To say that it is good to be with you is to understate the case.
That's fair.
Some philosophical thoughts to open the day on this Groundhog Day.
One of my favorite films ever made.
The film is genius and you laugh and you think and I wonder if that movie could be made today.
And I'll tell you why.
The left has made it that you cannot be honest about the human condition.
His wooing of her, I wonder if that would be deemed in some way sexist or offensive.
Right?
learning everything about her and figuring out how to say the right thing on the next Groundhog Day because every day repeats itself.
We had him on the show.
He's a fan of the show and we're a fan of his.
I haven't seen it in a while.
Probably worth doing.
So I said opening up with some...
Philosophy of life here.
So, every one of you has been touched by tragedy.
It is not possible to be a human being and not be touched by tragedy.
That's the nature of life.
In fact, the chapter in my happiness book is that I have a tragic view of life, and that is one of the reasons I'm happy, because It enables me to appreciate, you know, my old saw, if nothing's horrific, life is terrific.
Because, why do I have that saying?
Because I know that it is so much part of the fabric of life.
Suffering and pain and tragedy.
The left has always been, since the French Revolution, And to the present, the left has always been utopian.
What does that mean?
That means it doesn't accept the fact that life is inherently tragic.
So that, to put it in American terms, if life isn't working out for anyone, for me or for anyone else, it is because not of life.
And certainly not of one's own contribution to one's own misery, but America.
This is the essence of the left, immaturity.
Every leftist has immature, childlike thinking.
And that is devastating to the society.
You cannot survive.
When people don't grow up.
Now, there are people on the left who have grown up in other ways.
The human being is a complex creature.
But in terms of understanding life and appreciating what life is about, they're children.
The sooner you understand that life is filled with tragedy, it is inherent to it.
The more you realize that, the more you appreciate America.
Isn't that interesting?
Right?
So these are very important aspects of what is going on, is the appreciation of the inevitability of suffering.
Would you play, Sean, if you could find Robert F. Kennedy, you know, I dream of this and you dream of that.
We all dream for ice cream.
This is his statement, which the left is crazy about.
It's music.
Beethoven's seventh doesn't do more for me than this statement of Robert F. Kennedy did for people on the left about dreaming things that never were.
I don't.
I dream to continue the incremental approach to making a better society that is part of the human condition and part of America, understanding that you incrementally make a better society.
Where did I learn that from?
I learned that from the Bible.
People who are steeped in the Bible know two things.
They know many things, but two of the things they know are the inherent tragic nature of life, and that the only approach to making a better world is incremental.
That's why the Bible did not fully ban slavery.
It just had a series of laws like you cannot return an escaped slave to his owner.
Imagine that?
That's really, that was promulgated 3,000 years ago.
You cannot return a slave to his owner.
Ten Commandments do not steal.
Most people don't know, so I suggest that you pick up the Rational Bible, the Exodus book, which explains the Ten Commandments, and the original understanding of do not steal is do not steal, People.
You cannot steal people.
That would have ended the transatlantic slave trade before it began, had people listened to that.
Not to understand the inherent tragedy of life is to enter the world of destruction.
So that you actually believe that Abraham Lincoln was not a good man.
Do you understand how bad the left is?
That in San Francisco they have taken down the name Lincoln from schools in San Francisco?
Lincoln.
Why not?
So why such a stupid statement?
Truly, I don't want to say even stupid.
Why such a naive, utopian statement?
Which means nothing.
What does it mean?
Who has dreamt things that aren't?
What does that mean?
What is there to dream that isn't?
That the lion will lie down with the lamb?
Yes, that's a dream that isn't, but that's understood to be in God's time.
It's another point of the Bible.
It's not utopian.
There will be a time when the lion will lie down with the lamb, but...
That is not available to us.
So why did they love this line?
Because he was handsome and because he was articulate.
He had style.
The left loves style.
So John Kennedy has orgies in the White House.
And the guy is an idol of...
Both the liberal and the left.
And whereas Donald Trump, whatever he did was before he was president, and for that he has been excoriated.
Do you know that I actually read a book a couple of months ago by a 19, I think she was 19, 19-year-old, who sort of on...
What is it?
Intern?
I guess.
I don't know if she was an intern, if that was the official word.
I don't know how I came across it, but she was a regular lover of the president when such things were possible.
And the book was riveting.
It was completely unsalacious.
The woman wrote a thoughtful book.
And I was riveted by it.
But it was just understood.
This is the way he operates.
And I'm not saying anything.
I believe that the public should not know about people's private lives unless it's involved in some evil.
If somebody raped somebody, that's a different question.
But they had style.
Why did the left love adore John F. Kennedy Jr., who, with no ill intentions at all, achieved nothing in the macro, might have been a wonderful human being?
Because he was handsome and had style.
The statement you just heard from Robert F. Kennedy embodies the left.
So they dream a society of essentially no problems.
That's what he was saying.
I would like you to dream of something.
Give it to me again, John.
I want to analyze this because when you think about it, it's very difficult to explain.
But that is what you are seeing unfolding.
this immature thinking of society.

Numbers matter.
And think about the fact that they always tout the popular vote as opposed to the electoral college.
That's why every vote matters.
Even if you're in California, like yourself, Victor in Maryland, every single vote matters.
And this is why you never give up.
It's not an excuse, but you're absolutely right from the historical perspective.
Politics is cyclical.
It truly is cyclical.
You get a Reagan because of a Carter.
That's absolutely true.
You get a Donald Trump because of what?
Because of the betrayal of the American people by both sides of the political aisle.
So the idea that simply because they managed to do what they did in November, that that's it.
We're done.
Absolutely not.
Think about one thing and one thing alone.
How did they treat Donald Trump when he came down those escalators?
And I don't mean just the left.
I don't mean the late-night talk show hosts, the quote-unquote comedians.
I mean the right.
The establishment.
Do you remember?
And what happened?
He trounced them all.
Even after the Billy Bush tape, he was a force of nature.
That's the attitude I want to see in all Americans.

Sally, do you think it's fair to say that the majority of Americans are really too afraid to have health care, they have the private sector completely run health care.
They don't trust the private sector enough to allow the private sector to run health care.
They've been trained to fear the private sector and to embrace government to the point now where a discussion about unraveling government entanglement in health care we can't even have anymore?
more Well, first of all, Larry, we don't have a complete private market in health care in this country, as you know.
50% of our health care is in the hands of government through Medicare.

Left-wing thinking is not childlike.
It is childish.
I love...
You know, I actually love being corrected.
You're a living witness to that fact.
The reason I love being corrected is I never want to persevere in doing something mistaken.
That's why I have so many editors for my work.
It's one of the reasons that it's good stuff.
Very, very good stuff.
I love being edited.
I love being corrected.
And this is not a boast.
It is simply a way of approaching life that is healthy for everybody.
But we live in the age of instant hurt.
And that too is childish.
Isn't that interesting?
It's part of the childishness.
I should do, I always say this, and I hope you folks forgive me.
I should write up the childish traits of the left.
Ironically, there are images of things that didn't exist.
I mean, you know, when Isaiah the prophet says 2,500 years ago, nations shall not lift sword against nation, and they shall not learn war anymore.
Obviously, that never existed.
So there you have, if you will, a dream.
But the Bible doesn't negate the idea that we can dream for wonderful things.
It just doesn't believe that they are imminent or that failing that you have a society that should be torn down.
Look, why are religious Jews and Christians?
backing America in the left versus America battle.
Why is that?
It's an interesting question.
I would like leftists to answer.
It obviously reinforces their loathing for People who take the Bible seriously.
You know, there was...
Oh, I printed it out yesterday.
This was...
I told you folks many times, I read comments.
I can't read them all.
There are articles that have thousands of comments.
But here we go.
Look at that.
This was a comment by a reader of the New York Times in the New York Times.
Okay, so let's see.
Oh, it's to Bret Stephens' column that the left has gone too far.
Trumpians studied with no teachers if they study anything at all.
Hence, they grew up with their own value system.
That manifested in their finest...
See, this is how the left...
They live in a make-believe world, but that's not why I'm reading this to you.
Now listen to the last line of this man's comment in the New York Times.
I guess the sensible people of this country will get their children educated by our wonderful teachers.
Learn real science and not seven-day creation as Pence did.
In the final analysis, what the left most hates is, in fact, the Judeo-Christian world.
So this is so interesting that this guy, notice out of nowhere, he ends his comment with, we won't learn seven days of creation like Pence did.
And I have always thought, always, why does it bug leftists that people believe that God created the world in seven days?
Actually, six days.
Created the Sabbath on the seventh day, but that's another issue.
Why does it bug them?
Can you tell me anything bad that emanates from that belief?
Now, I happen to believe that the world is...
Billions of years old.
And I believe that this is a metaphor, the use of the word day.
So I'm not a literalist in that regard.
But it doesn't matter.
I respect the literalist.
I've never figured out.
I know a lot of people who believe in seven days creation.
They're spectacular people.
They go to the doctor.
If the kid gets sick, they bring their kid to the emergency room.
Can you tell me, what is the downside of believing that there is a God who created the world in seven days?
What is the downside?
They don't believe in science?
That's absurd.
It's a stupid comment by stupid people.
How has it adversely affected Mike Pence?
If indeed he does believe in six days creation, literally, how does it adversely affect his grasp on life?
May I offer this possibility that people who say men menstruate are far more out of it and dangerous to the world than people who say God created the world in seven days.
So this guy is anybody on the left who preaches the absurdity The alleged absurdity of believing that God created the world in seven days, I think that they need to look at, what is it, the mote in their eye?
Right?
Oh, that's absurd.
But men give birth and men menstruate.
Oh, I see.
Right.
And America was founded in 1619. Now, that's a lie.
That God created the world in six days is a belief.
It's not a lie.
But it's a lie what is taught to your children about the founding of America from the New York Times.
That's just plain lie.
The left wrote the book on lying.
This is what bugs them, though.
They hate us.
There's an article in, where was it?
USA Today?
By that professor of religious studies, one of the most obscene pieces, just obscene.
The hatred of Christians in this country, on the part of many, is a phenomenon to behold.

If I had a name for my show, it would be explaining life.
I've wanted to do that since I was in high school.
I really wanted in this, my one sojourn in this world, I wanted to understand it as best as possible.
So, to the extent that you agree that I have attained some ability in that regard, I share it with you.
The utopian vision is part of what we're talking about today.
Thank you.
There was something, ironically, that was envisioned that didn't exist before.
I have to be completely open and honest here.
They didn't use the language, although they hinted at it.
The founders of the United States wanted to create a society where the individual was more important than the state and was free.
That is the only new thing since monotheism 3,000 years ago.
You have no idea how much the founders were rooted.
In the Old Testament, specifically the Torah, like the Liberty Bell, has one verse on it, one sentence on it.
It's from the Torah, from the first five books.
Those five books, the one I'm writing my commentary on, that is the basis of Judaism, Christianity, and the West.
Those five books, Love Your Neighbors, Yourself, The Ten Commandments, The Exodus, Creation, everything is there.
So they developed something new.
A place where the individual was of paramount significance.
And the state was not.
The state's job was to preserve liberty.
The French Revolution hated that idea.
The Russian Revolution hated that idea.
And the left in America hates that idea.
It was a revolution.
We are undergoing, or if you will, a counter-revolution.
Freedom means nothing to the left.
Nothing.
Except for certain individual freedoms like abortion.
That's pretty much it.
That's where freedom for the left ends.
The state is the all-knowing All good.
Do you, Sean, have the statement from the Democratic Convention, the only thing all Americans have in common is the government?
That's one of the Hall of Fame lines.
I was there.
I was at the Democratic Convention when that announcement was made.
So if you can find it, you will hear it.
It was a perfect statement of what the left believes.
We all share.
The government.
I'm with Calvin Coolidge.
Essentially, the less the individual thinks of the government, the better the society.

Ron DeSantis is a Republican, so therefore has to be portrayed as some kind of a yahoo.
And Cuomo, who it was literally revealed yesterday, under-reported COVID deaths in nursing homes by around 50%.
He gets the victory lap.
He gets the book deal.
He gets the Emmy Award.
These clowns, even when they're faced with horrific news, like the Attorney General in New York and her scathing report,
Showing the disastrous response by Cuomo with his mandate that nursing homes must take COVID-19 infected people, which sent thousands and thousands of elderly people to their deaths?

Andrew Cuomo's COVID-19 performance may have been less stellar than it seemed.
May have been less stellar.

I think people are being very loose with their language here.
The president's been impeached for inciting an insurrection, which has a very technical meaning.
But we know that there's a lot of loose language here in Washington, D.C. I think about Chuck Schumer over at the Supreme Court saying that to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, I said, you'll never know what hit you.
Maxine Waters telling...
I think we just need to realize that we need to temper our speech here because there are people who will take it perhaps much farther than anybody ever intended.
But I don't believe the president intended to incite violence.
I do believe he intended to try to influence the Congress during the certification of the electoral vote.
But I don't think you can also impeach somebody for Speech that is protected by the First Amendment, which this may well be under Brandenburg versus Ohio.
I've talked about that already, so I won't go over that.
What Jake also said, Bill Clinton was impeached while he was in office, and the trial occurred when he was in office.
Donald Trump, it's just factually different.
And when journalists wade into the law, often they embarrass themselves.
Yeah, I agree with that.
And I don't know whether Jake thought that impeachment of Clinton was a good idea or not, or he's just citing that as an example where somebody lies under oath.
This is not lying under oath.

I won't comment on that now.
Learn real science and not seven-day creation as Pence did.
So I ask the question, what difference does it make to anybody whether a person believes in the seven-day creation or not?
I know a fair number, more than almost any of you might know, unless you're involved in that world.
Of religious Christians and religious Jews with what we call fundamentalist beliefs, which I do not use as a negative, who believe that God created the world in seven days, literally days.
Okay?
I have yet to understand why that matters to people.
So it matters to Gabe in Denver.
He thinks it really shows something negative, to understate it, about a person.
We left with my asking you, what exactly is the price paid for that belief?
Well, I'll just circle back because I was thinking about it during the break.
I think you're correct in saying that...
Thank you.
Anyway, I appreciate your call.
I have raised this issue occasionally.
I have never, ever been given the answer to the question, what difference does it make if somebody believes it?
Okay?
So if you believe something and it has no bearing on...
Your ability to navigate life or distinguish, for that matter, between truth and falsehood.
Miracles are miracles.
Right?
So what difference does it make to you?
But they loathe those of us who believe in this.
I'll tell you this.
I think people who believe that God created the world in seven days, six again to be more precise, but in seven days are closer to...
Truth than people who believe the world came about on its own.
Now, again, I believe the billions of years.
I believe in the long period theory or whatever it might be.
But so what?
I believe God created the world.
I am closer to those people than I am to the people Who say it all came about by itself.
The belief that there is no creator, that has consequences, far more consequences than the belief that the creator made the world in seven days.
Because if you don't believe in the creator, then you don't believe that we are endowed with inalienable rights, right?
Declaration of Independence.
We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
No Creator, no inalienable rights.
That's consequential.
All righty.
That's correct.

And, frankly, I'm not sure how to quite respond to that.
Freedom of speech is...

Yeah, but without a specific...
Of course there are consequences to free speech.

Basically, so if you are fired, or if you are taken off the air, Or if you are censored, then that's just how it is.
You don't have freedom of speech in that way.
It's just involving the government.
So it is perfectly fine for you to be fired for your political belief.
That's what these people on the left say.
Well, wait, that's a second argument.
That it's not the government doing it is irrelevant to the first argument.
Of course there are consequences to what I say.
If I say to somebody in the street, you know, you're truly ugly.
There are consequences.
I may get punched.
They may curse me.
They just may walk away.
Of course, to say that there are consequences to speech is not one of the great insights of modernity.
As regards being shut down, then you don't have free speech.
They can't have it both ways.
Oh, you have free speech until we take it away.
That's exactly right.
That's my viewpoint as well.
Alright, let me leave it at that.
I mean, it is unbelievable.
The words that are spouted today, it's because the people read the Washington Post and the New York Times too much.
So they actually think, or they go to school, and they actually think that those are truly deep points.
Oh, you have freedom of speech, but if you exercise it, I take it away.
Then you don't have free speech.
As regards the argument, well, they're private companies, they're not the government.
The private companies got their immunity to lawsuits on the promise that they would be an open forum.
Google lives a lie.
YouTube lives a lie.
Facebook lives a lie.
Twitter lives the biggest lie among the lies.
Yes, give us immunity to lawsuits, but we'll shut down whatever we differ with.
So I always ask a question with this new notion that, oh, private enterprise can do what it wants.
Really?
So if the big three airlines, Delta, American, and United, announced if you come on board with the Wall Street Journal, you can't fly with us, can they do that?
Yes or no?
Yes or no?
Private company, correct?
Or how about this?
Who'd you vote for?
You voted for Trump?
Can't come on our American flight.
Why not?
It's a private company.
And it's even worse.
I mean, theoretically, if you can't get on American, United, and Delta, you could still get to a destination on Southwest or Alaska or what have you.
But if you don't get on the highway of Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, you don't go anywhere.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Rager, we return. we return.
You know, you get a Reagan because of a Carter.
That's absolutely true.
You get a Donald Trump because of what?
Because of the betrayal of the American people by both sides of the political aisle.
So the idea that simply because they managed to do what they did in November, that that's it.
We're done?
Absolutely not.
Think about one thing and one thing alone.
How did they treat Donald Trump when he came down those escalators?
And I don't mean just the left.
I don't mean the late-night talk show hosts, the quote-unquote comedians.
I mean the right, the establishment.
Do you remember?
And what happened?
He trounced them all.
Even after the Billy Bush tape, he was a force of nature.
That's the attitude I want to see in all Americans.
Be more like Donald Trump.
Never, ever give up.
Because that's what being an American is to me.

If you don't know what the World Economic Forum is, the World Economic Forum is a gathering of the richest, most well-connected people on the planet.
They usually meet in Davos, Switzerland, which is very hard to get to.
And in Davos, Switzerland, a lot of very big globalist ideas are introduced.
And so this is talked about sometimes in conservative circles as the Davos agenda or as the kind of globalist agenda.
This is their Super Bowl.
This is where they do their planning and their announcements.
This is where you'll have the Bill Gateses of the world, the Jeff Bezos of the world, the heads of state from around the world gather, and they basically say, how can we destroy sovereignty of our nations?
How can we try and...
Have free flow of people and make ourselves more important.

Sally, do you think it's fair to say that the majority of Americans are really too afraid to have health care, have the private sector completely run health care?
They don't trust the private sector enough to allow the private sector to run health care.
They've been trained to fear the private sector and to embrace government to the point now where a discussion about unraveling government entanglement in health care we can't even have anymore?
Well, first of all, we don't have a complete private market in health care in this country, as you know.
Fifty percent of our health care is in the hands of government through Medicare, the program for our seniors, of which covers 65 million, Medicaid, the program for low-income people that covers now 70 million Americans, the CHIP program, the Veterans Administration.
So we don't have a private market.
But the progressive liberals like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the mainstream media, have just...
We've brainwashed the American people to say that the private sector cannot provide the kind of alternatives and different types of plans for people.
So people are being completely bamboozled.
But it's interesting that, you know, 59% of people polled say they support single-payer, a complete government takeover of health care, which Bernie Sanders wants.
But when you ask the people, 160 million of them, well, what...
If you ask them, well, you're going to have to pay much higher taxes, support goes down to 37%.
If you tell them we're going to take away your private coverage and everybody's going to be in a government plan, support goes down to 26%.
The problem is people don't understand what it means.
And Talia, the very same people that are complaining about the vaccination rollout are perfectly content to have the government take over everything.

Well, here's CNN's take.
Last night, honest to goodness, this came down at like 8 o'clock at night.
Headlined by Chris Saliza.
CNN editor at large.
Analysis.
Andrew Cuomo's COVID-19 performance may have been less stellar than it seemed.
May have been less stellar.
They lied about how many people died in nursing homes.
Be a good person.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Thank you.
I haven't talked to you much about the impeachment.
I'm waiting for the trial, so to speak, to begin to address it more, because I have no choice.
The irony is, if I were a private citizen, I wouldn't watch it, I wouldn't think about it.
It's part of my way of staying sane.
In the world of absurdity that the left has created, impeaching a president who is not a president.
I mean, it doesn't get more absurd.
Well, it's not true.
I mean, the amount of absurdity men give birth is up there, too.
We'll impeach a president who isn't president.
Oh, I see.
The New York Times, which is a propaganda organ for the Democratic Party on the left has another, of course, they covering this.
This is, it's a life and death issue, the impeachment trial.
It's talking about the Democrats.
They dismissed the argument by David Schoen, one of Mr. Trump's lawyers, that the former president was merely exercising his First Amendment right to free speech.
The managers argued that, on the contrary, By attacking the Constitution, Mr. Trump was in fact undermining all rights enshrined there, including free speech.
Do you understand that?
I read it twice and I don't understand it.
How was he, first of all, how did he attack the Constitution?
I suppose if he is fomenting an insurrection.
Oh, by fomenting, he didn't foment insurrection.
The only words we have of him with regard to the Capitol are, go and peacefully march there.
You're allowed to peacefully march to the Capitol.
There were hundreds of thousands of people.
How many?
Does anybody have the number of people who riotously entered the Capitol?
I mean, from the photos, do we have 200?
Is it 1,000?
Do we have any idea?
I mean, the irony is...
So let me understand, all the riots of last year, the staggering number of them, including against government buildings, they were not in any way fomented by Democrats telling us how racist this country is, how systemically racist.
They were not fomented by the media's irresponsible depiction of the death of George Floyd as racist murder.
It may not have been murder, and we have no clue whether it was racist.
So the New York Times is in no way responsible with its hysteria with regard to any one of these moments.
Or Barack Obama mentioning Ferguson, Missouri, long after it was established that the white police officer did nothing wrong in the killing of Michael Brown, who was reaching for his gun.
Reaching for the police officer's gun.
See?
They're not responsible for their speech.
You raise a generation to believe the country is despicable, then people riot because they think it's despicable, but you're not responsible for that.
But if the president says he thinks he was cheated in the election, ah, then he's worthy of impeachment even when he's out of office.
They're going a little crazy on the left because they, without Trump around, They don't have their convenient target.
Tucker Carlson made a very good point, as he always does, and he mentioned all of us are Trump.
That's exactly correct.
We're all Trump.
If you're anti-left, you're Trump.
I believe if you're anti-left...
With very few exceptions, you are a decent human being.
It is indecent not to be anti-left.
They are shattering this country.
It's an amazing thing when you think about it.
Things were so good for so many people in the country.
And without hysteria, there is no left.
The impeachment is another example of hysteria.
That's what it is.
The lockdowns in California, for example, are an example of hysteria.
By the way, does anybody have a reason?
Did Governor Newsom, who, by the way, if you're a Californian, please sign up to have him removed from office.
The man is a danger to truth and to staggering numbers of Californians' livelihoods.
Why did he open up restaurants for outdoor dining?
Did they give a reason?
What changed?
What changed last week?
The number of hospitalizations?
They have it great.
You can't lose on the left.
If there's a lockdown and the number of hospitalizations goes down, you see?
It was because of our lockdown.
If they lock down and the number of hospitalizations go up, you see how badly we needed lockdowns?
Imagine how much higher the number of hospitalizations would be.
There you go.
Spike Lee, I mentioned this to you last week.
Spike Lee said that Donald Trump will go down in history with the likes of Hitler.
So I'm just curious, in light of the call from a young man last hour in South Carolina, does he pay a price for saying things like that?
Nobody on the left pays a price.
There's nothing they could say.
He will go down with the likes of Hitler?
Why didn't the Anti-Defamation League, which is supposed to protect Jews, why didn't they immediately attack Spike Lee?
See, Hitler, among other horrors, is responsible for the Holocaust.
A lifelong study of this has convinced me that no Hitler, no Holocaust.
Obviously, vast numbers of people helped.
And it was his mania of annihilating Jews that caused, and I believe every, I've said this so long that it utterly predates the current era.
Every young person, every adult should read a book on the Holocaust and a book on slavery.
Spike Lee has cheapened Hitler.
Beyond words, by saying that.
Does one Jewish organization come out against him?
Of course not, because Jewish organizations have been co-opted by the left.
So the ADL is just another left-wing organization.
Most of you never heard of the ADL, which is fine.
There was a time when it had...
Some prestige in protecting Jews against defamation.
That's what ADL stands for, Anti-Defamation League.
That has ended.
Just like the ACLU once stood for freedom.
And that has pretty much ended.
Whatever the left takes over, it destroys.
But anyway, it's just an interesting question, isn't it?
In light of consequences.
The only people there are consequences of speech.
Our people on the right.

Donald Trump incites a terrorist attack and they have a different standard.
Your assessment of Jake's assessment, Senator?
Well, I think people are being very loose with their language here.
The president's been impeached for inciting an insurrection, which has a very technical meaning.
We know that there's a lot of loose language here in Washington, D.C. I think about Chuck Schumer over at the Supreme Court saying that to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh said, you'll never know what hit you.
Maxine Waters telling the anti-Trumpers to get in the face of people who support the president.
I think we just need to realize that we need to temper our speech here because there are people who will take it perhaps.
Much farther than anybody ever intended.
What Jake also said.
Bill Clinton was impeached while he was in office, and the trial occurred when he was in office.
Donald Trump, it's just factually different.
And when journalists wade into the law, often they embarrass themselves.
Yeah, I agree with that.

Well, let me first preface this by stating that I was working here in Los Angeles with an invite, paid invite to work with a group of people that were responding to what was on Facebook and Twitter and a couple of social media for paid invite to work with a group of people that were responding to what was on Facebook and Twitter and a couple of social media for I'm working for a documentary filmmaker that
wanted to have a group of people, which I helped hire, that filmed with their mobile phones.
That, what they anticipated, was maggots-wearing hat people.
They were antitha people specifically there to infiltrate and start fights.
So that was the purpose.
So let me tell you a little bit about the numbers.
I have heard that Antifa were among the leaders of the riot since the beginning.
Frankly, I wish it were provable, but I haven't seen the evidence as of yet.

Capital is a limited space.
We have videos of virtually everything that went on.
There is an article in USA Today from yesterday that is about as ugly a piece of hate as I have seen published.
And there's so much hate.
In the left-wing media.
This is a professor, Rachel Mikva.
She is a professor of Jewish Studies and senior faculty fellow at the Interreligious Institute of Chicago Theological Seminary.
What's the Chicago Theological Seminary?
You have any idea?
They've hired a hater.
The woman is as bigoted...
As I have read in my lifetime, she hates Christians.
She hates them.
She'll deny it, of course.
Oh, they're wonderful Christians.
Yes, everybody who hates groups thinks that they're wonderful members.
After a portion of the mob entered the Senate chamber on January 6th, a handful of men mounted the podium.
One of them lifted his hands and cried out, Jesus Christ, we invoke your name.
Amen.
Then Jacob Chansley, sometimes called the QAnon shaman, or shaman, I think it's shaman, took his bullhorn and announced gratitude to God for being able to, quote, send a message to all the tyrants, the communists and the globalists, that this is our nation, not theirs.
Bare-chested to expose his white supremacist tattoos, he had paused briefly to remove his Viking-inspired horned headdress and cap, Presumably to assume a properly humble posture as he claimed the United States for himself and his fellow believers.
Is there anything to be learned from this?
The violence was roundly condemned if a bit mealy-mouthed in certain quarters.
Who gave a mealy-mouthed condemnation?
Compared to the Democrats, not only non-mealy-mouthed, Non-condemnation of riots all this summer.
I know, I know, Joe Biden tweeted something five days after they started.
Democratic mayors, let it all go on.
Democratic governors, let it all go on.
People spoke of the criminal threat against members of Congress, staffers, and police.
They lamented the violation of sacred civic space and democratic norms, the few we have left.
Really?
Many were especially dismayed to find police, veterans, and elected officials among the rioters.
It is easy to protest when white Christian nationalism turns violent.
Okay, so here is where she gets despicable.
The invasion of the Capitol was white Christian nationalism turning violent?
Do you know how...
These left-wing professors who lie for a living, they live in a make-believe world.
I accuse Rachel Mikva of lying, and she is more than welcome to come on my show and defend herself.
And I will not yell at her, but of course she won't come.
They never debate, but I just announce it for the hell of it.
I'm on in Chicago.
If you have any contact with the Chicago Theological Seminary, the seminary could send somebody else to defend her against the lie.
What the hell is white Christian nationalism?
Do you know what it is?
I have no idea.
A lifetime of work in the Christian community, and I don't know what it is.
White Christian nationalism?
Within the chorus of critics are a substantial number of Christians who plan to take the country for Jesus another way.
What does that mean?
This is what goes for prose in the academic world.
Do you have to substantiate anything you write?
A substantial number of Christians plan to take the country for Jesus another way.
What is the other way?
I'm serious.
Do you know what she's talking about?
Okay.
Senator Josh Hawley, Republican Missouri, a leader of the misinformation campaign that led people to believe falsely that the presidential election was stolen, is among them.
Really?
Josh Hawley wants to take the country for Jesus another way.
What is the other way?
Violence?
Speaking in his official capacity as Attorney General of Missouri in 2017, he proclaimed at a pastors and pews meeting That their charge is to, quote, take the lordship of Christ, that message, into the public realm and to seek the obedience of the nations, of our nation, to influence our society, and even more than that, to transform it to reflect gospel truth.

You voted yesterday against proceeding with the impeachment trial.
Why?
This is an unprecedented impeachment trial, as you know.
Never has it happened before in American history.
And there's no clear path forward in the Constitution or laws themselves.
As you know, the Chief Justice is not presiding.
The Constitution provides it when the...
The President of the United States is tried in a court of impeachment.
The Supreme Court Chief Justice shall preside.
So this is kind of like making it up as we go along here, and I have some very serious concerns about the legitimacy of this whole process.
Now, Senator Cornyn, I and Judge Littig and Alan Dershowitz and Professor Turley have argued for weeks now it is unconstitutional to try a former official, and it is not something we want to begin to do.
There is one...
Contrary example from the 19th century when a former Secretary of War was tried, but I believe many senators changed their mind about jurisdiction thereafter.
Do you believe it's constitutional to try former officials?
Well, as you know, in Federalist 65, Hamilton says that impeachment is really different than anything else, and it's essentially a political process.
But I think just from a prudential standpoint, Even if you would say that this is permissible, I think it's a terrible idea and a terrible precedent.
This means that if a Democratic majority in the House and Senate can try a former Republican president, it means a Republican majority in the House and the Senate could try a previous Democrat president.
I think that's a terrible idea and we shouldn't do it.

I'm hitting 220, and that's just not right.
I remember when the media would write me off and say, well, you know, he's having a first half of the season.

But they forgot I have 82 ballgames left.

We might be going through like eight months, nine months.
But at the end of the day, we walk into 2021. And you have to think about a fresh outlook.
And I think that's what life is really all about.
That's just the way God works.
God works in some mysterious ways, and He works in your life to meet you right where you're at.
And I think we're all in the same boat today.

For what?

I'm going to read the entire quote that makes him a white Christian nationalist violence purveyor.
Ready?
He once said in 2017 that their charge is to, quote, take the lordship of Christ, that message, into the public realm and to seek the obedience of the nations, of our nation, to influence our society.
And even more than that, to transform our society to reflect the gospel truth and lordship of Jesus Christ.
What's wrong with that?
No, I can't even figure it out.
I'll tell you the answer.
She hates Christians.
That's what it is.
The woman is a bigot, like almost everyone on the left.
They're filled with hate.
Not liberals.
Liberals are just weak.
But leftist hate.
To use that as an example, he would like the country to what?
To transform our society to reflect the gospel truth and lordship of Jesus Christ?
I'm a Jew, a practicing, believing Jew.
I don't find anything problematic in that.
I find something problematic in her hatred of them, of Hawley, and of what he said.
Hawley is aware that not everyone will become Christian.
Right?
So what?
But believes we should all live by his interpretation of Christian values.
Doesn't Mikva believe we should all live in her interpretation of left-wing values?
One of the amazing traits of the left is the non-self-awareness.
These people, the narcissism is so deep on the left that they don't realize, well, isn't that how we think?
We want you to live, what are the words that she used?
Oh, in our interpretation of left-wing, of progressive values.
So he would like us all to live by his interpretation of Christian values.
I'll bet you his interpretation of Christian values is unbelievably similar to my interpretation of Jewish values.
I'll bet you!
The Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, asserts, That elected officials should look to Scripture when making policy.
Quote, because every problem we have in America has a solution in the Bible.
So where does she look for?
I look for solutions in Scripture.
That's why I'm working my tail off for years and years to write my commentary on the first five books of the Bible.
I do believe there are more answers there than in Howard Zinn.
There are more answers there than in the New York Times editorial page, but I'll bet she doesn't think that.
Professor of Jewish Studies, that cracks me up.
Boy, Dan Patrick, the chutzpah, to think that we should look to scripture when making policy.
That is Christian white nationalism gone crazy.
It's the hate that they publish in USA Today on a regular basis from academics.
In taking America back for God, Christian nationalism in the United States, Andrew Whitehead, and I still don't know, what is Christian nationalism?
What is it?
Have you ever met a Christian nationalist?
It doesn't even make sense, Christian nationalism, because Christianity is not a nationalist movement.
Christianity is a religious movement.
Okay, Christian nationalism.
Andrew Whitehead and Samuel Perry define Christian nationalism as a collection of myths, traditions, symbols, narratives, and value systems that idealizes and advocates a fusion of Christianity with American civic life.
It includes assumptions of nativism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and heteronormativity.
Really?
It includes white supremacy?
Wow.
God, I've been to pastors in Pew's conference.
I somehow missed the white supremacy.
Not to mention the number of black pastors there.
They must have missed it too.
What did I say?
God, it's mind-boggling.
Really, it's hatred.
It's anti-Christian hatred.
Bigots.

Tackling the climate crisis at home and abroad.
Yes, the country with the largest military capabilities with nuclear weapons is now back to fighting the climate.
Just as I explained to you on a prior program when I was asked to run an exercise with colonels and half-bird colonels from the Obama administration, they, too, half of the cohorts in that exercise, said that the climate was our biggest enemy.
Well, here's the new Secretary of Defense.
The Department will immediately take appropriate policy actions.
To prioritize climate change considerations in our activities and risk assessments to mitigate this driver of insecurity.
So I'm curious, does Secretary Austin, retired general, know what the biggest impact on the weather is?
On the climate?
Because it's not man-made.
Whatever impact man has on the environment is...
Negligible, truly fractal in proportion to the effect that a large yellow fireball in the sky has on our climate.
yes the Sun along with the moon a little bit but mostly the Sun has a larger effect on our environment than anything humans or flatulent cows have keep up with what's trending subscribe on YouTube today
turning now on the Charlie Kirk show you guys are not going to believe what is going on in Illinois right now Shocking that I have to say that.
It's that bad, you guys.
It's beyond your wildest belief.
So, recently, the Illinois State Board of Education approved this new rule for statewide curriculum mandates called the Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards.
And right now, it's pending before the Illinois General Assembly and will be voted on on February 16th to put into all curriculum for K-12 schools in Illinois.
But essentially, it's a new law that forces teachers to, in their words, embrace and encourage progressive viewpoints and That's, you know, fancy buzzwords, but what does that actually mean?
Essentially, teachers are mandated by law to discuss current political controversies in class.
They have to organize what they call action civics, which are field trips, student protests, lobbying expeditions on behalf of causes like gun control or the Green New Deal.
They have to admit that there's unlimited numbers of genders.
Hi, everybody.
I'm Dennis Prager, reading to you a true hate piece, hatred of Christians and lies, and it's just hate, by a professor, Rachel Mikva, Chicago Theological Seminary.
This is the hatred that they teach there, apparently.
And she's welcome to come on the show.
In fact, any five people!
At the same time, from the Chicago Theological Seminary to defend the lies, attacks, bigotry, prejudice, and hate in this woman's article.
So, I'm on in Chicago.
Somebody pass the word to the Chicago Theological Seminary.
Your name has been sullied by this Rachel Mikva.
Okay?
If you don't disown this article...
Your Chicago Theological Seminary looks bad.
Really, really bad.
I'm sorry?
They promoted it on their website?
Okay, there you go.
So it's a hate organization.
If you want to list a hate organization, it's the Chicago Theological Seminary for putting up this piece of anger and lies.
God Almighty!
The audacity, the lieutenant governor of Dan Patrick of Texas, that elected officials should look to scripture when making policy, quote, because every problem we have in America has a solution in the Bible.
Gee, I pretty much believe that too.
People follow the biblical values, we have a much better society.
For example, people would more likely have fathers in their lives because the Bible promotes marriage.
Next example.
Oh, they already did that one, yes.
So, they quote this Christian nationalism, which is dativism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and heteronormativity.
Along with divine sanction for authoritarian control and militarism.
So she quotes a left-wing hate book to prove her point.
Isn't that awesome?
This goes for scholarship at the Chicago Theological Seminary.
The agenda is not always explicit.
When Senator Ted Cruz talks of restoring America, he means to recover what he believes is its original identity as a Christian nation.
Historian, first of all, Christians that I know always say Judeo-Christian, just for the record.
But even if they want to say Christian, why do I care?
Happens to be Christians founded this country, the freest country, and if she's a Jew, which I assume she is, she should be sending flowers to these people for making the best society Jews have ever lived in.
I taught Jewish history at Brooklyn College, written books on it.
I don't know if I know more than her about Jewish history, but I suspect we're at least tied.
I certainly know more about Judaism than she does.
When Senator Ted Cruz talks of restoring America, he means to recover what he believes it's his original identity as a Christian.
We've really done well as a secular place, haven't we?
Just for the record...
Right?
I mean, it's just been terrific.
The people who have no God or religion in their lives, they're just a happier bunch of people.
There are no consequences to the death of Christianity.
This is the fools at the Chicago Theological Seminary.
Why do they call themselves a seminary?
It's such a joke.
Really, it's a joke when you think about it.
It's a secular seminary in the guise of a religious seminary.
Historian John Fee argues that Cruz's outlook reflects the Seven Mountains dominionism of his father.
I know his father, by the way.
One of the sweetest human beings I've ever had the honor of knowing.
A conviction that Christians are called by God to exercise dominion over every aspect of society.
Wait a minute.
Don't they want the left to have dominion over every aspect of society?
Why is it kosher for the left?
While Cruz is too politically savvy to endorse Dominion theology outright, he uses code words...
Are you ready for...
This is the perverse article that this is.
Cruz is too politically savvy to endorse Dominion theology, so he uses code words like religious liberty.
That's a code word!
Religious liberty is a code word!
For dominion theology.
Oh my God.
Every paragraph has a lie in it.
It is a long-term strategy articulated decades ago by a leader in the Christian Reconstructionist movement, Gary North.
He argued that Christians must use the doctrine of religious liberty to advance their agenda, hoping to raise up children, quote, who know that there is no religious neutrality, no neutral law, no neutral education, and no neutral civil government.
Anyway, I don't know who he is, so we're going to go on.
I do not wish to emulate QAnon enthusiasts in projecting a deep state conspiracy, but there are Christian nationalists embedded throughout our governing institutions.
Did you know that?
But she doesn't believe in a conspiracy theory like QAnon.
Courts, military, legislatures, agencies...
Police.
Many are regular figures at the Capitol and in the halls of power.
Distracted by those ready to bring on the apocalypse, we have not adequately exposed this more resilient threat to religious pluralism in the United States.
Do you have any idea what she's talking about?
Most people have never heard of Project Blitz, for example.
I'm one of them.
I admit it.
But it was responsible for at least 75 bills in 2018 that advance Christian nationalism.
They have a playbook developed by the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation with model legislation designed to privilege "traditional Judeo-Christian religious values and beliefs in the public sphere." I'm all for that.
I would love to have traditional Judeo-Christian religious values and beliefs in the public square.
Yeah?
The term Judeo-Christian here is a perverse appropriation of Judaism deployed as a cover for Christian exclusivism.
She knows...
Oh, God.

I often wonder if people have the ability to be objective enough to look at actual data and be truthful about things like the way Democrat-led states have responded to coronavirus and how Republican-led states have done so.
For example, Florida.
You know, I go a little bit back and forth between the state of Florida and New York.
So I get to see how both states are responding to COVID with lockdowns, shutdowns, or some semblance of normalcy.
There is a semblance of normalcy in Florida that there is not in New York.
So it's really pretty stunning to look at the difference between the way the two states and the two communities really have responded to this pandemic.
But have you looked at the data?
Because to listen to the mainstream media, Ron DeSantis is just some wild, out-of-control lunatic who has totally botched Florida's coronavirus response.
But Andrew Cuomo, on the other hand, is Mother Teresa and has done everything perfectly and the numbers are great and everything's wonderful in New York.
And of course, nothing could be further From the truth.
If you put on a chart the deaths per capita, the illness, the infection rate, the economy, if you lay it all on a chart and compare Florida to California and New York,
It's not even a close call.
And I don't mean just...
Hi, everybody. everybody.

It's just hate in its lies.
Christian nationalism.
The audacity of Christians to want the country to be based on Christian values.
I'm a Jew.
I wish this country were based on Christian values.
Do a lot better than based on left-wing values.
Would you say?
By the way, just for the record, my fellow Jews, when Christianity died in Europe, we didn't get Boy Scouts.
We got fascists, communists, and Nazis.
Just for the record.
And what do you think is going to happen in America when Christianity dies?
Think it'll be sweet people, like Rachel Mikva?
Huh?
The record of Christianity's demise and what follows it in the West ain't a pretty one.
Oh, stupid ones in academia.
What do you do if you're deep and you're in academia?
Do you hide your depth?
I guess so.
Because it's like a strike against you.
Ben in Harvey's Lake, Pennsylvania.
I'd like to live in a place like Harvey's Lake.
How about paying a community to follow the Ten Commandments for one month and see the results?
Ben?
That is one of the great ideas.
With all this money around, let's do that.
We'll pay you to live by the Ten Commandments.
I love it.
I love it.
Okay.
Anyway, Stan, Jeremy, David, Marco, Dawn, Joe.
I wish I could take all your calls, but it is what it...
Oh, yes.
Dawn in California.
This woman would never write a similar article about a mullah wanting to spread Sharia law.
God, is that ever correct?
Well, it's important that I bring this stuff to your attention.
By the way, that is the reason I am writing the Rational Bible.
This is now five years, six years of intense writing.
I am sending in this week the third volume of my five volume.
Rational Bible of the first five volumes, the Torah.
And it's Deuteronomy, the hardest of the five books, I think.
Please pre-order it.

Legislative bill.
State legislative bill.
And they're doing everything they can to bring this to the national level and essentially implement it as part of Common Core for all public schools nationwide.
This is in addition to critical race theory, which is already a problem in Chicago.
Oh, it's terrible.
If you guys aren't familiar with the 1619 project from the New York Times, that's among the most woke curriculum you could possibly imagine.
But that's already been implemented to all Chicago public schools.
So this is in addition to that reality.
This is statewide stuff.
This would be statewide for the state of Illinois.
This would be in District 211. This would be all across the state of Illinois.
And you might ask, what happens if a teacher, a bold, brave teacher who's rational, says no?
So they get their teaching license taken away.

He's been in office for about five or six days.
What are your thoughts?
He doesn't seem to be very much in control of the situation, but he has been very vigorous in signing a blizzard of executive orders, all of which seem to me thoroughly destructive.
The business about climate change, the executive orders on oil leasing and fracking.
Of course, he's suspended.
He got rid of the 1776 Commission.
He's doing all the bad stuff we warned people that he would do.
And at some point, you've got to ask, isn't this going to have a very bad effect on America?
A little part of me wishes that it does, because I think we have to open the eyes of the American people to what moving in a socialist direction means.
So, yes, I think we're off to a very bad start.
It's what we warned about, and we're about to see the fruits of it.
Well, but Dinesh, we're healing.
He's reaching out to the other side and urging everybody, To heal.
I recall when President Trump was campaigning, Dinesh, as you know, one of the big applause lines was, lock her up, lock her up.
One of the first things he did was to say, I'm not going to pursue her.
Quote, she suffered enough and he felt he wanted to concentrate on his own agenda.
When is Biden going to pick up the phone, Dinesh, and call Schumer and call Pelosi and say, call off the dogs?
This is an idiotic trial and we shouldn't be wasting the American people's time with it.
Well, the very fact that they're pushing ahead with it, I mean, it looks like they may have up to five Republican votes, not even necessarily five for conviction, five just for hearing it.
And the other 45 would have thrown it straight out.

You voted yesterday against proceeding with the impeachment trial.
Why?
This is an unprecedented impeachment trial, as you know.
Never has it happened before in American history.
And there's no clear path forward in the Constitution or laws themselves.
As you know, the Chief Justice is not presiding.
The Constitution provides that when the President of the United States is tried in a court of impeachment, the Supreme Court Chief Justice shall preside.
There is one contrary...
Example from the 19th century when a former Secretary of War was tried, but I believe many senators changed their mind about jurisdiction thereafter.
Do you believe it's constitutional to try former officials?
Well, as you know, in Federalist 65, Hamilton says that impeachment is really different than anything else, and it's essentially a political process.
But I think just from a prudential standpoint, even if you would say that This is permissible.
I think it's a terrible idea and a terrible precedent.
This means that if a Democratic majority in the House and Senate can try a former Republican president, it means a Republican majority in the House and the Senate could try a previous Democrat president.
I think that's a terrible idea, and we shouldn't do it.

This is a brand new book.
How do we turn our seasons around?
Because a lot of us are going through tough seasons.
I'm going through a slump right now.
I'm hitting 220 and that's just not right.
I remember when the media would write me off and say, well, you know, he's having a first half of the season.
That's not so good.
But they forgot I have 82 ballgames left.
You have a whole second half of your season.
Okay, now we've been in the middle of a struggle, crisis in this nation, and the season has to turn around.
You have to go through a period.
We might be going through like eight months, nine months, but at the end of the day, we walk into 2021, and you have to think about a fresh outlook, and I think that's what life is really all about.
That's just the way God works.
God works in some mysterious ways.
He works in your life to meet you right where you're at.
And I think we're all in the same boat today.
And, you know, for me to have a book that comes out, Turn Your Season Around, we're all going to have to turn our season around.
How God transformed your life.
He transformed your life if you meet Him right where He's at.
You know, the thing about it is, what I laugh about a lot of people say, well, how did you find Jesus?
Well, Jesus has never been lost.
We are the ones that were lost.
We are the ones that have to turn our season around.
And he just meets us right in the midst of our season.
And he brings us to a greater understanding and the purpose of why he created us.
And that's the cool thing about having a relationship with God.
The Bible is full of stories of, you know, the Israelites up against the Red Sea.
Their season was over.
And then, you know, God turned their season around.
