighting us to let us know that, well, there is no such thing as CRT. When we have seen with our own eyes that back in 2015, the Virginia State Board of Education put it on their website and put books recommending the reading of such and the teaching of such.

British school cancels Winston Churchill.
The names of Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister, this is Daily Wire, it's all over the place, who guided Britain through World War II and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling have been axed.
As schoolhouse names at one British school in an attempt to promote diversity.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School in Richmond has renamed houses honoring Britain's wartime leader and Harry Potter author After footballer Marcus Rashford and nurse Mary Seacole.
The children across school have been keen to change some of the names of the school houses to be more diverse, the school explained.
You believe that?
No, no, do you believe that?
Yeah.
Kids were just lining up demanding.
We are pleased to be able to announce the name changes during Black History Month.
Churchill has been replaced by Rashford and Rowling by Seacole.
I looked them up, so he's a popular soccer player, and he's black, black English, and she was a Jamaican, black as well, and did wonderful work.
As a nurse on behalf of Britain in the Crimean War, which is lovely.
I don't understand a contemporary soccer player, 20-something years old, replacing Churchill, or replacing J.K. Rowling.
Of course, we all know why she's replaced.
She's not a white male, after all.
She's a white...
Female and identifies as female.
Her pronouns are she and her.
And what she did was state, basically, that male, that there is a biological distinction between male and female, and for that she is considered a hater.
So sick is the world created by the left that that has been the reaction to her.
The once beloved Churchill has come under fire in recent years in England, with even pictures of the former Prime Minister being taken off the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, which will also be renamed.
Did you know that?
Churchill.
One of the leading figures of the 20th century.
A man who saved...
Britain and the West from Hitler.
From Nazism.
Bad man.
Both Rowling and Churchill were targeted at British schools earlier this year as well.
Seaford Head School in East Sussex in February removed the names of the two from houses after students complained about them being intolerant.
How many students are necessary to complain about intolerance for the cowards that run schools?
I assume that if you run any school, you're a coward.
I know there are exceptions.
Just telling you my assumption.
According to the Telegraph, their names would be replaced by new titles based on local topography.
Do you understand that?
Anna, St. Augustine Beach, Florida.
Hello, Anna.
Hello, Dennis.
I have been a huge fan of yours since the mid-90s, and I love everything about you.
Well, thank you.
Let me thank you.
Okay, go ahead.
Thank you.
Huge fan, huge fan.
I've turned my whole family on to you as well.
But I wanted to backtrack to yesterday.
The bigger the government, the smaller the religion.
And it made me really think about this Catholic Pope.
I will confess, I am a Catholic, a conservative, newly transplanted in Florida from Chicago.
We escaped those corrupt politicians recently.
But it made me think about the Pope.
And the Pope so wholeheartedly embraces socialism, embraces...
No fences.
I mean, he is so supportive of this liberal agenda.
Leftist agenda.
I wish it were a liberal agenda.
Yeah, true.
And I'm just wondering, how do Catholic, me being a Catholic, and I respect your Judaism, many friends who are Jewish, I love everything, but how do we reconcile?
Is this Pope practicing?
Catholicism, or is he practicing socialism?
And I feel in my heart, he's practicing socialism, not Catholicism.
Well, I have addressed this, and I have many Catholic listeners, of course.
And my heart breaks for believing Catholics.
Cultural Catholics, separate issue, but believing Catholics...
To have the vicar of Christ on earth, a leftist, his religion is leftism.
I have no doubt he believes in Christ.
I have no doubt he believes in the Church.
There's no doubt in my mind.
But his value system is not Catholicism.
His value system is leftism.
This is true in Protestant Christianity.
This is true in Judaism.
The great majority of non-Orthodox rabbis are leftists.
Not liberals, leftists.
How many times did I play on this show?
The rabbi in New Jersey, who on the holiest day of Judaism, the holiest days, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, on one of them, instead of chanting the prophets, he chanted Ruth Bader Ginsburg from the pulpit.
In the same...
Cantillation, the same form of music that is used to chant the prophets.
Yeah, you know, there's Amos, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ginsburg back in a moment.
Thank you.

Alcohol?
And the reason you chose this one, Sean, was you're missing a drink?
It's too early?
I'm kidding, folks.
He's not a drinker.
Just for the record.
Kenosha, Wisconsin.
And the eye of the storm.
Tom, hello.
Dennis, I'm here.
I'm here, Dennis.
I know that.
I'm sorry, I had you on speaker.
Dennis, I'm an honor.
I spoke to you once before.
I'm actually from outside Chicago.
We're up here at work.
The disgusting nature of the media, I know you talk about it all the time.
It's incredible here.
There's been no more than 20 protesters all week.
There's 100 media.
Dennis, these protesters are clearly...
And my intention isn't to impugn them, but these people are not.
Without impugning them, they clearly have been brought here to orchestrate trouble, and to see the media.
How many media are there?
Dennis, there's got to be over 100. So you're telling me, as an eyewitness, there are about 20 protesters, And 100 media.
With all their crews and everything, that number of 20 has never gone more than, I'd say, 25, and that was like the first day we got here, which was Tuesday.
This is an important call.
I thought it was a bigger mob, which makes me think that the media are more intimidating to the jurors than the protesters.
I began this hour and I'll end this hour with...
I'm controlling myself because I don't want...
I don't know how it could be overstated.
If this man is not found innocent, not guilty, then the whole notion of self-defense is shattered by this jury.
That's it.
It's as simple as that.
If you can't shoot somebody who is about to shoot you, then you can't shoot anybody.
And when you read about, if I may use the term, the scum that he shot, it makes it all the more apparent that they wanted to kill him.
He killed bad people who wanted to kill him.
That's the whole case in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Thank you.
Thank you.
at the moment, no.
This guy is a scumbag.
He is awful.
Contrast that with Governor DeSantis, America's greatest governor, most courageous.
And just announced his re-election campaign to become governor of Florida again.
A well-deserved campaign of a man who has been overly courageous with now the lowest COVID rates in the country.
Can you get if it's COVID rate, death rates, or virus rates?
It's whatever it is.
It's the lowest in the country.
Pursuing alternative treatments like monoclonal antibodies.
The first major state to reopen.
Phenomenal economic figures.
No mask mandates for children.
And then the school districts that are doing that.
DeSantis is clamping down.
He banned critical race theory, and DeSantis has done this in a logical and reasonable way.
And I'm inspired by his leadership versus the weak Vichy French Republicans across the country that continually pander to Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson& Johnson.
Ron DeSantis has been terrific.
But Ron DeSantis understands the promise of the Constitution, unlike Murphy and most Republicans in the country.
Ron DeSantis says, a year and a half ago we started with 15 days to slow the spread.
Now it's get jabbed or lose your job.
You see, what Ron DeSantis recognizes is that the sovereign is the people, not him.
It's not we the Ron DeSantis or we the governor of Florida.
Florida.
No, it's the people's rights that come first.

And that's why religious people are far more patriotic, frankly, about the Constitution, because they don't believe those rights were given to them by the state, but rather by something larger.
And in Europe...
I don't think that people believe that.
They used to turn to monarchies, then they turned to fascism and communism, at least in the last hundred or more years, and it doesn't seem to work.
And now they're just turning towards the European Union and bureaucrats to sort of guide them as their new priests.

And migrants who enter the U.S. legally certainly don't get this kind of payout.
It's a sorry sight indeed.

the happy, happy, happy, happy hour.
It's the happy, happy, happy, happy hour.
Ladies and gentlemen, the happiness hour.
Every Friday, second hour on the Dennis Prager Show.
Let's get the band a little louder here.
These guys.
All right, we'll report that.
But what are you pointing to?
The TV I want to see.
So to have it on?
I want this TV on.
Oh, you do.
All right, everybody.
Look, I'm not going to hide from you.
We just learned that there was a Rittenhouse verdict.
What is it?
Oh, they haven't announced it yet?
All right, I never like to interrupt the happiness hour for news, but it's a big deal.
I'll let you know what it is when it comes in.
All right, fine.
All right, I have a very big one in light of the fact that Thanksgiving is coming up.
Thanksgiving is the next.
And it is before the next Happiness Hour.
In fact, next Friday, like most people, I will be taking off the day after Thanksgiving.
So this is the Thanksgiving Happiness Hour.
First, a word about Thanksgiving.
I love America for many reasons, although I will say it's being challenged because so many Americans...
Have no love for what this country stands for.
They have remade American values.
So it's a painful, painful subject, but one of the reasons that I have loved America and do love America is Thanksgiving.
To have a holiday that is non-denominational and is only about giving thanks, Is a statement about a society.
It's not a Christian holiday.
It's not a Judeo-Christian holiday.
It's not anything but give thanks.
Obviously, religious people will do it in a religious way, as I do, but nevertheless, it is for everybody.
It is as universal a holiday as possible.
Who would not want to give thanks?
That is an interesting question, isn't it?
If you don't in any way honor thanksgiving, that's not a good sign about you.
Giving thanks is the best thing people could do.
So I have talked about gratitude all of my life, basically.
Gratitude is the mother of happiness, and gratitude is the mother of goodness.
An ungrateful person cannot be happy.
And an ungrateful person cannot be good.
So you're really a bad dude if you are ungrateful.
Ingrates are produced, by the way, in the millions at our universities.
You get a BA in ingratitude, a master's in ingratitude, and a PhD in ingratitude.
Ingratitude is the dominant sentiment.
In half of our country.
An amazing thing.
To live here and be ungrateful is mind-boggling.
Yet, of course, that is the case for so many.
So here is a suggestion, and this may answer the question of how will you have Thanksgiving with people with whom you differ profoundly on political and social issues.
I suggest...
Drumroll, please.
I suggest that you begin your Thanksgiving dinner.
Somebody, if you are a guest, suggest it.
If you are the host, just announce it.
Before we eat, and I think it's extremely significant for young people, before you begin eating, Just say, let's go around the table and have everybody say what they are grateful for.
Right?
How could that possibly not be a terrific idea?
And it will challenge some people because they're so used to being ungrateful.
They may not have an answer.
But I think most people will.
And I think it sets up a very human, non-political atmosphere for your Thanksgiving dinner.
And by the way, if there is somebody who says, well, I can't think of anything, what a self-indictment.
You can't think of anything?
Did you not drive here?
Because you have eyesight?
And because you have the health to drive?
And because you have the money for a car?
Why aren't those reasons for gratitude?
You have friends?
Are you grateful for having friends?
Do you have a family?
Are you grateful for having a family?
Are you grateful for your marriage?
Grateful for your health?
Grateful for your work?
That's my suggestion on how to have a pleasant Thanksgiving dinner with people with whom you differ profoundly with regard to America and all the other issues that have arisen.
1-8 Prager-776-877-243-7776.
All right, should we break to it?
No, no, no, no, no, we won't.
That's fine.
I'll announce it, and that's it.
I don't like to interrupt the happiness hour for anything.
Maybe nuclear war.
I would say go to a shelter and then continue listening to the show.
So, what...
Well, how does that strike you?
Opening the Thanksgiving dinner with going around the room, and by the way, going around the table and having kids.
The by the way was with regard to young people.
You have to start young people thinking about what they're grateful for, not what they're complaining about.
If you want to make a good person and a happy person, inculcate Gratitude from the beginning of their lives.
That's why you tell, say thank you, right?
Say thank you.
Say thank you.
Alright, 1-8 Prager-776.
877-243-776.
This is the best possible way to avoid conflict and to have a Beautiful dinner.
Gratitude unites people.
Gratitude is a uniting thing in people's lives.
And it could truly make a happier Thanksgiving dinner.
All right, I'll tell you something I'm grateful for.
The verdict in Kenosha has just come in, and he's not guilty on all five counts.
Is that correct?
On all charges.
If that is correct, it just came in.
I don't know why it wouldn't be correct.
There's something to be grateful for, but I wouldn't say that at your dinner.
Because that could set off...
You don't want to be grateful with regard to something that could set off the folks at your Thanksgiving table.
It really is a chance.
This is a chance to have something beautiful.
Because this could engender discussion.
Well, I'm grateful for X. Oh, really?
You know, tell us a little about that.
There are such rifts in American families.
Unprecedented rifts.
I mean, it reminds me of Benjamin Franklin.
Didn't Benjamin Franklin have a child who was supportive of the British?
Is that right, Mr. Producer?
Benjamin Franklin had a son who was supportive of the British?
So, I mean, you have to go back that far in American history to find such rifts.
David Horowitz grew up with Communist Party parents.
Communists.
And yet, I don't know if there was the rift in his family.
Powerful anti-communist aside from me that I know of in this country.
But I don't know if he had the rifts in his family that exist today.
That's the way you should open up your Thanksgiving dinner.
Going around the table, what are you grateful for?
What do you give thanks for?
This is, after all, Thanksgiving.
It is completely non-political a subject.
1-8 Prager 776 Then
we are going to bring in innovative charter schools.
Most people don't know that charter schools are public schools, and so they fight against it.
They worship the building instead of the child, and we're not going to just keep throwing money at bat.
Governor-elect Youngkin has promised us he's going to fire.
The current superintendent, day one, fire this current superintendent.

What?
Is he charged with first-degree murder?
That's right.
Two counts.
How is that possible?
It's an altercation.
I mean...
First degree murder is where you're like, I'm going to murder this person and go to their home with, you know, not some sort of bar fight going wrong.
Yeah, so you're right, actually.
That would be, what you're talking about would potentially be either voluntary manslaughter.
Yeah, that's what I never understood about this.
Vengeful intent.
Now, what's interesting to me is that...
The prosecution just a few minutes ago before I came on this show just rested in this case after about a week and a half of testimony.
They did not present a single shred of evidence that Kyle Rittenhouse showed up with intent to hurt anyone.
Well, but this is what I can't understand, is that the judge, the pretrial, you know, arguments, because this is just, you have months to submit, you know, motions to dismiss.
You're trying to tell me no one looked at this?
They say, wait a second.
You're charging a guy who got in an altercation was, by the way, the guy that Kyle Rittenhouse killed.
In self-defense was like a child rapist or something, right?
He was like a child pedophile or something.
Is that right?
Multiple count child rapist.
I'm not saying he deserves to die because of it.
Right.
The details of that case, if anyone wants to see it, it's absolutely horrific.
This is not Gandhi, okay?
What's interesting, though, what is actually relevant, what's actually relevant to this is that he had just been released from a hospital where he was being held on a psychiatric hold.

Subscribe on YouTube and at rumble.com Talking about Being grateful, I'm very grateful to the jury in Kenosha that just came in, the verdict.
All five counts not guilty.
As I have said, and this is the happiness hour, I'm just incorporating a big news item into it.
But as I said, had they not acquitted him in this vile prosecution from a vile prosecutor, it would have ended...
To a very large extent, the whole notion of self-defense in the United States of America.
The service this jury performed cannot be overstated.
Absolutely cannot be overstated.
Yes, you can shoot people who are out to shoot you.
This is about as elementary a moral ideal as exists in the human race.
And that's what this young man did.
And no matter what, even had there been one count of guilty, it would have tainted him.
Unfairly.
Completely unfairly.
For the rest of his life.
But no, no, you know, he was found guilty on this, even if he was acquitted in a retrial.
But not guilty on all five in the first trial.
That, on all five counts, that's big.
So I am grateful for that.
I truly am.
There's been actually a fair amount of good news in the United States.
There is an awakening to the evil that has been transforming the United States of America.
And this trial is an example of that evil.
This boy never should have been put on trial.
Never.
Somebody I know tangentially, the brother of a dear person in my life, actually dealt with this person.
He lives in Wisconsin.
Knew of this prosecutor.
And before COVID, spoke of how vile a human being he found him to be.
It was very interesting.
And that had to do with...
Marriage in custody.
Nothing to do with politics.
But vile is vile.
Anyway, my theme for Thanksgiving to have a good dinner, that's with people in your family or among friends with whom you agree on very little, is open up the dinner, going around the table.
I mean, if it takes 20 minutes, big deal.
People could munch on something if they're famished.
But having people go around the table and saying what they're grateful for is a great beginning.
You could start discussing that and go on with the dinner, with the subjects that that raises.
Okay, David in Los Angeles.
Hello.
Hi.
Hello.
Hi.
Hi.
My question is, the American Indians played a role in the original Thanksgiving.
What should they be thankful for?
So I'll answer with a question and tell me if this is a fair answer to you or not.
Jews played a tremendous role in German culture and then were exterminated.
What should a Jew be grateful for?
Probably for a lot of things now.
Why can't an American Indian be grateful for anything now?
Is an American Indian doomed to depression for as long as Indians exist?
No, but it seems like the American Indian suffered a so far permanent injury from the From the settlers.
The American Jews have somehow recovered from the Holocaust.
Right, exactly.
So, I'm giving a fairly good analogy, and I don't know why you can't recover.
Maybe you can, but it seems like a lot of Native Americans haven't.
That's right.
And I believe that part of the reason is the left has told them not to recover.
Because if you're not ungrateful, you're not on the left.
This is the whole theme of my happiness hour today about gratitude.
Most American Indians didn't give a damn about the Washington Redskins having the name Redskins.
This was done, the Washington Post, which agitated for years against the Redskins name, did a thorough survey of American Indians and found that overwhelmingly they didn't give a damn about the name Redskins.
To the Washington Post credit, it actually published their own findings.
They didn't expect it.
They had no choice.
People knew that they were making this study.
The opposition to Cleveland Indians is leftist.
It is not Indians.
Why would an Indian object to the name Indian?
They're being celebrated.
You're an Indian fan.
To use the Jewish analogy again, a man called me up on one of my ten favorite calls.
Well, Dennis, why would you think if a team were named Jews?
And I said, Sir, Jews have been looking for fans for 3,000 years.
We wanted the greatest days in Jewish history.
Let's go, Jews!
Hey, get some Jewish paraphernalia.
The whole bitterness is left-wing induced.
The thought that an American Indian has nothing to be grateful for.
They don't have families.
They don't have friends.
They don't have homes.
They don't have health.
This is a condescension to an American Indian.
You have nothing to be grateful for at Thanksgiving.
Everybody else does, but not you.
That's why I took your call first, David.
I thank you for it.
It was actually quite important.
Okay, let's see here.
Another Dave in Auburn, California.
Hello.
Hey, Dennis.
Love you so much, and happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you.
I just wanted to throw a little caveat at your idea, which would be...
I wanted to say this, you know, I have a family member and we love her, a cousin, but this person, if you said, you know, what are you thankful for, would likely immediately go into something like, oh, that Trump was defeated, that Trump isn't ruined in the country, you know, it would instantly be political because it's religious in nature.
I would say maybe just to say something to the effect of, hey, let's keep this a micro.
Versus a macro thing.
Well, that's a very, again, that's an important call.
So my suggestion that everybody say what they're grateful for.
I love your call.
He has a cousin who might say, I'm grateful Trump isn't president.
What do you do with that?
I find that hilarious.
That somebody would walk around and that would be their first statement.
It's truly a derangement syndrome.
It is.
I never said it during the four years of his presidency.

indeed Hi, everybody.
I'm Dennis Prager.
This is the Happiness Hour.
And I admit it contributed to my happiness, the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, that he's not guilty on all five counts.
It's a mixed happiness because he never should have been put on trial.
I hope that charges are brought against this guy like charges were brought against the prosecutor in North Carolina.
With regard to the Duke lacrosse team and the scandal of, of course, the media, the lying media.
They are a lying media.
That's what they are.
That's their single biggest function is to lie.
Okay?
I'm sorry to say that.
It bothers me.
But in any event, Kyle Rittenhouse should not have been on trial.
So just want to note that.
Back to the happiness hour, I have a great suggestion, I think, to depoliticize and to remove as many tensions as you can remove, or as much tension as you can remove.
Open up the Thanksgiving meal by asking everybody to say, since it's Thanksgiving, say some of the things you give most thanks for in your life at this time.
It's wonderful for kids to have to think about what they're grateful for and not what they're complaining about.
And it's wonderful for adults for the exact same reason.

That's wonderful.
Well, what I'm thankful for is the three hours of the Dennis Prager radio show in Culver City, California.

Yep, that would be our TAs.
Really?
Oh, that is so funny.
If you could send me a little video of that.
All right, all right, but I've got to be careful.
What's your cell phone on?
What are you looking for?
Oh, God, you're right.
Look, I don't want to get anybody in trouble.
That's a precious call.
The thing is, though, so here's a great question.
Can Coach, I'll ask him, hold on, I've got to ask you.
So are you going to be having a Thanksgiving dinner?
I am, of course, yeah.
Okay, fine.
I'm not a single male.
Will anybody at the dinner be opposite of you politically?
Yeah, I'd say probably four, maybe five out of six people.
Okay, so it was probably not advisable for you to say, I'm grateful for the Dennis Prager show.
Not advisable at all, and it's also not advisable to say I'm running for Culver City City Council as a moderate Democrat, but I'm never voting Democrat again.
You couldn't pay, well, I guess you could pay me.
No, you couldn't pay me for Democrat again.
No, no, no, I understand, you know, a couple of million bucks you'd vote Democrat once.
Okay, you're a charmer.
I loved your call.
So that's a good example.
As much as I would appreciate it, it's not a good idea unless everybody is more or less uniform, or the people who don't agree with you can handle it.
Not a good idea to say I'm grateful for Dennis Bringer.
I admit it.
Oh, boy.
I wouldn't even think to say I'm grateful for Dennis Bringer.
Actually, I am grateful.
Not for Dennis Prager, but I am grateful for this radio show.
I totally am grateful to PragerU.
I'm grateful to Salem.
Those are major sources of gratitude in my life.
That is true.
But this could be transformative.
I don't know when I came up with the idea.
I think today.
Because I know how many people are worried about their Thanksgiving meal.

So or legitimately so.

That Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted today, just now, all five counts.
It is evil that he was brought to trial to begin with.
I hope that the prosecutor is prosecuted for malicious prosecution.
That is my next hope.
But in the meantime, thank God he was acquitted.
If that was not legitimate self-defense, there is no such thing as legitimate self-defense.
So anyway, that's a happy thing.
Very happy thing.
But I must, well, anyway, I'll talk about that, obviously, next hour.
I don't ever defer the happiness hour.
That's why you tune in this hour, and I give you what you tune in for.
My suggestion for Thanksgiving, because you'll probably have some people at the dinner with whom you differ, politically, socially, morally, theologically, whatever elite you want to mention.
Open up the dinner before you eat.
If people are hungry, they can munch on stuff, on the, you know, some crackers with dip.
Whatever you want to do.
But even if this takes 20 minutes, do it.
What are you grateful for?
What do you give thanks for on Thanksgiving?
I think that could help your dinner a great deal.
All righty, everybody.
Okay, so I know Danny wants to talk about the Indians, and so does Jay, and I have really exhausted that topic for now.
I thank you both for calling, but I've now cleared up some lines.
John, you'll have to call next hour if you're talking about the verdict, and I'd like to hear from you.
I know you're in law enforcement, so I now have cleared up three lines.
1-8 Prager 776. 877-243-7776.
Sam in Apple Valley, Minnesota.
Hello.
Hello, Dennis.
Good to talk to you.
Happy Friday.
Happy Friday.
So my comment is that it does not depoliticize the holiday of Thanksgiving to give thanks before the meal.
While I am in favor of that, everyone should give thanks on Thanksgiving for all the blessings they have.
It's just the left has a different name for blessings, and the name they have for it is privilege.
And what the left says is, check your privilege, which is a way of saying, don't be grateful for that which you should be grateful for.
That's an intelligent comment.
*laughs* That would be funny, eh?
We could really make a dark little video.
I'm grateful for being white.
I'm grateful for white privilege.
That's very funny.
But he's right.
I mean, but I can't imagine, though, that if you say you're grateful for your health, that will be dismissed as white privilege.
Unless, well, whites get better health care.
Okay, I don't know.
Do whites get better health care than Asians?
I think healthcare is dependent upon money, and Asians make more than whites, to the best of my knowledge, just as an example.
Anyway, I would still gamble with this.
Let people think what they think.
People need to be grateful.
Now, it is interesting, because when I have done this in the past, Earlier in my life, as well as more recently, one of the things I would always say I'm grateful for is being an American.
It's a pretty damn lucky thing to be American.
The proof is, much of the world would like to move here.
There's a certain ironic thing about that, isn't it?
Three million black people, or blacks, black people sound silly.
Three million blacks have moved to the United States.
Two million from Africa, one million from the Caribbean in the last, I don't know, 40 years, whatever it is.
Were they dumb?
As I always point out, no Jews moved to Germany in the 1930s.
People don't move to countries where they're hated.
They move to countries where they'll have a better life.
And they know it.
All right.
So that's what I would like to see at your Thanksgiving open.
Kevin, Lake Elsinore, California.
Hello.
Hello, Dennis.
Thanks for taking my call.
I think you're trying to water down the Thanksgiving holiday.
I think all gratitude and thankfulness is always rooted...
In godly virtue.
So in order to be thankful, we need to be thankful to somebody or something.
Like, for instance, I'm grateful to the jury for their verdict.
But without having something to be thankful to and expressing gratitude to, I think it's meaningless.
It removes all the meaning of gratitude and thankfulness.
Thankfulness is rooted in God.
I am a big fan, as you know, of being thankful to God.
And I actually did shows in the past, in my radio life of 40 years, if you don't thank God on Thanksgiving, whom do you thank?
But I have challenged myself, and I do that all the time, I challenge myself, can you be grateful if you don't believe in God?
And I think you can.
As much as this holiday is rooted in thankfulness to God, that's how Lincoln started modern Thanksgiving.
Like, if you're healthy, you can be grateful for your health, even though there's no being that your gratitude is directed toward.
So I think that we could have Thanksgiving with secular relatives and friends, and they can say thanks as well.
Let's do it.
Thank you.
I've just heard so much about this and nobody seems to be taking it seriously.
This is the exact reason that in normal science, this is not normal science by any stretch of the imagination, we do benefit-risk analysis.
And obviously that is different for each person.
But here we're not doing that.
We're just saying everybody needs to do this.
And we're completely neglecting natural immunity.
Which is extremely important.
We've recognized it for decades and decades before now.
Now they won't even want to talk about it or acknowledge it at all.
What do you reckon is behind that?
I mean, this is a big thing.
What can be behind something like that?
Well, I can't think of any scientific valid reason for doing it.
You know, there could be political reasons or other things going on, but I can't think of any scientific reason.
Why you would ignore the evidence and the facts and just push a one-size-fits-all ideology.
We also know that many people have objections to these vaccines because all three of them, in one way or the other, involved aborted.
Children, there's no getting around that.
And so if somebody has an objection to that, how is it that the government can wipe away religious liberty and say, you've got to get this.
If you want to keep your job, you've got to get this.
You know, for the government to mandate away your religious liberty is a real issue.
And even the federal court has recognized that and put a stay on the mandate.

Okay y'all.
Dennis Prager.
Happiness Hour.
The Rittenhouse verdict came in.
Not guilty on all counts.
I'll talk about it next hour and take calls on everything, as I always do, on the third hour of Friday.
But this hour is the Happiness Hour.
Open up your dinner with what do you give thanks for on Thanksgiving.
I think that that could depoliticize the evening.
It makes it intimate.
People can open up.
Kids hear people saying, and they have to say what they're, that they give thanks for.
It's huge.
It's transformative, in fact.
David in San Antonio, hello.
What a David hour.
It really is David hour.
Hello.
Hi, hello.
It's an honor to speak with you.
Thank you.
I just wanted to say that my family, his family, are suggesting for over three decades.
It's a wonderful thing.
Sometimes, well, just thinking about it makes me get choked up, but sometimes people really get moved by hearing what other people say.
That is exactly right.
I'm gonna let you go because it's not the clearest connection, but that is exactly right.
Thank you.
It is very moving to other people to hear other people's gratitude.
It's a very important and good idea that I'm giving you, in my opinion.
All right, let me summarize some of your calls here.
Diane in Fort Worth, politics ruins these gatherings.
Political talk used to be taboo.
Well, it should be taboo, unless you can, you know, nobody gets offended, which is very rare.
So I think that...
By opening up with, what do you give thanks for?
You've depoliticized the evening, unless they want to politicize their gratitude, obviously.
Tammy in St. Paul, Minnesota, kept a gratefulness journal for her grandmother and read it at her memorial.
That's beautiful.
Mona in Cleveland, Ohio, smaller and smaller Thanksgiving dinners because of fear of COVID. Oh, God, is that sad?
It's so sad.
I hate fear.
Dean in Northvale, New Jersey, is grateful to be alive and conscious.
Good, say it.
That's a good thing.
All right, that's my suggestion.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, call in on any subject under the sun, and I'll reflect on the Rittenhouse verdict.

At the moment, no.
This guy is a scumbag.
He is awful.
Contrast that with Governor DeSantis, America's greatest governor, most courageous.
And just just announced his reelection campaign to become governor of Florida.
Again, a well-deserved campaign of a man who has been overly courageous with now the lowest COVID rates in the country.

This all started to rise in the United States when we started to ship our college students away for a semester in Florence.

And migrants who enter the U.S. legally certainly don't get this kind of payout.

I'm going to talk about Kyle Rittenhouse, obviously, but enjoy the music.
Okay, y'all, whatever's on your mind about you, about me, about Kyle Rittenhouse, about life, about death.
And, of course, fountain pens, classical music, audio equipment, photography equipment, and cigars.
1-8 Prager, 776-877-243-7776.
Not guilty on all five counts, Kyle Rittenhouse.
The left argument...
The left's argument is that you can't have vigilantes in society, people taking it on their own to carry weapons and to protect themselves, others, and property.
As a general statement, I wish we didn't.
The police did nothing in almost every city where we have had, I don't know, hundreds of millions of dollars of damage done by rioters in 2020.
It's not an attack on the police.
It's either true or not true that police generally did nothing.
That's why there was so much chaos and damage and destruction.
And what happens when you have anarchy is there are people who will take order into their own hands.
That is as inevitable as the sun rising tomorrow that people will not accept or some people will not accept anarchy.
Anarchy is the left's great friend because they love...
Everything they do is chaos.
There are no men and women.
It's a spectrum.
That's chaos.
Everything they do leads to chaos.
Had the police confronted rioters, and I'm being very precise, not protesters, rioters in the various cities in the country?
People can't set up in front, what was it, Portland?
People can't set up their own little city and then Seattle and get away with it?
And be armed to make sure that nobody disrupts their little utopian or really dystopian town?
What do you expect people to do?
How many businesses were destroyed by rioters?
In the original Kenosha riots.
I don't know the answer.
I'm just asking.
So I was reading the New York Times.
I always like to read what the left has to say.
The jury appeared to accept Mr. Rittenhouse's explanation that he had acted reasonably to defend himself during demonstrations in a case that fueled debate over gun rights and vigilantism.
Right.
Why don't we have a debate over riots?
That would be a I think that would be a good thing to have a debate about.
Let's see what CNN has to say.
I get a big kick out of this.
Rittenhouse not guilty.
Let's see.
where would they have a summary?
Yeah, look at that.
Here's their I'd like to read to you how the CNN lead article reads.
I'm just doing this live.
I couldn't read this and the New York Times during the break.
Kyle Rittenhouse found not guilty on all charges.
And what's under it?
Two minutes ago, it says.
Family of Anthony Huber, one of those killed.
There is no accountability for the person who murdered our son.
The family of Anthony Huber, one of the men who was fatally shot by Kyle Rittenhouse during unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin last summer, said in a statement that, quote, there is no accountability for the person who murdered our son.
Right.
So then they have their statement.
I actually, I would be interested in reading their statement.
Today's verdict means there is no accountability for the person who murdered our son.
It sends the unacceptable message that armed civilians can show up in any town, incite violence, and then use the danger they have created to justify shooting people in the street.
So the people who came to stop violence are the people who incited violence.
Are they proud of their son?
I guess they are.
There it is.
Look at that.
I asked the question.
Look at the last paragraph of their statement.
And we are so proud of Anthony and we love him so much.
He is a hero who sacrificed his own life to protect other innocent civilians.
We ask that you remember Anthony and keep him in your prayers.
Look, I don't expect parents to say anything.
Other than this, but I did want to note that that is the featured article or featured paragraphs in the CNN report.
1A Prager 776. Jacob Blake's uncle reacts.
This is CNN 2. I mean, it is so remarkable.
I mean, this is even worse than the New York Times.
The next one, well, the next one is how long the jury took to deliberate.
That's a grand total of about ten sentences.
Jacob Blake's uncle reacts to Rittenhouse verdict.
This isn't the United States we used to live in.
If you actually study the Jacob Blake killing, at the very least, it's morally ambiguous.
us.
The idea that the police shot a man for no good reason is a lie.
It's not fair to truth.
Forget the police.
It's not fair to truth.
And that they shot him because he's black, there is no basis for that.
There was a child in the car.
They feared he would take away the child, that he would kidnap the child.
He was grabbing a knife.
What are the police supposed to do?
I don't know the answer.
It's an open question.
What are the police in an ideal world?
What should the police have done?
Yes.
I'm just happy that he doesn't have, Kyle Rittenhouse does not have, convicted of manslaughter or convicted of third-degree murder or whatever they would have.
Even if it would be overturned by the judge or overturned in a court in a second trial.
Okay, 1-8 Prager 776 is the number for a whole host of...
Of issues that you might want to raise.
This is the open line hour.
Stephen, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Hello.
Dennis, how are you?
Okay.
So my question is, and I can actually make a segue to the Rittenhouse situation, but my question was more formally about what your thoughts are about China, to what degree it represents an existential threat to the United States.
There's a lot of saber rally going on now.
How much of our blood and treasure should we spend in defending Taiwan if it comes down to that?
To me, it's like dealing with the mob writ large at great scale.
That's what the CCP is to me.
And it certainly is in our interest, I think, to have a free Taiwan.
But I'd love to know your thoughts on how far we push that envelope or not.
That's a very fair question.
China has replaced the Soviet Union.
As our chief enemy, by far, Xi, that's the leader of Communist China, is really the successor to Mao.
The successors to Mao, then Xiaoping and others, they were successors.
In the sense of they succeeded him as leaders of China, but they were not his ideological successors.
Xi wants a totalitarian state and wants to be the dictator of it.
about Taiwan when we come back.
That's pretty great.

I'm Dennis Prager, as you undoubtedly know.
News travels fast.
Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all five counts.
I salute the jury.
Would have been a dark day for the notion of self-defense.
But as I said earlier, it is a tragedy.
I agree with the left on it.
It is a tragedy that people now have to defend stores, businesses, people.
Because police won't.
That was the lesson of 2020. If you don't protect yourself and others, nobody else will.
Portland, Seattle, New York, you name the place, San Francisco, Chicago.
The police were told to basically do nothing.
And largely, they did nothing.
You can't let people torch police cars.
It's as simple as that.
Every time a police car is on fire, is set on fire, it reduces the prestige of police.
It reduces fear of police.
Fear of police is one of the most important ingredients of a civil society.
If people don't fear the police, they will do evil.
I am saying things that I knew in third grade.
That I have to say them shows you the level of discourse in this country because of the left.
Gee, if the police don't stop people, and if nobody fears the police, there will be more people murdered, more women raped, more houses burglarized.
How about that?
More cars hijacked.
Fear of police is huge.
I prefer fear of God, but...
I live in the real world.
If everybody feared a good God, a just God, there would be a lot less crime as well.
But they don't.
So if they don't fear God, they better fear the police.
But in many cities, you can rob $950 or $900 worth of items every day.
And it won't even be...
It will be a trivial misdemeanor if it's prosecuted at all.
That is the reason you have people guarding stores.
If they believed the police would, they wouldn't do it.
Ask the Kyle Rittenhouses of America, would you prefer to be home and have the police guard the stores or go out there?
I tend to believe that the answer would be...
That they would prefer to stay home.
All right, whatever is on your mind, Hour, and people are calling in on a whole host of issues.
And, Stephen, Philadelphia.
Another city ruined by Democrats.

The happiness hour, the relationship hour.
We've discussed a lot of the things that you bring up, and it's helped us.
Oh, great.
It's helped me.
You know, I now live by the motto, wherever I go...
It's the place to be.
Always be happy.
You know, it's just your choice.
But anyway, I'm going to digress.
But I'm fearful that the Biden administration, the left, unwilling, absolutely unwilling to accept defeat any longer.
And it's not necessarily defeat, but that's how they're looking at it.
They're going to bring federal civil rights charges against Kyle.
I know that the White House is about to make a statement, which I find absurd to begin with.
Why are they making a statement?
But apparently they're going to, and I won't be surprised if that's the avenue they go down.
That's a very interesting thought.
I didn't have that thought, and you may be right.
Well, President Biden had the audacity to disgrace his office by Commenting on Rittenhouse to begin with?
When he knew nothing?
And condemned him?
He's not the President of the United States.
He's President of the left.
He has the power of the President of the United States.
Hmm.
Well...
That would be a sad day.
There are a lot of sad days.
I don't know if they'll do it.
I'll tell you one reason, because they only think politically, and I think they think that the majority of Americans believe that he acted in self-defense.
And they wouldn't win the case either.
And it's a bad idea to go into court.
Unless you are fairly confident that you will win.
Because the loss looks bad for the government.
So I don't know if they will do it.
But it's an interesting thought.

Again, hurt by others, and I was kind of been under the premise, again, being born and raised Catholic, that forgiveness has to be sought by the offender, and that if somebody that hurts you in any means does not really feel contrite, nor feel they've done anything wrong, and never ask forgiveness, but yet a lot of people forgive them for their actions.
So I've always kind of been...
Not necessarily to have a grudge, per se, or animosity, but, you know, when I have been hurt and the person has not felt they've done anything wrong, and I've just kind of eliminated them from my life as a toxic, but I'm just kind of looking for a pin on that, because there's a lot of people that, you know, need to forgive, maybe for themselves to move on, but I just saw that as if somebody does something wrong, and they do not seek forgiveness, nor feel they've done anything wrong.
Then, you know, why would I forgive them?
Thank you.
I happen to agree with you.
We have...
God doesn't forgive if we don't repent.
So why should we?
I've never gotten a coherent response to that.
It might be a beautiful thing for one's own health.
Then I don't care, that's fine.
But morally, it's not a good idea.
I forgive you, and you don't even think you did anything wrong?
And you have no contrition?
And you have not apologized?
But I forgive you anyway?
Then why should anybody ever apologize?
If forgiveness is automatic...
Why should anybody ever say I'm sorry?
We return in a moment.
Turning now on the Charlie Kirk Show.
Are you at all thinking about some relief on any of your mandates?
Listen, there's mandate fatigue everywhere, including with yours truly, so let there be no doubt about that.
At the moment, no.
This guy is a scumbag.
He is awful.
Contrast that with Governor DeSantis, America's greatest governor, most courageous, and just announced his re-election campaign to become governor of Florida again.
a well-deserved campaign of a man who has been overly courageous with now the lowest COVID rates in the country.
Can you get if it's COVID rate, death rates, or virus rates?
It's whatever it is.
It's the lowest in the country.
Pursuing alternative treatments like monoclonal antibodies.
The first major state to reopen.
Phenomenal economic figures.
No mask mandates for children.
And in the school districts that are doing that, DeSantis is clamping down.
He banned critical race theory and DeSantis has done this in a logical and reasonable way.
And I'm inspired by his leadership versus the weak Vichy French Republicans across the country that continually pander to Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson.
Ron DeSantis has been terrific.
But Ron DeSantis understands the promise of the Constitution, unlike Murphy and most Republicans in the country.
But Ron DeSantis says, a year and a half ago we started with 15 days to slow the spread.
Now it's get jabbed or lose your job.
You see, what Ron DeSantis recognizes is that the sovereign is the people, not him.
It's not we the Ron DeSantis or we the governor of Florida.
No, it's the people's rights that come first.

Sometimes there are policies so destructive that at first you don't believe they're true.
Joe Biden is currently defending one.
His plan to award $450,000 to migrants separated from their families after entering the U.S. illegally.
Children of diseased U.S. soldiers are separated from their parents permanently.
They don't receive this kind of money.
And migrants who enter the U.S. legally certainly don't get this kind of payout.
The Pilgrims.
They were poor.
They were outcasts.
They were enemies of the state for their refusal to submit to the Church of England.
The Mayfowl was a cargo ship, but the most precious cargo that was carried across the Atlantic were the ideas in the hearts of the Pilgrims that were drawn from the Bible.
Not only did they start self-rule, they started free trade, capitalism, land ownership, all in 10 years with 51 people.

left speaks about vigilantism.
The left caused 99% of the riot damage last year, maybe 100%, but there was some damage done, I assume, in the Capitol on January 6th, so I'd said 99%.
For them to have the chutzpah of speaking of vigilantism Months of mayhem that left-wing rioters caused is quite remarkable.
But there should be a warning here to all Americans, whatever your politics.
When the government loses control of a society, you will have civil war.
You will have a violent civil war.
If the government does not control evil, Then others will control evil, and that will mean a war.
I cannot imagine any other consequence of allowing mass destruction, mass violence to take place with no repercussions, or virtually no repercussions.
Some people were arrested.
A tiny, tiny segment.
Most of them acquitted, or not even acquitted, they didn't go on trial.
Released.
All right, more of your calls here on whatever is on your mind.
Jesus in Los Angeles, hello.
Good morning, Mr. Dennis.
Yes, sir.
Oh, yeah, I'm glad I got you on this one.
I was listening to what you were saying about...
If we don't fear the police, that problem is going to continue.
My opinion, fear is not the right word, because if we replace that word by respect and love, then we will have peace.
You also say, if we don't fear God, why should we fear God?
I don't think that's what the Bible teaches, but...
However, I think it's the right thing to do.
I was asking your young lady, what is it better, to fear your father or to respect him because you love him?
Well, let me tell you what fear of God, fear of a parent, fear of police means.
It means you fear doing wrong because you will be punished.
Why is that bad?
Exactly.
So you're saying God punished.
God does not punish.
God punished.
Remember, we made mistakes, and mistakes got consequences.
God does not punish.
That's the wrong message we're putting up there.
Excuse me, Jesus.
The God you believe in does not punish?
What was that again?
The God you believe in does not punish people?
He does not.
He lost all his children.
Where did you learn that?
That's a good question.
Why do we believe God punished?
Because that's what the Bible teaches.
The Bible teaches God doesn't punish?
Did you know that God destroyed the world in the time of Noah?
It's your own mistake.
My friend, did you know that God...
destroyed all of humanity, even if you don't believe literally in the story?
It is a story...
Let me finish.
Let me finish.
Is that a story of punishment?
God destroyed the world except for Noah?
That's a good thing.
But who wrote the Bible?
Well, you can't quote the Bible and then tell me you don't take it seriously.
Or you can, but at least admit it.
No, you don't.
Okay, the idea that God doesn't punish.
If I believed that, I'd be an atheist.
Okay?
Then that is one of the worst possible gods that could ever exist.
A God that does not punish evil stinks.
Is a cruel God.
Is an unloving God.
Is an unjust God.
I have no interest in such a God.
But I am delighted you called.
And I'm not being cute.
I am delighted you called.
There are probably many people who believe God doesn't punish.
I don't know where they got that idea, but it's a bad one.
Does God reward?
Are good people rewarded?
It's a fair question.
I guess not.
Because then the people who are not rewarded are being punished.
Correct?
Correct.
So, if God doesn't punish, God doesn't reward.
In other words, God doesn't give a damn about good and evil.
What a God.
I've said that often.
It's a very important lesson.
A lot of people who believe in God do not believe in the God of the Bible.
That's fine.
You can believe whatever you like.
All right, what is it, Sean?

Then we are going to bring in innovative charter schools.
Most people don't know that charter schools are public schools, and so they fight against it.
They worship the building instead of the child, and we're not going to just keep throwing money at bat.

He'd have this terrible darkness over his life.
He did not kill, he did not murder, number one.
Number two, he did not kill innocent people.
I understand that the parents of such people do not want to recognize that.
It's so painful to lose your child.
I have nothing to say to those parents except I am sorry for you.
But some people have bad kids.
Most parents do not recognize, or many parents, I don't know about most, do not recognize a bad child.
It's too painful.
And by the way, it may not be at all the parent's fault.
It might be, and it might not be.
I'll never forget, I read a book of a horrific murderer.
Horrific.

She recognized how bad he was.

And, you know, this is not in the Epstein category, which is very bad, but there are gradations of evil.
And it's very bad if we don't remember that.
Sleeping with a 17-year-old.

Bob in Anderson, South Carolina.
Hello.
Thanks Dennis.
I really appreciate you.
You are wise beyond your years.
Thank you.
Many years.
I have to thank you.
I have a very good life.
But every once in a while I get down, and about once or twice a week I think to myself, if nothing is horrific, then life is terrific.
And I want to thank you for that.
But then I also thought of something as far as maybe how the left sees life.
If not everything is terrific, then life is terrific.
All right.
You are the man.
I love it.
My motto is, if nothing's horrific, life is terrific.
And their line is, if everything isn't terrific, life is horrific.
You're good.
Boy, is that perfect.
I've got to remember that.
That's a Dennis left difference in a nutshell.

Thank you, Mr. Prager.
I wanted to convey the thoughts of the crowd in Phoenix.
It was an honor to host you at the Orpheum this week.
Oh, it was great to be there.
It was a great crowd, too.
Thank you.
Of course, sir.
Unfortunately, I think we're going to see more of what I branded as Operation Chaos last June, where the left and the establishment people in our government and society are going to continue to delegitimize all of our institutions to just break down the fabric of society.
Yeah, well, there certainly would be more had he been...
Charged with and found guilty of murder.
Then it would have been an announcement, citizens cannot stop you who are tearing down our society with violence while the police watch.
So that would, this, among the many advantages of this verdict, is at least an acknowledgement that people can defend themselves against thugs.
Could I humbly disagree?
Sure.
Even non-humbly.
Thank you, sir.
I think they'll take it as a reason to disagree with the norms, the stated norms, and the people that strive for Operation Chaos will be emboldened.
I think this is worse than if he would have been found guilty.
Why?
For the country.
Because I think this will be an excuse for whatever the 30 or 40 percent.
To burn cities to the ground like they did in Minneapolis and Atlanta and New York.
They don't need an excuse.
That's true, sir.
We've been in a civil war for a year.
We've been in a civil war for at least 25 years.
And by the way, I said this 25 years ago, that we're in a civil war.
But anyway, I appreciate your call.
The left...
Look, they used January 6th like the Nazis used the Reichstag fire.
And I said that at the time.
You just focus on that while you destroy the country, while you take over more, while you become more dictatorial.
Get people to focus on your enemies while you are becoming dictatorial.
And if you deny that Biden is dictatorial, then you...
Then the only question is, do you believe your denial?
I've always wondered and have no answer.
What's worse, lying to others or lying to yourself?

I'm A-Vate.
I... We'll add the liberal part afterwards.
That was a very good insight on my caller.
I made a boo-boo earlier.
I said I would mention Taiwan.
It was called in.
Should the United States go to war with China, if China invades Taiwan, what's our choice?
The world would be so radically changed, allowing one of the most totalitarian states in the world to destroy another country.
I know they think Taiwan is part of China.
You can think whatever you want.
There are Mexicans who think that Texas is part of Mexico.
That's fair.
But if they invaded Texas, we would repel them.
Taiwan is the only free China left.
Hong Kong was the other one.
And China destroyed their freedom.
So it's a big dilemma.
I agree.
I don't want war with China.
They raise their citizens to be proud to be Chinese.
We raise our citizens to feel disgraced to be Americans.
