Dennis Prager Show - Dennis Responds to Kamala Harris Aired: 2020-10-08 Duration: 06:12 === Considerably More Kids Killed (05:49) === [00:00:00] We did everything right, Susan. [00:00:01] We could still lose more than 200,000 Americans. [00:00:03] That's right, exactly. [00:00:04] That was my point to you. [00:00:06] When I said last hour, if there had been 100,000, she would go, 100,000 Americans, worst administration in history. [00:00:16] I wish he'd have pointed out how many we lost in 68, 69 and didn't shut down the society when kids were dying, which they're not now. [00:00:25] So I will get emails. [00:00:26] What are you talking about? [00:00:28] There was a kid in Detroit who died. [00:00:33] So one or two or three invalidates the point. [00:00:43] Considerably more kids are killed in car crashes than by COVID. Next, please. [00:00:49] Vice President Pence, you were in the front row in a Rose Garden event 11 days ago at what seems to have been a super spreader event for senior administration and congressional officials. [00:00:58] No social distancing, few masks, and now a cluster of coronavirus cases among those who were there. [00:01:05] How can you expect Americans to follow the administration's safety guidelines to protect themselves from COVID when you at the White House have not been doing so? [00:01:15] Okay. [00:01:16] Well, the American people have demonstrated He's now going to deal with the Rose Garden, but I have to say, I don't understand his answer. [00:01:41] Do you understand that answer? [00:01:45] Okay, thank you. [00:01:47] He did this repeatedly, and I think he was better than her, but he did it repeatedly. [00:01:51] He would say pablum and then make a great point. [00:01:54] And so then he'd be out of time as he's making his great point. [00:01:59] Okay, go on. [00:02:00] Now the answer to the Rose Garden question. [00:02:03] If I may say, that Rose Garden event, there's been a great deal of speculation about it. [00:02:07] My wife Karen and I were there, and honored to be there. [00:02:10] Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, actually were tested for coronavirus. [00:02:15] And it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists regularly and routinely advise. [00:02:20] The difference here is President Trump and I trust the American people to make choices in the best interest of their health. [00:02:29] Joe Biden and Kamala Harris consistently talk about mandates, and not just mandates with the coronavirus, but a government takeover of health care, the Green New Deal. [00:02:40] All government control. [00:02:42] We're about freedom and respecting the freedom of the American people. [00:02:44] Why don't he just say that without the beginning thing? [00:02:47] The American people are wonderful and da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-do. [00:02:52] Okay? [00:02:52] I don't want to be told I'm wonderful by any politician. [00:02:55] Okay? [00:02:56] It is of no interest to me whether you think I and the rest of the people are wonderful. [00:03:02] I hate Pablum. [00:03:04] From my side or the other side. [00:03:07] That is the point. [00:03:09] We don't want to take over your life. [00:03:11] We trust Americans to make good decisions. [00:03:14] That's the answer. [00:03:16] And it was outdoors. [00:03:18] It was a super spreader. [00:03:21] If it was a super spreader, how many people got hospitalized? [00:03:27] President is overweight and 74 and he's fine. [00:03:32] So then people, well, he got special treatment. [00:03:34] Okay, maybe so. [00:03:36] He wants the space he announced. [00:03:38] I want this treatment given to everybody, if that's what it takes. [00:03:45] But at least he's a living example of, whoa, it doesn't appear to be that serious in a lot of people who are otherwise candidates for very serious sickness or death. [00:04:04] That's right. [00:04:05] Next, please. [00:04:06] 80. The American people have had to sacrifice far too much because of the incompetence of this administration. [00:04:13] It is asking too much of the people. [00:04:15] Okay. [00:04:17] Right. [00:04:18] The incompetence of this administration. [00:04:21] What would they have done differently? [00:04:26] And why were there more deaths per million in places like Belgium? [00:04:30] Are they more incompetent in Belgium? [00:04:37] Just to give one example, the United States is eighth in per million deaths. [00:04:44] That's on the assumption, by the way, that the numbers are accurate. [00:04:47] We'll know, and I said truth is number one on this program. [00:04:52] So we will know, and we won't know by the end of this year, we'll know by the end of next year, how many excess deaths occurred this year. [00:05:03] Then I would say that... [00:05:04] That would be an accurate number of COVID. Not excess deaths because of highway collisions. [00:05:11] Even though they are up, oddly enough. [00:05:13] Much less traffic and there are more highway fatalities, apparently. [00:05:18] Because people are driving at crazy speeds. [00:05:21] I mean, I do 80, I admit it. [00:05:23] I do admit it. [00:05:25] I don't do more than 80. But people are passing me constantly. [00:05:29] I'm going with the flow of traffic at 80. That's the point I'm making. === Calling By First Names (00:38) === [00:05:37] All right. [00:05:38] Let's go. [00:05:43] Oh, yeah. [00:05:44] This was interesting. [00:05:45] Do 81. I'm sorry. [00:05:47] Kamala Harris. [00:05:47] Senator Harris, I mean. [00:05:48] I'm sorry. [00:05:49] It's fine. [00:05:49] I'm Kamala. [00:05:50] No, no. [00:05:50] Senator Harris to me. [00:05:51] I like that. [00:05:53] I like the moderator for saying that. [00:05:57] That is correct. [00:06:02] This was a new thing ushered in, I don't know, Bush administration? [00:06:06] I don't know, calling everybody by their first name. [00:06:10] It's just another deterioration.
