Dennis Prager Show - The Legalization of Shoplifting Aired: 2021-08-13 Duration: 04:26 === Visiting Hungary Today (04:26) === [00:00:00] Offending the New York Times is a much greater crime than theft, for example, and it is probably a greater crime than murder in many cases. [00:00:11] Your life is certainly more ruined. [00:00:14] If you walk into a store in California, excuse me, not all the United States, and you take $900 of items, you put them in a shopping cart and steal them and walk out with them, You are charged, if you are charged with anything, with a misdemeanor. [00:00:34] So, stores are closing in San Francisco because people routinely steal about $900 worth of items. [00:00:44] You see them, they're still on the hangers as they walk out. [00:00:47] And of course, they're told not to interfere with them. [00:00:52] A deep lawlessness has... [00:00:55] It pervaded the United States, some states more than others. [00:01:00] And these people are preoccupied with Viktor Orban because it's all about feeling good about yourself. [00:01:09] See? [00:01:09] We can attack our own like the left did not attack its own. [00:01:14] That is what it is about. [00:01:15] We are moral giants. [00:01:17] And Tucker Carlson is a moral midget in their views for giving Oriban a television hour. - Sure. [00:01:29] The hour, of course, was not on his one-hour show. [00:01:32] He didn't take up the whole, but he has a special show, and he had excerpts on his show. [00:01:38] I did not visit Victor Orban. [00:01:41] I did not even mention Victor Orban's name in my talk. [00:01:45] I spoke about Western civilization and how I had belief that if the West is saved against the left, which loathes it, It will probably come from Eastern Europe. [00:01:57] That was the gist of my remarks. [00:02:01] And I am now equivalent to the left-wing people who defended the communist butchers. [00:02:10] I will get for you some data on what communism did in Eastern Europe. [00:02:16] Anyway, they even spoke about the Soviet Union. [00:02:19] They compared those of us who went to Hungary last week. [00:02:24] With Westerners who went to the Soviet Union under Stalin and said, oh, I have seen the future and it works. [00:02:30] Stalin murdered between 20 and 40 million people. [00:02:34] Stalin committed genocide in Ukraine. [00:02:37] Viktor Orban do anything like that? [00:02:41] And these nothings? [00:02:43] And it hurts because I know them. [00:02:46] These nothings? [00:02:47] They have become nothings. [00:02:49] They have become sick. [00:02:51] These people who attack us. [00:02:54] For visiting that horrible place of Hungary. [00:02:58] You know why they hate Hungary? [00:02:59] They hate Hungary because it defied the EU. You defy the EU. You are a scum. [00:03:07] What did they say about the folks who let out Brexit? [00:03:10] These were lowlifes. [00:03:11] Right? [00:03:12] Lowlifes. [00:03:13] Who will, of course, destroy Britain. [00:03:16] If anything destroys Britain, it'll be the lockdown. [00:03:23] My friends, the moral universe has always been a troubling place. [00:03:34] The human condition is such that it is tough for many people just to be basically decent. [00:03:44] It's sad. [00:03:45] It's a question I will ask God. [00:03:48] Why don't you make human nature a drop better? [00:03:53] But, okay, what is particularly galling is when people who should know better don't. [00:04:02] If you think that Viktor Orban and communist leaders are moral equivalents, that visiting Hungary today and giving a speech there is equivalent to visiting the Soviet Union under Stalin and giving a speech then, there is something wrong with you. [00:04:20] I mean that literally. [00:04:23] I took a vow and I began broadcasting not to exaggerate.
