Music playing in bright rhythm.
interesting things that I hear on the radio.
It's one of the great reasons to listen to radio.
You hear so many thoughts.
For somebody to say that the vaccination is as safe as peanut butter is one of those leaps of faith that is remarkable.
I guess, is there a VAERS system?
For peanut butter, like there is for the vaccine, what does VAERS stand for?
Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting.
Do we have a peanut butter adverse events reporting system?
But that gentleman who called believes that.
The vaccine is as safe as peanut butter.
And I'm not even telling people not to get it.
It's not as safe as peanut butter.
I was corrected by my doctor.
Regeneron is not plasma from recovered patients.
It is a monoclonal antibody combination grown in humanized animal cells.
Anyway, that is something I got.
For those tuning in, I have COVID. I am doing really well.
I bless therapeutics.
I wish the whole country had been on them.
I wish we didn't have a lockdown.
I wish we had used therapeutics from the outset, as I indeed had advocated.
I have a very important guest on, Erica Commissar, and then I will return to the issue of COVID. She's a psychoanalyst, frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal.
Her new book is Chicken Little...
The sky isn't falling, raising resilient adolescents in the new age of anxiety.
She also presented a recent PragerU video, Why Even Atheists Should Teach Their Children About God.
Erica, welcome back to the Dennis Prager Show.
Thank you, Dennis, and I wish you a speedy recovery.
It seems to be happening.
Thank you very much.
Erica, I took a position, and if you don't agree with me, I always tell guests it's a non-issue, but you may have, I'm sure you followed, given this is your field, that this huge report in the Wall Street Journal that Facebook,
which owns Instagram, It's come out that vast numbers of girls, teenage girls, are depressed and 6% are even suicidal in thinking because of the bad body image that they get looking at other girls on Instagram.
my reaction was, such is life, everybody on earth confronts people who are smarter than them, better looking than them, brighter than them, more successful than them, better spouse than more successful than them, better spouse than they think they have, better kids than they think they have, better income than they think they have, that the answer is not to shut it down, but to teach your daughter resilience.
That's my position.
What do you think?
Well, you're right in saying that Facebook isn't the cause of mental disorder.
but it's an amplifier.
So social media is a kind of amplifier of the underlying fragility of many adolescents.
So if you take an adolescent who has a very strong, emotionally secure background...
And you introduce them to modest amounts of social media, they may not have that kind of extreme reaction as a more fragile adolescent who hasn't had that, you know, healthy, emotionally healthy, secure background.
And I write about that in my first book, right, that you have always been a great supporter of mine, and I'm so grateful.
But my first book is about how you create the emotional foundation in children.
So heading into adolescence, they're more secure so they can be more resilient and withstand the pressures of things like social media.
So what is your answer to this theoretical crisis of terrible self-image?
Is it to get rid of the images or teach the kids resilience?
Well, I mean, I think one thing that we have to look at is that the images are idealized.
They're touched up.
Much like in my generation, I'm 57, in my generation it was fashion magazines, right?
So we had, you know, Vogue and Mademoiselle and all those fashion magazines.
They were also touched up.
All right, hold it there.
This is really, really important.
Erica Commissar's book is up at DennisPrager.com.

Larry Sabato from the Virginia Center of Politics, and he said, for all the talk about the 2022 midterms, really what we need to be focused on is a 2021 midterm.
That occurs November 2nd in Virginia.
Now, what occurs to me that is a great tell is President Biden is not coming to help out, Terry McCullough.
They're bringing in former President Obama to try and generate some enthusiasm without setting you up one way or the other.
How do you cover critical race theory?
Because it's become the central issue in Virginia.
What do you say about it?
Well, critical race theory has become the proxy for the school districts fighting Virginia and who should control what children are taught.
And you have some of the largest and most liberal school districts in the country in Virginia.
You also have some of the more conservative school districts in Virginia.
And what I thought was key, and obviously you've played this soundbite a lot, is the Youngkin-McAuliffe debate, which goes to show you why real debates and real news, especially in politics, are important and actually sometimes elicit the most interesting things, where Terry McAuliffe essentially said that parents should not have a say in what their children are taught.
Whether it relates to critical race theory, whether it relates to gender studies, whether it relates to transsexual issues, whatever it is, Terry McAuliffe thinks the school boards and the teachers' unions know better.
That's a perfectly legitimate political argument.
What was interesting was he actually said the quiet part out loud.
He said the thing that Democrats rarely, if ever, admit, which is they don't want parents' input if it disagrees with their worldview.
And the parents shouldn't really have a say.
Once he said that, and I think you would acknowledge...
that's really when the race changed. - Keep up with what's trending.

We'll be right back.
Falling.
Raising resilient adolescents in the new age of anxiety.
you.
So, we were talking about my current pet peeve, the war against Instagram photos.
Causing massive anxiety, including alleged suicidal thoughts in girls, because they don't match up to the photos.
And as you were pointing out, what generation, since the invention of photography, what generation of girls has not had to put up with this?
In your case, what was it, Vogue?
And what else?
What other fashion magazines?
Well, Vogue and Mademoiselle, I mean, they've always had idealized, almost touched-up images.
And what about Playboy centerfolds, right?
Yeah.
Well, the other thing is, I mean, I have a piece coming out in the Institute for Family Studies next week, I think, exactly on this issue, Dennis.
And what I talk about also is that boys are suffering, too, because...
They have idealized images of girls from social media like they did from Playboy.
And that's a problem because then they look at real girls and they go, you know, I don't want that.
But the issue is that we've always had this, and that's what you were saying, is that where does the emotional security come from that creates the resilience that allows healthier adolescents to be able to cope with these images?
So, I mean, I think you have to think of it twofold.
One is the intensity and degree of the amount of exposure to it is different than when we had magazines.
So what we really have to talk about as parents is how do we create resilient kids so when they are exposed to social media, it doesn't impact them so dramatically.
But also we have to talk about moderation.
From the moment we give a child a phone, we have to talk about moderation with social media and limits.
And you can't, it's harder to set those limits down the line.
You have to do it from the beginning when they start to go on social media.
And I always say to parents, social media is not going anywhere.
Facebook is not going anywhere.
Instagram is not going anywhere.
It's still going to be there.
So it's on us as parents to...
And the reason that's so critical in adolescents is that the adolescent brain is very hypersensitive to stimulation.
So what the research shows is when adolescents are exposed to too much stimulation, any kind of stimulation, drugs, alcohol, video games, Instagram, their brains have an over-the-top dopamine reaction, which is part of what's also happening.
They are on Instagram and Facebook too much and too often.
That's fascinating.
Amen.
I mean, Makes sense to me.
The girl that the story opened up in the Wall Street Journal acknowledged she spent three hours a day looking at the Instagram.
And if that's what she acknowledged, she probably spent more.
That's right.
And we never spent three hours.
Looking at a fashion magazine, we would have gotten bored after 15, 10 minutes, 5 minutes.
And even a Playboy magazine, I mean, you know, how long could you look at that Playboy magazine?
That's really the difference, is what we call the intensity and degree of the exposure that's causing a kind of hyper-dopamine reaction.
And that's a problem, because once that reaction gets turned on, it gets very hard to turn that reaction off.
And that's what causes things like addiction.
So I suppose you could say that many adolescents are addicted to social media like you'd be addicted to drugs or alcohol or video games or gambling or pornography.
So your book is Raising Resilient Adolescents in this New Age of Anxiety.
Can you give an example of how to make sure that they are resilient?
Well, you know, what we have now is the perfect storm because going into adolescence, a lot of these kids have not had enough.
And what I mean by enough is they haven't had enough of our time.
They haven't had enough of our attention.
They haven't had enough emotional regulation from us, which is when we're present enough physically and emotionally for our kids, they bring their feelings and their experiences.
And their relationship experiences to us to help them to regulate those feelings.
And when we're not around enough, then they're not getting that help regulating their emotions.
So they go into adolescence without the capacity to regulate their emotions.
We're not born with the ability to regulate our emotions.
That is something we learn through the moment-to-moment contact with our parents.
So if we give them enough in the beginning, Then and throughout adolescence, we're present enough and we're there to help them to regulate.
Then they learn to do it themselves.
And so what we're doing is we're sending them into adolescence, giving them less in the beginning and less secure attachment, less of our emotional and physical presence.
And then we're expecting more of them in adolescence than ever before.
So in my day, and I'm guessing in your day, we didn't have quite as much to cope with as a lot of the kids today, right?
There's much more.
Everything's over the top.
And so if we're going to demand more academic pressure of them and achievement of them, if we're going to provide, you know, send them out into a world with more competition, more choices, more sensory overload, global warming threats, on and on, then we have to give them more in the beginning.
And I think it is a perfect...
Well, that's why your book is so important.

They want to get involved in your PayPal transactions.
You're sending money to your kids.
The IRS wants to know all about that.
They think they can drag more money out of us.
Like the IRS. And the Democrats' scheme is we've got to figure a way to pay for all this crap.
All this spending the Democrats want.
Okay, here's where we can do it.
Let's go audit a bunch of people and let's go check out grandma sending $601 to their grandkid via PayPal.
And when a reporter pointed out to Pelosi that Americans are livid about this and is it going to stay in your reconciliation bill?
Pelosi had a very predictable answer.
Yes, there are concerns that some people have.
But if people are breaking the law and not paying their taxes, one way to track them is through the banking measure.
I think 600, but that's a negotiation that will go on as to what the amount is.

A lot of important calls coming in here.
This is very fascinating.
Jamie in Snohomish, Washington.
Hello.
Dennis, it's awesome to talk to you.
Thank you.
I'm sure I see for a lot of people, especially living in blue states, that it's very frustrating, everything going on with COVID, knowing that there's therapeutics, like the monoclonal antibodies, the ivermectin, the hydroxychloroquine, and trying to get our hands on those.
I hear over and over again, especially with the monoclonal antibodies right now in Washington State, that we have a surplus.
But you can't, the hoops you have to jump through to get help and to get that when you have COVID, it's too late by the time you can make any kind of progress.
And what are the hoops?
What do they claim?
So you have to find a doctor that knows what you're talking about first off and will prescribe it.
And then you have to go to the hospital.
Show them the prescription, but they have a list of things you have to qualify for to be able to get it.
You have to be over a certain age, you have to have so many comorbidities, etc., etc.
And what I find shocking is how many doctors don't even know what you're talking about.
That's correct.
I'm regularly mocked for saying that I know more about COVID than many doctors, and it is no compliment to me.
It is a complete insult to doctors.
They read nothing about the issue.
Nothing.
A doctor who does not know about monoclonal...
Say it again?
I was going to say, it's true, and half the time I feel like people look at me like I'm crazy when I'm talking about...
Right, that's correct.
I mean, my elderly parents won't even think about ivermectin because their doctor from the University of Washington, who now won't do transplants if you're not vaccinated, they won't even try to get ivermectin to keep in their cabinet.
Well, alright, just for the record, I have lived by what I have preached, and I am well as a result.
By the way, if you think the mandates are vile, there's a group that is fighting them, the Alliance Defending Freedom.
Please contribute to them.
There's no more important cause right now in this country.
The ADF banner is at DennisPrager.com.
What'd you think of that, Sean?
All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. .
The fear is backtracking.
So it's happening.
People have to stand up.
These people understand that they have to get reelected.
And sometimes we just have to remind them who's in charge.
And we, the people, are in charge.
That is our system.
It is a democratic republic.
We all get to participate, but we elect people that we trust.
We put them in office, and we trust them to keep us safe.
We trust them to abide by the Constitution and to keep us free.
And when they do not do that, we have to kick their butts out of office.
But the important thing is, as voters, you have to always be mindful of freedom.
You have to always be mindful of freedom.
Quite frankly, I do believe that it's one of the advantages that I have as a black conservative.
You can call me Uncle Tom Sellout, whatever, whatever.
There's no affirmative action plan in heaven.
All I have to do is worry about Jesus.
I don't have time to worry about you.
But I do believe as black conservatives, I... I compare us to runaway slaves because I often say our thoughts are consumed with freedom.
That's what happens oftentimes with black conservatives, is we find out and we get this piece of information, we get this piece of history, and we're like, what?
The federal government or the Democrat Party did what to enslave us?
What did they do?
And then you just start looking for that.
I also believe it's an advantage that people of faith have.
Whether you're Christian, whether you're Jewish.

Secretary Chao, I'm glad you're available today because there are two headlines.
One from the Wall Street Journal.
Biggest US retailers charter private cargo ships to sail around port delays.
Then in the New York Times, it's not sustainable.
What America's port crisis looks like up close.
There aren't enough workers.
There aren't enough ships.
You've been the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Transportation.
What do we do?
It's a very dire situation.
You know, when COVID initially hit our shores early in 2020, I was the Secretary of Transportation, and we quickly focused on keeping the transportation supply chain open so that essential medical supplies...
Groceries and other essentials were available.
And that effort actually required some pretty strong measures.
Number one, we decided to ease some restrictions on truckers so that they can keep goods moving.
We made sure that the national airspace kept airplanes flying because even though at one point planes were nearly empty of passengers, commercial airliners also routinely transport a lot of goods, especially medical supplies.
You know, remember those early days of the initial lockdowns?
We had hoarding of toilet papers, any wipes, shortage of masks.
Stores were putting limits on how much customers can buy of one item.
And more than 70% of domestic freight moved via trucks.
But today's supply chain problems extend all the way, where worker shortages and COVID lockdowns have slowed the loading of cargo ships from where they started to U.S. ports.
where, as you just mentioned, the other day there were over 60 freighters with tens of thousands of storage containers offshore waiting for an opportunity to unload.

It's not just about saying I have a right in this country to not have the government not allow me to go to church, but also that the government cannot compel me to participate in any sort of event, including a vaccine, by the way, but also that the government cannot compel me to participate that goes against my sincerely held religious beliefs.
And so it should just be a matter of course that if you have a conscious objection, then you can say, I, as a Christian, as...
A Muslim, as a Jew, as any sort of religion, I mean, this covers all religions, by the way, all faiths, all sincerely held beliefs, you should be able to say, I decline to be coerced into participation.
But what we're seeing is that a lot of employers are not only requiring a lot of information for people to say, you know, well, you have to justify your religious exemption.
We're also seeing that they want this so-called what they're calling an interactive process that's basically an interrogation.
I have clients.
right now that they have filed for a religious exemption On the basis of, we're pro-life, that's what the Bible teaches, and I cannot take this vaccine.
And the Human Resources Department from the legal counsel of these employers want to sit down and basically interrogate them and say, is this really a sincerely held religious belief?
And they're using this as a pretext to try to deny religious exemptions.
It's absurd, and I hope that when there are more lawsuits filed, like just today, In Texas, United Airlines was forbidden from enforcing their vaccine mandate against employees who are claiming a religious exemption.
So we're already seeing that the courts are protecting this, but hopefully it'll be more than just Texas.

Hello, my friends.
I'm Dennis Prager.
I welcome you to the program, The Dennis Prager Show, to be precise.
Adjusting some things because I am broadcasting from home.
So, hold on a minute here.
Hello, hello, hello.
Sean, there's a reason I'm not hearing myself loud, and I don't know what it is.
Are you hearing me well?
You are.
Yes, but the headphone volume isn't changing no matter how much.
Oh, wait a minute.
There we go.
No, no, no.
Hello, hello.
Ah, there we go.
Okay, everybody.
All good.
I'm broadcasting from my home because I'm not going into the station as I have COVID. I came, I was tested positive last week.
And I have been steadily improving.
At no point was I in danger of hospitalization.
I have received monoclonal antibodies.
that's Regeneron I have of course for years a year and a half not years been taking hydroxychloroquine from the beginning with zinc I think.
I've taken Z-Pak, the erythromycin, as the Zelenko protocol would have it.
I have taken ivermectin.
I have done what a person should do if one is not going to get vaccinated.
It is infinitely preferable to have natural immunity than vaccine immunity.
And that is what I hoped for the entire time.
Hence, I so engaged with strangers, constantly hugging them, taking photos with them, knowing that I was making myself very susceptible to getting COVID. Which is indeed, as bizarre as it sounded, what I wanted in the hope that I would achieve natural immunity and be taken care of by therapeutics.
That is exactly what has happened.
It should have happened to the great majority of Americans.
The number of deaths in this country owing to COVID is a scandal, which one day will be clear to Americans.
The opposition to therapeutics on the part of the CDC is owing to the corruption of the belief in the value of vaccine and only vaccine.
Whether it is because of all the money that goes into the CDC from the pharmaceutical companies or a simple unquestioning faith in vaccines or both, only God knows.
So, I have walked the walk on this matter, and here I am.
And let me take your calls, okay?
Now, let's see.
Ginger in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, wants to know, is my trip to Israel still going on?
No, it is not.
It should have been, I guess, this week.
It should have been...
In October, I know.
But we gave notice of it being canceled.
Israel has been, like the rest of the world, in lockdown, making it impossible.
Only Sweden has defied it.
Who would ever think Sweden would be my model for anything?
But it turned out to be in this case.
So, Ginger, come with us in two years, unless there is a gamma and lambda and phi beta kappa variant at that point.
Okay.
Steve, Sterling, Virginia.
Hello.
Hi, Doug.
Yes, sir.
Oh, man, I've been listening to you for a couple years now.
You're the most wonderful man alive, I swear.
You teach us the right things, and you show us what we need to know.
Pleasure U is absolutely fantastic, and the Internet will have that forever.
You guys are great.
That's correct.
Thank you, sir.
I appreciate it immensely.
It is doing a lot of good.
There's no question.
Not enough.
When you see what is going on on campuses, the corruption of our children in elementary school, the battle is intense.
But we're making progress with over a billion views a year.
There's no question about that.
Yes, let's see.
Let him know he is welcome to use my name and would be appreciated.
Our doctor, Jeffrey Barkey.
It's an honor to mention his name on the air.
The man is not only a great doctor, he's a fighter.
That's correct.
He doesn't know where I got my original incorrect description of...
Oh, you don't know where.
Oh, okay.
My ability to make up sources in my brain?
Definitions like neftigent?
Okay, let's see.
So stay here.
Wait, wait.
Stay here, Mrs. Prager.
I want you to hear Jody's question in Los Angeles.
Hello, Jody.
Hi there, Dennis.
I hope you get better soon.
Thank you.
Where would I go if I got COVID? I mean, I don't trust my doctors.
I really don't.
I don't trust that I could get the medication, these ivermectin and chloroquil, whatever that, if and when I need it, and I would need it very quickly.
And I mentioned to my doctor, this young kid who I just met recently, like my new doctor, and I told him, I'm not vaccinated.
I want you to know I don't plan on getting it, but if I do get sick, would you please give me ivermectin?
He was just like, well, you know, we'd have to see.
So I just feel like...
You know, you might be able to die in between.
You get the medication that you need.
And then the second question I just wanted is, when you realized that you were sick, how did you find out that you were sick?
Did you go to someplace and did they hassle you?
Did they immediately give you what you need?
How did you not get thrown into the hospital?
So if you can just give those little personal...
Yeah.
So first, to answer your question, I asked my wife to stay in the room.
Is America's Frontline Doctors still making it possible for people to get ivermectin?
Okay, so there you go.
America's Frontline Doctors.
Google them.
Okay.
And they're all trustworthy.
Oh yeah, I love these people.
Wait one second.
And?
FLCCC.net.
What does that stand for?
Frontline Critical COVID Care Alliance.
Okay, so that helps answer where to get it.
You should be taking it now.
You shouldn't be waiting until you get COVID to take ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and zinc, and vitamin D, and a whole host of quercetin, and a whole host of...
Of other things, excuse me.
These are things that I have been taking for a while, and I believe that they have clearly lessened the severity of COVID in my case, and in my wife's case for that matter, and in all of those that I know who got this.
Now, to answer the specifics, I was tested positive the first time I was tested, which was last Wednesday.
I don't know when I got it.
There's no way to know without a test.
But obviously, I would not have tested if I felt fine.
On the other hand, I wasn't feeling fine earlier than that, but you don't think you have COVID if you don't feel fine.
It could be a cold.
It could be anything.
We'll be back in a moment.
We'll be back in a moment.
Southwest was devastated this week.
Straight up lying, talking about it was the weather.
The reason why 2,000 flights were canceled over the weekend, Friday through Sunday, and then over 300 or nearly 400 more on Monday.
But the truth of the matter is, a lot of these people just caught out sick.
They just caught out sick.
They've been threatened by their employer because their employer...
Happens to be a federal contractor.
And because of that, because the federal government has their hands in Southwest Airlines, they have to comply.
Now, here's the news.
Nothing has happened as of yet.
So technically, Southwest Airlines does not have to comply right now.
And they can wait for OSHA to make whatever edict they're going to lay out that has not been done thus far.
But nonetheless, they suspect that it is coming down the pike.
You get all these pilots, 10,000 pilots, 60 to 70% of these pilots are men and women that fought for our freedom, and we're going to kick them off the freaking job.
Can you imagine the disruption?
You talk about, we look at the ports in California.
Can you imagine the supply chain disruption?
If now we can't even unload cargo ships, and we're going to have fewer and fewer pilots?
Fewer trained pilots?
I don't want to fly.
I don't know if they're going to be like United Airlines and bring social justice warrior pilots on.
I don't even want to fly.
Listen, if you're a pilot, I don't care if you're pink, red, white.
I want the best doggone pilot when I'm sitting up in that can 30,000 feet above the ground.

Americans still have enough fighting spirit.
We're not Canada, we're not Sweden, we're not Germany.
I would say that even under lawful elections where it was close but you lost, the incoming administration would say, you know, we don't really have a mandate.
Normally people would say, I've got to deal with this closely divided group.
I can't do...
Great, big, dramatic things.
This group has come in and said, we are going to go as hard to the left, as hard to progressivism, as hard to socialism, as hard to communism as we can, as fast as we can.
We are going to go as hard to the godless view of everything as fast as we can.
We are going to empower our enemies and insult our friends.
We are going to undo everything the previous administration did, not because it's necessarily good for the country, but simply for the fact that the previous administration did it.
And where that really came back to bite us in the backside, and I think that where you really start to see the Let's Go Brandon phenomenon is following Afghanistan.
Because when the previous administration had left an exit plan saying, if you follow these guidelines, make it conditions-based, we can get everybody out safely.
We can get all of our allies out before we take the military out.
We can get rid of our equipment.
We can do all this stuff.
And because Joe Biden said, I'm not doing any of it.
And the only reason he said it was because the previous guy did it, and we got 13 Marines killed, and we lost a lot of Americans in the process that are still behind enemy lines even to this day.
That's when America woke up and said, wait a minute, this isn't right.
right.
And you're starting to see, I think, a groundswell that is going to roll all the way through the 2022 election cycle.

Hi, everybody. everybody.
I'm Dennis Prager.
I want to remind you, with regard to Pure Talk, an amazing service, same quality as T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, except you save about $800 a year per family.
That's the amazing thing.
I couldn't believe it was that good for that cheap.
$30 a month.
Unlimited text, unlimited talk, 6 gigabytes of data.
So my wife and I actually got a phone through them.
You don't have to get a phone.
You can use your own phone, your own number.
We got a second phone because of the great price.
And it's the same quality.
Again, unlimited text, unlimited talk, 6 gigabytes of data, $30 a month.
And if you want unlimited data, you can get that too and save a fortune.
You do that by dialing pound 250 on your current phone and saying Dennis Prager.
Pound 250. Dennis Prager.
Pure talk.
Simply smarter wireless.
And by the way, you can...
You can save 50% off the first month as well by saying Dennis Prager.
All right, everybody.
I want you to think about this for a moment.
Let's say I died of COVID. That would make national headlines.
Another unvaccinated talk show host dies of COVID, correct?
There will be zero reporting, however.
Unvaccinated talk show host gets COVID and is fine.
Zero.
So just know the lying media lie by omission as much as they lie by commission.
It's no news if I don't die and if I do well.
Although it should be news.
It's an advertisement for the therapeutics that I have been advocating for the last year and a half.
Dr. Castillo in Lombard, Illinois.
Hello.
Hello, doctor.
How are you, sir?
I'm well.
Hello?
I'm well.
Go ahead.
I wanted to first congratulate you on getting the golden ticket.
My patients that come in that have had COVID and ask me if they need the vaccine, I explain to them that now they've already have the golden ticket and natural immunity, obviously, better than a vaccine is.
So congratulations on that, sir.
I wanted to point out the irony that when hydroxychloroquine first came out and President Trump We touted it as a potential therapy, and it got attacked, and you could not get hydroxychloroquine at the local pharmacy, and I was worried about the state board reprimanding me for writing hydroxychloroquine,
and now that Trump is out of office, anybody can go to the pharmacy for $12 again and get hydroxychloroquine, but ivermectin is now, at least in Illinois, virtually impossible to get.
that the pharmacies do not carry it, will not order it.
And I have had the pharmacist ask me for the patient's diagnosis at one point before they would actually dispense the medication.
Is this unprecedented in your career?
Oh, it is.
I have been a physician for 25 years.
I am beyond offended that somebody else is getting in trouble The way of my care of my patients and how I do things.
If I gave you Augmentin for bronchitis and the FDA indication is sinus infection, no one questions that because it obviously makes sense, but that's not an FDA indication use of the medication.
I had a pharmacist and my nephew, in fact, for ivermectin, he said he couldn't fill the prescription for COVID. And I said, so you're telling me if it's COVID infection, you won't?
Fill the prescription, but if it's for a parasite infection, you will.
And the pharmacist, I could hear him smiling on the phone.
He said, oh, doctor, it's for a parasite infection?
Yes, we can fill his prescription.
So they must have, at least at that point, had a checkbox that Walgreens required a check for what you were prescribing the medication.
And now, like I said, I cannot find the medication locally.
It's a scandal.
It is a complete scandal.
It has nothing to do with medicine.
Well, I hope making things clear with regards to what is happening in the country.
The perversion of medicine because of the politicization of the left.
This is a classic example.
The pushing of the vaccine as if it is the only...
To the extent that people will lie to you and tell you you are more immune as a result of the vaccine than you are from natural immunity, which is just a lie.
The fact that I'm on my way to natural immunity is a high for me.
I'm thrilled about it.
Celeste in Inun, South Carolina.
Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
Big fan.
Our twin boys listen to you all the time.
Basically, we just saved my brother-in-law's life, who's a diabetic.
He got COVID on last Thursday.
On Friday, he tested positive and started feeling very ill, and his oxygen was dropping.
So my sister-in-law took him to the hospital.
They told him he had COVID pneumonia and basically told him, well, come back when you get really bad.
There's nothing we can do for you.
She called me on Friday afternoon and was hysterical.
We have then stopped piling ivermectin through alldaychemist.com.
You can buy as much as you want.
The pills are manufactured out of India, and it takes about 20 to 30 days for you to get your pills, but it's legitimate.
And you can buy azithromycin, hydroxy, whatever you want.
I have gotten hydroxy from America's Frontline, but they are not offering.
It looks like any more ivermectin.
It's really hard that they're not supplying it.
But anyway, needless to say, my brother-in-law has rebounded and is on the mend.
And we saved his life with ivermectin.
With ivermectin from India?
Yes.
When you go on to the shopping cart in alldaychemist.com, it will actually tell you where the pills are being manufactured.
And it's about $1.67 for each pill.
And I just have 130 more coming on the way that will be here probably in the next 30 days.
India is a great source of it, and the state of Uttar Pradesh saved virtually all its citizens thanks to Ivermectin.

This is Larry Sabato from the Virginia Center of Politics, and he said, for all the talk about the 2022 midterms, really what we need to be focused on is a 2021 midterm.
Well, critical race theory has become the proxy for the school district fight in Virginia and who should control what children are taught.
And you have some of the largest and most liberal school districts in the country in Virginia.
You also have some of the more conservative school districts in Virginia.
And what I thought was key, and obviously you've played this out by a lot, is the Youngkin-McAuliffe debate, which goes to show you why real debates and real news, especially in politics, are important and actually sometimes elicit the most interesting things, where Terry McAuliffe essentially said that parents should not have a say in what their children are taught.

Why don't we talk about Southwest Airlines, which has been in the news very recently.
Basically Southwest had to cancel over a thousand flights and they claimed initially that it was for the weather and a lot of them were actually out of Florida and ironically I was actually out speaking at a conference in Miami and it was beautiful weather when I flew out on Sunday.
So this was of course not weather related.
They're trying to claim that it wasn't for...
Pushing back against the vaccine mandates.
But what a lot of people are speculating and what I think there is some merit to is that there is a group now of pilots who are saying we are refusing to be coerced by our employer to take the vaccine.
And in fact, the union of Southwest pilots has filed a lawsuit in the federal district of Texas.
What's interesting, Eric, is that traditionally conservatives have been kind of anti-union for a lot of really good reasons.
Oh, yeah.
And to say that, you know, we are coerced.
Having to give union dues and then they, of course, funnel those dues to Democrat candidates or things like that.
But this shows the power of collective bargaining.
This group of pilots is now pushing back and saying we will not be coerced by our employer into unilaterally modifying our employment conditions to take a vaccine that could, by the way, have a lot of negative influence.
There was a friend of mine who was even saying the other day that a friend of his...
Who is a pilot for a different carrier has some anecdotal evidence to say that there have been some pilots who have had blood clots or, you know, the myocarditis, other things at altitude.
And so there are a lot of pilots that are very concerned about that.

Another unvaccinated talk show host dies of COVID. That I am on the mend.
Will not be reported.
Unvaccinated talk show host conquers COVID with therapeutics.
See?
So just know that the lying media are a major reason for why people believe what they believe.
They've been brainwashed.
So there will be zero reporting of my case.
Zero.
It goes against what the left wants you to believe, so why report it?
It's as simple as that.
As simple as that.
Matt in Pocono, Pennsylvania.
Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
Thanks for taking my call.
I'm glad you're doing okay.
Thank you.
I really appreciate you.
Since I moved up here, you're one of the few stations that comes in.
It's been a blessing.
If I hadn't found you, it'd be quite as smart as I am.
Or at least not as much.
Anyway, the reason for my call is I've now been dropped by three of my doctors.
I have an autoimmune disease.
A long history of medical problems from a young age.
But I've now been dropped by three of my doctors for refusing to get the vaccine, which is just unbelievable to me.
What does that mean that you've been dropped?
They actually won't keep you as a patient?
Yes.
They discharged me from the practice.
You know, they asked me when I came in.
They asked me again.
When I registered, the nurse asked me when she brought me in the room.
Same thing every time.
But, yeah, they literally discharged me because of it.
And to me, they did me a favor.
I don't want a doctor who liked that, first of all.
No, clearly.
You're absolutely right.
I've never heard of this before.
Yeah, and one of them actually, I brought up my primary care doctor.
I said, you know, I don't want to get the vaccine.
He seemed to be okay with it.
That's the one doctor that was okay.
But I brought up, you know, ivermectin, and he laughed in my face and said, it's a horsey warmer.
And I just, I had to bite my tongue and just, you know.
Wow.
It was very tough for me to do, but when I got home, I sent them about 20 articles and some peer-reviewed studies to his office.
We'll see what happens when I see him again.
But he did receive them.
I'll be very curious if he does react.
I would send the testimony of the epidemiologists on ivermectin in the U.S. Senate, and I would send the report of the state of 230 million people in Uttar Pradesh, a state of India.
India has states like we do.
Difference between the death rate in ivermectin using Uttar Pradesh and non-ivermectin using other states in India.
Your doctor is part of the reason for the death toll in the country and part of the massive divide in this country.
The medical profession has been...
It's very sad to say the least.
During the AIDS crisis, would a doctor refuse to see a patient who attended bathhouses and had unprotected sex?
The primary vehicle for AIDS in the United States It was unprotected male-male sex and IV drug users and their partners.

Story out of Washington State, a veteran Washington State trooper who was forced out of the job by the state's vaccine mandate has released a video of his final sign-off.
And ended it by saying, Governor Jay Inslee can kiss my, and you know the next word.
The trooper, who did not say his name, told how he had served in the department for more than 22 years in Yakima County.
But Saturday night was his last shift.
Governor Inslee's mandate ordering most state employees to be vaccinated.
Coming into force on October 18th.
That's today.
This is my final sign-off after 22 years serving the citizens of the state of Washington.
Numerous fatalities, injuries.
I've worked sick.
I've played sick.
Buried lots of friends over these years.
And then, so state 1034. This is the last time you'll hear me in a state patrol car and Jay Inslee can kiss my rear.
That's right.
Isn't that amazing?
The whole thing's evil.
Companies applying the mandates to their employees include Amtrak, BlackRock, Cisco, Citigroup, CVS, Deloitte, Delta, DoorDash, Equinox.
I'm a member of Equinox.
I've been kicked out.
And the fact that I'm now more, I have more robust antibodies than anybody with a vaccination will be irrelevant.

I hope people realize this is only the beginning.

Linda, Redondo Beach, California.
Hello.
Hello.
I have a two-part question.
Yes, I have a two-part question.
Can you hear me?
I do.
I hear you.
My two-part question is, why is it an advantage to use medicine advancements to treat COVID, but not to prevent COVID? And secondly, the message you deliver to the world is so important, the vaccine should not be taken lightly.
People have a responsibility to getting vaccinated more seriously, especially in your case.
Okay, so I didn't understand either one.
Let's do the first one.
Why are people using medicine to cure but not to prevent?
Exactly.
Well, that's what I've been doing.
I've been using medicine to prevent.
I've been doing it for a year and a half.
To prevent would be to take the vaccine.
No, that is your belief that it's the only form of prevention.
I believe that ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, zinc, vitamin D, quercetin are other forms of prevention.
And I think I've been proven right.
I got COVID, but such a mild case, relatively speaking, especially for my age, that it shows you how effective it has been.
What did I do wrong?
You know, vaccinations have been around for quite a while, and it's important that we use them in that capacity to prevent...
If Trump went through warp speed and did all that trouble to get drug companies to do a vaccination...
We're fighting the wrong fight.
People are fighting against something that's not important here.
This vaccine, and I'm a conservative, the vaccination is not the fight we want to fight.
It takes two seconds to get a vaccination, and your pace would be mild, which I'm happy that you took all these other protocols.
It really wasn't necessary.
Vaccines are a good thing, and I don't understand why everyone is making an issue of this.
Okay, there are a lot of answers to that, but that's a completely respectable position.
What is not respectable is if you don't get a vaccine, you lose your livelihood.
You say you're conservative and you're okay with that?
That's a different point that you're bringing up.
That's the only point.
No, no, no, that's the point.
No, no, no, that's not fair.
That is the point.
I wouldn't even talk about it if it weren't forced on people.
I've never talked against it.
I've talked against forcing people to take it.
No, I'm not for forcing people.
I would like them to do it of their own free will.
And in your case, you have such a talent and a responsibility to every message that you deliver who have taken the vaccine more seriously.
That's my point.
I mean, what you have to offer to the world, it's so valuable.
And to not take the vaccine, I just don't understand that point of view.
Okay, look.
A vaccine was released without any of the extensive testing that every other vaccine has had.
I thought that that was understandable, but not necessarily responsible.
But I never told anyone not to take it.
The issue for me is the forcing.

Apropos of the last call and one here from Texas.
How come you won't take the vaccine since you're one of the most intelligent people he has known?
I don't know what intelligence has to do with it.
Concern is that we have no long-term safety data on this vaccine.
I don't believe people shouldn't take it, and I don't think people should rush into taking it.
I've been very adamant children should not take it.
See, let me put it to you this way to answer that question.
A medical establishment of this country has completely lost my trust.
Not partially, completely.
If the CDC says take an umbrella, I assume it will be sunny out.
And there will not be rain.
They're corrupt.
The American Medical Association has announced that birth certificates should not list sex.
Because children are not born, male or female, according to the American Medical Association.
Medical schools do not refer to women giving birth any longer, but to birthing persons.
And the adamant opposition to ivermectin, the irrational, irresponsible opposition to it, and hydroxychloroquine, The lie that people have less immunity naturally than they do with the vaccine.
These things are all lies.
So why should I believe the one thing and know that all the other things being told to me by the CDC, the AMA, and FDA are lies?
See, that's the problem.
It's like in life.
When you've lost trust in someone, you don't trust anything they say.
And I don't trust anything they say.
There's no difference between the AMA and the New York Times.

Straight up lying, talking about it was the weather.
The reason why 2,000 flights were canceled over the weekend, Friday through Sunday, and then over 300 or nearly 400 more on Monday.
But the truth of the matter is, a lot of these people just caught out sick.
They just caught out sick.

And because of that, because the federal government has their hands in Southwest Airlines, they have to comply.
Now, here's the news.

So technically, Southwest Airlines does not have to comply right now.

Dennis Prager, in case you're just tuning in, I was diagnosed last week with COVID, recuperating fine, it's a matter of getting strength back, and I have...
I believe I'm on my way to achieving what I have wanted the entire time, and that is natural immunity, the best type you can have.
Talk about more of that later.
I want to get to my guest, Michael Schellenberger.
He was a Time Magazine hero of the environment.
He won a Green Book Award, founder and president of Environmental Progress.
His new book is San Francisco, Why Progressives Ruin Cities.
He also presents two popular PragerU videos, Do We Have to Destroy the Earth to Save It, and Nuclear Energy, Abundant, Clean, and Safe.
I spoke to Michael Schellenberger at a PragerU event at length.
Man is a very serious man, about very serious subjects.
How is the book doing, Michael?
Well, thanks for having me on, Dennis.
It's doing great.
It's been selling well for the last couple of weeks.
My podcast with Joe Rogan just went up.
And San Francisco and Apocalypse Never sort of form a pair, a kind of foundation for a new way of thinking about what's going on and what the threats are to our civilization and how to address them.
Good.
I'm glad.
It's very important.
By the way, I didn't ask you the night we were together.
Has it become difficult for you to say San Francisco?
Yes, it has.
I ended up saying San Francisco rather than San Francisco.
I had a feeling that was happening to you.
You can't say something thousands of times and then say the normal way on call.
I was curious.
So you probably have to concentrate on saying San Francisco Giants, not San Francisco Giants.
I do indeed.
How do you feel towards San Francisco?
Deeply ambivalent.
I mean, it's a city that I moved to after college.
I fell in love with it.
I met my wife there.
Absolutely, like most people, I'm just captivated by its beauty.
I just went and saw an incredible musical show on Saturday night with my wife at one of the most spectacular theaters in San Francisco.
And we were driving over and I said to her, you know, it's still a beautiful city.
And she said, yeah, from the outside.
You know, and I think that sort of speaks to it.
I mean, I'm sick with...
Grief over how it's being destroyed.
I feel like we're losing our humanity with our mistreatment of both mentally ill people, people suffering drug addiction, and then the citizens of the city, the residents of the city who can't walk safely on the streets for whom they're being, you know, they're suffering violence, crime, degradation.
And so I feel like in some ways I'm living in apartheid South Africa.
I just don't feel moral living here right now.
I don't feel moral paying my taxes in California knowing that they're directly causing the depravity and the suffering that we see every day on the streets.
Do you have figures or institutions that you primarily blame?
I think there's different layers to this.
On the one hand, the simplest way to put it is that there's a victim ideology under which the idea is some people can go in this category of victims.
It's a racist ideology, so African Americans are all viewed as victims, but also people with mental illness, people suffering drug addiction.
And then to victims, everything should be given and nothing required.
That's the official ideology.
But there's many institutions that are participating in that.
Obviously, the city of San Francisco, by giving cash and housing to people without asking for anything in return, is creating this problem.
Same thing in Los Angeles, of course, as you know.
But I think that what we're seeing is the radical left...
Really attacking the fundamental pillars of our civilization, and it started after World War II with the attacks on psychiatric hospitals, many of which were indeed terrible places, and they needed reforms, but they were just shut down without any thought to where people would go afterwards.
We've obviously been seeing a big attack on our universities as places of free inquiry, and now we're seeing attacks on the police, which we need police.
Obviously, to prevent crime, but also if you care about things like mass incarceration, which is something I care about.
I've always cared about this.
We don't want people to be in prison if they don't need to be.
But that's what you need police for, the police help to prevent that.
So my view is that really the radical left has been attacking these fundamental pillars of Western civilization.
And you see in my last book, Apocalypse Never, I described how...
That includes attacking our electrical grid and trying to undermine really the foundation of cheap energy, which is necessary for our civilization to exist.
So in the course of your career, have you met the people that you're now describing?
I don't mean the homeless.
I mean the radical leftists.
Well, of course.
I mean, I moved out to San Francisco to work.
In progressive, radical causes in 1993, I worked for a number of organizations supported by George Soros, who has really been pouring tens of millions of dollars into these policies.
You know, so I had incredible access.
I interviewed all the main leaders that have been advocating for the policies that I criticize in San Francisco.
Some of them I'm still in friendly relationships with.
Other relationships are strained.
So, yeah, of course, I have long-standing relationships with all of those folks.
And, you know, some people are good people that are confused.
I think other people don't view people as people.
I think they view people as objects.
You know, so for the most part, I think the vast majority of people are well-intentioned, but there's certainly a small group of people that are dehumanizing, particularly in this categorization of people as victims.
So you see the same results that they do.
How do they process it?
This is a puzzle to me.
Do they think?
When they look at San Francisco, they think, gee, we're doing good work?
Only a small number of people believe that at this point.
The vast majority of people, including progressives, know that there's a big problem, but they are trapped in their ideology and unwilling to do anything about it.
And so, again, it's this idea that once you categorize somebody as a victim, nothing should be required of them.
The laws should not apply to them because they're victims.
And that may sound ridiculous and stupid, and it really is, but I'm accurately representing it.
And in the book, I think what makes San Francisco an exciting book to read is that I argue with...
With people, it's in the text that makes for some interesting debates.
I argue with the ACLU. The senior person at ACLU defends the idea that we should enforce the law differently depending on who's breaking it.
So, you know, there's just such an allergy to law enforcement and to policing, and it's based on a really dumb idea.
You know, I point out, you know, if you want to prevent people from going to prison, you should run more police because the police will prevent crimes from happening.
That distinction is not well understood in San Francisco or among progressives right now.
The silence is me shaking my head that the obvious needs to be spelled out, and even when spelled out, it doesn't have an effect.
So you said the ideology stops them.
What is the ideology in a nutshell, that there are victims and they must be at any price portrayed as victims?
Is that the ideology you're referring to?
That's right, and that it's actually part of the victimization process To suggest that people are in any way responsible for their own behaviors.
And so there's a, again, it's very dehumanizing.
And the reason I say that is that, you know, for most progressives in their private lives, they believe in self-help.
Right, hold on there.
Hold on there.
I want to continue with you.
Michael Schellenberger's book, San Francisco, up at DennisPrager.com.
Thank you.
Great big dramatic things.
This group has come in and said, we are going to go as hard We're going to go to the left as hard to progressivism, as hard to socialism, as hard to communism as we can, as fast as we can.
We're going to go as hard to the godless view of everything as fast as we can.
We're going to empower our enemies and insult our friends.
We're going to undo everything the previous administration did, not because it's necessarily good for the country, but simply for the fact that the previous administration did it.
And where that really came back to bite us in the backside, and I think that where you really start to see the Let's go Brandon phenomenon, is following Afghanistan.
Because when the previous administration had left an exit plan saying, if you follow these guidelines, make it conditions-based, we can get everybody out safely.
We can get all of our allies out before we take the military out.
We can get rid of our equipment.
We can do all this stuff.
And because Joe Biden said, I'm not doing any of it, and the only reason he said it was because the previous guy did it.
And we got 13 Marines killed and we lost a lot of Americans in the process that are still behind enemy lines even to this day.
That's when America woke up and said, wait a minute, this isn't right.
right.
And you're starting to see, I think, a groundswell that is going to roll all the way through the 2022 election cycle.

The Democrats want the IRS to snoop around and check out what you're doing if you have a bank account with more than $600 in it.
Let's go audit a bunch of people.
Let's go check out grandma sending $601 to their grandkid via PayPal.
And when a reporter pointed out to Pelosi that Americans are livid about this, and is it going to stay in your reconciliation bill?
Pelosi had a very predictable answer.
Yes, there are concerns that some people have.
But if people are breaking the law and not paying their taxes, one way to track them is through the banking measure.
I think $600.
But that's a negotiation that will go on as to what the amount is.
But yes.
Yes.
You think a multimillionaire like Nancy Pelosi cares about a hardworking person being tracked?
By the IRS, if you have a transaction over $600, yeah, some people are calling the bank.
You better call your bank.
You got a relationship with a local banker?
You better call him or her.
And you better demand there be a pushback.

Michael Schellenberger is my guest.
This new book, which is doing very well, as it should, San Francisco, Why Progressives Ruin Cities.
So, you were talking about the ideology that gets in the way of seeing clarity.
And you were saying that these people In their own lives would not allow for the victim mentality that they advocate upon others to take root in their, let's say, their own families.
So continue with that theme because I'll tell you a line I use with relatives of mine who vote for the Democrats.
I wish you would preach what you practice.
Conservative lives and they preach radical lives.
It's a strange combination.
Yep.
Yeah, you got it exactly right.
I mean, this is one of the paradoxes is that, you know, I'm obsessed with this brilliant psychologist, Viktor Frankl, you may know, who survived the concentration camps.
He's one of the founders of cognitive therapy, which is the idea that you have to change your mentality to, you know, fix your life and improve your spirit.
You know, he survived the concentration camps by getting his mentality right.
He wrote a best-selling book, it's called 10 Million Copies, called Man's Search for Mean, about how he survived the concentration camps, why you have to have faith.
It's an incredible book.
Liberals and progressives in the 60s loved this book.
It's still assigned in high schools.
It's a classic at this point.
But when you take his philosophy, which is fundamentally a self-help philosophy, and you apply it in politics, you're accused by progressives of blaming the victim.
By simply repeating what Viktor Frankl says in one's private life.
So why, that was one of the questions I had in writing San Francisco, was why do progressives support self-help in their private lives, but demonize it as blaming the victim in their politics?
Any answer?
Well, the answer is that this victim ideology has become a religion, and it's become a substitute religion.
So you may remember when you and I spoke last year about my book last year, Apocalypse Never, I talked about how I think there's different interests behind apocalyptic environmentalism.
There's money and there's power, but really at bottom, what seems to drive it is fanaticism, this idea that the world is ending.
And that only we as heroes can save it by harmonizing with nature.
But this is obviously a religion.
Obviously.
I mean, many books have been written about this.
It's been well studied by social scientists that environmentalism is a new religion.
Well, same thing here, Dennis.
It's a religion of compassion, but it's a religion that is...
It's a New Testament.
It's the New Testament on steroids.
It's the New Testament on...
Unconnected from the Old Testament, so it's just as dumb as it sounds.
I mean, it's really the Beatles.
Love is all you need.
Well, the Beatles were wrong.
Love is not all you need.
But I think the dogmatism that we see in it, this idea that victims themselves are sacred and holy, is a fanatical religious idea.
They're turning victims into new gods.
They're turning...
Compassion into a dogmatic ideology.
And so, you know, there's this famous work by a psychologist named Jonathan Haidt who talks about how there's basically six core values that animate most religions.
Well, for progressives, they've basically reorganized all those values around victims.
So traditional respect for authority, sanctity, fairness, freedom.
And compassion, they've all been oriented around victims, so those values only apply to people they declare to be victims and not to the rest of society.
You got it.
You really see it clearly.
Have any left-wing media interviewed you?
The most left-wing is Joe Rogan.
And I don't think he's particularly left-wing.
No, exactly.
So it is fascinating.
I want people to understand again that Michael Schellenberger, whose bona fides are originally from the progressive world, who is completely reason-based, who cares about the victims here, won't get an interview.
And by the way, in light of that, has the New York Times bestseller list included your book?
No.
Last year, Apocalypse Never was the bestseller on every bestseller list except for the New York Times, which kept me off of it.
Welcome to my world.
I don't know.
Every single list except the New York Times.
And they don't reveal their special recipe for determining what's a bestseller.
So, one suspects the special recipe is ideological.
Absolutely.
That PBS would not have you on, NPR, CNN, it's a scandal.
It doesn't matter to the great success that you're having.
But it bothers me because I want those people to hear what you have to say.
The book, my friends, is San Francisco, Why Progressives Ruin Cities.
And you could watch his videos, but of course the book is the key.
It has just been released.
Michael, it is always a joy to speak to you.

Dennis, wonderful to talk to you.

I say interesting.

Subjectively, you feel like crap, you feel feverish, and I want you to document this over the next week, because I listen to you religiously, and I'd really love to hear you come out of it.
I will come out of it.
Okay, so the worst was the feverish feeling, and it was one day I slept 24 hours.
I am a little hoarse, as you can hear, which is why I sound older, and that will presumably pass.
And what else can I tell you?
I'm obviously quarantined in my own home.
I have not had actual fever, in other words, measured by a thermometer at any time.
I did have tremendous chills for two days, but it was not accompanied by a fever.
It was feverish.
I assume that...
Look, everybody has different reactions.
All things considered, this was not a particularly severe case.
I did lose my sense of taste for a couple of days.

It was a very odd feeling.

My wife had a similar thing.

Recuperating from COVID and my doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Barkey, Irvine, California, California is called in.
And it's very important what you have to say, so go ahead.
Dennis, I wanted to share with your audience how frustrated I am in many doctors across the country.
You're doing well from COVID. Because you had access to early treatment, both preventative treatment that, in my opinion, reduced the severity of the symptoms when you got it, and you had access to Regeneron.
But let's be clear.
It was difficult even getting Dennis Prager Regeneron.
You tried to get it at a local place close to you.
They refused.
And what they wanted to do is admit you to the hospital and instead give you remdesivir.
Which is a very expensive, minimally effective drug that often leads to kidney and liver disease.
And this notion that we shouldn't make Regeneron widely available to any patient that has COVID is crazy.
And you had to go out of your way to come down to Orange County to get Regeneron, which is ridiculous that you had to do that.
And I have that happen all the time to my patients.
I've treated hundreds of them.
And it is so hard to pull the strings to get the medications needed for early treatment that it's a damn crime what's going on in this country.
Pharmacies refusing to dispense ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
The government now in control of the distribution of Regeneron.
If you didn't know better, you would think that they want patients to die.
It is insanity what's going on in our country right now.
Do you know what DeSantis has done with regard to Regeneron in Florida?
Yes, and that's what started the federal government wanting to get involved.
DeSantis has made Regeneron available widely throughout his state, everywhere.
Any doctor can get it.
Infusion clinics can prescribe it and dispense it.
And when the federal government saw this, and Florida being a red state, they decided that they wanted to control the distribution because they're angry at the governor of Florida for his...
COVID policies.
It's criminal what's going on.
We almost need a COVID-19 commission once this country is through this and to appropriately punish people that have been withholding care.
CBS, Rite Aid, Walgreens all refuse to dispense life-saving medications for early treatment and it causes a lot of us to have to scramble to work twice as hard.
To try to help patients like you get treatment when they need it.
It's unprecedented, I assume, in your practice.
Never have I seen this ever before.
You know, I kiddingly, but not so kiddingly, put out a tweet that says something like, it is easier for me to prescribe OxyContin than Ivermectin.
A drug, OxyContin, by the way, and other narcotics.
That kills patients across the country that overdose, etc.
Ivermectin, I don't think there's been a single dose from somebody overdosing on ivermectin.
The worst is you'd get diarrhea and upset stomach, etc.
It's an incredibly safe medicine and very effective if we can get the patients early.
I have a patient up at UC Berkeley.
No pharmacy up in that area will dispense it.
I have a patient at the University of Colorado Boulder.
We can't get her ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine because pharmacies refuse to prescribe it, to dispense it.
So instead we have to be creative, compounding pharmacies that will mail it.
Friends and family that go out and get it across borders and bring it in.
This is ridiculous.
We're literally killing people because of the lack of access to early treatment, let alone the benefit of supplements like vitamin D. There's a recent study that showed if you do nothing with a COVID patient but put them on an adult-strength aspirin, you can reduce mortality by 50%.
Do you hear Dr. Fauci saying that?
No, of course not.
We are approaching this problem completely wrong.
We're not going to vaccinate ourselves out of this pandemic, but we will get out of this pandemic by making early treatment widely available to everyone, and that's what many of us frontline doctors are demanding.
What is the issue with Regeneron?
It's so obviously effective.
It is so obviously effective.
I don't know.
I think the issue is people hate Ron DeSantis.
Because of his COVID policies, because of his freedom policies, because of him pushing back on mandates, and because he's using Regeneron so effectively that the government now wants to get involved and in an equitable way distribute the Regeneron throughout the country.
It was working perfectly well supply and demand before, but now the government's involved and Regeneron is in short supply.
It's a scandal.
It's just a scandal.
You're right.
There was a major hospital that didn't want to give me Regeneron and wanted to give me Remdesivir.
They wanted to admit you to the hospital.
And to admit me in the hospital, exactly.
And thank God Sue said absolutely not, and I said the same thing, and we got you the Regeneron elsewhere.
It's a far superior product than remdesivir for early treatment, yet that's the only tool that hospitals seem to have.
And they just are going about this all wrong.
Kaiser, one of the largest health care institutions, refused to allow their physicians to prescribe ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine, and Kaiser pharmacies refused to dispense those products.
It's a crime.
We have study after study after study that's showing effectiveness, Yet, what is the government doing?
They're pushing the vaccine, they're pushing Remdesivir, and they make no mention of the things that actually make a difference, and that's early treatment, supplements, etc.
It's a crime what's going on, and I apologize for my passion, but I can't tell you how upset I am, and thank God we were able to treat you effectively, but that's not the case with everybody.
That's right.
Dr. Jeffrey Barkey, Irvine, California.
I'm lucky to have found you.
Thanks, Dennis.
I appreciate it.
Office actually is in Newport Beach, and listeners can learn more about me, rx4liberty.com, rx4forliberty.com, and I know I join all your listeners in wishing you a speedy recovery, and thank goodness that we got you back on the air.
We need you.
Is Barkey spelled there right?
- Is that right?
I don't think so.
It's not. - There's no doubt about it.
America is in the middle of a culture war.
The battle between left and right is real.
One side believes in American greatness.

Americans still have enough fighting spirit.
We're not Canada.
We're not Sweden.
We're not Germany.
I would say that even under lawful elections where it was close but you lost, the incoming administration would say, you know, we don't really have a mandate.
Normally people would say, I've got to deal with this closely divided group.
I can't do.
Great big dramatic things this group has come in and said we are gonna go as hard We're going to go to the left as hard to progressivism, as hard to socialism, as hard to communism as we can, as fast as we can.
We're going to go as hard to the godless view of everything as fast as we can.
We are going to empower our enemies and insult our friends.
We are going to undo everything the previous administration did, not because it's necessarily good for the country, but simply for the fact that the previous administration did it.
And you're starting to see, I think, a groundswell that is going to roll all the way through the 2022 election cycle.
Keep up with what's trending.
It is a terrible thing in American life, and it is only the beginning of a police state when this is allowable.
That Americans are okay with this is very distressing.
You cannot provide your family with an income if you don't get a certain medicine.
It's quite remarkable.

Well, let's see here.
Claude in Los Altos, California is heartbroken.
I have COVID. Wishing me a speedy recovery.
Don't be heartbroken.
I'm not.
I'm actually quite pleased that I do because I wanted to have natural immunity.
John, in Indianapolis, you won't talk about the complications of the virus and how there is no long-term study of the virus or a vaccine.
I'll talk about anything that I feel I'm knowledgeable about.
I can only say that if I can avoid the virus seriousness with therapeutics and avoid a hospital, Then why isn't that the ideal for me to engage in?
Why would the government want to stop that?
That's what I'd like to know.
Dave in Sterling Heights, Michigan's kids were vaccine injured.
Yes, it's not unheard of.
Look at the VAERS reports.
Let's see here.
What was the website where you can get ivermectin?
Seneca, South Carolina wants to know.
And let's see, buyivermectin24.com, alldaychemist.com are two that come to mind at this time.
Roger in Bakersfield says, I am ignorant about the study of vaccines.
I assume Dr. Barkey is also ignorant about the study of vaccines.
I don't know what makes one ignorant.
The irony is this vaccine was not studied nearly as long as vaccines are normally studied.
That's a fact.
I don't know why one would have unquestioning belief in something like that.
These are legit questions, my friends.
They're not opposition.
They're just legitimate questions.
Okay, I'm Dennis Prager.
