Dennis Prager Show - Steve Cortes: Even Medical Masks Are Ineffective! Aired: 2021-04-21 Duration: 04:12 === Why Masks Fail (03:41) === [00:00:00] The layman can understand it. [00:00:00] I'm a doctor. [00:00:02] The layman can understand the study, and I would encourage the readers to read it. [00:00:05] I think it's worth reading because he, number one, establishes that masks are ineffective. [00:00:11] In a medical rigorous study, that they are ineffective. [00:00:14] Even medical masks, even N95s, even properly warned that this virus is simply molecularly too small. [00:00:22] Like masks. [00:00:23] And by the way, we know just intuitively that that makes sense because when we look at places in the country, Where masking is basically universal. [00:00:31] Places like California, like my hometown of Chicago, like New York City, we still know that the virus has spread like crazy. [00:00:37] And in some cases, actually has spread quite a bit more in the places that are the most significantly restricted and locked, compared to places where there is very little masking. [00:00:45] So I think, you know, we just intuitively, from a common sense perspective, realize that the masks have not worked. [00:00:50] But this is a scientific study, again, posted on the NIH website. [00:00:55] That is the link I provided. [00:00:56] I quoted from the actual study about the inefficacy of masks. [00:01:00] I added just one line of my own commentary, dehumanizing and ineffective. [00:01:05] And for that, Twitter took it down, took my account down. [00:01:09] I'm now restored and back on. [00:01:11] But I'll tell you what, I'm not going to stop talking about it, so I'm sure it's not long before I will stand entirely from Twitter. [00:01:19] The fact that it is a government-published study doesn't even matter. [00:01:24] Mm-hmm. [00:01:25] Yeah. [00:01:27] And they took you down, not just that tweet. [00:01:31] Correct. [00:01:32] Correct. [00:01:33] I could not access Twitter at all. [00:01:34] Not only could I not post, I didn't realize that's how that worked. [00:01:37] I hadn't been put... [00:01:38] Oh, you couldn't even... [00:01:38] Oh, my God, I couldn't access other... [00:01:41] I couldn't get to Twitter. [00:01:42] And you know what I... Which, you know, shame on me, and I'm fixing this now in my own life, is... [00:01:46] I realize how much I depend on Twitter just for my political news and my knowledge, you know, and to do broadcasting, right? [00:01:52] And it really was a hamstring to not have that. [00:01:56] And I've got to fix that because I don't want to be dependent on it and because, in all likelihood, I anticipate I will get banned permanently. [00:02:03] It's sort of a system, so now I've got a big strike. [00:02:06] And I'm not going to stop talking about it. [00:02:07] I'm not going to be intimidated. [00:02:09] To your point, too, about children, you know, as a father, this drove me crazy. [00:02:16] A very abbreviated basketball season because Governor Pritzker in Illinois, one of the worst governors in America, forbade sports for almost all of the school year. [00:02:26] We're really having dropouts here. [00:02:28] So we were able to play basketball, thank goodness. [00:02:31] My son loves hoops and I love watching and coached him for years. [00:02:33] But you know what? [00:02:35] These poor children, they had to wear masks in basketball on the court, Dennis. [00:02:39] You know how high-intensity cardiovascular... [00:02:42] We can only pray. [00:02:46] That at some point in the future, this generation will be regarded as bizarre and irrational as those who believed in witches. [00:02:57] And I agree with you. [00:02:58] I think it is abusive. [00:02:59] Not only is it just... [00:03:00] It's not a mistake. [00:03:01] No, it's abusive. [00:03:02] What, two-year-olds on airplanes? [00:03:03] Two-year-olds? [00:03:05] These people are sick. [00:03:08] Because statistically, again, let's rely on the data, right? [00:03:10] These people claim to be the party of science, the people who are locking us down and who are forcing children to... [00:03:17] The science tells us that for children, the regular seasonal flu is far more dangerous than is COVID-19. [00:03:24] And we have never required that children play basketball with masks on to prevent the flu. === Wasted On Radio (00:46) === [00:03:32] Because it would be a ridiculous risk-reward calculation, right? [00:03:35] It would be absurd. [00:03:36] And all of life, to some extent, is a risk-reward calculation, right? [00:03:39] That we all make every single day. [00:03:41] Not to some extent. [00:03:42] It's exactly what it is. [00:03:44] What is the price is the only intelligent question. [00:03:48] All right, listen, you let me know when you start your TV thing and I will happily promote it. [00:03:53] Please, and please come on as well. [00:03:55] I will happily come on. [00:03:56] You've got a face for television, Dennis. [00:03:58] Oh, I know. [00:03:59] Wasted on radio. [00:04:00] Completely wasted. [00:04:01] Be well, my friend. [00:04:06] He's terrific. [00:04:10] Do you understand, folks? [00:04:11] He put up a study.
