Thank you.
They didn't organize it.
The Aloha Freedom Coalition did.
My station made it larger than it would have been because there are a lot of listeners in Honolulu to this show, for which I am very grateful, and I am grateful to the Aloha Freedom people who, they got a thousand people there in Honolulu to rally for freedom.
That's more than you would get in L.A. I spoke at a rally last year to open up Los Angeles in front of City Hall.
A couple of hundred people, I think.
Maybe we would get more today.
It's an interesting question.
But in any event, it was a wonderful, wonderful trip.
Very gratifying for me to see how many people here at the show went to a cigar lounge.
Folks there embraced me like a long-lost friend.
There was a teacher in there.
A guy of, I don't know, from some Asian descent, and told me he's 40 years old.
He uses PragerU courses in his classroom.
Nothing like a cigar lounge.
I was told there were Hawaiian cigars, yes, but I didn't get to smoke one.
I think I might have been given one as a gift.
So it was a very quick trip, but very meaningful.
I also spoke for the Chabad of Honolulu on Friday night for their Shabbat dinner.
And that was also a tremendously meaningful experience and a very large turnout there.
There are so many people who share my values.
I can't say our, because not every one of you shares my values.
But the great majority of you, I suspect, do.
So share your and my values.
My message now, one of my key messages, I can't say my message, the message, is to get out of the closet.
To come out as a lover of freedom, as a lover of America, as a lover of truth.
To come out of the closet.
And it's...
There's no question it's easier for me to say, or for me to do, and certainly for me to say, than it is for many people to do.
I am paid to give my opinion.
That is my job.
Very few people have that.
You have another job, and if you give your opinion, if you tweet that, in your humble opinion, science says that men do not menstruate, and men do not give birth, for example, you will be vilified.
It gives you an idea of how sick a world we are in, that something that had you said, men don't give birth, had you said this two years ago, 200 years ago, 2,000 years ago, people would have said, are you out of your mind?
Why would you even raise the subject?
And today is, are you out of your mind?
Of course men give birth.
The speed with which idiocy lies.
Take over people's lives is breathtaking.
The speed is as breathtaking as anything else.
What lie will I have to pronounce tomorrow in order to keep friends?
In order to keep my job?
That's the only question.
What lie?
Will I have to lie that America is systemically racist?
What lie will I have to pronounce in order to keep my job?
There are people who actually are confronted with that question.
It's all the world of Orwell.
What lie will I have to announce?
It is not enough in the totalitarian world of the left.
It's like the Mao cultural revolution.
It's not enough what you think.
It's what you must pronounce.
You must think it and you must pronounce it.
That's the world we live in.
Title of my column today.
You're all invited to see it.
It's at my website.
It's at a townhall.com.
The title is Men Give Birth, America Was Founded in 1619, and Israel Is the Aggressor.
There you go.
There are three lies that you have to pronounce.
Israel is the aggressor.
Israel has thousands of rockets sent over it to kill as many Israelis as possible.
Hopefully in the hundreds of thousands, Israel happens to have a shield that works 99% of the time.
And Israel is the aggressor.
Who's shooting rockets over whom exactly?
Israel should get out of occupying the West Bank?
Well, Israel got out of occupying Gaza.
Guess what happened?
What do you think will happen if Israel leaves the West Bank?
Fool.
Bernie Sanders is in the category of the fool.
He was a young fool, a middle-aged fool, and an old fool.
That's what he is.
He's just one fool.
The man is bereft of wisdom.
He's so lucky he lives in America where he could make a good living and have a lot of prestige being a fool.
I don't know how many countries you can make a living being a fool.
A good living, I might add.
No, just being a fool.
Robert De Niro is a fool, but he doesn't make a living from being a fool.
He makes a living from acting.
But Bernie Sanders makes a living from being a fool.
That's a different story.
My message is, unless you lose your job, to come out of the closet.
What happens when you come out of the closet is you breathe fresh air.
What happens when you come out of the closet is not only the people who loathe you for speaking the truth come out, but people who love you.
You will meet kindred spirits.
I hope people at my rally in Honolulu met one another.
In addition to my hour of speaking and taking questions, I stood up for two other hours, one before and one after, to take pictures with people.
It has long been my policy at speeches to give people the time that they want.
I still consider it an honor and a duty to take those pictures.
I want to put them up.
You would see the people who came to the rally and who stood in line to get a photo with me.
It'll touch you.
As it did me.
So the message I have from Hawaii is...
We've got a lot of kindred spirits.
The issue is courage, as it always has been.

So Michael Brown, George Floyd, you know, all of these, Trayvon Martin, all of these instances are really, really come down to being power grabs.
They all support this idea that racism is systemic.
It isn't.
There is not systemic racism in America.
But you have the right to say, look how many Americans buy into this and believe this, even when the facts just stare them in.
Michael Brown precipitated his own death.
He attacked the policeman.
He hit him in the face with his fists.
He wrestled him in his car for the gun.
Michael Brown was 300 pound 18 year old teenager.
So finally he runs away, he runs back finally in self defense, the policeman fires his gun and shoots him. - We watched a police officer save a young girl's life.
We watched an officer literally prevent a human being from being stabbed by a raging, frankly disturbed, violent woman who was wildly trying to plunge a knife into people.
And even when people saw the video, they condemned that officer, Shelby.
They think that's where their power is, in the white racism.
And so, again, a poetic truth that he was a racist and the girl he killed was a victim.
She was a perpetrator.
She was about to commit murder, as you say.
It's absurd.

Is this the moment that we've all been waiting for?
The millions of listeners to this show, the people who watch us on Rumble, is this the moment where we have, let's put it thusly, the internal clarification of the relationship between MAGA and the Republican establishment You've been there for years.
Is this the moment?
That's a very interesting way of putting it.
And I've been thinking a lot about what's going on in a broader, larger context.
And if you think about the names, right?
You've got Liz Cheney, who's obviously the remnant of the Bush-Cheney era of the Republican Party.
Big wars, overextension.
Spending.
Spending.
Trillions of dollars that should have gone to fighting against and pushing back against the Chinese Hi,
everybody.
I'm Dennis Prager back from Hawaii.
Big speech in Honolulu.
Thank you, the organizers.
Thank you to KHNR. It was a very powerful time there, as I said.
Do you know why Gaza...
Hamas is raining rockets on Israel.
Do you know why there's no peace between the Israelis and Palestinians and other Muslim countries?
Because it exists.
There is no dispute on earth like the Arab-Israeli or Palestinian-Israeli dispute.
Can you name any other crisis in the world in which one side believes the other side should be destroyed?
Not defeated, destroyed.
No.
And yet the left, which is always wrong, is an amazing thing.
Liberals, I distinguish.
By the way, Newsweek, I have to put this up, Newsweek has actually...
Put up my column on 32 questions you should ask a friend or relative to determine whether they're a liberal or a leftist.
32 questions.
Just put in Dennis Prager Newsweek questions and you'll get it.
If you forward it from Newsweek, some of your Colleagues, friends, and relatives might sooner open it than if it comes from a conservative source.
Newsweek, to its credit, now publishes left and right.
It's improved immensely in the last couple of years.
To say that it is better than time says nothing.
Mad Magazine was better than time.
Mad Magazine is a propaganda sheet for the left.
It doesn't even make claims to be other than a weekly statement of what the left believes.
So I'll put that up as well on the link on the website.
But before that gets there, just go to Newsweek.
Dennis Prager, questions.
Liberals, leftists, any way you want to phrase it.
See, that's a good example of a non-confrontational...
I mean, it's confrontational with regard in the opening sentences, but if you want to just send the 32 questions, make it a Word document and send the 32 questions.
That will help you understand whom you are dealing with.
One of the obvious ones, do you think it is a good thing that there is an all-black dorm on many college campuses?
If they say yes, you're dealing with a leftist or a Ku Klux Klan member.
Those are the only two people who believe in all-black dormitories.
Ku Klux Klan, racists, and the left.
They're buddies on almost every race-based issue, to be honest.
So the Israel issue that the left supports Hamas is part and parcel of they're always wrong.
I don't understand how that happens to a human being.
But it's always been that way, that the good don't understand the bad, and the left is bad.
Are there nice people who are leftists?
There were nice people who were everything in history.
There were nice communists, there were nice Nazis.
Individually nice is not what I'm talking about.
The left does evil.
Liberals are not leftists, but they support the evil.
There was a...
I wish I had kept it.
I read so many articles, and I don't always keep them.
There was an article about a man who lost his daughter in the Parkland High School shooting in Florida, you will recall.
Horrific, horrific loss.
And he has been somewhat outspoken.
And then he issued a statement or wrote a piece, I don't know which, in which he attacked the AOC. Alexandria Octavio Cortez.
Ocasio, sorry.
Ocasio should have stuck with AOC. Abundance of caution.
He attacked her, said, you know, I supported you.
And now you make these anti-Israel hatred statements.
And I was thinking, it's another nice man.
Truly, I mean, I've known of him from before.
I don't know him personally.
Under naive...
Is the word liberal?
Liberals are the most naive people in society.
They're shocked when the left turns out to be despicable.
Just shocked.
How could you do this to me, AOC? I was with you in anti-Trump.
Turns out a lot of your anti-Trump heroes aren't so heroic, are villains.
A few anti-Trump people are really wonderful.
Bret Stephens, in my opinion, made a mistake in his anti-Trumpism, but he never would have gotten a New York Times column, and now he's writing stuff about the left that only he writes in the New York Times, and wrote one very important article on Israel.
To see the rockets rain down on Israel, to know that the people doing it don't believe Israel has a right to exist and to side with them?
There's got to be something wrong with the way you think.
What has made you oblivious to reality?
Who wants to destroy whom?
Oh, Israel, you know, it has this ring of security around Gaza. - Yeah.
Yes, of course it does.
Because you know what would be given to Gaza, to Hamas, if Israel didn't intercept shipments?
Everything that could be done to destroy human beings in Israel.
Remember, Israel occupied Gaza.
And left.
And the day they left, the Gazans destroyed everything that Israel had built up.
Everything.
Greenhouses, whatever.
1-8 Prager 776. I don't think most Americans know what inflation does to people.
Do you?
I do and live through that.
Remember, as you did, I lived through those Jimmy Carter years when inflation was double-digit and he came up with what he called the misery index to try to hit Jerry Ford back in the 70s.
On that combination of inflation and unemployment and the misery index became epic under Jimmy Carter and inflation just eats away.
You're working hard every day and it's like you're going on a treadmill that you're falling off of.
That's what inflation really is like.
You keep running harder but the treadmill keeps going even faster and you keep falling off the back of it.
Now, do you think there's any chance that President Biden will reassess the request for $4 trillion more?
That's like throwing fuel on a barbecue.
It's crazy.
I don't think he'll reassess it, but he may be forced to not get what he wants if folks like Joe Manchin and others say to him, this is ridiculous.
And when you look at the amount of money that the Fed is putting into this economy, and you add two at that level of spending.
There's no question in my mind we're going to see inflation, and that is crippling, especially to young people who are trying to buy a new home, who are trying to move ahead in life, buy a car, buy a home, get some things in their lives that help them move up the ladder.
Inflation will be crippling.
You're right, most people don't know about it, because since Ronald Reagan, we've had it relatively under control.
But that doesn't mean it's a forever thing, and Joe Biden is driving us to that.

I was telling you about the Parkman father, Fred Guttenberg.
This is from Newsweek.
Oh, there you go.
Good old Newsweek.
Parkland father Fred Guttenberg rips AOC for comments on Israel.
I have defended you.
Shame on you.
He defended her.
For me, who has studied the left all of my life, I feel that I am in Groundhog Day.
This is exactly what happens every time.
Liberals support the left, and then the left spits on them.
Much worse than spits on them, ruins them, destroys them.
Liberals are as much the enemy of the left as conservatives.
But these kind, sweet liberals, many of whom are, some aren't, but some conservatives aren't.
They are useful idiots of the left.
It certainly is one of the...
One of the great moments from one of the greatest movies ever made.
Fred Guttenberg, the father of a Parkland, Florida, school shooting victim, is firing back at Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her comments on the Israel-Palestinian conflict and accused her of making remarks that approach anti-Semitism.
I have defended you often from Republican attacks.
Shame on you.
Actually, Mr. Guttenberg, I have great respect for you, not to mention sympathy, but shame on you.
Here's what he should have said.
Shame on you and shame on me.
Then I would know that there is an inkling of hope for liberals to understand that the left is their enemy.
Name me a liberal value that the left shares.
Take you a long time.
I have defended you often from Republican attacks.
However, shame on you, Gutenberg tweeted on Saturday.
You are wrong in either showing a lack of understanding or something more intentional veering on anti-Semitism.
Gutenberg, who lost his daughter, Jamie, during the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, was responding to an earlier tweet from Ocasio-Cortez.
In which the congresswoman wrote, Apartheid states aren't democracies.
Huh?
Apartheid states?
Really?
What rights do Arabs in Israel not have?
We have a video up at PragerU by a member of the South African parliament, a black, who went to Israel to see if it was an apartheid state.
It's a pretty powerful five minutes.
You should send it around.
But if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saw this, she would dismiss him.
What does a black South African know about apartheid that I, a left-wing New Yorker, don't know?
Gutenberg also retweeted a screenshot from the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish human rights organization that says Israel does not fall under the International Criminal Court's definition of apartheid.
And then it gives the definition and so on.
Okay.
The United States, she wrote AOC, must acknowledge its role in the injustice and human rights violations of Palestinians.
What's our role?
This is not about both sides.
This is about an imbalance of power.
So she would like the Palestinians to be as powerful as Israel.
What will they do with that power?
Remember the question I have asked for decades.
If Israel laid down its arms, what would happen?
If the Palestinians laid down their arms, what would happen?
In the first case, Israel would be destroyed.
In the second, there would be peace.
Right?
Who started shooting the rockets?
Why is that not germane to...

It's an Israel-hating website.
AOC and Cori Bush have helped remove taboo on calling Israel an apartheid state.
Well, Jimmy Carter preceded them.
Another shining light.
In the moral sphere.

Hi everybody You're listening to The Dennis Prager Show.
It's a fascinating rift in the Democratic Party that's developing over Israel.
Liberals always supported Israel.
And now they're confronting the viciousness and the moral decay of the left.
I mean, if you can't distinguish right and wrong between the Hamas and Israel, you are a sick human being.
Truly sick.
You're sick in your soul.
Hamas is evil.
Is that not obvious?
Okay, the word Palestinian is irrelevant here.
Just like the word German was irrelevant in World War II, what was relevant was the word Nazi.
Okay?
Nazis were evil.
Hamas is evil.
I see very little difference between them.
The left doesn't see that.
The New York Times does not see that.
It's a moral cesspool out there.
Israel might be, which would not be the first time, Jews end up being the canary in the mine.
So what will the miners do?
The poison gas in the mine is leftism.
So will the Democratic Party leave the mine?
Will they fight the toxic fumes?
or will they die as all liberals have when they have supported the left?
So the waste matter will hit the fan on some issue, and it appears that in this case it will be Israel.
The liberals are okay with all the anti-American evil coming from the left.
They're okay with the distortion of the human species into the belief that men give birth.
Some issue has got to give.
And apparently it might be Israel.
If you can't call Hamas evil, you're evil.
Are you a nice person personally?
Yes, could well be.
That happens.
Nice people have supported evil throughout history.
And not nice people have.
And the same on the other side.
Though I have no doubt that as a general rule, conservatives are nicer than leftists.
If for no other reason, then they are happier.
Yeah, happy people make the world better, the unhappy make it worse.
It's one of the mottos of my happiness hour.
So, it's a very interesting thing, to say the least.
Well, except what do we have here now?
Fox News.
Democrats take tougher stance against Israel as conflict escalates.
There's a growing schism in the Democratic Party over the U.S. relationship with Israel as some progressive lawmakers demand that President Biden take a tougher stance against the Israeli government amid an increasingly aggressive confrontation with Palestinian groups.
Oh, my God.
Well, that's why I wrote my column, which I ask you to look at on Town Hall at DennisPrager.com.
It comes out Tuesdays, then it moves to Daily Wire, American Greatness, and to the Jewish Press, and a lot of other places.
But you can see it today at DennisPrager.com and Town Hall.

There you go.
Three things the left advocates and believes.
So it is.
Ryan in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Hello.
Hey, thank you for taking my call, Dennis.
I've been a long-time fan of PragerU and your work on the Internet, and just wanted to give a shout-out to WZFG Fargo there and hearing your show for the week.
That's great.
I kind of wanted to talk about why, in my mind, Israeli alliance with America is so important.
And I'm sure as a practicing religious Jew, you probably know the story of Moses and Jethro, his father-in-law, and the idea that when Moses asked Jethro how to be a leader of men, Jethro said, well...
Just don't try so hard, you know?
Whatever's local should remain local.
And it is my belief that in the history of human affairs and government, two countries have enshrined that idea of freedom as a virtue into their founding documents.
Israel and America.
And I believe that it's important, the Israeli-American alliance is important precisely because of that that those two countries have in common.
Yep, yep.
Well, what does America have in common with Hamas?
Ask the left that.
Compared to what America has in common with Israel.
20% of Israel is not Jewish, is Arab.
They sit in Parliament.
They are, in fact, the makers of the Prime Minister.
They're so powerful.
Because it's a Parliament, so you have to get a certain number of seats or party votes in order to be a Prime Minister.
It's the way it works there.
As it does in Europe, in the parliamentary system.
An Arab sat, maybe still sits, on the Israeli Supreme Court.
Some apartheid state, eh?
Well, men give birth.
Israel's an apartheid state.
1-8 Prager 776. And I'm afraid that we have become so in love with this idea of kind of horse jockeying.
I kind of prefer that phrase quite honestly better than competition.
So I think that there's some, again, we're getting into semantics here.
But I guess what I'm trying to say is, if your whole life is just trying to outdo another person, that's actually not what's good for society.
Ayn Rand had a wonderful quote about this, and I get, Beat up all the time by Christians for quoting Ayn Rand.
I just don't think you understand Ayn Rand.
Ayn Rand was an outspoken atheist, but by the end of her life, there's a great piece written by Steve Mariotti who claims that Ayn Rand accepted that there was a God.
In fact, can you find that piece, Steve Mariotti, Ayn Rand's Hidden Religion?
It's very good.
It's totally debated by Ayn Rand atheists.
But Ayn Rand had a phenomenal quote that says, I will not make you live for another person.
Do not make me live for you.
And Ayn Rand had a very provocative statement in her magnum opus, Atlas Shrugged, which I think is a terrific book.
And again, I don't look for her for religious purpose.
I'm a Bible-believing evangelical Christian.
But I think that she had a phenomenal way of capturing the threat of totalitarianism and the need for individuals to stand with courage.
The preference on reason and logic.
Not as the only human value in my worldview.
And it's a very significant piece of literature, and I encourage everyone to check it out.
It's in a lot of different ways.
We need more John Gultz and Hank Reardins.
And that little snapshot of Atlas Shrugged does a phenomenal job of that.
But Ayn Rand had another quote, and I'm going to find it in a second, where Ayn argued that the most immoral thing you can do is to say that you're living just to beat others.

I've been in Israel quite a bit, and I was right next to the Gaza Strip, and I was in the bomb shelters.
They were showing me.
Unfortunately, there were no missiles when I was down there.
But the.

Hi, everybody. everybody.
Headline in the Hill.
White House Environmental Justice Advisors.
It's another Orwellian term.
Environmental justice.
What does that mean?
Is that social justice of the environment?
Remember, whenever a word like justice gets an adjective, it has nothing to do with justice.
There's justice, folks.
There's no such thing as social justice, as distinct from justice.
But it is distinct, because social justice is, if a poor man and a rich man are in the courtroom, you defer to the poor man.
That's social justice.
Justice is, you do what is right.
Whether the poor man is right, or the rich man is right, you do what is right.
There's no term for social justice in the Bible.
For all those left-wing Jews and Christians who cite the Bible for their left-wing positions, where is the word social justice as opposed to justice?
One of the most common words in the Hebrew Bible is tzedek, which is justice.
What's social justice?
White House environmental justice advisors express opposition to nuclear...
And carbon capture products.
I told you this is how you measure whether an environmentalist is honest or wants to destroy the West with things like the Green New Deal.
Whether they just want, essentially, to redo the economy and basically destroy us economically, which leads to other destruction.
And that is, do they support nuclear power?
You really believe that we're in for existential death?
Then support nuclear power.
Non-carbon, non-polluting, clean, efficient.
That's what would work.
I would join you.
Nuclear power is the answer.
But they're against it, because it doesn't undo the economy the way they want it to be undone.
The issue is the remaking of America.
The issue is minimally environmental.
Anyone who believes that global warming is caused almost entirely by carbon emission and that that will lead to the death of the biosphere, which is what they believe, and does not support nuclear power, is a phony.
They have another agenda.
And now the Biden Commission, I love this, the Advisory Commission on Environmental Justice came out against it.
We'll continue.

Hi, Larry.
I'm calling about the subject of lawful orders a police officer gives you.
I know that you don't have to get out of your car and you don't have to roll down your window because I've done it.
There is a website called defenseadvocates.com, headline, Know Your Rights.
Can the police make you get out of your car?
"Most encounters with police occur after a traffic stop, and while most traffic stops are routine, the cops are trained to view traffic stops as a potentially dangerous or deadly situation.
That view sometimes can result in terrible outcomes, which is why it is imperative that everyone knows their rights." So far, so good.
A situation that arises more often than not is a police officer asking someone to get out of his or her car following a routine traffic stop.
While common sense says that being asked by the police to get out of your car after being stopped for something as trivial as an expired registration sticker or not using a turn signal is unreasonable and an invasion of someone's rights, the United States Supreme Court has held otherwise.
In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court held that the police can make you get out of your car after a valid traffic stop.
This ruling applies to the driver and all the passengers in the car.
Because of this ruling in Pennsylvania versus Mims, a person must exit their car if ordered to do so by the police." Trending now on The Eric Metaxas Show.
Bobby Kennedy was not on the same page as his brother Jack.
He just decided to, in a sense, go rogue.
I don't get the impression that JFK was behind what he was doing.
JFK had promised effectively, and Joseph had promised to be hands-off on the mob, and that's how they got him elected through Chicago.
Well, JFK didn't have anything to say about it, because by that time, J. Edgar Hoover had told President Kennedy that his mistress, Judith Exner, was also the mistress of Sam Gianconi.
That was all kept very quiet, obviously, and the press wouldn't have reported it anyway, even if they knew it.
But JFK basically just stepped back.
He didn't have much to do.
He wasn't going to tell Bobby to knock it off.
He never did that, as far as we can tell.
But he just basically stayed out of it.
But Bobby Kennedy was able to expose the mafia, particularly Jimmy Hoffa, and the union connection.
And after that, the federal government was much more aggressive, because J. Edgar Hoover was also compromised by organized crime.
They had stuff on him.
Martin Newgard and I were not able to find out exactly what it was, but everybody knew that Hoover liked the ponies.
He was a gambler, and everybody knew he was gay.
Yeah, he was a cross-dresser.
They had photos.
Folks, I'm talking to Bill O'Reilly, the new book, 10th in the series.

Emperor Biden says the rule is simple.
You get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.
The choice is yours.
We finally get a choice.
Get vaccinated.
Is this not the weirdest week you have ever experienced?
Now the CDC director has decided on Thursday, if you're vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors.
I like this version of Rochelle Walensky a heck of a lot more than I liked.
Her crying and saying she feels an impending doom is coming.
Here was yesterday, the big announcement.
Everybody's phone was blowing up.
Everybody was like, hallelujah!
They have decided that the science says no more masks.
Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing.
If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic.
We have all longed for this moment when we can get back to some sense of normalcy.
Based on the continuing downward trajectory of cases, the scientific data on the performance of our vaccines, and our understanding of how the virus spreads, that moment has come for those who are fully vaccinated.
Who knew it would be Thursday, May the 13th, 2021, in the year of our Lord?
That's when the science kicked in.

My question is about big corporations.
Similar to our government, should we have some sort of check and balance for big corporations to keep them from becoming tyrannical?
As well as what would those checks and balances be while still maintaining a free market capitalistic economy?
Thanks for your insight, Amanda.
Well, what we're dealing with right now in our country is rather unprecedented.
Because the vast majority of the pressure that we are seeing from these companies are technology-based.
And their model is not about building railroads.
It's not about producing anything you could touch.
Instead, it's about figuring out better ways to sell you.
You see, the technology companies in our country, it's a completely different profit model than almost anything we've ever seen.

Hey, everybody.
You're listening to The Dennis Prager Show. - Cool.
And I welcome you.
I was in Hawaii, speaking for KHNR. Well, no.
I'm making a mistake when I say that.
KHNR is my terrific station in Honolulu.
And many people knew of me thanks to KHNR. Others did because of PragerU, but it was the...
Aloha Freedom Coalition.
I've got to get that name correct.
But these are phenomenal people.
These are the folks that, in a left-wing state, step out and talk about freedom.
I posed for two hours with pictures.
I mentioned this last hour.
And do you know what one commonality...
There were a few commonalities.
One is the, I have to admit...
I was touched by all the affection I got.
Did not know I had a presence in Hawaii, as I do, and as PragerU does, and the station does, and it's heartening.
When people of every background, every ethnicity, race, religion, just come and hug you, and what is Really touching is how happy they are.
It is a phenomenon.
You go to a left-wing rally, the Women's March, the other...
How many people are happy?
There's such a minority conservatives in Hawaii, and they have such fools as their officials, like the senators and the governor.
And yet they radiate the joie de vivre.
I am convinced that part of what the left loathes about us is that we are a happier crowd.
We have really one demand.
Isn't it amazing?
Conservatives have essentially one demand.
Leave us alone.
But the left never leaves people alone.
The monstrous size of government is the antithesis, the literal 180 degree opposite of what the founders wanted, limited government.
Reading an article on the expansion into taking care of children from the earliest age, you really want the state to do that?
Which in any event involves...
The robbing children of innocence.
The left specializes in that.
And the indoctrination of children against the society in which they live.
As I have often noted, all this depression among young people, how could it not be?
Your past stinks, your present stinks, and your future stinks.
Right?
You're existentially threatened by global warming.
You come from a systemically racist society built on slavery and which continues to persecute people of color.
Your civilization is rotten.
It is based on white supremacy.
Shakespeare wasn't great.
He celebrated because he was a white European male.
That's what the University of Pennsylvania claimed when they took down his poster.
At the English department at the University of Pennsylvania.
He's not great.
Celebrated for being a white European male.
There is no greatness on the left.
It comes from somewhere in the human, and I don't know where it is.
I admit it.
I am dumbfounded.
What animates people to take down...
People who teach English at an Ivy League university, what animates them to take down the poster of William Shakespeare because he was a white European male?
What is in them?
Do they claim that the gay, non-white female poet that they put up instead Is a better writer of English than Shakespeare?
Is as good a writer of English as Shakespeare?
Is that what they're claiming?
No.
So then the English Department of the University of Pennsylvania has announced it does not believe in excellence.
The death of excellence, the death of beauty, the death of profundity, the death of wisdom.
What is it in humans that wants to do that?
I don't know.
Don't you want to pass on to the next generation?
That's the whole point of education, is to pass on to the next generation the greatest ideas, the greatest music, the greatest writings, the greatest poetry, the greatest plays, the greatest novels that were ever written.
That's our gift to the next generation.
The next generation at the University of Pennsylvania is being robbed of greatness.
Here, you mediocrities, take mediocrities.
Because we don't choose by excellence or beauty or profundity.
We choose by race and gender.
Why?
Maybe there is something in the human that rebels against excellence.
Maybe they're just bored out of their minds and need a cause.
That's the closest to what I believe.
I believe that leftists are bored out of their minds.
Professors look at their syllabus and they think, you know what, what am I going to do, teach Shakespeare again?
Did that, been there.
Let me make a little revolution.
That'll give my empty life some meaning.
That's what I really believe it's about.
The pursuit of meaning in an otherwise meaningless life.
Secular intellectuals are generally soulless.
They have to fill that emptiness with something.
So they put up a lesbian poet instead of a heterosexual male for the poster in the Department of English at the University of Pennsylvania.
Get my drift?
Talked about Israel last hour.
You think Hamas is anything but evil?

Many universities now have all-black dormitories and some have all-black graduation exercises.
Do you support these developments?
The University of California has declared this statement racist.
There is only one race, the human race.
Do you agree with the University of California or do you agree with the statement?
Three.
Is the goal of being colorblind, doing one's best to ignore a person's color, and concentrating only on the person's character and personality a noble goal or a racist one?
Four, do you believe the color of a person's skin tells you anything of importance about that person?
Five, do you agree that all white Americans are racist?
Six, if your answer is yes.
Would you tell the millions of blacks in Africa and the Caribbean who wish to emigrate to America that they would be making a poor decision?
If not, why not?
Seven, is it possible for a black person to be a racist?
Eight, is it racist to claim that Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart composed the greatest music ever composed?
Nine, is the national anthem racist?
Ten, if your answer is yes, what would you like to put in its place?
And eleven, the English Department of the University of Pennsylvania removed its painting of William Shakespeare because he was a white European male.
Do you agree with that decision?

She wants every country all over the world to have at least a 15% tax.

The U.S. to go on record that Israel is committing war crimes.
That we have a pro-Hamas member of the U.S. Congress is a symbol of decline in the United States.
The issue is not Palestinians.
The issue is Hamas.
The issue is Iran.
The issue is Islamic Jihad.
The issue is Hezbollah.
The issue is Fatah.

It was Nazis.
You can't call Hamas evil.
Then shut up.
I mean, there's nothing to be learned from you.
Their own people are tortured to death if they oppose Hamas.
It goes generally unreported in the mainstream press.
Here's another amazing thing in this Daily Mail article.
In a gaggle with reporters on Air Force One, Jen Psaki slammed Donald Trump's handling of the situation in the Middle East and called his Abraham Accords.
For which Trump and Jared Kushner were nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, quote, dead on arrival.
We are not following the same tactics of the prior administration, the White House press secretary said when asked repeatedly about the administration's role in the conflict.
What?
Getting Arab country after Arab country to make peace with Israel?
That's dead on arrival?
Will that happen under the Biden administration?
The Abraham Accords were a spectacular success.
there's an Israeli embassy in Dubai Hamas and most Palestinians want to destroy Israel That's it.
That's what they want.
Israel, oddly enough, does not want to be destroyed.
So here's a question, and it's really an open question.
Perhaps some of you differ with me and have an answer.
What should Israel do?
Thousands of thousands upon thousands of rockets are sent over civilian areas to slaughter as many Israelis as possible.
What should Israel do?
So some people say, well, the root of the problem is the occupation.
Okay.
Israel did not occupy.
It does not occupy.
It did occupy Gaza.
It left.
Look at what it got.
Every few years, vast numbers of missiles and a war.
And a totalitarian state, no less.
What happens if Israel pulls out of the West Bank?
What do you think we'll get?
Palestinian Jeffersons?
Lincolns?
Washingtons?
Live in a make-believe world.
Make-believe world, those of you who think that way.
Again, as I asked earlier, I don't know what animates people in this direction.
Why a decent person would not call Hamas evil?
I'm not fully clear as to why that would happen.
Yep, that's right.
Alright, let's see what some of you have to say here.
Sean in Vancouver, Washington.
Hello.
Hello.
Hi.
Yes, as I was telling your wonderful screener, I think the left is going to have to condemn Martin Luther King for stating that he wants people to be judged by their character instead of the color of their skin.
Well, let me tell you something.
If you notice, he is almost never cited.
Ibram X. Kendi, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and the white authors of books like White Fragility, they are the ones that are cited.
Martin Luther King is irrelevant.
To BLM. Irrelevant.
You are entirely right.
The very notion of judging people not by their color is the antithesis of everything the left believes.
Color is all.
Character is a conservative, made-up term to cover up for white supremacy.
Okay?
That's where we're at.
That's correct, my friends.

I believe that Shakespeare has to come down because the left has no faith in their own ideas and their civil beliefs.
I make it akin to Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.
Tonya Harding couldn't beat Nancy Kerrigan, so she had to kneecap her.
She had to cripple Nancy Kerrigan.
So Tonya Harding could be the winning skater, so she believed.
And the left's ideas, I think, and the way they go about it is they can't allow competition.
They can't allow access to differing opinions because it would show their ideas to be so silly and unusable.
That's entirely correct.

So we went actually to the flight logs, private flights, into California around the time of Marilyn Monroe's death.
And we could not find any evidence that either Kennedy brother was there.

Okay.
So that's a good question.
Because the mob hated the Kennedys once Bobby started to knock them down.
And they wanted to assassinate both Kennedy brothers.

Oh You should be able to share ideas without fear of being fired from your job or shouted down.
You are not to be hurt.
This is one of the few things we have no precedent for in the United States.
You have the right to remain silent.
Judge Thomas, you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth to help you God.
I do.
I was under a constant attack.
You're not really black because you're not doing what we expect black people to do.
We know exactly what's going on here.
This is the wrong black guy.
He has to be destroyed.
So you'd still like to serve on the Supreme Court?
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.
I'd rather die than withdraw from the process.
Though the CBC has apparently taken it down, we do have the audio.
This is CBC host Talia Schlanger interviewing Ben Philippe, a professor of English, black professor, at Barnard College.
immediate you would be on and you took it to a place that I just found really shocking and disturbing to read Would you say a little bit about that?
Sure.
Actually, fun fact, that section used to be so much longer.
So thank you to my editor for condensing it.
I'm a big Dungeons and Dragons person, so I went into advanced world building of what that race war could look like.
And they were just like, no, maybe just like half a page.
It was ultimately just trying to take...
The state of the world to its logical conclusion?
If we all have to sort of exist in this common land together, and we can't get along, and we can't heal, and we can't try to understand each other, if it's always going to be us versus them, define the us, define the them, however you want, then, you know, I guess I was wrestling with the question that isn't the end result of that just all-out warfare?
Like, Game of Thrones-style warfare?
And what does that look like?
And I lived in that sort of straight thought for a few pages.
And it was disturbing to write, too, because I'm not a violent person.
I love all my white friends.
Yeah, for people who haven't read the book, you write about, you say...
When this race war hits its crescendo, I'll gather you all into a beautifully decorated room under the pretense of unity.
I'll give a speech to civility and all the good times we've shared.
I'll smile as we raise our glasses to your good white health while the detonator blinks under the table, knowing the exits are locked and the air vents filled with gas.
I mean, that's...
I'm a Jewish person and grandparents survived the Holocaust.
I can't tell you how it felt to read that sentiment.
And I wanted to say to you that I'm so sorry that your experience of the world made you feel that way and made you feel compelled to write that.
How do you reflect on...
There you go.
Whenever I think the left can sink further morally and intellectually, I'm wrong.
They sink further.
It's the silence you hear is because there is really little that I could say to accurately describe her sickness in that reaction and what the left has perverted people.
Her grandparents were Jews in the Holocaust.
She reads a segment from this a-hole black professor of English at Barnard, a despicable human being, who writes that he would like to gas all whites.
And her reaction is, I'm so sorry you feel that way.
Because in this wimp, Talia Schlanger's world, you don't confront anybody.
But whites.
A black can say anything because the left has contempt for blacks.
Get it?
This is what, at the heart of what you heard, is left-wing contempt for blacks.
We don't judge you blacks the way we judge whites.
If a white wrote something like that, she would never say, I'm so sorry that life's pains have brought you to this point.
The most racism in this country, there is no close second, emanates from the left.
Blacks are used and blacks are held in contempt by every leftist.
Not liberals.
Liberals just vote left and then get crushed.
As I read to you last hour, the poor soul who lost his daughter, It's in the shooting at the Parkland High School in Florida.
Tweeted out how disappointed he is in AOC. I backed you.
I supported you against the Republicans.
And now you call Israel an apartheid state.
Oh, wow.
Fred Gutenberg, a sweet, truly sweet man.
I've seen him on TV. But like every liberal, except Alan Dershowitz and a few others, so naive about the left.
And there's no excuse for adult naivete.
None.
It means you are too weak to confront yourself and your values and evil.
That's all it means.
When an adult is naive, they have chosen to be naive.
Life consists of choices.
If a 12-year-old is naive, I understand.
I don't even want 12-year-olds naive, but I understand.
A 50-year-old?
It's inexcusable.
Talia Schlanger.
She'll be remembered for that.
Oh, I'm so sorry you feel that way.
You want to gas all whites?
What did you say?
And invoking that her grandparents, for all we know, were gassed there.
We don't know.
I commented on the rot that has seeped the leftist rot.
Grandparents survived.
Okay, thank God.
The rot that the left has caused in Jewish life.
Why don't we have that great rabbi on Rosh Hashanah who, instead of chanting from the prophets, chanted from Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Rosh Hashanah, one of the two high holy days in the Jewish calendar, and you will see what the left has done to Judaism, as it has done to Christianity, as it has done to the Pope.
It's not unique to the Jews, but it is worth noting.
This was a highlight of last year.

Ayn Rand had a wonderful quote about this, and I get beat up all the time by Christians for quoting Ayn Rand.
And Ayn Rand had a very provocative statement and her...
Her magnum opus, Atlas Shrugged, which I think is a terrific book.
So in a lot of different ways, we need more John Goltz and Hank Reardens.
And that little snapshot of Atlas Shrugged does a phenomenal job of that.
that.
But Ayn Rand had another quote, and I'm going to find it in a second, where Ayn argued that the most immoral thing you can do is to say that you're living just to beat others.

We've got millions of jobs empty because people are picking up 600 bucks extra to stay at home on top of their unemployment.
So is that not a countervailing piece of evidence to the fact that Americans believe in capitalism if they're sitting at home just waiting for that government handout?
Because they are capitalists, right?
They're not stupid.
I mean, it's pretty hard to compete when Uncle Joe is offering $600 not to get off your couch.
It's pretty hard to say, okay, now I'm going to go wash dishes.
$300 from federal, often $300 from state.
So you get to a number that in many cases is like $600, which is better than washing dishes.
But you see a lot of people in this environment, I believe, are still doing things in the gig economy, right, for cash under the table.
This troubles me.

Yes, sir.
Thank you for taking my call.
I was just mentioning that I felt, you know, we're really living in surreal times as a parent in America right now.
Just from everything from the family car purchase to the universities our children might attend, it's just become overwhelming and very worrisome.
That's correct.
I've said for decades, it is unbelievably hard.
For the first time in American history, for the last generation, and certainly today even more so, a parent is at war with American society.
My heart goes out to parents.
You either have to fight or withdraw your child.
From the mainstream society, which has been ruined by the left.
Virtually every school in the country is damaging children.
Teachers unions care about money and leftism much more than they care about children.
The rot that has gone into the teaching profession is indescribably deep.
I can't tell you how...
Bad, that sounds to me, because the word teach is holy to me.
But they have desecrated the term teach as they have desecrated everything else.
My heart does go out to parents with young kids.
It should not have to be that way.
You should trust your center kid to the local school.
They'll be given goodness, not anger.

By lefty journalists.
And you know she was shaking.
And she said, wait a minute.
That's scenario A. Scenario B is Biden's looking around saying, what are we going to do to get people vaccinated?
We don't have enough people vaccinated.
And his team is saying, well, Mr. Nine Masks, as you're stumbling around outside the East Lawn of the White House or the South Lawn or whatever it is.
How about we tell people if they get vaccinated, they don't have to wear a mask?
That'll be an incentive.
It's one of two things.
Let me break it to you.
It ain't the science.
It's not the science.
No more masks inside if you're fully vaccinated, they're telling us.
All right.
Number one, how do you know who's vaccinated and who's not?
How are we going to go?
How do you figure that out?
Because that's what's going to be the next pivot.
Right?
You think they're gonna let us use the honor system?
Maybe they will, because Biden has also said he's not in favor of mandatory vaccine passports federally.
So how is that gonna work?
And number two, riddle me this, Batman, how are the blue state governors reacting to the CDC guidance?

Bobby Kennedy was not on the same page as his brother Jack.
He just decided to, in a sense, go rogue.
I don't get the impression that JFK was behind what he was doing.
JFK had promised effectively, and Joseph had promised, to be hands-off on the mob.
And that's how they got him elected through Chicago.
Well, JFK didn't have anything to say about it, because by that time, J. Edgar Hoover had told President Kennedy that his mistress, Judith Exner, was also the mistress of Sam Giancana.
Right.

Emperor Biden says the rule is simple to get vaccinated or wear a mask.
Until you do, the choice is yours.
Her crying and saying she feels that impending doom is coming.
I knew it would be Thursday, May the 13th, 2021, in the year of our Lord.
That's when the science kicked in.

My question is about big corporations.
Similar to our government, should we have some sort of check and balance for big corporations to keep them from becoming tyrannical?
As well as what would those checks and balances be while still maintaining a free market capitalistic economy.
Thanks for your insight, Amanda.
Well, what we're dealing with right now in our country is rather unprecedented.
Because the vast majority of the pressure that we are seeing from these companies are technology-based.
And their model is not It's not about building railroads.

Instead, it's about figuring out better ways to sell you.

Hello everybody, it's the Ultimate Issues Hour with The third hour every Tuesday is a discussion of the greatest issues of life.
If this last year has not made it clear that you have to be clear about the great issues, the ultimate issues of life, nothing will.
The thing is about your outlook on life.
All the tension in America is based on that.
Do you see people in terms of race, in terms of character?
These are all ultimate issues.
Everything comes down to that.
And so we established this hour, I don't know how many years ago, about 12 years ago, more.
And today's topic is about one of my favorite subjects, perhaps my favorite religion.
I hope you realize the decay that secular society inevitably ends up as.
It just does.
Not every secular person has rotten values and not every religious person has great values.
But we're talking about society, not every individual.
If you talk about every individual, you can say nothing.
You can't generalize at all, and then you have no wisdom.
Wisdom rests on generalizations, on correct generalizations, however.
All whites are racist is a generalization, but it's a lie.
So, that's what matters.
Correct generalization.
Anyway, given the staggering significance of religion, or as I have put it for years in speeches around the world, when Christianity died in Europe, we got fascism, communism, and Nazism.
When it dies in America, what will we get?
And I'm a Jew asking this.
Well, we got last year almost a year of riots, of destruction, of mayhem.
That's one of the things we got.
What you really get is the left.
But that's not my subject.
My subject is religion, but it's not that.
My subject is you today.
What stops you, what prevents you from being religious?
Notice I didn't say spiritual, a word for which I have no use.
I don't even understand the word.
It means nothing to me.
When I hear someone say it, and very nice people say this, it's not an attack on people saying it.
By the way, the phone number is 1-8 Prager-776.
What prevents you from being religious?
Or for that matter, prevents your son or daughter?
If you have an answer to that one.
It's very important for me to confront that question.
Thank you.
Because I would like you to be religious.
Spiritual, to me, means I'm not religious, but I have some sense, I have a strong sense of the spiritual.
But what does that mean?
I'm not being cute.
I don't even understand what that means.
You're not Christian.
You're not Jewish.
I'm talking about the Western world now.
But you're spiritual.
Anyway, I don't know what it means.
Nice people say it.
My issue is not whether you're nice.
It's whether society can survive.
So I'm not asking what prevents you from being spiritual.
I'm not even asking what prevents you from believing in God.
You can believe in God and not be religious.
Religious means active in a religion.
For the first time in American history, fewer than 50% of Americans are religious.
Or go to church or synagogue on a weekly basis.
Whatever criterion you wish to choose.
That's a significant Demarcation in American history.
So, one possible answer is, I don't believe in God.
Why would I be religious?
I actually have an answer to that.
Whether you believe in God or not, I think you should be religious.
This goes so contrary to what most people think.
Frankly, I'm more interested that you be religious than that you believe in God.
I believe in God very strongly.
But for your sake and the sake of society, I'd rather you be actively religious.
You need a religious community like you need a good diet and exercise.
Every single study I have seen, and remember my view of studies, is either they confirm the obvious or they're wrong.
Every single study has affirmed the obvious.
People with a religious community live longer and more healthfully.
I know that.
I flew from Hawaii on Saturday night.
I hate red eyes.
And I flew a red eye so that I would be back on Sunday because Sunday night was a Jewish religious holiday, Shavuot or Pentecost.
And I wanted to be with my religious community that night.
So I just made sure I would get home in time.
And I did it for selfish reasons.
Partially altruistic, because people like when I'm with them.
I grant that, but it's mostly selfish.
I need it.
I need it every Friday night.
I need it every Saturday.
And I get it.
So, my question is not what prevents you from believing in God, it's what prevents you from being religious.
So I have an answer to you if your answer is, because, well, Dennis, I can't believe in God, so why am I going to be religious?
I don't know.
It's like saying to me, I can't read music.
Why listen to Beethoven?
You don't have to read music to love Beethoven.
The benefits of great music are there.
If you don't know an F sharp from a C, it's irrelevant.
Yes, you can get more out of it if you read music, obviously.
It's a misconception.
And anyway, if you do get religious, you might well end up believing in God.
You find a church or synagogue that elevates you, and one criterion is that they don't talk about politics.
They talk about elevating.
That may very well have an effect on your belief in God.
I'm a behaviorist.
Do, you know, act happy, you'll be happier.
Act religious, you'll be a bigger believer.
Acting is everything.
I don't mean acting as in phony.
And it's not phony to be religious if you have An issue with whether God exists.
Why is that?
One can have a lot to do with the other or may not.
Another one I get is that people have bad experiences in their religion.
Okay, so I want you to know something, my friends.
Who hasn't?
Who has not had bad experiences within their religion?
Hey, I'm curious, do you have any bad experiences in your secular life?
Why does that prevent you from being secular?
Bad experiences in religious life?
Oh, my nun wrapped my knuckles.
Why would I continue in the Catholic Church?
The rabbi, I don't know, my rabbi had an affair.
Oh, okay, now I get it.
That's just, that's just silly.
I'll take your answers when we come back.
Don't you get tired of commercials screaming at you to buy gold now with inflated promises on future values?

So you don't think that there is sufficient evidence to say that the Kennedys were involved in the death of Marilyn Monroe.
You're not saying either way, I guess.
No, we say they were not.
There is no conclusive proof.
And in killing Kennedy, in my book Killing Kennedy, Dugard and I really went over all the flight records.
of the Kennedy brothers.
We could not place them in Southern California.
That's how we do our investigation.
So we went actually to the flight logs, private flights, into California around the time Marilyn Monroe's death.
And we could not find any evidence that either Kennedy brother was there.
Or had anything to do with it.
And what about the killing of Kennedy himself?
Since I didn't read your book on that, I mean, I have no idea what I think anymore, but...
Did you read Killing Kennedy?
That's what you've got to do this weekend, Eric.
Is that right?
That is the definitive book, okay?
That's what happened.
Now, a lot of people ask me in my interviews for Killing the Mob, did the mob have anything to do with...
Yeah, that's my next question.
Okay.
So that's a good question.
Because the mob hated the Kennedys once Bobby started to knock them down.
And they wanted to assassinate both Kennedy brothers.
But they knew, and when I say they, we're talking about a very few what they call godfathers who make the decisions.
They knew that if they assassinated JFK or RFK, they would get out.
And that would be the end of criminal enterprise at that level.

My question is, are we as Republicans radical in our ideals?
Or rather, does the left see us as radicals?
If they do, what can we do to convince leftists that what we want is best for legal Americans, in most cases, including them?
Well, radical actually means to the root, to the original.
If you actually go back to the original phrase of what radical means.
But what are you really saying is radical?
Are we out of the mainstream?
No. No. No.
This is the Ultimate Issues Hour, third hour every Tuesday.
What prevents you from being religious?
Not what prevents you from believing in God.
Not what prevents you from being spiritual.
What prevents you from being religious?
Religious means active in a religion.
Alright, don't give up.
I'm going to try to get you all...
I try, you know.
So, let's see here.
Got good stuff.
Kathleen Billings, Montana.
The famous Kathleen of Billings.
Hi.
Hi, Dennis.
Thank you for taking my call.
I'm a little nervous.
That makes perfect sense.
You're plucked out of the ether to go on national radio.
I don't blame you.
I want to have a conversation with such a learned man.
It's a little intimidating.
I wasn't thinking of that part.
Thank you.
So...
Yep, go ahead.
Okay, mine was more of a question.
Since religious has such a negative connotation these days, I was hoping that you could define what religious meant.
Yes, I did.
I said active, active in a religion.
As opposed to spiritual, which has...
Might have nothing to do with their religion.
But you are entirely right.
Religious is a completely negative term today.
Woke, that's positive.
But religious, they've done the...
Ultimately, the battle...
A lot of conservatives don't know this, but ultimately the battle is a religious one.
The ultimate victory of the left will be the death of Christianity in America.
And again, I say this as a practicing Jew.
So the fact that religious has a negative connotation, and this is brand new in American history.
It had the most positive connotation up through the 50s.
The most revered Americans were clergy.
There's a postage stamp of the four chaplains who gave up their lives on a ship by giving their life vests.
As the ship was sinking, they gave their life vests to soldiers that didn't have a life vest.
There's a U.S. postage stamp.
Some wonderful listener sent me a sheet of that stamp.
I have framed it and put it in my office.
Throughout American history, religious was a revered term.
The left has made it a dirty word.
Do you think that is because they have a religion of their own?
Of course.
It's a secular.
Leftism is a secular religion.
And it brooks no competition.
The only competition for leftism is not conservatism.
It is Judeo-Christian values.
Secular conservatism will lose.
Hence, they need to tear it down.
Sorry.
I'm just saying secular conservatism is doomed.
And there are a lot of great people.
But it is doomed as an ideology.
If it's not rooted in inalienable rights from God, it's doomed.
So would you say that we choose one or the other?
Right.
But a lot of people don't.
A lot of people...
I'm not a leftist, but I have no interest in religion.
But for their sake and the society's sake, I think they're making a mistake by not trying to be active in a religion.
People should search for a church or whatever religious house of prayer, the way they search for a spouse.
Thank you so much.
Either serving ourself or serving our Lord.
Thank you for having me.
Yes, you're a joy.
Half the country's moving to Montana anyway.
I hope she owns real estate in Billings.
Really, do you know how many people are moving to Montana and Idaho?
This is a gigantic migration.
Is it Coeur d'Alene, Idaho?

I wouldn't be surprised.
Larry in Tustin, California.
Dennis Prager here.
Hi.
Hi.
I left my temple a number of years ago because I didn't...
Hold on.
Wait, wait, wait.
You're a little muffled.
You're a little muffled.
Are you talking into the phone or a speaker?
I left.
Better.
Alright.
I left my temple a few years ago because everything about everything we heard was leftism.
That's right.
For instance, my rabbi, after one of the mass shootings, sent out a mass email basically saying how guns were bad and we need gun control.
I got in actually a back and forth with him about it.
Yeah.
Look, that's why I play so often this rabbi who stood up and chanted Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Rosh Hashanah instead of the prophets.
That's how politicized reform and conservative Judaism have become.
What you need to do, you need to either find a reform or conservative synagogue where the rabbi does not talk politics.
Or go to an Orthodox synagogue, even though you're not Orthodox.
Well, I wouldn't understand anything.
That's true.
It's a problem.
The traditional conservative, non-Orthodox Jew has few options.
It's a very serious problem in Jewish life.
I've literally contemplated going to some of my friends' churches.
I understand that.
But, you know, as a Jew, I just can't bring myself to it.
Yeah, but I understand why you would want to.
And you would probably be uplifted.
That's the irony.
You would be more uplifted at a traditional church service than at most reform or conservative services, even though you're a Jew.
You're right.
I know.
You're right.
I know it.
I know I'm right.
Well, I... But my grandfather would roll in his grave.
Right.
Well, your grandfather should have sent you to yeshiva.
Then you'd know Hebrew, and you wouldn't have a problem with the service.
So, he or your parents made a mistake.
Yes, indeed.
There's a crisis in religion.
All right, that was an important call, and let's go to Huntington Beach, California.
And Jack, just let me repeat, if I may, the subject is what prevents you from being religious.
Again, hello, Jack.
Yes.
Hi.
Good morning, Dennis.
Yes, well, you know, I was raised Jewish, and at one point I realized that no one can live in a fish for three days, and the whole Bible story sounded ridiculous.
Moreover, this is a capricious...
Wait a minute.
He didn't leave.
Oh yeah, that's right.
It might have been a mammal.
Might not have been a fish.
Still, I don't think anyone...
I know, I know.
Stay on with me.
I have an answer. - Trending now on the Mike Dilliger Show. - I am here to share the news far and wide
I like this version of Rochelle Walensky a heck of a lot more than I liked her crying and saying she feels an impending doom is coming.
Remember that doozy?
But this is better.

And I'm afraid that we have become so in love with this idea of kind of horse jockeying.
I kind of prefer that phrase quite honestly better than competition.
So I think that there's some...
Again, we're getting into semantics here.
But I guess what I'm trying to say is, if your whole life is just trying to outdo another person, that's actually not what's good for society.
Ayn Rand had a wonderful quote about this, and I get beat up all the time by Christians for quoting Ayn Rand.
The preference on reason and logic, not as the only human value, in my worldview.
And it's a very, it's a very significant piece of literature, and I encourage everyone to check it out.
It's in a lot of different ways.
We need more John Galtz and Hank Reardon's.

But you see a lot of people in this environment, I believe.
Okay, everybody, Dennis Prager here.
The Ultimate Issues Hour, third hour on Thursday.
Oh, Tuesday.
Oh, man.
I mixed up this week with days, because I was off yesterday.
So, the question on the table is, what prevents you from being religious?
Not spiritual, not believing in God.
What prevents you from being religious?
That means active in a religion.
So we are back to you, Jack, in Huntington Beach.
Jack can't believe what he would consider fairy tales like Jonah in the whale.
It's just something so irrational, so superstitious, whatever term you want to use, that it prevents you, Jack, from taking religion seriously.
Am I summarizing your view?
One of the things.
The other thing is that God punishes the innocent for the crimes of the guilty, like in Passover and the Great Flood.
That didn't make sense to me either.
I know.
This is going to sound awful.
I admit it.
I mean, you don't have to prepare for an insult.
I don't mean that.
But it's going to sound so self-serving.
I'm self-conscious, but I don't care.
I deal with that stuff in what I call the rational Bible.
I believe there are rational responses.
I'll give you the flood, for example.
I actually defend God's decision.
I actually admire his decision.
God created the human being to be good.
Human beings became rotten, and he decided to start all over again with one good human named Noah.
I like that.
He had to kill the puppies and the babies and the little baby animals, too.
He couldn't find a way to kill the innocent.
Well, first of all, all the animals die anyway.
Animal death, is that a moral problem to you, animal death?
Do you eat animals?
Are you a vegetarian?
Wait, please answer.
Are you a vegetarian?
The toddler deaths are what bother me.
Okay, so we're dropping the animals.
The toddler deaths bother you.
So God should have drowned all the parents and kept three-year-olds alive.
He could have figured something out.
No, no, no.
I want you to figure something out.
You live in this world.
Take the innocent and spare them.
Take the guilty and kill them if that's what he wanted to do.
No, no, no.
Apparently the world had sunk into such evil that he felt he had to start again.
Okay, look.
So let me ask you questions.
You're Jewish.
So do you think the Torah made a better world or is it relevant?
If there were no Torah, if there had been no Torah, would the world have been as good a place or a worse place or nothing?
No effect?
I would say about the same.
Okay.
Alright, look, I'm glad you called, and I honor you for doing so.
Really, I know this sounds...
whatever it sounds like.
It would be...
Inconceivable to me that if you read my rational Bible, you would still think the Torah made no difference.
The book that introduced the Ten Commandments, a moral God, a morally judging God, love your neighbor as yourself, the infinite worth of every human being being created in God's image, the list of what the Torah introduced into the world, ending child sacrifice, And for a Jew to say, I don't think it made any difference, is just sad to me.
I'm not angry at him at all.
It's just sad.
It's sad to me if a non-Jew would say it, but especially a Jew, given that it is a Jewish book for the world, just as Beethoven is a German composer for the world.
All right, Mark, Fort Worth, Texas.
Hello.
How's my audio coming across?
That's a nice way of asking whether you're being heard clearly.
You're fine.
Okay, great.
So, I am religious, and my daughters have followed their leftist mother, and they are no longer religious.
And when they think about the United States, when it was more religious, they say, well...
Yes, and what came along with it?
Women didn't work, men ruled the homes, and there was Jim Crow and segregation.
Right.
And do they know that it was religious Christians who abolished slavery, which was universal on Earth?
They've heard that from me, but that doesn't, at this point...
Make a difference or give them any pause to consider the nuance of looking at history or even...
So, what is this, two daughters?
Yes, they're 15 and 21. Oh, they're quite young.
They are.
Yeah, stay on with me.
I want to ask you a few things.
In the meantime, I want to tell you about a product that I strongly endorse.
In fact, I called them to see if they would want to advertise, and they did.
My story, which many of you know by now, is I have had for much of my life that tingling, in my case, feet.
Some people have it in their hands, and it's a lousy feeling.
It could make walking even hard.
Anyway, I... Got inserts for them about 10 years ago, which really worked.
And then I also read about Nerve Renew.
I started taking that, and a year later I threw away the inserts.
I had no idea that they were working that effectively, the Nerve Renew.
You try it out for two weeks for free, basically try it out for a year.
A year money-back guarantee.
NerveRenew.com I sat down,
had a very long discussion with a new financial advisor I've hired, friend of my wife's family, and it was a scary meeting because this guy was impressive.
He's prepared to buck the trend.
He's an outlier in terms of what he has developed over the years.
And he said to me, the whole market's changing.
Bonds are dead.
The idea that you invest in assets is the mistake.
You've got to increase income.
You've got to have things that generate income.
That's the way to go.
If you're looking at classic bond purchases or anything else, it's just not going to provide what you need over the long term.
Are you afraid that there's going to be a systemic restructuring of not just American economic underlying reality, but also global economic markets in the foreseeable future, Trish Regan?
This is what they want, Seb.
OK, this is why this moment in time is so important and it's so...
I'm sorry, the Liz Cheney stuff, listen, you're either a capitalist or a socialist in this environment because Joe Biden was not just the nice guy who was going to come into office.
He's coming armed with an entirely different system that he wants for our world order, not just the USA. I'm extremely troubled by it.
You've heard Janet Yellen talk about her global tax, how she wants every country all over the world to have at least a 15% tax.
I mean, these are people that are pretty radical in their views of the economy, that are very disdainful of the best economic system that has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system in the world, and that is capitalism.

So you don't think that there is sufficient evidence to say that the Kennedys were involved in the death of Marilyn Monroe.
You're not saying either way, I guess.
No, we say they were not.
There is no conclusive proof.
And in killing Kennedy, in my book Killing Kennedy, Dugard and I really went over all the flight records of the Kennedy brothers.
We could not place them in Southern California.
That's how we do our investigation.
Yep, yep.
Okay, so we went actually to the flight logs, private flights, into California around the time Marilyn Monroe's death.
I'm Dennis Prager.
This is the Ultimate Issues Hour, third hour Tuesdays.
I'm posing a question to you.
What prevents you from being religious?
It means active in a religion.
And I expanded it at the beginning to what prevents, let's say, your children.
The latter is the subject from Mark in Fort Worth.
Now, you mentioned, so you have 21 and 15-year-old daughters, and your wife, you said, is left-wing, which is probably scuffing of religion.
Is that fair?
Well, she divorced me a couple years ago, but she is in seminary with the Episcopal Church, so she is religious.
In that sense, but they are not quite...
Right, okay, so she's a left-wing Christian.
Okay, we've commented on that.
So how does your wife then feel about your daughter's rejection of religion?
She thinks it's a phase, and whatever they decide is their truth.
By the way, out of curiosity, given that Newsweek has just put up my 32 questions to ask people to find out if they're liberal or left, would your ex-wife be supportive of an all-black dorm on a college campus?
I believe she would.
Would your daughters?
I believe they would as well, yes.
How often are they in your life?
By text, we're in different states right now because of life's exigencies.
And by text, two or three times a week.
By telephone, once a week.
By personal visit, three times a year.
And that's painful to me.
I'm sure it is.
What state were you living in when you divorced?
Texas.
So she left with the girls?
Yes.
Why did the court allow that?
We decided it.
I was about to start nursing school and without much income and she found a job in another state because she had lost her job here and said basically...
If you let me take the girls, I'll waive child support for two years while you're in school, and then when you finish school, you can move out to where they will be.
So that was the...
Is that still your plan?
It is, but a lot of things went sideways along the way, including a back injury.
So I'm still here.
And just finishing school later on this year.
Well, thank you for calling.
My heart goes out to you.
The number of religious parents with their religious kids is very large.
And look, when I see this utterly lamentable crisis of nuns, N-O-N-E-S, number of young Americans who have zero...
Religious affiliation, the largest number in American history.
In part, religious people are responsible.
I don't blame them, but they are responsible, in part.
Because they didn't know how to make the case for religion.
That's what I've been doing my whole life.
That's why the Rational Bible is my life's project.
Greatest work.
Needs to be explained.
Rationally.
All right, Lincoln, California.
Jim, hello.
Say hi.
Hi.
Peace with you.
Thank you.
All is peace with you.
What is religion?
Politics?
Politics.
Yeah.
have a book and now his religion I agree but that's not why that's not the subject you called on I took you but but about God make everything and look everything good because God made you All right, listen, it's not clear enough, and I thank you, but I want to...
He took the call because the screener wrote that he wanted to say, we don't choose God, God chooses us.
And I don't agree with that.
That is not an uncommon view.
I wish that he had been able to articulate that view.
If somebody believes that they should call in.
So what do you do?
You sit home and watch TV on Sunday morning until God gives you a call to go to church?
That's not my view.
My view, we are the actors.
All right, let's see.
Jack in Dallas.
Didn't I just have a Jack in Fort Worth?
Hi, Jack.
Hi, Dennis.
How are you?
Good, thank you.
It's good.
I'm a rare breed, so, like, I'm very politically conservative, but I'm also an atheist.
Right.
And the reason I came to that conclusion was because I don't find any scientific evidence for God.
That's so fascinating.
Do you agree that there was a Big Bang?
Yes, I believe in evolution, the Big Bang.
No, no, no, no, no.
I didn't ask about evolution.
Do you believe in the Big Bang?
Do you believe that the universe started at a certain time?
Absolutely, but it's kind of indeterminable when that time was.
No, that's not true.
They know it's about 14 billion years ago.
That's not true.
It's not indeterminable at all.
Well, I was going to say 5 billion years, but yeah.
Okay, fine.
So, if you believe in the Big Bang, which most scientists do, in other words, the universe had a beginning, you think it started itself?
Well, there had to be a starter, but like I said, I don't know enough to determine what started it.
And things happen randomly all the time.
You believe, well, things happen randomly once they exist.
Of course it had a starter with a capital S.
Anyway, as I said at the opening, even if you don't believe in God, you should be religious.

Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing.
If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic.
We have all longed for this moment.
When we can get back to some sense of normalcy.

Hi, Charlie.

Please, please, I beg of you, don't hang up.
Because then I can't read what you wanted to say.
All right, Sarasota, Florida.
Greg, religion is not meeting the needs of the people nowadays, hence its decline.
You know what?
I want to stay on.
I'm going to try to get you for a moment.
Let's see.
Oh, great.
Scott in Charlotte, Florida.
Accepted your challenge as a secular person to lead a religious life for six months and has never looked back.
Man, I've got to talk to you.
Call me Friday in the third hour.
That is so good to hear.
Chris in Minneapolis, people dread having to answer the high moral standards.
That makes them avoid religion.
I believe that very, very much.
People want to be their own gods.
That was exactly what the promise of the serpent was in the Garden of Eden.
Eat of the tree of knowledge, and you'll be like God.
That's it.
That's right.
Let's see.
Robert and Torrance.
God said we should not be religious.
He seeks a relationship with us.
Robert, I don't agree with you, and I would love, I wish we had the time to do that.
I think this relationship with God without a religion is fraught with danger.
How do you know it's a relationship with God if you have no standards to bounce it off?
I know you have an answer, and I feel bad that you don't have the ability to do so right now.
Drew, in Yorba Linda, California, image of the Creator as a vengeful punitive God scares away many from religion.
I deal with that, and I think decisively in my Rational Bible volumes.
I wish you would read that.
Or at least give to somebody who does.
All right.
Just got a few seconds.
Greg in Sarasota.
Hi.
Hi.
I'll make it quick.
So I believe that we have a free market of religion, and just like our free economic markets, if the free market isn't working, if religion is in decline, then it's not meeting the needs of the people.
Right.
So the question is, do the people know what their needs are?
And that's...
When religion doesn't make moral demands and show the relevancy of God to their lives, and especially the Bible, I don't think it's meeting their needs.
I don't know if people really know their needs.
That's the interesting thing.
Thanks, everybody.
