Dennis Prager Show - Unconscious Racism? What Does That Even Mean? Aired: 2021-06-22 Duration: 04:28 === Unconscious Racism in Academia (02:57) === [00:00:00] And there's another giant, Mark Lamont Hill. [00:00:03] Racism is something that is unconscious. [00:00:06] Unconscious. [00:00:06] Just remember the next time, how come haters of blacks don't know it, but haters of Jews knew it? [00:00:19] It's an interesting, different form of hatred, isn't it? [00:00:23] God, if only Jews had to deal with unconscious anti-Semites, six million of them would be alive. [00:00:31] You have to understand, if you get an advanced degree in anything, it means nothing. [00:00:40] It means you studied hard. [00:00:42] You don't understand how many fools, how many morons get advanced degrees. [00:00:47] It doesn't say a thing about your ability to think clearly, your decency, your character. [00:00:56] I was brought to California by a wonderful human being who was 50 years older than me. [00:01:04] Dr. Shlomo Bardeen. [00:01:05] He was the founder of the Brandeis Institute. [00:01:09] It was actually, it became the Brandeis Bardeen Institute. [00:01:14] And Justice Brandeis was one of the founders. [00:01:17] Anyway, I was brought to California at the age of 25 to be the director by a 75-year-old man. [00:01:25] He died the week that he publicly appointed me a successor. [00:01:30] It was very dramatic. [00:01:32] I didn't even know he was ill. [00:01:35] But anyway, he used to say, he had a somewhat thick Russian accent. [00:01:41] He used to say, you know, it is very possible to be a PhD and an SOB. This is something this man said a generation ago. [00:01:57] But somehow, PhDs venerate PhDs. [00:02:02] Most non-PhDs have a clear understanding that it tells me nothing about you other than you studied hard. [00:02:13] That's all. [00:02:16] And this woman is an example of it. [00:02:20] So next time you hear unconscious racism, ask the person, were the anti-Semites in Europe? [00:02:29] During the Holocaust, were they unconscious anti-Semites? [00:02:36] Go ahead, please. - And it is actually in everyone, And everyone uses these words systemic. === Why Racism's Discourse Fails (01:45) === [00:02:47] They're like, you know, I know that racism is systemic. [00:02:50] And yet, individually, when you call them out, they'll be like, well, it's not me. [00:02:54] You can't say that. [00:02:55] That's right. [00:02:56] That's exactly right. [00:02:57] Yes. [00:02:58] It's not me. [00:02:59] You can't say that. [00:03:00] That's correct. [00:03:01] You're a hate-filled human being. [00:03:04] You're a liar and a hater. [00:03:06] That's all you are. [00:03:08] The fact that you are on black television is a disgrace to black television. [00:03:14] Go on, please. [00:03:15] And so there's a disconnect between use of the word systemic and saying that racism is everywhere, but the moment you point it out individually, there's sort of people disown... [00:03:23] Well, it isn't everywhere. [00:03:25] That's part of the lie, too, Killinani. [00:03:28] Mark Lamont Hill? [00:03:30] It's not everywhere. [00:03:32] I got a great proof of that. [00:03:34] It's my column this week. [00:03:36] Why have millions of African blacks and Caribbean blacks decided to move to America, and 10 million more, if not 20 million or 30 million, want to move here? [00:03:47] Ask that to your liberal or left. [00:03:50] That's a question to ask both. [00:03:52] If America is systemically racist, Are black Africans who come here in the millions idiots? [00:03:58] No Jews moved to Germany. [00:04:00] Again, the example with the Jews is really, really telling. [00:04:04] Jews didn't move to Germany in the 30s because Germany was systemically anti-Semitic. [00:04:10] For that matter, blacks didn't move to Germany either. [00:04:14] But what about that? [00:04:18] Do you think every black who comes to this country is an idiot? [00:04:23] You have to. [00:04:24] You can't have it both ways. [00:04:25] Why would one move to a place where they will be hated?
