Dennis Prager Show - If Cartoons are Triggering You, Then YOU Might Be the Problem Aired: 2021-03-11 Duration: 07:34 === Trivial Joys Compromised (04:14) === [00:00:00] If you believe that Dumbo or Pepe Le Pew or... [00:00:08] Dr. Seuss. [00:00:09] Dr. Seuss. [00:00:11] And who was the latest cartoon? [00:00:13] Speedy Gonzales. [00:00:14] That these are nefarious characters that poison the minds of young people. [00:00:20] There is... [00:00:22] This is a living proof of how little wrong there is with the country. [00:00:28] I'll give you a human example. [00:00:31] Let's say you are married to a wonderful human being. [00:00:35] However, this human being, on occasion, I'm trying to think of something that is truly trivial. [00:00:45] Trivial to the point of almost non-existence. [00:00:49] This person does just about everything right, but is 30 seconds late whenever you leave the house. [00:01:02] Your spouse, your partner. [00:01:04] 30 seconds. [00:01:07] Consistently. [00:01:09] And you then speak of your spouse as your condition is bordering on divorce because your spouse is habitually a minute late. [00:01:27] That is what the left is to America. [00:01:29] They create... [00:01:30] Nobody cares if you're a minute late. [00:01:32] No one. [00:01:32] No normal human being. [00:01:34] The left is not normal, morally normal. [00:01:39] There's another thing that I'm glad you actually mentioned all of this. [00:01:43] There's another thing that is at work here. [00:01:47] The left loathes joy. [00:01:52] Every joy must be compromised. [00:01:54] The joy of driving your own car, the joy of owning your own home, the joy of... [00:02:02] Oh, yes, that's right. [00:02:05] Eating meat. [00:02:07] That's correct. [00:02:08] Look, my wife is a vegetarian. [00:02:11] Doesn't give me a hard time, though. [00:02:14] I have respect for vegetarians. [00:02:17] It's actually a... [00:02:20] A morally compelling argument. [00:02:24] There is one. [00:02:26] There are moral arguments for meat-eating. [00:02:30] But every joy... [00:02:33] Oh, yes, you mentioned straws. [00:02:34] Yes, that's right. [00:02:35] People were using straws. [00:02:37] People were using paper bags. [00:02:40] I don't think people understand how big the ocean is. [00:02:43] The idea that plastic will ruin the ocean. [00:02:47] Have you ever actually seen, unless Google has suppressed it, there is a drawing on the internet of the entirety of the area of plastic in the ocean. [00:03:08] And needless to say, you cannot see it. [00:03:12] If you took a... [00:03:14] A picture, and they did, of the Pacific Ocean. [00:03:18] It would be such a speck as to be invisible to the naked eye. [00:03:24] Now, I'm not happy if turtles get straws in their nostrils. [00:03:31] But I think people need to put things into perspective. [00:03:39] We are living in the age of absurdity because... [00:03:43] There is a need for the absurd to further the cause of the left. [00:03:50] All whites are racist is as absurd as Dumbo is racist. [00:03:57] Except it's a more venal lie. === Why Listen To An Anti-Semite? (03:34) === [00:04:01] But it's absurd, right? [00:04:03] It's a white who's saying it. [00:04:05] So why should I listen to you? [00:04:07] Why isn't your morality compromised? [00:04:10] By the fact that you say it. [00:04:11] And by the way, since I know I'm not a racist, I know it. [00:04:15] I know I am not a racist as much as I know that I am Dennis Prager. [00:04:19] Okay? [00:04:20] So therefore, I can only assume you know you are a racist, since you are saying all whites are racist. [00:04:27] Why would I invite you to lecture? [00:04:30] What if somebody went around saying all Gentiles are anti-Semites? [00:04:36] And this was a Gentile, a non-Jew, who said this. [00:04:39] Why would I want to listen to an anti-Semite? [00:04:43] An admitted anti-Semite. [00:04:49] We live in the age of the absurd because there's nothing rational for them to attack. [00:04:55] So that everything is made up. [00:04:57] Everything is made up. [00:05:00] Riots over something made up. [00:05:03] Yes, it's made up. [00:05:05] That there is extensive and systemic police anti-black brutality. [00:05:12] Follow the science is one of the great lies of the left, because they don't follow the science, meaning the numbers, the tiny numbers of blacks killed by police in a given year. [00:05:23] Tiny! [00:05:27] Especially unarmed blacks. [00:05:29] That's the issue, right? [00:05:30] Unarmed. [00:05:32] Hands up, don't shoot! [00:05:34] It was a lie. [00:05:36] The president called Nazis fine people. [00:05:39] It was a lie. [00:05:43] The left is a world of the absurd and of the lie. [00:05:46] Every morning I wake up and I hear another absurdity because the country is so decent, basically, that you have to say, ah, but you were a minute late last November. [00:06:01] You are unworthy. [00:06:04] Of marriage. [00:06:05] Let's divorce. [00:06:07] Truth is, I wish the left did divorce. [00:06:11] I have a fantasy every so often of left states, the Soviet states, and the free states of America. [00:06:22] I know where I would live. [00:06:25] I'd be very curious. [00:06:26] I'd like to ask liberals. [00:06:28] Would you rather live in a state governed by... [00:06:32] Republicans or Democrats, left or right? [00:06:37] I wonder what they would say. [00:06:39] Would you rather live in Texas where there's no... [00:06:43] Talk about absurd, the absurdity. [00:06:46] Get vaccinated, you still need a mask. [00:06:49] You get vaccinated, you still shouldn't travel. [00:06:54] What the hell is the point of the vaccine? [00:06:56] So the absurd governs our time. [00:07:04] But there's a reason. [00:07:06] That's what you have to remember. [00:07:08] Because you must enter the world of the absurd to attack America as systemically racist or anything else. [00:07:19] Yep. [00:07:21] Skunk doesn't take no for an answer in his sexual desires. [00:07:29] To think of the youth of America poisoned by that skunk.
