Dennis Prager Show - What Killed Michael Brown? Aired: 2020-12-01 Duration: 04:14 === Amazon's Rejection Letter (03:50) === [00:00:00] By the way, what did Amazon do to your documentary? [00:00:04] They canceled it. [00:00:07] They sent us a... [00:00:10] You know, I'm a writer. [00:00:13] I know about rejection letters. [00:00:15] This was a rejection letter that literally had hatred in it. [00:00:20] It had contempt for us. [00:00:22] It told us never to resubmit, never to... [00:00:27] Did not play around and change the title and sort of sneak in the back door. [00:00:33] It told us, you know, on and on it went. [00:00:39] So, I mean, they were just really brutal about it, and they canceled us. [00:00:46] Well, Wall Street Journal got wind of this. [00:00:49] Others did. [00:00:52] And the Wall Street Journal had a couple editorials on it. [00:00:56] Jason Reilly wrote a piece. [00:00:59] And they were embarrassed. [00:01:02] Because the documentary met every criterion they had. [00:01:08] The reviews that had come in before that were all very good. [00:01:14] Five out of five, so forth. [00:01:18] And so then, of course, we got a nice little phone call from some executive somewhere in the vast world of Amazon who said, oh, we made a mistake. [00:01:31] Oh, we made a mistake? [00:01:33] We made a mistake. [00:01:35] And did he or she specify what the mistake was? [00:01:41] No, no. [00:01:42] And I asked them, and they said, no, that's, you know, they put it off on somebody else, some other department. [00:01:49] They really meant to cancel Mein Kampf, but by accident, they did it to what killed Michael Brown. [00:01:59] Right, what killed Michael Brown, which maybe they got in the way with it, except their rejection letter was so personalized. [00:02:08] I wish you had it in front of you. [00:02:10] Yeah, it was ideological. [00:02:13] Of course. [00:02:14] The irony is, see, it's irrelevant to the left. [00:02:18] Back to your point about the weight of falsehood, they're crushed by the weight of falsehood. [00:02:24] Because they don't ask, is your documentary telling the truth? [00:02:27] They just ask, does it promote the leftist poetic fiction? [00:02:32] That's right. [00:02:33] That's right. [00:02:35] That's it. [00:02:38] But they did finally run, and so it is now streamed on Amazon, among other places. [00:02:47] How's it doing? [00:02:48] It's done very, very well. [00:02:49] In fact, the publicity helped it a little. [00:02:51] I would imagine. [00:02:52] Exactly right. [00:02:53] Prager, you got a big boost when some comedian took 10 minutes to crap on us. [00:03:00] It was a great boost. [00:03:02] We got a lot more fundraising. [00:03:05] That's right. [00:03:07] These people have no idea how helpful the publicity is. [00:03:12] So, do you, I'm sure you know, but I don't think most of my audience knows, Barack Obama mentioned Ferguson after it was known that Michael Brown was not killed because of racism or even police mistake. [00:03:30] Is that correct? [00:03:32] Yes. [00:03:33] Yes, and many, many other people still refer to it as if it was a given that Michael Brown was a victim of white racism. === Two Grand Juries Find Nothing (00:38) === [00:03:45] But his murder was investigated. [00:03:47] There were two different Justice Department investigations. [00:03:51] There were two different grand juries. [00:03:55] Which had blocks on them. [00:03:57] Right. [00:04:00] And they found absolutely nothing, not one shred of evidence anywhere, to suggest that this was racially motivated. [00:04:08] Keep up the great work. [00:04:09] You're a special man. [00:04:11] Shelby Steele's documentary is up at DennisPrager.com.
