A unanimous Supreme Court decision was just handed down.
Was it handed down today?
I think it's today.
Just handed down, and it concerns the Catholic adoption agencies.
Give children who they have for adoption to same-sex couples, or are they allowed to only give children to married opposite-sex couples?
The Catholic doctrine, as the Jewish doctrine, as the Protestant doctrine.
Is that marriage is between a man and a woman.
One of the things that people hate about religion is that the truly religious, not the woke, actually believe that the religion is right and the New York Times is wrong.
For many Catholics, Protestants, and Jews, the New York Times is right and their religion is wrong.
In a nutshell, or even more precise, perhaps, is their hearts are right and their religion, the Bible, is wrong.
Hence, the Bible warns, probably warns against this more than any other thing, not to follow your heart.
And we live in the heart-based society.
How do you feel is the...
The big issue.
There have been a number of consistence in my 35 years of broadcasting.
One of them is warning about a feelings-based, heart-based society.
How do you feel about it, etc.
Now, I know same-sex couples.
Indeed, my wife and I are godparents to a same-sex couple's two sons.
And the kids are terrific, and we love the parents, the two men.
Nevertheless, I support the decision.
I know that if you went to college, what I just said is very, very complex, but it isn't.
One can appreciate the reality on the ground while still holding true to one's beliefs.
That where possible, a child should have a mother and father.
This doesn't disparage two fathers.
It doesn't disparage two mothers.
It doesn't disparage single mothers or single fathers.
If religion does not hold out an ideal, what the hell is it useful for?
Answer that one.
I can't think of a more important purpose of religion than to provide Ideals for society.
This is the ideal family.
This is the ideal way to live a life.
That's what religion is for.
People think religion is for, and I deeply appreciate this, a relationship with God.
That's lovely.
But if you have a relationship with God and you don't get your ideals of life from God, Then the relationship is not relevant to society.
For the record, that is the way my religious convictions work.
What does God want from me and from my society are my operative questions, not how is my relationship with him.
It's an interesting ultimate issues topic.
What do you think the purpose of religion is?
That's a very important subject.
So, Catholic Charity says, look, we have all of these married men and women, married men to women, married women to men, who would like to adopt.
They're first on our list.
This is not a knock on singles.
They don't give children to singles.
To the best of my knowledge.
Heterosexual singles, for that matter.
Straight, heterosexual, cisgender singles.
They want a married man and a woman to have first crack at a baby or at a child for adoption.
It's not anti-anybody.
It is to hold true to a religious ideal.
Which the Catholic Church has not been doing much, especially under this Pope, who is a child of liberation theology in Argentina.
Nevertheless, in this case, it has held fast to its biblical roots.
It is astonishing to me, to be perfectly honest, that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Catholic charities unanimously.
It certainly knocks the wind out of the argument that a conservative court is the problem, and then we have to pack it with left-wing judges so as to undo the only institution in society the left doesn't control.
When you have four liberal-slash-left judges agreeing here.
If religious conviction, if allowing for religious freedom means anything, then it means something in this case.
You can't tell Catholic charities that they have to redefine family if they have a child.
Of course, it would be interesting to see how it's depicted with all these liberal judges siding.
What are they going to say?
Well, they'll say they got it wrong.
And we at the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, CNN, New York Times, Boston Globe, NPR, PBS, CNN, I already said CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC. We know better.
People who have not thought this issue through at all.
Do they really believe that any adoption agency should be blind to this issue?
You are not prepared to say all things being equal.
Obviously.
If you have a spectacular, to the best of your knowledge, same-sex couple, and you have a dysfunctional heterosexual couple, Okay, we understand, but that's not the issue.
The issue is a wonderful same-sex couple and a wonderful opposite-sex couple.
Is a Catholic charity supposed to take the position it doesn't matter?
My opposition to same-sex matter was exactly on that issue because the argument was, and I turned out to be right, unbelievably right, What I said the whole time was, their argument is, gender doesn't matter.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, now you know what it led to.
Not only does gender not matter, we have gone from gender does not matter to gender does not exist.
And by the way, it's inevitable.
If something doesn't matter, If the existence of something doesn't matter, then maybe it doesn't exist.
You can't matter less than non-existence.
1-8 Prager 776 is the number.
877-243-7776.
This is a very...
A very powerful decision on the part of the Supreme Court and the fact that it is unanimous.
I think it's somewhat of a tribute to a man about whom I've had some ambivalence, Justice Roberts, Chief Justice Roberts.
But I think what he has done is won the trust of the liberal-slash-left of the court.
has been able to get a number of unanimous decisions which have run in a way that we would identify generally with the conservatives.
But it is amazing that this even became an issue.
If you have a mother and father and you have a couple with no father or no mother, why wouldn't an adoption agency be allowed to first use the married man and woman?
This is why we're fighting for the soul of America.
You should be able to share ideas without fear of being fired from your job or shouted down.
You are not to be heard.
This is one of the few things we have no precedent for in the United States.
You have the right to remain silent.
Judge Thomas, you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth to help you guys.
I do.
I was under a constant attack.
You're not really black because you're not doing what we expect black people to do.
We know exactly what's going on here.
This is the wrong black guy.
He has to be destroyed.
So you'd still like to serve on the Supreme Court?
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.

Democrats have spent the past year pursuing an obvious contradiction, calling for more gun control while also sympathizing with the Defund the Police movement.
They've argued simultaneously and disingenuously that law-abiding Americans don't need firearms for self-defense because of the police.
At the same time, they have provided support for those who want to scale back or entirely eliminate policing.
The astounding new data on gun sales shows Americans aren't buying either argument.
The New York Times reported that a record number of first-time purchasers have bought guns in the past year.
Half of those are women, and 40% are evenly split between Blacks and Hispanics.
Household ownership percentage has spiked seven points after years of remaining flat.
Gun ownership has become even more diverse, and in many areas where police are in retreat, even more necessary.
Joe Biden's gun control push will make his party look even more radical and even more out of touch.

Avery was trying to start a Turning Point USA chapter at White Bear Lake High School.
She woke up one day and all of a sudden was flooded with accusations that she was sending text messages just like Hunter Biden sent.
Very similar.
Same language, same vocabulary.
The school, of course, because she was a white conservative female, decided to try to destroy her life.
Protests in the middle of class, walkouts, teachers and administrators.
This reached such a...
High level of a boiling point that the Federal Bureau of Investigation got involved to investigate the racist messages that allegedly Avery sent.
The FBI later cleared Avery's name, saying that she did not send these messages.
And up until recently, I missed this story.
It was a black female who actually staged the entire hoax at White Bear Lake High School.
A black female made up the entire thing.
A total hoax.
The school district was trying to protect her name, but now the name has been leaked to the media.
All the outrage, all of the attack on Avery Severson.
And so those of you that see what happened to Hunter Biden, deep down, you get angry about this because, you know, if this was your child in a New York City preparatory school, if this is your child in Riverside, California or in Chicago, your child would be kicked out of school and your life would be ruined.

My apropos of the subject that I've just been covering, the Supreme Court unanimous decision that Catholic charities cannot be forced to give children who they have for adoption to same-sex couples, the importance of fatherhood is beautifully portrayed in the movie The Streets Were My Father.
85% of youths in prison come from fatherless homes.
Is that not sort of dispositive, as they say in the legal world, about the importance of fathers?
In my video for PragerU on fathers, I note all these articles about how fathers really are necessary in the woke press like the New York Times.
So, to see this important and inspirational film about young men who went from gangs, well, from gangs to fathers, from gangs to God, as it were, go to SalemNow.com, as it were, go to SalemNow.com, buy a copy or copies for anyone you know.
or just stream it.
It's called The Streets Were My Father.
It's at SalemNow.com.
It's very important to see inspirational movies.
This is the story with the Supreme Court here.
And it's quite an extraordinary story.
I'll be very interested to see how they deal with the fact that the liberal justices said that religious freedom was important.
Of course they'll condemn it, but they must be scratching their heads at the New York Times.
Where there is absolutely no difference between two members of the same sex and two members of the opposite sex, because the sexes don't exist anyway.
A very interesting issue arose about, actually, it was our resident Harvard Heretic girl.
You were mentioning to me of an all-girls school.
You attended an all-girls school, right?
And your friend is still at that school whom I met yesterday, a 16-year-old girl.
And what do they do if one of the students says, I'm a man?
Well, they don't ask the student to leave.
So it's not an all-girls school.
You can't have it both ways.
Either it's an all-girls school and the transgender male must leave.
Or you don't believe that transgender male is really a male.
There's no third possibility.
Correct?
It's all kabuki theater.
Do you understand?
The whole leftist world is theater.
It's the theater of the absurd.
Really, what do you do?
A girl at your all-girls school has announced That she is not she, but she is he.
Do you take it seriously?
If so, you cannot stay enrolled.
But they allow them to stay enrolled, so it's not an all-girl school.
So either it's a lie that she's a boy, or it's a lie that it's an all-girl school.
This is the absurd that we have entered here that we have to believe in.
Now, I am reading here.
Education Department extends Title IX Protections to Transgender Students in Reversal of Trump-era Guidance.
By the way, on every ground, virtually every ground except tweets, I profoundly miss a man who became a great president, Donald Trump.
Tell you this, had he won, and there had been COVID, the amount of rioting would have dwarfed what you saw.
Then you would have had close to an insurrection.
I think a lot of people voted for Joe Biden so that they'd not be rioting.
People don't like to confront.
The Education Department yesterday announced that it would expand the definition of the federal civil rights statute banning sex discrimination in federally funded education programs to include gender identity amid a national debate over whether biological males should be allowed to compete in girls sports.
So let me explain how everything in that sentence depicts what is so wrong in society.
The moment federally funded money is mentioned, Ronald Reagan's famous line comes to my mind.
It is, by the way, the line that turned me into a Republican.
I was a Democrat until he ran for president.
In fact, I voted for Jimmy Carter.
That was my last Democratic vote.
One might say it was my last mistake in the voting arena.
His famous line, government is not the solution, it is the problem.
People don't understand how true that is.
The genocides, with one exception, was it Burundi?
In Rwanda.
Not Burundi, in Rwanda, where it was more tribal.
All of the mass genocides, Redundant genocides are generally massive.
Were taken by governments, big governments.
At college you learn that more evil was done in the name of religion than anything else.
That's only because colleges don't care about truth.
In fact, more evil was done by secular regimes.
In the same span of time than any religious regime.
That's number one.
Number two, it was done by governments.
Without strong government, you can't rub out a race or an ethnicity or a religious group.
Back to the United States, federally funded.
Why are colleges federally funded at all?
Do you know what the Harvard's, what is the term again?
When you have all the savings?
Yes, all this money, all this money.
They have a, thank you, endowment.
What is the Harvard Endowment?
How many billions of dollars?
Thirty-eight billion dollars?
Now they're the richest, but many have billions of dollars.
And there's still federal money?
See, you have to understand, the moment that there is federal money, there's federal control.
back in a moment.

Three million dollars from the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow.
For all of these services, what would they...
Let me ask the naive question.
Was there some product?
Was something manufactured?
Was there engineering services?
What are we talking about for these millions and millions and sometimes billions of dollars?
Or was this just buying connections, John?
Yeah.
The Education Department yesterday announced it would expand the definition of the federal civil rights statute banning sex discrimination in federally funded education programs, which means virtually every college, to include gender which means virtually every college, to include gender identity.
So that means a biological male who declares himself to be a female must be allowed To compete in women's sports.
There you go.
And now you understand why conservatives fear governmental interference almost always.
It never ends.
The income tax began at 1%.
That was the income tax.
They had to pass a...
An amendment to the Constitution to have income tax because it was not considered to be consistent with a free country where you just took away people's income.
And they passed the amendment.
Well, 1%.
Well, 2%.
Well, 10%.
How about 20?
20% is very low.
Let's go to 30. Let's go to 40. Let's go to 50. I pay more than 50% between California and federal.
In other words, half of my income is given to the government.
See, the reason I sleep so well is that it's used wisely.
This gives me great peace of mind.
to know that I work half the year for California and the United States government.
When Barry Goldwater opposed civil rights legislation, and I remind people, Barry Goldwater, Radford President of the United States, deeply conservative Republican, Radford President of the United States, deeply conservative Republican,
And Barry Goldwater was from Arizona where he helped found the Arizona NAACP. He was so committed to civil rights for all races that he was a founder of the NAACP in Arizona.
Very few people know that because it doesn't comport with the picture they like to paint of the man.
He opposed civil rights legislation.
I was a very young child and thought he was wrong, and he was right, and I was wrong, as it turns out.
Not because I have any sympathy for discriminating on the basis of race.
That is pure racism.
By the way, that pure racism is only advocated on the left today.
Did you know that Chapman College in California has a black graduation now, joining Columbia and many other places?
Anyway, I have decided to call Columbia University, in light of my wokeness, Indigenous Peoples University.
If they had any courage of conviction, they would drop their name, which is named after Columbus at Columbia University.
But they won't.
They'll drop Columbus Day, but they won't drop Columbia University.
So Chapman College is the latest to have.
Did you see the list of graduations?
Was there a transgender?
There was an LGBTQ graduation, a black graduation, and some others.
So they do believe in discriminating on the basis of race.
That's among the many theoretical ironies.
But Goldwater was right because he understood all this will do.
That America will come to realize that not serving a black at a restaurant is despicable and stupid.
Or stupid and despicable.
I'm not sure in which order it goes.
And it would have died anyway without government coercion, because once you let the government in, it's like the 1% income tax.
It metastasizes.
Perfect word, because that's the word used for cancer.
That's what has happened.
It never stops growing.
Now the government will subsidize daycare.

I think that's been rather established.
And it goes on and on and on.

Of course, we know there's very little to no outrage at all from the activist press.
What I find to be very interesting about this whole story Is how Hunter Biden and his lawyer, going back using very racially charged language, including a meme between Barack Obama and Joe Biden, again saying the N-word.

Because so many Americans are on the fence, spiritually, economically, and you can have all the money in the world and be poor, and you can have not a lot of money at all and be rich.

You know, I'm a dad.
I have two sons.
And I know that, I think, a big part of being a father is, because I know this with my own father, may he rest in peace.
And I'm curious about you.
I'm going to ask the living martyr.
You know, I never ask to have an answer I want to hear.
I'm curious.
I know that consciously and somewhat subconsciously, the question, what would my father do, plays a significant role in my life.
Does it in yours?
See, that's fascinating.
That is truly fascinating.
So the two of us have that.
And it's a healthy thing to have.
A lot of people don't have that.
They don't respect their father or they don't have a father or what have you.
And whenever I think of what my father would do, I think it would be the sword of the attitude, screw them, don't live in a china closet.
It's famous words to my mother whenever she wanted me to put a jacket on in cold weather.
If he wants to get sick, let him get sick.
That was basically my father's view.
It's called that.
You don't want to wear a sweater or a jacket?
Get sick!
And I didn't get sick.
Pretty much the body knows when it's cold and it wants a jacket.
Government tells you everything now.
Everything.

The government will stop funding your university if you do not allow men who identify as women to compete against women in women's sports.
We have entered the realm of the absurd.
This is not a rights issue.
It's a fairness issue.
It's not fair to biological females.
So what's going to happen if it happens more and more?
And the answer is, it'll happen more and more.
That's what happens.
Who's going to report the girls who have lost their dreams of winning a scholarship in track?
We have a video at PragerU of a girl who exactly happened to her in Connecticut, where transgender females hold virtually every track record now in high school in Connecticut.
That is males identifying as females.
They lost when they were males.
So they decided to win as females.
Ta-da!
There you go.
These people are narcissists.
They are the quintessence of selfishness, of self-centeredness.
And they're made out to be paragons of human rights virtues.
You're a male who identifies as a female?
Fine.
I've got no issue with you.
You have no right to compete against girls, however, in sports.
That's the point.
But not now, not with this woke administration.
So, as of yesterday, everything that could go wrong, all the controls of the federal government over colleges, are now manifested in this manner.

Hi.
Where your evidence came from that segregation would have ended on its own?
Because it took federal troops and four federal acts of Congress to end segregation.
And if it had taken two decades to three decades to end on its own...
That's a very fair question.
I don't know how long it would have taken in the South to integrate.
My suspicion is, in the light of the way things developed.
That it was not government coercion in most cases.
In some cases, it certainly was.
I know that anti-Semitism decreased in the United States dramatically without government intervention.
And I think that the same thing would have held true for anti-black sentiment.
Would it have taken a dead generation or people would have been denied opportunities for two or three generations?
Well, if you're right, then laws were necessary.
It's a very fair question.
I don't think it would have taken 30 years for Southerners to sit at the same counter as a black at a restaurant.
It's a very fair question.
You're right.
So all I'm asking, which is the great conservative-liberal, not just conservative-left divide, we see the price, and liberals never ask, what is the price?
Never.
They just go forward, this feels right, let's do it.
Whether it's a lockdown, or masks, or laws forcing people to do the right thing, by the way.
This is the right thing to end segregation.
And yet, it's the left, supported by liberals, that has re-segregated America.
Black graduations are the norm now.
At left-wing universities, which is redundant.
Virtually every university is left-wing.
A price was paid.
That's all I'm saying.
I supported it much of my life.
I now see the price paid that Barry Goldwater prophetically predicted.
The government intrudes in everything in life.
That the government could force colleges, force them, to have biological males compete in female sports.
It's the logical conclusion.
It's the endgame in what began as a noble enterprise.
For the left, there is no end.
There are only beginnings.
That's the problem.
Whether it's the 1% income tax or it's anti-discrimination laws, it never ends.
We shall return.

so John just a few days ago you had this story emails by Hunter Biden that they were going to quote unquote conquer a turbulent world lobbying the Italian regional president the French ambassador targeting sovereign wealth funds to make money for themselves when his daddy was vice president.
But moments ago...
A far bigger story about the federal authorities having...
Peanut Hunter Biden during the 2016 election.
I've dipped into it in the seconds I had before the show.
Just one of the sentences that struck me.
Of the $27,778 that were paid every month to the company, portions were kicked back to an American Ukrainian who helped them land the job.
Tell us what your readers, we're posting it right now, the minimum they need to know.
Yeah, listen, I think the most important thing about this story is it undercuts the primary argument that the Democrats had for impeaching President Trump.
Remember what the argument was when they impeached him over Ukraine.
The president abused his power because he asked for an investigation into Burisma Biden in Ukraine, and Hunter Biden had not done anything wrong.
That was the line that Joe Biden down the line.
Everybody said it.
Now we know in the summer and spring of 2016, Hunter Biden and his lawyers and his accountant and his corporate executives knew he had failed to pay taxes, not on just any money, the Burisma money.
He was getting about a million dollars of Burisma money in 2014 and 2015. He's the vice president's son.
He doesn't pay taxes on it.

Democrats have spent the past year pursuing an obvious contradiction.
Calling for more gun control while also sympathizing with the defund the police movement.
They've argued simultaneously and disingenuously that law-abiding Americans don't need firearms for self-defense because of the police.
At the same time, they have provided support for those who want to scale back We're good to go.

Gun ownership has become even more diverse and in many areas where police are in retreat, even more necessary.

There was a story of a young woman, including the White Bear Lake Police Department, by the name of Avery Severson.
Protests in the middle of class walkouts, teachers and administrators.
This reached such a high level of a boiling point that the Federal Bureau of Investigation got involved to investigate the racist messages that allegedly Avery sent.
And so, those of you that see what happened to Hunter Biden, deep down you get angry about this because you know if this was your child in a New York City preparatory school, if this was your child in Riverside, California or in Chicago, your child would be kicked out of school and your life would be ruined.

Of all of these dealings, whether it's the more than a billion dollars from the National Bank of Communist China to Hunter Biden's company, whether it is the 80,000-plus dollars every month from Burisma, whether it is, what, is it $3 million from the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow?
For all of these services, what would they...
Let me ask the naive question.
Was there some product?
Was something manufactured?
Was there engineering services?
What are we talking about for these millions and millions and sometimes billions of dollars?
Or was this just buying connections, John?
Yeah, mostly buying connections.
Listen, the earlier story you mentioned that came out a couple days ago, Hunter Biden...
Gets invited to a state dinner by his father.
He chums up with the French ambassador.
And two days later, or a week later, he's calling the French ambassador.
It was so good to meet you at the dinner.
I got a business deal in France I need help with.
I got a partner in France who needs help.
That's what Hunter Biden was.
He was a Rolodex dialer of high and powerful people.
Welcome, everybody. - Bye.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Purpose of my program is to clarify life.
Okay, got that out of the way.
I welcome you.
I'd like you to hear the Navy Chief of Operations speaking to Congress.
Admiral Michael Gilday.
Admiral Gilday, I have to ask you about something first.
That I'm concerned about, many people are, and a lot of people in the civilian world, I sent you a letter with two dozen people on it, concerned that you had recently added several books to the Navy's professional reading list promoting critical race theory.
And one of these books is Ibram X. Kendi's How to Be an Anti-Racist.
And it argues that the entire American system is corrupted from top to bottom by racial prejudices which account for all differences in outcomes in our society.
And one sentence out of that book says the only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination.
The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.
Now, I understand that this is a voluntary reading list, but how does exposing our sailors to the idea that they are either oppressors or oppressed and that we must actively discriminate to make up for past discrimination improve our Navy's readiness and lethality for great power competition?
Sir, initially you mentioned critical race theory.
I'm not a theorist.
I'm the Chief of Naval Operations.
What I can tell you is, factually, based on a substantial amount of time talking to sailors in the fleet, there's racism in the Navy, just like there's racism in our country.
And the way we're going to get after it is to be honest about it, not to sweep it under the rug, and to talk about it.
And that's what we're doing.
And that's one of the reasons that book is on the list.
Doesn't mean I have any expectation that anybody believe or support every Everything that Mr. Kendi states in his book.
I don't support everything that Kendi says, but the key point here is the sailors in our Navy have to be able to think critically.
They have to be able to look outwardly at China and Russia, and they have to understand what those societies, why those societies are a potential danger to the United States.
Inwardly, we have to understand ourselves, and we have to understand critically that we value diversity.
Okay, Admiral, I agree that we should have a robust and great discussion, and any racism should be uprooted and taken away.
I absolutely agree, and I endorse that.
But should we have future discrimination?
You don't endorse that particular statement, do you?
Sir, I have to look at the context of it.
I'm not trying to be evasive, but as I mentioned, I don't support everything that Kendi asserts.
I don't believe everything I read.
All right, fine.
First of all, I want to salute this guy from Iowa, this congressman.
Really well done.
Number two, the dishonesty here, you could choke on it.
I don't support everything the book that I recommend.
Do you have any of Larry Elder's books on your list?
Do you have any of Tom Sowell's books on your list?
How come you only have blacks who hate this country?
Liars.
Ibram X. Kendi is as big a liar as any propagandist from any totalitarian regime.
He's an intellectual fraud.
He's a hate-filled human being.
It's a hate-filled book, Admiral.
That's what it is.
The only thing it has in common with books is that it's bound and has paper.
It's a hate manifesto.
The armed forces are, in fact, within the realm of the human being being a flawed creature among the least discriminatory places in the country, and it has been known as such.
People of every race get along generally, terrifically in the armed forces.
You're screwing it up, Admiral, because you want to be woke.
You want to be liked by the New York Times.
You should resign.
Anybody who gives cadets or midshipmen or officers in the Navy Ibram X. Kendi is filling their minds with crap.
And I wouldn't even mind if you did, if you filled their minds with anybody else.
You don't want to expand the dialogue.
That's a fraud.
Where's Larry Elder or Tom Sowell?
Or Jason Ridley?
Or Riley, sorry, Jason Riley, correct?
Our man, our terrific guy.
I mean, I can give you so many, Jack or John McWhorter.
I mean, the number of terrific black intellectuals.
Who's the great economist who just passed away?
Walter Williams.
Is any one of their books on the list, Admiral?
That's what I wish the congressman from Iowa had asked him.
I'd like to see the whole list.
Well, I don't agree with everything.
Well, yes.
But the central thesis is discriminate.
The central thesis is that the only reason that there is inequality of outcome is because there is systemic racism.
Do you believe that, sir?
Do you believe that the disproportionate number of males in physics is because we discriminate against females in physics?
Oh, there's a brilliant young female physicist.
I have no desire to promote her.
Do you actually think that that operates in physics?
If you're a brilliant female physicist, you're going to go so far right now.
You will be a living example of the laws of physics insofar as very fast projectiles are concerned.
This is what the armed forces are coming to, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh, God, they lie to themselves.
It's so, so sad.
We want to expand their thinking.
You're full of crap.
Admiral.
I hate to say this.
This is not like me.
I never spoke this way.
But the left is destroying the country, folks.
So everything in my verbal arsenal will be used.
They're destroying the country.
Do you understand that?
Liberals, you vote for people destroying the country.
You liberals love the country.
You vote for people who hate it.
Because you have been brainwashed into believing we conservatives are your enemy.
That's the issue in this country.
The naive, foolish liberal who doesn't believe almost anything the left says.
What exactly do we conservatives say that you differ with that makes it impossible to vote for a Republican?
Give me an example.
And don't say Donald Trump.
There are plenty of Republicans before Donald Trump you didn't vote for.
What was the problem there?
Was Mitt Romney too right-wing and incendiary for you?
In the book of incendiary politicians, he doesn't appear.
What a disgrace, this admiral.
What a disgrace.
But always remember this, when anybody says, oh, we want to expand their minds with Ibram X. Kendi or with Ta-Nehisi Coates or these other America-hating intellectual frauds, then just say, okay, we're all for that.
Where are all the brilliant conservative black writers on your list?
Name one.
They don't even know they exist.
Last week a student, where was this?
At Boston University?
You talked about the importance of defining racism.
Wait, wait, wait.
We have to explain who's asking whom.
A student's asking a question to Ibram X. Kendi.
But unless I missed it, which is possible.
I didn't hear your personal definition.
Is there one that you would offer us?
Like, how do you define racism?
Sure.
So racism, I would define it as a collection of Racist policies that lead to racial inequity that are substantiated by racist ideas.
Sure.
A collection of racist policies that lead to racial inequity that are substantiated by racist ideas.
And anti-racism is pretty simple using the same terms.
Anti-racism is a collection of anti-racist policies leading to racial equity that are substantiated by anti-racist ideas.
And an example.
I agree with him.
I have no problem with that as one of the definitions.
If there are racist policies leading to inequities, I'd like to know what they are.
What is the racist policy that has disproportionately fewer black astronomers?
I'd like to know what it is.
Disproportionately fewer black violinists in major orchestras.
They have blind auditions.
Thank you.
Secret Service agent, it was always there.
I mean, but here are some things that apparently are not lies.
Illegal border crossing attempts reaching a new high under Joe Biden.
180,000 in the month of May.
Federal law enforcement at the US-Mexico border stopped over 180,000 people.
Who tried to enter the country illegally last month.
It's the highest number in more than two decades.
You're doing great, border czar.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is snapping now at reporters openly.
It took a Univision reporter to get under the skin of the thin-skinned Vice President Kamala Harris.
This is classic.
This is good.
I said I'm going to go to the border.
When are you going to the border, Vice President?
The administration has asked.
I'm not finished.
I said I'm going to the border.
She loves that, I'm not finished.
Remember when she did that to Mike Pence?
I'm not finished.
Has there ever been a more unlikable politician in the history of the United States of America?
She's cringe-worthy.
And she just keeps getting worse.
So we know that they're messing up.
We know the border is a catastrophe under Biden.
How about the economy?
The U.S. economies?
Inflation rate is the highest in 13 years.
Prices surging.
Consumers are seeing higher prices for most of our purchases.
Things like vehicles, cars, and trucks leapt 7.3% from the previous month.

Would you give us an update on where we stand on dates and deadlines and all that kind of stuff?
Well, I'll tell you, we have a lot of, as usual for Governor Newsom out here, a lot of unclarity.
They have not set the recall election date yet.
Our best guess to you is that it's going to be in November.
And in the meantime, as I think, you know, Newsom has been touting for a while that, you know, in June 15th, he was going to fully reopen the state.
But as we learned just last Friday, he's decided he's going to keep the state of emergency.
And, you know, once again, it's Newsom changing his mind.
Showing his true colors to try to retain power at any cost out here.
Now, the amazing thing to people who live across the United States, they know generally there will be a recall, such as took Gray Davis out and put Arnold in.
It's an unusual circumstance.
But what is different now from then is not being able to know when the election is.
How do they get away with that, Mayor Faulkner?
Well, look, you hit the nail on the head.
And what you saw is the democratically controlled legislature.
A year or so ago, decided to change the rules.
Look, at some point, they know they have a deadline.
It's actually coming up.
Our best guess is, as I said, that they're going to set it for November.
But, you know, for us, it doesn't matter.
I will tell you, Hugh, Californians are angry.
They are frustrated.
That's why 2 million Californians signed this recall petition for a governor that is failing, and not just failing on the pandemic, Hugh, but really...
It's failing on all of the major issues out here in California in terms of homelessness, affordability, rising crime.
So look, we're ready.

Richard in Washington, D.C., hello.
Hi, how are you doing, Dennis?
Long-time fan of the show.
Thank you.
So, I've got a little bit of an issue with...
The comments that you were making about Admiral Gilda and my concern, and this is kind of in context of having served in the military now for about 18 years, what are the critical problems, in your opinion, that the military is facing as we go forward?
And what kind of skill sets do service members need in order to collaborate and work?
To overcome those hurdles.
Well, why aren't the answers self-evident?
You need competent, honest, courageous people, like you always did.
It's more than that, Dennis.
The issue is that you need diversity of thought, and you need people that can think laterally and lack groupthink.
Additionally, what context do you have for...
Do you think the left encourages groupthink or individualthink?
It's not a political issue, Dennis.
It's an issue of diversity of thought.
What does that mean, diversity of thought?
So would you like to have fascists in the armed forces?
That'll give you more diversity.
It has nothing to do with that.
Then you're not making sense.
Okay, I'm asking you a question.
Answer me, or I will politely get rid of you.
You want diversity of thought.
I'm asking you a question.
If you do not answer, I will say goodbye.
I will answer you, you will answer me.
Those are the rules that I establish.
You don't like it, don't call me.
If you want diversity of thought, would you like Ku Klux Klan thought, fascist thought, and anti-Semitic thought?
Or do you just want diversity?
I think it's a stupid comment you made.
That's what I'm saying.
Because you don't really want diversity of thought.
You want thought you agree with.
You want thought that doesn't fall out of alignment with the uniform code of military justice.
Okay, all right.
Okay, listen, I appreciate your call.
I do, but I don't know what you're talking about.
This mantra of diversity...
The irony is, of course, diversity of thought is exactly what is lacking at the university.
And it is lacking in the admiral's statement.
That's what I asked.
Is there one black conservative on the list?
Why are only black radicals on the list of reading material?
Okay.
It is what it is.
Let's see there.
Clinton, Washington, Kenneth.
Hello.
Good morning.
Dennis, I served proudly in the United States Navy for four years aboard a wonderful ship with many black shipmates.
My lieutenant commander was black.
At no time did we ever think one of us were better than another.
We really got along.
This diversity thing to me is beyond my imagination.
When we had a collision at sea, all of us went to our duty station when we had general quarters, and we saved each other's lives, but we did not do it because one was white or one was black.
That's exactly right.
I know that.
If anything, the armed forces...
Look, especially if you go into a war zone, your buddy is your link to life.
And your buddy could be any race.
Any ethnicity?
Any religion?
Any no religion?
That is correct.
Minneapolis, Joe.
Hello.
Hi, boss.
Yep.
Are you speaking into a phone or a speaker?
Joe, Joe.
I'm sorry?
Are you speaking into a phone or a speaker?
No, I don't have a speaker on.
I'm listening to my phone.
Okay, it's a little muffled.
It's muffled, but I can hear you.
Okay, I'll try to be quick then.
Anyway, as an auto parts delivery driver, I get to listen to you almost every day.
I've had one for many years, and so I do believe that I only flew in almost years ago.
It has a lot to do with you in your program, so I thank you for that.
I was listening to the comments of the Admiral, and I found them terrifying because, quite frankly, as an auto parts delivery driver, we need the leaders in our military to be a lot smarter than me.
And quite frankly, the things that he was saying were so foolish.
Listen, you're an auto parts delivery driver.
Let me just say this.
I, like William Buckley, would put my hand on the Bible to prove to people that I mean this.
I would trade in auto parts delivery drivers for professors.
To teach our kids any day.
And at the rate the military leadership is going into wokeness, I would happily have you serve in that position.
We need wisdom and courage.
And what we now have is flakes.
The answers to this congressman's questions were depressing.
Ibram X. Kendi.
Well, I don't agree with everything.
Right.
Like we should have discrimination?
He advocates discrimination to remedy past discrimination?
Is there any other country that has that?
Germany had an anti-Semitism that overwhelmed the anti-black racism in the United States.
There were no death camps for blacks in the United States.
Two-thirds of European Jewry were wiped out.
Two-thirds of the babies.
No, in fact, 100% of the babies, basically.
A Jewish baby was wiped out.
Are they in Germany saying, well, what we need today in light of that is reverse discrimination?
We'll discriminate against Germans who are not Jewish?
Would Jews want that?
Are they clamoring for it in Germany?
The answer to discrimination is no discrimination.

Did you deliberately make a virus that you wanted to do harm to the world and then it leaked out?
Well, why would the Chinese want to make a virus?
That equally kills them.
Did this man say that?
Did he really say that?
You know who the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world is?
Don't take me.
Take the Washington Post.
Who was the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world?
Asked the Washington Post August 3rd, 2016. It continued.
Most people probably assume the answer is Adolf Hitler, architect of the Holocaust.
Others might guess Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, who may have indeed have managed to kill even more innocent people than Hitler did.
Many of them as part of a terror famine that likely took more lives than the Holocaust.
But both Hitler and Stalin were outdone by Mao Zedong from...
1958 to 1962, Mao's great leap forward policy led to the deaths of up to 45 million people, easily making it the biggest episode of mass murder ever recorded.
What did Dr. Fauci say?
Why would the Chinese develop a virus that would equally kill them?
Are you kidding?
Dr. Fauci, have you heard of Tiananmen Square?
We still don't know how many people were killed.
Some say thousands.
We'll be right back.
And it's my weekly Thursday visit with Julie Hartman.
I have dubbed her, though the title will only work for another year, which is very funny.
The Harvard Heretic.
She's a student at Harvard.
Do they use the term rising?
Is this a new thing?
Are you a rising senior?
Yes.
People say that.
So are you a risen junior?
I very well could be.
I think you should start that.
That would be very unique.
I'm a risen junior.
But if you're a rising senior, what happens?
Oh, so you drop rising once it starts.
That's it.
There you go.
So, rising.
Are they dropping the terms at Harvard?
Freshman, sophomore, junior, senior?
For some reason they're deemed sexist?
No, they're not doing that at Harvard, although I have a friend who goes to UChicago, and she solely refers to it as first year, second year, third year.
What was wrong with sophomore, junior?
I know freshman has the horrible term moon in it.
I don't know.
I didn't know that it was political.
I just thought it was a colloquialism at these different schools.
Everything's political.
True.
So, Julie, what is on your mind today?
Well, what's on my mind today is I want to talk about something that has been on my mind for a very long time.
And there is an epidemic I've noticed among high school students, both at elite private schools and elite public schools, where students, it's a huge scam, where students...
Fake that they have a learning disability or they pay off a doctor to get extra time on their exams.
Usually they use it to get extra time on the SAT or the ACT, although now it's gotten to the point where these students can get extra time just on their everyday exams, their math class, their English class.
And I really want to talk about it because I think it touches on an issue that you talk about a lot on this show, and it's...
The huge disparity between the affluent and the non-affluent in this country, not just in terms of the material things that they have, but in the way that they behave.
And I don't think there's a greater example of that than what we're seeing at these high schools.
I was actually reading a Wall Street Journal article about it, and they cited the fact that at certain public schools in Scarsdale and Weston, Connecticut, in affluent parts of Massachusetts, Over a third of the student body at some of these schools get extra time on exams.
Now, how does that work?
Do all of these students have learning disabilities?
Of course not.
But they're doing it to game the system.
And I am by no means saying that this is just a liberal thing.
But the point that I do want to make is that What I've noticed is that a lot of these liberals, they'll wag their fingers and they'll preach about social justice, but then they don't practice it in their own lives.
How is this a quality of opportunity?
It's not.
I did not know this, so this is a revelation to me.
I'm not surprised in the least.
I want to ask another question, obviously related to this.
I oppose extra time for students with disabilities.
I oppose it.
And I'll give an example.
Would any of you listening to my show right now want a person in medical school to have extra time on an exam because of a disability?
And would you want that person to be your surgeon?
If extra time doesn't matter, everyone should have extra time.
I, I, I, the...
Am I wrong?
I mean, seriously, I might be wrong.
What do you think?
Well, I think the real issue...
Look, I have an older sister with very severe autism.
I am incredibly sympathetic to people who genuinely have learning disabilities and they need extra time.
What bothers me is, and this is the biggest part of the scandal, in high school, when students get extra time on the SAT, they are not obligated to report it to colleges because apparently it is a HIPAA violation.
So that is what gives fuel to the scam, that people know that college admissions officers won't know that they got extra time, so now everyone is just pulling any card they have to get extra time.
And the thing that is very absurd to me is, look, I applied to college three years ago.
On that application, there is nothing they don't ask you.
They ask you how much money your parents make, what religion you are, your gender identification, religion.
You know, you have to pour your heart out on these essays about these intimate things, but they don't ask about if you get extra time on a test.
I mean, that matters.
All right.
All right.
We're going to continue.

Ladies and gentlemen, Nerve Renew is one of the handful of products of my life that I have asked to advertise.
They immediately agreed for good reason.
Nerve Renew is what I have taken because I have that pins and needles numbness in my feet.
It is congenital and inserts in my shoes worked for 10 years.
I took Nerve Renew and I got rid of the inserts about a year later.

Of all of these dealings, whether it's the more than a billion dollars from the National Bank of Communist China to Hunter Biden's company, whether it is the 80,000 plus dollars every month from Burisma, whether it is what?
Is it $3 million from the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow?
For all of these services, what would they...
Let me ask the naive question.
Was there some product?
Was something manufactured?
Was there engineering services?
What are we talking about for these millions and millions and sometimes billions of dollars?
Or was this just buying connections, John?
Yeah, mostly buying connections.
Listen, the earlier story you mentioned that came out a couple days ago, Hunter Biden...
He gets invited to a state dinner by his father.
And for that, he got paid.
Most of the things he did was connections.
Burisma clearly hired him to try to get the stain of their criminal investigations away from them.
And we're going to break some new news next week that will show exactly what Hunter Biden was doing, what he was directing to try to make those criminal investigations go away.
His private law firm.
So he goes in.
This is something very important that most people haven't picked up on.
He gets to be a board member.
As soon as he's a board member, one of the first things he does is he hires himself as a private lawyer through his firm, Boy Schiller, and he gets another quarter million dollars kicked to his law firm, which, by the way, comes back to him.
and he gets the payments for it. - Keep up with what's trending.

Illegal border crossing attempts reaching a new high under Joe Biden.
180,000 in the month of May.
Federal law enforcement at the U.S.-Mexico border stopped over 180,000 people.
I'm not finished It's mine
We'll be right back.
Each Thursday I have this young woman whom I have dubbed the Harvard Heretic.
She's a student at Harvard, and she has come out as conservative.
She explained her evolution a number of weeks ago, and I won't repeat it right now.
And I've asked her what she wanted to talk about today on her Thursday.
Weekly broadcast, as it were.
And it's two things.
One is the cheating going on, which you hold as widespread, with regard to people claiming disabilities to get extra time on exams.
And then I said, I was just opposed to extra time.
First of all, it's inevitable you will have cheating.
First of all, the word disability is extremely subjective.
I knew that there were kids who took tests better than I did.
Did I have a disability?
I'm not being cute.
Compared to them, I did.
But that's the nature of life.
So go on.
Well, I think there are two solutions to this, or two ways of going about it.
And what I was saying before the break is that what fuels the scam is that...
People who get extra time on exams are not obligated to notify the colleges because it's a HIPAA violation.
And I was saying that is absurd because on every single part of your application to college, they ask you the most personal details about your background.
Why is it a HIPAA violation to ask if you've been vaccinated?
Well, that's a good point.
I agree with you.
I agree.
So they ask everything.
But they don't want to know if you got extra time.
And so my point in bringing that up is to say I strongly believe that if you had to report That you got extra time on an exam.
We would weed out a lot of these people who are faking it.
Because they would go, well, wait a minute.
You know, you for your whole life didn't need extra time.
Then suddenly, poof, in 10th grade, you need extra time.
So that's the first thing.
The second thing, Dennis, to your point, is perhaps what we do is we completely eliminate extra time.
And those people who have a documented learning disability are judged based on that disability.
So if they get a lower SAT score, the colleges will know that it's because of that disadvantage.
But the fact that they don't have to report it to colleges, that is the biggest fraud of all.
That's right.
Because they can do it in secret.
That's mind-blowing.
You have a great solution.
That's exactly right.
Okay, go ahead.
I was going to say, and the other thing that I also wanted to talk about, and it's very related to the extra time scam, is that also in these elite environments at these affluent public or private schools, I've noticed that a lot of people are starting their own charities.
It honestly is a bit comical.
In 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, or not 12th grade, but in those three grades, in order to get into college.
Suddenly, in ninth grade, people realize that they have a passion for something, and they start a charity, like opening an orphanage in a third world country or a climate change charity, and they declare themselves, I'm not kidding, the CEO of their own charity.
You're 16 years old, and you're the CEO of your own organization.
And then, poof!
The second they get into college, it's miraculous.
The charity...
All of a sudden goes away.
It ceases to exist.
Obviously, it's incredibly dishonest because a lot of the motivation is to get into college.
You're using someone else's lack of privilege to further your own.
But also, I think...
Why are colleges rewarding this?
Why are high school college counselors or teachers rewarding this?
There are people a mile from my high school on Skid Row who need help.
There are people in our own communities who need help.
Why are we allowing these high school students to start charities in third world countries?
Let's take care of our own people first.
Well, I wonder if they were CEO of Helping the homeless in their own community, why would that be looked at by the college as less impressive?
Well, I mean, I'm very much in favor of it.
No, I know, but they assume that the college will value an orphanage in Guatemala.
Yes.
More than a skid row in their neighborhood.
Because they want to go big.
Homelessness in L.A. is not big.
Not that an affliction in the third world is glitzy, per se, but it makes you seem even more important that you're going across the world.
That's the scope of your organization.
Did you know kids who did this?
Oh, my God.
Did I know kids who did this?
So many people did it.
Really?
It's actually funny.
I would love to hear the names of these.
What they came up with.
Is it named after them?
Like the Judd Taylor Orphanage in Honduras.
No, they have absurd names.
The worldwide...
It's like love for lullabies, singing lullabies to underprivileged dogs who are out on the street in Guatemala.
It's totally absurd.
It's comical.
I personally would like to be the CEO of the lullaby group.
It's comical.
But the reason why it relates to the extra time...
So how did you get in Harvard without saying you had a disability or running a charity?
I don't know, Dennis, I did it the right way.
I was just on the straight path.
It's beyond belief.
Your solution, I love, that you have to just tell the college, I took extra time.
Oh, completely.
That would eliminate so much of it.
That's correct.
What does that have to do with the HIPAA violation?
It's ridiculous.
It's not something you told your doctor.
It's something you told the school in order to get more time.
I agree with you.
All right, we'll take calls when we get back.
It's just very distressing, the amount of cheating in general.
Look, there are consequences to no fixed moral standard, ladies and gentlemen.
There are consequences.
Although I went to a religious school and a lot of kids cheated on tests.
I ran an anti-cheating campaign.
It's very hard to get people to do the right thing.
Have you noticed?
The dead is true.
This discovery proves that he is coming back.
Obama tore this country down!
No one stood up to him!
Nobody!
My parents didn't teach me that I was a victim.
And Uncle Tom is somebody who has sold out.
I will not pretend to be a victim in this country.
I know that that makes many people on the left uncomfortable.
Most black people don't believe that other blacks can be independent, free thinkers.
When there's chaos, when there's pandemics, when there's riots, people think, where is God?
God always manages to reemerge.
This Constitution is intended for a moral and religious people.
It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.

These statistics are astonishing.
I'll say it again.
85% of kids in prison, youths in prison, 85% don't have a father in the home.
70% of black Americans don't have a father in the home.
Your film, The Streets Were My Father, available at SalemNow.com, shows that in the cases of three hardcore men who were in lives of crime, who didn't have fathers, Jesus managed to get to them, and they managed to accept God their father.
So talk about that for a minute.
No, and that's why we did the movie.
I mean, hopelessness without hope is nihilism.
Each of these three men encountered God through either personal testimonials.
One heard the testimony of a Latin King's gang leader who had almost had his head cut off.
And that guy was teaching and preaching at the prison church.
And Leslie Williams said, if God can save him, God can save me.
I want more out of my life than this.
God had spared me, he said, of being killed.
Most of my friends in their 30s were dead or here in prison.
I wanted more out of life.
What could be a more universal pride than Leslie Williams?
At the end of the film, he breaks down talking about the father he never had, but that he had a father now.
And it was God the Father.
By the way, none of these men, Eric, talked about the cops.
None of them talked about systemic racism.
None of them talked about any of the things that you hear on the television.
It was fathers, fathers, fathers.
It was gangs, gangs, gangs.
And it was God, God, God.
And these are their testimonies.

So she's talking about the number of people who take extra time because they say they have a disability, but they don't tell the college.
And she thinks they should.
And then there is the issue of founding a charity in high school to make it sound impressive.
All right.
Westchester County, New York.
Sue.
Hello, Sue.
Hi, Dennis.
Hi, Julie.
I'm finding this conversation fascinating because I'm living it in Westchester County.
It's way worse than Julie is even saying.
I have a couple of kids that have received disability accommodations early on, first and third grade, and were denied extra time when it came to the SAT. But their classmates, who were all of a sudden diagnosed as sophomores and juniors, Got accommodations and extra time.
Who were diagnosed as what?
It's huge.
As sophomores and juniors, I believe, she said.
So late in their career.
Oh, I thought that was a diagnosis.
No, no, no, no.
Timing.
No.
So wait.
Yeah, no time-wise.
Why were they given this time?
Well, they claim they have all of a sudden testing anxiety or, I don't know, they go to a psychologist, they pay $5,000 to $10,000, they pay $10,000.
And they buy a diagnosis, and it's going through.
Whereas my child, who was diagnosed in third grade with auditory processing and different forms of dyslexia, was denied by the ACG. That's since third grade.
It's inevitable.
It's inevitable.
Once you start the issue, I'm very glad you called.
I'm sorry about your kid.
Testing anxiety.
Well, I must admit I never had it because I didn't give a hoot about my grades.
It's one of the reasons I'm a happy man.
Julie-Hartman.com Is that the end of it?

Would you give us an update on where we stand on dates and deadlines and all that kind of stuff?
Well, I'll tell you, we have a lot of, as usual for Governor Newsom out here, a lot of unclarity.
They have not set the recall election date yet.
Our best guess, Hugh, is that it's going to be in November.
for a while that you know in June 15th he was going to fully reopen the state but as we learned just last Friday he's decided he's going to keep the state of emergency and you know once again it's Newsom changing his mind showing his true colors to try to retain power at any cost out here.
And what you saw is the democratically controlled legislature a year or so ago decided to change the rules.
Look, at some point, they know they have a deadline.
It's actually coming up.
Our best guess is, as I said, that they're going to set it for November.
But, you know, for us, it doesn't matter.
I will tell you, Hugh, Californians are angry.
They are frustrated.
That's why 2 million Californians signed this recall petition for a governor that is failing, and not just failing on the pandemic, Hugh, but really failing on all of the major issues out here in California in terms of homelessness, affordability, rising crime.
So look, we're ready.

The thing that strikes me first is not how awful of a person Hunter Biden is.
I think that's been rather established.
And it goes on and on and on.
He uses the N-word.
He uses the N-word.
Of course, we know there's very little to no outrage at all from the activist press.
What I find to be very interesting about this whole story is how Hunter Biden and his lawyer Going back using very racially charged language, including a meme between Barack Obama and Joe Biden, again saying the N-word.
They never thought any of this would become public, by the way.
What is done in darkness will always come to light.
And I just want to say as bluntly and loudly as I can, folks, there is hope that God is the hope of these people.

The End
Hello, everybody.
You're listening to The Dennis Prager Show, and I want to welcome you on behalf of the Gentle Gentile Giant and the Living Martyr, my comrades, on a daily basis.
And it means a great deal of them that I've welcomed you in their names.
It was nice, yes.
You know, I just had Julie Hartman on, the Harvard girl who I have great respect for, obviously.
I put her on every week.
I've never done that before.
And she had such a brilliant solution to the issue of the cheating.
That is done in high schools when students say, I need extra time for an exam.
All you need to do basically to end it is you have to tell the admissions committee at any college you apply to that you did take extra time on your exam.
But who knows if that would even be allowed.
Incidentally, my anger at colleges, my contempt is greater than ever in forcing young people to get vaccinations.
I can't tell you.
They have gone over into the world of evil.
Young people do not need this vaccination.
There is no reason for them to get it in the vast majority of instances.
And I believe statistically we will find out that there was more danger for a young person in taking the vaccination than in dying from COVID. What if that is true?
What if that turns out to be true?
Will you then understand how despicable colleges are?
And that there were colleges that did not require faculty to get the vaccination?
Who were twice their age?
I guess sometimes if the person is 60, there are 60-year-old professors, they're three times their age.
And they don't have to get it.
Sometimes they do.
It's very important that people listen to shows like mine, not just mine.
I'm not claiming that at all, but shows like this are very important.
You need to know what is going on.
During the break, the technical director of this show, a man named McConnell, he insists we call him Mr. McConnell, so I will.
Mr. McConnell asked me, can I envision a point Where there would be so little hope for the country that I would give up fighting.
And I said, it's not possible.
See, what animates me is not hope.
It's a very important discussion.
I'm not going to go into it in depth now.
I will at another time.
But it's a very important discussion.
It is not hope that keeps me fighting for America.
It is duty.
That's it.
I am morally bound to fight for this country that gave me so much and gave so many so much and is the beacon of hope for the world in terms of liberty.
And without America, liberty will die on earth.
Because liberty is not the natural human inclination.
Being taken care of is.
Everyone who votes for the Democrats believes that the role of the state is to take care of people, not to enable people to take care of themselves.
Okay?
You know what?
That's a really great way of putting the left-right difference.
The role of the government for the left, including liberals, is to take care of people.
The role of the government on the right...
Is to enable people to take care of themselves.
Do we have that?
That is really important.
And it was the first government ever set up that way.
The only purpose of government is to help you, to enable you to be free.
Yes, well that was it.
He said that he likes my line about The soldiers on D-Day, yes, that's where I have the duty from.
My sense of duty to this country is from the D-Day graves.
I'm more than three times older than some of those guys buried there.
I've led three of their lifetimes.
I have children, I have grandchildren.
I have friends.
I have a life that they were all deprived of fighting for this country.
And I'm going to ask if I have hope.
Did they have hope storming Normandy Beach?
I've got more hope than they did.
Let me put it that way.
People ask the wrong questions.
They ask, are you optimistic?
Let's say I'm optimistic.
Let's say I'm pessimistic.
What difference does it make?
Let me give an analogy.
I'm good at analogies.
I've got to come up with one here.
Let's see here.
A dear friend of mine just had triple bypass open heart surgery.
70% blockage of his aorta.
So, whether he was optimistic or pessimistic did not play any role in his decision to get the surgery.
Correct?
I have to get the surgery.
Life is filled with have-tos, whether you're optimistic or pessimistic.
That's where my great so-what idea comes in.
So-what?
And by the way, optimism and pessimism both give you excuses not to fight.
Why fight if you're an optimist?
Things will turn out well.
Why fight if you're a pessimist?
Things will turn out lousy.
People ask the wrong questions.
Do you have hope?
Are you an optimist?
Are you a pessimist?
I get this.
There is no speech I give.
I'm speaking this weekend in Utah.
I can predict now somebody is going to ask me if I'm optimistic or pessimistic.
It is the most common question that I get.
And I like it because it gives me a chance to tell them I am not animated by either optimism or pessimism.
I'm animated by duty.
Duty to the dead at Normandy, duty to the founders of this country, duty to my father who served in the armed forces, and duty to God.
God doesn't want me to sit back.
The greatest experiment in a Bible-based country as this was.
This is a Bible-based country.

Oh, it was founded to be a secular society.

So the Julie...
This terrific young woman, who I have on every Thursday and had on last hour, has been going through my mail.
And I want to thank one listener for giving me more data to support my supposition that it is a gigantic lie that white supremacists are a threat to this country.
Merrick Garland's statement, you know that I couldn't get it out of my mind?
Folks, I report a lot of things in the course of a show, and I read a ton more that I don't get to report.
So if something stays with me, it's either really terrific or really awful.
You have Merrick Garland's despicable statement, Attorney General of the United States.
Motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the white race.
He doesn't name any.
So, I want to thank, I don't remember who it is, but it was sent to me, the list, by Julie as she was reading the mail, and there's a whole list of everyone that has claimed to be a white supremacist organization.
So I looked through the first calf dozen.
They have almost no members.
Many of them are just in the past tense.
It is a lie of Goebbels-like proportions.
It takes a lot for me to say that.
I'm not sure I ever said that.
To say what Merrick Garland said.
Merrick Garland said something that is a big lie in the fascist notion of big lie.
That white supremacist organizations are the great threat to this country.
Name them and tell me how many they have.

And in fact, maybe he's going to run again in 2024. I don't know.

If he doesn't run, I hope he is in the ear of whoever is going to run as a Republican, because we need him.
We need him back so badly, over and over and over he's being vindicated.

I want to know a difference between voting Democrat and Republican.
This is from the Washington Examiner.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed an executive order prohibiting universities in his state from requiring students to vaccinate themselves or wear masks while on campus.
The vaccine works, and we encourage Arizonans to take it, the Republican governor said.
After signing the executive order.
But it is a choice, and we need to keep it that way.
Wow.
That's right.
Wow.
Pro-choice.
Amazing.
The left is pro-choice on third trimester abortion.
But it's not pro-choice on young people.
Who have a virtually zero risk of dying from COVID. From taking vaccinations.
Getting vaccinated.
And here's the truly sick, sick part.
Even if they had the virus.
Since when are you not immune if you have had the virus?
Well, wow is right.
Thank you.
Dan in Hopkins, Minnesota wants to know I haven't talked about the order in Arizona yet because I want to see what happens.
That's why.
I'm going to talk about things generally when they are not clear to me.
So that's the answer.
Thank you for calling, Dan.
And now you can rest for a while.
I will talk about it.
Let's see.
Joy in Clearwater, Florida.
Hello.
Hi, thanks for taking my call.
The young lady who was speaking about test accommodations.
If a student's receiving test accommodations in a school, they typically have to have an IEP or a 504 plan, and those plans are guided by federal laws.
So, I don't know how they could just get a note from a doctor saying, oh, they've got dyslexia.
A doctor wouldn't be a person to diagnose that anyway.
I'm an ESC teacher.
So, you're a what teacher?
I'm an ESC teacher, a special needs teacher at a center school in Clearwater, Florida.
Right.
So, your doctor is not the one who decides if you have a disability?
For us, Typically, no.
They might be able to decide if you have a medical problem.
Say, I know you have a stepson with autism, if you were to take medication, different things like that.
But as far as cognitive functioning goes, that's usually, we have people at the school district to administer different tests.
To see whether it's from an occupational therapy or physical therapy standpoint, from a speech and language standpoint, from a...
So am I to infer from what you say, and this is just a clarification question for me, that it's very difficult to cheat to get a disability extension in your test taking?
For a public, for a school, yes.
I would believe that it would be, because...
You cannot provide any accommodations that a student would normally not have in a classroom.
So if that student is not, and let's say it's either a district accommodation or a state testing accommodation, if the student isn't allowed extra time on lessons, they wouldn't be allowed extra time on a test.
And to go to the point of not allowing any accommodations at all, The one problem just off the top of my head I would see with that is that if it were someone who was vision impaired and needed all their materials in braille and might need extra time, I think that would be a reasonable accommodation.
And for the parent who called and said that her children had had, I think, in first and third grade accommodations.
I lost you.
Okay.
Anyway, it was a very valuable call.
Every time these things are allowed, and look, a student using braille, I totally understand, would need extra time.
But these things open themselves up to abuse on a scale.
That makes you question the efficacy of the whole enterprise.
It's just there's a certain inevitability about that in life.
What doctor is going to refuse, some doctors will, but many doctors will not refuse a family's If a child, if they say, you know what, he really, he, she, there's real difficulty.
In exam taking, things get blurry, they don't read as fast, or what have you.
It does open the gates of that.
Talking about doctors, Tucker Carlson had a woman on whose son and husband, both very physically fit, are both in a hospital after taking...
The vaccination against COVID. And both have blood clots.
And I think in both cases that went to the brain.
It was not clear to me what the prognosis is for either the husband or the son.
It's a terrible tragedy, obviously.
And nobody claims it's the norm.
What was of interest is this.
The son got his symptoms.
Very shortly after the, obviously shortly after the, I don't remember the time frame, however, after getting the vaccination.
And the doctor, the family doctor, the pediatrician, she said, said to him, no, it can't be the vaccine.
He got a blood clot, a healthy young man got a blood clot after getting the vaccine, but it wasn't the vaccine.
She said the pediatrician who had obviously treated the son, I guess, all his life, or much of his life at least, reassured them.
Why would he say that?
Really, why would he say that?
Unless he has this non-medical preoccupation with getting people vaccinated and not getting the word out that there are dangers.
I'm not saying people shouldn't take it.
Neither is Tucker Carlson.
I do think young people should not take it.
I will go on record as saying that.
As far as I understand, the risks of the vaccine are at least as great as the risk of dying from COVID, in which case don't take the vaccine.
The damage done to the young generation by the left in this country is incalculable.

Did you deliberately make a virus that you wanted to do harm to the world and then it leaked out?
Well, why would the Chinese want to make a virus that equally kills them?

He's gone to the Supreme Court and he has a book out about his experiences and his outlook.
And that is Jack Phillips.
The book is The Cost of My Faith.
How a decision in my cake shop took me to the Supreme Court.
And his lawyer, Ryan Bangert, of the Alliance Defending Freedom, is on as well.
Gentlemen, welcome to the Dennis Prager Show.
Thank you, Mr. Prager.
It's an honor to be here.
Thank you.
It's an honor to have you.
It's a great title, actually, The Cost of My Faith.
Yeah.
If people have faith and they haven't paid any price, you wonder how serious is their faith?
Yeah.
We've been going through this for almost nine years now, and I think my faith is much more serious and personal to me than it was ten years ago.
So let's begin.
The first issue that arose was, was it a gay wedding?
Yeah, two men came in asking me to create a cake to celebrate same-sex wedding.
And when I told them, tried to tell them in just a couple seconds before they flipped me off, swore at me and flew out of my store within 20 seconds, I wanted to explain to them that it's a cake that I couldn't create because a wedding cake has an inherent message and that I couldn't celebrate that, but that I'd be glad to sell them anything else in my shop or do other custom work.
Is that the one that went to the Supreme Court?
That is.
And then that was argued December of 2017 and then June of 2018 they released their 7-2 favorable opinion in our favor and rebuked at the same time the Colorado Civil Rights Commission because of their open hostility towards me and my faith and their unequal treatment of other cake shops.
So, I have read, and I don't know if this is true, were these two men, or one of them at least, a customer of yours prior to this?
I don't think so.
I didn't recognize either of them.
Oh, okay, fine.
So, I was under misapprehension.
Yeah, I've heard that too, but I couldn't say one way or the other.
Alright, so fine.
Well, look, if you don't know, then...
They weren't familiar customers, either one of them.
Right, fair enough.
So, I didn't recognize them when they came in.
Why did they pick your store?
They were sent to my store by a really nice restaurant that would refer people to us all the time.
So I think they came in fully expecting to get a wedding cake, and they were just as surprised that I couldn't create it as I was at the way that they left, swearing and flipping me off and then suing me.
What did you explain to them?
The conversation was 29 words.
I explained that in the cost of my faith.
One gentleman said, you know, we're here to look at wedding cakes.
The other one said, it's for our wedding.
And I said, you know, in my mind I'm thinking that's not a cake that I can create.
How am I going to explain this to them?
We've had this come up a couple other times, so I'll, you know, just be as gentle and gracious as I can.
I said, sorry guys, I don't do cakes for same-sex weddings.
There was no conversation from them.
They just kind of stared at me like they either didn't hear what I just said or heard what I said and couldn't believe that I would say it.
And I said, I'll make you birthday cakes.
Shower cakes, cookies and brownies, but I just don't do cakes for same-sex weddings.
That's all.
And then they stormed out of my shop.
But I would like to have had more time to explain that it's because of my faith and that I would gladly serve them, but a wedding cake is a message in and of itself.
If you think about it, you're at a hotel room and you've got a conference to go to, and you go down to the conference room, you open up a door, and you look across the room and you see a cake sitting on the table in the corner, you know immediately It's a wedding that's being celebrated.
A marriage is taking place.
And it's not a business meeting.
You know instinctively that that wedding cake says, as a message in and of itself, it's a wedding.
So I can't create a cake that celebrates, expresses a message that goes against my faith.
It's often portrayed, and I want to verify that my defense of you is accurate, it is often portrayed that you...
Did not make a cake for gays.
Right.
But that's not correct, correct?
That's correct.
That's what's always portrayed, that I turn away gays.
But it wouldn't matter if you asked me for that cake, I wouldn't create it.
If my mom asked me for that cake, I wouldn't create it.
But there are also...
And you make cakes for gays.
I do.
We were just in our trial in March.
A gay man came and testified on our behalf that I've always treated him fairly.
Oh, that's important.

This is Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com for Town Hall.

Same language, same vocabulary.

protest hi everybody and then as prager
I'm speaking to a man who probably did not expect to be a national figure.
Most people who bake cakes for a living do not expect to be national figures.
He certainly didn't seek it.
But man plans, God laughs, yes.
The cost of my faith.
How a decision in my cake shop took me to the Supreme Court, Jack Phillips, with the bake shop in Colorado, and also Ryan Bangert of the terrific group Alliance Defending Freedom, which took his case to the Supreme Court.
So the first case was a couple that wanted you to bake a cake for their gay wedding, their same-sex wedding.
It's very important that people understand you had no issue with baking cakes for gay people or anybody else.
I find it interesting that a gay testified on your behalf.
This I learned just now from you.
You want to just tell us a little about that?
Yeah, a radio station came into our shop a few years ago and wanted to do a broadcast here through the entire day.
And the first person that came into the shop that day said...
Hi, my name is Mike, and I'm a gay man, and I just came to see what's going on here.
Hey, Mike, how are you doing?
What can I get for you?
And we talked a little bit.
He bought some brownies, whatever, and left, but then he came back later in the afternoon, and they had open mics on the radio, and so he got on the mic and talked a little bit, and come to find out later he was a gay activist, and we've since become friends, close enough that he, like I say, he argued for us.
Yeah, that is remarkable.
That's to his credit and to your credit.
Absolutely.
Yes, I think that's very important.
The issue is you couldn't honor an act you don't believe in.
By the way, I don't believe in same-sex marriage as such either.
I want same-sex partners to have the same rights every other group does, but I do believe, in my case, as a believing Jew.
But we share most of the Bible.
I believe God wants marriage to be between a man and a woman.
And I have incredibly close friends who are same-sex couples.
I'm the godfather to the parents of one same-sex couple's children.
And they know my position, which is that the ideal that God wants is man and woman to marry.
I don't know why that's exactly a hate-filled statement.
It is not in the least.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I am coming from a sympathetic position in this regard.
So, what's the next story?
You just lost another case, correct?
Correct.
So, the day that the Supreme Court granted our case was a crazy, chaotic day.
Lots of phone calls, media, press, interviews, that kind of thing.
I had a call for somebody requesting 38 wedding cakes to be delivered to 38 states.
I had somebody else call and wanted a cake, a wedding cake to celebrate a wedding between three people and a computer.
So just three calls.
But I also had a call that day from somebody who called and requested a cake that was blue on the outside and pink on the inside, and it was to celebrate a gender transition.
And so we tried to explain to this person also that we would sell other custom cakes to them.
You'll come in this shop.
You can buy anything here.
We treat you the same as anybody else, but that's a cake.
it expresses a message that I can't create for you.
And so that person took us to court through the Colorado Civil Rights Commission.
The commission took up the case three weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in our first case, even though the Supreme Court rebuked the commission, like I said, for their unequal treatment of me and their hostility towards me and my faith.
But then that case was dismissed, and so the person who requested the cake is now suing me in civil court, and that's the decision that came down yesterday.
Oh, oh.
Oh, really?
That's interesting.
Oh, it's a civil suit.
Yeah.
So this one, it's the same cake, same thing.
And the person who's suing me, we went through mediation.
And during the mediation, face-to-face, myself, the attorney who's suing me and the mediator, the attorney said that, you know, if you win this case or if it's dismissed for any reason, I'll call you the next day with another cake and we'll start all over again.
And then swore to that in court.
And now we've lost...
It won't happen right away, but the case will go forward.
So how much are you being sued for in the civil case?
The civil case was for $100,000 in court costs, legal fees, penalties.
But the judge dismissed that part of it.
But it can come back now at the appeal.
So I understand.
So you have...
You can ask the attorneys about that.
They know better.
So I will ask the attorney.
So, Mr. Bangert, let me ask you.
What was dismissed in what we call a criminal court?
What is the other type of court to a civil court?
You bet.
The entire case was brought in civil court, and there were two separate claims that were brought by the plaintiff here.
One was an advertising case.
Really, it was brought under the Consumer Protection Statute in Colorado.
So that was the claim that carried those really large potential damages as well as attorney's fees.
That was all dismissed by the judge.
The remaining claim and the claim that the judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff on it is under the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act, which incidentally was the same statute that the Colorado Commission tried to enforce against Jack the first time around when it came to the same-sex wedding which incidentally was the same statute that the Colorado Commission tried And so that statute carries a penalty of $500 per violation.
So what the court ultimately said in its order was that Jack has to pay the plaintiff a $500 penalty for refusing to create this cake, which that's ultimately the judgment of the court.
And again, that was a civil court?
That's a civil court, exactly.
So there were no charges being brought against Jack from the Colorado Human Rights Commission?
The Human Rights Commission dismissed all of it.
Initially, it was brought there, and the commission dismissed all of the claims.
Because they just assumed it was a hopeless case, Chase?
Well, it's always difficult to know exactly what's going on inside their mind.
Okay, that's fair.
Yeah, they left the case, though.
Right, so then if it's a civil case, this one can't go to the Supreme Court.
Well, it could.
And here's how.
Because we argued at the trial court level that the application of this law to force Jack to speak a message that violates his conscience actually violates the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
And we're going to take that case up on appeal, first through the Colorado Court of Appeals.
It could ultimately go to the Colorado Supreme Court.
All right, hold on a second.
I want to remind everybody, the book is up at DennisPrager.com.
The cost of my faith.

For all of these services, what would they...
Let me ask the naive question.
Was there some product?
Was something manufactured?
Was there engineering services?
What are we talking about for these millions and millions and sometimes billions of dollars?
Or was this just buying connections, John?
Yeah, mostly buying connections.

Most of the things he did was connections.
Burisma clearly hired him to try to get the stain of their criminal investigations away from them.
And we're going to break some new news next week that will show exactly what Hunter Biden was doing, what he was directing to try to make those criminal investigations go away.

And, again, not a problem of serving anyone who's transgender, but celebrating something he doesn't believe in.
And, of course, it's people who just want to get him in trouble, because 99% of bakeries would be happy to make such a cake.
Well, you know, with one color on the outside and one color on the inside.
I think it was pink on the outside, blue on the inside.
That was the way I think Jack described it.
So there's a civil suit, and it was upheld in the first court.
Is that correct?
So that's right, Dennis.
What we just got was the opinion of the district court.
And the district court ruled, Well, what is the left's position on this?
Is there any action?
Again, we're talking about actions, not people.
So is there any action that a baker would not have to bake for?
I mean, they talk about white supremacists as if they are ubiquitous in the country.
Anywhere you go, you'll find one.
So if somebody had to bake a cake for a white supremacist rally, would they be obligated, according to the left?
No, they wouldn't.
That very thing, not quite that thing, but something very similar happened in Colorado.
Several cake shops were asked to create cakes with blatantly anti-LGBT messages.
And the commission said, nope, they don't have to create those cakes because it would offend their sensibilities.
But that rule doesn't apply to Jack.
All right, there you go.
Listen.
Both of you, good luck, folks.
