Dennis Prager Show - The Left Cannot Identify Hamas as Evil Aired: 2021-05-19 Duration: 06:49 === Why The Left Misses Evil (06:41) === [00:00:00] And the moral decay of the left. [00:00:03] I mean, if you can't distinguish right and wrong between the Hamas and Israel, you are a sick human being. [00:00:12] Truly sick. [00:00:13] You're sick in your soul. [00:00:17] Hamas is evil. [00:00:18] Is that not obvious? [00:00:22] Okay, the word Palestinian is irrelevant here. [00:00:25] Just like the word German was irrelevant in World War II, what was relevant was the word Nazi. [00:00:30] Okay? [00:00:31] Nazis were evil. [00:00:32] Hamas is evil. [00:00:33] I see very little difference between them. [00:00:37] The left doesn't see that. [00:00:39] The New York Times does not see that. [00:00:41] It's a moral cesspool out there. [00:00:47] Israel might be, which would not be the first time, Jews end up being the canary in the mine. [00:00:56] So what will the miners do? [00:00:58] The poison gas in the mine is leftism. [00:01:00] So will the Democratic Party leave the mine? [00:01:06] Will they fight the toxic fumes? [00:01:09] or will they die as all liberals have when they have supported the left? [00:01:15] So the waste matter will hit the fan on some issue and it appears that in this case it will be Israel. [00:01:32] The liberals are okay with all the anti-American evil coming from the left. [00:01:38] They're okay with the distortion of the human species into the belief that men give birth. [00:01:45] Well, some issue has got to give. [00:01:49] And apparently it might be Israel. [00:01:55] If you can't call Hamas evil, you're evil. [00:02:00] Are you a nice person personally? [00:02:03] Yes. [00:02:04] Could well be. [00:02:07] That happens. [00:02:11] Nice people have supported evil throughout history. [00:02:16] And not nice people have. [00:02:19] And the same on the other side. [00:02:21] Though I have no doubt that, as a general rule, conservatives are nicer than leftists. [00:02:26] If for no other reason, then they are happier. [00:02:31] Yeah, happy people make the world better, the unhappy make it worse. [00:02:36] It's one of the mottos of my happiness hour. [00:02:41] So, it's a very interesting thing, to say the least. [00:02:49] Well, except what we have here now. [00:02:53] Fox News. [00:02:54] Democrats take tougher stance against Israel as conflict escalates. [00:03:00] There's a growing schism in the Democratic Party over the U.S. relationship with Israel as some progressive lawmakers demand that President Biden take a tougher stance against the Israeli government amid an increasingly aggressive confrontation with Palestinian groups. [00:03:21] Oh, my God. [00:03:24] Well, that's why I wrote my column, which I ask you to look at on Town Hall at DennisPrager.com. [00:03:33] It comes out Tuesdays. [00:03:34] Then it moves to Daily Wire, American Greatness, and to the Jewish press, and a lot of other places. [00:03:43] But you can see it today at DennisPrager.com and Town Hall. [00:03:48] Men give birth. [00:03:50] The United States was founded in 1619, and Israel is the aggressor. [00:03:57] There you go. [00:04:00] Three things the left advocates and believes. [00:04:07] So it is. [00:04:09] Ryan in Aberdeen, South Dakota. [00:04:11] Hello. [00:04:14] Hey, thank you for taking my call, Dennis. [00:04:16] I've been a long time... [00:04:19] I'm a fan of PragerU and your work on the internet. [00:04:24] And just wanted to give a shout out to WZFG Fargo there and hearing your show for the week. [00:04:32] That's great. [00:04:33] I kind of wanted to talk about why, in my mind, the Israeli alliance with America is so important. [00:04:46] And I'm sure as a practicing religious Jew, you probably know the story of Moses and Jethro, his father-in-law, and the idea that when Moses asked Jethro how to be a leader of men, Jethro said, well, just don't try so hard, you know? [00:05:10] Whatever's local should remain local. [00:05:15] It is my belief that in the history of human affairs and government, two countries have enshrined that idea of freedom as a virtue into their founding documents, and that's Israel and America. [00:05:42] I believe that it's important, the Israeli-American alliance is important precisely because of that that those two countries have in common. [00:05:55] Yeah, yeah. [00:05:57] Well, what does America have in common with Hamas? [00:06:02] Ask the left that, compared to what America has in common with Israel. [00:06:08] 20% of Israel is not Jewish, is Arab. [00:06:13] They sit in Parliament. [00:06:15] They are, in fact, the makers of the Prime Minister. [00:06:19] They're so powerful. [00:06:20] Because it's a Parliament, so you have to get a certain number of seats or party votes in order to be a Prime Minister. === Apartheid State Debate (00:22) === [00:06:29] It's the way it works there, as it does in Europe, in the parliamentary system. [00:06:36] An Arab sat, maybe still sits, on the Israeli Supreme Court. [00:06:42] Some apartheid state, eh? [00:06:45] Well, men give birth. [00:06:47] Israel's an apartheid state.
