It makes it all the more sick what the left has done to the State Department.
BLM flags on U.S. embassies.
Right?
They're woke, but they're despicable.
Those who are kind to the cruel will be cruel to the kind.
BLM is cruel, and those who helped us in Afghanistan were kind, and that's how it works in the morally inverted world of the left.
These people who claim moral sensitivity, and then when it comes time to actually demonstrate it, it isn't even a big deal.
We're not asking people to risk their lives.
Just give them visas.
Take them to Guam, if necessary, until you expedite their identities.
Who are translators for us?
It's usually in the realm of translators.
I am curious, is there anybody listening who thinks that it is moral or American?
I used to think of those terms as fairly contiguous.
Who can defend our abandoning people who helped us in Afghanistan?
Look, I can't even defend leaving Afghanistan.
The losses are very, very small.
Every loss is tragic, but you don't base policy on the tragedy of the individual loss.
What is the reason for leaving?
Okay.
To say that one of the most vicious groups in the world has defeated us?
But I have talked about leaving at other times.
I'm now talking about abandoning.
You want to put up the Wall Street Journal piece again from last night?
Wall Street Journal has a devastating editorial on this.
By the way, this would interest me.
Does the New York Times have an editorial on this?
You're sure?
Let's take a look, because before I attack the New York Times for its immoral callousness in comparison to the Wall Street Journal, I would like to be absolutely certain.
Now, this is what came up here.
There we go.
Leaving Afghan allies behind.
Editorial board of the Wall Street Journal abandoning translators to the Taliban is a moral and strategic mistake.
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul suspended visa operations on Sunday, citing rising COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan.
Oh my God.
Rising COVID cases in Afghanistan.
Yes.
Stay here so that your family can be slaughtered, literally.
You might have COVID. Now it's up to the White House to do more for the Afghans in mortal danger.
Mortal danger, correct.
As they wait for visas, most U.S. and coalition troops will be out of the country in weeks.
But thousands of Afghans who helped allied forces, notably as translators, are being left behind.
The Special Immigrant Visa Program lets Afghans who worked with the United States for two years move to the U.S. with their spouse and children.
About 18,000 applicants await a decision.
This could take years.
The State Department said that while it's stopping visa interviews in Kabul, it would continue processing applications in Washington.
They're very, very good at the State Department, at BLM flags, and what's the word for the colors of LGBTQ? Pride colors, yeah.
They are really on top of that.
They don't miss a beat.
It's unclear how many will be affected, but delays are more than an inconvenience at this late stage of the war.
These Afghans will have a bullseye on their backs from the moment we leave the country, said Representative Michael McCaul of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in a statement.
I looked it up.
If you had to bet your life, my friends, think that...
I never heard of this representative.
Did you?
So I didn't know if he was a Republican or Democrat.
But if I had to bet my life, I wouldn't bet my life.
But if I had to, I'd have bet he was a Republican.
And he was.
Democrats care about white supremacy.
Not the death of people who help us.
If President Biden abandons them, he is signing their death warrants.
Then the Wall Street Journal editorial board adds, this is not an exaggeration.
The Taliban is on the move, now contesting more than half of the country's districts and controlling more than does the Kabul government.
More than 400 central government forces And about 260 civilians were killed last month, the deadliest since the summer of 2019. The Taliban has targeted translators and their families in the past, killing hundreds, and they will continue to do so as they take more territory.
The State Department said that COVID-19 killed an embassy employee, and the safety of diplomatic personnel should always be a priority.
But the department made a point of vaccinating its staff abroad for a reason.
Its work is critical even during a pandemic, as Afghanistan makes clear.
Even a functioning visa program is insufficient at this point.
President Biden can save lives by doing more, such as the evacuation of applicants to a temporary third country, as the process plays out.
Or he could provide them with humanitarian parole.
Which grants temporary permission to enter the U.S. The Afghan translators risk their lives helping the U.S. Following the rules and earning a chance at the American dream, abandoning them now, is unconscionable.
That is correct, unconscionable.
There are 102 comments.
There are often 1,000.
Do people not care?
When you think about the great Talmudic saying, those who are cruel to the kind will be kind to the cruel. - Cool.
That summarizes the left in a nutshell.
I wonder if this has crossed Chuck Schumer's mind.
Nancy Pelosi's mind crossed their mind.
These are the moments where I have these macro questions.
this Why do I care and they don't?
It bothers me.
I don't want to believe.
Asking the question to say, oh, I'm a better human being.
But if I am a better human being for this, why?
Why isn't this normal instinct?
We save the lives of those who helped us.

Did you deliberately make a virus that you wanted to do harm to the world and then it leaked out?
Well, why would the Chinese want to make a virus that equally kills them?
Did this man say that?
Did he really say that?
You know who the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world is?
Don't take me.
Take the Washington Post.
Who was the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world?
Asked the Washington Post August 3rd, 2016. It continued.
Most people probably assume the answer is Adolf Hitler, architect of the Holocaust.
Others might guess Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, who may have indeed have managed to kill even more innocent people than Hitler did.
Many of them as part of a terror famine that likely took more lives than the Holocaust.
But both Hitler and Stalin were outdone by Mao Zedong from...
1958 to 1962, Mao's great leap forward policy led to the deaths of up to 45 million people, easily making it the biggest episode of mass murder ever recorded.
What did Dr. Fauci say?
Why would the Chinese develop a virus that would equally kill them?
Are you kidding?
Dr. Fauci, have you heard of Tiananmen Square?
You still don't know.

Let me remind you, everybody, that I will be going with you to Israel.

Of course, as I said, I will be going.
It is a trip of a lifetime.
If COVID taught you anything, it's to take it in while you can.
And given the non-assuredness of letting people in who are not vaccinated or something related, that you can get your money back until August 2nd.
So there's no risk.
But you should reserve your place.
There's a banner at DennisPrager.com for my trip to Israel.
It will be a great, great time, and we need it after this year.
No two ways about that.
1-8-Prager-776 is the number.
And, you know, I was talking to you about this horrible thing of abandoning people to be shot.
Was shot, as I said, lucky.
To be beheaded by Taliban, very good chance daughters raped, very good chance sons raped, such as the Taliban.
And the same people who utterly ignore allowing these people into the United States are big advocates of vast numbers of illegal people.
People coming in illegally.
These people, we have to give them all sorts of benefits, we have to give them the right of asylum, and so on.
If only any of these people could just get to Mexico, they'll get in.
Irony, isn't it?
Why doesn't some...
Some private group of somewhat wealthy people who care about life.
Just get some of these people out.
Pay El Salvador to let them live there.
And then get our own coyotes to bring them in.
What is the lesson learned?
Help the United States and you'll be abandoned?
On that alone, even if you just have any sense of moral pride as an American, doesn't that disturb you?
Doesn't that disturb the State Department?
Doesn't that disturb the Democratic Party?
Doesn't that disturb the New York Times?
Well, they do have a...
While the Wall Street Journal has this editorial that I read to you, you'll be happy to know that there is the major, the lead opinion piece in the New York Times today is about how important it is to teach about pornography to kids in schools.
You probably think I'm exaggerating.
If you go to the opinion page on the New York Times, The lead piece is, if you ignore porn, you aren't teaching sex ed.
Refusing to discuss sexually explicit media won't make it go away.
Well, okay.
And there she's showing clip.
My issue, I would as a parent talk to my kids about this stuff.
I don't want the schools raising my children.
Putting aside the whole issue of the content of the piece, do you understand what parents have done?
This is a new thing in human life.
Now, it's been happening for a half century, but it's new.
Parents raised children.
Schools were adjuncts to the home.
Now the home is an adjunct to the school.
So interesting.
Conservatives were opposed to sex ed from the beginning.
And they sounded like prudes.
Oh, well, if you don't teach kids about sex, then you will have such an increase in out-of-wedlock births.
Like, we weren't having it independent of that.
And aren't we having it with it?
All we have seen is skyrocketing rates of girls getting pregnant without being married to, or even committed to the father of the child, with all the sex education.
My daily request, I'm begging you, for your sake and the country's sake, unless your child's school is exceptional, take your child out of that school, elementary, high school, or college.
The Wall Street Journal has another opinion piece today on the use of young people as guinea pigs in the vaccine.
Again, this is my daily cry to you.
Take your child out of college for a year.
There's so much they could learn outside of college.
So much.
There's so much more.
That's what I should have said.
that they could learn outside.
I tell you, the giving up of one's power over one's own life and the life of one's own family the giving up of one's power over one's own life and the life of one's own family to the state, that in a nutshell is Okay.
Let the state take care of you.
It's the antithesis of the reason America was founded.
Let you take care of you.
A brand new idea in history.
Yeah, it would be an interesting thing to compare and contrast the opinion pieces and editorials in the Wall Street Journal each day to those of the New York Times each day.
Thank you.
Why doesn't it bother the New York Times editorial board that we're going to leave?
Afghan allies to be murdered.
It's an open question.
It's not rhetorical.

So, John, just a few days ago you had this story, emails by Hunter Biden, that they were going to, quote-unquote, conquer a turbulent world, lobbying the Italian regional president, the French ambassador.
targeting sovereign wealth funds to make money for themselves when his daddy was vice president.
But moments ago, a far bigger story about the federal authorities having...
Peanut Hunter Biden during the 2016 election.
I've dipped into it in the seconds I had before the show.
Just one of these sentences that struck me.

Tell us what your readers, we're posting it right now, the minimum they need to know.
Yeah, listen, I think the most important thing about this story is it undercuts the primary argument that the Democrats had for impeaching President Trump.
Remember what the argument was when they impeached him over Ukraine.
The president abused his power because he asked for an investigation into Burisma Biden in Ukraine, and Hunter Biden had not done anything wrong.
That was the line that Joe Biden down the line.
Everybody said it.
Now we know.
In the summer and spring of 2016, Hunter Biden and his lawyers and his accountant and his corporate executives knew he had failed to pay taxes, not on just any money, the Burisma money.
He was getting about a million dollars of Burisma money in 2014 and 2015. He's the vice president's son.
He doesn't pay taxes on it.

This is Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com for Town Hall.
Democrats have spent the past year pursuing an obvious contradiction, calling for more gun control while also sympathizing with the defund the police movement.
They've argued simultaneously and disingenuously that law-abiding Americans don't need firearms for self-defense because of the police.
At the same time, they have provided support for those who want to scale back or entirely eliminate policing.
The astounding new data on gun sales shows Americans aren't buying either argument.
The New York Times reported that a record number of first-time purchasers have bought guns in the past year.
Half of those are women, and 40% are evenly split between blacks and Hispanics.
Household ownership percentage has spiked seven points after years of remaining flat.
Gun ownership has become even more diverse, and in many areas where police are in retreat, even more necessary.
Joe Biden's gun control push will make his party look even more radical and even more out of touch.

publicpolicy.pepperdine.edu Training now on the Charlie Kirk Show.
Hi everybody, I'm Dennis Prager.
July 4th is approaching.
If holidays are meaningless, then the country loses one of the most important things it has to keep people American.
To keep Americans American.
And I'm a big advocate of ceremonies, rituals.
Without rituals, these things become meaningless.
There's a terrific thing that Neil Polin, who lives in Texas, has created.
I participated in this and found it extremely moving, and I would like you to know about it.
And Neil Polin, good to have you again on the show.
So in the time we have, please describe this terrific thing that you have created for July 4th.
Well, thanks, Dennis.
You know, you inspired me, Dennis, Linda and I, years ago, to put out there that we should do more than hamburgers and hot dogs during July 4th.
So we decided to make a July 4th forgettable event by having a social mixer in which you get to be one of the founding fathers.
It's kind of a role-playing event, and it looks something like this.
We invite 50 to 100 people to our house.
Could be 25 as well, but we 50 to 100 people.
When you get to the front door, you're handed a bio card which describes the founder you're going to be for the day.
You have a name tag.
On the card, it shows where you are in the famous picture of the signers.
We show you your signature on the Declaration of Independence.
And then we just kind of ask that you schmooze around and be in that character for as much or as little as you'd like.
And so it's a great icebreaker.
It's a great social mixer.
And we have a wreath of the Declaration of Independence with a quill pen.
And I'll tell you, people stand online for this.
And before we have the signing, we have a town hall meeting.
Real quickly, the town hall meeting, It's a dynamic kind of meeting that says, all right, before we sign this declaration, do any of your founders have concerns before you sign this?
And so we have a couple of people in the audience pre-authorized to say this.
One might raise their hand and say, I'm afraid King George is going to come after me.
He's going to see my name here.
My life's in danger.
Someone else might say, God, I'm afraid of being shunned by my neighbors.
I'm afraid of losing my wealth.
So we get into the real character, and then we all pledge to each other to protect each other with our militias, and we...
this declaration.
And we all come together with that.
During the whole time, there is a treasure hunt.
during the time there is a treasure hunt for the children to gain points and win something later.
And so it becomes an additional social mixer and keeps the adults engaged.
So it's just so thrilling.
And you were part of that.
I was.
And I think you were Abraham Clark.
You were Abraham Clark, I think.
I don't remember who I was.
I only remember that I had the chills when I signed his name to the Declaration.
Learned about him and learned about the other signers.
This is kids find this moving.
Adults find this moving.
So obviously, how do people get this kit?
So we came out with a kit.
Our business is called Celebrate Our Country.
It's dedicated to remembering our country's greatness through these social mixers.
It's also constitutional.
But this one is called Remembering the Declaration Signers.
And you can go to Celebrate.
OurCountry.com and you will find it there.
Or, by the way, just let me tell you and everybody else, we're so much fans.
And this is not a paid ad, folks.
Just want you to know.
This is just because I want you to know about this.
It is also up at DennisPrager.com if that's easier for you.
I'm a big believer in what you're doing, obviously.
Well, thank you.
You were the inspiration behind this.
And we're taking it further and further to education.
Well, God bless you, Neil Poland.
It is up at DennisPrager.com, the ceremony of the signing of the Declaration.
You learn who you are.
It is uncanny how rapidly you identify with the character you're given.
The real person.
How many of you could name signers beyond?
You know, two or three, beyond John Hancock.
It's true for all of us.
It's not how many of you, how many can I? And then they become alive.
Never in American history was it more important to make July 4th meaningful.
Thank you, and now I'm delighted.
And I am, because this is a pain-killing miracle relief factor.
For people who suffer from joint and muscle pain, I took my packet today, by the way.
I work out on Tuesdays, among other days, and I know I'm going to be sore.

Relieffactor.com 800-500-8384 And I just want to say as bluntly and loudly as I can,
folks, there is hope.
God is the hope of these people.
And if you care about the society, even if you don't believe in God, you've got to notice this is the pattern.
These men find God.
They get healed.
Their lives are changed.
Who wouldn't be for that?
Who wouldn't be for that?
So, Lee, I'm just grateful to you for making this.
Film, when did you get the idea to make this?
Because I just love this.
We had played the separate stories on the air and the response on secular stations.
Our show is on secular stations.
Heck, we followed Dr. Drew in Los Angeles and there wasn't a complaint with these men using the word Jesus.
This is the strength, right?
It's their story.
It's not us proselytizing.
It's us getting out of the way and showing the power of Christ through another person.
And so that's how it happened.
We were broadcasting these as podcasts.
And then one day I said, this should be our first film.
Let's get the cameras on these guys.
And it was that simple.
And the next thing you know, we had a beautiful hour and 10-minute film that I promise you, it'll make you weep.
And bring it to your friends who are on the fence as religious folks, on the fence either as Christians or on the fence in their life.
Because so many Americans are on the fence, spiritually, economically, and you can have all the money in the world and be poor, and you can have not a lot of money at all and be rich.
And this is the greatest Christian notion of them all.
And this film proves it.
These men, as Carlos Colon said, the second 10 years of his sentence when he found the Lord were the best 10 years of his life and he was in jail.

Hi.
I am a little surprised.
How are you today?
I know.
I know.
I read my listeners.
I agree with you that we need to be expediting visas for people from Afghanistan.
I'm a little surprised to hear you making an issue of it.
Maybe you didn't know what was happening during the Trump administration, but I just want to read you real briefly.
This is from May 1st, 2019, so just a couple years ago.
In Iraq, there is a backlog of more than 100 people now in the P2 direct access program.
Last year, 200 were cleared, down from nearly 10,000 in 2016.
And the number of Afghans getting visas, down 60%.
More than 4,000 were cleared in fiscal 2017, compared with only 1,650 in 2018.
Was this an issue when Trump was cutting the number of people getting these visas?
So let me ask you a question.
I will answer you.
This is human to human.
Would you say you've heard me more than 50 times?
I'm sorry, what?
Would you say you've heard my show more than 50 times?
5-0?
Yes.
Okay.
So what do you think the answer is?
Do you think I was quiet about our abandoning Iraqi translators because it was Trump?
What do you think the answer is?
I don't know.
That's why I called.
Right, okay.
If you had to bet.
Would you just flip a coin?
I'm not giving you a hard time.
I'm curious to know your thinking.
Well, not to give you a hard time, and I really mean that.
I know, I know that.
So I'm just asking your perception of me.
I'm being totally open with you.
Do you think that because Trump did it, I don't give a damn about Iraqi translators who helped Americans?
Is that your perception of me?
I know you didn't.
You asked the question.
So I'm answering, what do you think the answer to your question is?
I'm not playing games.
I'm wondering if maybe you just didn't...
I knew it, and I talked about it, and I was ticked off.
Ticked off.
It has nothing to do with who's president.
Nothing.
I was disgusted about the Iraqi translators, and I read editorials about it then, and I'm disgusted about the Afghans.
That's it.
And in both cases, the State Department, if they gave a damn about human life rather than BLM and gay pride, they could save these lives in a nanosecond.
This is a bureaucracy thing.
It's also a presidential thing, because the president could make a big deal.
We don't abandon our allies.
And it was depressing when it happened in Iraq under Trump, and it's depressing today in Afghanistan under Biden.
That's it.
It just is.
I mean, even on purely selfish grounds, - Thank you.
Don't we want to send the message, if you help America, we don't abandon you?

So today in California, supposedly the mandate for wearing masks has ended.
It's gargantuan idiocy, among the many idiocies we have lived through.
Now, did you notice today, when you do your jogging, there's nobody on the street, you do it so early, so there's nothing you can tell, but did you see people today?
Because when I walked into this building, I saw one person who was not masked.
So do you have any take yet on whether Californians are abandoning their masks?
Which, if you heard Ami Horowitz yesterday, you should see his video.
Is it still up at DennisPrager.com?
Ami Horowitz made a video asking people, it's four and a half minutes, it's very sobering, asking people in Manhattan, Why are they wearing masks outdoors?
And the answers were frightening.
I mean, at least honest.
One woman said, it's my pacifier.
Another one said, I'm used to it.
And that's what it's become.
I am very, very curious to see.
I'm going to try to go today or tomorrow into some store, you know, big store, like a grocery store.
So let me understand.

He was a Rolodex dialer of high and powerful people.
And for that, he got paid.
Most of the things he did was connections.
Burisma clearly hired him to try to get the stain of their criminal investigations away from them.
And we're going to break some new news next week that will show exactly what Hunter Biden was doing, what he was directing to try to make those criminal investigations go away.
His private law firm.
So he goes in.
This is something very important that most people haven't picked up on.
He gets to be a board member.
As soon as he's a board member, one of the first things he does is he hires himself as a private lawyer through his firm, Boy Schiller, and he gets another quarter million dollars kicked to his law firm, which, by the way, comes back to him.
and he gets the payments for it. - Keep up with what's trending.

Illegal border crossing attempts reaching a new high under Joe Biden.

Federal law enforcement at the U.S.-Mexico border stopped over 180,000 people.
Who tried to enter the country illegally last month.
It's the highest number in more than two decades.
You're doing great, border czar.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is snapping now at reporters openly.
It took a Univision reporter to get under the skin of the thin-skinned Vice President Kamala Harris.
This is classic.

We'll be right back.

Dennis Prager here.
Glenn, Ontario, California.
Hello there.
Hi, Mr. Prager.
Real quick, I stopped at Stater Brothers on the way to work this morning.
And Stater Brothers is a big grocery chain here.
And I went in without a mask.
And I saw about seven people in line with a mask on.
And I said, isn't the mandate over today?
And the lady at the checkout counter said, yes, you don't have to wear it.
And I said, man.
All the sheep still wearing masks.
I think that the government scared them that much.
So that's just to answer a question about what you just talked about.
Why I called, I told the call screener about what I believe should come to no surprise to us in the schools is that we have activists masquerading as teachers now in the public school system.
And over the last five years, I've noticed that when I talk to my students' teachers, I have these dialogues with them.
And I ask questions like, Do you teach the differentiation between biological males and biological females?
Ask if it's male or female, because that's hitting into their vocabulary.
And what I've noticed is they use the vocabulary of activists, a lot of these teachers.
And that's kind of where we are right now.
It's activists masquerading as teachers.
Yes, you know what?
That is an excellent, excellent phrase.
I will adopt it, and this is another example of me learning something.
Superb from a caller.
Activists masquerading as teachers.
Let's keep that.
That's exactly right.
It's all a masquerade.
It's activists masquerading as congressmen, activists masquerading as governors, activists masquerading as doctors.
That's right.
We're in a giant masquerade.
Masquerade with a K? Oh, good one!
Why didn't you react when I said about your reaction to Andrew and Todd?
You're a little embarrassed.
Things are normal here at the Dennis Prager Show, I'm happy to report.
That is exactly right, my friends.
In three words, four words, you now know why.
Reason number 50, to take your children out of most schools.
They're not taught by teachers.
They're taught by activists masquerading as teachers.
I'm Dennis Prager.

This is the most profound discovery in human history.
This discovery proves that he is coming back.
Obama tore this country down.
No one stood up to him.
Nobody.
My parents didn't teach me that I was a victim.
And Uncle Tom is somebody who has sold out.
I will not pretend to be a victim in this country.
I know that that makes many people on the left uncomfortable.
Most black people don't believe that other blacks can be independent, free thinkers.
When there's chaos, when there's pandemics, when there's riots, people think, where is God?
God always manages to re-emerge.
This Constitution is intended for a moral and religious people.
It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.

These statistics are astonishing.
I'll say it again.
85% of kids in prison, youths in prison, 85% don't have a father in the home.
70% of black Americans don't have a father in the home.
Your film, The Streets Were My Father, available at salemnow.com, shows that in the cases of three hardcore men, Who were in lives of crime, who didn't have fathers.
Jesus managed to get to them and they managed to accept God their father.
So talk about that for a minute.
That's why we did the movie.
I mean, hopelessness without hope is nihilism.
Each of these three men encountered God through either personal testimonials.
One heard the testimony of a Latin King's gang leader who had almost had his head cut off.
And that guy was teaching and preaching at the prison church.
And Leslie Williams said, if God can save him, God can save me.
I want more out of my life than this.
God had spared me, he said, of being killed.
Most of my friends in their 30s were dead or here in prison.
I wanted more out of life.
What could be a more universal pride than Leslie Williams?
At the end of the film, he breaks down talking about the father he never had, but that he had a father now.
And it was God the Father.
By the way, none of these men, Eric, talked about the cops.
None of them talked about systemic racism.
None of them talked about any of the things that you hear on the television.
It was fathers, fathers, fathers.
It was gangs, gangs, gangs.
And it was God, God, God.
And these are their testimonies.
Have you noticed?
You are, right?

And I've told you about the execution-style of five cops in Dallas.
All were killed by three different black men.
All of the three black men were motivated by this false notion that black people were being killed by the police because they were black.
Now, Obama said, if I had a son, he looked like Trayvon.
Obama said, we've got our own problems.

Hi everybody, here's a woman I want to meet.
Ye Anmi Park.
She's a North Korean attending Columbia University.
She escaped from North Korea with her mother.
It is unbelievably difficult to escape North Korea.
And when you do, you usually end up in China.
In fact, you always end up in China.
And there you are very often trafficked as a slave or a sex slave.
So you've gone from one hell to another hell, although it gives you an idea of what it is like in North Korea to prefer the option of being a slave in China.
Better to be a slave in China than a non-slave in North Korea.
Anyway, she got out of there as well.
She is now a student at Columbia University, one of America's wastelands.
I'm going to read to you about her Daily Mail, June 15th.
Today is June 15th.
By the way, today...
The mandate about wearing masks is now lifted, except for workers, for no good reason, is about as good a reason as the masks were originally.
No good reason.
They're useless or dangerous.
And they have a horrible social impact, which nobody talks about.
A faceless society is a meaner, more callous, less human society.
But, so what?
Safety is the ultimate God.
That's an interesting ultimate issues topic, perhaps, for today.
Because it's not just safety in terms of physical health.
Remember, no safe spaces.
Safe spaces.
Safe.
Instead of saying goodbye, now Americans say, be safe.
Anyway, the reports I'm getting, I live in Southern California, are that just as many people are wearing masks today as yesterday.
The lifting of the mandate seems to have had almost no impact.
You know why?
It's like lifting the mandate on rabbit's feet.
Yeah, from today on, rabbit's feet don't work.
But if you thought rabbit's feet worked yesterday, then rabbit's feet work today.
By the way, it is interesting that generally speaking, if there has been a division, it's been conservative left, and it's been religious, non-religious.
There's more superstition in the secular world than in the religious world in America.
And now to the article about this woman.
A woman who fled North Korea when she was a teenager and is now attending Columbia University.
Said she is seeing a lot of similarities between the totalitarian regime she grew up with and the education she is now receiving in the United States.
Ye Anmi Park and her mother fled North Korea to China over the frozen Yalu River in 2007 when she was just 13. So if she was 13 in 2007, And this is 14 years later.
She's 27 years old.
And the two were sold into slavery by human traffickers.
They were ultimately able to flee to Mongolia with the help of Christian missionaries.
May I say God bless you to those Christian missionaries.
That's God's work.
They're among the few people, I believe, who believe in God.
If belief in God is theological and action, not many people believe in God.
My theory.
And trekked across the Gobi Desert.
Can you imagine that?
Across the frozen Yalu River.
Picked up by traffickers to be slaves in China.
And by the way, they didn't speak Chinese.
Maybe they learned it, but...
Remember, China is as foreign to a Korean as it is to an American.
Then they trekked across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
I'd like to meet her mother.
Sounds like a remarkable human being.
Eventually to find refuge in South Korea, where Park, now 27, attended college before transferring to Colombia in 2016. I literally crossed the Gobi Desert to be free, and I realized I'm not free.
America's not free.
See what the left has done to America?
I expected that I was paying this fortune, all this time and energy, to learn how to think, she told Fox News.
But they are forcing you to think the way they want you to think.
I realized, wow, this is insane.
I thought America was different.
But I saw so many similarities to what I saw in North Korea that I started worrying.
Everybody should read this.
Putting it up at DennisPrager.com.
You got the article?
Park said that her professors would give them trigger warnings.
And allow them to opt out of readings and discussions.
Going to Columbia, the first thing I learned was safe space, she told the New York Post.
She explained that when she started school at Columbia, she was excited to learn more about history, a subject she said was discouraged in her homeland.
But when her teacher, discussing Western civilization, asked if students had an issue with the name of the class topic, most did.
saying there was a quote colonial slant.
Where am I?
Let's see here.
Yep.
Every problem they explained to us is because of white men, she said.
Reminding her of her home country, again North Korea.
Where people will categorize based on their ancestors.
During her orientation, a professor asked who the class who liked, I guess, who in the class liked classical books, like Jane Austen.
I said, I love those books.
I thought it was a good thing.
Then she said, did you know those writers had a colonial mindset?
They were racists and bigots and are subconsciously brainwashing you.
From there, she said her classes were filled with anti-American sentiment, reminding her of her childhood in North Korea, where students were constantly taught about the American bastard, which was the only way they were allowed to refer to Americans.
I thought North Koreans were the only people who hated Americans.
But it turns out there are a lot of people hating this country.
In this country.
That line was worth the whole article.
The whole article is great.
Let me repeat it to you.
I thought North Koreans were the only people who hated Americans.
But turns out there are a lot of people hating this country in this country.
North Korea is run by the left, and America is run by the left.
Certainly Colombia is.
The leftists around the world have very common values.
Just as conservatives around the world do.
Many of the classes at Columbia, she said, would teach the students about how white men have ruined everything, despite leaders like Mao Zedong killing political dissidents.
Because I have seen oppression, another key line.
Because I have seen oppression, I know what it looks like, Park said, adding that she saw people dying of starvation by the time she was 13. These kids keep saying how they're oppressed.
How much injustice they've experienced, Park said of her fellow students.
They don't know how hard it is to be free.
But, she said, here in America, people are just dying to give their rights and power to the government.
That is what scares me the most.
She said, adding, power can corrupt.
That's just the nature of power.
This young woman has more wisdom than probably any teacher at Columbia.
Nothing like growing up in evil.
People from communist countries are the only immigrants who are generally reliably not leftist.
They have seen the leftist future, and it doesn't work.

George Friedman, welcome back to my show.
Always happy to be here.
Thank you.
I appreciate that.

Where are you going to be speaking?

Where are you going to be speaking?
Is it Budapest?
And what is the group?
I'm asking my producer.
I'll get it for you.
Anyway, the reason I mention that, aside from that we would have that in common, is I'm going to start with something I don't remember you're addressing, and that is Eastern Europe.
Because whenever people say we're joining Europe, or they think of Europe, it's always Western Europe.
When I spoke in Romania three years ago, I told them, they asked me, well...
You know, what's going to happen with Western Europe?
And I said to them, here's a thought for you.
Maybe Eastern Europe will save the West, not Western Europe.
What's your take on Eastern Europe?
My take is very much like yours.
I've been involved in trying to organize Eastern Europe into something called Intermarium, an old concept of an alliance with Poland, Hungary, Romania, and some of the other countries, on the premise that the Germans are...
At the very least, unreliable.
And the Russians are dangerous.
And they've actually moved in that direction a bit.
But yeah, my article did mention Eastern Europe, which is to say, well, Biden absolutely delighted his different companions at G7. He terrified the Poles and Hungarians.
Go on.
Well, I mean, he's talking about joining Europe.
What Europe?
There is no such thing as Europe.
Europe is a continent that has a lot of different countries.
Back in 1945, it was wrecked.
The Soviets were threatening.
The U.S. had a reason to come into Europe, organize, feed it, to resist the communists.
We are now in a position where the Europeans, taken as a whole, are as wealthy as the Americans.
There is no reason why their military The fact is that they are trying to leech off the United States to take the risk of defending them when they're not even prepared to cooperate with the United States, really, countries like China.
The countries that are on the front line who are facing the Russians, like the Poles, like the Hungarians, the Romanians, are absolutely terrified.
They're not terrified of the Americans.
God knows.
They all pray that, as was done under the Trump administration, So,
are they worried in Poland, for example, about America leaving Europe militarily, taking our troops out of Germany?
Well, they're worried about things like there's something called Nord Stream 2. It's an oil pipeline, it's a gas pipeline going from Russia to Germany.
The United States opposed it, the Germans wanted it.
The U.S. opposed it because the last time the Russians were shipping that much oil to Europe, they cut off the supply of the Europeans to try to do the things that the Russians wanted.
Well, the Biden administration, in one of its very first actions, agreed to Nord Stream 2. The Poles in these countries fear it's going to leave them completely exposed.
That's the biggest issue.
The second biggest issue is that NATO doesn't exist.
It's a place where you go have dinners and champagne and everything else.
You can't have a military alliance without a military.
And aside from the British, most of the Europeans don't have militaries.
We have 40,000 troops in Germany.
That's not enough to do much.
We tried to withdraw 10,000 under Trump.
We're going to get back to that in a moment.
Let's remember that and talk about Trump in Europe as well.

*music* Hello everybody, I'm Dennis Prager and it is a pleasure to be with you with George Friedman, founder and president of Geopolitical Futures.
About as cogent an analysis of the world situation on a daily basis as exists.
That's at geopoliticalfutures.com.
Talking about Europe today and the press celebrating the rejoining of Europe.
We're talking about Eastern Europe.
And the fears that they have about the rapprochement with Russia on the part of Western Europe and the Americans.
I just want to say, and then continue with what you want or I'll just keep asking questions, but if President Trump had okayed the Russian pipeline, It would have been regarded as another example of his kowtowing to Putin.
But when Joseph Biden does it, not a word from the media.
Is that a fair analysis?
It's pretty fair.
Very fair, in fact.
And similarly, when Biden decides to keep U.S. forces in Poland, which he has so far, everybody's okay with that.
But this is American politics.
This is the way it'll go.
If you're going to be president, you've got to expect that and more.
Okay, so back to the issue here.
Does Eastern Europe fear an American pullout of troops from Germany?
They're not afraid of an American pullout of Germany so long as it remains in the region.
They are, however, afraid of Germany.
Hard as it is to believe when you go to Poland, they say, Between the Russians and the Germans.
And the Germans, you can't predict what they're going to do.
Now, this may be just Polish hype, but I don't think it is.
I think this is their historic enemy and dangerous.
But they're most afraid of the collapse of NATO. NATO doesn't exist.
We talk about it as it exists.
It's just meeting.
You can't have a military alliance without militaries.
And the Europeans have not lived up to their obligations to devote 2% of their GDP to building military forces.
They simply ignored it.
So the United States, we do much more than 2%, is expected to carry the load.
And there's a question there that we Americans have to ask.
The Europeans have abandoned NATO. They accuse us of doing it, but we didn't.
Now that they've abandoned NATO, they have maintained militaries.
We have insufficient force to be affected in there.
We always had allies, but they're in danger.
How do we protect Eastern Europe from a profitable Russian attack without allies?
Germany is not able to defy any force for this.
And so the real fear here is this.
We're part of a military defense alliance, which is incapable of defending itself, because most of its European allies won't build systems.
Right.
So Donald Trump was the first president to truly bring attention to that.
You guys are not living up to the demands of NATO membership in terms of military expenditures.
And he was vilified, of course, for it.
And now we're back to the status quo ante, correct?
Where we don't bug the NATO allies and everybody has a nice champagne dinner in Brussels.
Exactly.
But what really bothers me is this idea that we left NATO. Trump was totally committed to NATO. He was simply demanding that the others carry out agreements they had made in writing, and they refused to do it.
And it was portrayed both in the European press, but particularly the American press, as him breaking the Atlantic relationship.
It was actually the Europeans who broke the That's exactly right.
The upside-down world of the left and the media in the United States.
So what would you like the U.S. to do vis-a-vis NATO? I mean, let us say the U.S. said, it's not going to happen, but let's say the U.S. said, you know what, it's now a bunch of meetings.
You guys are, I love your phrase, you're a military alliance without militaries.
So since that doesn't work, There's no reason to have NATO anymore.
What would happen?
We could have bilateral relations with the various countries that are at risk and are willing to add up.
And that's the Eastern European countries.
That's Poland, that's Hungary, that's Romania, that's Bulgaria, these countries.
And really, tell the rest of the Europeans you're on your own.
They're not actually at risk.
But the idea, for example, we are guarding the French, and the French are conducting any foreign policy they want, whether it is good for the United States or not.
You can't both be protected by the United States and then have your own free foreign policy.
It's nice if you can get it, but you can't get it.
And the problem is that Biden is going to cover for them.
So in order that he domestically appear to be an Atlanticist, which is considered very sophisticated and proper, He went to that meeting and he came back with almost nothing.
Meager support on China.
No commitment to build major forces.
An agreement that we're going to build Nord Stream.
He came back with nothing.
And yes, our real allies, Poland and these other countries, are panicking.
They're panicking not about the Americans being there.
They pretty much know the Americans will come.
But can the Americans get there through the Europeans?
Will they let their rail system be used, the roads be used to bring American troops in?
And this is a fear, because between the Atlantic and these countries, there are a bunch of countries who do not want to get involved in a war.
I don't think some of them are going to let us through.
Wow.
Well, I have a motto about life of the last hundred.
20, 30 years.
Germany is always wrong.

Geopoliticalfutures.com, talking about Europe and the president's visit and this press's celebration of America returning to Europe, whatever that means.
So basically, what is it that the Europeans want from the United States, in your opinion?
We're talking Western Europeans.
In their ideal world, and this is not a joke, they want the United States to station substantial forces there under NATO so Europeans get to decide whether they be abused.
In addition, allow the Europeans to conduct their own foreign policy.
We sort of have done that.
So when it came time to talk about sanctions against China or joining us in boycotts or what have you, only three countries, France, Canada, and France, And the United Kingdom went with us, and the rest of them said they're going to have to think about it.
Would you have predicted those three?
If you'd have said to me last week, what three Western countries would side with the U.S. with regard to the Chinese threat?
I would not have known to guess those three.
Well, the Canadians are still our buddies.
For all the stuff that Biden has done, they'll be with us.
They always have been.
The British, of course, they sent us aircraft carriers down there.
They don't have many, but they came.
As for the French, they're kind of in a duel with the Germans who dominates.
So what everyone's doing right now, the French do the opposite.
So just as we get ticked off by the French, they're ticked off the rest of Europe.
On the other hand, the French are not going to do anything substantial.
The British will.
The Canadians will.

Well, I'll tell you, we have a lot of, as usual for Governor Newsom out here, a lot of unclarity.
They have not set the recall election date yet.
Our best guess, Hugh, is that it's going to be in November.
And in the meantime, as I think, you know, Newsom has been touting for a while that you know in June 15th he was going to fully reopen the state but as we learned just last Friday he's decided he's going to keep the state of emergency and you know once again it's Newsom changing his mind showing his true colors to try to retain power at any cost out here.
Now, the amazing thing to people who live across the United States, they know generally there will be a recall, such as took Gray Davis out and put Arnold in.
It's an unusual circumstance.
But what is different now from then is not being able to know when the election is.
How do they get away with that, Mayor Faulkner?
Well, look, you hit the nail on the head.
And what you saw is the democratically controlled legislature a year or so ago decided to change the rules.
Look, at some point, they know they have a deadline.
It's actually coming up.
Our best guess is, as I said, that they're going to set it for November.
But, you know, for us, it doesn't matter.
I will tell you, Hugh, Californians are angry.
They are frustrated.
That's why 2 million Californians signed this recall petition for a governor that is failing, and not just failing on the pandemic, Hugh, but really failing on all of the major issues out here in California in terms of homelessness, affordability, rising crime.
So look, we're ready.
We're ready for the elections tomorrow.
The thing that strikes me first is not how How awful of a person Hunter Biden is.
I think that's been rather established.
And it goes on and on and on.
He uses the N-word.
He uses the N-word.
Of course, we know there's very little to no outrage at all from the activist press.
What I find to be very interesting about this whole story is how Hunter Biden and his lawyer Going back using very racially charged language, including a meme between Barack Obama and Joe Biden, again saying the N-word.
They never thought any of this would become public, by the way.
What is done in darkness will always come to light.
And I just want to say as bluntly and loudly as I can, folks, there is hope.
God is the hope of these people.
And if you care about the society, even if you don't believe in God, you've got to notice this is the pattern.
These men find God, they get healed, their lives are changed.
Who wouldn't be for that?
Who wouldn't be for that?
So Lee, I'm just grateful to you for making this.
Phil, when did you get the idea to make this?
Because I just love this.
We had played the separate stories on the air and the response on secular stations.
Our show is on secular stations.
Heck, we followed Dr. Drew in Los Angeles, and there wasn't a complaint with these men using the word Jesus.
And the next thing you know, we had a beautiful hour and 10-minute film that I promise you, it'll make you weep and bring it to your friends who are on the fence as religious folks, on the fence either as Christians or on the fence in their life.
Because so many Americans are on the fence, spiritually, economically, and you can have all the money in the world and be poor, and you can have not a lot of money at all and be rich.
And this is the greatest Christian notion of them all.
And this film proves it.

How about eight anti-Trump narratives that the media is finally forced to.
Music playing.
Music playing.
One might say that the current staggering crisis in the United States and the West is precisely an absence of discussion of learning about and assimilating ultimate issues, values, etc.
There are no ultimate issues.
The only ultimate issue is racism at our elementary schools, high schools, and colleges.
So Ultimate Issues Hour has turned out to be perhaps the most important of all the hours.
So welcome to it.
Today's subject is one of the false gods of our age.
What's a false god?
That which is an end in itself.
The only end for the Judeo-Christian value system is God and His values.
God and His commandments, moral will, however you wish to phrase it.
Everything else is a false god.
Whatever doesn't lead to God and His moral will.
And that could be anything.
And it's...
Often things that are good.
It's usually things that are good.
But if they become ends in themselves, they are bad.
So today I'm going to address the most obvious of the false gods of the current moment, and that is safety.
Or safe.
As in, be safe.
As in, it's not safe.
As in, I don't feel safe.
As in safe spaces.
As in better safe than sorry.
Right?
Think about it.
How often the word is used.
Hmm?
Yeah, it did say be safe.
Yeah.
That was the first one.
Safe.
Let me ask you a question, my dear listener.
Heroic people of the past, whether people you knew or people that you didn't know that are just famous from the past, who are great, not famous, and aren't great.
Would you say that they played it safe?
Can you think of anyone who has accomplished anything in life who, quote, played it safe, unquote?
Of course not.
Safe?
I was very lucky when I think about it in my upbringing.
There was no preoccupation with my safety.
My parents didn't take silly risks with my safety.
They just weren't preoccupied with it.
And on the occasion when my mother would be preoccupied with it, my father would have an answer, which I never understood.
Oddly enough, I'll tell you why in a moment.
He would say to her, what are you going to do?
Keep him in a china closet?
I'll never forget his phrase.
And for a good chunk of my youth, I thought a China closet was a closet made in China.
I did not realize it was a closet for China, for the dishes that would be associated with China.
But it didn't matter that I didn't understand the term China closet.
What mattered was that I heard my father say, what are you going to do, keep him in a china closet?
So at the age of seven, my parents allowed me to fly from New York, where I grew up, to Florida to visit my beloved late Aunt Chippy, source of great joy in my childhood.
Happiest times of my life were there with her at Miami Beach.
And when I tell kids today that I flew alone at the age of seven, nobody accompanied me.
My parents saw me off at the airport.
You were allowed to go to the gate in those days.
It was pre-9-11 and way, way pre-9-11.
And they would say, goodbye, have a great flight.
And I would go on the plane.
I didn't get special attention.
That I recall from any of what were then known as stewardesses.
And I got off the plane, my aunt would greet me and life would be fine.
Nobody had to sign a paper, nobody had to pay extra because I was under 15 or 16 or whatever the cutoff age is.
I grew up in an age where play it safe was not even an option.
At least it wasn't in my upbringing.
I am the better man for it.
The only time I ask if something is safe is if there is a genuine, novel risk to it.
I would jump out of an airplane.
I would.
Both my sons independently did.
One in Pennsylvania, one in Florida.
I had no misgivings about my sons jumping out of an airplane, though they had never done anything remotely like it.
The fact that they didn't play it safe, there is a risk to jumping out of an airplane.
However, I am blessed with a rational mind, and I simply asked, what are the odds against their parachute?
Not deploying, or whatever the term would be, not expanding, whatever, I don't remember the verb.
But their parachute not working, and the parachute of the person jumping, the expert with them also not working, or whatever it would be, the fail-safe provisions.
Every so often, you actually do read about somebody jumping out of an airplane, Parachute not working and they're falling to their death.
However, it is sufficiently rare for me to weigh what kind of sons do I want?
Those who play it safe because there is this extremely small chance that they will die jumping out of a plane, or those who don't play it safe and thereby test themselves and do something That is a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Neither wants to do it again, neither planned on doing it a second time.
They wanted it on camera.
Somebody does jump with them and videos them on the way down, and they have it.
And they also were able to say to themselves, I took a calculated risk.
I did something against my nature, and I jumped out of a plane.
I am proud of both my sons for having done it.
I did not encourage it.
I did not even discuss it with them.
They simply told me, as a fait accompli, we will be independently.
They didn't even discuss it with each other.
Independently, they decided to jump out of a plane.
It would be an interesting question, what percentage of mask wearers today would jump out of a plane?
And by interesting, I don't mean it as a euphemism.
It would be an interesting question.
Would mask wearers outdoors be less likely to jump out of a plane?
What do you think?
You have a thought on that?
Yeah.
I don't think it would, right?
Oh, right.
So you think there would be a correlation?
Yes.
Yeah.
I suspect so as well.
But this past year and a half has shown the God of safety to be the God that it is.
I knew this before COVID, remember?
When I had, Sean, do you have my national anthem?
What is it, Better Safe Than Sorry?
I mean, we made this up at least five years ago.
There you go.
That preceded COVID by years.
So I have worried about this for years.
If you have a theory as to why we have decided to worship at this era's version of Baal, as it is in the original Hebrew, the famous false god in the Old Testament, I want to hear from you.

The Ultimate Issues Hour.
I want to remind you, actually apropos of the Ultimate Issues Hour, of the movie The Streets Were My Father.
It's Father's Day coming up, and this is a great film.
You know that about 85% of youths in prison come from fatherless homes?
So this is about a film of guys who were gang members, who had no fathers, and whose lives were ultimately turned around in pretty much the only way that it works, and that is they ultimately found God, which I know that if you went to a secular university, you find silly.
Men give birth is not silly.
God is an answer to many problems in an individual's lives.
That's silly.
See?
The silly meter is broken.

That's why it's a false god.
Instead of God says, you just say safety says.
And that's it.
Why are there safe spaces at colleges?
What is unsafe about a conservative coming to the college?
I'll tell you what it is.
It's unsafe because you might have to deal with an idea that you don't like.
Now, that's not unsafe, but that's what it's declared, and therefore people line up to protest the arrival of a conservative speaker.
People don't get married because they're playing it safe.
It's safer not to marry and it's safer not to have children.
That's what it is.
It's the God of safety that has caused so many emptier lives. - Thank you.
If you play it safe, you will do nothing meaningful in life.
Nothing.
And you will be awful to live with.
But other than that, it's a great ideal.
Play it safe.
That's what it's all about.
From the young people not marrying and not having children, People have called me in the course of years to say, well, you know, why would I get married?
They look at the divorce rate.
I said, well, why drive a car?
Look at the crash rate.
Nobody's had a good answer for me to that.
Why isn't that the same question?
Alrighty, everybody.
1-8 Prager 776. And Columbus, Ohio, JR. Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
You've made a wonderful impact on my life and my family's life.
Good.
I'm glad.
Thank you.
Absolutely.
So, I've jumped out of planes multiple times in my life, and my son, who is 19, a freshman in college, a few months ago, Decided to go parachuting.
And he didn't tell me.
And my wife didn't tell me because she knew I'd be nervous.
And my son had zero fear.
And we talked about it after he was done.
And my two beautiful children are not snowflakes.
I didn't raise them that way.
I'm sweet, loving, kind, but I'm not going to be their friend.
I am their father, and they are both the most functional young adults I've ever seen.
I believe you.
It's an interesting question, actually.
How would you react?
I'm just thinking of it now in light of my story about my two sons, JR and Columbus.
How would you react if your son or daughter said, I'm going to jump out of a plane?
It's an interesting test.
We have a mother in the studio right now with two young sons.
Her very, very broad smile suggests to me that I don't know what her answer would be.
It was an ambiguous smile.
But it's a very interesting question.
Those of you who were parents, your son or daughter calls from college, where you unfortunately sent them, and say, you know, next Sunday I'm going to jump out of a plane.
Would you go over my dead body?
Or, you know what?
I think it's a great idea.
And I didn't even think of it as a test in my case, when one son did it two years ago, and another son just did it, and I didn't even react.
I mean, I just thought, well, that's great.
Send me the video.
I do believe that the play it's safe, the question to me that I haven't fully answered is how did this arise?
Americans were not known.
Land of the free and home of the brave, I took that seriously.
It is now the land of the anti-free, literally anti-freedom, and the land of the coward.
The transformation of America in my lifetime is worthy of crying over, truly weeping.
And cowardice is now considered virtuous in all the backwardness.
God is silly, but men give birth is not silly.
Get it?
That was one example I offered earlier.
Everything is just upside down.
It is now a virtue to be a coward.
You wear a mask outdoors, and 99% of the cases, if you have some spectacular crisis of your immune system, I'm not commenting on you.
But for everybody else, it is pure, irrational cowardice.
We'll be back.

Democrats have spent the past year pursuing an obvious contradiction.
Calling for more gun control while also sympathizing with the defund the police movement.

Publicpolicy.pepperdine.edu Turning now to The Charlie Kirk Show.
There was a story of a young woman, including the White Bear Lake Police Department, by the name of Avery Severson.
Avery was trying to start a Turning Point USA chapter at White Bear Lake High School.
She woke up one day and all of a sudden was flooded with accusations that she was sending text messages just like Hunter Biden sent.
Very similar.
Same language, same vocabulary.
The school, of course, because she was a white conservative female, decided to try to destroy her life.
Protests in the middle of class walkouts, teachers and administrators.
This reached such a high level of a boiling point that the Federal Bureau of Investigation got involved to investigate the racist messages that allegedly Avery sent.
The FBI later cleared Avery's name, saying that she did not send these messages.
And up until recently, I missed this story.
It was a black female who actually staged the entire hoax at White Bear Lake High School.
A black female made up the entire thing.
A total hoax.
The school district was trying to protect her name, but now the name has been leaked to the media.
All the outrage, all of the attack on Avery Severson.
And so, those of you that see what happened to Hunter Biden, deep down you get angry about this because you know if this was your child in a New York City preparatory school, if this was your child in Riverside, California or in Chicago, your child would be kicked out of school and your life would be ruined.

The Ultimate Issues Hour, third hour every Tuesday.
Dennis Prager here.
I'll give you another example of the subject of this hour, safe, the god of safety.
It's apropos.
It's been apropos the entire career, actually.
I've mentioned this to you, that this is a great example.
Of playing it safe and just depriving people of great experiences.
From the beginning of my broadcast career, which goes back to 1982, a long time ago, and people would periodically call if I'd mentioned visiting Israel for whatever reason.
And they'd say, oh, I would love to go to Israel, but I'm going to wait until it's safe.
And, of course, those of us who visited Israel generally found it safer than almost any metropolitan area in the United States.
Believe me, you'd rather walk at midnight in Tel Aviv than midnight in Detroit, L.A., San Francisco, New York.
Et cetera, et cetera.
So it's somewhat of an odd thing.
In fact, I remember when I was in my 20s and still living in New York, Israelis would say to me, you live in New York?
Boy, it's so unsafe.
Which at the time it certainly was, and now it's reverted to that situation.
So people would say, oh, I'll go when it's safe.
And of course they've never gone.
Because what does it mean until Israel is safe?
Until there is no chance of a war?
Okay?
Then you'll never go.
And then you will have missed an opportunity to do something extremely meaningful.
For many, especially Jews and Christians, this is a particularly powerful experience.
Which reminds me, by the way, I am taking a group again.
I do it every other year of my listeners from all over the country to Israel in October.
And you can cancel until July, I think July something, I forgot the date, but until the first week of July, I believe, with no penalty in case things change.
Things change in terms of requirements to get in.
Be that as it may, I will be going, and there's a banner at my website.
I didn't raise the issue in order to mention that, but I'm mentioning it because it's rather relevant to my argument about playing it safe means you lose out in life.
Look, and the same thing holds true.
The safety thing is gigantic.
Why do you think so many young people don't marry or don't have children?
That's playing it safe.
So you really won on your tombstone?
He never got hurt?
She never got hurt?
All right.
Let's go to more of your calls here.
And we talked about your children jumping from a plane.
It's an interesting question couples should ask one another.
Hey, if, and then mention your kid's name, decided to jump from an airplane, would you be okay with it?
Alrighty, everybody.
And John in Los Angeles, hello.
Hello, John.
Hi, Dennis.
I'm in Los Angeles, and not long ago I was on the freeway early in the morning.
It was about 80. There was a motorcycle that passed me going about 120 and the guy was wearing a mask.
I want you to know that man is my hero.
I think that is hilarious.
That's a great little anecdote.
By the way, I'm okay with people going above the speed limit, but not 120 miles an hour, unless you're on the Autobahn.
I hope the guy got a ticket.
That's a very, very dangerous thing to do.
And if he's also wearing a mask, that's mind-boggling.
Yep, that was a good one.
All right, and oh, by the way, somebody is mentioning, yeah, I'll let them mention it, because I forgot to mention this.
Gail in Manhattan, in New York City.
Hi.
Hi there.
Your subject of safety interests me.
I just noticed it recently, and I live in Riverside Drive, and there are a number of children's playground parks.
I noticed the difference.
When did you ask me that we used to call them teeter-totters or seesaws?
Yes, stay on with me.
I have great passion about that subject.
Stay on with me.

It seems that the Hunter Biden laptop story lives on.
Now, how do I know that the Hunter Biden laptop has some juicier and juicier information on it?
Well, Rudy Giuliani, who is the Forrest Gump of American politics, no matter where he is, it's always right in the middle of the action.
Whether it's 9-11, the Ukrainian deal, the first impeachment, Donald Trump running for office, Rudy Giuliani is right in the middle of it.
And Rudy Giuliani happened to also get Hunter Biden's laptop, which, of course, they thought to have some sort of counteraction punishment, they served a search warrant against Rudy Giuliani just about a month ago, I believe.
And so the Daily Mail has just reported some new information that has come out of Hunter Biden's laptop, including text messages.
Exclusive, Hunter Biden addressed his white lawyer as, I'm not going to say the word, N-word.
Uses phrase like, true debt, N-word.
And bantered, I only love you because you're black.
In shocking texts unearthed days after Joe's emotional Tulsa speech decrying racism.
Goes on to say that Hunter Biden flippantly and regularly uses the N-word.
You look at these text messages.
These very graphic things.
He's very close.
He's unusually close with this lawyer talking about some very private parts of his body and other things.
And the thing that strikes me first is not how How awful of a person Hunter Biden is.
is I think that's been rather established.

This is the Ultimate Issues Hour, third hour every Tuesday.
It is about the god of safety.
False god.
Safe is good, but as a god, like all false gods, it leads to terrible things.
An impoverished life, among other things, and cowardice, etc.
So, it permeates all of life.
And I'm talking to Gail in Manhattan, New York City.
What was it, Riverside Park you were describing?
Yeah, Riverside Drive.
A number of small children's parks.
Right, I'm familiar.
So, you were noting that certain things are missing from when you grew up.
Is that the point you were making?
No, I'm from Ohio.
Wait, wait, wait.
You broke up.
It said, I'm from Ohio, and then it faded.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, up here.
Can you hear me?
Yep.
I'm just noticing as I walk along the drive, the change children's playground, they've been made so safe, I don't think they're any fun anymore.
At one of the bigger playgrounds, they used to be called Dinosaur Park.
Very large sculptures of dinosaurs.
The kids used to love to climb up on the back, so those are gone.
Why are they gone?
Wait, wait, wait.
Did they give a reason?
No.
There may have been a reason given.
You know, I wasn't that involved.
You think it's safety.
I think it's white supremacy.
Yeah.
Okay, all right.
You might be right.
Well, maybe it's the...
I don't know what you could call them.
They were there, and they're gone, even though there were rubber masks underneath them.
And the one harassed me, there was just some laughs or laughs.
So they dismantled that.
There were several slides.
One was fairly tall.
Again, they all have rubber masks around them.
The tall one is gone.
on local shop limited purple railing guard rail pony decide uh...
effect that there welcome to our partner to call them about the bond i think it's a wonder what what what is left What is left in this child's park?
They can't climb on dinosaurs?
I just wonder, who decided to remove the dinosaurs from the children's parks up in Manhattan there on the west side?
Who decided?
Was it up for a vote?
Did the people of Manhattan decide?
Did the city council of New York City decide?
Who did such a terrible thing to children?
I'll tell you what I do believe, and I know this will...
It doesn't matter what I know will happen.
I never speak with regard to what people will do to mangle what I said.
My suspicion is that it was disproportionately female advocates who got rid of the dinosaurs, lest their kids climb on them and get injured.
In the human species, as a general rule, there are many exceptions, but as a general rule, the female worries more than the male about injuries to, let's say, their children.
That's why you need both.
No worry is bad, and too much worry is bad.
And the too much worrying sex is in charge of a lot of these things with regard to children.
Most of their teachers, most of their principals, and whoever is activist, an activist with regards to dinosaurs.
Alrighty, thank you for that one.
Susan, Louisville, Kentucky, hello.
Hello, Dennis, thanks for taking my call.
Thank you.
I think it kind of comes to be an irrational fear of death.
We're playing it safe.
I think that that's true.
That's why I think secular society produces more cowards than religious society.
I can see that.
Yes, it's a very intelligent comment.
I'm a religious person.
My desire to live is as great as any secular person's.
I do not believe that death ends everything as a secular person does.
It is one of the major dividing lines between Judeo-Christian and a secular worldview.
In a secular worldview, you go to eternal oblivion, which is, for most people, not an endearing fate.
And in the Judeo-Christian worldview, whatever your religion that falls under, The Judeo-Christian, you believe that there is something after this life.
This is not all there is.
It has to have an effect.
To argue that that has no impact on the way a person leads their life is to assume that ideas don't matter.
All right.
And let's go to Joe in Seneca, South Carolina.
The famous Joe of Seneca.
Hello, Dennis.
Pleasure to talk to you again.
When was the last time?
It's been several months.
I've talked to you twice before, always on the subject of religion during this hour.
All right.
Welcome back.
The same thing.
The safety culture has been growing on us over the past several decades.
And Max Bank is a heavy industry for a big company where the cost of accidents to the company was $100 million a year or somewhere along the cost of litigating, losing, or settling lawsuits.
So the alternative was spend anything you had to to accidents in the first place.
Yeah, yeah.
Peloton is an example.

Final segment of the Ultimate Issues Hour this week, Tuesday, third hour, about the god of safety, the false god of safety.
Among its many, many terrible consequences is the creation of vast numbers of non-masculine men.
Masculine men do not worship the god of safety.
That is one of the attributes of masculinity.
I don't know any women who are seduced by afraid men.
Maybe they are.
Maybe it's a new world in which the guy who plays it safe is now alluring.
I personally don't get it.
It's hard for me to imagine.
That this comports with female nature to find such a man sexy, but everything has been inverted.
And that is, again, if that's the generation of males we had produced in the past, we would never have been able to fight World War II or any of the other wars that we fought.
But this is what we are producing.
The lawsuits are another example of the making safety into a god, as mentioned by the last caller.
If anything went awry...
I mean, look at the Peloton issue.
It is a tragedy that there was a child who...
Somehow got caught up in the Peloton treadmill and died.
Obviously, or not obviously, but presumably, the adult owner of the treadmill did not put on the emergency cord that has to be removed in order to make it go.
To create machines that cannot in any way injure anybody is almost impossible.
Keith, Don, Joe, Bob, Dorothy, Steve, and David, I wish I could have taken your calls.
