Dennis Prager Show - Vaccine Mandates in New York? Aired: 2021-08-03 Duration: 06:21 === Vaccinated Society (05:49) === [00:00:00] If you want to participate in our society fully, you've got to get vaccinated. [00:00:05] It's time. [00:00:07] It's going to be a requirement. [00:00:10] Is that legal? [00:00:11] I just don't understand exactly. [00:00:17] The only way to patronize these establishments is if you're vaccinated at least one dose. [00:00:25] About 66% of the adults in the city are fully vaccinated. [00:00:31] So, let's see. [00:00:33] So, that means, well, that's fully vaccinated. [00:00:39] So, you figure 75% have... [00:00:42] Right, 56% of the American population. [00:00:46] But in New York, so 60% are fully, 66%. [00:00:52] So, I assume, let's say 70% have at least one dose. [00:00:58] So, that means 30% of New Yorkers will not be allowed into a restaurant. [00:01:05] Will they be allowed into a subway car? [00:01:11] certainly a lot closer to people in a subway car than in a restaurant. [00:01:14] The, the, that Americans accept this, Remember, in the name of safety, every other civil right is now trampled on. [00:01:28] That is all you have to say is safety. [00:01:31] There is zero reason to believe it matters. [00:01:35] My friends, is it not... [00:01:38] I don't understand why people just don't ask the question. [00:01:43] If the vaccine works, what the hell do I care if the guy next to me is vaccinated? [00:01:48] Huh? [00:01:51] Well, it doesn't always work. [00:01:53] Okay, it doesn't always work. [00:01:57] So if you don't have a comorbidity, and if you have a comorbidity, it's a problem in any event. [00:02:04] Because a lot of vaccinated people are getting it. [00:02:08] So what does that say? [00:02:11] It's all hokum. [00:02:13] Just hokum. [00:02:15] But the acceptance of people, that alone would chase me out of New York City. [00:02:22] I would not live in a city where I could not go to a restaurant. [00:02:26] And by the way, this will apply, obviously, to children. [00:02:30] I mean, by children I mean over 12 or over 16. I don't know what the age is now. [00:02:34] Is it 12? [00:02:36] So a 13-year-old who's not vaccinated, about whom we have no idea whether or not this vaccine will have any ramifications in his or her life later? [00:02:50] When children die more of flu than of COVID? Do I more of car accidents than of COVID? And we're going to tell them you can't step into a restaurant? [00:03:03] I would get the hell out of New York City. [00:03:09] Question is, will this sickness spread? [00:03:12] This would be enough, I have to say, for me to leave California. [00:03:17] If that, I'm asked all the time why I stay here, and of course the answer is people. [00:03:24] And I will admit. [00:03:26] On selfish grounds, the climate doesn't hurt. [00:03:30] But people is the primary reason. [00:03:35] I have a whole life here, a whole world here. [00:03:39] And it's a rich world, and it's a happy world. [00:03:43] It's a religious world, it's a secular world. [00:03:48] But if this happened, that would mean that I could no longer live here. [00:03:56] Even the amazing thing is to think about it. [00:04:05] Children will have to be vaccinated in New York to enter a restaurant. [00:04:10] People who had COVID have the antibodies from COVID but didn't take the vaccine, they will not be allowed into a restaurant. [00:04:20] And this is all science-based? [00:04:25] To give kids an experimental vaccine is science-based? [00:04:30] To demand that people who had COVID get a vaccine is science-based? [00:04:36] It's a rape of the term science, but it's already been raped. [00:04:40] It doesn't mean anything any longer. [00:04:42] It means nothing when I hear I follow science. [00:04:46] It's like saying I believe in God. [00:04:48] What God do you believe in? [00:04:49] What science do you believe in? [00:04:51] Do you believe in malleable science? [00:04:53] Anybody who says they believe in science, ask them, do you believe there are two sexes? [00:04:58] Okay? [00:04:59] Then you'll know if they believe in science or not. [00:05:01] Just as a very quick question. [00:05:06] Or is it an infinitely malleable spectrum? [00:05:13] Is there a spectrum among other primates? [00:05:16] Among other mammals? [00:05:18] Only among humans there's a spectrum. [00:05:21] There's a non-binary spectrum in sex identification, isn't there? [00:05:27] Isn't that strange? [00:05:28] I thought we were animals. [00:05:32] New York City, Bill de Blasio. === What If It Goes Away? (00:46) === [00:05:35] Oh, my God. [00:05:38] Key to New York Pass. [00:05:40] The strategy of requiring proof of vaccination for workers and customers at indoor dining, gyms, entertainment, and the performances, including Broadway. [00:05:51] Indoor movies and concerts will also require people to show proof of vaccination to enter. [00:05:57] By the way, for how long will they keep this on? [00:06:00] Isn't that an interesting question? [00:06:02] What if it goes away in six months? [00:06:07] It went away in one month in Britain. [00:06:10] So what if it goes away? [00:06:12] What's going to happen? [00:06:17] Here's my prediction. [00:06:20] The past won't go away.
