First thing is collect the information about what's going on.
The second thing is weaponize it.
Weaponize it with propaganda.
And so you'll see our adversaries from North Korea, Iran, for sure, Russia, China seek to portray this as weakness of our democracy because nothing scares Xi Jinping more than democracy.
And so they want to portray our political process as inherently unstable, which we know it's not.
The third thing is we have to be prepared that they might test us.
In any one of the flashpoints around the world, whether it's Iraq and that would be Iranian proxy militants.
So we're talking about probing actions to see our...
You know, China militarizing the South China Sea, that's an ongoing threat, but they may take other steps.

Good morning, Mr. Leader.
Welcome back to The Hugh Hewitt Show.
Great to have you.
Good morning, Hugh.
Glad to be with you.
Have you spoken to the president since his diagnosis of the COVID virus?
No, I haven't.
But it certainly underscores that the coronavirus is not concerned about the American election because...
And that it's not going away until we get a vaccine.
Do you agree with the importance given the nomination of Judge Barrett to the Constitution of this month?
I absolutely do.
And you know that you and I both agree that the most significant, long-lasting accomplishment of the last four years, the president coupled with this Republican majority in the Senate, has been putting people on, young men and women on the bench who believe in the quaint notion that maybe young men and women on the bench who believe in the quaint notion that maybe a job the judge is Now we have an opportunity to put another Supreme Court justice in place.
We've done 53 circuit judges and a total of over 200 to the federal judiciary that I think will reap benefits for the American people for decades to come.
Will Judge Barrett receive a vote on the floor before the election, Leader McConnell?
Well, the plan is for the nomination to come out of committee on October the 22nd, as Chairman Lindsey Graham has indicated.
And we will be voting on the nominee very soon.
I haven't picked an exact point to bring the nomination up.
But it's front and center for the American people.
And as we move ahead, I'll be more specific about the precise time for consideration on the floor.

Indeed.

What a scandal.
A debate where they're not in the same room.
Health concerns.
That's a very good point.
They do play football, don't they?
You know, I tell you what I get a kick out of is when they huddle.
These guys are arm-in-arm strangers to them.
They're not immediate relatives.
They're not even distant relatives.
And they huddle every play.
But you can't have a debate with them 10 feet from each other behind plexiglass.
It's really something.
Okay, let's begin with some of the clips that I have chosen for last night.
For reasons only the Lord and Sean McConnell know, the first clip is numbered 72. There is absolutely no way, if I were told you cannot eat until you guess why he did it, I would starve to death.
That's very good.
You're exciting me.
The absurdity keeps him sane.
That's exactly right.
One in five businesses.
Closed.
We're looking at frontline workers who have been treated like sacrificial workers.
Did you understand that line?
Go on.
...who have been treated like sacrificial workers.
We are looking at over 30 million people who in the last several months had to file for unemployment.
That's because of the lockdown, not because of the virus, just for the record.
We haven't done that one yet.
Hmm.
This is the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country.
Because another administration, we would have had how many dead?
Zero?
Do you realize as well, it's 210,000.
Is that the number she gave?
Yeah.
So, let's say it had been 100,000.
You don't think she would have said the exact same thing?
100,000 Americans dead.
Why?
So was this the second biggest failure?
Who was president in 68-69?
Johnson?
Yeah.
So the second greatest failure in administration...
No, no, Nixon, 68-69.
68-61?
Nixon was elected in 68, November 68. So Johnson was president when it started.
Anyway, either way, my point has nothing to do with the party.
It has to do with the lie.
No matter what, do you understand if the number had been 50,000, she would have said, 50,000 people dead.
By the way, to show you how ignorant her comment is, over 7 million people have contracted the disease.
Doesn't that show how...
How small the death rate is of this particular variant of the flu?
Isn't that obvious?
Isn't it obvious as well, the more you test, the more cases you have?
The vast majority of these people didn't even know they were sick.
Thank you.
Or they thought they might have a cold.
Next, please.
And in spite of all of that, today they still don't have a plan.
They still don't have a plan.
Well, Joe Biden does.
And our plan is about what we need to do around a national strategy for contact tracing, for testing, for administration of the vaccine, and making sure that it will be free for all.
That is the plan that Joe Biden has and that I have, knowing that we have to get a hold of what has been going on, and we need to save our country.
Oh my god.
That's their plan.
Contact tracing.
They have a plan like I have a camel.
Yeah.
You know my camel.
You have a very warm and affectionate relationship with him.
By the way, you know that camels are ill-tempered?
Are you aware of that?
Anyway, this is not anti-Caml.
I know that there what is?
No, there is no plan.
This is not a plan.
This is a joke.
We have a plan.
How will that plan reduce the number of people?
He doesn't have a plan, the president, for a vaccine?
Which, by the way, a substantial portion of Americans will not take.
She said she'll be the first in line to take it.
That's fine.
I'm not telling anybody not to take it.
I've taken every vaccine known to humanity.
I've given my children all the vaccines.
I would not take this vaccine.
But I am not recommending that others not.
I'm open with you.
I'm taking hydroxychloroquine, which is now the butt of a joke on the left.
It is a joke to them.
History will record how vile these people are.
The pro-lockdown people.
The anti-hydroxychloroquine people.
History will record it, providing the left doesn't write the history.
That's always an issue.
That's their plan.
Wow, what a plan.
Contact tracing, testing.
Wait, they're not doing testing now?
They're not going to administer the vaccine?
There's nothing different except for, let's see, contact tracing.
All right, next please.
More than 115 million tests have been done to date.
We were able to see to the delivery of billions of supplies, so our doctors and nurses had the resources and support they needed.
And we began, really, before the month of February was art, to develop a vaccine and to develop medicines and therapeutics that have been saving lives all along the way.
And under President Trump's leadership, Operation Warp Speed, we believe, will have literally tens of millions of doses of a vaccine before the end of this year.
The reality is, when you look at the Biden plan, it reads an awful lot, like what President Trump and I and our task force have been doing every step of the way.
I mean, quite frankly, when I look at their plan that talks about advancing testing, creating new PPE, developing a vaccine, it looks a little bit like plagiarism, which is something Joe Biden knows a little bit about.
We return.

All white people are racist.
You might hear this too.
America is founded on white supremacy.
These two sentences are not mere overheated emotion.
They express an ideology called critical race theory, or CRT, which argues that race is a social construct made by white people.
Just as race was once used to enslave and terrorize, so it is used today to keep America unequal, unfair, and hostile to minorities.
The Trump administration just took symbolic and courageous action against CRT. It issued a memo to federal agencies calling for the end of the government's CRT racial sensitivity trainings, terming them divisive anti-American propaganda.
Does America have real issues in its past?
Yes.
Have we made real progress that we must guard carefully?
Also yes.
The White House has led well here.

I mean, this is a man who ran for office, was ridiculed at first, demeaned, mocked.

25% of the Democrat delegation does not show up for his inaugural.
Now, this isn't because of Russia-Trump collusion.
It isn't because of the statements that he made in Charlottesville because he hadn't made them yet.
The attempt to invoke the 25th Amendment, that's what prompted President Trump to put on his doctor to show people he wasn't insane.
And then, of course, we had the two-and-a-half-year investigation of Russia-Trump collusion, all based upon mostly sketchy, phony, thin stuff that they would not have used against somebody that they like.
Oh, did I mention he was impeached?
All of this happened in three-and-a-half years.
And the man is down just six points or so in the latest national poll.
It's extraordinary what he's accomplished given the pressure he's been under.
So this is why he was so angry.
And I absolutely understand.

I tried to be fair in my analysis.

I obviously have a preference, but it doesn't mean that that clouds my ability to judge.
It might.
I admit it.
But there's something ludicrous about we have a plan.
We, the Biden, we have a plan.
And what is it?
Contact tracing, testing, and administrating the vaccine.
I know.
Wow.
It's brilliant.
The only word for it is brilliant.
I have a plan.
My plan is very different, I admit.
I wonder what he'd have said.
What if he'd have said Sweden was right?
Many of your lives have been ruined by the ill-advised lockdown.
Nancy Pelosi can get a haircut, but you can't.
That really tells the story, in my opinion.
And then the next day, Newsom opens up hair salons in California.
They play with people on the left.
And the only time people know it is afterwards, after their lives have been ruined.
And even then, there's so much nostalgia for Stalin in the...
In Russia and in Georgia, where he's from.
Okay, let's go to 75. Thank you.
So I want to ask the American people, how calm were you when you were panicked about where you're going to get your next roll of toilet paper?
How calm were you when your kids were sent home from school and you didn't know when they could go back?
How calm were you?
What was the point you tried to make?
Personally, I was very calm to answer her question.
I've been calm the whole time except with regards to the destruction of people's lives by the people who've called for lockdowns, interminable lockdowns.
My calm, I've been calm about getting supplies.
But I am angry at what's been done to your children.
If this is not child abuse, then I have lost the ability to define English.
If anybody would have said to you that parents would have deprived their children of the ability to play with other children for more than half a year, that they would come into contact with no other children, and I would say to you, would you say that that was child abuse?
And you would have said, of course it is.
But if the state does it in the name...
Of safety, then it's no longer child abuse.
But of course it's child abuse.
You may say it's justified child abuse, which it isn't.
The kids should have been going to school maskless from the beginning, like they did in Sweden.
But the deterioration of the teaching profession.
In the last generation is so profound as to be worthy of tears.
You have these wimps as models to kids.
I didn't sign up to die.
Right?
You saw those teachers with those signs.
I didn't sign up to be a martyr.
It's funny.
You did.
The living martyr did sign up to be a martyr.
Just for the record.
So he certainly has no sympathy with that message.
What was her point?
How calm were you when this happened?

Thank you.
Okay.

So here's another story, by the way.
And this is from Bloomberg, not known for its conservative views.
This is from...
I just discovered it, but it's from last month.
After 146 days in lockdown, Argentina's virus problem is getting worse.
Hmm.
How do you like that?
I don't like it.
I'm sorry for them.
But the issue of lockdown and how they're doing...
Let me give you the data here, and then we're going to continue.
I haven't checked on Sweden in quite a while here.
There we go.
Alright.
And...
Here we go.
So...
Let's look at...
First of all, in case you didn't know, the deaths per million.
Peru is one.
Belgium, two.
Brazil, three.
Spain, four.
Bolivia, five.
And, or, I won't count, it's too small.
Chile, six.
Ecuador, 7. United States, 8. Mexico, 9. That's in deaths per million.
Then UK, then Italy, then Sweden is 12th.
Sweden, guess how many new deaths?
The U.S. with all its lockdowns.
Let's see here.
932, according to this, if that's accurate.
Sweden.
Zero.
Let me click on Sweden here because I just want you to understand.
This is the country that did nothing in terms of lockdown.
And let's see.
They are daily deaths.
Here we go.
Daily deaths.
So...
October, the latest is October, no it isn't.
The latest is, the last time anybody died was October 4th, two people.
No, October 5th, one person.
It's been essentially nothing since, let's see, wow, this is astonishing.
The last time Sweden lost more than 10 people on a day was July 18th.
That is almost three months ago.
So basically, it's over.
And they're going to school.
They're eating out.
They're not with masks.
They can gather in places of 500. 500 people can gather for a concert or a speech.
In Sweden, you can't get your nails done legally in Los Angeles.
My wife went to get her nails done at what we call now a speakeasy.
You know, like they used to sell during Prohibition.
This is Prohibition.
That's what it is.
But it's less rational than Prohibition.
That's what it is.
The lockdown is less rational than prohibition.
Okay, so the last one was how many of you, let's see, were panicked about where you were going to get your next roll of toilet paper?
I know Sean was.
He came in here.
I had to give him smelling salts.
It was that bad.
And why?
His last words as he dropped to the floor were toilet paper.
It's not like we haven't lived this.
Next, please.
Number 76. You know, there's not a day gone by that I haven't thought of every American family that's lost a loved one.
And I want all of you to know that you'll always be in our hearts and in our prayers.
But when you say what the American people have done over these last eight months hasn't worked.
That's a great disservice to the sacrifices the American people have made.
I have to say, I don't buy this nonsense.
I like this man a lot.
This is pablum.
I don't like pablum when it's on our side, and I don't like pablum when it's on their side.
What does it mean, sacrifices that the American people have made?
Like losing their job because politicians forced them to lose their job?
Is that what he means?
Well...
It certainly is a sacrifice, but it's not one that one voluntarily entered.
I wish politicians could level with the American people on this.

The Beach Boys.
Surfing USA. It's a freer time.
You know, it's interesting.
The left is a psychological issue, not a moral issue.
I mean, it's a moral issue, but their stances don't come from a moral foundation.
They come from a psychological foundation.
The hatred of America is very illuminating of Israel.
Two of the finest countries in the world.
And that's why they're hated.
For their success.
Whites, having written a major book on anti-Semitism, taught Jewish history at the college level, Brooklyn College.
I have some scholarly knowledge of anti-Semitism.
And in my book, Why the Jews, which explains anti-Semitism, I also explain anti-Americanism.
And they're very related.
And now, there's something that occurred to me.
The anti-Semite has always, the refrain of the anti-Semite is, the Jews did it.
The Jews are responsible, right?
The Jews did it.
Why is there this bad thing, the Jews?
Why is this bad thing, the Jews?
And now I realize that in the United States, if you substitute the word whites, You get the same exact thing.
Why do we have oppression?
The whites.
Why do we have poverty?
The whites.
Why do we have racism?
The whites.
Who destroyed the Indians?
The whites.
Who destroyed blacks?
In a different way.
The whites.
And...
It makes no difference when you point out to the anti-whites that, well, you know, you also got the freest country in the world from these people.
You also got the most tolerant country.
You also got the most diverse country.
You also got the country with the most opportunity for people.
You also got the country that defeated communism and Nazism.
And it reminds me of what the Jews in Germany did.
They reminded Germans in the 30s what the Jews had done for Germany.
And, of course, the anti-Semite totally ignored it.
That is how irrational the white hatred is on the left.
It is analogous to the anti-Semitism that pervaded Europe.
It's very sick and evil.
There's a lot more to talk about.

This is an enormous moment for our nation.
I will say I've been kind of lifted up a little bit by seeing some of the president's fiercest political opponents wish him Godspeed and recovery from this.
What's your perspective as somebody who knows the president, as somebody who's been with the president many times?
What's the Charlie Kirk worldview on the news that the President and the First Lady have tested positive for COVID? Yeah, like everyone else, still processing it from kind of a macro perspective.
I can tell you that the President is a terrific fighter.
And look, he's going to take this very seriously.
And this is not anything that any of us expected.
People will politicize this.
I saw a couple people very late last night when this news broke around 1 o'clock Eastern.
I'll try to politicize it, but I think the rank and file are handling this fine from the Democrats and the left.
But look, anyone who says they know what's going to happen is just guessing right now, Mike.
And I just want to reinforce that.
When I have a prediction, I will say it.
I don't.
There are about 500 different variables at play here of how this will impact the Supreme Court fight, how this will impact the presidential election, and how this will impact the inner workings of the White House.
At this point, I can take a good guess, but this is something that has so many different causes and effects beyond, I think, what a lot of us in kind of the political prediction business can even try to chart.
And, you know, some people are going on TV and they say, well, this is going to help and this is going to hurt.
No one knows.
That's just a blind guess.
And people should just say that because when you start going on TV doing that, I think it actually, you have a responsibility to the audience.

On the issue of taxes, which of course came up, President also had many, many things to say.
He's paid all sorts of other kinds of taxes.
Sales taxes, payroll taxes.
Speaking of which, article in World Net Daily today about how the Bidens, Joe and Jill, set up an S corporation to avoid paying $500,000 in payroll taxes.
Perfectly legitimate.
John Edwards did the same thing.
When he won some big judgment when he was a trial lawyer, he set up an S corporation to avoid paying, I think it was $100,000 to $500,000 in payroll taxes as well.
Nothing wrong, nothing illegal.
Anything, any more than everything Donald Trump has done was nothing wrong and nothing illegal.
But this is the side that wants to raise taxes.
This is the side that says rich people are undertaxed.
And here you have an opportunity to contribute $500,000 to the Social Security system and the Medicaid system.
And instead of doing that, you set up an S-corporation to avoid it?
I mean, that's a point that should be brought up.
John Edwards set up an S-corporation.
Remember John Edwards?
John Kerry moored his 75-foot yacht in Rhode Island rather than in Massachusetts to avoid paying $500,000 in taxes.
When the story became public, he was embarrassed and then paid it.
But it shows you what rich people do to minimize their tax liability.

I do.

Hi, everybody. everybody.
You are listening to The Dennis Prager Show, reviewing what happened last night and some other thoughts.
More and more people, including scientists, are calling the lockdown awful.
When I said this in March, I was nationally abused.
It has no effect on me.
Except to have contempt for my critics.
I was right.
I wasn't right because I'm Dennis Prager.
I was right because I was right.
Because I used reason.
As I brought to you the latest data from Sweden, the perfect example.
Sweden...
What was it?
The last time they had more than...
What was it?
Five deaths?
Or six deaths?
July 18th.
They've had nothing, basically.
People are not dying of COVID. They're dying of traffic accidents more.
And they're going to school.
They're gathering in large convention centers, concert halls, 500 at a time.
The whole time they did it.
They were condemned by their own epidemiologists.
I have to say that I assume you are not a thoughtful person if I hear you're an epidemiologist.
I have had my suspicions about this group ever since they gave phony statistics on secondhand smoke.
Remember I had the UCLA epidemiologist on the show?
Who was a...
An outlier in that profession?
And he spoke about how corrupted it had become?
Epidemiologists don't follow the science.
They follow the panic.
Anyway, who's going to listen to an epidemiologist who says, don't worry?
CNN isn't going to report him.
There are some terrific epidemiologists out there.
But they're lampooned by the press.
So since the average epidemiologist is no more or less impressive than the average bus driver, or the average cook, or the average violist, or anything else, the human condition is pathetic.
There are some wonderful people, but the human condition is pathetic, and it applies to every profession.
The epidemiologists have caused Considerably more devastation than good.
That is my view of that profession.
Their sick projection of millions dead is what caused the lockdown.
Boris Johnson never wanted a lockdown in the UK. Then came out this Oxford nonsense.
Remember?
That's what did it.
The left And the intelligentsia, you know, follow fellow intelligentsia.
Wisdom has no value on the left.
Degrees do.
Ah, you're an epidemiologist.
Ah.
When I cited scientists from the beginning, said that this was a bad idea, the lockdown, they were, I remember the response I got from people in the sciences.
Ah, but they're not epidemiologists.
They were just Nobel Prize-winning scientists.
That's it.
You get it?
But they weren't specifically epidemiologists, who were statisticians, by the way.
That's what they are.
They're just statisticians, basically.
Daniel Henniger in the Wall Street Journal writes about the...
The Biden plan, and it drives me crazy that it wasn't mentioned last night by Vice President Pence.
And she, of course, didn't acknowledge it.
Oh, we have a plan, and their plan is the exact same thing that the Trump administration is doing.
There was no difference, and he pointed that out.
It's the same thing.
We're doing the same thing as your plan.
He should have said, that's not your plan.
Your plan is to lock the United States of America down and destroy more people's ability to feed their children so that they become more reliant on the government.
That's your plan!
It's very angry.
And distressing that he didn't point that out.
He did a fine job, but he didn't do a great job.
He could have clobbered her.
I will show you as we go on, he made his best points when his time was up.
It was consistent.
It was amazing.
Really powerful points.
As the moderator was saying, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Vice President, your time is up.
God, the infantilization of the American people.
They take a question from some kid, and Kamala Harris calls her a leader.
She wrote a question and she's a leader.
Isn't that amazing?
And why did they take a question from a kid?
What is this new thing?
A kid's question.
Why can't you get along more?
They're running out of adults.
That's a theory.
Why can't you get along better?
Why can't you get along?
I would love to have answered that question.
The left in this country is destroying our country, young lady.
You will have no future if they have power.
So we're fighting them for your sake.
We, who are older, have had a great time as Americans.
You won't.
That's a good answer.
You will have so much debt, no matter how much you make, you won't be able to save.
You are being crushed by the left.
financially and with the help by the way of a lot of Republicans I have no issue to acknowledging that you will have far less freedom than Americans have had since the founding of this country You will lose the right to speak.
That's why we're not getting along.
Okay?
Because to get along with people who suppress freedom is to be an auxiliary to the death of liberty in this country.
That would have been a great answer.
So she gives the pablum.
Oh, Joe!
Joe works across the aisle.
That's this problem that people want to believe.
I was shaken this week in my discussion with God Saad, that evolutionary psychologist.
I'm reading his book as a result of his hour with me.
The issue arose, which I then did an hour on, the male-female hour, Wednesday.
It's yesterday.
The feminization of the culture.
And of men.
It's having its deep impact.
I have to admit, I know nothing about the man.
He might be the nicest guy in the world, but Kamala Harris' husband goes up there and wears a mask.
I would say that Mrs. Pence showed more courage and masculinity in the best sense than Kamala Harris' husband.
He goes up to hug his own wife with a mask?
Does he go to bed with her with a mask?
I'm sorry.
It's not my kind of attack.
But I have such contempt for what he did.
Pure contempt.
I was so happy to see Mrs. Pence didn't.
That picture alone should tell you who you want to be a leader.
The contempt for the president who says that we shouldn't be preoccupied.
And then that actress, the tragic story, the actress who lost her husband.
I don't remember her name, but a lot of you know who I'm referring to.
Do you know who I'm referring to?
He lingered on and fought for months and then finally died.
The actress's husband.
I can't believe neither of you know.
I can believe I don't know.
No.
Okay, anyway, so she came out and attacked the president by saying that we shouldn't be preoccupied.
What was the word?
Don't let it dominate your lives.
That was an insult to her and her late husband.
I mean, I can't think of a more narcissistic, irrational phrase.
My heart went out to this woman, and now I think she's a fool.
And my heart still goes out to her, because my heart goes out to fools who suffer, just as it does to non-fools who suffer.
I think so, yes.
Nick Cordero, that's what I believe.
What was her name?
That's right, Amanda Klunt.
That's correct, yes.
That's right.

Here's what Robert Johnson, the founder of BET, said yesterday on CNBC. Where I come out as a businessman, I will take the devil I know over the devil I don't know any time of the week.
And that seems to be what business people are confronting today.
The more you know about who will be pulling the levers of economic growth, economic development, taxes, stimulus, regulations, in my opinion, you're better off dealing with somebody you know where they're going to be than somebody you really have no idea what decisions they will make at such a critical time.
I absolutely do not know what Vice President Biden will do.
I haven't heard anything coherent out of what he said he will do.

77, take it away.
They also said to us if we did everything right, Susan, we could still lose more than 200,000 Americans.
That's right, exactly.
That was my point to you.

There was a kid in Detroit who died.
One or two or three invalidates the point.
Considerably more kids are killed in car crashes than by COVID. Next, please.
Vice President Pence, you were in the front row in a Rose Garden event 11 days ago at what seems to have been a super spreader event for senior administration and congressional officials.
No social distancing, few masks, and now a cluster of coronavirus cases among those who were there.
How can you expect Americans to follow the administration's safety guidelines to protect themselves from COVID when you at the White House have not been doing so?
Okay.
Well, the American people have demonstrated over the last eight months that when given the facts, they're willing to put the health of their families and their neighbors and people they don't even know first.
President Trump and I have great confidence in the American people and their ability.
To take that information and put it into practice.
He's now going to deal with the Rose Garden, but I have to say I don't understand his answer.
Do you understand that answer?
Okay, thank you.
He did this repeatedly, and I think he was better than her, but he did it repeatedly.
He would say pablum and then make a great point.
And so then he'd be out of time as he's making his great point.
Okay, go on.
Now the answer to the Rose Garden question.
If I may say, that Rose Garden event, there's been a great deal of speculation about it.
My wife Karen and I were there, and honored to be there.
Many of the people who were at that event, Susan, actually were tested for coronavirus, and it was an outdoor event, which all of our scientists regularly and routinely advise.
The difference here is President Trump and I trust the American people to make choices in the best interest of their health.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Consistently talk about mandates, and not just mandates with the coronavirus, but a government takeover of health care, the Green New Deal, all government control.
We're about freedom and respecting the freedom of the American people.
Why don't he just say that without the beginning thing?
The American people are wonderful and da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-do.
Okay?
I don't want to be told I'm wonderful by any politician.
Okay?
It is of no interest to me whether you think I and the rest of the people are wonderful.
I hate Pablum.
From my side or the other side.
That is the point.
We don't want to take over your life.
We trust Americans to make good decisions.
That's the answer.
And it was outdoors.
It was a super spreader.
If it was a super spreader, how many people got hospitalized?
President is overweight and 74 and he's fine.
So then people, well, he got special treatment.
Okay, maybe so.
He wants the space he announced.
I want this treatment given to everybody.
If that's what it takes.
But at least he's a living example of, whoa, it doesn't appear to be that serious in a lot of people who are otherwise.
Candidates for very serious sickness or death.
That's right.
Next, please.
80. The American people have had to sacrifice far too much because of the incompetence of this administration.
It is asking too much of the people.
Okay.
Right.
The incompetence of this administration.
What would they have done differently?
And why were there more deaths per million in places like Belgium?
They're more incompetent than Belgium.
Just to give one example.
The United States is eighth in per million deaths.
That's on the assumption, by the way, that the numbers are accurate.
We'll know, and I said, truth is number one on this program.
So, we will know.
And we won't know by the end of this year.
We'll know by the end of next year.
How many excess deaths occurred this year?
Then I would say that that would be an accurate number of COVID. Not excess deaths because of highway collisions.
Even though they are up, oddly enough.
Much less traffic and there are more highway fatalities, apparently.
Because people are driving at crazy speeds.
I mean, I do 80. I admit it.
I do admit it.
I don't do more than 80, but people are passing me constantly.
I'm going with the flow of traffic at 80. That's the point I'm making.

Normally, after a debate, I have no guests, but sometimes it's so important.
This is one of those cases.
Steve Cortez is now a senior advisor to the Trump campaign, so in many ways in charge of the messages that are being sent out, if I have that right.
Steve Cortez was with CNN, and Dennis, it's more than fair to say that.
They explicitly told me that.
I was taken off the air because I dared to tell the truth and expose their lie, their malicious narrative.
And Dennis, I thank you so much for the platform to do it because I really believe that this has been The most corrosive lie in American public life.
Well, I wrote that it is the biggest lie since the medieval blood libel against the Jews.
It's the biggest national lie, and I'm sort of a historian of anti-Semitism, so I have a lot of knowledge about that.
In the Middle Ages, Jews were accused of killing Christian children to use their blood to bake matzah.
For Passover.
I mean, and I say that the Charlottesville and the America is racist, the America's racist lie, are the greatest combination of national lies since the one against the Jews.
Right.
No, it makes sense to me, unfortunately.
And as absurd as the blood libel lie was, it was widely believed.
And as absurd as the Charlottesville lie is, because of the constant repetition, the constant drumbeat.
Of Democrat politicians like Joe Biden who launched his campaign on this myth with the full willing complicity of the corporate media in America.
Unfortunately, millions and millions of Americans have been convinced that their president praised violent bigots.
It's not the truth, of course.
The exact opposite is actually true, as we've proven that video and as anybody who's willing to read the actual transcript or watch the full video of President Trump's Presser will know that he actually explicitly condemned, in no uncertain terms, the violent bigots who were there in Charlottesville.
Nonetheless, this has become sort of a cause celeb among the left.
They have largely successfully pushed the lie, but people like you and I and Joe Pollock at Breitbart and Scott Adams and now, thank goodness, Mike Pence.
We are doing all we can to spread the truth.
And when I say to people, look, I clearly...
I admire and firmly want this president to be re-elected.
But what I tell people is, I understand reasons for not supporting or not liking this president, but those reasons better be truthful.
Do not detest this president or the America First movement based on a lie.
And then the Charlottesville hoax, the fine people hoax is a lie.
I was so, I was literally jumping up and down when Mike Pence, in about 90 seconds, quickly deconstructed it.
And I hope, I'm not going to declare victory yet, Dennis.
But I hope, you know, because this is like a zombie, this fine people hoax.
It just keeps coming back from the dead.
Maybe, maybe it's at least on life support now because of the big assist.
Well, the lie upon the lie is Joe Biden had no interest in running for president.
It was Charlottesville that convinced him he needed to run.
This man has been running for president for 47 years.
He never heard of Charlottesville, and he decided to run for president.
I mean, the ease with which the left lies is breathtaking.
Right.
You know, speaking of that, last night in the debate, it was interesting.
The very first lie that Kamala told, it was in, I think, about a minute in, literally, into the debate, and she actually used the word hoax, right?
That was a lie, where she said that Donald Trump called the virus a hoax.
And, of course, he never did.
Even the Washington Post, by the way, conceived this.
Even their fact checker said no.
He was talking about the Democratic reaction to his coronavirus handling.
He said that was a hoax.
He never called the virus itself a hoax.
And so she used the word hoax to lie, as I said, mere seconds into the campaign.
She lied quite a bit last night.
She lied about her wish to ban fracking.
You know, we have this on videotape.
I mean, you know, these people are pretty bold.
In their lives.
But again, the most pernicious lie, the most malicious for our society has been the fine people hoax.
And we have to continue to spread the truth about it.
And in a sense, you know, of course I want people to vote for Donald Trump.
And I'm working for the campaign night and day.
I'm speaking from campaign headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
I'm away from my family.
I miss home.
I miss my radio show in Chicago.
But I'm doing this because it's a mission.
And I want this president to be re-elected.
But when it comes to this topic, I have to tell you...
It's not just about Trump.
It's so much bigger than that, right?
It's about having a public square that is honest in this country and not trying to divide America into tribalism.
So much of the world has failed because of tribalism.
America has always rejected that kind of thinking.
And what the left is trying to do, and they want to use lies like this to push this trend forward, they want to put us into convenient buckets so that we turn against each other, and then we are unfortunately dependent only on government.
Right, alright, I have a lot to ask of you about the campaign, including the latest of the Commission's decision that they not debate in person.

Will Judge Barrett receive a vote on the floor before the election, Leader McCombs?
Thank you.
By the way, just up at SalemNow.com is the video of Jack Hibbs, one of the leading pastors in the country, and myself on what's happening in America.

Steve Cortez is a major figure in the President's campaign.
And explain to me, please, because it sounds a little screwy to me.
That the Commission on Debates has come out and said that the next debate cannot be in person, but must be virtual.
Do you know anything about that?
Oh, I sure do.
No, and by the way, it's more than screwy.
It's just reprehensible.
These are swamp tactics at their worst.
So here's what happened.
Last night, of course, amazingly powerful, persuasive performance from Vice President Pence.
Fairly humiliating night, in my view, and I think in most people's view, their objective for Kamala Harris.
Mere hours later, 7.30 a.m.
Eastern Time today, the debate commission, which is allegedly bipartisan, but it isn't.
The only Republicans on there are establishment swamped Republicans who hate our movement and detest the president.
7.30 a.m.
without any notification at all, any consultation with the Trump campaign, makes a unilateral decision that the debate in a whole week from now, seven days from now, cannot be held and uses as the pretext.
The infection of President Trump.
Now, here's the reality with President Trump.
His medical team tells us that he will very likely be completely cleared by this weekend, meaning not only is he no longer sick, and at this point showing no symptoms, but not only is he not sick, that he will be not contagious by the weekend, that he will be totally cleared to be a normal person, to interact as any other person would who is healthy.
In addition to that, by the way, I can go even further.
The doctor says there are early signs that he has the antibody, so he might even be better.
Then back to healthy.
And rather than waiting for that medical clearance, the Debate Commission intercedes, again, unilaterally.
Why?
I have to think there's two reasons.
Number one, they want to step on the vice president's performance.
They want to create a new news story for the day.
So instead of spending most of the day talking about how wonderfully Pence did and the dangerous, radical agenda of Kamala Harris, suddenly the story changes, right?
This is what the swamp does.
These are the tactics of these kinds of operators.
And then secondly, Maybe more importantly in the big picture, they're trying to protect Joe Biden.
They want him to be able to do the debate from his basement where we will have no idea what kind of assistance he's getting electronically from staff.
Otherwise, they are clearly trying to bail him out.
So the president in our campaign immediately said, hell no, we are not agreeing to this.
There is no such thing as a virtual debate.
There's no reason for this.
What we have since said, that was the first response this morning, was just no.
What we have since said is we would agree To a week delay on debates two and three.
So we're trying to be reasonable and saying they have to go off as planned, but a week later.
So they will be, instead of the 15th, it will be the 22nd of October and the 29th of October.
Now, I think that's very accommodating of our campaign.
We don't know yet what the commission will say or what the Biden campaign will say.
We are also, I can tell you, considering at least just knocking the commission out of it entirely.
In other words, let's try, if we can, to just negotiate with the Biden campaign because the commission is corrupted.
It just is.
Frank Faircock is the head of it.
And useless.
Who wants them?
Frank Faircock is the head of it.
If two campaigns cannot agree on how to debate, then it's irrelevant.
Right.
I concur.
Exactly.
And so we're considering that as well.
So it's been a very busy day here, as you can imagine.
But it's interesting.
I mean, a lot of us got in here earlier this morning, a little tired, because it was a late night with the debates, of course.
But, you know, elated, right?
Because our guy right now, because the president can't be out in public yet, our standard-bearer is Vice President Pence, and our standard-bearer went out and just did wonderful work last night for the country for our cause.
So we come in, you know, pretty dang elated, right?
I also think Kamala Harris was revealed for who she really is.
And then, you know, this punch in the gut.
But this is what the swamp does, unfortunately.
All right, one more thing, Steve, one more thing.
I wish the Vice President and the President, and you're the ear that I need to convey this, made it clear and clarity is only available through clarity and repetition, that as Daniel Henniger writes, and as I have been saying so much, they want, they believe you can't have an economy until the virus is conquered.
We do not agree.
Correct.
That must be made as clear as possible.
Your advice is well taken on that score.
And I will convey that to the president himself.
And I will tell you this, I'm doing everything I can within our platforms.
For instance, I do a show called Magonomics, and it just shows on our social media.
Most people watch it on our Facebook page.
And that might sound like it's not a big deal.
Well, Dennis, my Monday night one, I got 2 million viewers.
Okay, so it's getting...
Fox News primetime kind of numbers talking about exactly what you're talking about.
It's not a matter of we put our society on hold until there is no more virus.
No.
The economy is roaring back to life, thank God.
And it's primarily doing that, by the way, because of the freedom jurisdictions.
Places like Florida that have acted appropriately, have smartly managed risks while reopening our society.
They're carrying a load in many ways for the entire country, and we're still doing great on a national basis.
Dennis, if we were to take the shackles off of places like my hometown of Chicago, your home state of California, I think 2021 could be the greatest economic year in American history.
I really believe that because of the V-shaped rebound that is already occurring, and to some degree we're fighting with only one hand, you know, rather than both hands.
So if we can convince the people and the politicians, unfortunately, in those blue states in those lockdown locations, that it is time for us to get back to normalcy in this country.
And we do not have to wait for the vaccine.
We hope that happens, of course.
But we don't have to wait for it.
You're exactly right.
It's not an either way.
It's not a binary choice.
This economy is roaring back to life in most of America.
It should be doing so in all of America.
All right.
Let's keep talking.
You're invaluable to the country right now.
Thank you, Dennis.
Thank you.
Steve Cortez.
Watch his video, by the way, at PragerU on the Charlottesville lie.
Compounded by the lie that that's what convinced Joe Biden to run for president.
I don't know how people lie with a straight face.
I must admit, it's a puzzle to me.

He's paid all sorts of other kinds of taxes.
Sales taxes.
Payroll taxes.
Speaking of which, article in World Net Daily today about how the Bidens, Joe and Jill, set up an S corporation.
To avoid paying $500,000 in payroll taxes.
Perfectly legitimate.
John Edwards did the same thing.
When he won some big judgment when he was a trial lawyer, he set up an S corporation to avoid paying, I think it was $100,000 to $500,000 in payroll taxes as well.
Now, nothing wrong, nothing illegal.
Anything, any more than everything Donald Trump has done was nothing wrong and nothing illegal.
But this is the side that wants to raise taxes.
This is a side that says rich people are undertaxed.
And here you have an opportunity to contribute $500,000 to the Social Security system and the Medicaid system.
And instead of doing that, you set up an S-corporation to avoid it?
I mean, that's a point to be brought up.
John Edwards set up an S-corporation.

John Kerry moored his 75-foot yacht in Rhode Island rather than in Massachusetts to avoid paying $500,000 in taxes.

We don't anticipate any kind of unanticipated event that could throw us off schedule.
Now, in my opinion, Senator, four members of the Judiciary Committee have violated Article 6, which bans religious tests in the past.
Senator Feinstein, when she asked or when she said the dogma lives loudly within you.
Senator Durbin, who is himself a Catholic, when he asked Judge Barrett if she was an Orthodox Catholic.
Senator Hirono, when she responded no to a question of religion off the table.
And Senator Harris, in fact, I want to quote Tony Gutierrez from The America Magazine, that's the magazine of the Jesuits, on August 20th of this year, quote, Senator Harris's questioning of Brian Boucher during his confirmation hearing for a federal judgeship also raises questions among Catholics, especially the Knights of Columbus, of which I have been a member for 15 years.
Senator Harris, along with Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono, questioned Mr. Boucher's ability to serve him partially based on his membership of the Knights.
Do you think your colleagues violated Article 6 in these instances?
You need to know about the, what is it? what is it?
The Great Barrington Declaration?
What is it?
What is that?
There's a thousand?
Two thousand?
Medical doctors and other scientists.
Right, the heads were Harvard, Stanford, Oxford.
About how the lockdown is counterproductive.
That's what they need to tell the people.
Your lives will be crushed.
Protect the vulnerable and let everybody else go to work.
That's correct.
Alright, play the next one, Sean.
Here we go, ladies and gentlemen.
81, take it away.
I did that one.
Okay.
...sports say that most of the people who can be vaccinated need to be vaccinated.
But half of Americans now say they wouldn't take a vaccine if it was released now.
If the Trump administration approves a vaccine before or after the election, should Americans take it and would you take it?
If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors...
Tell us that we should take it.
I'll be the first in line to take it.
Absolutely.
But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.
Okay, fine.
Don't take it.
I'm not taking it even if Donald Trump says I should take it.
I've taken every vaccine.
We should have spent our time and money on curing it and figuring out what to do for the next virus.
If we're going to shut down economies, the world will end up in the Middle Ages.
It's quite remarkable.
We'll do more quotes next time.
Yeah, but it's not worth it.
I think, squeeze in number 84. The American people have a president who's a businessman.
He's a job creator.
He's paid tens of millions of dollars in taxes.
Payroll taxes, property taxes.
He's created tens of thousands of American jobs.
Yeah.
That's the answer to...
She raised the issue of he only paid $750.
People in business pay different taxes in different years.
He's paid millions of dollars and created jobs.
All right, everybody.
Got a lot more coming up.

So this is tremendously serious, which brings up the question how this will play with regard to this election.
Does it give him sympathy?
I think it does.
In other words, I think that it humanizes him precisely in the way that his debate performance didn't humanize him.
In other words, that was him at his worst, You know, Eric, you and I are both born-again Christians, and we believe that God is sovereign and that he has a purpose for our lives.
I was actually thinking of that point specifically while I was contemplating what to write, because I do think that, for all the good that he has done, that he could be even better.
With the reminder that his abilities only take him so far and that life is precious and that as God grants him each breath, literally, when you're talking about COVID, you're talking about a respiratory issue.
As he grants him the next breath, there is a gratitude that can be sown into his heart for being able to do what he's doing.
And I think if you took the monster accomplishments of Trump.
And you added to that genuine God-centered humility that life is precious and life is valuable and we have to be thankful for every day and every breath that we have.
I think that makes him, as you said, more sympathetic in ways that I don't think anything else could.

What's your perspective as somebody who knows the president, as somebody who's been with the president many times?
What's the Charlie Kirk worldview on the news that the president and the first lady have tested positive for COVID? Yeah, like everyone else, still processing it.
From kind of a macro perspective, I can tell you that the president is a terrific fighter.
And look, he's going to take this very seriously.

People will politicize this.
I saw a couple people very late last night when this news broke around 1 o'clock Eastern try to politicize it.

But look, anyone who says they know what's going to happen is just guessing right now, Mike.

I don't.

So at this point, I can take a good guess, but this is something that has so many different It causes and effects beyond, I think, what a lot of us in kind of the political prediction business can even try to chart.

Hi, everybody.
I'm Dennis Prager, reviewing the debate and much more.
Let me see the New York Times again.
This is not the opinion section.
This is the so-called news section.
The headline, In Clash on Virus, Harris Puts Pence on the Defensive.
That's the news headline on the front page.
Even MSNBC thought it was a draw, but the New York Times is a mouthpiece for the left.
It serves no other function at this time.
I'm sorry to say, just a fact.
They even fired, they actually fired their opinion page editor because he published a piece by a Republican senator.
Yeah, Tom Cotton, yeah.
And that's how it's gotten.
I want to remind you that thousands of scientists have come out against the lockdown.
I also want to remind you that I said in March that the lockdown was the greatest mistake.
The New York Times cited me in passing today as having said that.
That's my distinguishing characteristic that I call the lockdown.
The greatest mistake in history, and on a worldwide basis it is.
When I think of the suffering people of India, they are suffering much more from the lockdown than from the virus.
The fatality rate of the virus is extremely small.
It's about the same as a regular flu.
And we probably know how to treat it better than the regular flu when it gets to you.
My dear friends, scientist after scientist.
Belgian, I read to you yesterday in Belgium.
Was it 800 scientists?
Mostly doctors.
When the left tells you, follow the science, it is a gigantic lie.
What they say is, follow scientists we agree with.
That is what they say.
They do not believe in following the science.
Ask them a question.
I don't care what's your position on abortion.
It has nothing to do with your position on abortion.
It has to do with your position on follow the science.
What does science say?
When does science say you become a human?
At birth or at conception?
Just science.
They don't believe and follow the science.
Science says that men do not menstruate.
The left says men do menstruate.
It's very interesting where I get a, every so often, I read comments a lot on my articles and so on.
So there are people who get very annoyed when I use that example.
Ah, there he goes again with his example of men menstruate.
Why is that an illegitimate example of what the left says?
Because I point it out frequently?
The more I point it out, the better.
All right, Sean.
We are ready with the next, please.
And no, I am going to continue here with 85.
The distinction here is that Joe Biden, 47 years in public service, compared to President Donald Trump, who brought all of that experience four years ago.
Thank you, thank you.
And turned this economy around by cutting taxes, rolling back regulation.
Thank you.
Thank you, Vice President.
This happens all the time.
His most important points he said when his time was up.
If I could go over this, I like this man.
If I could go over this with him, I would show him that.
Where he wasted the first minute on Pablum.
And then got to a great point.
Okay, next please.
86. Joe Biden believes you measure the health and the strength of America's economy based on the health and the strength of the American worker and the American family.
On the other hand, you have Donald Trump who measures the strength of the economy.
Based on how rich people are doing.
By the way, let me stop there.
That's why I call these people communists.
Everything is rich-poor.
That's a complete lie.
The president improved the economy for virtually all Americans in the first three years prior to the lockdown.
It's just a lie.
But it is a communist lie.
Our opponents only care about the rich.
How come, then, the really rich vote a Democrat?
If he's so beneficial to the rich, why did the rich not vote for him?
Or the Republicans generally?
Continue, please.
Which is why he passed a tax bill benefiting the top 1%.
And the biggest corporations of America, leading to a $2 trillion deficit that the American people are going to have to pay for.
It is precious when Democrats talk about the deficit.
You have to admit.
Go on.
Joe Biden will repeal that tax bill.
He'll get rid of it.
And what he'll do with the money is invest it in the American people.
I love invest too.
I don't even know what that means.
He'll invest it in the American people.
He'll spend it.
He'll invest it in more democratic victories.
Alright, for example, go on, 87. Joe Biden will use that money to invest in education.
So, for example, for folks who want to go to a two-year community college, it will be free.
If you come from a family that makes less than $125,000, you'll go to a public university for free.
And across the board, we'll make sure that if you have student loan debt, it's cut by $10,000.
Right, so all of you who paid off your student debt, the left has contempt for you.
You're a sucker.
That's the way that people who pay their bills are regarded as suckers.
Next, please.
When President Trump and I took office, America had gone through the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression.
When Joe Biden was vice president, they tried to tax and spend and regulate and bail our way back to a growing economy.
President Trump cut taxes across the board.
Despite what Senator Harris says, the average American family of four had $2,000 in savings and taxes.
And with the rise in wages that occurred, most predominantly for blue-collar, hard-working Americans, The average household income for a family of four increased by $4,000 following President Trump's tax cuts.
But America, you just heard Senator Harris tell you, on day one, Joe Biden's going to raise your taxes.
It's really remarkable to think.
I mean, right after a time where we're going through a pandemic that lost 22 million jobs at the height, we've already added back 11.6 million jobs.
Because we had a president who cut taxes, rolled back regulation, unleashed American energy, fought for free and fair trade, and secured $4 trillion from the Congress of the United States to give direct payments to families, save 50 million jobs through the Paycheck Protection Program.
We literally have spared no expense to help the American people and the American worker through this.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to raise taxes.
They want to bury our economy under a $2 trillion Green New Deal.
Which you were one of the original co-sponsors of in the United States Senate.
Go on.
Now the Trump, hence administration, wants to take credit when they rode the coattails of Joe Biden's success for the economy that they had at the beginning of their term.
Of course, now the economy is a complete disaster.
But Joe Biden, on the one hand, did that.
On the other hand, you have Donald Trump, who has reigned over A recession that is being compared to the Great Depression.
I wonder, when Americans hear that, do they believe that this is not demagoguery?
There's a great recession now because of the lockdowns.
The lockdowns are overwhelmingly done by Democrats.
When he speaks about the economy roaring back, they say he's heartless because he cares about money more than people.
You get it?
For up to him, we would have a much better economy now, but it's not up to him.
It's up to the Cuomos and the Whitmers and the Newsoms of the country who are ruining their states, as Democrats have been doing for half a century.
It is quite remarkable.

Do you believe, as the scientific community has concluded, that man-made climate change has made wildfires bigger, hotter, and more deadly, and have made hurricanes wetter, slower, and more damaging?
You have two minutes uninterrupted.
Okay, so we got it here.
I thought she did a pretty good job, the moderator, I just want to say.
She's...
Yes, the time thing.
Those are the rules they agree to, and what is she supposed to do?
Anyway, putting that aside, this is such an amazing thing.
The scientific community has concluded.
Really?
The scientific community has concluded?
That the primary reason for the fires in California is global warming rather than despicable policies by the left called the environmentalist religion?
Really?
I'm just curious.
Which is the scientific community?
So this is what they do.
See, by the way, I don't even blame her.
She's a product of believing the left.
That's it.
She's never heard this show.
She has never heard any dissenting view.
She has been taught that any dissenting view is science denial.
So this is why she posed the question that way.
You do not believe in science if you believe that the primary reason for the fires in California is global warming.
Okay?
You do not believe in science.
You believe in lying about science for the sake of your agenda.
The amount of brush that is left because they won't allow burns and they won't allow timber removal because of environmentalist policies.
There's no comparison between the two.
How exactly does global warming increase lightning?
Does it increase arson?
God, but I love that line.
The scientific community has concluded.
Whoa, how?
They take a vote?
They've concluded in USA Today.
They haven't concluded in City Journal.
They haven't included in The Spectator.
In a whole world of serious people thinking.
I love that.
The scientific community is included.
And what about the same thing?
The hurricanes.
Record-setting hurricanes.
What does that mean, record-setting hurricanes?
Do you know?
What records have they set?
The hurricanes of the last half century or quarter century are not more intense and not more frequent.
But other than that, she got it right.
You know what they set her record for?
Hyperbole.
That's what they do.
That's the records.
There are more lies told about the hurricanes in our time than ever before.
That's the records that the hurricanes are setting.
Mike Pence, number 92. Now with regard to climate change, the climate is changing.
But the issue is, What's the cause, and what do we do about it?
President Trump has made it clear that we're going to continue to listen to the science.
Now, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would put us back in the Paris Climate Accord.
They'd impose the Green New Deal, which would crush American energy, would increase the energy costs of American families in their homes, and literally would crush American jobs.
Yeah, but it doesn't matter.
Just as you are willing to crush Americans...
Jobs, because of COVID, they are willing to do crush Americans jobs because of global warming.
That's it.
The more Americans not working for private industry, the more they rely on the government.
The more they rely on the government, the stronger the Democratic Party and the left is.
A happy American is the enemy of the left.
Number 93. You know, what's remarkable is the United States has reduced CO2 more than the countries that are still in the Paris climate.
That's correct.
But we've done it through innovation.
Right.
And we've done it through natural gas and fracking, which, Senator, the American people can go look at the record.
That's right.
94. With regard to wildfires, President Trump and I believe that forest management has to be front and center, and even Governor Gavin Newsom from your state has agreed we've got to work on forest management.
With regard to hurricanes, the National Oceanic Administration tells us that actually as difficult as they are, there are no more hurricanes today than there were a hundred years ago.
Thank you.
But many of the climate alarms use hurricanes and wild flyers to try and sell the bill of goods of a Green New Deal.
And President Trump and I are going to always put...
Again, his key points were made at the very end when she was telling him his time limit was up.
Most unfortunate indeed.

The president also had many, many things to say.
He's paid all sorts of other kinds of taxes.
Sales taxes.
Payroll taxes.
Now, nothing wrong, nothing illegal.
Anything, any more than everything Donald Trump has done was nothing wrong and nothing illegal.
But this is the side that wants to raise taxes.
This is the side that says rich people are undertaxed.
And here you have an opportunity to contribute $500,000 To the Social Security system and the Medicaid system, and instead of doing that, you set up an S-Corporation to avoid it?
I mean, that's a point to be brought up.
John Edwards set up an S-corporation.
Remember John Edwards?
John Kerry moored his 75-foot yacht.
In Rhode Island rather than in Massachusetts to avoid paying $500,000 in taxes.
When the story became public, he was embarrassed and then paid it.
but it shows you what rich people do to minimize their tax liability.

Now, in my opinion, Senator, Four members of the Judiciary Committee have violated Article 6, which bans religious tests in the past.
Senator Feinstein, when she asked, or when she said, the dogma lives loudly within you.
Senator Durbin, who is himself a Catholic, when he asked Judge Barrett if she was an Orthodox Catholic.
Senator Hirono, when she responded no to a question, is religion off the table?
Senator Harris's questioning of Brian Boucher during his confirmation hearing for a federal judgeship also raises questions among Catholics, especially the Knights of Columbus, of which I have been a member for 15 years.
Senator Harris, along with Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono, questioned Mr. Boucher's ability to serve him partially based on his membership of the Knights.
Do you think your colleagues violated Article VI in these instances?
I do.
I think this is the single biggest issue in the confirmation of Judge Barrett.
Discrimination against people of religion is on full display.
I think our colleagues on the other side need to be reminded there is no religious test for public service in America.
None whatsoever.

For him to understand...
Hi everybody, Dennis Prager here, Dan Henninger of the Wall Street Journal.
Writes a column each Thursday and is on the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal.
It's a sanity page, the Wall Street Journal editorial page.
People ask how I keep my sanity.
It's one of the ways I do.
Dan Henniger, are you in New York right now?
I am in New York, Dennis, yes.
I am curious.
I'm not looking for an answer.
I'm simply curious.
Is it depressing in New York now?
Yeah, it is a bit wearing.
You know, it's depressing.
I know you didn't call me to exactly talk about this, but the city is having such a difficult time raising itself up because the mayor and governor won't get off its back.
We have a pretty significant thing going on here in New York with the governor.
Announcing that he was basically shutting down life in nine zip codes because the positivity rate for coronavirus had gotten over 3%.
There are parents in the street protesting the closure of their schools, which they said our kids weren't infected.
Now we've got to have them at home again.
The Orthodox Jews are demonstrating significantly in their neighborhoods around New York.
And the Bishops of Brooklyn and New York are outraged that their churches are being reduced to like 10 people in some of these zones.
And, you know, after all this time, Dennis, with the coronavirus and the shutdowns and New York and everything we've been through here, people have really reached the breaking point with this stuff.
They just can't take it anymore.
And so, yeah, it's a downer back here in New York, but it's a downer because Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio just won't let it go.
Your column today, which is why I called you, is Joe Biden is the shutdown candidate.
I just spoke to Steve Cortez of the campaign, and I think that they should make this point every day, all day.
You elect the Democrats and you ain't seen nothing yet in the crushing of your freedom and your economy.
Why don't they make that point regularly?
That's a good question.
I think maybe certainly the Trump campaign is disorganized now with Bill Stepp in the campaign manager testing positive the president himself.
So I'm not sure they're quite clear on which direction they're going in not to mention Dropping out of next week's town hall.
But I agree with you.
I think this is a vulnerability for the Democratic Party led by Joe Biden now.
They, you know, it jumped out at me in last week's non-debate.
The one thing Biden said that seemed clear was he cannot fix the economy.
Until you fix the COVID crisis.
And last night in the debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence, the first thing Susan Page asked Kamala Harris was whether you and your boss, Joe Biden, would support further shutdowns under some circumstances.
And Dennis, she completely ducked that question.
She wouldn't answer it.
The clear implication being that when governors like Andrew Cuomo re-shut down States or cities like New York, Joe Biden is going to stand aside and let them do it no matter what the economic damage.
And, you know, the country is kind of at a point where they just beginning to feel they're emerging from this crisis.
You've got the prospect of...
We've been hearing this from doctors for weeks that this was an extremely promising therapy.
It looks like it worked pretty well for him.
The vaccines are coming online.
So there's light at the end of the tunnel.
But as you suggest, the Democrats, led by Joe Biden, seem to make the tunnel run forever.
Watch in it for them.
I think part of it is that they are the scared people, but I think part of it is that they benefit from it, but I can't put my finger on it other than to say the more people out of work or the more small businesses that fail, the more people depend on government, and that's in the Democrats' interest.
Is that cynical?
You know, I don't think it's cynical.
Basically realistic.
I mean, between Nancy Pelosi and the stimulus bill and Joe Biden and his economic plan, their theory of reality seems to be that bowing to something they call science, we can shut down the economy more or less indefinitely and make up the difference in lost incomes and the rest of it with direct Outlays by the federal government.
Hold on there if you will.
Keep that thought down.
I've got to take a break.

It certainly was different, wasn't it?
Feisty, entertaining, combative.
The president came into the debate as if he were a boxer who had come in sweaty, steamed, ready to go, and that was the problem.
I absolutely get why Donald Trump is so pedo.

He wins.
It's extraordinary.
Okay, everybody, everybody, I'm speaking with Dan Henninger of the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal.
And this Thursday column is out today, being Thursday.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'd like to read to you from the very end and then go back to the question of what's in it for the Democrats?
What's in it?
Why did the Democrats favor lockdowns?
As of Wednesday, that's yesterday, some 3,700 medical and public health scientists had signed the Great Barrington Declaration calling for a more balanced approach which would allow, quote, those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally.
To build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk.
In other words, letting life go on as normally as possible.
And he then concludes, Donald Trump and most Republican governors would sign that declaration.
Joe Biden and the Democrats would not ever.
If Mr. Biden wins, throwing in as well as intention to raise taxes amid the pandemic should Democrats gain control of the Senate, the return of the U.S. to economic and social normalcy is going to take a very, very long time.
So, aside from the fact that I do believe that the further left you go, the more scared of life and death people are, I'd like to know what's in it for them.
Well, I... You know, we talked earlier about being cynical.
I do have a theory about this, at least a partial theory, which is that the shutdowns and the rest of it, early on, the Democrats and the media, and the media is a big part of this, as I'll explain shortly, kept arguing that Trump was violating, quote-unquote, the science.
The belief being then that the science was arguing on behalf of quarantine, shutdowns, and isolation.
And they've never stepped back from citing this authority, science, on behalf of the most restrictive possible measures in dealing with the coronavirus.
And I think, Dennis, that that has a lot to do with something that is even A bigger goal in the minds of Democrats and the media, and that is climate.
That is the Green New Deal.
That whole agenda is based on citing the authority of science.
And, you know, we have gotten to the point where anyone who dissents from their views on climate is regarded as a heretic and driven out of polite company.
Trump, of course, pulled us out of the Paris Climate Accord.
And now he, in their mind, is doing the same thing, violating their authority with the coronavirus.
I think the two are connected.
And since they're both ultimately political goals on their part, they're not going to let any kind of reality intrude, and especially with the coronavirus.
Man, that started back in February or March.
We've learned a lot about the science of the coronavirus.
I argue in the column, as the Barrington, the Great Barrington Declaration does, that we have to figure out a way to live with the coronavirus, to live alongside of it.
But their politics simply does not allow the intrusion of any countervailing ideas.
In this case, literally being the survival of most of the private economy.
Okay, I sometimes envy what I regard as your equilibrium.
I am furious.
I just have to say.
I'm watching them wreck this wonderful country.
That's what I feel I'm doing.
Well, I'll leave you with this.
There's an article in the Wall Street Journal today, just put up this morning.
about the mass resignation of police chiefs across the United States Senate and the inability of cities like Minneapolis and Dallas to attract anyone else who wants to take the job of police chiefs in these great American cities explicitly, they're saying, because of the lack of political support in those cities.
And so I agree with you.
I think we're on the brink of seeing something pretty grim taking place.
I mean, once you lose the security function inside U.S. cities, the criminal element will recognize it.
And I think over the next 12 months, it's going to start manifesting itself.
It's going to be very disturbing.
Well, to hear that from you is very sobering.
Be that as it may, thank you for your work and thanks for coming on.
All right, Dennis.
Carry on.
Good to talk to you.
I will carry on.
That is true.
Thank you.
That's an amazing article.
I didn't see that in today's Wall Street Journal.
The police don't want to be police chiefs.
And we're posting Dan Henninger's piece too.
The left is destroying a wonderful country.
The fixation on Donald Trump's character, idiosyncrasies, Anything else you want to say is all a smokescreen for the destruction of the country by the left.
That's all it is.
If you've fallen for it, my heart breaks for the country.
I haven't fallen for it.
If you can't see what's destroying America, if you think Trump is as big a danger as the left, Different.
As to be incredible.
