Dennis Prager Show - Caller Tries To Corner Dennis Prager... Doesn't Work Out Very Well Aired: 2021-06-15 Duration: 04:05 === Think, Answer, Tick Ticked (03:09) === [00:00:00] Probably surprised I took your call. [00:00:02] Hi. [00:00:04] I am a little surprised. [00:00:05] How are you today? [00:00:06] I know. [00:00:07] I know. [00:00:07] I read my listeners. [00:00:11] I agree with you that we need to be expediting visas for people from asking. [00:00:18] Uh-oh. [00:00:19] I'm a little surprised to hear you making an issue of it. [00:00:22] Maybe you didn't know what was happening during the Trump administration, but I would read you real briefly. [00:00:28] This is from... [00:00:29] May 1st, 2019, so just a couple years ago, in Iraq, there was a backlog of more than 100 people now in the P2 direct access program. [00:00:39] Last year, 200 were cleared, down from nearly 10,000 in 2016. And the number of Afghans getting visas, down 60%. [00:00:49] More than 4,000 were cleared in fiscal 2017, compared with only 1,650 in 2018. Was this an issue? [00:00:58] Trump was cutting the number of people getting these visas? [00:01:01] So let me ask you a question. [00:01:02] I will answer you. [00:01:04] This is human to human. [00:01:06] So, would you say you've heard me more than 50 times? [00:01:15] I'm sorry, what? [00:01:16] Would you say you've heard my show more than 50 times? [00:01:19] 5-0? [00:01:21] Yes. [00:01:22] Okay. [00:01:23] So what do you think the answer is? [00:01:25] Do you think I was quiet about our abandoning Iraqi translators because it was Trump? [00:01:30] What do you think the answer is? [00:01:32] I don't know. [00:01:33] That's why I called. [00:01:34] Right, okay. [00:01:35] If you had to bet, would you just flip a coin? [00:01:38] I'm not giving you a hard time. [00:01:40] I'm curious to know your thinking. [00:01:42] Well, not to give you a hard time, and I really mean that. [00:01:45] I know, I know that. [00:01:46] So I'm just asking your perception of me. [00:01:49] I'm being totally open with you. [00:01:52] Do you think that because Trump did it, I don't give a damn about Iraqi translators who helped Americans? [00:01:59] Is that your perception of me? [00:02:02] I did not say that. [00:02:03] I know you didn't. [00:02:04] You asked the question. [00:02:06] So I'm answering, what do you think the answer to your question is? [00:02:09] I'm not playing games. [00:02:13] I'm wondering if maybe you just didn't... [00:02:15] I knew it, and I talked about it, and I was ticked off. [00:02:20] Ticked off. [00:02:21] It has nothing to do with who's president. [00:02:24] Nothing. [00:02:27] I was disgusted about the Iraqi translators, and I read editorials about it then, and I'm disgusted about the Afghans. [00:02:35] That's it. [00:02:37] And in both cases, the State Department, if they gave a damn about human life, rather than BLM and gay pride, they could save these lives in a nanosecond. [00:02:47] This is a bureaucracy thing. [00:02:49] It's also a presidential thing. [00:02:51] Because the president could make a big deal. [00:02:53] We don't abandon our allies. === Nazi Muslims (01:10) === [00:02:55] And it was depressing when it happened in Iraq under Trump, and it's depressing today in Afghanistan under Biden. [00:03:07] That's it. [00:03:08] It just is. [00:03:09] I mean, even on purely selfish grounds, don't we want to send the message, if you help America, we don't abandon you? [00:03:26] Forget morality and decency. [00:03:33] Taliban are religious Nazis. [00:03:37] That's it. [00:03:37] That's all they are. [00:03:38] They're religious Nazis. [00:03:41] Muslim Nazis. [00:03:45] Nazi Muslims, depending on which you want the noun to be. [00:03:49] All righty, everybody. - Thank you. [00:03:57] So today in California, supposedly the mandate for wearing masks has ended.
