Dennis Prager Show - Ann Coulter on Trump: Promises Made, Promises Broken Aired: 2020-11-02 Duration: 06:03 === Way Against Corporations (04:31) === [00:00:00] With mass immigration, they're going to have an insuperable majority. [00:00:04] After Obama won, Rudy Teixeira, one of the many Democrats who had bragged about ha-ha-ha, immigrants are turning the country blue, said, here it is. [00:00:16] I call it George McGovern's revenge. [00:00:19] Look at how Obama won. [00:00:21] He did not get a majority of historic Americans, but he got a huge majority of immigrants and of our usual base, minorities, women, divorcees, college professors. [00:00:35] So to stand out when Republicans are bad on immigration because their donors want the cheap labor and don't care what kind of country it is. [00:00:42] They really often are the way. [00:00:47] The way we don't like to think of big corporations. [00:00:49] This isn't small businessmen. [00:00:51] It's big corporations. [00:00:53] They don't care. [00:00:55] So that was the bravest position he took, in a way brave, by standing against the parties and the corporations and the donors. [00:01:02] But it was a piece of all of his populist issues, ending NATO, bringing manufacturing back. [00:01:09] We've lost something like, I think this is in Trump We Trust, About 20,000 manufacturing jobs since the early 90s. [00:01:22] I mean, we all know about opioids sweeping the nation. [00:01:27] It's just the working class and the middle class has been so run over by globalists and Wall Street and the two parties. [00:01:37] It was the populist issues that were so... [00:01:41] So stunning. [00:01:42] I mean, one issue, it seems like a small point. [00:01:44] It's not like it's going to pay the entire national debt, but the carried interest loophole or the tax loophole for hedge fund managers. [00:01:55] It was sort of stunning to me, actually, that Donald Trump was the only politician in either party who said that's unfair. [00:02:04] I'm sure your listeners have heard. [00:02:06] Warren Buffett going on about how outrageous it is that he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary. [00:02:13] And yes, he could pay more if he wanted to. [00:02:15] But the point is, he's right. [00:02:17] And why does he feel like he can do that? [00:02:20] Because he knows neither party, not the Republicans, not the Democrats, are going to touch that. [00:02:25] I don't know why the Republicans won't touch it. [00:02:27] They don't even get the money, the campaign money. [00:02:30] Wall Street gives all its money to the Democrats. [00:02:32] But on that stage, I just think... [00:02:35] We remember when Trump brought it up. [00:02:37] I think it was the very first debate. [00:02:38] And John Kasich jumped in and said, no, no, we need to keep it for capitalism and investment or some jackass response like that. [00:02:47] No, giving hedge fund guys a totally unfair loophole. [00:02:53] It has nothing to do with capitalism. [00:02:55] It has nothing to do with encouraging investments. [00:02:58] Donald Trump was the only person, the only politician who said he'd get rid of it. [00:03:02] Then he gets to office. [00:03:03] And hires Gary Cohn from Goldman Sachs. [00:03:06] Oh, no, no, no. [00:03:07] We need to keep this loophole. [00:03:09] I mean, that's just indicative of him turning his back when he got... [00:03:12] The day he was elected, I thought I never thought I'd see this day. [00:03:16] We have a president of the United States who got elected without a penny from Wall Street. [00:03:22] He owes them nothing! [00:03:25] And what was... [00:03:26] I know. [00:03:28] Let's turn the keys of the kingdom over to Wall Street. [00:03:31] Well, I shouldn't be bashing them. [00:03:32] There's still time to vote. [00:03:33] The other side is a disaster. [00:03:35] I'm terrified of the identity politics we're going to have. [00:03:38] I'd love to see the media weep. [00:03:40] They have been absolutely outrageous. [00:03:43] But I suppose it's clear I'm not hugely optimistic. [00:03:49] You're not hugely optimistic about his winning or you're not hugely optimistic about him? [00:03:53] Well, both. [00:03:55] Right. [00:03:56] I'm hugely optimistic about him. [00:03:58] But, you see, you're a voice that's necessary because you try to make sure that the ship stays in the direction that it should be headed. [00:04:09] And I appreciate that. [00:04:11] But given what he has accomplished, and what he has stopped, and what he has illuminated, I did not know, to be perfectly honest, I did not know the corruption. === The Swamp Is Real (01:46) === [00:04:23] At the highest echelons of the American government until Donald Trump. [00:04:27] The FBI is corrupt. [00:04:30] The CIA is corrupt. [00:04:32] The bureaucracy is corrupt. [00:04:34] The State Department is corrupt. [00:04:36] I did not know that. [00:04:38] Yes. [00:04:39] Yes, I agree. [00:04:40] The swamp is a real concept. [00:04:42] I am so grateful to Trump for giving us a word. [00:04:47] You can't understand things until you have a word for it. [00:04:52] Now we have the word, and yes, I completely agree with you. [00:04:55] Even after Trump's election, I didn't realize how bad the swamp was. [00:04:59] It's real. [00:05:00] That's our enemy. [00:05:02] I don't think the populist issues are going away. [00:05:06] And hopefully he will have sparks. [00:05:10] And on your passion issue, which I share, they have already announced, Biden has announced. [00:05:19] What is it, 11 million, 21 million? [00:05:22] I don't remember the number. [00:05:24] Pathway to citizenship of illegal immigrants. [00:05:26] Yes, yes. [00:05:28] There are a lot of terror scenarios with Biden and Kamala. [00:05:37] I mean, who knows how far they'll get in any of these endeavors, but they are angry. [00:05:43] They want truth and reconciliation commissions to investigate anyone who supported Trump, anyone on the other side. [00:05:50] I mean, you've seen them talking on TV. [00:05:52] They want to change the country fast. [00:05:54] They can't wait. [00:05:55] They can't just wait for immigration to change it for them. [00:05:59] All right, we'll be back in a moment. [00:06:01] Ann Coulter, I want to take your calls.
