He is my colleague in radio, my friend, and he is running for governor of California.
And I've got a lot of questions for you, Larry.
First of all, how do you enjoy it?
Well, that's a good question, Dennis.
By the way, you are a big reason why I'm doing this, and you know it.
And I'm asking people to go to electelder.com and throw something in the tip jar for reasons I'll explain in just a second.
But I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.
I've been traveling up and down the state, from Sacramento down to San Diego, giving a lot of the interviews.
And what I'm really enjoying is, from time to time, I'm able to give an interview to a left-wing publication.
There's one called the Sacramento Observer.
It's a black newspaper.
So I can tell by their body language, you know, I'm an Uncle Tom, I'm a fellow, and I've got an R at the end of my name, a black man who's a conservative.
And I said to one of them, aren't you tired?
I said, what do you mean?
I said, aren't you tired of the fact that 75% of black boys in California cannot read at state levels of proficiency?
Aren't you tired that half of third graders in California cannot read at state levels of proficiency?
I said, I went to Crenshaw High School, and they knew the school because of the movie Boys in the Hood.
I said, 2% of kids are math proficient.
The teachers' union, all Democrats, adamantly opposed school choice, even though the polls show black and brown urban parents want school choice.
Yet they go in there and they pull the lever for the Democrats.
I think one of them just told me he tried to buy a house and it was too expensive.
I think, don't you see the connection between these environmental extremists, people like Rob Reiner, who years ago stopped a housing project called Amundsen Ranch.
It was in Ventura County.
9,000 housing units.
It was going to be on, quote, pristine land, Dennis.
Now, I don't know where Rob Reiner lives, but unless he lives on a houseboat, wherever he lives was once pristine land as well.
And they stopped the project.
Ten years later, they're all high-fiving themselves.
I read an article about it.
Nobody even talked about the number of houses that are no longer there because of people like that.
And that is why the price of a house in California is 150% more than it is for the average home in America.
And according to Leo Haney, a brilliant econ professor at UCLA who tells me the average price of a home in California is 50% more than otherwise would be but for these environmental extremists.
I said, aren't you tired of this?
aren't you tired of pulling the lever for the party that makes housing prices go to the point where you're complaining about it and where the school system is so bad teachers don't put their own kids in it aren't you tired and dennis i'm not saying after that they became reagan republicans but i know they're hearing something for the first time and that's what i'm enjoying about that's That's right.
I'm sorry for saying it three times.
That they get to hear ideas and facts they never heard in their lives from you.
Another one, Dennis.
81% of blacks, according to a poll I read, want the police manpower to remain the same or to be increased.
I said, aren't you tired of these left-wing people talking about systemic racism?
Calling cops to pull back is called the Ferguson effect.
Now they're calling it the George Floyd effect.
Crime goes up.
Those who are disproportionately hurt by this...
I said, aren't you tired of this?
And again, for the first time, I could tell that they were thinking, again, I don't know what they're going to do.
I don't know if they're going to vote for me.
And I said, the beauty of having a secret ballot is you can pull the lever for a Republican.
You don't have to tell your Democrat friends.
You don't have to tell your independent friends.
But I said, crime doesn't have a color.
This doesn't have a color.
The price of housing doesn't have a color.
And the way this man shut down the state while sitting up there at that French laundry restaurant with the very same people who wrote the rules and regulations, not wearing masks, not engaging in social distancing while his own kids were enjoying in-person private education and while he exempted his own business.
I said, aren't you tired of this?
And Dennis, I'm not just a lawyer or a talk show host.
I ran a small business for 14 years.
At its peak, it had a dozen people.
Most businesses, small businesses fail.
And those that do succeed are often just going payroll to payroll.
This guy shut this state down in the most dramatic way compared to any of the other 49 states.
Who knows how many businesses were destroyed?
Who knows how many hopes and dreams were destroyed?
We're just now figuring it out because the bankruptcy courts have just now reopened.
But it turns out that only about half of the jobs pre-pandemic have been restored in California, as opposed to two-thirds nationwide nationwide.
And I said, aren't you tired of this?
Aren't you tired of being betrayed by the very people that you put into office year after year after year?
I said, what's the first step toward leaving poverty?
Quality high school education.
One where when you do graduate, you can read, write, and compute at grade level.
You're not getting that.
And I'm the bad guy.
And I can tell, Dennis, again, they never heard this stuff before.
Never.
That's exactly right.
Are you getting invited to black churches?
I am.
And I'm going to be speaking at some between now and the end of this campaign.
And I'm getting more and more black media.
There's a magazine in L.A. called the L.A. Focus.
It's a magazine that goes once a month to churches for free.
And I'm having an interview with the owner of that.
Her name is Elise Collins.
And, again, people are hearing stuff they've never heard before.
This is defund the police movement.
As you know, in L.A., $150 million have been diverted from the LAPD budget for youth programs.
Why do they need youth programs for black people, for black youth programs?
Why do they need that?
Why is there a breakdown of the family?
Why is there a breakdown of the family?
Because a nouveau-liberal named Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1965 launched a so-called war on poverty.
At the time, 25% of black kids entered the world without a father married to the mother.
Now that number is 70%.
Forget about elder.
Obama said a kid raised without a father is five times more likely to be poor and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out, 20 times more likely to end up in jail.
Now, they destroy the family, and then they want to pass a $150 million youth program to deal with the effects of what happens when you destroy the family.
And I said to this black newspaper, connect the dots!
Connect the dots!
Who's on your side?
It's so refreshing to hear you.
I made a big deal about this on my show.
You were lied about in the L.A. Times by a columnist named Guerrero.
I don't know if you saw the piece about you.
Of course I saw the piece.
Oh, no, no, no.
I mean, there's a lot about you, thank God.
I didn't know if you saw it.
All right, so fine.
So you saw it.
Did you see where she said, you twist facts?
Yeah, and notice she didn't give an example of...
No, she gave an example of your facts that are facts.
So she out and out lied in saying Larry Elder twists facts.
Right.
And you know, Dennis, here's what I always say.
Somebody brought that up, and I said, pick up your magic wand.
I think I've told you this before.
I love this line.
Go ahead.
And remove every smidgen of racism from the hearts of white America.
Do we still have 70% of black boys, black children entering the world without a father married to the mother?
Do we still have a 50% dropout rate in many of our urban high schools?
And where kids do graduate, they cannot often read, write, and compute at grade level.
Do we still have a situation where the number one cause of preventable death for young white men is accidents, like car accidents or drownings.
And the number one cause of preventable death for young black men, homicide, almost always at the hand of another young black man.
If the answer to that series of questions is yes, I submit to you that systemic racism is not the problem, and critical race theory and reparations are not the answer.
All right.
That's why they would never debate you.
I mean, I don't know how much I would give, but it would be a lot to have Governor Newsom appear on the stage with you.
I have reason to believe that he is not smug about winning, but I may be wrong.
What's your take?
Well, all I know is that just today, the teachers' union gave him $1.8 million.
And a couple weeks ago, shortly after it was obvious I was going to enter the race, the SEIE union gave him $5 million.
One of the reasons I mentioned going to electelder.com is because he can raise and spend an unlimited amount of money, estimated that he'll spend at least $50 million, maybe even as high as $100 million to defeat me.
I have expenditure limitations of $9 million.
And I'm going to hit that.
And after that, I urge people to spend the money for the two political action committees that push this recall election, because I cannot spend as much money as he's spending.
And why would somebody outside of California care?
Two reasons.
As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation.
We have supermajorities in both chambers of our legislature, in the Senate and in the Assembly, and the Democrats in Washington, D.C. would love to get to that level.
The second reason is this.
I have a lot of friends who live in places like Texas and Florida, Washington State, and they say, why do Californians leave and bring their politics with them?
And the answer, Dennis, is because they haven't connected the dots.
Not that they're stupid, it's that they're working, they're trying to get the DP to buy a house, and they don't realize that the connection between the left-wing people that they've been pulling the lever for and why the houses are so expensive, why the schools are so bad.
So, when Californians leave, don't you want them to at least know why they're leaving so they don't pull the D when they come to your state?
That's a good argument.
Well, it's like the question I keep posing.
You see violent crime going up to epidemic levels, and you vote for the party that made it possible.
That's right.
Just the other day, Barbara Boxer, the former senator of California, got mugged in Oakland.
Her cell phone was taken.
Three days or four days earlier, the black police chief of Oakland held a press conference, and he was complaining about the amount of money that's being diverted from the budget.
And so this is what's going on here, and these are the people that are on your side, and I'm the bad guy?
It's just absolutely insane.
And now he's imposing yet another coronavirus mandate.
Get this.
If you are a state worker and you haven't been vaccinated, they're going to test you once a week, and while you're on at work, you have to wear a mask.
Now, the whole point behind getting vaccinated, and I've been vaccinated, is that you're protected against people who've not been vaccinated.
So you're going to tell somebody who's assumed the risk of not being vaccinated to wear a mask to protect himself or herself against and for other people at work who've also decided not to get vaccinated who've assumed the risk.
Hold on there, Larry Elder.
Go to electelder.com Sharon, and you what?
Things just happened.
My girlfriend and my best friend.
You got 30 days to grow up, son.
Nathan Hennig!
It is good to have you home.
Oh, no.
No, no, it's Nathan.
Well, you don't mind my giving her your room, do you?
Really, though, thanks for taking me from this position.
I thought about you first.
Come on, growing up, I had a huge crush on you.

That's the title of a book by Shoshana Zuboff, whose thinking has shaped my own as we look on the growing power of big tech.
The biggest flaw in most tech companies' business models is a general willingness to loot an individual's personal information, and thus his or her privacy, without payment for this data and without informed consent.
Did you know that a small percentage of apps provide your consent to remotely turn on your phone's microphone and record you after you sign their terms and conditions?
I imagine your response is like mine.
What?
I'd never agree to that.
I am certain a hard line on personal privacy would have a greater appeal to the public than many other issues currently separating the party.
Watch that vast uncharted space in which party moves to restore data that has been taken and to repair walls of privacy that were breached long ago.
Whoever gets there first will be a long-term winner.

I don't understand something, and I'm sure most of my listeners do, but I don't, Larry Elder, and that is why does Gavin Newsom have unlimited expenditures allowed and you don't?
Well, it's a little complicated, but if you want to get on the ballot and have a 500-word statement about you, you have to agree to only spend $9.7 million.
You cannot have that bio-description and raise unlimited amounts of money if you want, but then nobody knows who you are.
John Cox, for example, has been able to spend unlimited amounts of money.
He's a very wealthy guy, and he did not sign that thing that would limit him to the 9.7, but he's run for office before.
And so people know who he is, and he didn't feel the need to do that.
But everybody else, if they're going to know anything about you, you need to have the bio on the voting pamphlet.
So that's what the condition is, and the condition is if you do that, you're limited to a certain amount of money to spend.
I contemplated not signing it, and my staff, my expert campaign people said, no, Larry, you're not going to be able to raise more than that.
And I said, I think I will.
And it looked like, Dennis, I am going to, but now I'm handicapped because of the decision that I made earlier.
But we can also give to the PACs that are working to recall Gavin Newsom.
That's correct.
And they can spend unlimited amounts of money.
And are you allowed to give the names of those PACs?
One is called Rescue California, and one is called Recall Governor Gavin Newsom.
But those are the two major ones that were behind the signature gathering to get this guy off.
So let me just explain, if I may, Larry, for one second, to people.
There is a two-pronged process here.
First, people get to vote.
Do you wish to recall the governor of California?
If you do, then you have a list of people to vote for.
But if you don't want to recall the governor, and that wins, a majority of people vote not to recall the governor.
Nobody even gets to vote for Larry Elder.
That's correct.
And it's a two-step process.
It's real simple.
On the ballot is the very question that you mentioned.
Do you want to recall Governor Gavin Newsom?
That will be counted, of course, later on.
50% plus one has to vote to recall him.
Then the next question is, whom do you want to replace him?
Now you could vote to recall him or not recall him or ignore that question and then vote for somebody to replace him.
So unless 50% plus one votes to recall him, it doesn't matter the number of votes you get to replace him.
I'm far ahead of my Republican rivals.
So I'm not worried that I'm going to be the one to get the greatest number of votes to replace him.
What I'm worried about is whether or not a 50% plus one will, in fact, vote to recall him.
And right now, that is neck and neck.
A new poll just came out, 47% want him recalled, 50% do not, right in the margin of error.
And that's a 5% increase on the side that wants him recalled just over the last two weeks.
Well, the very fact that you mentioned the teachers' unions and the SEI, whatever it is, S-E, what is it?
S-E-I-U union.
Yeah, S-E-I union, right.
Service Employees International Union.
Right.
I think they're the largest union in the country.
Right.
Well, we can thank John F. Kennedy for allowing government work.
Dennis, I'm happy you mentioned that, because I mentioned that to some people talking about the power of the public sector unions.
I said, you know one of your heroes, FDR, when he signed the National Labor Relations Board Act?
He said that there ought not be public sector unions because he thought it was a conflict of interest for a public employee to negotiate his own raise.
And the quid pro quo is if you work for government, you're going to make a little less money, but you're going to have greater job security.
Now they make more money and greater job security.
And can strike.
And can strike.
He thought it was unfair for the public sector people to put a gun to the head of taxpayers and withhold their work until and unless they got paid.
And again, you're right, Jack Kennedy is the one that signed the executive order to reverse that.
And about the teachers' union, there's one other thing, too.
There are 300,000 public sector teachers in California, 300,000.
It is estimated by virtually every expert I talk to, at minimum, 5% of them are utterly incompetent, should never have been teachers in the first place.
That's 15,000.
And by the way, they just got rid of the so-called C-BEST test that required a series of tests to prove minimal competency.
That's what they've gone away with just last year.
And now if you just get a B in a college course, it could be anything.
It could be critical thinking.
You're qualified to become a public school teacher in California, and after two years, you get tenure.
Dennis, you and I have been in radio a long time.
We don't get ratings.
We get fired.
We don't have tenure.
Now, out of that 15,000 that are incompetent, in any given year, 2.2 out of the universe of 300,000 public school teachers are fired.
2.2.
Now, I'm in Los Angeles.
You're in Los Angeles.
The LAPD has 10,000 officers.
Imagine if 5% of them were incompetent.
By that I mean planning evidence, engaging in racial profiling, or using excessive force.
Can you imagine?
We wouldn't put up with that.
We're putting up with 5% of bad public school teachers.
It is outrageous, Dennis.
And again, most black and brown people living in the inner city, they want school choice.
Teachers adamantly opposed to it because The teachers are not automatic union members, and they don't therefore get the automatic dues.
That's why it's so important, my dear listeners, that Larry Elder have a national voice, and obviously a statewide voice in the biggest state, because nobody in the politics at any rate is saying this.
Of course, we say it on radio, but now he has a bigger forum, or at least another forum.
Talking about your forum to speak, why don't you tweet out your magic wand line?
Tweet out your magic wand line.
I will.
I will.
You say things, you bring data that others don't, and you have a voice at the very least through September, and hopefully well beyond that.
You've got to use it, because these will shake people up.
That magic wand question.
Is unanswerable?
Anyone who thinks clearly has to be persuaded by that powerful question.
Well, I appreciate it.
No, no, listen, you know, Larry, the joy that it brings me to that, there's a very real chance you'll be the governor of California, Larry.
I mean, on the rare occasion that you have the moment to think about that, you sort of get goosebumps.
It's almost overwhelming, Dennis.
I'm getting phone calls and inquiries outside of the country.
This is an international phenomenon.
If I can take this guy down.
And Dennis, people in the center are now increasingly being called racist.
It's no longer good enough just to be a good person.
If you're not an anti-racist, you're accused of being racist.
So this is going to strengthen people in the center who are sick and tired of these so-called progressives, pulling them in a direction that they don't like.
This is going to be beneficial, I believe, for the entire country if I'm able to do this.
If you are elected governor, first of all, I think it'll herald the messianic age.
But beyond that, you know, I think in religious terms.
But I'm smiling when I say it.
But I want you to initiate a series of debates with the Ibram X. Kendi's and the Ta-Nehisi Coates of the country.
Wouldn't it be an honor to debate the governor of California?
Larry, the amount of good you can do gives me the chills.
Folks, again, electelder.com or the two PACs that are working to unseat Governor Newsom.
Also, it's all up at dennisprager.com.

The biggest story nationally is that Nancy Pelosi is attempting a coup in the House of Representatives.
The Speaker has never been nonpartisan as they are in the British Parliament, but they have always respected party rule of their own caucuses and committee assignments, etc.
Nancy Pelosi, having lost the effort to get an independent commission established for January 6th, that didn't get through the Senate because it was a not fair piece of law, and therefore it's languishing.
She decided to put together her own committee.
Again, that's her prerogative as the Speaker of the majority party.
She usurped one of the positions on, it's not a fair split, normally it would be 13 members, seven Democrats, six Republicans.
The leader of the Republicans would name the six.
Speaker Pelosi took eight of the seats and named Republican Liz Cheney.
People kind of thought about that for a while.
They didn't like the precedent of the Speaker putting a member on, but they overlooked it.
And Kevin McCarthy named five other members.
Including ranking minority member Jim Banks, a friend of mine from Indiana, who is a relative newcomer, but he is the largest elected member of a caucus in the House of Representatives.
Jim Banks leads the Republican Study Committee.
He has broad and deep support in the House caucus.
And then four other people to go along with Liz Cheney.
And Nancy Pelosi vetoed Jim Banks and Jim Jordan.
And the Republicans are out.
Never before even considered.

Nancy Pelosi never misses a chance to miss a chance to be hyper-partisan and destroy bipartisanship.

Fiance?
No, I can't be a fiance.
You're welcome.
Hi, everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
I am wondering, with regard to Larry Elder, the LA Sentinel is the local black paper in Southern California, and to the best of my knowledge, they haven't written one article about his running, let alone interviewed him.
He cares as much about blacks as the white left does, which is to say, not at all.
When you come to realize these things, your life changes.
Any one of these is an epiphany, a life-changing epiphany.
The left is the only place of systemic racism in the United States.
The black left and the white left both have contempt for blacks and use them.
Larry Elder actually wants to help blacks.
And so he's shut out of the mainstream, i.e.
left-wing black media.
That's it.
His magic wand question is the question in the United States at this time.
I'm paraphrasing, and I believe I'll get it right because the gist is easy to remember.
A magic wand is waved over the United States and every vestige of racism in white people.
Is supernaturally removed.
What problem that blacks face will therefore be removed?
Will the 70% of black kids born to an unwed mother change?
If God himself extirpated every vestige of racism from every white in America, would it change anything?
With regard to being born into a home without a father.
The single biggest crisis in black life.
Okay?
That's why they shut him out.
Because then you don't need black leaders.
By the way, does any other group have leaders?
Can you name a Hispanic leader?
Can you name an Asian leader?
Can you name an indigenous leader?
Can you name a Jewish leader?
How come blacks have leaders?
Isn't that fascinating?
You know why?
They're appointed by white leftists.
That's why.
The malleable for liberalism.
That's what they are.
I would think it's actually demeaning.
Every group...
Seems to work itself out.
Seems to progress in America without leaders.
I'm a Jew.
I can't name one Jewish leader.
How is that?
And I'm pretty involved.
Name the group.
A lot of Hispanics in the country.
Can you name a Hispanic leader?
Does one exist?
Everything is bankrupt.
Or, wow, you know, what we need are more black mayors and black senators and black congressmen and black police chiefs.
So you get more.
Does anything change?
Of course not.
It gets worse.
The contempt for blacks on the black and white left is so deep that every single conservative knows it's true.
Some liberals know it's true but won't face it.
It's too painful to know the contempt for which the left holds black people.
You are so inferior is the belief of the left that we will change math rules for you.
That is the position of the Oregon Education Department as an example.
Such is the contempt for blacks.
You can't handle math.
We'll change the answers for you.
The contempt is so great that whereas we believe that all races should mix, you should have your own dormitories on campuses.
Does Harvard have a black dorm?
No, but they have black convocation.
Black convocation, yeah.
Well, Columbia holds the record.
I think they had seven different convocations.
Gay.
Black.
What if you were a member of two of those groups?
Really, what do they have?
They have at Columbia University, which is a cesspool, and I went there.
So, let's see.
They have black graduation, Hispanic graduation, gay graduation.
Do they have transgender graduation?
I'd have to look it up.
How do you get to seven?
But what if you're a member of more than one?
I guess you get to go to a lot of graduations.
Oh, of course, they have a regular graduation.
They have a white, capital W, white graduation, too, I'm sure.
Any one of these insights changes your life.
As soon as you realize that the left loathes blacks, everything changes.

We are living in the age of surveillance capitalism.

Hi everybody.
I want to remind you about Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage.
Another two guys that are awesome.
I really love these guys.
I had a feeling I would because they were on top of this from the first day of lockdown over a year ago.
They never stopped working and getting people loans when they needed them.
So you get great rates and great service from Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage.
And if you're considering a refi, a new purchase, a cash-out refi, or a reverse mortgage, this is the time the rates are incredibly low.
Bad for the country, but great for you.
It's an interesting conflict, isn't it?
I mean, I've taken advantage of it.
It's not a judgment, it's just a fact.
It is great for us.

David Henderson is with the Hoover Institution at Stanford, senior health economist, with President Reagan's Council of Economic Advisors.
And Hooper, Charles Hooper, is president of Objective Insights, a firm that consults with pharmaceutical clients.
Why is the FDA attacking a safe, effective drug?
The subheading, Ivermectin is a promising COVID treatment and prophylaxis, but the agency is denigrating it.
So while they're telling you, well, you know what, the vaccine really doesn't protect you that much.
You need to wear a mask.
You can't be around people who are infected.
And you'll probably need a booster shot, and we don't know how it'll handle the variant.
In the meantime, I've been taking ivermectin for over a year, as exactly described as a prophylaxis.
I've been around people with COVID. I did no social distancing, no mask wearing within my own home.
I didn't get a sniffle.
Earlier this year, the agency...
That's the FDA. Put out a special warning that you should not, quote, you should not use ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19.
I charge the FDA with killing tens of thousands of Americans with that statement.
Plus shattering the economy.
Because if people took ivermectin, so many fewer would be hospitalized.
So listen, folks, I put it to you pretty starkly.
Either the FDA is misleading you, or I'm misleading you.
Okay?
Except I have a real good record of not misleading people, and the FDA doesn't.
You should not use ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19.
The FDA statement included words and phrases such as serious harm, hospitalized, dangerous, very dangerous, seizures, coma, and even death, and highly toxic.
Any reader would think the FDA was warning against poison pills.
In fact, the drug as FDA approved is a safe and effective anti-parasitic.
Yeah.
They're lying to you about ivermectin.
Because the medical establishment is corrupt.
Period.
There is no establishment in the country that isn't corrupt.
This is all new to me.
I say this with a tear in my eye.
The medical establishment is morally and medically corrupt.
Period.
End of issue.
It has been taken over by people for whom truth is not of value.
Namely, leftists.
William Campbell and Satoshi Omura won the 2015 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine.
I didn't know that they did.
This was fascinating.
Did you read this?
Of course you did.
It's true.
You sent it to me.
Nevertheless, I don't assume you read every word of every article you sent to me.
He said that's fair.
One of the things I love about him.
This is honesty.
Honesty is a big deal.
For discovering and developing Avermectin, which Mr. Campbell and Associates modified to create Ivermectin.
How do you like that?
Pretty good.
Ivermectin is on the World Health Organization's list of essential medicines.
Merck has donated 4 billion doses.
To prevent river blindness and other diseases in Africa and other places where parasites are common, a group of 10 doctors who call themselves the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance has said Ivermectin, is one of the safest, low-cost, and widely available drugs in the history of medicine.
It's painful to me how many of your doctors, poo-poo ivermectin, You know why?
They know less about it than I. And I majored in international relations with a specialty in communist countries.
Now why would that be?
Why would I know more than the average doctor in this country about ivermectin and its safety and its efficacy with regard to COVID? Because I read about it more than they do.
That's why.
Because they're reading FDA reports.
It's sad.
I don't want to know more than your doctor about anything in medicine.
Anything!
Ivermectin fights 21 viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.
A single dose reduced the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in cells by 99.8% in 24 hours, 99.98% in 48 hours, according to a June 2020 study published in the journal Antiviral Research.
Does your doctor know that?
I'll bet he or she doesn't.
This article is up at DennisPrager.com from the Wall Street Journal.

The race is going extremely well.
I'm in a dead heat with Terry McAuliffe, who's been doing this for 43 years.
And Virginia voters are ready for a change.
I think you're actually ahead, Glenn Young, and I'll tell you why.
Dan Ball's had a story in the Washington Post this week that polling is broken in America, systemically understating Republican support.
So if you're tied in the polls, and you are.
I actually think you're five points ahead of Terry, and I think Terry's worn out, tired, and boring, and I don't think he can beat you anyway.
But it's good to run like you're behind, right?
Yeah, it is.
You know, what's interesting is as soon as the polling came out last week, he called his friend Joe Biden, and Joe Biden's going to show up in Virginia campaigning.
He's not coming far.
He's just coming barely across the river.
And I will tell you, what this demonstrates is that Terry's got a failed record.
I mean, when he was governor, the murder rate went up 43%.
We're at a 20-year high in murder rate in Virginia.
He's actually completely ostracized in the entire law enforcement community, and they know he won't stand for them.
And Virginia's economy continues to trail all of our peer states, and everybody blames Terry and Ralph Northam for it.
They shut down our economy.
Terry absolutely didn't bring...
The number of jobs to Virginia that our peer states did.
And Virginians are tired of it.
They're ready for a new kind of leader who's going to build business, grow jobs, fix our schools, and make our communities safe.

I don't know if you saw those crowds, but waiting since Friday, thousands of people.
It doesn't exactly look like someone who lost the state of Arizona, by the way.
But this speech, that clip you played,
that was also one of my favorites when... ...and that was also one of my favorites when... ...and then...
...in a moment.
There's not a lot of time in the final segment, so I'll summarize a call and respond. - So, Steve in Washington, D.C., says people have died because you were telling them not to get vaccinated.
So, number one, I've never said in any way, shape, or form people should not get vaccinated.
Number two, I've said kids should not get vaccinated.
I think it's a crime.
In my opinion, I think that vaccinating children is a crime, literally a crime.
And for all we know, maybe one day people will be held criminally responsible for vaccinating children.
Number three, people die when I advocate raising the speed limit.
This is a new idea in America that if there is a deleterious consequence to a policy, you cannot ever advocate the policy.
People die as a result of a whole host of policies that are done.
What you do, what mature people do, but maturity is pretty rare in the country.
What mature people do is weigh the benefits and the prices that are paid.
And you see, part of the problem, a big part is, I don't trust the medical authorities of my country.
Or, for that matter, of almost any country.
I admit it.
First of all, the highest are in bed with big pharma.
All of a sudden, the left, which my whole life has been tacking big pharma, is now the biggest advocates of pharmaceutical billions of dollars of profits.
There's no profit in ivermectin.
Follow the money, my friends.
Billions upon billions.
There are more billionaires created in the last year in the pharmaceutical industry than in any other one year, to the best of my knowledge.
And they get zilch from ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine and zinc and vitamin D. I think far more people have died because they didn't take ivermectin in time.
Or hydroxychloroquine and zinc in time than have died because they didn't take the vaccine.
That's it.
So it's very clear where I stand.
It will come out one day, and you know what will happen when it comes out?
Nothing!
Because the press won't report it.
That's why.
Because the press is in cahoots.
The press is corrupt too.
Most of you listening know this to be true, but it's painful.

It is wonderful to be with you.
I'm Dennis Prager.
This is my weekly Thursday show.
That is what we know as a pointless line.
But every so often they're wonderful because it's sort of like the brain's garbage disposal.
You need one.
I was reading to you a piece about ivermectin in the Wall Street Journal.
To their great credit, they published it.
It is out today.
And how effective ivermectin is.
I've been on it, by the way.
I do tend to try it at least.
Practice what I preach.
And preach what I practice.
I've been taking ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for a year.
By the way, if you're a doctor, I think that's the current name.
I'll look it up for you.
As I said, I have been around people with COVID. In my home, no social distancing, no masks, got nothing.
Just for the record.
I believe that if everybody had taken ivermectin and or hydroxychloroquine and zinc for the last year, we would have had far fewer deaths.
And that between the vaccination and ivermectin, I would definitely opt for ivermectin for people.
Because it's so effective.
Nothing is obviously, including the vaccine, is fully effective, the way life goes, but it's incredibly effective.
Why they didn't give it out in India in mass doses?
The world has gone mad, in my opinion.
Just mad.
What is Israel?
What is this latest?
Israel is going for a third shot now?
Is that right?
Where is this from?
The Jerusalem Post?
Let's see here.
Israel, Israelis over 60 to get third COVID vaccine jab.
Really?
I gotta tell you, Israel's been disappointing in this regard.
Well, every country has.
Who'da thunk that Sweden would be my hero?
Israelis over the age of 60 who are at risk of developing severe coronavirus are eligible to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
As the Green Pass program came back into effect, what does that mean?
You can't get into any public spaces now without showing you were vaccinated?
Really?
That's really something.
Wow.
They've really panicked out there.
Well, you certainly can't say that I have been politically motivated in my take on the virus and its antidotes.
I have criticized severely institutions that I used to believe in.
I have criticized Israel, I think this stuff is sick.
Why doctors make policy is beyond belief, because they're the experts.
What does expert have to do with wisdom?
Experts know only one thing, unless they're exceptional, which exists.
But experts know their area of expertise.
So it's true, if I want to find out...
How does a virus attack a body?
I would ask an expert.
What we should do on a societal basis, how many people we should bankrupt, how many small businesses we should destroy, is not in the province of a doctor.
I am no more interested in what doctors have to say about destroying people's livelihoods than I am to know what Uber drivers have to say.
No, I take it back.
I am more interested in Uber drivers' view because they're affected by it.
The doctors don't lose a penny in income.
I don't ask people who have no skin in the game to destroy the people who have a skin in the game.
Okay?
All these wealthy folks who are telling you what to do and to close down and not open your business, your restaurant, and to tell kids to be masked and ruin another year of their lives, it doesn't affect them.
It's like Newsom's son in the camp didn't wear a mask, right?
Newsom and his restaurant didn't wear a mask.
Pelosi went to a hairdresser during the lockdown in California, right?
She paid zero price because the press doesn't give a damn what a Democrat does.
It's mind-blowing.
I don't know what they believe.
They believe in power.
I don't think they have convictions beyond staying in power and increasing it.
Some have convictions.
AOC has a conviction.
Destroy the United States.
She does have convictions.
Some 70 clinical trials are evaluating the use of ivermectin for treating COVID-19.
The statistically significant evidence suggests that it is safe and works for both treating and preventing the disease.
And again, if you missed it, ivermectin fights 21 viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.
A single dose reduced the viral load.
Of COVID-19, or specifically SARS-CoV-2, in cells by 99.8% in 24 hours, according to a June 2020 study published in the journal Antiviral Research.
In 115 patients with COVID-19 who received a single dose of ivermectin, none developed pneumonia or cardiovascular complications.
While 11.4% of those in the control group did.
Fewer ivermectin patients developed respiratory distress, 2.6% versus 15.8%.
Fewer required oxygen, 9.6% versus 45.9%.
In other words, six times as many required oxygen in the control group that didn't have ivermectin.
Fewer required antibiotics, 15 versus 60 percent, four times as many.
Fewer entered intensive care.
You know what percentage of the patients taking COVID-19, excuse me, taking ivermectin?
That is patients with COVID-19 who took ivermectin.
You know what percentage entered intensive care?
0.1 percent.
Anyway, there's a whole bunch of other statistics.
Moreover, the drug can help prevent COVID-19.
One 2020 article in Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications looked at what happened after the drug was given to family members of confirmed COVID-19 patients.
Less than 8% became infected versus 58% of those untreated.
How's that?
Among 200 healthcare workers and others at high risk of exposure, only 2% of those given ivermectin developed COVID-19.
10% of the control group did develop it.
If the FDA were driven by science and evidence, it would give an emergency use authorization for ivermectin for COVID-19.
Instead, the FDA asserts without evidence that ivermectin is dangerous.
This is the Wall Street Journal, folks.
I mean, they're going out on a limb here saying the FDA does not use evidence.
Without evidence.
That's right.
Wow.
You know, I wrote about this a few weeks ago in my column.
I learned that the folks in science lie when they...
When they have an agenda.
When I read on the Mayo Clinic site that cigars were as dangerous as cigarettes, it's an out-and-out lie.
It's a pure, undiluted lie.
But why will they lie at the Mayo Clinic, one of the most distinguished medical centers in the country?
Because they believe that it's okay to lie for the greater good.
That's it.
So they lie.
However, they pay a price over time.
People have stopped believing I'm one of them, obviously, medical authorities.
I now assume on anything controversial that they are lying.
We'll be back.

They're to the left of Ben and Jerry.
If Ben and Jerry put out a statement, It would be similar to the American Psychoanalytic or Psychiatric Association.
The general population is far too skeptical to blindly follow the advice of experts and far too intelligent to be easily duped.
So this article of all places slate, they're worried That people will, like me, stop trusting the liars like Fauci.
And that worries them.
Because if Americans stop believing the authorities, then they'll stop believing the left.
So, if there's an agenda at Slate other than love of truth, and there might be in this article, it may simply be a love of truth.
I hope it is.
But if there is a secondary agenda, it is, it's not good for us on the left when people catch on to how much they're lied to.
That's the point.
I don't think they had an article about how much we were lied to about Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.
That's another example.
In March 2020, as the pandemic began, Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the President of the United States, explained in a 60 Minutes interview that he felt community use of masks was unnecessary.
A few months later, he argued that his statements were not meant to imply that he felt the data to justify the use of cloth masks was insufficient.
Rather, he said, he had endorsed mask wearing of any kind.
Rather, he said, had he endorsed mask wearing of any kind, mass panic would ensue and lead to a surgical and N95 mask shortage among healthcare workers who needed the masks more.
Yet, emails from a Freedom of Information Act request revealed that Fauci privately gave the same advice against mask use.
Suggesting it was not merely his outward stance to the broader public.
So, this is from Slate.
This is not from a right-wing source.
Yep, indeed, my friends.
This is the way it works.
Alright, let's see here.
Diane in Chicago, hello.
Hello?
Yes, hi there.
Oh my, it is such an honor to talk to you.
You are spot on every time.
There's so much I want to ask you, but I want to go back to what you spoke of with the ivermectin.
I cannot even believe all the results they're finding with this as far as not only taking it to help heal us, but prevention.
And no one talks about it.
I mean, this Fauci should be behind bars.
All you're saying, how can we get this out?
How can I get this in written print?
Well, it is.
I mean, that's why I mentioned to you that, you know, the Wall Street Journal is pretty powerful and they published this article.
That's the one I've been reading to you from.
And when was that?
Today.
Okay, I'm going to bring that to my school board.
All of us need to be presenting this to our school board.
God bless you.
That is exactly right.
Folks, that's a perfect example of fighting.
Please respond to this, folks.
One of the safest drugs in the world might be the better answer even than vaccination.
Or as good an answer.
Alright?
And so unbelievably safe.
It's criminal.
It is.
I don't know if Fauci should be behind bars, but it wouldn't even, it wouldn't even, it's not something I would even pursue because the press would simply make him a martyr.
They can put the people they want.
We have for the first time in American history political prisoners.
Because of the Biden administration.
Do you understand how much America's changed?
It is dramatic, almost beyond belief.
Ah, where is the article?
Did you send it to me?
Who gave it to me?
The article about the professor, medical professor, who said women give birth and then was attacked severely by medical students for saying that women give birth.
And not using the term birthing person.
Did you see that article?
Can you send it to me again?
I'd like to read it to my listeners.
The speed, it's like Mach 3. The speed with which society is deteriorating under left-wing influence and the Biden administration, which is a vehicle for the left.
There is no one other than perhaps Andrew Johnson who has done as much harm to this country as Joe Biden.
When I think of the millions now that will be coming through the border, because the left believes in open borders, so they get more voters.
Quite remarkable.
Thank you. . .
And this goes to a question that Brian emailed us at freedomatcharliekirk.com.
He said, do you think that masks are coming back again?
Of course.
The mask mandates are going to be pushed forward in every major inner city across the country.
So here's a question.
If so many people are vaccinated, why are rates going up amongst even the vaccinated?
They say, oh, it's an unvaccinated pandemic.
Why are so many vaccinated people being testing positive?
Why is that golfer having his life dream be torn away from him?
What's his name again?
He's a total stud.
John Rahm, who now has tested positive twice.
For the Chinese coronavirus, despite being vaccinated.
What's going on here?
Why is it that we have so many people in charge that want to go back to the inhumane practice of mandatory masking?
Let's play cut eight.
Joe Scarborough says that Biden needs to require public teachers to get vaccinated to get back to school.
Joe Biden needs to make the tough choice right now, and he needs to start in his own political backyard.
And he needs to tell the teachers union that he's going to require every public health care person to get it, but also starting every public school teacher needs to be vaccinated.
Regardless of pre-existing conditions, regardless of exemptions.
Now, of course, Joe Scarbo didn't mean to say public health scare.
Of course, he wouldn't say anything like that. he wouldn't say anything like that.
As I continue to travel around and campaign all around this commonwealth, the crowds are The support is absolutely comprehensive.
It's independents.
It's Democrats.
You know, I was at an event about 10 days ago in Russell County in Southwest Virginia, and a bunch of Democrats came up to me and said, Glenn, we can't even recognize our party.
They're so far left.
We're voting for you.
So we're seeing this everywhere, and that's why we're so confident we're going to win this fall.
By the way, I think President Biden is kind of radioactive because of the inflation.
I want to talk to you about that.
Terry McAuliffe, in this article I hold, says he's got senior citizens on his side.
Senior citizens are the most vulnerable to inflation of any group in the United States, Glenn, because many of them are on fixed incomes.
What do you hear about inflation in Virginia?
Because I see it in the grocery store.
I'm wondering if you see it all over the state.
It's everywhere.
Joe Biden has let the inflation genie out of the bottle.
And we're seeing supply chains and every business actually increase prices.
And that's translating a higher cost to all Virginians.
And by the way, it's not just our elderly population that's going to suffer from this.
It's families that are in fact having to pay more at the pump.
I mean, gas prices are way up.
And in fact, the Democrats in Virginia actually raised the gas tax on top of gas prices going up.
And so we're just absolutely seeing this complete split.
Between fiscal responsibility and, oh, by the way, a recognition that a good, strong, stable economy actually is durable, and what they've created in Washington is going to be a flash-in-the-pan economy, and Virginians are going to suffer as a result.
So when I'm governor, we're actually going to get the job machine turned back on.
We're going to actually bring real business back to Virginia and we're going to actually get small business going again.
We're going to actually bring real business back
to Virginia and we're going to actually bring real business back to Virginia and Virginia.
Hi, everybody.
I want to remind you that August, which we chose years ago because my birthday is August 2nd, so that would be next Monday, and then we would normally begin the fundraising month of August for PragerU, Prager University, where all our stuff is free thanks to the fact that people like you donate, and we're making a very big difference.
We have over 1 billion views a year, mostly young people.
If you walked with me through an airport, you would see all the young people coming over for selfies.
You would be quite moved, as I am.
And we've started a week early because I will be gone a week speaking, giving some lectures in Hungary, and that will be starting next Wednesday.
So that's the reason we started a little early.
Normally, each day...
I interview a young person who's a member of Prager Force.
People love that.
I love it.
These college and high school young people who are members of Prager Force, 15,000 of them.
On occasion, we talk to people who help us.
Remember my famous saying?
Maybe I shouldn't say famous.
My saying, there are three types of good people.
Those who do nothing, those who fight, and those who help the fighters.
Those who do nothing is the largest group, and those who help the fighters are every bit as important as the fighters.
You can't fight without supplies.
So, one of the people who helps us is Kate Bransfield.
And, Kate, it's a pleasure to have you on my show.
Thank you, Dennis.
Good morning.
Thank you.
So, what brought you to help PragerU?
Well, in trying to figure out my will and where to give my hard-earned money, it was really important to me that my money go somewhere where it really is going to make a difference.
There are wonderful think tanks, conservative think tanks around and so forth, but I think they just kind of talk in the echo chamber and they don't make a difference.
I think PragerU really makes a difference.
It's ultimately important that PragerU reaches out to the youth of our country.
Because, of course, that's our future.
That's right.
By definition, that is our future.
Well, first of all, a public thank you to you.
Have we met?
Yes, several times.
We met at the Open LA... Rally a year ago, April.
I met you at...
Oh, you were at the Open LA Rally?
I certainly was.
Oh, that's great.
Did we hug?
You and I shook hands.
Oh, we shook hands.
Yes, we did at the top of...
Yes, and I'll never forget, at the height of the panic, two people who had no idea the other's medical state hugged maskless.
I must have hugged 100 people that day.
But good old ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine did their job.
Anyway, I salute you for coming to that rally in front of City Hall in L.A. Exactly.
Well, bless your soul.
And you too.
And I've also met you at the Beverly Hills rally.
Okay, great.
Bless you.
So tell everybody, so you're a member, the will issue is the Legacy Society of PragerU, correct?
Right.
So why is that exactly?
Well, I put PragerU in my will.
And so when I go to...
Oh, and another thing that was really important to me is we're all going to go to our maker eventually.
And it was important to me to establish that you have...
An organization behind you so that when you go to your maker, that the money that I've contributed isn't just going to kind of go up in smoke or not be utilized well.
And so your organization is really important to me, too, that after both of us are long gone, that it will continue to be good and to fight for our beloved republic.
That's right.
I am happy to say PragerU is way larger than I. It is.
I mean, otherwise I would have failed.
I mean, it's absolutely correct.
Listen, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I look forward to hugging you again.
It's a date.
It's a date.
I love that.
It's a date indeed.
The Legacy Society is if, for those of you...
Who would like to help PragerU at some date in the future, meeting your Maker and your will?
Obviously, you can help us if you're not approaching that right now by donating to PragerU.com, calling 833-PRAGERU. You, my listeners, made PragerU possible.
You were the first folks to fund it.
I will never forget that.
And now, it is doing a lot of good.
We have to change minds or we lose the country.

And Kevin McCarthy named five other members, including ranking minority member Jim Banks, a friend of mine from Indiana, who is a relative newcomer, but he is the largest elected member of a caucus in the House of Representatives.
Music playing.
Music playing.
I've been talking to you about the inability to trust the medical establishment.
Something new in my life.
I didn't realize I would ever be talking this way.
But they are no different than any other establishment.
Basically, gender studies or any of these other phony departments at college.
That's what's happened to...
The medical establishment.
Here's an article, for example.
The nation's largest doctors group released a comprehensive plan aimed at dismantling structural racism inside its own ranks and within the U.S. medical establishment.
Did you know your doctors are racist?
Ask your doctor what he thinks about this.
Seriously.
You know, Doc, the American Medical Association is...
Started a comprehensive plan to root out systemic racism from the medical profession.
So, Doc, just between you and me, are you a racist?
Do you know any other doctors, Doc?
Are they racist?
So, either your doctor is going to say, yep, the truth is, I'm white, all whites are racist, and you've been treated by a racist physician all these years.
Or, what are you, crazy?
I'm not a racist, nor are my fellow physicians.
So then ask a question.
Are you going to write the AMA a letter?
Are you a member of the AMA? Doctors are no more likely to fight.
The left than any other profession.
Cowardice is the human norm in any profession.
Yes, we're working very hard at AMA, the next AMA president, Gerald Harmon, said, to increase not just diversity in the health care workforce, but in understanding health care inequities.
So, let me give you the latest that is happening in the world of medicine.
And this has been reported by Barry Weiss, that terrific fighter who was once a New York Times reporter and then courageously quit the New York Times because it's such a dishonest newspaper.
So, did you?
Yeah, you just put this up.
I've got to find it again.
I want to...
Here we go.
Medical schools are now denying biological sex.
Professors are apologizing for saying male and female.
Students are policing teachers.
This is what it looks like when activism takes over medicine.
This is at barryweiss.substack.com.
B-A-R-I. It's a female name.
About what is happening at medical schools.
During a recent endocrinology course at a top medical school in the University of California system, a professor stopped mid-lecture to apologize for something he'd said at the beginning of class.
Quote, I don't want you to think that I am in any way trying to imply anything, and if you can summon some generosity to forgive me, I would really appreciate it, the physician says in a recording provided by a student in the class whom I will call Lauren.
Again, I'm sorry for that.
It was certainly not my intention to offend anyone.
The worst thing that I can do as a human being is be offensive.
By the way, to be honest, that is really not the worst thing you could do as a human being, being offensive.
The worst thing you could do as a human being has a long list, and it doesn't include being offensive.
That's obnoxious.
It's not the worst thing.
And sometimes being offensive is actually a good thing.
I'm okay with offending real racists.
I'm okay with offending the left, who are the real racists.
I said, so what was his offense?
Folks, what was his offense?
Why is he standing there grovelingly...
Apologizing for it in medical school, he used the term pregnant women.
I said when a woman is pregnant, which implies that only women can get pregnant, and I most sincerely apologize to all of you.
This is a medical school professor, a professor of medicine, University of California.
I don't know why Barry Weiss didn't make the professor's name known.
But it would only help add to the credibility.
But we have the recording.
You understand this?
A medical school professor is apologizing to medical school students for saying women, pregnant women.
And not what?
Pregnant person.
Not only women get pregnant.
This is what is being taught at medical school.
Do you understand why I have contempt for the medical establishment?
What does this engender in you?
Does it engender respect?
Do you think they will tell you the truth about anything if they're not prepared to say only women get pregnant?
Yes, my dear friends, only women get pregnant.
So do men who think they're women.
Excuse me, women who think they're men.
Got that one wrong.
That's correct.
And I don't mock them.
That is not the issue.
The issue is not what do they think they are.
It is what they are with regard to medicine.
It's not the first time Lauren had heard an instructor apologize for using language that to most Americans would seem utterly inoffensive.
Words like male and female.
Why would medical school professors apologize for referring to a patient's biological sex?
For the same reason that so many medical professionals said it was okay to demonstrate en masse without masks for racial justice.

If they had reports before January 6th that there could be violence, why did they do it?
Why did they do enough about it?
Those are legitimate questions.
Pelosi doesn't want those questions.
You think she's going to get those questions from Adam Kinzinger?
Here was Stephanopoulos with a cagey, grinning...
Maniacal Nancy Pelosi yesterday on ABC this week.

Medicine.
In medical school are apologizing for saying pregnant women.
We have a recording of it.
Why would medical school professors apologize for referring to a patient's biological sex?
Because Lauren, that's the given name here in the article for the medical student who recorded this, in the context of her medical school Quote, acknowledging biological sex can be considered transphobic.
Unquote.
When sex is acknowledged by her instructors, it's sometimes portrayed as a social construct, not a biological reality, she says.
In a lecture on transgender health, an instructor declared, biological sex, sexual orientation, and gender are all constructs.
Biological sex is a construct?
I'm sorry?
In other words, by the way, I'm surprised that they even think sexual orientation is a construct.
I thought that was fixed.
Some of the country's top medical students are being taught that humans are not, like other mammals, a species comprising two sexes.
The notion of sex they are learning is just a man-made creation.
The idea that sex is a social construct may be interesting debate fodder in an anthropology class, but in medicine, the material reality of sex really matters, in part because the refusal to acknowledge sex can have devastating effects on patient outcomes.
Yep.
So, my friends, this is what your kids are learning at medical school.

And please call me Larry.
And when Dennis first approached me to run, Carl, I said, you know, two things could happen.
I could lose, I could win, both are bad.
And the reason I turned...
It's because you know the state.
The state is dominated by lefties.
Two-thirds supermajority in the Senate.
Two-thirds supermajority in the Assembly.
And then, of course, you have this left-wing governor.
And this has been the way the state has been run for decades.
That's why climate is going up.
That's why we've got a problem with homelessness.
That's why the quality of schools has gone down.
And that's why people can't buy a house.
And so many young people are leaving and going to places like Tennessee and Florida and Texas.
So I thought it was hopeless.
But then more and more people began to approach me, people I respect, like Lionel Chapman, the longtime filmmaker, people like Pastor Jack Hibbs, and more and more people said, well, Larry, if not you, who, and if not now, when?
I hope that doesn't sound arrogant, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt that I'd be shirking my morals and spiritual responsibilities if I didn't at least try.
I never liked politics.
I never run for anything.
Check that.
I ran for fifth-grade president against William Moyes.

Or you can call me a risen junior, instead of a rising senior, a risen junior.
I love that.
That's a good one.
I will.
A risen junior.
And Julie is...
I think so highly of her that she will, in fact, be sitting in and doing a whole show when I am in Hungary in a week, giving some lectures.
So, Julie, good luck.
Thank you.
Only because everyone needs luck.
It's just part of life.
But you don't need a lot.
So, what's on your mind?
Well, the Olympics is on my mind.
I imagine that it's on a lot of other people's minds, too.
You know, it's so sad what's going on right now.
And I was thinking last night as I was watching the coverage of it, what's going on at the Olympics right now epitomizes your phrase that everything the left touches, it ruins.
Which, by the way, to be honest, I used to think when I was first discovering you, I used to think that was a little sensationalist or kind of oversimplistic.
I have been unable to find an exception.
It is so true.
And look at what's going on at the Olympics, okay?
First of all, there's no audience.
I mean, do you know how egregious that is?
That these athletes have to compete with no audience?
Their family members aren't even allowed to come and watch them?
Even watching it on TV, it just takes the energy out of the whole thing.
Looking at these athletes swimming alone in a pool, playing alone on the soccer field.
And, you know, that is a total political statement.
That is totally the result of the American left way over exaggerating COVID. Look, I'm not unreasonable.
If they want to do an audience at half capacity or even if they want to do only vaccinated people, that's fine.
But to just outwardly deny any spectators?
It's criminal.
Another one is look at what we're seeing with these American teams with the athletes taking a knee.
I think that rooting for sports teams nowadays has become The only socially acceptable way for people to demonstrate patriotism.
Because showing pride in your country nowadays is so maligned.
You're basically called a white supremacist if you're holding an American flag or if you say that you love the country.
And they've taken that from us.
I don't feel patriotic.
I'm not rooting for the American soccer team anymore when I see them.
Taking a knee, and they have contempt for the country that they're representing, and by the way, that they're making all their millions off of.
That's terrible.
That's a result of the American left, you know, hyping up that these athletes are good for protesting and that America is such a horrible place.
And even the final example I'll point to is...
Look at what's going on with Simone Biles and how she's the gymnast who bowed out because of mental health issues.
You know, I actually have sympathy for her.
I think that she has been, I think every ounce of her soul has been squeezed out by the American media.
I think they put so much pressure on her.
They create the conditions where she has these mental health issues.
But then, in a weird way, I also think they're rooting for her downfall because it gets them woke points.
They don't care about her.
They care about the story.
They get to go, oh, you know, we're so virtuous.
We care about mental health.
We love what this athlete is doing.
And it has just created such a horrible, horrible Olympic Games.
It's totally the result of the left.
Well, there's also, the Japanese seem to have been paranoid.
I mean, apparently, what I read was 70-80% of the Japanese didn't even want the Olympic Games.
Yeah.
So I think it's fear.
I think there's a lot more fear on the left.
But to be fair, I think that it even transcends...
The left damages everything it touches.
Obviously, I agree with you on that.
But I think in the case of the Japanese Olympics, it is also just paranoia.
I mean, I don't know why people can't say, whether they're Japanese or American, If you're scared, don't go to the games.
If you're not scared, go.
Why is that not an option?
I agree with you.
But I think it's because the left has created such hysteria.
Oh, yeah.
You can't even do that.
You can't have it at half capacity.
Yes, around the world.
That's the point I want to make.
Yes, no, that's fair.
I didn't comment on my show on The Gymnast.
Right.
And the reason I didn't, and I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm just saying why I didn't, Is I have no position.
You know, if she really, on one of her, I don't know what it would be called, but in one of her exercises where she does, obviously, something up in the air, and she doesn't know where she is, that was what she claimed?
I mean, that's dangerous.
Totally, it is.
So, look, the pressure, if you're called the greatest gymnast on earth, it's a lot of pressure on you.
You get a silver medal, it's not good.
Yeah.
So, I don't know what to say.
All of these columnists, everyone wrote a column on her, you know, saying how courageous it was, what she did.
I'm not saying it isn't.
I have no position.
How could I know what goes on inside of her?
On the one hand, one could say, look, that's the price you pay for being the world's most famous gymnast.
That comes with the territory.
On the other hand, She's still a human being, and human beings cannot all take such pressure.
Look, you're a swimmer.
You could relate, and you're not in the Olympics, but you were on your swim team.
Oh, I talked about it on your show, I think, last week.
This hyper-competitive culture that we're living in and the pressure that's put on people, especially athletes, to crank out accomplishments.
Hey, I said it.
I have enormous respect for Simone Biles.
I have a lot of sympathy for her.
But I think...
The point I want to make about the media is that I think it really bothers me when people on NBC are sitting there and they're going, oh, she was so courageous and we support her and isn't it so horrible?
They created the conditions.
They were the ones that put so much pressure on her and they feed into this celebrity athlete-obsessed culture and then they turn around and they're saying that.
They don't care about her.
They care about the story.
Let me ask you about this pressure issue because the only team...
I was on my high school basketball team, but it's a joke that I was on the team.
I was on the team because I was the tallest kid in the high school.
I had as much basketball talent as I do culinary talent.
So I felt zero pressure.
My only pressure I had was not to be put in the game.
I have to interrupt here.
You have to interrupt?
Yes, please.
You have much more basketball talent than culinary talent.
Oh, oh, oh.
All right, so say it on the air.
Give him the microphone for a second.
It is a rare moment where the living martyr has him.
I just simply couldn't let the remark go unremarked.
Yeah.
Because you say it often.
Two things.
First, your basketball talents are much superior to your culinary talents, so that's A. B, you're actually...
A pretty good basketball player, and I suspect always were.
Because we played many, many games back in the day of horse, and you won a lot of those games.
So I don't even like hearing you say that.
Because you make it sound like you were some awkward kid thumping down the court and you couldn't shoot a basket, and it's just not true.
So this is a rare opportunity for me when you never exaggerate, and if you ever do, you do it in the reverse direction.
So I'm correcting you in this instance.
I have never heard him speak on air.
I am here every single day, all day.
This is a great moment.
No, no, these are great moments.
He's never come on air before.
The listeners revel in it, as I do.
So it's very sweet of you to say that.
You know I never say anything sweet.
Okay, so his comment was, you, Dennis, know I never say anything sweet.
Look, I'm not going to pursue as an argument how bad I am at basketball.
However you are probably right, I am better at basketball than in cuisine.
So that correction is sustained.
Which only...
is a statement about my culinary abilities, which are limited to scrambled eggs.
However, having said that, my scrambled eggs are second to none.
Be back with Julie Hartman.

Here was Stephanopoulos with a cagey, grinning, maniacal Nancy Pelosi yesterday on ABC this week.
Will you be appointing more Republicans to the committee like Congressman Adam Kinzinger?
That would be my plan.
So when will that be announced?
Perhaps after I speak to Adam Kinzinger, but I'm not about to announce it right this minute, but you could say that that is the direction that I would be going on.
He and other Republicans have expressed an interest to serve on the select committee.

Why are so many vaccinated people being testing positive?

Hi, everybody. everybody.
Dennis Prager here with Julie Hartman, who within 10 days will be America's youngest national talk show host for a day.
No, really.
She's 21. Gives you an idea of my faith in her.
We got off on this very funny tangent about my having or having not basketball ability because we raised the Olympics and you spoke about The pressure on the gymnast, and then I talked to you about, I know you were on the swim team.
In fact, you had a very high ranking in California in swim.
So, what is happening, when I was a kid, there were just as many sports programs, maybe not as many for women, but there were many sports programs, and it was mostly a lot of fun.
And over time, It became, I'll tell you what gave the game away for me.
When I would see fathers running onto the field in some baseball game that their kid was playing, who was in the sixth grade, and screaming at the umpire.
And I think, you've got to be kidding.
First of all, what a horrible model you are to your child.
But secondly, it matters to you?
That much?
What has happened, do you think?
Oh, Dennis, you have no idea.
That, what you just said, that baseball example, that is what I observed every day of my life as an athlete in high school.
I actually talked about this on the radio, I think, last week, how just the level of involvement of the parents has turned so absurd.
I remember I would go to swim meets and water polo games, these tournaments, and parents of other Kids on my team would be screaming bloody murder at their kid during the game.
They would be screaming at me if I ever made a mistake.
I'd get out of the pool and they'd go, what was that, Pat?
What did you do on that?
You know, they were so intense.
Actually, this is a very interesting story.
When I was a junior in high school, I was up in Palo Alto at the Junior Olympics for water polo.
The parents on my team were so abusive.
My own parents actually pulled me out of the tournament.
The coach was so abusive and the parents were so abusive that my own parents said, you know what?
I am not going to allow this.
I'm pulling her out of the tournament and we flew home.
It was really, it got that bad because parents are now living through their kids.
Ah, that was it.
That was my point.
You made it.
Yes, they are.
They're totally living through their kids.
So here's a great question.
Why did that happen?
I don't know the answer, by the way.
Do you have a theory?
I don't have a theory why parents are living through their kids more now than 50 years ago.
I do.
I actually, last week I said this, I think that it has to do with the decline of religion, which may seem like a very outlandish explanation, but I don't think it is.
Because they get their meaning now.
Yes, they get their meaning.
There's no purpose beyond yourself.
It's only accomplishment, accomplishment, accomplishment, and you get that through your kids.
And I'm glad you think that.
I'm saying that not in a totally sincere way, because I want, everything ultimately comes down to the secularization of society.
Everything does.
That's been my message of 35 years on the radio and longer than that off the radio.
Things just, they fall apart.
You have misplaced values.
It's true.
It would be very interesting to see if religious parents, Jews, Christians, Protestants, Catholics, Mormons, if they are as obsessed with their children's And by the way, I wouldn't be surprised if many are.
are.
I think that secular society has affected religious society very adversely.
And I have talked to the priest at our local church actually said to me recently that he's, I think, 90 years old.
He said that he has noticed that church attendance has declined, and a lot of it is because parents will say, I have to take my kid to the swim meet, I have to take my kid to the soccer game.
They used to prioritize Sundays were holy days.
Now they don't.
In Jewish life, I encountered this from the beginning of my speaking in Jewish life in my 20s, like you.
People would say, look, I know the Shabbat, the Sabbath is important Friday night, but that's when they have basketball practice.
Yeah.
Or that's when they have a game.
And I even gave them workarounds.
Okay, so let them go to the game, but why does that stop you from having a Shabbat dinner with your kid, except for the game?
But nothing mattered.
The game.
The game.
Priorities are everything in life.
So Harvard, your school, has announced that you're going to have to wear a mask in class.
I guess not just in class, everywhere.
Indoors, they said.
What about outdoors?
I'm serious, do you know?
No, I actually think they aren't requiring it outdoors.
I believe only indoors, but that may change.
I wouldn't be shocked if it did.
Whether you're vaccinated or not, obviously.
Yeah, I mean, they are requiring us to get vaccinated.
We cannot go back to school unless we are vaccinated.
So you can't, there's no way you can know the answer to this, but if you want to guess, I'd be curious.
If Harvard announced, okay, folks, you read the newspapers, you're following what's happening, you, the students of Harvard, we trust your intelligence and common sense.
If you think you should wear a mask in class, please do.
If you don't feel, you don't have to.
What would the percentages be?
That's interesting.
I'm kind of of two minds.
I think on the one hand, my generation really takes COVID very seriously, which in some ways is a good thing, but I think...
The media really over-exaggerates the threat it is to us, so they internalize that, and they wear masks everywhere.
But then on the other hand, I think a lot of people are fed up, and I think finally people my age are starting to see that, especially for people my age.
I want to make that point.
I don't say this about all age groups, but especially for people my age.
Horrible to require us to wear masks indoors.
I mean, when this decision came out, I have to say a lot of my friends, even the very liberal or lefty ones, they were texting me going, oh God, I can't believe this.
Because it is so illogical.
They are requiring us to get vaccinated.
There is no evidence that COVID harms people our age.
By the way, even if you had COVID. Yeah, by the way, I had COVID. But they don't care.
I had COVID, so I have the natural antibodies.
I'm vaccinated.
And then they have me wear a mask indoors.
It's a political statement.
That's what it is.
A political statement.
I think it's also actual bona fide paranoia.
Yeah.
I agree.
And that, too, I think is related to secularism.
People are more afraid of everything, including dying in the secular world.
I am religious.
I don't want to die, but I'm not afraid of it.
I'm not consumed by, will it kill me?
I'm consumed by, I want to live a full life while I'm here.
That's a very big difference.

Well, Carl, first of all, thank you so much for having me on again, and please call me Larry.
And when Dennis first approached me to run, Carl, I said, you know, two things could happen.
I could lose, I could win, both are bad.
And the reason I turned around is because...
You know the state.
But then more and more people began to approach me, people I respect, like Lionel Chapman, the longtime filmmaker, people like Pastor Jack Hibbs, and more and more people said, Larry, if not you, who, and if not now, when?
I hope that doesn't sound arrogant, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt that I'd be shirking my morals and spiritual responsibilities if I did at least try.
I never liked politics.
I never run for anything.
Check that.
I ran for fifth-grade president against William Moyes.

So thank you for calling, David.
And the reason he called was I had spent a lot of time on the show today about this article, talking about this article, as I have talked to you about ivermectin and even earlier hydroxychloroquine and zinc from the beginning.

I mean, that's really going out on a limb for the guy, and I agree with him.
Vast numbers of Americans died because the medical establishment went along with the pharmaceutical companies rather than with science on a cheap drug, virtually free, ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
Deep, deep corruption.
You know when they interview Scott Gottlieb, and they always say, former head of the FDA, they never say, and member of the board of Pfizer.

On occasion, I've seen it.
Overwhelmingly, I haven't.
Do you say that's relevant?
Would you say that it's a little suspicious that you go from the FDA to the Pfizer board?
And I'm supposed to believe that there's no financial interest?

So it's very, very simple.
The banner is at DennisPrager.com.
All right, JR, who picked up my line on Eastern Europe.
To your great credit, JR and Columbus.
I can't believe it's still called Columbus.
They can't handle Cleveland Indians, but they're still calling Columbus Columbus?
Just give it a couple more months.
Don't worry.
It'll change.
I expect it to be indigenous Ohio.
Well put, and I'm actually moving to Nashville in six months.
You and half the country.
You know how many people I know from California?
You're going to meet more Californians in Nashville than in LA. Well, I'll feel right at home because I used to live in Mission Viejo and my best friend is still in Santa Barbara.
So, I'll fit right in with those boys and girls.
Alright, so why'd you call?
Okay, so here's what I called.
Not me, my family, or my extended family or friends have watched one minute of the Olympics this year.
And what is the reason?
Because we are disgusted by the USA team and the way they just...
I want to use harsher words, but I won't.
The way they just insult...
The country that has provided for them their entire life.
Why don't they all just move to China?
Well, that's where their heart might be.
J.R., thank you.
I know it's not your first call, and you're always a joy.
I assume I'm right about that.
Did you know that the Costa Rican gymnast...
She made a BLM fist.
Did you see that?
Look that up.
I don't want to get my country wrong.
I believe it's Costa Rica.
And it was an amazing thing to see.
She took a knee.
She mimicked exactly what is done in America.
The poison spreads.
Costa Rica?
Yeah.
Right.
I think she's a medalist.
Did she get a silver medal or something?
In any event...
She did it after her routine.
She did it after her routine, yeah.
18 years old, if I'm not mistaken.
To honor Black Lives Matter.
To honor Black Lives Matter, yep.
Which is a hate organization.
If you cannot identify BLM as a hate organization, there are only two possible reasons.
One, you support what they believe and think you're a lover.
Not a hater.
Two, you're a coward.
Those are the two possibilities.
In your heart, you know it's a hate organization, because it is.
Hates America, hates whites, hates blacks who don't agree with it.
It just hates.
It does no good for the country.
None.
It just does bad.
Right?
For the record.
But this 18-year-old thinks she's a moral giant.
Right?
It doesn't help people who might watch the Olympics.
But they've allowed it.
The IOC, which has always been a disgusting organization, International Olympic Committee, they have allowed all sorts of political gestures.
Not understanding, we want to watch sports.
I don't know what's going to happen.
It's going to be very interesting.
Just the article about hers.
Yeah, the article about hers.
Yeah, I read it.
So I got my facts right, right?
Yeah.
18 years old, Costa Rica.
But the whole thing is so disgusting.
Yeah, it's disgusting.
Completely supports his point.
Completely supports J.R. of Indigenous's point.
That is exactly correct.
All righty, everybody.
Let's see here.
Karen in El Segundo, California.
California, hello.
Yeah, good morning.
So I'm supposed to be following Eastern Europe's behavior.
Would that be Belarus?
Do I need to mimic their behavior, their government?
Is it Belarus?
It's a little odd to identify all of Eastern Europe with one of its tiniest countries.
Did you ever hear of Poland?
Did you ever hear of Hungary?
Did you ever hear of the Czech Republic?
Yeah, they're almost, they're all, Krola is pretty much a right-wing place, a place like me, a black person, let's be celebrated, and I do love Black Lives Matter.
You can talk about them all you want.
I can say the same thing about some Jewish organization.
By the way, Tell me what Jewish organization is a hate organization.
There's a bunch of them.
Name them.
I've named BLM. What is a Jewish equivalent?
Say it again?
Name one.
Name one.
If you don't name one, you've lied.
Okay, you're right.
The JDL is a hate organization.
I agree with you.
The JDL doesn't exist.
Okay, the JDL... So, okay, you know what?
If you want to say BLM and JDL are similar, fair enough.
JDL did some good things.
Everybody does.
Almost everybody does.
But I didn't like it at all.
I debated Mayor Kahana on national radio in the 1980s.
You can find it, actually.
It's somewhere on YouTube.
Anyway, that didn't quite work, did it?
I could name some Jewish organizations like BLM. All right.
Thank you for calling.
It's always good to hear from those who differ.
And yes, Eastern Europe, I would say that if there will be a revival of Judeo-Christian values and a rejection of the left-wing movement toward the abolition of national identity, it's so interesting.
The left celebrates racial identity, but loathes national identity.
It's all backwards.
It's all backwards.
Nations unite races.
We'll be back in a moment.
Trending now on the Mike Deliger Show.
Here's Tom Hanks.
They enlisted Tom Hanks.
They probably paid him a boatload of money.
Then again, maybe they didn't need to because he's worth all the money.
Maybe he's got all the money he needs.
How about one of the most famous actors in America, Tom Hanks, making this major announcement?
Together we stand with all who understand what it means to be born and built from the land.
Because this is the city we love.
And the game we believe in.
And together, we are all.
Cleveland Guardians.
Now, you know they sat around and said, all right, we got to make this change.
How are we going to tell our fans that we're not?
I know, said the owners of the Cleveland Indians, I don't even know who owns the team, could care less.
I don't even follow professional sports that closely.
Maybe you do.
It's boring.
It's boring to hear people yammer about professional sports.
The only people that are interested are people that are really into sports, and that's fine, but most people aren't.
It's just a fact.
Most people don't live and die by, you know, the statistics and the standings in the AL West.
I mean, and I'm not putting you down if you do, but most of us don't.
All right.
So I don't know who owns a team, but don't you just envision, what are we going to do?
Let's get to, we'll pay Tom Hanks $10 million.
We'll put together a slick.
Video with dramatic music and we'll show all these great shots of Cleveland and we'll try to convince people that we're uniting by changing the name of the Cleveland Indians since 1915. Some
lawyer hit a little girl.
The community is left in shock as former cancer patient Sharon Blackwell was struck by an oncoming vehicle...
Take this into evidence, sir.
You've been accused of texting while driving.
We don't make an example out of this guy the public will crucify us.
Before you take your daughter off life support, give God room to be God.
You're not guaranteed another day, but you have today.
Get back, I'll shoot you.
The one's left inside for the pastor and his two daughters.
If you run, I'll shoot your family.
Nobody cares whether I live or die.
It's okay.
I'm not going to stand around and be a part of it anymore.
It's okay.
Give me the gun.

*Music*
*Music* Hi everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
And Rosemary in Michigan.
I don't know what city, but we'll just say Michigan.
Hi, Rosemary.
Hello, Mr. Prager.
Hi.
You read my comment?
Yes, what you said about BLM is very wrong, so I immediately went to your call.
No, it's not very wrong.
Do your research.
I know friends are in there.
No, no, no.
You asked me to read what is written on the screen.
They do not hate like you're saying.
The whole movement, basically, it was against police brutality.
How many blocks?
How many?
No, Mr. President, you're wrong.
You're wrong.
No, no, no.
Before I'm wrong.
I'm sorry, you're wrong.
Look it up.
Look it up.
Research it.
Okay, I do.
All right.
I feel bad when I want to dialogue.
What am I going to say?
My dear Rosemary, who already hung up.
About 16 unarmed blacks were killed in any given year in the last few years by police.
And right, I'm not done.
I know.
It doesn't mean that they didn't threaten the policemen terribly.
In the case of...
Of Ferguson, Michael Brown was reaching for the policeman's gun and wanted to shoot him.
He was exonerated by a largely black jury.
Obama's Department of Justice exonerated the policeman.
And yet, Obama, before he left his term, spoke about Ferguson as an example.
Of police brutality against blacks.
Police brutality against blacks is extremely rare if you mean because they're black.
It's extremely rare.
Especially given how many interactions with blacks there are.
Since blacks commit a highly disproportionate amount of violent crime.
But no liberal would say that.
And no leftist would say that.
Because they're cowards.
In the case of liberals, it's cowardice.
In the case of left, it's meanness.
Desire to make angry people.
That's the reason people listen to non-mainstream broadcasts.
We tell much more truth than CNN, NBC, NPR. New York Times and Washington Post put together.
That's the way it is.
Okay, everybody.
Sorry I couldn't take you.
Paul, Heidi, Isaiah, Joan, Bob, Frank, and two others whose names I don't see.
I'm Dennis Prager, and I remind you, it's fundraising month for PragerU.
