Guys, thanks so much for listening in to the Dennis Prager Show.
I'm Will Witt, joined by Amla Epinobi.
We are guest hosting today for Dennis.
We are from PragerU.
If you don't know what PragerU is...
Amla, why don't you enlighten them?
For sure.
We're a digital media company of sorts, and we put out, you know, great values.
Our five-minute videos are teaching young people and people of all ages, all over the world, about our conservative values, our Judeo-Christian values, and you can learn about virtually anything by going to PragerU.com in simply five minutes.
Yeah, whether it's politics or history or morality, any of those types of things.
I mean, PragerU probably has a video on it, and we have videos from, I mean, some Some of the greatest people in the world, some of the greatest minds to ever grace our planet doing these five-minute videos.
And it's amazing that we can have some of the smartest people, some of the most well-read, well-researched people, and the left will still call us misinformation.
This is how the left works.
The left tells you that...
That they believe in truth.
They tell you that you need to follow the science and follow the facts.
But in reality, they disregard those types of things and only look to emotions.
And so my new book, which comes out today, actually, or it came out today, it's called How to Win Friends.
Thank you.
I love the clapping.
Good job, Will.
If no one else will clap for me, we'll do sound effects in the back to clap for me.
My new book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, is kind of basically what...
I was just talking about how the left focuses on emotions and not really looking at the truth and facts.
And this is what this book does.
This book breaks down the 17 different chapters within the book.
And every single chapter is on a different political or cultural topic.
So there's one on racism in America.
There's one on police brutality.
There's one on climate change, cultural appropriation.
I mean, pretty much anything that you are debating or talking to people about when it comes to political or cultural ideas, my book probably has a chapter on it.
it.
And every single chapter breaks down the left's most common arguments and how to beat them.
I feel like there's a lot of conservative books out there that will just kind of tell you what's wrong with America.
But my book gives you the tools so that you can actually fight back and change minds.
So what's your story, Will?
Why should these people trust you?
Oh, well, I don't know if they should trust me regardless of my story.
But I mean, I would say I grew up in Colorado, and I was a liberal atheist my whole life.
Some of you may have heard this story before, some of you might not have, and I was I guess you would say depressed, and I didn't really know what to do with my life.
I was on the left, and I went to college, and everything kind of changed.
Most people go to college as their parents raise them conservative or Christian, and then they go and they shave their head or dye their hair blue and become a leftist.
Mine was the opposite.
I went to college and ended up becoming a conservative.
And so it all happened.
I was in a sociology class.
There was a black girl sitting next to me, who was my friend in the class, and my TA. Points at me and says, you are oppressing this girl because of the color of your skin.
And me and this girl, we kind of look at each other like, what?
What is going on right here?
You know, it was very awkward for both of us.
But this is how you create a victim culture in America.
You tell people that they are oppressed or they are oppressors and then everyone feels like a victim.
So after that I was kind of like, wow, I don't know if this is really true or not.
So I kind of looked into it some more.
And then also the girl who I was dating, this is in early 2016, turned out to be a huge Hillary Clinton supporter.
And so we would get into arguments on, I mean, everything.
And I remember she came to me one time, she's crying.
We're talking about...
Oh no!
How could you possibly?
I know, that's like the worst demeaning insult you can give to someone.
And I never thought about it, but I was like, you know what?
Maybe I am.
And I was like, I'm not going to let this woman beat me in a political debate.
And your villain arc started right then and there.
Exactly.
Yeah, no, that's when I became a potential extremist, according to the New York Times.
I told the New York Times this exact same story about what happened.
And, you know, after I started getting more into politics, I found out about PragerU and other student groups, and I started working with PragerU, and I decided to make a video on my campus.
I went and asked women what they thought about the wage gap.
I taught myself how to edit the video, shoot the video, and Prager, you loved it.
Craig gives me a call and is like, hey, we want to give you a job.
Long story short, after two years of college, I dropped out, best decision of my life, moved to Los Angeles with no money, not knowing anyone, but knowing that I had a passion and a zeal for life and something that I wanted to accomplish.
That was to make America a better place.
Dennis always says that he wrote down in a journal, years ago, I want to influence people to the good.
That has really stuck with me, that that has been his message.
Dennis is the reason why I work for PragerU, and because of that message is why I wanted to work for PragerU versus any other organization.
But like I said, I told the same story to the New York Times.
The New York Times did, I think about a year, year and a half ago, did a full piece in the Sunday edition.
I was on the cover of the New York Times, my picture, and they were talking about PragerU.
And in this article that New York Times put out, they said, you know, Will Witt, this conservative kid, he was depressed in college and so sad and crying all the time.
And then he found these bright graphics and PragerU videos and he was radicalized by them and then became a hardcore conservative.
And it's like conservative ideas didn't radicalize me.
Conservative ideas set me free.
Right.
That is the true basis of what conservatism is.
It is freedom.
It is people being able to live their lives without the interference of other people trying to restrict them.
And so that is what it is really all about.
And that is what my message has been about.
The ideas and the insights and the tools and persuasion tactics and facts, the things that are within my book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, which is available on Amazon or DennisPrager.com, I mean, those are the things, the values that I learned that turned me from a liberal, God-hating atheist into the conservative firecracker that I am now.
So I hope that you guys can get a copy of the book that came out today, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies Anywhere Where Books Are Sold.
Amla, why don't you tell us your story?
Sure.
I think Will and I had very similar backgrounds, upbringings, and transformations.
We were both...
I was not a black woman growing up.
No, it's not true.
That is, you are not a black woman, and I feel extremely oppressed sitting in this room with you right now.
As you should.
I was raised by a single mother who happens to be a leftist organizer.
She works for the left as we speak.
She does fundraising and development for them.
So she's not really happy that I'm doing this right now, but, you know, we get past that.
So I was raised with that influence for a really long time.
I grew up a young, angry, at-the-world leftist, and I internalized that.
I wanted to fight the man.
I wanted to change America.
And in my high school...
I was the one who was, you know, organizing school board meetings before it was cool to do that and before the videos went viral.
So I was doing that and yelling at the school board.
But I left high school and started working for the left as a youth organizer, going around to middle schools and high schools and indoctrinating young people into socialism and critical race theory, selling them their own oppression just as it had been sold to me, which is an interesting thing about leftism.
I call it this sort of self-regulating victimhood, is that once you convince somebody that they're a victim, what they're going to do is they're going to leave their house the next day and they're going to convince everybody else around them.
So you really don't have to do much to indoctrinate people.
All you have to do is tell them that they're oppressed and they'll handle the rest of the work for you.
They'll go around and tell everybody else about that oppression and drop them down into that abyss that is victimhood and depression.
So, like Will, I was really angry.
I was depressed.
Of course, when you work for the left every day, you're going into your office to try to find things that are wrong with the world, try to find injustice and try to fight it.
So I realized that I was unhappy.
Things were going wrong.
There was a number of conflicts that happened at the organization that I was working with, specifically in regard to being blatantly racist towards white people.
And I was raised by a white family.
So that struck me really hard.
Of course, questions arose.
And when I asked those questions, nobody wanted to answer them.
And PragerU was the answer for me.
I went online.
I found PragerU's five-minute videos.
I went down the rabbit hole of watching as many of those as I could and sort of working my way back from leftist to...
Wow.
You work for PragerU?
Yeah.
Don't you too?
I think I've seen you around the office.
Yeah, I think so.
For at least two hours a day at the office doing our show.
Amala and I host a show, if you guys didn't know, called Will and Amala Live, which is every single day, Pacific Time, 2.30 p.m.
or 5.30 p.m.
Eastern.
That's on our PragerU YouTube channel and our PragerU Facebook.
But there's something interesting that you mentioned there.
We'll wrap it up with this.
That the left, when you have differences of opinion...
And you bring it up to them and you say, hey, maybe there's a problem with this one aspect of socialism or this race stuff or the gender theory.
Can we talk about this?
They say no.
You toe the line.
You toe the line and say exactly what we want you to say.
Whereas I feel like in conservatism, I mean, me, myself, I mean, on our show and on all sorts of stuff on my social media, I mean, I'm talking about problems with Republicans and conservative media and just conservatism in general all the time and how we can be better.
I think that there's a huge difference there.
Oh, there's definitely a huge difference.
And I find that when you confront somebody with your opinions or you confront their opinions and they immediately get defensive and they don't want to talk to you and they don't want to answer your questions, that goes to show that maybe their opinions are unfounded.
Maybe what they think is not reasonable.
Maybe it is devoid of logic.
And since becoming a conservative, I found that I'm much more open to having conversations with people about what I actually believe, whereas when I was on the left, that was not a thing.
So Will and I talk about our opinions every single day at PragerU.
You can watch us on Will and Amala Live.
You can also watch our five-minute videos by going to PragerU.com, and we are going to be back in the next hour.
It does, Prager Show.

What's your advice to the Pentagon, Senator, on how to respond to the queries, which will never stop until we have a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute timeline and document supporting a decision tree here?
Well, that's sound advice not only to the Pentagon, but to anyone in the administration.
Look, Congress is not just going to move on from this fiasco.
We're going to get to the bottom of what happened.
Then if the Democratic Congress right now won't do it, then we'll get to the bottom of it in early 2023, once Republicans have won back control of the Congress.

Do you disagree with that?
Now, the lunatics who are so mask- and vaccine-crazed who are freaking out about 100,000 people in a college football stadium, I'll bet they think that's okay.
Well, the nine-year-old doesn't have his mask on, you got to tape it to his head.
Now tape the mask around it so it stays over his mouth and his nose.

If you're thinking right now, wow, Dennis Prager sounds awfully young and awfully feminine, that is because I'm not Dennis Prager.
I'm Amala Penobi.
We're also here with Will Witt.
We are two PragerU personalities here sitting in for Dennis.
And, you know, we talk a lot about what makes societies fall and what causes indoctrination in a nation.
And one of the main things that does that is a propagandized media and a dishonest media.
And we've seen examples of that.
Over and over throughout the past, I don't even know how long, decades now.
But one example of that that's happened very recently is the media's coverage of immigration.
So if you're unaware, there's been a major surge of immigration at our southern U.S.-Mexican border.
And this is specifically in regard to Haitian asylum seekers who are coming to the southern border.
Why?
Because the current administration decided to...
Suspend deportation planes heading over to Haiti.
So, of course, if you're a Haitian hearing this, you're going to head right over to the United States because you know there's a good chance that you won't be sent back.
So we've gotten this massive influx over the past couple of weeks of Haitian immigrants who are coming here illegally by the tens of thousands.
And the media really doesn't want to cover this.
And it's amazing to me that while all these problems are existing, they're directly affecting U.S. citizens.
The media just turns a blind eye to it.
I think that the people on the left forget the most important word, an illegal immigrant, and that is illegal.
It is illegal to come over to this country and just get free benefits from the government.
I like to ask people one of the great questions to ask people when they say, well, it's racist to build a wall.
It's racist to say it's illegal immigration.
You're supposed to say undocumented immigrant, right?
It's like...
Did you know that in spending bills of the past, within the last five years, our country has spent, we've said, oh, these people in Congress have said, oh, you know, the border wall is racist and we're all about undocumented migrants.
But then they're giving millions of dollars to other countries in the Middle East and around the world to build walls in their countries.
So they're literally doing the exact opposite of what they want in America.
So why do they do this?
What is the plan?
Because they want virtue signaling points by saying, yes, oh, we really care about But they're not having...
Nancy Pelosi isn't having illegal immigrants move into her neighborhood, or Maxine Waters, or any of these people.
They don't have to worry about these problems.
But everyday Americans do have to worry about this.
We have to worry about people from MS-13 coming into our country and committing crimes, and then being deported, and then coming back in and committing more crimes, which we've seen time and time again.
So, I mean, it is a radical situation that is unprecedented, because back in the day, even the people who were on the left, I mean, you had a...
You had Obama.
You had Clinton.
You had these other people, and they said, you know, we don't want illegal immigration.
Bill Clinton, too.
They said, we don't want illegal immigration because we know that illegal immigration pushes down workers' wages.
All the unions were against illegal immigration.
They knew this.
I mean, it was common sense.
So what happened?
Why did all this change?
It's radical to see the massive changes in everyone, and now they say illegal immigration is the civil rights issue of our time.
But, Will, we're supposed to have radical empathy for everybody and anyone who wants to come into the United States, even though it brings drug trafficking, sex trafficking, child pornography, anything you can think of is coming along with immigration.
And illegal immigration, I should say.
If you have empathy for the people, for illegal immigrants, I mean, you should have empathy for the women who are sex trafficked through illegal immigration.
You know why the sex trafficking is so bad?
Because of illegal immigration.
Because they're bringing underage girls through the border to be sex trafficked.
If you had a stronger border and didn't allow people to come in so willy-nilly, then this human trafficking wouldn't be happening at such a large scale because they wouldn't be able to get their product, product as in a person, into the country to be sold.
Yeah, look at how crime skyrocketed in Canada and Western Europe, in the UK, when they allowed illegal immigration into their country without any sort of assimilation to the culture.
And that's a key part.
There's a reason why we have immigration policy and why that immigration policy requires people who are trying to come into this country to learn about our country, to learn about our values, to learn our laws, to learn our history.
Because you have to have an appreciation and an understanding of the country that you are entering.
Or there's going to be a great clash between cultures, values, traditions, crime, anything you can think of comes along with removing that barrier of assimilation to immigration.
And you guys can call if you want to call in and talk to Amla.
Thank you.
1-8-Prager-776.
We'd love to take your calls.
And in my book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, which is available now anywhere books are sold, Amazon or DennisPrager.com, I have a whole chapter on illegal immigration so that you guys can actually use it when you're having your debates with people or trying to change minds.
You can use it and say, hey, I know all these facts about illegal immigration and the right questions to ask to change my mind.
So make sure you pick up my book that came out today.
But illegal immigration costs this country $200 billion a year.
$200 billion.
It costs the average Californian roughly about $2,500 a year in taxes for taking care of illegal immigrant health care, illegal immigrants in the prison system, things like that.
$2,500.
Imagine what you could do with $2,500.
I know Amla could use $2,500.
I know Will could use $2,500.
No, I mean all of us in California.
Listen, all of us in California, except for maybe Mark Zuckerberg, I think we all...
We all could use $2,500.
That would be nice.
Nothing makes me more mad than...
I understand the left having Tons of sympathy for so many people who are coming over.
Their countries are not the same as America.
Of course they want to come into this country and live out the American dream, if possible.
I mean, it makes total sense.
And I have a lot of sympathy for people who want to come over the border that way.
It's just tough that there needs to be a better way to mitigate it so that it's not illegal immigration, and you give these people a path to citizenship that says, hey, the border is secure, so we're not having drugs and crime coming over because we have a war.
We have more border security there.
We have more high-tech equipment to track it.
And it's also the ports of entry and the places where people can come and apply for citizenship are better manned and people can actually...
There's an easier path to citizenship for these people who actually want to have a better life.
We need to do that.
We don't want to talk about that on the left.
On the left, they just want to say, hey, these people are vulnerable.
Let's let them into our country.
We can take care of them.
We can handle it.
And the reporting around this recent surge is absolutely ridiculous.
Now, they had videos of the Border Patrol officers coming in on horseback trying to take care of these people who are trying to enter the country again illegally.
You do not start a relationship off with a new country illegally.
These Border Patrol agents go in on their horses, are trying to take care of these people, get them in for processing, and they get accused of cracking whips and beating these immigrants who are coming into America, which is not the case whatsoever.
There is so much dishonest reporting around this.
Instead of actually facing the issue saying, "We're having an unprecedented surge of illegal immigration right now in this country, and we need to solve it." We need to take care of it.
Instead, what the left wants to do as revolutionaries is create a new enemy.
Right now is border patrol.
So they're going to attack these men who are simply doing their jobs.
Yeah, they're incredibly brave, doing the right thing.
I mean, this is what they're supposed to do.
This is what they're supposed to do.
It's just like those Covington school kids, when they were getting accused of being racist, and the entire mainstream media came out against them and said, you know, these racist Covington high school kids.
But in reality, they weren't being racist, and actually these other people were harassing them on those steps.
And obviously, Nick Sandman got a lot of money from CNN for exposing that.
But, you know, this is what the mainstream media does.
They're habitual liars.
What they do is try and twist the truth into making you believe their leftist agenda.
So don't believe it.
I think that being against the mainstream media shouldn't just be a conservative fake news talking point.
It should be an American talking point.

In American attitudes to abortion, and especially in the youth, in the under-30s, who understand, they follow the science, they understand that this is a human being inside a mother's womb.
I don't want to get carried away with myself, but how important...
You are, you've taught constitutional law, you're a practicing lawyer.
How important, how significant is...
the SCOTUS decision and the signing into effect of the new heartbeat law in Texas?
It's very significant.
And even though this was simply a denial of an emergency application to stay the law, it shows that the Supreme Court is no longer reflexively protecting abortion as a so-called right.
And that's what is the most important part of this decision.
The Supreme Court said that they were not ruling on the merits of the issue.
Of course, it will be litigated further on the merits and potentially wind its way up back to the Supreme Court.
But what they're saying here is that no longer will an activist majority simply say, sorry, states, you don't have a compelling interest to protect unborn life.

But Biden is taking a hit, and Democrats are trying to stay clear from him.
The caller in the last hour said, where's Kamala?
Kamala is doing her best to stay clear of Joe Biden.
I mean, her polls stink, but combined...
Both of them combined.
I guess it's extra stinky together because both of them stink.
And the funny thing is, her polls are worse than his, and she wants to be nowhere near this cat.
But people are finding out that this Build Back Better thing is a socialist agenda, and the $3.5 trillion partisan wish list that the Democrats are wanting is starting to turn people off because people are starting to realize that the economic pain is going to be felt at home.
Average, everyday Americans.
We're going to feel that pain.
Overall, the poll found that Biden's net approval averages negative seven.
That means 44% are approving of his job as the president and 51% disapprove.
So this is a major slide.
A generic Republican on the ballot at this time would lead in all seven districts going up against the Democrat incumbents by six percentage points on average.
So Carl, the elections are so far away.
Holding down the fort while he's away, I'm your stand-in host, Amla Efinobi from PragerU, one of PragerU's personalities.
Now, we're going to get into an interesting clip that I found this past week of a very famous actor saying some very stupid stuff, but before that, Warner Bros.
Pictures presents Cry Macho.
From legendary director Clint Eastwood comes the story of being lost.
And found.
Eastwood returns as a one-time rodeo star and washed up horse breeder who takes a job to bring back a man's young son from Mexico.
The unlikely pair face an unexpectedly challenging journey.
The only road home is through redemption.
See it in theaters and on HBO Max for 31 days.
Now playing, rated PG-13.
Now, speaking of actors, let's get into one Jeff Daniels, who was on Stephen Colbert's show this past week.
Now, you may remember Jeff Daniels from the movie Dumb and Dumber, and if you ever wondered while watching that movie, well, who's dumb and who's dumber, let's listen to this clip and you will know exactly who is who.
I think the bloody son of the people of color was George White's murder, and white people said, I had no idea that we really caught one side of American history.
I better look into that.
So I started reading Isabel Wilkerson, Ta-Nehisa Coates, Carol Anderson.
You know, get educated because there's a whole...
We have an opportunity in this country right now to welcome in a new America.
We really do.
I feel the same way.
That there is...
I mean, strangely, not only in America, not in the way we approach our civic society.
But in the arts, there's reasons and there's an opportunity where things are reopening that never closed ever before to re-dedicate yourself to first principles.
Yeah, and white people are the ones who need to hear it.
So Mockingbird is, you know, with Aaron Sorkin and Harper Lee, it's a white point of view.
And it certainly is the story of Atticus coming to grips with the fact that one of the big central questions of the play is there's goodness in everyone.
You just have to care enough to look for it.
Is that true today in 2021?
Is there goodness in everyone?
Not so sure.
But you have to choose now.
You have to decide whether you're for eliminating or at least marginalizing systemic racism.
Or are you against that?
You have to choose.
You can't just sit back and go, please cut my taxes and I'm going to look the other way.
Well, there's also a choice before that, which is to acknowledge it exists.
Acknowledge it exists, yeah.
Amazing, amazing stuff.
Now, before we get into commentary on that, I want to give a quick shout-out to my Uncle Jerry and my Aunt Lisa.
It's my Uncle Jerry's birthday, and he watches Dennis Frager and listens to him all the time, so I'm sure he's delighted to hear me on here today.
Never thought I'd be doing this, but shout-out Uncle Jerry and Aunt Lisa.
Now, Jeff Daniels.
We've, you know, come to the conclusion that he's dumber from Dumb and Dumber.
This commentary is ridiculous.
And to hear two elite white males talk about my oppression and the oppression of people of color in this country is just ridiculous.
And it's as I said before in the previous segment, if you can convince somebody of their own oppression and victimhood, you've done all the work you need to do.
Because what they will do after that is go around and convince everybody else about how oppressed and how victimized they are.
And to hear people fall.
And so adamantly for the structures of critical race theory and to just soak in the bath that is white guilt is just baffling to me.
And the thought that we should somehow be punished by the crimes of our ancestors and for the transgressions of our ancestors is a claim that should never be made.
Do you know countries that do that, that punish people for the transgressions of their ancestors?
One country that does that is North Korea.
If your uncle from eight generations ago committed a crime, guess what?
Eight generations down the line, you're being...
Is that fair?
Does that sound fair to you?
And the idea that just by virtue of being white that you should hold some sort of guilt for the transgressions of your ancestors, even if your ancestors did nothing wrong, is just unfounded.
It's unreasonable.
It's unlogical.
But we've allowed this to carry on.
We've allowed this narrative to soak through our media.
And Stephen Colbert is a great example of that.
He's a great facilitator of this huge propagandized lie of white supremacy and systemic oppression.
In this country.
And to people who listen to him and who love what he has to say, I ask you this.
Do you want to be in support of somebody that is trying to convince you of your own victimhood?
Now, there's a side on this country that is telling you you're not a victim.
You can do whatever you want to do.
This country has opportunity for you.
You simply need to work hard and you will get there.
And there's another side of the country that says no matter what you do, just because you were born the way that you are, things are going to be harder for you and there will be barriers set in place for you.
Do you want to be on that side?
Because I don't, and I realize that after a long time of not knowing that.
And once you do realize that, you are so full of fulfillment.
You have this unbridled motivation for life to go out and do what you need to do.
And that's what we preach and teach at PragerU.
Will and I have a show that we do daily called Will and Amala Live at 2.30 PST, 5.30 Eastern on PragerU's YouTube and Facebook.
And you can listen to us talk more about that.
You should also consider supporting PragerU by going to prageru.com slash donate.
Now, in the next hour, we'll be back to talk about some American history.
The Dennis Prager Show, live from the Relief Factor Pain-Free Studio.
Awesome.
Thank you.
But Biden is taking a hit, and Democrats are trying to stay clear from him.
The caller in the last hour said, where's Kamala?
Kamala is doing her best to stay clear of Joe Biden.
I mean, her polls stink, but combined...
The both of them combined, I guess it's extra stinky together, because both of them stink.
And the funny thing is, her polls are worse than his, and she wants to be nowhere near this cat.
But people are finding out that this Build Back Better thing is a socialist agenda, and the $3.5 trillion partisan wish list that the Democrats are wanting is starting to turn people off, because people are starting to realize that the economic pain is going to be felt at home.
We're going to feel that pain.
Overall, the poll found that Biden's net approval average is negative seven.
That means 44% are approving of his job as the president and 51% disapprove.
So this is a major slide.
A generic Republican on the ballot at this time would lead in all seven districts going up against the Democrat incumbents by six percentage points on average.
So Carl, the elections are so far away.
Why are you worried about this or why are you talking about this now?
Polls don't matter.
Polls do matter to Democrats.
Unfortunately, I feel like Republicans are starting to do the same.
Republicans have an opportunity of a lifetime, in my opinion, to kick Biden while he's down.
And you have Kevin McCarthy.
Kevin McCarthy seems to have backtracked slightly.
But Mitch McConnell talking about they don't want to impeach.
Why not?
Why not?

When do the families of the people stranded there go public?
That's really the issue, Byron, because that will draw attention.
Well, I think it's going to be pretty soon.
I mean, the United States is dependent either on the Taliban or the Qataris or some other nation to help get United States people out of Afghanistan.
Let's say one more thing.
I think on this issue of evacuations, there are two sides to this issue.
There is who we have not yet brought out of Afghanistan, and there's who we have brought out of Afghanistan.
And that's a lot of interpreters that we brought out.
And we are finding out more about the frenzied, confused, and incomplete vetting that has taken place.
We have one member of Congress, Representative Tiffany, I believe is his name, from Wisconsin, who went to an army base where thousands and thousands of people have been brought, and is asking, well, what's the betting on these people?
Did they need to be brought to the United States immediately?
Could they be waiting in a third country, safe from...
Being out of Afghanistan, waiting in a third country, while the United States conducts normal vetting operations that we perform on all refugees.
And they're not.
I mean, they're already in the United States.
The Biden administration is issuing them all what's called humanitarian parole.
That is,
coming to the United States because we say so. - coming to the United States because we say so. -
Hey buddy, we are back.
Your sit-in host, Will Witt and Amala Benobi.
Will is back.
He did a brief little stint there on the Ben Shapiro show.
Sorry, folks.
I had to do a brief stint on the Ben Shapiro show, okay?
Hypothetically.
Hypothetically.
If I left this show and did the Ben Shapiro show, would I be on a different show?
You'd have to think about it, folks.
Okay?
There's my Ben Shapiro voice for you guys.
That's pretty good.
Thank you.
We should just do the rest of the show as Ben Shapiro.
I think we should.
Sadly, though, Ben Shapiro wasn't actually on the show.
He was a guest host.
It was Matt Walsh.
Oh, okay.
That's still cool.
Yeah, so the one time my book comes out, he's having a guest host.
I like Matt Walsh, though.
Matt Walsh has actually really grown on me.
If you guys don't know Matt Walsh, he's a contributor over at the Daily Wire.
He's really grown on me.
I think that he is a truth teller and he says what's real, even if it makes a lot of people angry.
I like...
I like that.
He's a firecracker.
He's a firecracker, too.
You are very similar.
Yeah, no, we are similar in that sense.
So I think Matt and I get along well.
So it was good to have him on there.
Anyway, guys, thanks for tuning in to the Dennis Prager Show.

I love Palm Beach.
I mean, it's one of my favorite places.
Hi!
It's great to hear some young conservatives.
It really is.
Oh, amazing.
But my topic is...
Now, a young conservative with conservative values compared to...
The younger generation with liberal values when it comes to working.
Now, I can understand working.
You know, you work, you pay your rent, hopefully buy a house.
But the market is so outpriced for your generation.
How do you keep those values to put work first instead of, maybe I need a handout.
Maybe I should not be paying rent.
Maybe I can live in somebody's house rent-free.
They have a house.
Why don't I have a house?
So how do you battle as a young conservative?
And if the politicians would do something more in that topic, maybe we would have more young conservatives.
So that's what I'm bringing up.
Will is very passionate about this subject matter, so you struck a chord.
Yeah, I have a whole thing in my book about it, and I think that it's really important.
So thank you, Joe, for calling and asking that question to us.
Listen, we're talking about, you know, why aren't the politicians doing anything about actually fixing the crisis when it comes to how expensive rent and housing is?
You know, housing and rent has risen exponentially in the last 50 years.
the price of housing and rent, also the price of medical expenses, the price of education, all have risen exponentially, while wages have stagnated.
Immigrants and women have entered the workforce, not saying it's a bad thing, it's just what's happened, and have made it so that Labor is much less valuable in America.
And so the wages have stayed the same since about the 1980s, but the prices of all these other things have totally exploded.
So, you know, I am all for the American dream, and young people can totally make it.
I made it.
AMLA made it.
You can pick yourself up by your bootstraps, and you can do something absolutely incredible in this country.
There is no other place in the world that you can do that.
But with that being said, there are a lot of hurdles that the federal government has We're good to go.
Housing is so expensive because we took special interest money from a financial firm like BlackRock to load the market and make it so that you can't actually afford a place to live.
Because they don't care about these things.
BlackRock is coming in across the country, which is, again, a financial institution.
And they are coming across the country.
They are buying single-unit homes, single-family homes, and they are turning them into rental properties.
They are coming in and buying them for double the price.
Double the price.
So how do you expect, as you know...
Oh, maybe I'm going to put 5% down on a house and then work my way up and get this equity.
How am I going to do that when they are coming in with cash, buying the houses for double the price and turning them into rental units?
So there's big problems happening right now in America that I don't think people really get a grasp on when we're looking at the younger generation.
70% of millennials right now are living paycheck to paycheck, and I think a lot of that is because they spend money on avocado toast and new Netflix subscriptions.
But there is...
A big problem in how the bureaucracy, the elitists, and the special interest corporations treat young people in this country.
Yeah, there has to be regulations on that.
They've done several studies on just how difficult it is to buy a house.
One out of Houston shows that BlackRock, that financial institution we were talking about, bought 20% of the single-family households that were built in Houston.
What are you going to do as a resident trying to move over there and get a house and build a family?
There's just simply no way to do that.
And now, if you're an American making the median income in this country, It takes you nearly 30 years just to get a nice, sizable down payment for a house.
So a free market does not mean it's completely free of regulation, and there needs to be something done about these companies and these special interest groups that are able to buy up houses and just really alienate people from the market and really strip people of the American dream itself.
And this is why we're not libertarians.
Yes, exactly.
This is why we are conservatives, because there are things that the government, I think, can be useful with when it comes to things like this and stopping monopolies and people from overtaking us.
And it's funny because when you look again at the mainstream media, you had Vox.
If you guys know Vox, Vox is another kind of digital media news company, and they put out an article and said, "You know, maybe these companies coming in and buying all these houses isn't that bad." You know who serves on the BlackRock board?
One of the people from BlackRock.
One of the guys from BlackRock is on the board of Vox.
Exactly.
That sound is perfect for that.
You have BlackRock owning major shares in the New York Times, major shares in AT&T, Comcast, Disney, owning all of these different companies or having ownership in them, and you expect them to be putting out values and things that will actually help you.
BlackRock and JPMorgan Chase put out diversity quotas for their employees.
Well, at the same time, they buy up these houses across the country, which then makes it so that...
African Americans and Hispanic people can't buy houses to build any equity, so they're renters for life, and so actually what they are doing is the racist thing that they are trying to virtue signal and say they're not doing.
I mean, how insane is that?
We can get more into this in other segments if you guys are interested and want to make more calls.
This is kind of a big deal for me.
But if you're not going to be listening the whole time, in my book, in the last chapter of my book, A Vision for America, I talk about this.
You can order my book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, at DennisPrager.com or at Amazon, anywhere books are sold.

And the Congress is going to get to the bottom of what was, in retrospect, probably one of the worst mistakes of the last three months, which is abandoning our secure airbase with a significant perimeter to protect against the exact kind of suicide bombing that claimed 13 American lives.
Now, I know an individual in General Milley's circle.
And I am told exactly what you just said.
They would not lift the cap on the troops.
But my advice to this individual was tell everyone you can to get a story straight, a timeline down, and every supporting document in one binder so that you do not have to change your story on timing or detail even once or you'll have Benghazi on your hands.
And I believe that the Pentagon would be well served to over...
What's your advice to the Pentagon, Senator, on how to respond to the queries, which will never stop until we have a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute timeline and document supporting a decision tree here?
Well, that's sound advice not only to the Pentagon but to anyone in the administration.
Look, Congress is not just going to move on from this fiasco.
We're going to get to the bottom of what happened.
Then if the Democratic Congress right now won't do it, then we'll get to the bottom of it in early 2023, once Republicans have won back control of the Congress.
Not just the Pentagon, but anyone who is involved in this needs to understand that Congress and the American people are going to insist upon answers, and they need to have those answers ready, and they need to be documented and demonstrated with evidence.

We are your hosts today on the Dennis Prager Show.
I want to remind you guys, if you want to call in, we love taking calls.
We do.
And we love taking calls from people who disagree with us.
That's true.
So, you can call in at 1-8-PRAGER, P-R-A-G-E-R, 776. Once again, that's 1-8-PRAGER, 776. I want to get to this call from Josh.
In Atlanta, Georgia.
Let's get Josh on the phone.
Hi Josh.
Hey guys, how are you today?
Good, man.
Hey, Amala, I discovered you not long before you joined Prager, and I actually reached out to you via Instagram and said, "I love your voice.
I love what you've got to say.
You're such an encouraging voice for conservatism." I remember saying, "You've got to get in touch with Prager." Prager would love you.
And then about a month later, I saw your story on Stories of Us.
I just want to say, you know, Amali, you're such a beautiful breath of fresh air, and Will, I love you too, especially that mustache.
You're killing it with that mustache.
The mustache is gone, man.
Oh, man, you've got to grow that thing back.
I was thinking you might have a second career as a cop, you know?
Yeah, yeah, Magnum P.I. Yeah, exactly, exactly.
I wonder if it's not a time right now for white conservatives to take a step back and to really promote the conservative voices of color that we have in our community because I feel like Right now, those are the voices that are going to speak the loudest, and they're going to speak with the most truth, and those are the voices that the other side can't deny.
Yeah, I definitely get that.
Thank you so much for the call, Josh.
I appreciate that.
Yeah, I think it's an interesting thing.
What I think is beautiful about conservatism is that we get to share the space together.
Will and I are, I guess, an unlikely pair when the left looks at conservatives.
A white man and a black female hosting a show together, and I think there's something beautiful about that.
They are beautiful.
So often on the left, when I was working for the left at least, we had conversations of, oh, we need to make white people step back and we need to let the black people come to the forefront and speak.
And I think inherently I just have a distaste for that sort of thinking, although I completely understand on the conservative side how black voices can be very, very effective in going against the narrative.
But I think we shouldn't respond to the narrative that the left paints of conservatives.
We should simply be ourselves, whether or not we're black, we're white, and step into the space and speak as loud as we can.
And that's what Will and I do on our show at Prager.
That's exactly right.
At PragerU.com, you can find our show, Will and Amla, live.
You can find Amla's awesome content that she does, like her stories of us explaining more in depth about her story.
You can find my Man on the Street videos.
And you can also go to DennisPrager.com or Amazon, and you can pick up my new book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, which is your guide to changing minds as a whole segment on racism and all of that that I think you guys are really going to enjoy.

Israel is getting ready for their fourth jab.
Now, some people, this is how dishonest the media is, they say, well, Israel in the last couple days, they've seen their rates go down.
Now, why do you think that COVID rates would be going down in Israel the last couple days?
Anybody?
Is it because of the vaccine?
Masks?
No.
It's because of the high holidays, okay?
People are staying at home and they're not going out and they're not working and they're not congregating.
So they've locked down the country through basically pseudo-religious mandate.
Israel and Sweden, if you look at the seven-day rolling average of new cases per 100,000, Sweden, on this chart that has been published, is right around 10%.
Israel has far exceeded 100%, and in fact, there are more cases right now happening in America and the Western world than there were a year ago.
And a very basic question should be, is the vaccine helping or is it hurting?
What's the answer to that question?
Why is it that rates keep on going up the more vaccinated we are?
Well, Israel is the only country in the world that gives the third vaccination to everyone at ages 12 plus.
A COVID passport is required for 12 plus.
And by the way, let me just say, I'm a very, I'm a lover of Israel and Jerusalem.
I don't know if I'm ever going back to Israel.
I don't.
I said this to one of my friends the other day who runs a great project there.
He said, oh, you'll be coming back.
I said, I don't know if I'll be welcome in Israel because I'm not getting vaccinated and I'm not doing any of this stuff.

Now, Will, as I understand it, you're an author?
As of today, your man, Will Witt, is officially an author.
Look, this is a real book.
This is a real book.
You understand that?
I know most people figured that on a Chipotle napkin, I would be writing down my thoughts and trying to present it to people.
Full-fledged non-fiction book.
But in reality, this is my real book that I wrote, that was published, that came out today.
It's called How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, Taking on Liberal Arguments with Logic and Humor.
It is, in my opinion, is one of the most important things that I've ever done.
It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever done, and that's not just writing the book.
That is marketing the book, advertising the book, you know, all of the signing of all the different books and writing handwritten letters to people who I want to sign it up.
I mean, there's still a lot of work to do.
I have my tour coming up next week for about three weeks.
I'll be going across the country.
But it's definitely been the hardest thing I've ever done.
But I feel like it's worth it.
I mean, I wrote this book.
I wanted to give you guys a reasoning of why I wrote this book.
And I did it for...
All of you.
I feel like there are lots of books out there, especially conservative books, that will give you all of the problems with America and not offer much in the way of solutions.
And so my book essentially gives all of you guys the facts, the questions, the persuasion tactics that you can use to actually change people's minds.
There's 17 different chapters in the book, and every single chapter is on a different political or cultural topic.
There's one on racism, there's one on climate change, there's one on cultural appropriation, on illegal immigration.
On abortion.
I mean, all these different topics, capitalism, socialism, all these different topics.
So, like, let's say you're at Thanksgiving dinner, and your Aunt Pam, who's had a little too much wine, starts ranting about abortion and what the deal is, and saying, it's my body, my choice, it's a clump of cells.
Run up to your room, grab my book, turn to the chapter on abortion, and find the parts where I lay out all of the most common...
And profound leftist arguments and how you actually beat people on all those arguments.
My book essentially takes all of the most common leftist arguments and then breaks them down so you can change people's mind on them.
That is what the book does.
I've talked to thousands of people, used these strategies.
I was on the left.
Amla was on the left.
The tools and strategies and facts that are within my book...
Are the same things that convinced both of us to now be conservatives.
And not just to be conservatives, but to be so strong conservatives and speaking out and being so bold about the things that we believe in.
Right.
The conversations are so important when it comes to changing people's minds.
Like I said, a fundamental part of me transitioning from left to conservative was conversation.
And when I was working for the left and I confronted people with conversation, I wanted answers to my questions.
Nobody on the left would give me those answers.
And I went online and I found conservatives who were willing to do that.
I found PragerU.
I found compassionate people who said, you know what?
I feel like you're lost right now.
Here are the answers.
Here's what I believe to be true.
Here is objective truth in many cases.
And that's part of what wakes you up.
And when you have somebody who's going to meet you there and have that conversation with you and do it in a way that's humorous and intelligent, it's going to be what truly shapes you.
So, Will, you've done a great job.
Thank you.
Yeah, well, Amla and I sat down when she was finding her way, and I said, Amla, here's the answers to life.
Here's what you need to know.
And now here we are.
The same conversation that Dennis had with me, telling me about life.
I remember one of the first times I met Dennis was at this...
It was at this event I did like four and a half years ago.
It was a Prager Force retreat in Woodland Hills, I think of the Four Seasons Woodland Hills, and we were doing a donor event there.
We were sitting on this couch afterwards, smoking cigars, and it was the first time I ever got to talk to him.
And I'll be honest with you guys, I was fairly nervous.
I'd never met Dennis before, and at that time I didn't really know Dennis too much, but I was still nervous regardless, because I was still some college kid.
And the way that he interacted with me, he was...
I mean, he was genuinely so nice to me.
Even though he never met me, I'm just some snotty-nosed kid coming up who barely can smoke a cigar.
And he's talking to me and giving me advice on what I should do next in my life and telling him, you know, here's what I believe and here's what I want to do.
And he gave me just fantastic advice.
I'll be honest, I can't even remember the advice of the things that he said.
He wanted me to get married immediately.
That's what he said.
So, you know, find that woman and take her to Marriage Town.
Take her to Vegas.
Marriage Town.
You guys know Marriage Town.
Right, right.
Right around the corner of Divorceville.
Right before you hit that.
He gave me some amazing advice, and so he really inspired me to be doing all of this and write this book and do everything that I did for PragerU.
Once again, the book is called How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies.
You can get it at DennisPrager.com and on Amazon or anywhere books are sold.
Since we're sharing first time meeting Dennis stories, my first time meeting Dennis was actually sitting where I'm sitting right now.
I came here and flew out to LA just to meet up with everybody at PragerU, see how I like the office, and they were sort of trying me out for this position.
And they said, you know what?
The story's great.
Let me get you on the Dennis show.
So I sat right here, so nervous to meet Dennis.
And he really is just the sweetest man.
You meet him and he talks to you as if you're the first person he's ever met.
He wants to know everything about you.
He wants to know your love life.
He wants to know what you're doing with your life.
He wants to know what your plans are.
So it's really come full circle to me sitting in front of Dennis, being this nervous kid, talking to him, to now hosting his show.
You're still a nervous kid.
I still am a nervous kid.
Nervous child, still.
That is very true.
But now I'm...
A hosting Nervous Child, which is crazy.
You've gotten very...
You're so skilled at this.
Yeah.
You are articulate and very passionate about things you believe in.
And you can tell that it's very genuine.
Yeah, if you saw my first video that I ever filmed.
So when we first got here, when I first got here to PragerU, they had Will and I meet for the first time.
Oh, you're telling this story.
And I'm going to tell this story.
This was one of the first videos that I ever filmed for PragerU.
One of my first times ever being in front of the camera.
And they had Will and I sit at a table very closely across from each other.
And we had to read.
Conservative pick-up lines to one another.
And I was so nervous.
And we were supposed to make each other laugh.
And of course, I'm just a giggly person.
You've probably heard me laugh a thousand times just listening today.
But Will did not laugh a single time.
No.
Well, you weren't funny.
That's fair.
You were so nervous that you weren't very funny.
I was so nervous.
And we were giving each other conservative pick-up lines.
I mean, Amla, you can admit it was the best day of your life.
Oh, yeah.
Hands down.
Just tell the audience how it is.
What was one of these pick-up lines?
There was one on Venezuela...
The only wall I'm breaking down is the wall around your heart!
Something like that.
I don't remember these conservative pickup lines.
Just horrible stuff.
If anyone from PragerU is listening to this right now, if you want to send them to me, text them to me, some of these conservative pickup lines will do them.
And if you guys want to talk to us, and maybe Amla will lay some conservative pickup lines on you, if you're lucky, you can call 1-8-PRAGER-776.
Once again, that is 1-8...
Prager, P-R-A-G-E-R-776.
You can call in, talk to us, ask us your questions, and we would love it if you disagree with us to call in, because Amala told me today she's got a fire under her, and she's ready to go.
She's ready to talk to people who disagree.
Always, always.
So yeah, Will and I finished up that video, and I thought, Will Witt does not like me, and I'm not getting this job.
And it turned out that was not the case, and I did get the job.
Yeah, no, I did like you.
I really liked you.
I told all of the executives at PragerU, and I said, listen, we've interviewed a few people here, and, you know, they're all fine.
They're not my favorites, but Amla, she's very good.
Thank you, Will.
And you should hire Amla.
And they listened to me.
For once, the people at PragerU actually listened to me.
One of my ideas.
And since then, I've told the executives, no, Will's really great.
Don't fire him.
Exactly.
No, I needed you as a teammate for me to make sure that I didn't lose my job.
Exactly.
So really, when I wrote this book, I mean, it was Amla who saved me from being fired, writing this book.
Once again, the book is called How to Win Friends.
And influence enemies, taking on liberal arguments with logic and humor.
It gives you the tools and the questions and the facts, persuasion things, persuasion strategies to fight back against the radical left, to fight back against the mainstream media and Hollywood and universities or, you know, your professor or someone at work that you know or someone even in your family asking these questions in the right way to change minds.
And also, if you like what we're doing, you like this show, and you like hearing conservative talking points and freedom talking points and just the truth, you can check more of our videos out on PragerU.com.
And you can find Will and Amala Live, the show Amala and I do together.
You can find Amala's content, Will Whitman on the street videos and other things, as well as all of the other amazing content that PragerU puts out.
You can go to PragerU.com today and check it out.
We'll be right back, guys.
Thanks.

Ladies and gentlemen, your stand-in hosts, Will Witt and Amla Epinobi from Prager University.
from Prager University.
Now, I wanted to get into a story that's developed.
We are sitting, so it's not really stand-in hosts.
Well, you know what I mean.
We're your sit-in hosts.
Either way.
Semantic semantics.
We're your PragerU personality sitting in for Dennis today.
Now, there's been a story that's developed out of the state of Texas.
Now, Texas has been in the hot seat for a little while now, whether it's for COVID or for abortion or for any of the legislation that they're putting out around public schooling, education.
But this one is surrounding their abortion legislation.
Now, I'm sure you're all aware that Texas put out a heartbeat bill that banned abortions after the detection of a heartbeat, which is typically six weeks in a baby.
Now, a doctor has decided to go against that legislative pass and perform abortions anyway.
And really unabashedly, he actually wrote an entire letter or what some may call an op-ed that was put out about why he decided to go against the heartbeat bill legislation and continue to perform abortions anyway.
So he did so for a woman.
Of course, the heartbeat had been detected.
And he said, you know what?
I've always been taught that abortion is health care.
It is a woman's right.
And I will not change that in my practice, even if the legislation dictates that I do such.
It's amazing to me that doctors will continue to do this, even though it is blatantly illegal.
And now there have been lawsuits filed against this doctor, although he should be seeking actual criminal action for this.
But it's just crazy to me.
The amount of rhetoric around abortion, the right to kill a child, is insane.
It's amazing that these SJWs and these feminists are having this issue as a hill that they would like to die on.
They will.
The left will tell you that it's health care and that it's a women's rights issue.
In reality, this is a human life issue.
And I think that there's a problem with men not standing up strongly enough for the unborn because you get shamed so much when you do it.
They tell me, I mean, every single time I talk about it, they say, no uterus, no opinion.
Oh, you're not a woman.
You can't talk about abortion.
It's like, oh, no uterus, no opinion?
Huh?
You know Roe v.
Wade was decided by men.
Exactly.
So you're fine with men deciding it and being on your side and saying something.
But if the men disagree with you about abortion, oh, then you're not allowed to have an opinion if you don't have a uterus.
And also, I thought men could get pregnant now.
So I feel like I should be able to say just as much about abortion according to the left's logic.
You can't have it both ways, leftists.
No, you can't have it both ways, yet they would love to have it both ways, but men who come out as, I don't know, eco-feminists or whatever you want to call them these days.
Eco-feminists.
That's a thing, Will.
That's a thing.
I'm sure that it is.
You're much more in touch with this thing.
And they wear the t-shirts that say we should raise boys and girls the same.
Now, those men are able to speak, and they're allowed to talk about whatever political issue they want.
But you, a conservative...
You get a different end of the coin.
Which is, you know, again, ridiculous.
We only want to hear voices that support the things that we say.
And as somebody who wants to be strongly held in their beliefs, you should want to hear dissident opinions.
Now, another story that's developed along the abortion lines is OkCupid, the dating app, has now allowed for people who create dating profiles, both male and female, to put a badge on their dating profile of whether or not they're pro-choice or pro-life.
Which is interesting.
And you know what?
I'm not fully...
I think if you're a guy going on a dating app and you're looking for a girl and you want one who's pro-life, great.
There's a badge right there for you and you'll know who you should and should not be with.
Yeah, I actually think it's a good idea.
Yeah.
Because you're putting it right out there.
I agree.
And saying, hey, here's the thing.
I think there's some dating apps who are doing like, you can put vaccinated or unvaccinated on there too.
Oh, it's so interesting.
For people to be able to say like, oh, I want to be with this person or don't want to be with this person.
I think that the more choices on those types of dating apps are actually going to be very helpful.
For a lot of people to find the right one.
I am not the biggest fan of dating apps in general.
I think that it gives men an excuse to be lazy.
And not actually go there and try and win a woman's affection or her heart or go to a restaurant or a bar or a sports game or something and meet someone who they could fall in love with.
And they'd rather just sit at home and swipe.
So I think that dating apps have a detrimental effect for the most part on society.
But I do think that if you're going to have a dating app, I think specifying on different things that matter to you, especially when it comes to things of value, are...
Yeah, but it's interesting.
I think it speaks to the polarity that we're now experiencing right now as a nation where politics really did not use to make or break relationships.
And, you know, you could function on a shared love for America, a shared love for faith, a shared love for family.
But now politics is breaking up families, it's breaking up friendships, and it's breaking up relationships.
So now we feel the need to have our dating apps and our dating profiles instead of saying, well, I like playing music, and I like reading books, and I like watching movies, and I like doing this.
You know, I'm pro-life.
I am hardcore conservative.
I think we should build a wall.
I'm against, you know, this, this, and that.
Instead of truly things that are actually fundamental to your personality.
Yeah, brother looking for love.
Where am I pro-life women at?
MAGA 2024!
Yeah, that's right.
No, I actually...
I'm split on this because I don't want children and people who are younger, maybe 21 and younger, to be so involved in politics because I want them to enjoy their life and not focus on those types of things.
Me too.
But when I see that there are so many of my fans who are younger and very outspoken conservatives, when at the same time when I was their age, all I could think about was partying and not politics.
Politics was the last thing on my mind.
It is heartwarming to see that there are young conservatives who are standing up against the young leftists.
So it's sad that we have to have these young people be so entrenched in politics, but if the left is going to do it, then we as conservatives have to do it too.
And so you need to be proactive as a parent, teaching your kid good values, and saying, hey, I'm not going to let up teaching you about what's right or the truth just because I don't think that you should be involved in politics.
Because the people at your school, the people in Hollywood...
On TV, that your children or younger people in America today are seeing are all dominated by the left, and they have no qualms about steamrolling your kids' values and turning them into a soft lefty piece of Play-Doh ready for them to be molded.
Yeah, the age barrier for entrance into politics is getting younger and younger and younger and younger, and we have to respond to it, and it is simply sort of a defensive thing that we have to do, because the left are the ones who are getting extreme.
We've stayed pretty clear in our values.
We've stayed where we...
With what we've believed for a very, very long time.
But the left continues to get more and more extreme.
And as they get more and more extreme, they target people who are younger and younger and younger.
Because extreme values do not really listen to logic or reason.
So it's hard to trick adults into believing what you believe.
So they have to go for children.
They have to go for young people.
They have to indoctrinate through cartoons and through public schools.
And we, as conservatives, have to be defensive about it.
And we have to start teaching our kids younger and younger.
We have to start really getting these values set in place before...
You know, a leftist comes along and does it for you.
Yeah, don't let them do it first.
You've got to beat them to the punch and really push hard on your kids.
Not push hard on your kids, but push those values on your kids and let them know this is the truth.
This is the right way of thinking.
Because they're children.
They're easily moldable.
You have to be that person to do it, okay?
Don't just expect the world around them to just say, oh, here you go.
Let's put you in this public school where we have no idea what's going on and just say, oh, all right.
Here you go.
And leave it to that.
No, you need to be proactive.
And in my book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, in my final chapter of Vision for America, there's a whole few pages about family values and how to teach your children, as well as another chapter on family values and abortion and how to change people's minds on those topics.

Israel is getting ready for their fourth jab.
Now some people, this is how dishonest the media is, they say, well, Israel in the last couple days, they've seen their rates go down.
Now why do you think that COVID rates would be going down in Israel the last couple days?

Will Witt from PragerU here, joined by Amala Epinobi.
We are your hosts today while Dennis Prager is out living biblical truths.
That is what he is doing today.
An amazing man and his life is better for it.
So we want to get into some calls.
If you want to call us, you can do 1-8-PRAGER. Once again, that's 1-8-Prager-776.
Come and talk to us.
Come and disagree with us.
Come and compliment Amala like everyone does and usually forgets to compliment me.
I understand.
It's tough.
But come give us a call at 1-8-Prager-776.
And we're going to get into this one call.
But I just got this review on Amazon.
That I wanted to read some of the parts of it for my new book.
I thought it was quite hilarious because they gave me, they said, here's what they said on Amazon, okay?
They said, dumbest book I've encountered in a long time.
The opening words of chapter one spoke volumes.
Quote, not a day goes by when I am not called a racist.
End quote.
That's what I say in my opening chapter of the book.
And he said, you know how many days go by in my life without someone calling me a racist?
Nearly all of them.
When you are called out for something every single day, perhaps you should pay attention and reassess.
Wow.
So apparently because the majority of people on the left want to call me horrible things every day, that must mean that it's true.
I get called a white supremacist all the time.
It must be true.
No, it must be true.
There's no getting around it.
If people call you something, it means that it's true.
Absolutely.
And this is what we're dealing with the left.
He said, here's his final thing.
This book is rude, condescending, Unquestioningly accepting of its own correctness, unfunny, unrelenting nonsense, and definitely not worth your time.
Wow.
So this is what the left wants to do to conservative authors.
They want to put bad reviews on Amazon and say, you know, don't ever buy this book because it's propaganda and it's horrible.
And so this is what they're saying about my new book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, which is available.
It came out today.
So now people can write reviews on Amazon, which the leftists have found and are already doing.
I don't know how he read the book in a matter of three hours to be able to do this.
But regardless, if you guys want to get a copy, you can go to DennisPrager.com or you can go to Amazon, get a copy of my new book.
How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, your guide to changing minds on all the biggest issues.
Alright, let's get to Dale in Detroit.
I know you've been waiting.
Let's get you on, Dale.
Hi.
Hello, it's an honor to speak with both of you.
Oh, thank you.
I've got a question, and I'm looking forward to listening to your book.
Is it available on audio also?
Yeah, so it's available on Apple Audio right now, and then tomorrow it'll be available on Audible.
Great.
So my question is, I've read several books that are similar to this that give points about the conservative side and the reasons why those different conservative points are correct logical points also, not just emotional.
My question is, I've never come across a good book that tries to convince someone I'm conservative.
Try to convince a conservative, the liberal side.
Are you aware of any or did you read any to kind of counter those type of points that they try to make in writing this book?
It's interesting, because, you know, the point you're making, no, I have not seen a leftist book that really targets conservative opinions and says, you know, here's the logical leftist answer to that.
I think leftists often just talk about their ideology on its own and push that.
You see that with the Kimberly Crenshaw's and the Abram X. Kendi's.
And they just push their ideology on people.
They convince them of their victimhood.
And there's not a lot of logic behind leftist teaching, regardless.
However, you do have these sort of leftist books that go through.
A good example of that is People's History of the World, I believe, by Howard Zinn.
Yeah, People's History of America by Howard Zinn, where he goes through, and it definitely is a left-leaning book, but he doesn't attack any certain arguments.
I mean, he does.
He does attack some of those arguments, and thank you so much for the call, Dale.
I really appreciate it.
I think that, you know, I mean, even in Howard Zinn's book, it's full of inconsistencies.
It's full of misinformation.
I mean, he couldn't even get the timeline of the bombing of Dresden right.
How many other things do you think are incorrect within that book?
So I don't think that the left really feels like they need to make a book like I made, where I'm breaking down conservative arguments, because the whole world is already their oyster.
The whole world is already leftist.
I mean, they don't need to have these types of books that say, hey, let's logically think about leftist thought and all of that.
Like, let's just, the universities, the mainstream media, all of this is already on the left.
Why do we need to make another book?
But I mean, there are children's book, A is for Activist, Jacob's New Dress, which I've made.

Hi, David.
Yes.
Hi, I'm here.
Thank you for taking my call.
Of course.
So I'm going to buy your book soon.
I also will not call you a racist, which probably ought to have been done today.
Yeah, well, here I am.
Thank you.
Yeah, my comment is this.
So I'm on Facebook and have been for years, and I don't want to do politics on Facebook because, one, I don't have time to answer 8 million comments and go down that rabbit hole, I feel.
And two, you know, when you first mentioned your book, you said that among the people it answers to are Hollywood and colleges, and I was an actor and went to a liberal arts college.
A giant, two subsets of my friend groups are exactly what you're talking about.
Hollywood and...
So my question is, or comment, what do you recommend that I do?
How can I address political issues on Facebook without making it my full-time job in addition to being a stay-at-home job?
Thank you for the call, David.
Appreciate it.
Yeah, I mean, I think...
At the very least, I think putting the opinions out into the space is important if you have the time.
It doesn't necessitate you responding to every single dissident comment that you get and going into arguments on the internet, but I think it's more important now than ever that as conservatives we do not remain silent.
In whatever capacity, we can do that.
So, you know, if you're consumed with work and your kids, that is totally fine.
But one thing that you can do as a person is just...
Plant those values with your kids.
Plant those values with your family.
If you're having family dinners, let's talk about what we hold dear as a family.
And if you don't want to do that outside of your family and you don't want to hop on Facebook and do that, that's totally fine.
But if you have the capacity to put the ideas out there, even if you get a thousand comments, you know, people will have their own conversations in your comments on their own.
They will change each other's minds.
They will sort of go through the ideas and see what they think.
And it's not your obligation to respond to each and every person who has something to say.
But what I would say is, as a conservative, Whatever you can do right now, it's very important that you do it.
Conservatives have no right to complain about the state of the world if they won't do something about it.
And that's kind of a tough love comment, David, I understand.
But we can't say, oh, America's getting worse.
Oh, our schools are getting worse.
Oh, my kids are indoctrinated by leftism.
All of these different things, if we are not willing to stand up and say something about it.
I say this all the time, and I think it's incredibly important, that if you are worried about what the left is going to do to you now, You should be far more worried about what's going to happen in the future if you do nothing now.
Absolutely.
Because the left doesn't care.
They will steamroll you.
They will destroy you.
They will shut you down.
And they will make sure that you don't have a voice anymore.
Look at how much worse censorship has gotten on social media.
Big tech and big media made a trillion dollars during the pandemic.
So, of course, they're going to want to shut down any sort of voices that say the lockdown should have ended, right?
Right?
And so these big tech companies are silencing people all over the place on all sorts of different issues.
And so it's incredibly important that we are standing up and being these voices of reason.
Because if we don't, then I don't see we really have a right to complain.
At least you can say, even if things continue to get worse, you can at least say, I stood up for truth.
You know, when you write when you know the truth, like imagine like, you know, like someone tells you a secret or something or, you know, the keys to the universe and you have that inside of you and then you don't go out and say it.
You feel like you're lying to yourself.
You feel like there's a part of you that's not really being expressed.
You don't want to feel that way.
You will be a better, more fulfilled, and happy person when you start telling people the truth about what you believe and what you know is right.
Yeah, what's the analogy there?
Alerting people about the snake in the yard.
And it's not your obligation to go and save them from the snake.
It's not your obligation to go and kill the snake.
It's your obligation to say, I know this to be true.
I know that it's harmful.
And there it is.
And you let people know that.
And whatever they do, That information is their business, but at least you can go to sleep at night saying, I alerted people about the snake in the yard.
No, snakes are pretty scary.
They are.
Where I grew up, we had rattlesnakes.
Well, where I grew up, they just had little black garden snakes, so they're not that scary in Florida.
Well, rattlesnakes will kill you.
Yes, that's true.
I mean, they're dangerous.
That is very true.
They're dangerous.
So tell people about the snake in the yard if you can.
And again, like I said, the most important thing as a father is that you're teaching your kids this, so that's, I think, priority number one.
But any free time you have outside of that, a Facebook post here and there would be great.
And again, it doesn't necessitate you responding to everybody who argues.
Let's get Jason from California.
What is going on, Jason?
Hi.
Hey, Will.
Hey, Amala.
How are you two?
We're great.
Good, good.
Hey, I was driving home from my martial arts class listening to you guys, and I heard the review that the gentleman wrote on Amazon.
And I wish he was listening so I could thank him personally.
As a result, I ordered the book.
That's amazing news.
Look at that.
See, that type of negative attitude from people can drive people to fight harder.
You know, that's like a silver lining.
That's like a silver lining of California and this recall and things getting worse, is it might drive some people to fight even harder because they see how much worse it could be.
Yeah, and to the last caller, you know, I mean, we all have our likes and dislikes and whatnot, but I've made a decision to boycott a lot of things, Facebook being one of them.
I heard you a minute ago, get more involved.
As a result of what's going on, I've joined the PTA. Amazing.
My child's school.
So yeah, it's, you know, people need to stand up and be vocal and not be silent.
Thank you.
I appreciate you guys.
And thank you both.
Thank you, Jason.
I appreciate that.
That is exactly what we are talking about.
Jason, this dude is a total boss.
He's coming out and he's joined the PTA and he's going online and talking about it and boycotting companies that hate his values.
I mean, that is the masculine American right now.
If I don't know a better idea of masculinity, I mean, he's the one.
That is what you do.
You fight for the America that you want to see.
You fight for the America that you want your kids to live in.
And that's what we try to do at PragerU.com.
So go and check us out.
We are Will and Amala.
We'll be back.

But Biden is taking a hit and Democrats are trying to stay clear from him.
The caller in the last hour said, where's Kamala?
Kamala is doing her best to stay clear of Joe Biden.
I mean, her polls stink, but combined...
Both of them combined, I guess it's extra stinky together, because both of them stink.
So, Carl, the elections are so far away.
Why are you worried about this or why are you talking about this now?
Polls don't matter.
Polls do matter.
Why not?
I was under a constant attack.
You're not really black because you're not doing what we expect black people to do.
This is the wrong black guy.
He has to be destroyed.
So you'd still like to serve on the Supreme Court?
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.

Thank you so much.
We are your sit-in host, Amala Benovi, and Will Witt, your PragerU personalities.
And we host a show called Will& Amala Live every single weekday on PragerU's Facebook and YouTube at 2.30 PST, 5.30 Eastern.
Now, we do a recurring segment every single Monday called Dear Will& Amala, where Will and I, two people wholly unqualified, really, to give dating advice.
I am qualified.
What do you mean, unqualified?
I've had plenty of relationships.
We do give very sound advice, although we are not certified to give such advice.
You have to be certified?
No, I don't think so.
We dropped out of school and we give political takes, so I guess...
That's very true.
There's too much regulation already.
There is too much regulation already.
We're not going to be pro-regulation in that respect.
But young people need so much more advice than just when it comes to politics.
And a lot of them reach out to us about dating advice.
So we're going to go through a couple of questions that we got.
Here's one from Laura E. Duncan.
She says, Dear Will and Amala, should a girl make the first move in a dating relationship?
And if so, how?
No.
That's the answer.
The girl should not be making the first move.
Listen, the girl can drop hints and be like, hey, I think you're cute.
I really like you.
You know, why don't...
You're awesome.
I love your new book.
You know, she can make those types of hints.
But...
When it comes to stepping forward and saying, you know, I'm going to take you out somewhere or whatever that might be, then it needs to be the man pushing forward and saying that first.
Yeah, and I think that's a part of masculinity that we need to bring back.
So often now we're telling women that, no, you can make the first move.
You can propose.
You can ask the man to move in.
You really shouldn't have to do that as a woman.
And it's a sign of the sort of effeminate nature of men that we now have in our country.
So as a girl, don't you want a man who's going to make the first move for you?
Don't you want to...
I think that's what you look for in a guy.
And if a guy's not doing that, don't force yourself to make a move on him.
Of course, you can always drop the hints, let him know you like him, but let him make a move.
Will's recurring advice when it comes to dating is always just kiss them, which I have weird feelings about.
60% of the time, it works every time.
Let's do another quick one here.
It is homecoming season for our high schoolers out there.
And this is yet another girl asking, do I go and ask the boy to dance?
And if so, how?
What is going on with the nature of men that all these girls feel the need to chase?
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having at all.
Wow.
V for Vendetta.
Use that line.
You're in.
You'll get that dance.
That's what you gotta use.
And hopefully the guy will use that on you and you don't have to use it on him.
You would hope so.
You can only hope.
Well, Will and I on our show talk a lot about femininity and masculinity.
If you're a young person listening right now, I would urge you to listen to our show, Will and Amala Live, on the PragerU YouTube and Facebook page at 2.30 PST, 5.30 Eastern.
And you can support us by going to prageru.com slash donate.
We'll be back in the next segment.
The Dennis Prager Show.
Live.
We'll be back in the next segment.
With Afghans who have been brought to the United States, we have one member of Congress, Representative Tiffany, I believe is his name, from Wisconsin, who went to an army base where thousands and thousands of people have been brought, and is asking, well, what's the vetting on these people?
Did they need to be brought to the United States immediately?
Could they be waiting in a third country, safe from...
Being out of Afghanistan, waiting in a third country, while the United States conducts normal vetting operations that we perform on all refugees.
And they're not.
I mean, they're already in the United States.
The Biden administration is issuing them all what's called humanitarian parole.
That is coming to the United States because we say so.

And I believe that the Pentagon would be well served to over respond rather than under respond at this point.
What's your advice to the Pentagon, Senator, on how to respond to the queries, which will never stop until we have a day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute timeline and document supporting a decision tree here?
Well, that's sound advice not only to the Pentagon, but to anyone in the administration.
Congress is not just going to move on from this fiasco.
Any kind of shifting explanation or political spin or CYA is going to be exposed.

I am also the author of the new book that came out today, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, taking on liberal arguments with logic and humor.
And within this book, what I do is take all of the most pertinent and popular leftist arguments and I break them down on all of the biggest issues of the day, the 17 chapters, 17 different political/cultural topics, and I break them down on how you can actually change minds and win on those and I break them down on how you can actually change minds The book is available on Amazon or you can go to DennisPrager.com and it's also available anywhere books are sold.
You'll be able to get the Audible copy tomorrow as well, which is very exciting.
In my book, I talk a lot about California, and I actually made a documentary called Fleeing California, which you guys, if you haven't seen that, go to PragerU.com or check it out on YouTube, Fleeing California.
And it's all about why people are leaving the state.
And now we just had a very tough week when we're looking at, and last week, looking at California about the results of things that we wish had gone a different way.
And so we wanted to talk about...
Our views on California and just leftist states in general and whether or not we should leave.
And before Amala answers that, just remember 1-8-Prager-776.
You guys can call into the show at 1-8-Prager-776.
Talk to us.
Give us your thoughts.
Compliment Amala.
Whatever you would like to do.
Yeah, we're seeing this great exodus from states like California and New York, and people are headed to places like Tennessee and Florida and Texas.
And a lot of conservatives ask us specifically, you know, what is the way to fight?
How do we fight?
Should I stay here and fight?
Do I need to go somewhere else?
And the temptation, obviously, is to leave a state that is not producing anything productive for you, is not making you prosperous, is not making you happy, and is really right in front of your eyes disintegrating.
And I think that's...
I think there's no obligation that you have to stay in a place that is not serving you, especially when so much of your income goes towards that place and goes towards the policies that are affecting it.
Now, Will and I are here in Los Angeles, and we're here and we're fighting in one of the worst states to be in at the moment.
But there's something to be said about, one, moving out of a state that doesn't serve you.
Two, continuing the fight.
Now, a lot of people will move out of California and they'll move to places like Texas and Florida and they'll say, well, it's great.
Now I'm living in a freedom state.
It's red all over.
We got our red meat conservatives here and everything's fine.
I don't need to fight for my freedom anymore.
I don't need to battle politics anymore.
And I don't need to worry about the state that I left.
Now, if you're going to leave California because the policies are hurting you and it's hurting your family, sure, by all means do that.
But that does not mean that the fight stops.
No, it doesn't.
Just like in wars of ancient times, in the old crusades, when you had ancient Romans or the Franks and they take over a capital or a place.
That people are living at, and then they get pushed back, and they have to go back to another fortress and re-fortify there.
Yes, you might have lost the battle, and you lost your standing in a certain place, but you are re-fortifying somewhere else so that you can continue the war.
And that's something important to remember, is that if you are going to leave California, you are continuing the war.
You're going to leave Illinois, you're going to leave New York and New Jersey, and you're going to go to somewhere conservative.
Texas or Florida or Idaho don't become blue leftist zombie apocalypse.
Right.
I mean, Texas, look at the 2020 election.
Look at how close Texas was.
I mean, I think it was like, what, 52% for Trump and 48% for Biden.
I mean, what a ridiculous margin that is.
People think Texas is just this bastion of conservatism and freedom, and look at how close those numbers are.
So you have to stay and fight, even if you move somewhere that is more conservative than where you are now.
Yes, so often we fall into the loop of, we need to isolate.
We need to...
We need to concede ground.
So I need to move out of California.
And don't forget, you're leaving fellow conservatives there, who are continuing to fight.
But we leave, and we isolate ourselves, and we create these smaller communities of conservatives.
Which, at face value, is fantastic.
But when you do that...
The ground that you leave, guess what?
It goes to the left.
It's not going to a fellow conservative who's continuing the fight.
It's going to somebody who goes, you know what?
I love socialism.
I love communism.
I love CRT. I love Stephen Colbert.
Said no one ever.
Well, said millions of leftists.
And that's where the ground that you concede goes to.
And if you think that you're safe in Texas and you're safe in Florida and you're safe in Tennessee...
Think again, because there are people who are fighting that very same battle that you were fighting in California, but for the opposite side, right there in Texas, right there in Florida.
My mother, a leftist organizer, developer, fundraiser, is working in Florida, ladies and gentlemen.
So you can move to Florida, and it's a freedom state, but there are people there on the left who are just like I was three years ago, doing the work.
Everyone move to Florida and fight against Amala's mother.
Amala's mother.
You've got to fight against her.
Sorry, Mom.
I'm so sorry, Mom.
No, I'm sure she's...
But it's just a good example.
Yeah.
No, I'm sure she's a wonderful woman.
Yes.
She is.
I haven't met her.
I don't think she'd like me very much.
She probably wouldn't.
I would like her.
I'd like to meet her.
Yeah, the only thing that you and my mom have in common is a shared love for Alanis Morissette.
That's good.
No, you ought to know.
I got one hand in my pocket, the other one is saying peace out, California.
Yeah, isn't it ironic?
Isn't it ironic?
It's like rain.
If you guys understand, I hope you understand those references.
I hope so, too.
Listen, I think that it's important to know what is actually going on in California.
A lot of people don't understand the state that it's actually in, so let me give you guys some numbers on California.
So if you're not living there, you understand how bad it is.
One in five people in California live below the poverty line.
That is the highest in the country.
Over one million people in California are living in energy poverty.
To have a small business in California, you have to pay $128,000 a year in just regulatory compliance costs to the government.
There are so many things happening here that are terrible that people just don't understand.
I mean, higher minimum wage laws, more regulations on your business, the amount of half of the nation's homeless in California, even though homelessness is declining nationwide, it is growing in California because they incentivize people to do it.
There is poop all over the streets.
There is horrible roads that are falling apart because they won't work on their infrastructure, The traffic is terrible.
But, you know, at least the weather's good.
That's really the best part about Los Angeles.
And that, honestly, is a huge deal.
Because living in Los Angeles and seeing the culture, and I love how in Los Angeles the entire world is here.
You want to get a certain type of food, or you want to go to a certain festival, or talk to someone who might have a different opinion than you.
You go to Los Angeles and it is the hub of the world, right?
It's an amazing place.
But when it gets so absolutely gutted and destroyed and you cannot afford or survive in a place like this without being incredibly rich or incredibly poor living off the government, then I see no reason to stay, especially when you have all of these barriers around you.
Just don't forget that it goes far beyond California.
Once they're done with California, they will move on to a different state.
And it's going to be the states that tend to be the most red, that tend to be the most incendiary when it comes to going against leftist ideology.
It sounds like we're being alarmist, but it's so very true.
And how many more beautiful states and beautiful places do we have to see really disintegrate before we decide to stand up?
I can't tell you how many people reach out to Will and I and say, you know what, I'm a conservative and I believe exactly what you believe.
And these are people who live average everyday lives that take their kids to school.
And these are people who work in Hollywood and are music artists and are big actors.
And they reach out and they say, I'm so glad that you're speaking for me because I can't do it.
You have to do it.
You have to do it.
100%.
Let's get Brian on the line in Texas, who I think has a good point about this.
Got to be quick, Brian.
Hi, Brian.
Hi, this is Brian, and I remember the Ukraine farmers.
They thought that they were far away from anything and it wouldn't affect them.
And I know so many people that are, I guess, in the proper move.
They're trying to be self-sufficient and they say, "Oh, I'll just drop out of society and nothing will bother me because I don't need to be on the electric grid or whatever, on the internet or anything." But the thing is, evil will always come and search you out and find you and destroy you if you don't destroy it first.
Thank you for the call, Ryan.
I appreciate that.
These people, especially you were talking about Ukraine and Eastern European countries, they know better than anyone how quickly evil will find you, being controlled by communist regimes.
They totally understand what evil is and how quickly it can happen to you.
Again, the immediate reaction should not be to isolate.
It's not going to work.
And in the short term, it's great.
You build great communities.
You have shared values and like-minded people around you.
The left is looking for those isolated areas.
They are looking to influence people, and they will.
So you have to stand your ground and hopefully create a little counterbalance to what they're doing right now.
And that's what we try to do at PragerU.
We do it with our five-minute videos.
We do it with our book club.
We do it with Will's man on the street, with Will's book, with our show, Will and Amala Live.

Numerous blockades throughout Israel and mask mandates.
Where Sweden has no booster shots.
No COVID passports, no lockdowns, and no masks.

*music* Hi, everybody.
I hope you're all having a fantastic day.
We are so happy to be here, and I'm always happy to have Dennis's voice in my headphones.
I'm happy to have a lot more to say.
That's my favorite.
A lot more to say.
That's also true.
Now, we wanted to talk about a very important issue that, you know, the media really ran with when it first happened.
And, of course, it slowed down, which is so typical of everything that happens in this country.
It's so hard to keep up with the news cycle and to remember things that are truly important.
And one thing that is truly important that we need to keep talking about is our situation in Afghanistan.
Now, Hugh Hewitt wrote an amazing article for The Washington Post.
It's an opinion piece called We must own our complicity in Afghanistan.
I would urge you to go check it out.
I just want to read a couple of the quotes that he says in this.
Now, he starts off the article by saying, The United States' shame over its precipitous sprint out of Afghanistan will shadow the country's conscience for generations.
Every horror story, and they will keep coming, is partly the result of our decision to bug out.
The death and destruction that occur in previously secure parts of the country will be on the bipartisan decision to exit.
And it's so very true.
And again, the media has sort of moved on from talking about Afghanistan, even though we still have Americans and allies who are struggling and dying in the country.
Let's not forget.
And it's just amazed me how quickly we've sort of moved on from talking about this.
I can't say I agree with everything that Hugh Hewitt said in that article, to be honest.
But what I can say is that we need to be incredibly thankful of...
American ingenuity and American heroes who have come out and said, listen, if the government Isn't going to go and rescue American citizens and American allies out of this country.
We are going to send ourselves and use our own money to go and save people.
People like Glenn Beck, among others, who have put their money and hard work and all this stuff on the line to go to Afghanistan to get our men and great people out of there.
So, I mean, kudos to those people.
And it seems like, obviously, the left forgets about these people.
Right.
Very easily, it seems to.
And the dogs.
And the dogs.
Because they don't serve a purpose.
They don't serve the agenda.
So yeah, it's amazing that we have independent people who are going out and trying to save people in Afghanistan, although they shouldn't have to do it.
That's our government's responsibility.
It was their responsibility from the jump before we even executed this botched exit out of Afghanistan, leaving them fully armed with $85 billion worth of our arms and our weapons.
So it just amazes me how quickly horrible things like this can happen.
And because it doesn't serve an agenda, it doesn't serve a narrative, it just moves.
Yeah, it was a pretty bad, bad time of how this administration handled the leaving of Afghanistan.
You know, you could have gotten the people out, you could have gotten all the equipment out, you could have made sure that people were safe, and then you leave.
You know, maybe it took a little bit longer, but you do it the right way, the responsible way, and things are okay.
You know, I am someone who is for leaving.
I agreed with leaving Afghanistan.
It was done.
I mean, it was literally the worst way possible.
You couldn't have done it in a worse way.
No, you couldn't have.
So, yes, there was, I mean, and they just didn't care.
They didn't care.
That's like the kind of malicious part about it, is that, you know, it's like, you know when you have rich people and they kind of just, they spend money frivolously because they don't care about something.
They're like, oh, whatever, I'll just do this.
It doesn't really matter.
This is like how it fell with this administration handling Afghanistan.
Right.
Where they're like, you know.
I don't live in Afghanistan.
These aren't my friends.
These aren't my people.
I don't care.
Whatever.
I'll just do this and it's going to be fine.
It's like they just didn't care.
Right.
There's no attitude of actually having any sort of empathy for people at all.
They thought it was going to make a beautiful photo shoot on the 20th anniversary of 9-11.
And it turned out that it was nothing of the sort.
And to think that that's how people view their position in power is disgusting.
It should continue to be talked about, continue to be called out, especially now that we still have Americans still in Afghanistan and allies still fighting in Afghanistan.
Yeah, and it's funny to note, I mean, something...
Actually, I don't want to bring that up.
I was going to bring something up that I thought could be good, but actually, I'm going to save it for a different thing.
Let's take some of these calls.
If you guys want to get on some of these calls, 1-8-Prager-776.
You can call Amala and I, 1-8-Prager-776.
Let's take Rick.
Who's on the 405 freeway.
Hi, Rick!
So he's probably been stuck in traffic for the last three hours.
I have been.
I'm actually finally home, suffering from kidney stones.
Trying to order your book because of that stellar review.
It was that review that got me to go on Amazon, but I'm getting Dale Carnegie.
That must have you made the name of the book wrong.
Yeah, no.
Dale Carnegie, he's the one who our book is kind of based on.
His is How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Mine is How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies.
You can search Will Witt on Amazon.
You can also go to DennisPrager.com to find the exact copy of my book as well.
Oh, here we are.
I've got you.
Fantastic, man.
Well, I'm going to drop it by the studio for an autograph, but let me tell you, I really kind of disagree with the previous caller when he talked about we need to put in the forefront the minority voices.
You know, where do you put short people on Monday, tall people on Tuesdays, vegetarians on Thursdays, you know, minority Latinos on Friday?
The whole concept of conservatism, in my view, and I know a lot of people probably disagree with me, is that conservatives, it's the Martin Luther King phrase, content of the character.
You know, you're supposed to look at the content of the character.
I really, I look at people, black, white, Latino, Jewish, Christian, those are descriptors.
Yeah, I totally agree, Rick.
I think that's exactly right.
Thanks so much for the call, man, and thanks for ordering the book.
That's a great point, and I actually wholeheartedly agree with you.
And I actually get quite annoyed when some people who are quote-unquote conservative come out all the time and focus on their identity and say, you know, I'm a gay, trans, black...
Disabled conservative.
And it's like, you know, I don't really care about any of that.
What do you believe in?
What are your ideas?
I mean, again, just like you said, Rick, that was perfect, is that those are the things that really matter.
It matters about what you believe in and what you fight for.
I could care less.
As Dennis Praker always says, your skin color or who you want to date or anything like that matters less than your shoe color, you know?
Your shoe color actually means more than those things.
So, because you chose that.
Versus not being able to choose.
Right.
We can't operate the way that the left operates.
When I was working for the left, we would start meetings and do community agreements before we say anything.
And one of those community agreements is that we should let the most oppressed people speak first.
And they speak about black people and brown people and Latinx people and gay people and trans people.
And we should let them speak before we let anybody else have the microphone.
And that's not the way that we should operate as conservatives.
And if we keep down this line of just letting anybody who's conservative speak, we're going to have the most diversity.
We are focused on what your opinion is, and what your merit is, what your character is, and that's really important.
I want people's appearance because I want them to have their masks off so I can actually see what they look like.
That's the appearance that I actually care about.
Rick, that was a good call.
I'm glad that you brought that up.
I'm sorry about the kidney stones.
That's not fun.
My book sadly can't tell you how to get rid of those.
Maybe the sequel to this.
You can order How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, not Influence People.

Now, Will, is this something that you touch on in your book?
I think you do.
It's sort of choosing not to sacrifice comfort, which is what a lot of people do.
They want to lead comfortable lives and being openly conservative and fighting for your values is not necessarily the most comfortable thing you can do.
What is your response to that?
I find...
That the most amazing lives in the world of the people who have lived throughout history, who have had the greatest impact on society and all of the world, have lived dangerous lives.
And living a dangerous life that is not risk-averse is how you are going to have the most amazing life that is going to influence the most amount of people.
This doesn't mean going and bungee jumping every single day or jumping into a pack of wolves to try and live dangerously, get your adrenaline up.
What I mean by living dangerously is putting yourself in situations that might not be so comfortable for you.
Something like if you're not a good public speaker, you going and speaking about the things that you believe in or going and talking to people about ideas that you haven't always felt comfortable talking about.
Being brave, trying a new thing at work or talking to that girl at the bar or whatever it might be.
It is you being brave and getting out of your comfort zone.
People who live comfortable, safe lives lead mediocre lives.
Then what do they do?
This is the left in an essence.
The left tells you that you should live a safe and comfortable life.
You shouldn't leave your home because you're going to die.
You have this safe and comfortable life.
And so then you have an army of mediocre people who never do incredible, creative, amazing, passionate...
Beautiful, fiery things in their lives because they just want to be at the status quo.
And then you have people who go beyond that, amazing people who do those amazing things, and the left gets envious.
They work in a herd mentality.
And so this is how the mediocre work.
The mediocre are the people who don't have that passion for life, want to tell you that you are bad for having this sort of passion and living with some risk and living dangerously.
This is why the left wants safe spaces, so that you can actually discuss these types of ideas.
This is why the left doesn't want you to leave your house and wear a mask everywhere and have everything shut down forever, because they want you to have this safe life.
That should tell you all you need to know when it comes to living a dangerous life.
I believe in unsafe spaces.
Get rid of the safe spaces and have unsafe spaces where all sorts of ideas are discussed and live that dangerous, passionate, fiery life.
Yeah, but look at how easily we were conditioned in doing this.
I mean, like you said, the COVID-19 pandemic was a perfect example of that.
And so many people were so...
So okay and so complacent in staying home all day and watching Netflix and ordering Uber Eats and watching porn and just placating their temptations rather than actually realizing, is this really true?
Is this really what I should be doing?
Is this how I should be leading my life?
And they stayed in their homes just for the sake of being comfortable and safe.
And look where it's gotten us as a nation.
It caused so much destruction, so much harm, and it stifled prosperity for so many families.
Yeah, that's exactly the truth, Amala.
You said it perfectly.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

What's your advice to the Pentagon, Senator, on how to respond to the queries, which will never stop until we have a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute timeline and document supporting a decision tree here?

So now we're going to get into some calls, and we've got this very interesting call that I want to take from Greg in Florida.
Hello, Greg.
Hi, Greg.
Hi, good afternoon.
Hello.
Hello.
I wanted to respond to the comment about people on the left being mediocre because they lack passion and they're afraid of risk-taking.
That is an absurd comment.
The most creative, risk-taking people in our country are the artists, the musicians, the actors, the designers, the creatives who predominantly come from the left.
I think it's an interesting assertion.
I think artistry is great, and I do think the left have sort of...
I do appreciate art.
I do appreciate creativity.
I do appreciate the media.
I think more now than ever, we're seeing that the media and artists are truly cowards.
They all work in this institution that's enshrouded in ideology.
They all back each other up.
Will and I, as I said before on the show, we get so many artists, actors, musicians, who reach out to us and say that they're completely...
So I do take...
I don't know.
I don't know if I agree.
Yeah, thank you for the call, Greg.
I appreciate it.
I think it's a very interesting question.
Just because someone who is an artist or is a musical person or any of those types of things says they are on the left does not mean that they are actually on the left.
You have to understand that these people in positions of great creative power, quote-unquote, are using their platform to push leftist ideas because it is what they are supposed to do.
And let's also not pretend like the people in the mainstream, these mainstream artists, are the most creative people out there.
Exactly.
Like the top 100, like top 40 or top 100 songs in America are basically all made by the same four people.
The same people who write the songs are done by the same like four people.
Music has become so corporatized and commercialized today that, yeah, it is all people on the left and it's all virtue signaling music.
I don't listen to any of that top 40 stuff anymore.
But you go back in time and look at music, these people didn't have these left wing political ideas.
I mean, it's always been a little bit more on the progressive scale when you look at things like the Beatles and such like that.
But it hasn't been like a domination like it is now.
And that's because it is a fake leftism.
It is a fake virtue signaling from these people who are artists.
And then even look at art nowadays.
I mean, art nowadays doesn't represent human beauty at all.
You go back and look at great artists of the past like Monet and Impressionists and amazing artists, and you will find that their political messages are not, you know, about...
Black Lives Matter.
Or about, you know, how many gay people live in their city or anything.
That's not what it's about.
It is about images of beauty.
And that's what music is about.
Music is, and art, and theater, these are the things that transcend.
Transcend politics.
Exactly.
So like what I'm saying before about it being, you know, are the people on the left are mediocre?
That is people who are really on the left, who are saying that, you know, you shouldn't be passionate about things or be risky in your life because then you are leaving a comfort zone that they think you should be a part of as a collective identity.
But in whole...
Art and music and theater and these wonderful expressions of human nature are the most beautiful things because they transcend the political world, the corporate political world that we have now been inscribed into.
Although because of our polarity now and because of how divisive everything is, art has become political and it shouldn't be.
Almost to the point where if you're conservative and you are an artist or you are interested in any of these fields, you're not even able to enter them anymore.
And it's really difficult.
I mean, I have a personal example here.
Every single Monday on my Instagram, I do a stream where I go on and I just play music for the people who want to listen.
It's not political at all.
We don't talk ideology.
We don't talk legislation.
We don't talk politicians.
Instagram banned me from being able to do that.
Why?
Because they don't like my political opinions.
So our art fields, our media, a theater, anything that has to do with entertainment is just enshrouded with leftism right now, and that's a problem.
Oscar Wilde, who's one of my favorite authors, has a quote, all art is quite useless.
It's at the end of his introduction to A Picture of Dorian Gray, which is my favorite book of all time.
The reason why he says all art is quite useless is because he is making the point that when an artist puts himself into the art, then the art is ruined and it is made about the artist itself and not about the piece of art.
And that art should exist, art, music, these types of things, exist for the sake of them existing, not to prove a political message.
I think Nietzsche was someone who also agreed with the same concept of beauty, of this, you know, you're making beautiful things and art for the sake of making.
I think it's really important to note that this is the reasoning for these things that transcend political boundaries.
And we have modern thinkers who think the same thing.
Look at Jordan Peterson who says you should never sign yourself on to an ideology.
Once you've done that, you've sold yourself away.
And that's what so many artists have done today.
And that should never be the case.
Sign yourself on to your ideas, your creativity, your morals, your values.
Never sign yourself on to a particular set of ideology.
Let's take Gary real quick.
Gary in Redondo Beach.
Hi, Gary.

But I surpassed that goal and became a corporate CEO. We'll all be able to say, free at last!

And I want him to be here with me.

We all had something in common.
A lot of us were miserable.
We had no fathers in our lives.
This is how I began the life of crime.
I desired to have a father who would tell me that what I did was wrong.

This is why we're fighting for the soul of America.
You should be able to share ideas without fear of being fired from your job or shouted down.
You are not to be heard.
This is one of the few things we have no precedent for in the United States.
You have the right to remain silent.
Look.
You have the right to remain silent.
You have the right to remain silent.
Happy tea time.

I almost cried this morning.
You almost cried this morning.
It's a big thing.
For a year, I've been putting in work on this book, writing it and doing all this.
And then the day comes and I'm just getting overwhelmed.
I'm listening to Kanye West on the way to the radio station.
It's like an overwhelming feeling of like, wow, all of the work that I did and all of the work that PragerU did and all these people who have helped me and all the people who have supported me during this time.
I mean, truly, it teared me up.
I was sitting there listening to Kanye West crying a little bit.
It's a lot.
Because of how important this was to me.
Yeah, when you put in the work to something and then it finally pulls through, it's an amazing feeling.
It was.
No, it...
Yeah.
It truly was, you know.
I just...
I never thought that when I was in college, my freshman year of college, when I was flunking out and hating the things I was studying and not knowing what to do with my life and having no idea what was right and wrong, what was up and down, that I would then be at a point in about six years that I am now of putting that I would then be at a point in about six years that I am now of putting out a national book and having a show with a very accomplished other
And having PragerU be so incredible and all of that, working with Dennis Prager, I mean, it's all a dream come true and I get to do it because I stand up for these values.
And Amala gets to do it because she is brave.
When you are brave, you will find that your life gets better.
Your life gets better in every single way when you are not living by lies and you are putting down.
Just keep fighting.
Stand up.
Don't be afraid to do it because there's so many people who are afraid.
And if you can be the one person that stands up and does it, you will influence so many people.
It's what we try to do every day.
It's what we're doing at PragerU.
It's what Will is doing with his new book, How to Win Friends and Influence Enemies, which you can buy today.
