Alright, I'm live.
Hi everybody, Dennis Prager here.
I brought you some good news yesterday.
Good news is needed, since the country is in a civil war, and massive forces of pure destruction are very powerful in this country.
Every single institution I can think of, major institution.
From medical to academic and to sports has been corrupted, has been largely ruined, in fact.
So the good news is that the number of Americans homeschooling their children, that means taking their children out of regular schools, whether private or public.
I don't know why everybody always says public schools, the private schools.
Are just as damaging to your child, and in some cases even more so.
Not to mention the amount of money you're paying to have your child damaged.
And I mean damaged.
I never exaggerate.
Ever.
I consider it a sin.
That's why I've been on radio for 38 years.
I may say something mistaken.
Which, by the way, I did yesterday.
I said something mistaken.
I said that it was Guerrero.
Jean, is that her first name?
Jean Guerrero at the L.A. Times, who said that Larry Elder is the black face of white supremacy when she is the one, she's just as guilty of smearing and lying, but she didn't say that specific one.
Another L.A. Times columnist did.
What was her name?
Erica D. Smith, right?
Yes.
The fact that she is still allowed to publish at the LA Times only speaks about the LA Times.
But Guerrero is the one who said, Larry twists facts and gave no example.
So it's a pure lie about Larry.
The other one is, that is the level to which they stoop.
George Soros just gave a million dollars to the Newsom campaign.
Did you hear that?
Yeah, I just heard that this morning.
He is a pure diabolical force.
It is an amazing thing to see that in one person.
I wrote about him many, many years ago.
You could see it on the Internet when it was not fashionable to describe what a nefarious force in society the man is.
It is almost impossible to know what positive he stands for.
But I don't know what positive the left stands for.
You just destroy.
When I get to the homeschooling in a moment, last night I interviewed, at a fundraiser for PragerU, I interviewed a North Korean woman who just got her degree at Columbia University, escaped the large concentration camp known as North Korea.
And it was riveting, just riveting.
And she comes to America.
It's very rare.
She said, I think, only 200 people since the...
Since the Korean War, have come to the U.S. from North Korea.
And she says at Columbia, she heard America attacked more than she did in North Korea.
I believe her.
She's befuddled that people speak of being oppressed in this country.
They literally don't know what oppression is.
Blacks are oppressed.
Women are oppressed.
Hispanics are oppressed.
Asians are oppressed.
Every non-white male is oppressed.
The best thing you could do is take your kids out of a school and school them outside of the schooling process.
Unless you have a wonderful school.
If you have a wonderful school, then this doesn't apply.
But the number of schools that actually teach facts...
That aren't there to indoctrinate your children, that actually call your children boys and girls.
You know how many schools do not allow that?
They want the teachers to call their students students because they don't believe in a binary notion of sexual identity.
The best thing you can do, you know it, but something stops you, which is what I want to talk about this hour.
I want to address grandparents.
A lot of grandparents have more money than their children.
First of all, they have almost no expenses compared to the children.
There's a very good chance that their mortgage is paid off.
They certainly don't have tuition for their children.
They don't have room and board for their children, unless your child's in Antifa and lives in your basement.
And so they don't have these expenses.
And they have savings.
Now, if you have money in your will for your children, may I respectfully suggest that it would do them infinitely more good if you said, I will defray the costs of homeschooling.
Whatever that means.
It might mean that if one parent has to work outside the home less, You will supplement their income, whatever it might mean.
The help you could offer in saving America and saving your grandchildren?
Very few grandparents in American history have had the chance to save their grandchildren, as you do.
It's a puzzle to me, and I'm devoting the hour to this subject.
What stops you?
Please call.
I need to hear this.
I'm not even sure I'll have a solution.
But we need to hear what stops you from homeschooling your children.
Now, if you believe that your child's school is doing a wonderful job, That it really is history, that the United States was founded in 1619, and the American Revolution in order to preserve slavery, that that was the reason to rebel against Britain.
If you believe that, if you believe it's a good thing for children to have a man in a drag come in for a drag queen story hour, if you believe that...
If the United States is to be seen through the lens of oppressor and oppressed, then of course you want to keep your kid in school.
But if you don't believe that, and you want your kid to actually be happy and non-jaded and respectful and kinder and committed to truth, You want to get your kid out of that school as soon as possible.
Oh, not to mention, you don't want your kid to wear a mask all day.
In a completely unscientifically based policy that just hurts children.
So here is my question to you.
What stops you from homeschooling your children?
Not only will I not argue with you, Asking you to tell everybody so that we can address the issue.
Nothing Americans can do would help this country as much as taking their kids out of the schools of America.
Nothing.
It can be done tomorrow and it would shake up society.
The teachers unions have only one, well, I have two interests.
Ruining the country.
And making money.
They have no other interest.
The last interest of teachers' unions are students.
The last.
They have contempt for your children.
Most teachers have contempt for your children.
Some don't.
You know it's true.
It's painfully true.
But you know it's true.
What was the head of the L.A. Teachers Union?
We quoted her from what magazine?
L.A. Magazine, yeah.
In which she said, oh, it was a good thing what happened last year to your kids.
They learned resilience, and they learned the difference between a riot and a protest, and they learned the words insurrection and coup.
This is the head of the L.A. Teachers Union.
There was literally nothing to the left of the L.A. Teachers Union.
Nothing.
I don't know what position they would be other than the nationalization of all private property and entrepreneurship in the country.
That's the only position left.
But if they had the power, they would probably do that as well.
You send me an article, I'm looking at...
By the way...
You call in now, 1-8 Prager-776.
What prevents you?
Oh, I have one other question for you to call in on.
If you were hesitant and did finally pull the plug on the school that your child goes to, how did it turn out?
That's the other side of the question.
This is the most important subject right now.
Closing down most of America's schools.
They are ruining your children and this country.
It's a pretty big topic.
1-8 Prager 776 Trending now on the Hugh Hewitt Show.
Jen Psaki, the pressure is getting to her, questioned by Peter Doocy, a famous clip already, cut number 11. Does the president have a sense that most of the criticism is not of leaving Afghanistan, it's the way that he has ordered it to happen, by pulling the troops before getting these Americans who are now stranded?
Does he have a sense of that?
First of all, I think it's irresponsible to say Americans are stranded.
They are not.
We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home.
We are in touch with them via phone, via text, via email, via any way that we can possibly reach Americans.
Jake Tapper thinks they're stranded on CNN cut number four.
Look, I understand.
That people are working long hours in the White House, the National Security Council, State Department, Pentagon, and over in Kabul to get Americans out of that country.
And I understand the White House wanting to reassure the nation that all Americans will ultimately be evacuated, but there are no doubt Americans...
Who feel stranded in Afghanistan right now?
Of course there are.
It's absurd for the White House, and it tells you something about Joe Biden.
Britt Hume was on with our friend Guy Benson on his radio show yesterday, said this, cut number one.
But anybody who ever heard him speak for any length of time could tell this guy, this was not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
And, you know, he could talk forever and was famous for it.
But you never had the sense that he was terribly smart.
And on top of that, now he's manifestly senile.
And between those two things, this is a man with very, very severe limitations, who is well too old, in my opinion, to be the President of the United States.
Don't you get tired of commercials screaming at you to buy gold now with inflated promises on future values?
In an unregulated industry, you need honest, real experts to give you solid advice to protect your wealth and top picks on the best coins in bullion.
Based on real-time data and historical trends.
For example, as environmental policy becomes a hot topic, one precious metal that's been significantly undervalued for years is potentially set to surge.
Nick Grovich, owner of Amfed Coin and Bullion, has long recommended this precious metal.
Up to 600,000 ounces of this rare metal will be needed by 2030 to produce green hydrogen.
Nick is doubling down on this pick, and you should too.
Call Nick at AmFedCoin and Bullion to find out more.
I've been friends with Nick for years, and he's my go-to guy when it comes to coins and bullion.

American federal.com not one mistake trending now Larry older show I want you to understand that we're dealing with wokesters and the White House where the rest of the world is trying to build warriors Our American soldiers have no fault of their own.
No fault of their own.
Our leadership is...
We just have bad leadership.
It's as simple as that.
And our leadership is trying to build wokesters while the rest of the world is trying to build warriors.

I'd like to remind you of a magnificent organization fighting for small business in America.
Wasn't there a time where Chambers of Commerce fought for small businesses?
Was I born yet?
That we would need an organization to support small business in America, but we do.
You know how, obviously, how highly I regard.
PragerU for obvious reasons.
The obvious being the good it does and that it's named after me.
But that's how highly I regard Job Creators Network.
It's not an ad for PragerU.
This is an ad for Job Creators Network.

If you live in or around Tampa and Atlanta, get your tickets.
With speakers, you won't want to miss.
JCNBustour.com So, have you taken your kids out of school?
Here's my question.
What stops you?
This is critical to address.
You know the damage, and I mean damage.
I don't mean they're useless.
If schools were useless, that's not the same as damaging.
They're damaging.
Double the rate in the United States over the last year.
Double the rate.
It's gone to, I think, 11%.
That's a lot.
One out of ten homes has taken their kids out of school.
It needs to be nine out of ten homes.
Teachers unions only care about money.
And when you take your kid out of school, that's less money for the...
This utterly malevolent force in society known as teachers' unions.
Isn't that sad?
Think about it.
What's more noble than teaching?
Theoretically.
That's the point.
Alright.
Matt, Riverside, California.
Hello.
Hello, Dennis.
Hi.
It's an honor.
Thank you.
Can you hear me?
I do.
Two daughters out of, well, we're not getting the choice to pull our two daughters out of public school here in Riverside last March, March of 2020. So I tried to do the Zoom thing.
I gave it about a week.
It wasn't working out.
They weren't learning anything.
So then I did homeschooling.
And that went until about last spring.
And I got to admit, I just got lazy.
I went from maybe three, four hours a day teaching them myself math history, specifically U.S. history.
and geography and over time I just kind of did it less and less like it went to two hours and then an hour and a half and then maybe a couple hours a week so I blame myself and then we decided my wife and I decided to put them in a local Catholic school and we enrolled them over the summer and they started about three weeks ago we so far so good we seem pleased with that I think they're getting a better education than they were for me and From what I can see,
there's no issues with critical race theory or oppressiveness or America is bad, that sort of thing.
I mean, it is a Catholic school, but I have heard from people to be careful because private schools can have issues as well.
And I went to a board meeting of the school just the other night because I thought, you know, the more involved I am, the better.
And the discussion was not so much curriculum, but just nuts and bolts issues involving the school.
But still, I felt like, okay, I'm doing as much as I can by putting them in a Catholic school and also being hands-on with what's going on with that school.
Yes, I think that's very important.
So let me react.
First, you said that private schools often have the same issues.
I say that every time.
I don't know why.
People think private schools are one bit better than public schools.
Number two, there's zero guarantee that a Catholic school or a Jewish school will not be woke.
Don't we know of a couple, what is it, in Philadelphia?
They gave a million dollars to the Catholic school and they want it back because the school has been...
Is it in Florida?
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think it's Florida.
So, Catholic schools run the gamut of just as contemptuous of America and liberty as the public school or other secular private schools to excellent.
So you have to be very careful what Catholic school you send your kids to.
As regards the...
Issue of how much time he was willing to spend teaching his kids.
This is the issue that needs to be addressed because that is a big reason people don't do it.
They're not going to teach their kids geometry, let alone geometry, history, grammar, literature for four hours a day.
I mean, we have to be realistic.
Most parents are not prepared to do that, are not even capable of doing it.
But there are answers.
You don't have to be the teacher.
And that's what I want to address for those of you who have gone into homeschooling.
Okay.
All right.
So thank you, Matt.
Let me clear up a line there because I want to talk to as many people as possible.
Kathy in Chippewa, Wisconsin.
Hi, Kathy.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh.
It's really quiet.
If it's that quiet, one really doesn't have much hope.
All right, Minneapolis and Chris.
Hello, Chris.
Hey, Dennis.
Great to talk to you.
Thank you.
So we actually, we're a little farther down the road than most people you're talking to.
Our kids are grown, and we started homeschooling them in the early 2000s.
And not primarily because of values, but because of our son's learning style, they just weren't...
We weren't willing to teach him, even though he tested the highest in his class for the high-potential testing.
They were putting him in reading groups, and so we just had to decide, do we want to, you know, continue to pour all our time into the schools or consider homeschooling?
Because we talked to everybody, and we just didn't want to lose him.
So my wife decided that she would give up her $100,000 plus year job as a consultant to stay at home with the kids and homeschool them rather than going back to work.
Wow.
I want to talk about that.
back in a moment trending and now on the Hugh Hewitt show I think this is a crisis that we haven't faced since 9/11 I I think it's worse than 9-11 because we ran towards the danger and tried to save people.
Then now we're abandoning them.
Is the president going to stick with this?
It seems like the president is doubling down.
And what is shocking to me, we had a brief with Secretary Blinken.
Secretary Austin, General Milley, etc.
And there was very strong bipartisan pushback on the August 31st deadline.
In fact, some of the strongest statements pushing back on that came from my Democratic colleagues, particularly those who are veterans, who've served in Afghanistan in a uniform in other parts of the world, were very Forceful in telling the administration to their face that this is a disaster.
And I think there is a recognition by the administration that we can't get all of our people, let alone the thousands of SIV applicants, out.
And yet a few hours later...
The President of the United States went on TV and doubled down on the August 31st deadline, which is completely arbitrary, or let me rather say is solely intended to get us out before September 11th, 2021. And as we've discussed before,
Hugh, whoever in the White House decided it would be a good idea to try and get everyone out by September 11th, 2021, and thinking that that would be some positive PR win for the United States should be fired, because that's a huge, huge propaganda win for the Taliban.
And as far as I'm concerned, if I may, as a former insider, the key question is going to be personnel.
We need to build the bench that helps staff you and doesn't subvert you.
What are your plans?
What would the second term look like?
And who's going to build that bench for you, sir?
Well, first of all, for you listeners, you did a fantastic job.
You were terrific.
I deal with you a lot.
And I dealt with you after you went out and made a fortune.
I hope you're making a fortune anyway, but I think you are based on your ratings.
But I dealt with you a lot, and that's why I do your show, and I don't do a lot of other shows.
I do people that I respect and people that have been fair, and you've been, really, I congratulate you.
But you were very important, and the great job that you did, you have a knowledge.
I heard the word strategist mentioned in the opening that you were a strategist, and that's really what Biden needs.
He needs somebody to help him, because our country is embarrassed.
Our country has never been embarrassed like they are right now.
In the speech in Alabama where we had a massive crowd, they say 68,000 people showed up in the rain.
It was rain and thunder.
And we put up, I put up, I had the idea the morning of, this was Saturday, the morning of, put up the general patent, the opening.
We'll see you next time.
We'll see you next time.
We'll see you next time.
I'm Dennis Prager, devoting the hour to a subject that does not have anything that can be said to be more important.
There may be things equal to it, but there's nothing more important.
Take your kids out of most American schools, or your kid will likely be ruined.
Certainly not helped.
The fastest way in which we can begin to undo the damage of the left to this country and its children.
So the question is, what prevents you from homeschooling your child?
Certainly the last call might serve to prevent some people from doing it.
I don't think you need to be your four-hour-a-day teacher of your children of every subject.
There are homeschool groups where others do the teaching.
Homeschool doesn't mean that your kid is at home all day, necessarily.
The homeschool kids that I know not only were not home every day, they were often in England or Africa or somewhere else on some trip.
Learning about the world.
Okay, let me take more calls.
This is really important.
Los Angeles, Victoria, hello.
Yes, hi, Dennis.
It's a pleasure to talk to you.
We've met in the accidental college.
My husband finished law school and you had a speech there, so it was a pleasure seeing you.
My kids, actually my two-second background, I'm coming from Ukraine, so everything is very academic and my background is very strong on maps.
When I started school, see the kids going to school, everything now is play-based.
And for me, it's kind of not natural.
And then when I see what they're teaching, it's very sickening.
So one of the kids went to Jewish school, preschool, and she came out from kindergarten class from there, knowing math of the first grade and knowing how to read.
And she went to elementary school in Los Angeles, and she was not challenged there at all.
She was telling me after the second or third grade, Mommy, I'm bored.
And I didn't know what to do about it, so I kind of went along with the school, tried to talk to the teachers, and they said, oh, you can go online and teach them some things.
And I said, but you have to give her a little bit, you know, something to take it home.
She doesn't mind doing it as long as you kind of give it to her and say you can do greater.
Nobody cared to do that.
Then she went to middle school, and she was bullied, so I took her out of school for a couple weeks, but I wasn't ready to homeschool her.
She was begging me to homeschool.
She was saying, kids are very mean.
Teachers don't care.
They're saying, you're lucky that we've been teaching you for the salary that we're getting paid.
And gay and lesbian clubs on the breaks, and that's a middle school, so she's telling me, Mommy, what kind of school when the kids are 11 years old, giving this kind of clubs?
She was very uncomfortable with this kind of stuff, but she was depressed during the time when they were studying at home last year.
I put her back to school because I thought at least she has a chance to see her friends and get a little bit better.
But she went back to school this year and she's saying they have murals in the middle school about male, female, transgender, bisexual, whatever sexual, I don't even know, there are a bunch of that signs.
And it's literally colored on the walls of the school.
It's not just the painting there.
It's engraved there.
And she goes to English class and there's a sign saying that we're welcome all the...
You're free to be here if you're transgender, if you're lesbian, whatever, instead of giving the sign of Shakespeare or some kind of something with the English.
This is just very disturbing.
So she's asking me to take her out of school, and I'm worried that she's super smart.
She literally could go to Harvard because she's that smart.
And I'm worried that if I homeschool, even if she can do homeschooling at home and studying at home, I'm worried about the mental state.
That she's kind of alone, and I haven't done ever homeschooling myself, so I'm very much in the school background, so I don't know how to do it.
So what did you end up doing?
Right now, she's back to middle school with the mask and weekly swaps, so she is back in school right now, but I'm basically 99% getting her out.
I'm just looking for the right way of doing it.
Okay, all right.
It's a very...
I think the most important thing was for people to hear the signs up in her class in middle school about transgender and so on.
The issue was not pro or anti-transgender.
The issue was what the hell is a classroom dedicated to the subject of changing your sex.
She's not going to be alone if she's homeschooled.
There are so many homeschool others, but that's why I needed to hear that.
People are afraid of how much time do I have to do, how much money do I have to give up, and will my kid be alone?
Your kid won't be alone.
Okay.
Relief Factor.
Relief Factor is one of the most amazing products I've ever advertised.
There's nothing like it that I am aware of.
That's why it's so successful.
If you have joint or muscle pain, they have a product that works so fast that they tell you if it doesn't work in just three weeks, it probably won't work.
So they give you a three-week price.
If it doesn't work, you cancel your order.
For $19.95 plus shipping, you can try it for three weeks.
Take it as directed.
It's very important.
And it works.
800-500-8384 And as far as I'm concerned,
if I may, as a former insider, the key question is going to be personnel.
We need to build the bench that helps staff you and doesn't subvert you.

And we put up, I put up, I had the idea the morning of, this was Saturday, the morning of, put up the General Patton, the opening monologue that he does in the movie Patton, which I don't know if it got the Academy Award or very close.
And I think George E. Scott did get the Academy Award.
But we put up the opening monologue.
And I said, that is not a woke general, but it's a general that knows how to win.
And we have guys that are more interested in things that have nothing to do with our military.
It's really what's going on now is crazy.
with our whole country, with our whole country.
What you're doing now to our country is absolutely frightening. - I would say that this is now on track, Peter, to be the largest airlift in US history.
And that is bringing American citizens out.
It is bringing our Afghan partners out.
It is bringing allies out.
So, no, I would not say that is anything but a success.
As the kids would say, OMG. Yeah, we have an extensive vetting process.
Sure we do.
I've been to the border, lady.
No, you don't.
No, you don't.
But again, back to Kamala Harris.
There she is trying to escape.
We'll see you next time.
All right, everybody.
Dennis Prager with you.
The best thing most Americans can do to fix this country, to fight back at the corrosive influence of the left, is to take your kids out of school and homeschool them.
Or find a school that actually does teach rather than indoctrinate hate.
That's what they do.
They learn to hate.
Do you understand that?
They learn the worst thing possible.
They learn to be ingrate.
They learn to be victims if they're not white, and they learn lies about whites.
Whites, whites, whites, whites.
It's so absurd.
Do they learn about white contributions to medicine?
Do they learn about the fact that it was Europeans who abolished slavery before Africans did or before Asians did?
Do they learn that?
No, it's all make-believe lies, the anti-white curriculum.
There's no reason to divide the world by race.
You divide the world by achievement.
The belief that race is important is in itself racism.
That's among the purest forms of it.
Columbia University had separate graduation exercises last year for blacks, for whites.
For Hispanics, for Asians, for gays, for transgender.
Can you imagine that?
Separate graduations?
And they say that conservatives are divisive?
It's part of the big lies of the left.
Get your kids out of the school.
All right, Wendy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Hello.
Hi, Mr. Prager.
I just wanted to offer another option for homeschoolers.
I'm involved in what is called a tutorial service, and the way it works is that it's a school for homeschoolers, and I teach at this little school, and basically it's through a church.
It's a ministry of a church, and we have classes two days a week, and then the other three days...
The students are working on what their teachers or their parents have given them to do.
You can take as many classes as, you know, as you want to with us.
And the teachers, what's interesting is, a lot of the teachers are homeschool mothers who, you know, and it's a very educated group.
You know, I mean, I'm an attorney, people who have doctorate degrees, you know, and so...
So forgive me, does this solve the problem of the parent who isn't prepared to devote four hours a day?
Yes, it does.
It does solve that problem.
That's why I called, because, for instance, I teach high schoolers, and a lot of homeschool parents, once they get past 8th grade, they're uncomfortable with high school, of course.
I teach English and writing.
That's one of my classes.
And in the other classes, I'm teaching American government and the Constitution.
Do they gather at your home?
Is it via Zoom?
How do they do it?
No, it's in person.
Oh.
But we did, during COVID, we did switch over to Zoom.
Right, okay.
But COVID aside, so they are with other kids?
Absolutely.
And so the parents are in effect...
The school does social events?
They do social events?
Right.
I know that.
Exactly.
So the parents are in effect sending their kids to school, but it's a homeschool they're sending their kids to.
Yes, and of course, you know, you don't have to ascribe to this, but of course we teach a biblical worldview that is in accordance with the line of the church.
You don't, you know, anybody can come to it.
But, you know, you have to understand the...
No, no, where it's coming from.
I get it.
But I am sure that every city has this and that there would be a secular equivalent or religious-based.
I have zero problem with the religious-based, even if it's not my religion.
I don't see why that's an issue for my child.
I am Jewish.
I am a religious Jew.
I would rather my child have that tutorial service.
I care about my child's values.
I'll handle the theology at home.
I have more in common with a Christian conservative than with a radical Jew.
And a Christian has more in common with a Jewish conservative than with a radical Christian.
I mean, this is so obvious as to not be even controversial.
And, by the way, it's one of the only things where left and right can agree.
Whom do you have the most in common with?
Members of your own religion or members of your own values?
Right?
It's about as clear as it gets.
Well, I was knocked off AP here, which is, shall we say, not a shock.
But it is a nuisance.
I can't take calls now, unfortunately, my friends.
Sherlyn, you'll just have to pick a nice call and tell me who it is, because I can't.
It's very sad.
Emily in Maryville, Tennessee, hello.
Hello, Dennis, how are you?
I'm well, thank you.
Oh, wonderful.
So my husband and I were both homeschooled, and...
I feel that the greatest gift that my parents gave me in homeschooling me is how to teach myself.
Yeah, and I try to think of homeschooling as kind of a launch pad for living life.
We are homeschooling our children now.
We're really just getting started.
Our oldest is only five.
And actually last year we moved from Oregon to Tennessee.
We left all our family and we're starting new here.
So it's worked out.
Yes, gratefully we couldn't be happier to be here.
Yes, that I believe.
Oregon to Tennessee is like going from the Iron Curtain to Liberty.
Any move from the West Coast is.

Donald Trump really, really, really wanted to help America.
Joe Biden does not.
That's Biden and that's Afghanistan and that's the conservatives.
Now Biden...
Which we would not have if we had a Republican president.
Yes, every one of you businesses in America, you must not allow people who are not vaccinated, even if they've had COVID, and are probably in a better medical position not to transmit or get the disease.
Everybody has to get a vaccination.
We've been lying to you, we on the left, since Roe v.
Wade.
People should, the government should not interfere with our bodies.
It has been a total lie on the part of the left.
It was a bull-ass excuse to defend abortion at any time of pregnancy.

You have to get your kids out of school.
You have to.
By the way, increasingly, people don't give a damn if your kid went to college, let alone what college your kid went to.
I would say Harvard and Stanford, MIT continue to have prestige.
Nothing else does.
When I hear a kid went to Yale, I assume he's a fool.
I know that there are people who go to Yale who were not fools.
They've somehow, either they were inebriated for four years, or they had very strong convictions in the other direction.
But I assume Yale will make you stupid.
Look at the video of Yale students cursing their professors.
It went viral.
All right, let's see.
Let's take a negative call just so you'll know I take everything that comes in.
Mike in Chicago, hello.
Hey, how are you?
This is such an honor to speak with you.
I really appreciate you taking my call.
I was homeschooled, this was back in the 90s.
All the homeschoolers I knew were kids who were very gifted and were, you know, public school or even private.
slowing down their academic achievement but it seems I'm one of five kids and my parents kind of lost the vision and I'm the only one of my siblings that has even a high school diploma or actually I went back to get my GED and two of my siblings have one of five kids the other six and they're headed down the same road where you know once they get to be high school age They're just kind of on their own,
and it's going to work in that fast food place.
So what happened?
Your parents sort of lost interest in the homeschooling project?
Yeah, they sort of lost interest.
They weren't going to any networking.
I don't know if there was a whole lot of that back in the 90s.
All right, all right.
I've got to let you go because of time.
But yes, look, it can go wrong.
But the odds are overwhelmingly good that homeschooling will work, and the odds are overwhelming in the opposite direction at a regular school.
It will hurt your child, their values, their innocence, their love of this country, and often their love of you.

You know, General McMaster and Secretary Esper are blaming you for the Doha agreement.
They're saying that you empowered them.
What do you make of these criticisms from General McMaster, who was your second national security advisor, and Secretary Esper?
Yeah.
These are two guys.
You know, I had great people in my administration, but those two were stiffs.
McMaster was not a smart guy.
All he liked doing was talking to the press, and I rarely listened to him, and then ultimately fired him.
And Jesper, I called him Jesper because all he did was say yes.
Jesper was like a little boy.
All he did was say yes.
No matter what you asked him, he was a lightweight.
And honestly, should not have been in that position.
We were rushed because there was a difficulty with a good man who was in there prior to him.
He had some family difficulty.
And I gave Jesper a try.
And put him in there for a short period of time.
He didn't have what it takes.
The men and women, the people within the military, did not respect him.
And McMaster, all he did was like to write things and write books and complain, and he wasn't a smart person.
Just so you understand, they're complaining about the agreement that I just talked about with you, which had strong conditions.
The reason, as an example, I wanted to be out as soon as possible.
We had to get out strong with all our equipment and no death.
The reason nobody was killed in the last 18 months was because of what we did.
Beyond the agreement was because of the relationship I developed with the leaders, and in particular with Abdul.

Britt Hume was on with our friend Guy Benson on his radio show yesterday, said this is cut number one.

I outwitted the misleading announcement.
Okay, everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
Welcome to the show.
I am honored.
Don't always say that.
To have Scott Atlas on.
Former Professor Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford Medical School.
Stanford University Medical Center, to be precise, healthcare advisor in the Trump administration, and now a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford.
Dr. Atlas, welcome to the Dennis Prager Show.
Nice to be here.
Thanks for having me.
Where are you right now?
In Northern California?
Yeah, I'm in Palo Alto.
Right.
So, I'd like to begin with your story, and then we'll go to COVID. So, you were appointed...
During the Trump administration, to what position?
I was appointed as what was called Special Advisor to the President, and I was also then on the White House Coronavirus Task Force, and I came there at the beginning of August of 2020, and I left at the end of November 2020. So, just three months.
Four months.
And it seemed like, you know...
Twelve years.
Multiples of that.
Yeah, exactly.
So why were you chosen?
I was chosen because I was asked by the White House to help because I am a health policy scholar.
I have been in health policy for 17 years at Stanford University.
And I have a, prior to that, I have a, well, I'm concurrent, actually, a 25-year history of academic medicine, analyzing complicated diseases and figuring out what to do with them as the head of neuroradiology.
But I was asked because I'm a health policy expert.
And there were no health policy experts on the task force, by the way.
There were people trained in virology.
But, you know, that's a narrow view of what to do.
That's one part of what to do in a pandemic.
The idea of a pandemic management is to figure out what to do to minimize the damage, and the damages are not just from that single virus that we now and we knew then, and that's why I came in, and that's why I was doing work on it.
The damages are from all the things that are impacted.
By the policies that are directed at managing that single virus.
Right.
Well, my listeners are used to hearing that because one of my mottos in life is, as soon as you ask what is the price, you have left the left.
Well, this is all common sense.
Yeah, common sense, correct.
It is very obvious.
It was always very obvious, but it was totally ignored and still is in our country.
Right.
All right.
We're going to get to that.
I want to stay with you.
So why are you no longer affiliated with Stanford Medical School?
Oh, well, I left Stanford Medical School after about 14 years as chief of neuroradiology and professor in the medical school back about a decade ago.
Full-time, I quit.
I was struggling two jobs.
I was full-time in the medical school, and I was also working in the policy institute called Hoover Institution, and I had two offices, and it was very difficult, and I'm not a dilettante.
I don't dabble in things, and I had a long career in medicine.
I was a visiting professor all over the world, including basically every top medical school in the United States.
I have many accolades.
I'm not going to go into that, but the point is that I came to Stanford in 1998, but immediately started working on health policy because that was the era of managed care and its impact on technology-based medicine, which is what I do.
And medical innovation was a concern.
I did research on that.
I started working at Hoover Institution on these issues.
Single-payer health care became a topic of conversation.
Obamacare became a topic of conversation before it was even instituted.
I started working more and more on health policy.
I was advising candidates.
I was testifying in front of Congress.
I was talking to the public.
I had sort of done everything I wanted to do in my medical school appointment, and I thought, okay, I like new things and new challenges, and it's a lot more important to do things in my view.
There was nobody at the table talking about healthcare reform that knew anything about practicing medicine.
In a general sense, almost everyone was a health economist.
They didn't understand.
They were very smart.
They knew a lot.
They know a lot.
I work with them.
They didn't understand how medical care was practiced.
They didn't understand what sick patients, how much we rely on things like expensive technology, like MRI, which is my area, and other things, and medical devices.
They didn't understand how to talk about health care outcomes.
In the diseases, that's what's important in medical care, one of the many things, but it's very important.
So I left, quit the medical school in 2012 completely, even though I was already working at Hoover.
In 2012, I said, listen, I've done everything I can in medicine.
I was offered an endowed position.
That means a named, funded, full-time, tenure-equivalent position at Hoover to go full-time if I wanted to do it.
And I want to do things in a very serious way.
So in the 2000s, I left a medical school.
I got you.
They asked me to stay 50-50, 20-80, whatever it was.
I decided I'm going to devote myself to health care policy completely.
All right.
So now I know and people know your background, which is obviously esteemed, which is one of the reasons.
You're on my show right now, but the biggest reason is you're a dissenter.
And I'd like to try to understand chronologically, because you've been quite criticized, even attacked by the left in America.
Did that emanate primarily from the fact that you were in the last administration?
In the Trump administration, is that the primary cause of the attacks on you?
I think that's obvious.
And I'll explain why, if I may.
I was working on this pandemic since February, March 2020. And I outline this whole process in my book that's forthcoming that's available.
I'm sorry, but it just reminded me of this, which is called The Plague Upon Our House.
When is it coming out?
It's available now for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes& Noble, at least until it's banned, because the truth needs to be told about what happened inside, what the people on the task force actually knew and said.
And the level of confidence and the things that I saw are shocking and the American people need to know.
And it also goes through the facts about COVID and about what I said, because the record has to be set straight because this is of historical interest.
And we're living in an era of a lot of distortion and censorship.
So, your question is, why was I attacked?
Let me put it this way.
I've said the exact same things verbatim since last March, April, May of 2020, and then subsequently when I entered to help the President, to help the country in the biggest healthcare crisis in a century, which anyone should do if they're asked by the President of the United States.
And if you don't, there's something wrong with you.
In a serious way, I think.
You have to look yourself in the mirror, no matter who the president is, if you're not going to help.
Regardless of that, I said verbatim and was in consultation with some of the world's top epidemiologists and medical scientists, and including two at Stanford, John Ioannidis and Jay Bhattacharya.
We said the exact same things.
We said them almost verbatim.
I spoke to these guys and still do almost every day.
Every other day, as I do to other people across the country, Jay Bhattacharya, Johnny Anides, and I are all medical scientists at Stanford.
We all said the same things.
We all took some heat because we dissented from the accepted narrative.
Give an example of one dissent.
Sure.
We said that the lockdowns were the wrong policy.
We said that the lockdowns were destructive because their single-minded focus on COVID-19 Was not only failing to protect the elderly, because the elderly were dying, and they weren't working to protect the elderly, the lockdowns, but they were locking down all the healthy people,
and that meant stopping medical care that was important, closing schools, closing businesses, massive economic harm, massive destruction of lower-income families, Sacrificing our children, schools, people who are very low risk, and this not only did not protect elderly, it destroyed people, it killed people.
Yeah, stay there, that's right.
That is why he's a courageous scientist.

Mr. President, the lying legacy media is supporting the Biden administration narrative that this is your plan, this is what you would have done.
It is clear you've just communicated you had a conditions-based withdrawal plan you would have kept, Bagram.
What would you be doing right now if you were the commander-in-chief?
If one U.S. citizen were hurt in Afghanistan, what would your response be and how would you use our special forces?
Well, we're in a much worse position right now than we were.
When I had it, it was absolutely, we had it so locked down, we would have been able to leave so easily.
And so, I mean, it would have just been a beautiful process.
And then the only question was probably you bombed the bases, because why should we give those bases to others?
So we would bomb the hell out of the bases, the various bases other than Bagram, which we would have kept.
But if you think about it, How can it be worse?
So now it's a much more difficult position because they have thousands of hostages, American hostages.
You know, Jimmy Carter had a small number of hostages.
Now they have thousands of American hostages, so it's much different.
I would absolutely have a plan, but I don't want to say what the plan is because I think it would be inappropriate.
But the idea that you would be taking orders from the Taliban like Joe Biden is?
Ridiculous, because I dealt with Abdul and everybody else, and we were totally in charge.
And they would have never come in.
They wouldn't have even tried to come into Kabul, even though Ghani, I always said he's a crook, 100% crooked, a bad leader, but a crooked guy.
And he had the United States Senate wrapped around his finger.
That was his only strength.

Whoever in the White House decided it would be a good idea to try and get everyone out by September 11th, 2021, and thinking that that would be some positive PR win for the United States should be fired, because that's a huge, huge propaganda win for the Taliban.
And now it's also put us in the practical position on the ground of being entirely dependent.
On the largesse of the Taliban to get our people out.
And I guarantee you, we're going to leave thousands of people behind.
And that's unacceptable for the United States of America.
Congressman Gallagher, I'd like to point to two lies.
The first lie is that we were obliged to leave by May 1. The Taliban broke the agreement at least as early as March when they attacked forward operating base Chapman and wounded seven Americans.
So they violated the agreement.
We're already beyond the May 1 deadline.
There is no agreement and there is no need to go.
Secondly, there's a terrorist threat.
Every American who's been in Afghanistan, including you, has been under a terrorist threat whenever they have been there.
We've got 6,000 of our finest Marines and the 101st Airborne.
I don't want any of them hurt either.
But what do you make of those two arguments that we've already extended the deadline and we're under a terrorist threat?
Well, of course, the Doha agreement was conditions-based, and one of the conditions was that the Taliban not allow al-Qaeda to operate from their territory.
And, of course, they did.
I believe even the UN pointed that out at one point.
point.
And if you don't think that's true, then there's evidence in the form of the fact that we've killed al-Qaeda operatives.
The Portions of the Dennis Prager Show are brought to you by Sierra Pacific.
I'm Dennis Prager, speaking to the most important member of society, a person of courage.
Courage is the rarest of the positive traits, as I have often said to you.
Dr. Scott Atlas, formerly a professor at Stanford Medical School, now with the Hoover Institution at Stanford.
And among the...
Reasons for his being an outsider in terms of views is his belief, as all of you know was mine, of the catastrophic decision to have these universal lockdowns.
In light of the obvious facts, Dr. Atlas, of how destructive the lockdowns have been, why were they done in every country but Sweden?
Well, you know, the reason why is always difficult.
Any question that begins with why.
But there was a tremendous amount of fear.
There was misinformation and a misimpression given from the beginning.
What I mean by that is, in the beginning, the World Health Organization...
They made some statements that put the world into panic based on very incomplete data.
They said that the risk of this illness was extraordinarily high, far deadlier than the flu by several orders of magnitude, because they weren't taking data from everybody who was infected.
They were only looking at the data and the basis of who was sick enough to go to a doctor.
They said all kinds of things like everyone has a significant risk to die, no one has immunity because the virus is novel, Everyone is spreading the infection.
Asymptomatic people are major drivers of the spread.
And so if there was a disease that had such lethality and such characteristics, the original lockdown could have made sense and did make sense for being very temporary.
But what they did was they changed the goal instead of flapping the curve, meaning decreasing the potential for hospital overcrowding.
They just said, we're going to stop the cases of COVID-19.
And that's a gross error.
Not only was the information wrong, the data was all wrong, and it was completely, and still is mischaracterizing what's going on, the fact that there was fear, tremendous amount of fear, and basically it became sort of, at least in the United States, politicized.
This idea of stopping cases, the lockdowns did not just fail to stop the disease from killing the old people, and it did not just destroy and kill massive numbers of people.
And I have statistics on that if you're interested.
But it also failed to stop the spread of the infection.
That's proven.
That's proven by looking at the data.
It's proven by the paper from Stanford University in January by Ben David and colleagues.
It's proven by Agarwal in USC's paper of June 2021, which showed that not only did the lockdowns fail, when the lockdowns were put on, they actually caused deaths to go up.
This was just published in June.
There's a lot of problems.
People are ignorant.
There's a politicization.
I want to follow up on something I said.
I know time is short, but I want to make sure people understand.
You asked me why I was selected for the vitriol, and I said it's because I was standing next to President Trump.
Ian Edes, Bhattacharya, and I all said the exact same things about who's at risk, low risk to children.
Immunity from the infection based on decades of immunology and the research on this.
The ineffectiveness of masks.
The schools should be open, and they are without danger in places like Sweden.
The lockdown didn't work, and the idea was to instead use focus protection, which is protect the high-risk people much better than they did with the lockdown, and let the other people access medical care and businesses in school.
We said the exact same thing.
Only one of us was censured by faculty members of Stanford University.
Only one of us stood up next to Trump.
And Stanford University is voting.
95% of people in Stanford zip codes voted for Biden and 3.5% voted for Trump.
The universities are extremely politicized now.
Science has become politicized.
Science uses censorship and intimidation to change the expression and limit the expression of data and the interpretation of data.
And we're in a very dangerous place in this country because of that.
Yep.
Maybe when my listeners hear, which is totally understandable from an eminent scientist, it carries more weight than when I say it.
I don't have a problem with that.
I don't have medical credentials.
I don't think you need medical credentials to come to your conclusions.
I think you need an honest look at what has happened, the damage done to children, the suicide rate, the drug addiction rate.
The depression rate in virtually every country as a result of all of this, it's astonishing to me that this is a non-issue.
So you said masks are ineffective.
How do you explain the mask fetish?
Okay, what I mean by masks are ineffective is that general population masks do not protect people from the disease.
That's proven.
It's proven by the Denmark study, which is a randomized excellent study using high-quality surgical masks in more than 6,000 participants, and they showed that not only did mask wearers have no significant decrease in the amount of infection they got,
all proven by testing, But it didn't stop the spread of the virus to people wearing masks from this virus or 11 other viruses that were tested, including influenza.
And this has been known for years.
This has been proven with influenza already.
The virus spreads by breathing.
Masks are protective in an operating room when I've done hundreds of medical procedures because it stops bodily fluids like spit, sneezing, or blood.
From going into your face or from your face into a surgical incision.
That's not how this virus spreads, it spreads by breathing.
So the fetish on masks, I don't know if it's a fetish, but it's an obsession certainly.
You know, I just think that people are afraid and I was warned very early.
When I said, look at the data here, masks do not stop the waves of infection going in all the countries all over the world and in all the states, and this has been proven and analyzed by the University of Louisville recently in a superb study.
And the point here is that people have told me, you're going to be attacked because people need to feel psychologically they have some sort of control.
And if you take away that mask, the fallacy about masks, For healthy people, you're going to be criticized, and it's a psychological dependence.
The problem is that masks do two things.
A, they have a list of harms.
That's obvious anyways, particularly in children.
Anybody who thinks that having a child thinks he's a vector of the disease...
And stopping them from seeing faces and facial expressions.
Any parent who thinks that that's okay, they need to seek counseling, okay?
Because they're just really tough thinking.
The second part is that, you know, the last thing that you would want is a high-risk person to think they're protected by wearing a mask when it's not protected.
Exactly.

And our leadership is trying to build wokesters while the rest of the world is trying to build warriors.
Because places like China, places like Russia, perhaps now even Afghanistan, obviously they don't have the resources to do so.
But these other places want to be number one, China specifically.
So while they're looking to build their militaries and to strengthen their militaries, we're looking to brainwash ours.
And it's a sad commentary, but I want you to understand what we're dealing with.
If we can't count on the Biden-Harris administration to conduct even a safe and orderly troop withdrawal or leave just a small residual amount of troops behind to keep the country stabilized, what else can we not count on from the Biden administration?
Look at our open borders.
Do you really believe that the Biden administration...
We'll be able to fix the borders, perhaps even wants to fix the borders.
I don't even believe they want to fix the borders, frankly.
I don't think there's any doubt about it that the vast majority of us wanted to get out of there.
No one wants our soldiers to go to war in perpetuity.
But I don't believe in handing our soldiers a loss.
I don't believe in doing that.
I believe that if we send our soldiers to war, we need to send them to war to win.

Trending now on the Hugh Hewitt Show. - I think this is a crisis that we haven't faced since 9/11.
I think it's worse than 9-11 because we ran towards the danger and tried to save people.
Then now we're abandoning them.
Is the president going to stick with this?
It seems like the president is doubling down.
And what is shocking to me, we had a brief with Secretary Blinken, Secretary Austin, I'm
Dennis Prager, ESPN. NFL brings back social justice helmet decals, end zone stencils, as part of Inspire Change Platform.
The National Federation of Leftists, oh, National Football League.
I got the acronym wrong.
But that's how you should think of the NFL. National Federation of Leftists.
NFL players can wear social justice messages on their helmets again this season.
And it takes all of us and end racism will be stenciled in end zones for the second straight year as part of the league's Inspire Change platform.
Inspire Change.
Ah, change.
Do you know the word change for the people on the left is an endorphin producer?
Remember hope and change?
The moronic message in a country that doesn't need much change?
Yes, my friends, change.
You know why most artists crap?
Because they believe in change rather than excellence.
Very simple.
Anyway, the league will bring back Save Their Justice, excuse me, Save Their Stories initiative.
And for the first time, each team will highlight its social justice work during a regular season home game in weeks 17 and 18. We are committed to inspire change and the social justice work that inspires change for the long term.
Anna Isaacson, National Federation of Leftists, Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility, told the Associated Press.
How do you like that position?
Did you hear that?
There's a position in the NFL, Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility.
To think that the NFL did not have that position for all of its history.
How remiss.
The six messages players can choose from as part of the helmet decal program are end racism, stop hate, it takes all of us, black lives matter, inspire change, and save their stories.
Can somebody put on their helmet, I love America?
Or God bless America?
I'm just curious.
How about something on abortion?
Oh yeah, well, not to mention abortion.
Like, life begins at conception.
Or science says that you hear the human heart and measure brainwaves at, I don't know.
Three months.
Whatever the number is.
Just imagine that as a message.
How about my favorite?
Ethical monotheism.
Any NFL players listening?
ask if you could put on your helmet ethical monotheism.
Or...
We should have...
It just occurred to me.
We should have a contest on my show.
What would be the message?
It has to be a few words to fit on a helmet.
What would be a message the left most hates?
Meaning the NFL in this case.
What would they most find offensive?
Let's see.
How about this?
America is a good country.
Would that drive them crazy?
Or...
Let's see.
Three million.
Is it three million?
Three million black Africans have moved to the United States.
For freedom.
Maybe it's too many words.
For the final two weeks of the regular...
Oh no, excuse me.
I skipped something.
The end zone stencils will be placed on the field for all clubs in all home games.
Right?
Such as End Racism and It Takes All of Us.
This year's Say Their Stories features will again be voiced by NFL players, but will evolve to include social justice heroes.
Okay, social justice heroes.
Because the country is so filled with systemic injustice.

How is it possible that Joe Biden let this happen?
Was this intentional?
Did he want our enemies to have it?
It's hard to believe that incompetence could possibly let this happen.
Jake Sullivan, the highly unimpressive person who's never done anything useful in his life, says, we don't have a complete picture, obviously.
Of where every article of defense materials has gone, but certainly a fair amount of it has fallen into the hands of the Taliban.
And obviously we don't have a sense that we're going to be ready to handily hand it over to us at the airport.
The Taliban now has the 26th largest air force in the world with zero pilots.
600,000 weapons, 75,000 vehicles, 200 total aircraft, and $85 billion in total weapons.
110 helicopters, 60 transportation cargo airplanes, 20 light attack airplanes, and 18 intelligence reconnaissance and surveillance airplanes.
The Taliban now has more Black Hawk helicopters than Australia.
And this is all on our government.
This is all on Joe Biden, who now wants praise, who says this was a perfect withdrawal.
Are you kidding me?
Cut 59. Jen Psaki says that the Afghanistan effort is a success.
It's on track to be the largest airlift in U.S. history.
I would say that this is now on track, Peter, to be the largest airlift in U.S. history.
And that is bringing American citizens out.
It is bringing our Afghan partners out.
It is bringing allies out.
So no, I would not say that is anything but a success.
Anything but a success.

I heard the word strategist mentioned in the opening, that you were a strategist, and that's really what Biden needs.
He needs somebody to help him, because...
Our country is embarrassed.
Our country has never been embarrassed like they are right now.
In the speech in Alabama where we had a massive crowd, they say 68,000 people showed up in the rain.
There are a lot of things you can do to fight the destruction of this country that the left is engaged in.
I mean that literally.
Literally.
It's destroying the country.
So, if you value watching the NFL more than you value the country, and that's what it amounts to, and my heart breaks for you if you're a big fan.
I know the living martyr is a big sports fan, and he hates the NFL. I can't watch the NFL or the NBA. Even when it's on the TV in the restaurant that I'm in, I can't watch.
I can watch hockey, and I can watch baseball.
Baseball has not gone as woke as football and the NBA. But they're bad.
Yeah, baseball is bad too.
What's baseball doing?
Well, the all-star game.
Oh, the all-star game thing was beyond belief.
Beyond belief.
Take the all-star game away from Atlanta.
And people in Atlanta will just continue to vote left.
I lost my job.
Good chunk of my income because they took it away.
Can you imagine that?
You understand the obvious insult to black people, to any people of color?
If we demand an ID, it's racist.
What does that mean?
That means that we on the left have such content for blacks, which I do believe deeply, deeply, deeply, every leftist.
Thinks blacks are inferior.
Liberals don't, and conservatives don't.
Leftists think blacks are inferior.
Okay?
Once you understand that, a lot of things become clear.
Anyway, if you watch the NFL, you are feeding a nihilist force in American life.
Same with NBA at this time.
So I have some other suggestions for what can be on helmets.
Would they be acceptable?
How's this?
The biggest problem in life is you.
Imagine if a guy had that on his helmet.
God wants you to be good, which is what ethical monotheism is.
With the NFL, really, can you choose your message?
There's got to be some people in the NFL who have common sense and who have some wisdom.
These are wisdom sayings.
Self-control is the key to happiness.
How's that for a message on a helmet?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Oh my God, the age in which we're living.
Masks turn Democrats in favor of school choice.
God, do we live in an upside-down world.
Since Democrats are overwhelmingly for mask mandates for children, which shows you the ignorance that pervades, as you move left, you go into greater and greater ignorance and greater and greater fear.
That's very important to remember.
A recent poll found that 69% of U.S. adults support mandatory masking in schools.
This is painful because my life has been devoted to America, the American people.
My respect for my fellow American has diminished.
I admit it.
What can I say?
Mandatory masking in schools?
You want to hurt children?
The ignorance of 69% of Americans with regard to masking children is the reason for their being in favor of masking children.
And because they don't ask the most important question in life, is there any price paid?
Whenever you buy something, you ask, what is the price?
Why don't you ask, what is the price about every single thing you do in life?
It's the most important question.
What is the price?
Want to get out of Afghanistan?
What is the price for getting out of Afghanistan?
You want to vote for Democrats?
What is the price for having Democrats control your city, your state, or your country?
Big price.
The policy is politically polarizing, however.
92% of Democrats, as in Axios-Ipsos poll, 92% of Democrats And only 44% of Republicans support mandatory masking in schools.
92% of Democrats.
It's the party of fear.
That's what it is.
The underlying impulse on the left is they're afraid.
They're afraid of life.
They're afraid of death.
They're afraid of everything.
Fear.
They walk around scared.
That's a very dramatic difference.
92% of Democrats, 44% of Republicans.
By the way, I'm embarrassed that 44% of Republicans, if this poll is accurate, favor mandatory masking of children in schools.
Just had an eminent scientist on this hour said they're useless.
They're useless.
So if they're useless, they're hurting children who need to see faces.
The good news is, this is from the Wall Street Journal, we might find some unity amid such division.
A nationwide poll by Echelon Insights in August found 79% of respondents with an opinion support allowing families to take their children's taxpayer-provided education money To a private or home school if their public school does not mandate masks.
All right, there you go.
We're winning them over to school choice.
Give parents the money, $15,000.
Isn't that correct?
Is that what we spend generally?
$15,000 per kid?
Give parents $15,000 and they must spend it on the education of their child.
I don't know how you enforce that.
It would have to be mandatory.
If they go out and gamble the money away in a casino, that's not a good thing.
Or buy drugs, or for that matter, just take a vacation to Hawaii.
By the way, where do people in Hawaii vacation to?

General McMaster and Secretary Esper are blaming you for the Doha agreement.
They're saying that you empowered them.
What do you make of these criticisms from General McMaster, who was your second national security advisor and Secretary Esper?
Yeah.
These are two guys, you know, I had great people in my administration, but those two were stiffs.

And McMaster, all he did was like to write things and write books and complain, and he wasn't a smart person.
Just so you understand, they're complaining about the agreement that I just talked about with you, which had strong conditions.
And when the reason, as an example, I wanted to be out as soon as possible, but we had to get out strong with all our equipment and no death.
The reason nobody was killed in the last 18 months was because of what we did, beyond the agreement.
was because of the relationship I developed with the leaders, and in particular with Abdul.

Five or less.

This is the left, and we've heard this so many times, that the word is fluid for the Constitution.
Oh, it's fluid.
It changes in meaning.
So there's no real specific definition.
Well, that's not true.
The hallmark of our Constitution is not just separation of powers, but limited specific powers.
And so on the federal level, the Biden administration and the executive branch and even Congress are limited to the specific enumerated powers that are given in the United States Constitution.
Ninth and Tenth Amendment reserve all powers that are not enumerated to the states and to the people.
So that doesn't mean then that the states are just unlimited in their authority either.
And so the federal government has absolutely no authority to tell the states what to do with respect to vaccine mandates, with respect to, you know, any of these things that infringe upon our liberty and freedom.
We're no longer in a state of emergency.
The state legislatures can absolutely meet and they can.
We can determine whether or not to implement some of these things if they're even constitutional.
And there's a lot of reasons that they're not.
But that is a specifically legislative designation.
So for these executive branch officials to say, hey, we're exercising our emergency authorization.
We're going to force every individual to show a vaccine passport before they can take advantage and exercise their rights with respect to going into restaurants, gyms, hotels.
I mean, all of these things.
That is a violation of the separation of powers.
Our government is not tyrannical.
they can't just decide what's best for them.
We'll see you next time.
Hi, everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
Good to be with you, my friends, on this live show.
Last night, in a really stunning, stunning home, Malibu.
Had a big fundraiser for PragerU.
You know, the greatest perk of all in that organization for me is the spectacular people I meet all over the world.
There is nothing...
I can't think of anything as inspiring and strengthening.
As meeting good people.
It's such a huge issue, and I've always known it.
I was blessed at a very early age with the pursuit of wisdom.
It's just in my nature.
I thought about big issues, ultimate issues as I call it, from a very early age.
I would say from freshman in high school.
And at a very early age, I decided, I used the term, to be a good people collector.
And I like collecting.
I like collecting baseball cards.
I like collecting good fountain pens.
I'm a collector to a certain extent.
Not obsessively, but I am obsessive about collecting good people.
What I call kindred spirits, the importance of having them.
So last night was an example of these people, some of them very prominent in their fields.
I'm just mentioning that in passing, but it was their, the combination of their, there were winners who were good.
I don't mean super rich, some were, but that's not what I mean by winner.
You know a winner when you meet one.
You know a loser when you meet one.
We don't like to use those terms.
It's too bad because the complete lack of judgment tells people that no matter how they lead their lives, it's just as wonderful as any other way to lead your life.
Right?
So have a lot of kids out of wedlock, you're just as terrific as someone who marries the mother of their children.
But I just wanted to say this because a lot of you are experiencing despair over the country and perhaps even personal issues as well, related often because sometimes children don't speak to parents.
Who voted for Donald Trump?
By the way, is there any child that doesn't speak to a parent because the parent voted for Joe Biden?
There might be, but none of us can imagine it, right?
Can you imagine not speaking to your parents because they voted for Joe Biden?
And the case for Joe Biden having hurt this country is so much, so much more persuasive than...
Any case that Donald Trump hurt this country.
The opposition to Donald Trump was about him, but he did magnificent things for this country as a rule, and for the world for that matter.
So this is where we're at.
If you are in despair, you must find kindred spirits.
I know how important a role that plays in my own life.
Anyway, I wanted to share that with you because it's so important.
Guess what?
The spectacularly vicious anti-American administration, Democratic administration, and it wouldn't matter.
Joe Biden is incompetent and a crook, but even if you had a competent non-crook, As president, it wouldn't matter if the person's a Democrat.
I am never fixated on the individual.
I'm fixated on the ideology.
Democrats are ruining the United States of America.
Everywhere they are in power, they hurt people.
And people vote for them.
Right?
Defund the police.
Mayor after mayor.
Some governors said that.
More people die.
More innocent people die as a result of that policy, and they don't care!
I truly believe that there is no Democratic mayor who gives a damn about the murder rate in the black community.
They don't give a damn because they don't give a damn about blacks.
They use blacks.
They use women.
They use Hispanics.
They use.
It's all for power.
The left has always only been about power.
That liberals still vote for them is a shame on liberals.
How much did we give the Taliban, these monsters?
By the way, to say they're medieval, this is not meant as a joke, is an insult to the medieval world.
The medieval world was on a higher moral level than the Taliban.
There is no world in which Taliban behavior was normative.
Not the ancient, not the medieval, and not the modern.
Except for the exceptions, like Nazis.
But they are primitive.
Yes, they are primitive.
What did we leave them?
Okay.
22,174 Humvees.
634 MI-117.
What would you call them?
They're a vehicle.
They're an armored vehicle, I believe.
155 MXX Pro mine-proof vehicles.
155 mine-proof vehicles.
169 M113 armored personnel carriers.
42,000 pickup trucks and SUVs.
64,363 machine guns.
8,000 trucks.
162,043 radios.
16,035 night vision goggles.
358,530 assault rifles.
126,295 pistols and 176 artillery pieces.
Then we go to aircraft.
33 MI-17 helicopters.
33 Black Hawk helicopters.
43 MD-530 helicopters.
4 C-130 transports.
23 Embraer EMB Super Tucano planes.
28 Cessna 208 planes.
10 Cessna AC-208 strike aircraft.
And an airfield.
And ammunition.
Right.
And Biden says, and the moron, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, that this was a great success.
And that's the way it's reported.
It's a great success.
Because the democratic regime said so.
This was a great success.
I would like to know what a failure would look like.
This was a great success.
Did we already forget about the Afghans hanging from the airplanes?
But we are bringing in over 100,000 people randomly while leaving behind people who actually help the country.

I don't know what stops people from understanding the damage that Joe Biden has done to this country.
Joe Biden has one belief.
Joe Biden.
That's it.
His regard for this country is similar to anti-American attitudes to this country abroad.
The amount of ammunition and artillery and planes and helicopters and tanks that we have left, not destroyed, not brought out, why weren't they simply removed?
Will anybody pay a price?
Will anybody be fired?
No.
Why would you fire people for a great success?

Whoever in the White House decided it would be a good idea to try and get everyone out by September 11th, 2021, and thinking that that would be some positive PR win for the United States should be fired, because that's a huge, huge propaganda win for the Taliban.
And now it's also put us in the practical position on the ground of being entirely dependent on the largesse of the Taliban to get our people out.
I know.
And if you don't think that's true, then there's evidence in the form of the fact that we've killed al-Qaeda operatives on Afghanistan soil.

And...
Yes, indeed.
So JR in Columbus says they should put God Bless America on the helmets.
I couldn't agree more.
Here is the question.
If somebody did, I read to you earlier what they are now allowing more political messages to disunite the country and promote hate.
There is no hate producers like the left.
There's nothing comparable.
You have to go to crackpot tiny groups on some extreme end of the right to match anything approaching the hatred that comes from the left.
They announce it.
They hate whites, just as an example.
That's allowed.
Apropos of this, but not directly related, have you ever thought about this?
You know, Larry Elder, whom I'm going to have on in the next segment, if it works out, he's inundated with press from all over the world, but Larry Elder is attacked for being misogynist.
What does that mean?
A hater of women.
Which is as accurate as his being the black face of white supremacy.
These are the things that are said about him.
Because the left smears, they don't debate.
But apropos of that, what did he say?
He actually, it was about 10 years ago, I think, or 20 years ago.
20 years ago in a column.
He cited data from...
Some university studies that asked men and women questions about current events, found that women did not know as much as men did, obviously on average.
There are women who know ten times more than men, obviously.
But on average, men knew more about current events facts than women did.
So he's called misogynist for saying that.
So if you say men are rapists, men are this, men are that, anything you want to say about men, It's fine.
But if you say something that is probably true even about women, not even as an insult, just citing something, then you're a hater of women.
Wasn't feminism supposed to make women strong?
So here's another example of truth being the opposite of the giant lies that people believe.
People believe feminism has strengthened women.
Feminism has weakened women.
My mother and grandmother were much stronger than the average woman today.
Women have learned to be weak, to be victims.
My mother didn't see herself as a victim.
My mother was groped, a whole host of stories that we were told in the family.
My mother didn't walk around thinking she's a victim.
My mother thought she was the strongest woman in the world.
In some ways, she certainly was.
She ran a 400-bed nursing home.
Not to mention put up with my father.
That was a joke, but somewhat of a joke.
My father was a great man.
He really was.
But I don't know if he was the easiest man in the world to live with.
Anyway, she adored him and he adored her.
They were married 69 years.
But any...
Any hint of a critical word about women?
For example, I think that women who participated in the Women's March, remember that in the early days of the Trump administration?
With the pussy hat thing?
These women are not strong.
These women are weak.
That they think they're oppressed in America and needed to march for women is a function of boredom.
And need for a movement, need for a cause, need to fill an empty soul.
But feminism has not made women stronger, it has made women weaker.
Say anything, and it's a hostile work environment.
Whatever you'll say about that, it certainly doesn't represent, exemplify a strong individual.
To hear something and just be shattered.
Okay.
Just thought I would say that.
And...
Paul, Woodland Hills, California.
Hello.
Hi.
Uh-oh.
Dennis?
Yeah.
Hi.
Can you hear me?
I do.
I can.
Somehow we have a bad connection.
Well, maybe on your part.
I hear you fine.
Okay, well, my call is about...
First of all, I want to thank you.
I almost fell out of my chair today.
You actually called Democrats the enemy.
I'm so happy.
This is my third call to you about this subject.
I want you to keep up the good work.
Please stop using the word leftist.
Democrats are the enemy, and we've got to be able to win.
Right, but the reason that the Democrats are the enemy of the West and of America is because they're leftists, not because they're Democrats.
So that is the reason.
The left ruins everything it touches.
It's ruined the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party is not the same party as when I was a kid.
Henry Jackson, you should all look him up because he's not well known today.
Scoop Jackson, that was his nickname.
One of the greatest Americans of my lifetime was a Democrat.
And so was the senator from New York.
Oh, God.
Names has always been my Achilles heel.
Anyway, there was a wonderful, wonderful, brilliant man who was an academic as well.
His name will come to me later.
And he was a Democrat.
They were terrific Democrats.
These people loved this country.
They were liberals.
Wrong on some issues, in my opinion, but good people can differ.
They weren't leftist.
They became leftist.
So if we don't identify the left, anyway, is it Democrats that have ruined universities?
No.
It's the left that has ruined universities.
The professors and the deans and the presidents who have destroyed colleges, nearly every one of which are worthless today, were destroyed because they're leftists, not because they're Democrats.
So that's the reason that I speak about the left, so people will understand the origins of the problem.
All right.
Hopefully we'll have Larry Elder on.
If not, I'll take your calls and much more coming up.

He had some...
Family difficulty.
And I gave Jesper a try and put him in there for a short period of time.
He didn't have what it takes.
The men and women, the people within the military, did not respect him.
And McMaster, all he did was like to write things and write books and complain, and he wasn't a smart person.
Just so you understand, they're complaining about the agreement that I just talked about with you, which had strong conditions.
And when the reason, as an example, I wanted to be out as soon as possible, but we had to get out strong with all our equipment and no death.
The reason nobody was killed in the last 18 months was because of what we did.
Beyond the agreement was because of the relationship I developed with the leaders, and in particular with Abdul.

The Jen Psaki, the pressure is getting to her, questioned by Peter Doocy, a famous clip already, cut number 11.
That people are working long hours in the White House the National House of Representatives.
Hi everybody, I'm Dennis Prager.
Sure.
He has now reached the status of a man who needs no introduction, Larry Elder, who, if we're lucky, will be the next governor of the state of California.
So, Larry Elder, how's your strength holding up?
Well, it's holding up pretty well.
It's been rigorous between now and September 14. Virtually every hour is accounted for.
It's a race of endurance, but I'm hanging in there.
You certainly are.
I mean, I was with you last week at one of your many fundraisers.
You were terrific.
You had phenomenal energy.
It was a joy to see you and to hear you.
So you really are scaring the entire Democratic Party and the entire media.
Is that a fair statement?
It is a fair statement, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
One of the many reasons I'm scaring them, Dennis, is, as you know, there's a 50-50 split in the Senate.
And what they're afraid of is when I become governor and should Dianne Feinstein become incapacitated or retire or resign or what have you.
And think about it, Dennis.
When's the last time you've seen her?
My sources tell me she's in worse condition than Joe Biden.
They're definitely afraid that I will replace her with a Republican, which I most certainly will do.
And that, of course, would set up the entire balance of power in Washington, D.C.
That's why Kamala Harris is weighed in.
That's why Joe Biden is weighed in.
That's why Senator Warren has cut a commercial for him.
They are scared to death and should be.
They certainly should be.
You know, people talk about the French laundry thing.
When I read the L.A. Times, which I only read to see what the left has to say.
It's not worthwhile reading.
But they say, oh yeah, there's no question it was a mistake.
But I don't see it as a mistake.
I don't believe that he believes in masks.
If he believed masks protect you, why wouldn't he want to protect himself?
Well, that's exactly right.
I don't believe that they were scared.
That's why Nancy Pelosi was at that hairdresser not wearing a mask.
That's why Sheila Kuehl...
After she just signed mandates to close restaurants, within hours of signing those mandates, here she is at a restaurant, not engaging in the kind of social distancing and mask wearing that she told everybody else to.
I don't believe that they're scared.
They wanted you to be scared.
That's right.
That's a very key point.
What have you found most people most resonate to in your platform?
Most people are angry about the hypocrisy.
It isn't so much even the mandates, Dennis.
It's that the mandates were imposed by people like Gavin Newsom, who then proceeded to flaunt them.
When he was at that French laundry restaurant, as you know, he was not wearing a mask.
He was not engaging with social distancing.
His own kids were enjoying in-person private education while denying in-person schooling for everybody else.
And he even had a mandate to wear masks outdoors and had his own kids at summer camp not wearing masks.
It's a hypocrisy that angered people.
Now, with regard, again, I'm going back to that question.
That is what angers them about Newsom.
What attracts them to your message?
Is it school choice?
What is it?
I think it's a number of things.
Again, the hypocrisy, but also the rise in crime.
You know, violent crime is up in virtually every major city here in California.
And by violent crime, I'm talking about shootings and homicides.
We have two soft-on-crime DAs.
And Gavin Newsom's fingerprints are on both of them.
The DA that we have here in L.A., George Gascon, Gavin Newsom gave him his first job as police chief of San Francisco, then appointed him DA. When he came down to L.A. to run for DA, he backed him.
And, you know, people are hurting.
Just the other day, Barbara Boxer, the former senator, got mugged and opened.
Her cell phone was taken.
And a few months before that, Gavin Newsom was attacked by a mentally ill homeless guy.
Had he not had a security detail with him, who knows what would have happened to him.
How many people living in the inner-city dentist can afford to travel around with a security detail?
So this is also something that's affecting people.
And then we have the huge decline in the quality of public education, which kind of manifested itself when people were watching the virtual education kids were getting, and they found out how bad it was.
There was a big article in the LA Daily News that said two-thirds of black parents now did not want to send their kids back to LAUSD, the Los Angeles district, in the fall.
Because they saw how bad the teachers are.
Nearly 300,000 public school teachers in California.
I don't know how many of them are incompetent, but I saw some study, Dennis, that said about 5% of teachers in Mason and Wyatt are incompetent.
Assuming that number applied, you're talking about 15,000 incompetent public school teachers.
Any given year, 2.2 here in California are fired.
Not 22, not 2200, 2.2.
Can you stay on or you've got to go to one of your million appointments?

I want you to understand that we're dealing with wokesters in the White House, where the rest of the world is trying to build warriors.
Our American soldiers have no fault of their own.
No fault of their own.
Our leadership is...
We just have bad leadership.
It's as simple as that.
And our leadership is trying to build wokesters while the rest of the world is trying to build warriors.
I don't think there's any doubt about it that the vast majority...
Hi, everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
Truly a counter to the left-wing destruction can take place in California in two weeks with the recall of Gavin Newsom, the completely destructive governor of California, and then voting in Larry Elder, who is honest, courageous, brilliant, capable, and has terrific values.
I know Larry Elder.
I'm happy to say for many decades.
So what I said comes from knowledge of this man.
Larry, one of the columnists in the L.A. Times said that you were the black face of white supremacy.
So I'm curious.
I've been thinking about that a lot.
My suspicion is, in an odd way perhaps, or even not odd, I actually think that that backfires and helps you.
I agree.
I think it's become so ludicrous.
It shows how desperate they are, virtually anything at all, to take away from this man's record.
I was having an interview yesterday with a black radio host.
I didn't know him.
The interview got very contentious.
It got very combative.
And I said to him, are you okay with the fact that 75% of black boys cannot read at state levels of proficiency?
Are you okay that two-thirds of black parents say they don't want to send their kids back to the district in the fall?
Is that okay with you?
Is that okay with you that half of all third graders cannot read at state levels of proficiency and the math scores are even worse, and I'm the bad guy?
I said, are you okay with stepping over homeless people?
Are you okay with rising crime, when the victims of which are disproportionately black and brown people living in their city?
And I'm the bad guy.
It seemed to me you ought to be joining with me to deal with some of these problems.
He didn't have much to say about that.
God, you don't know.
That's exactly what I was waiting for.
As you listed those litany of terrible things, I was just thinking, what did he say?
He had nothing to say.
He kept pushing and pushing and pushing.
Why did he keep pushing?
Why was he pushing?
He kept pushing that the police were engaging in systemic racism.
And I presented study after study after study.
I stabbed some people like Heather McDonald.
I told him about an article in the Washington Post, April 27, 9th, 2016. I said, read it.
Studies going back over decades showing, if anything, the police are more hesitant, more reluctant to pull the trigger on a black suspect than a white suspect.
He didn't want to hear it.
I told him the police kill more unarmed white people every year than unarmed black people.
He didn't want to hear it.
I told him the police killed twice as many white people as they do black people, and he said, well, there's more white people.
And I mean, he just didn't want to hear it.
And I said, this narrative is getting people killed.
The police are pulling back.
Bad guys know it.
When you decrease the chances of a bad guy being caught, being convicted, and being incarcerated, crime goes up, and the victims of that crime will be disproportionately the very black and brown people that you claim that you care about.
Why am I the bad guy?
Look, I am so confident in your ability to persuade people that no matter how contentious it might have been, I'm thrilled that he had you on his show.
Has the black media ignored you largely?
I can't say that, but people like Tavis Smiley, I was on his show.
It was a contentious interview.
I'm not very impressed with his ability to express himself with his brain, but it was very contentious.
I mean, this is a guy who once said Ronald Reagan tortured people.
And when I explained to Tavis Smiley years ago that under Ronald Reagan, the black adult unemployment rate fell faster than did the white adult unemployment rate.
The black teenage rate fell faster than the white teenage rate of unemployment.
He didn't want to hear it.
He told me that I had the wrong stats.
He would get them on my desk on Monday.
That was probably 15 years ago.
Well, he didn't say which Monday.
Well, that's true.
And of course, the quality of our mail system, you never know.
But honestly, Dennis, he didn't want to hear it.
Don't confuse me with the facts.
And I have a friend who hates, hates, hates Donald Trump.
And believe that Donald Trump mocked the handicapped.
He has a son with special needs.
And I sent him a long letter showing that this gesture that Donald Trump uses is a gesture that Donald Trump uses to mock himself.
And furthermore, the reporter he supposedly mocked doesn't gesture like that.
He has an atrophied arm, but he doesn't gesture like that.
And my friend didn't want to hear it.
And he was brilliant.
My friend had a perfect score on his SAT score, on his SAT test, Dennis.
And I realized he did not want to unhate Donald Trump.
So people don't want to unhate Larry Elder.
They don't care about these kinds of stats.
They have a point of view.
They're going to stick to it.
And don't confuse me with the information.
It's amazing.
I covered the story of you and your...
I'll prove it to you.
37 years, correct?
Correct.
Yep.
I almost memorized that story about you and your close friend.
And that it was over an issue about which you are 100% right.
I studied it avidly.
I believed, which was a big mistake of mine, you should never believe the New York Times, but I believed them that he had mocked a disabled man and chalked it up to another sad flaw in an otherwise terrific president.
And it turns out he didn't do that.
You were 100% right on the facts.
If facts mattered, There would be no Democrats in office.
Well, you know, it's all emotion.
It's all anger.
And again, this unwillingness to hear the information, the willingness to believe the worst possible things.
And that's one of the reasons why we have this ridiculous phenomenon of critical race theory, teaching little kids, little white kids that they're oppressors, teaching little black kids that they're victims.
And I believe, Dennis, it's because of the fear of how the black vote is going.
In 2016, Donald Trump got 8% of the black vote by arguing, what do you have to lose?
That was up from 6% four years earlier when Obama was running for re-election.
And in 2020, Donald Trump got 12% of the black vote.
That's a 50% increase in four years' time.
So it's going in the wrong direction.
So now all of a sudden we're doubling down on how systemically racist America is.
And you!
The black face of white supremacy.
I know you about 30 years, and I never...
How did I miss that?
Well, Dennis, I guess you just weren't paying attention.
You know, I worked hard for that title.
All right, so let's talk money.
How much has Newsom raised?
He's raised $50 million so far.
It is estimated that he's going to raise and spend about $75 million from the usual suspects, the teachers' union, the public sector union, Hollywood, and big tech.
I'm going to be outspent by a factor of probably 10 to 1. But you can use money, correct?
You're not limited.
Well, I'm limited on the campaign side.
It's a little complicated.
And I've already hit my limit on the campaign side.
But we have a special recall committee into which people can put an unlimited amount of money.
Where should they get money?

I'd say that this is now on track, Peter, to be the largest airlift in U.S. history.
And that is bringing American citizens out.
It is bringing our Afghan partners out.
It is bringing allies out.
So no, I would not say that is anything but a success.
Anything but a success.

Where are the psychiatrists now with regard to Biden as they were for Trump?
Psychiatry was one of the first institutions in America for the left to destroy.
There are some wonderful psychiatrists.
There are some wonderful teachers.
There are some wonderful everything.
But they'd ruin the institutions.
Psychiatry was number one.

The Democrats are ruining the country not because they're Democrats, but because they're leftists.
