Dennis Prager Show - Dennis Prager's Reaction to the Capitol Breach Aired: 2021-01-07 Duration: 05:39 === The Capitol Riot's Impact (04:13) === [00:00:01] The riot in the capital of the United States of America was a gift to the left and the Democrats that even they would not have imagined could have happened. [00:00:17] It was beyond wrong. [00:00:20] Somebody once said about something, and I wish I remembered exactly, but it made a big impact on me many years ago when I read it. [00:00:28] It was worse than wrong. [00:00:30] It was stupid. [00:00:32] It was a mistake. [00:00:35] The injury to the cause is incalculable. [00:00:42] This will be constantly used as an excuse to morally defend the destruction of this country that we'll be engaged in further because the left has so much power. [00:00:54] That's it. [00:00:55] That's what they did. [00:00:58] Now, having said that, I will analyze why some of them, I can't speak for all of them, did this. [00:01:07] Which is, does not fall into the realm of tu comprends, si tu pardones. [00:01:15] That if you understand everything, you forgive everything. [00:01:18] No, not at all. [00:01:21] I don't think I could have condemned this in stronger terms. [00:01:26] I was so furious yesterday that for the promo of this show, I think it was the only promo I ever recorded in which I yelled. [00:01:37] I was so angry. [00:01:39] It happened at the very, very end of my show. [00:01:42] I didn't even know it was happening during the show. [00:01:43] I never watch television while I broadcast because my concentration cannot be diverted. [00:01:53] That's the way. [00:01:55] My mind works. [00:01:59] I had been saying the right doesn't riot. [00:02:08] The left riots. [00:02:11] This wasn't a riot in the sense of looting and burning, and that, by the way, is not insignificant. [00:02:18] There are gradations of evil, but it was made up for. [00:02:22] By the locale of where it took place. [00:02:27] When I see a picture of a guy sitting in Nancy Pelosi's chair, you know, yucking it up for the camera, I can't take this person seriously. [00:02:39] What can I tell you? [00:02:41] What cause are you actually advancing by doing that? [00:02:46] Smashing the glass of the U.S. Capitol? [00:02:49] My side? [00:02:54] The tarnishing of Donald Trump's legacy with these scenes. [00:03:07] I wonder, I would love to ask them, did you have this in mind when you came to Washington? [00:03:17] Was this part of your thinking? [00:03:20] I will break down the windows of the United States Capitol and take over offices there. [00:03:30] I don't know the answer to that. [00:03:34] Now, having said that, I spoke to people... [00:03:39] This was very... [00:03:41] It was eye-opening to me. [00:03:43] I spoke to people who are not supporting it morally. [00:03:49] Supported it emotionally. [00:03:52] And I learned a great deal. [00:03:56] My dear friends, there are tens upon tens of millions of Americans, basically half of the United States, that feels that every institution in the country has contempt for them. === The Best Unemployment Rate Ever (01:39) === [00:04:13] And they're right. [00:04:17] But you don't hear from them because the institutions that have contempt for these Americans, which is basically half this country, the deplorables, if you will, don't report it. [00:04:33] The media considers Trump supporters to be rabble, including the intellectuals among them, Victor Davis Hanson or Larry Elder. [00:04:49] Or any other names. [00:04:52] Or me. [00:04:53] Or more or less Ben Shapiro, even though he was an anti-Trump guy in the beginning. [00:04:59] I was an anti-Trump guy in the beginning, too. [00:05:02] But not once he ran for office. [00:05:05] By the way, he did a great job as president. [00:05:07] That's the irony. [00:05:10] He accomplished more good than any president of my lifetime. [00:05:17] But it doesn't matter. [00:05:19] Oh, so he brought peace between Israel and four Arab countries. [00:05:23] So what? [00:05:24] Oh, he had the best unemployment rate in 50 years and the best unemployment rate for black Americans ever. [00:05:35] Ever since they've been recording these things. [00:05:38] So what?
