Dennis Prager Show - When Fitness and Health Get Political... Aired: 2020-12-29 Duration: 06:03 === Selling to Netflix (06:03) === [00:00:00] But once it comes out, it will be out on iTunes. [00:00:04] It'll be on Amazon, Amazon Prime, Vimeo. [00:00:07] It's going to be on 65 different VODs around the world. [00:00:12] But here's where it won't be. [00:00:15] It won't be on Hulu. [00:00:16] It won't be on Netflix. [00:00:18] It won't be on any of those. [00:00:20] And here's why. [00:00:22] Let's say I sold my movie to Netflix, which is a possibility. [00:00:27] I could have gone right there. [00:00:29] And collected a huge check from Netflix, and they would take my movie. [00:00:34] But there's no guarantee. [00:00:35] Once they do it, I can't put it on all of those other VODs. [00:00:39] I can't put it on iTunes or Amazon Prime or anywhere else. [00:00:43] They now have complete control of my movie because they gave me a huge check. [00:00:47] Now, most people would love that huge check, right? [00:00:51] But not me. [00:00:52] And here's why. [00:00:54] Once they have it... [00:00:55] If there's anyone there who's against meat, someone that might be associated with PETA or that real vegan stronghold, they don't care about giving me a check for whatever, a six-figure check. [00:01:12] What they care about is no one ever seeing that movie. [00:01:16] They can give me all of that money and then bury that movie. [00:01:20] Crazy, right? [00:01:21] But that's how far it goes. [00:01:23] I want to go back to—well, look, Netflix has become completely censorious. [00:01:32] It's frightening. [00:01:34] Another utterly damaging big company in the United States. [00:01:39] They refused No Safe Spaces, the political documentary of the year last year. [00:01:46] Which was excellent, by the way. [00:01:48] Thank you very much. [00:01:49] It is excellent. [00:01:50] I have no problem saying it, and I don't take credit for it even though I'm in it. [00:01:53] Anyway, that's a very bad, another bad road. [00:01:59] Big tech has gone down. [00:02:02] Back to you, though. [00:02:04] To the extent that you're free to mention it, I'd just like to understand, I asked you if you have been personally threatened. [00:02:12] Is this a rare thing? [00:02:14] Is this something that's somewhat constant? [00:02:21] For me, it's rare. [00:02:23] I think everyone looks at me as this weird kind of cowboy. [00:02:27] They know that I have a concealed carry. [00:02:30] You know, I'll make that very, very plain and out there. [00:02:34] I'm a gun enthusiast. [00:02:36] So I get left alone, but... [00:02:39] I'm not really left alone. [00:02:41] I do get threatened now and again, but... [00:02:44] I'll look around and look at what happened to M.D. and Ph.D. Professor Tim Noakes, who tweeted one tweet, and this was in South Africa. [00:02:58] They put him to a trial that cost the taxpayers millions of dollars. [00:03:03] He went hands down. [00:03:04] He tweeted to a mother who had taken her kid off of breast milk, wanted to know if it was okay. [00:03:13] What you should feed him. [00:03:14] And he said, you should feed that kid meat and vegetables. [00:03:17] And this was seen as a threat, because he had mentioned meat. [00:03:22] I know this sounds bizarre, and you might go, Vinnie, you're making this up, but Alan will be the first to tell you that this is absolutely true. [00:03:30] He won the first trial, hands down, after they spent millions. [00:03:35] And what did they do in South Africa? [00:03:37] They went after him a second time. [00:03:39] The same sort of thing happened to Dr. Gary Fetke over in Tasmania. [00:03:46] So if you think this is just the United States, it's not. [00:03:49] No, no, it's not. [00:03:50] It's anywhere they speak English. [00:03:52] Yeah. [00:03:53] So in Tasmania, this guy, he is a doctor who was chopping people's limbs off because they were getting type 2 diabetes, and of course, you know. [00:04:03] When the legs start accessing everything else, you have to cut limbs off. [00:04:07] He figured out that if you take people off of sugar and give them more meat, that he wouldn't have to operate anymore. [00:04:14] And he was told to stop doing that, and he wouldn't stop telling people to eat meat and to cut sugars out. [00:04:22] And they took his medical license away. [00:04:25] Because he was in my movie, Fatta Documentary 1, they've restored his license since then. [00:04:31] We don't know if we had anything to do with it, but here's a more bizarre. [00:04:35] Dr. Kent Barry, right here in the good old United States, his building, his doctor's office, was burned to the ground. [00:04:46] The fire marshals could not find how the fire was started. [00:04:50] It was a very hot fire, and they burned his building to the ground. [00:04:55] He wrote a book called Things Your Doctor Doesn't Want You to Know. [00:05:00] He also advocates for meat and less sugar, less grains. [00:05:05] If that's not bizarre enough, about four weeks after that fire, his home burned to the ground again. [00:05:12] They could not find anything. [00:05:14] They couldn't find how it got started. [00:05:17] The whole thing just incinerated. [00:05:19] So if you think this is Vinny just being paranoid or goofy or anything else, I don't think so. [00:05:27] I just gave you... [00:05:29] Three wonderful examples of how this happens all the time. [00:05:35] I have zero horses in this race. [00:05:41] Zero. [00:05:44] But everything I read leads me to believe that meat is good for you. [00:05:51] I have no great love of it. [00:05:54] I don't dislike it. [00:05:56] I'm neutral. [00:05:57] But I do care about your health and had you folks listen to me from the beginning about carbs.
