	Oh, man.
	Hello, my friends.
	I'm Dennis Prager.
	I'm not sure.
	To say that it is good to be with you is to understate the case.
	That's fair.
	Some philosophical thoughts to open the day on this Groundhog Day.
	One of my favorite films ever made.
	The film is genius and you laugh and you think and I wonder if that movie could be made today.
	And I'll tell you why.
	The left has made it that you cannot be honest about the human condition.
	His wooing of her, I wonder if that would be deemed in some way sexist or offensive.
	Right?
	learning everything about her and figuring out how to say the right thing on the next Groundhog Day because every day repeats itself.
	We had him on the show.
	He's a fan of the show and we're a fan of his.
	I haven't seen it in a while.
	Probably worth doing.
	So I said opening up with some...
	Philosophy of life here.
	So, every one of you has been touched by tragedy.
	It is not possible to be a human being and not be touched by tragedy.
	That's the nature of life.
	In fact, the chapter in my happiness book is that I have a tragic view of life, and that is one of the reasons I'm happy, because It enables me to appreciate, you know, my old saw, if nothing's horrific, life is terrific.
	Because, why do I have that saying?
	Because I know that it is so much part of the fabric of life.
	Suffering and pain and tragedy.
	The left has always been, since the French Revolution, And to the present, the left has always been utopian.
	What does that mean?
	That means it doesn't accept the fact that life is inherently tragic.
	So that, to put it in American terms, if life isn't working out for anyone, for me or for anyone else, it is because not of life.
	And certainly not of one's own contribution to one's own misery, but America.
	This is the essence of the left, immaturity.
	Every leftist has immature, childlike thinking.
	And that is devastating to the society.
	You cannot survive.
	When people don't grow up.
	Now, there are people on the left who have grown up in other ways.
	The human being is a complex creature.
	But in terms of understanding life and appreciating what life is about, they're children.
	The sooner you understand that life is filled with tragedy, it is inherent to it.
	The more you realize that, the more you appreciate America.
	Isn't that interesting?
	Right?
	So these are very important aspects of what is going on, is the appreciation of the inevitability of suffering.
	Would you play, Sean, if you could find Robert F. Kennedy, you know, I dream of this and you dream of that.
	We all dream for ice cream.
	This is his statement, which the left is crazy about.
	It's music.
	Beethoven's seventh doesn't do more for me than this statement of Robert F. Kennedy did for people on the left about dreaming things that never were.
	I don't.
	I dream to continue the incremental approach to making a better society that is part of the human condition and part of America, understanding that you incrementally make a better society.
	Where did I learn that from?
	I learned that from the Bible.
	People who are steeped in the Bible know two things.
	They know many things, but two of the things they know are the inherent tragic nature of life, and that the only approach to making a better world is incremental.
	That's why the Bible did not fully ban slavery.
	It just had a series of laws like you cannot return an escaped slave to his owner.
	Imagine that?
	That's really, that was promulgated 3,000 years ago.
	You cannot return a slave to his owner.
	Ten Commandments do not steal.
	Most people don't know, so I suggest that you pick up the Rational Bible, the Exodus book, which explains the Ten Commandments, and the original understanding of do not steal is do not steal, People.
	You cannot steal people.
	That would have ended the transatlantic slave trade before it began, had people listened to that.
	Not to understand the inherent tragedy of life is to enter the world of destruction.
	So that you actually believe that Abraham Lincoln was not a good man.
	Do you understand how bad the left is?
	That in San Francisco they have taken down the name Lincoln from schools in San Francisco?
	Lincoln.
	Why not?
	So why such a stupid statement?
	Truly, I don't want to say even stupid.
	Why such a naive, utopian statement?
	Which means nothing.
	What does it mean?
	Who has dreamt things that aren't?
	What does that mean?
	What is there to dream that isn't?
	That the lion will lie down with the lamb?
	Yes, that's a dream that isn't, but that's understood to be in God's time.
	It's another point of the Bible.
	It's not utopian.
	There will be a time when the lion will lie down with the lamb, but...
	That is not available to us.
	So why did they love this line?
	Because he was handsome and because he was articulate.
	He had style.
	The left loves style.
	So John Kennedy has orgies in the White House.
	And the guy is an idol of...
	Both the liberal and the left.
	And whereas Donald Trump, whatever he did was before he was president, and for that he has been excoriated.
	Do you know that I actually read a book a couple of months ago by a 19, I think she was 19, 19-year-old, who sort of on...
	What is it?
	Intern?
	I guess.
	I don't know if she was an intern, if that was the official word.
	I don't know how I came across it, but she was a regular lover of the president when such things were possible.
	And the book was riveting.
	It was completely unsalacious.
	The woman wrote a thoughtful book.
	And I was riveted by it.
	But it was just understood.
	This is the way he operates.
	And I'm not saying anything.
	I believe that the public should not know about people's private lives unless it's involved in some evil.
	If somebody raped somebody, that's a different question.
	But they had style.
	Why did the left love adore John F. Kennedy Jr., who, with no ill intentions at all, achieved nothing in the macro, might have been a wonderful human being?
	Because he was handsome and had style.
	The statement you just heard from Robert F. Kennedy embodies the left.
	So they dream a society of essentially no problems.
	That's what he was saying.
	I would like you to dream of something.
	Give it to me again, John.
	I want to analyze this because when you think about it, it's very difficult to explain.
	But that is what you are seeing unfolding.
	this immature thinking of society.

	Numbers matter.
	And think about the fact that they always tout the popular vote as opposed to the electoral college.
	That's why every vote matters.
	Even if you're in California, like yourself, Victor in Maryland, every single vote matters.
	And this is why you never give up.
	It's not an excuse, but you're absolutely right from the historical perspective.
	Politics is cyclical.
	It truly is cyclical.
	You get a Reagan because of a Carter.
	That's absolutely true.
	You get a Donald Trump because of what?
	Because of the betrayal of the American people by both sides of the political aisle.
	So the idea that simply because they managed to do what they did in November, that that's it.
	We're done.
	Absolutely not.
	Think about one thing and one thing alone.
	How did they treat Donald Trump when he came down those escalators?
	And I don't mean just the left.
	I don't mean the late-night talk show hosts, the quote-unquote comedians.
	I mean the right.
	The establishment.
	Do you remember?
	And what happened?
	He trounced them all.
	Even after the Billy Bush tape, he was a force of nature.
	That's the attitude I want to see in all Americans.
	Be more like Donald Trump.
	Never, ever give up!
	Because that's what being an American is to me.

	And so this is talked about sometimes in conservative circles as the Davos agenda or as the kind of globalist agenda.

	This is where you'll have the Bill Gateses of the world, the Jeff Bezos of the world, the heads of state from around the world gather, and they basically say, how can we destroy sovereignty of our nations?
	How can we try and have free flow of people and make ourselves more important?
	Now, we have gone into great detail in this program.

	What the Great Reset is where they do not want people to own property.
	You will eat less meat.
	I kid you not.
	That's part of the list.
	And you're going to be happier.

	Left-wing thinking is not childlike.
	It is childish.

	You're a living witness to that fact.
	The reason I love being corrected is I never want to persevere in doing something mistaken.
	That's why I have so many editors for my work.
	It's one of the reasons that it's good stuff.

	And this is not a boast.
	It is simply a way of approaching life that is healthy for everybody.
	But we live in the age of instant hurt.
	And that too is childish.

	I should write up the childish traits of the left.
	Ironically, there are images of things that didn't exist.
	I mean, you know, when Isaiah the prophet says 2,500 years ago, nations shall not lift sword against nation, and they shall not learn war anymore.
	Obviously, that never existed.
	So there you have, if you will, a dream.
	But the Bible doesn't negate the idea that we can dream for wonderful things.
	It just doesn't believe that they are imminent or that failing that you have a society that should be torn down.
	Look, why are religious Jews and Christians?
	backing America in the left versus America battle.
	Why is that?
	It's an interesting question.
	I would like leftists to answer.
	It obviously reinforces their loathing for People who take the Bible seriously.

	I can't read them all.
	There are articles that have thousands of comments.

	Look at that.
	This was a comment by a reader of the New York Times in the New York Times.
	Okay, so let's see.
	Oh, it's to Bret Stephens' column that the left has gone too far.
	Trumpians studied with no teachers if they study anything at all.
	Hence, they grew up with their own value system.
	That manifested in their finest...
	See, this is how the left...
	They live in a make-believe world, but that's not why I'm reading this to you.
	Now listen to the last line of this man's comment in the New York Times.
	I guess the sensible people of this country will get their children educated by our wonderful teachers.
	Learn real science and not seven-day creation as Pence did.
	In the final analysis, what the left most hates is, in fact, the Judeo-Christian world.
	So this is so interesting that this guy, notice out of nowhere, he ends his comment with, we won't learn seven days of creation like Pence did.
	And I have always thought, always, why does it bug leftists that people believe that God created the world in seven days?
	Actually, six days.
	Created the Sabbath on the seventh day, but that's another issue.
	Why does it bug them?
	Can you tell me anything bad that emanates from that belief?
	Now, I happen to believe that the world is...
	Billions of years old.
	And I believe that this is a metaphor, the use of the word day.
	So I'm not a literalist in that regard.
	But it doesn't matter.
	I respect the literalist.
	I've never figured out.
	I know a lot of people who believe in seven days creation.
	They're spectacular people.
	They go to the doctor.
	If the kid gets sick, they bring their kid to the emergency room.
	Can you tell me, what is the downside of believing that there is a God who created the world in seven days?
	What is the downside?
	They don't believe in science?
	That's absurd.
	It's a stupid comment by stupid people.
	How has it adversely affected Mike Pence?
	If indeed he does believe in six days creation, literally, how does it adversely affect his grasp on life?
	May I offer this possibility that people who say men menstruate are far more out of it and dangerous to the world than people who say God created the world in seven days.
	So this guy is anybody on the left who preaches the absurdity The alleged absurdity of believing that God created the world in seven days, I think that they need to look at, what is it, the mote in their eye?
	Right?
	Oh, that's absurd.
	But men give birth and men menstruate.
	Oh, I see.
	Right.
	And America was founded in 1619. Now, that's a lie.
	That God created the world in six days is a belief.
	It's not a lie.
	But it's a lie what is taught to your children about the founding of America from the New York Times.
	That's just plain lie.
	The left wrote the book on lying.
	This is what bugs them, though.
	They hate us.
	There's an article in, where was it?
	USA Today?
	By that professor of religious studies, one of the most obscene pieces, just obscene.
	The hatred of Christians in this country, on the part of many, is a phenomenon to behold.
	And this is a Jew telling you that.

	That's just the way God works.
	God works in some mysterious ways, and He works in your life to meet you right where you're at, and I think we're all in the same boat.
	And, you know, for me to have a book that comes out, Turn Your Season Around, we're all going to have to turn our season around.
	How God transformed your life.
	He transformed your life if you meet Him right where He's at.
	You know, the thing about it is, what I laugh about a lot of people say, well, how did you find Jesus?
	Well, Jesus has never been lost.
	We are the ones that were lost.
	We are the ones that have to turn our season around.
	And He just meets us right in the midst of our season.
	And he brings us to a greater understanding and the purpose of why he created us.
	And that's the cool thing about having a relationship with God.
	The Bible is full of stories of, you know, the Israelites up against the Red Sea.
	Their season was over.
	And then, you know, God turned their season around.

	I often wonder if people have the ability to be objective enough to look at actual data and be truthful about things like the way Democrat-led states have responded to coronavirus and how Republican-led states have done so.
	For example, Florida.
	You know, I go a little bit back and forth between the state of Florida and New York, so I get to see how both states are responding to COVID with lockdowns, shutdowns, or some semblance of normalcy.
	There is a semblance of normalcy in Florida that there is not in New York.
	So it's really pretty stunning to look at the difference between the way the two states...
	And the two communities, really, have responded to this pandemic.
	But have you looked at the data?
	Because to listen to the mainstream media, Ron DeSantis is just some wild, out-of-control lunatic who has totally botched Florida's coronavirus response.
	But Andrew Cuomo, on the other hand, is Mother Teresa.
	And has done everything perfectly, and the numbers are great, and everything's wonderful in New York.
	And of course, nothing could be further from the truth.
	If you put on a chart the deaths per capita, the illness, the infection rate, the economy, if you lay it all on a chart and compare Florida to California, And New York?
	It's not even a close call.

	I just started saying hi, and I knew that between or in the course of one of them, my mic would go on, and I was right.
	The ability to predict the future is not given to all.

	There was something, ironically, that was envisioned that didn't exist before.
	I have to be completely open and honest here.
	They didn't use the language, although they hinted at it.
	The founders of the United States wanted to create a society where the individual was more important than the state and was free.
	That is the only new thing since monotheism 3,000 years ago.
	You have no idea how much the founders were rooted.
	In the Old Testament, specifically the Torah, like the Liberty Bell, has one verse on it, one sentence on it.
	It's from the Torah, from the first five books.
	Those five books, the one I'm writing my commentary on, that is the basis of Judaism, Christianity, and the West.
	Those five books, Love Your Neighbors, Yourself, The Ten Commandments, The Exodus, Creation, everything is there.
	So they developed something new.
	A place where the individual was of paramount significance.
	And the state was not.
	The state's job was to preserve liberty.
	The French Revolution hated that idea.
	The Russian Revolution hated that idea.
	And the left in America hates that idea.
	It was a revolution.
	We are undergoing, or if you will, a counter-revolution.
	Freedom means nothing to the left.
	Nothing.
	Except for certain individual freedoms like abortion.
	That's pretty much it.
	That's where freedom for the left ends.
	The state is the all-knowing All good.
	Do you, Sean, have the statement from the Democratic Convention, the only thing all Americans have in common is the government?
	That's one of the Hall of Fame lines.

	I was at the Democratic Convention when that announcement was made.

	Ron DeSantis is a Republican, so therefore has to be portrayed as some kind of a yahoo.
	And Cuomo, who it was literally revealed yesterday, under-reported COVID deaths in nursing homes by around 50%.
	He gets the victory lap.
	He gets the book deal.
	He gets the Emmy Award.
	These clowns, even when they're faced with horrific news, like the Attorney General in New York and her scathing report,
	Showing the disastrous response by Cuomo with his mandate that nursing homes must take COVID-19 infected people, which sent thousands and thousands of elderly people to their deaths?
	Well, here's CNN's take.
	Last night, honest to goodness, this came down at like 8 o'clock at night.
	Headline by Chris Saliza.
	CNN editor at large.
	Analysis.
	Andrew Cuomo's COVID-19 performance may have been less stellar than it seemed.
	May have been less stellar.
	They lied about how many people died in nursing homes because they were desperate to try to cover up Andrew Cuomo's A botched response to COVID. Well,
	I think people are being very loose with their language here.
	The president's been impeached for inciting an insurrection, which has a very technical meaning.
	But we know that there's a lot of loose language here in Washington, D.C. I think about Chuck Schumer over at the Supreme Court saying that to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, I said, you'll never know what hit you.
	Maxine Waters telling...
	I think we just need to realize that we need to temper our speech here because there are people who will take it perhaps much farther than anybody ever intended.
	But I don't believe the president intended to incite violence.
	I do believe he intended to try to influence the Congress during the certification of the electoral vote.
	But I don't think you can also impeach somebody for Speech that is protected by the First Amendment, which this may well be under Brandenburg versus Ohio.
	I've talked about that already, so I won't go over that.
	What Jake also said, Bill Clinton was impeached while he was in office, and the trial occurred when he was in office.
	Donald Trump, it's just factually different.
	And when journalists wade into the law, often they embarrass themselves.
	Yeah, I agree with that.
	And I don't know whether Jake thought that impeachment of Clinton was a good idea or not, or he's just citing that as an example where somebody lies under oath.
	This is not lying under oath.

	Of religious Christians and religious Jews with what we call fundamentalist beliefs, which I do not use as a negative, who believe that God created the world in seven days, literally days.
	Okay?
	I have yet to understand why that matters to people.
	So it matters to Gabe in Denver.
	He thinks it really shows something negative, to understate it, about a person.
	We left with my asking you, what exactly is the price paid for that belief?
	Well, I'll just circle back because I was thinking about it during the break.

	But they loathe those of us who believe in this.

	I think people who believe that God created the world in seven days, six again to be more precise, but in seven days are closer to...
	Truth than people who believe the world came about on its own.
	Now, again, I believe the billions of years.
	I believe in the long period theory or whatever it might be.
	But so what?
	I believe God created the world.
	I am closer to those people than I am to the people Who say it all came about by itself.
	The belief that there is no creator, that has consequences, far more consequences than the belief that the creator made the world in seven days.
	Because if you don't believe in the creator, then you don't believe that we are endowed with inalienable rights, right?
	Declaration of Independence.
	We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
	No Creator, no inalienable rights.
	That's consequential.

	Yes, give us immunity to lawsuits, but we'll shut down whatever we differ with.
	So I always ask a question with this new notion that, oh, private enterprise can do what it wants.

	I mean, it doesn't get more absurd.

	The New York Times, which is a propaganda organ for the Democratic Party on the left has another, of course, they covering this.

	They dismissed the argument by David Schoen, one of Mr. Trump's lawyers, that the former president was merely exercising his First Amendment right to free speech.
	The managers argued that, on the contrary, By attacking the Constitution, Mr. Trump was in fact undermining all rights enshrined there, including free speech.
	Do you understand that?
	I read it twice and I don't understand it.
	How was he, first of all, how did he attack the Constitution?
	I suppose if he is fomenting an insurrection.
	Oh, by fomenting, he didn't foment insurrection.
	The only words we have of him with regard to the Capitol are, go and peacefully march there.
	You're allowed to peacefully march to the Capitol.
	There were hundreds of thousands of people.
	How many?
	Does anybody have the number of people who riotously entered the Capitol?
	I mean, from the photos, do we have 200?
	Is it 1,000?
	Do we have any idea?
	I mean, the irony is...
	So let me understand, all the riots of last year, the staggering number of them, including against government buildings, they were not in any way fomented by Democrats telling us how racist this country is, how systemically racist.
	They were not fomented by the media's irresponsible depiction of the death of George Floyd as racist murder.
	It may not have been murder, and we have no clue whether it was racist.
	So the New York Times is in no way responsible with its hysteria with regard to any one of these moments.
	Or Barack Obama mentioning Ferguson, Missouri, long after it was established that the white police officer did nothing wrong in the killing of Michael Brown, who was reaching for his gun.
	Reaching for the police officer's gun.

	They're not responsible for their speech.
	You raise a generation to believe the country is despicable, then people riot because they think it's despicable, but you're not responsible for that.
	But if the president says he thinks he was cheated in the election, ah, then he's worthy of impeachment even when he's out of office.
	They're going a little crazy on the left because they, without Trump around, They don't have their convenient target.

	What is depressing to me as a Jew is that she's a professor in Jewish studies, but the left has deeply poisoned much of Jewish life as it has Christian life.

	She hates Christians.
	That's what it is.
	The woman is a bigot, like almost everyone on the left.

	To use that as an example, he would like the country to what?

	Even if you're in California, like yourself, Victor in Maryland, every single vote matters.

	You voted yesterday against proceeding with the impeachment trial.
	Why?
	This is an unprecedented impeachment trial, as you know.
	Never has it happened before in American history.
	And there's no clear path forward in the Constitution or laws themselves.
	As you know, the Chief Justice is not presiding.
	The Constitution provides that when the President of the United States is tried in a court of impeachment, the Supreme Court Chief Justice shall preside.
	So this is kind of like making it up as we go along here, and I have some very serious concerns about the legitimacy of this whole process.
	Now, Senator Cornyn, I and Judge Littig and Alan Dershowitz and Professor Turley have argued for weeks now it is unconstitutional to try a former official, and it is not something we want to begin to do.
	There is one contrary...
	Example from the 19th century when a former Secretary of War was tried, but I believe many senators changed their mind about jurisdiction thereafter.
	Do you believe it's constitutional to try former officials?
	Well, as you know, in Federalist 65, Hamilton says that impeachment is really different than anything else, and it's essentially a political process.
	But I think just from a prudential standpoint, even if you would say that This is permissible.
	I think it's a terrible idea and a terrible precedent.
	This means that if a Democratic majority in the House and Senate can try a former Republican president, it means a Republican majority in the House and the Senate could try a previous Democrat president.
	I think that's a terrible idea, and we shouldn't do it.

	How God transformed your life.
	He transformed your life if you meet Him right where He's at.
	You know, the thing about it is, what I laugh about a lot of people say, well, how did you find Jesus?

	We are the ones that have to turn our season around.
	And he just meets us right in the midst of our season.
	And he brings us to a greater understanding and the purpose of why he created us.
	And that's the cool thing about having a relationship with God.

	Their season was over.
	And then, you know, God turned their season around.
