Dennis Prager Show - Lou Dobbs on The Trump Century Aired: 2020-09-25 Duration: 01:56 === Builder President Surprises (01:56) === [00:00:00] Were you surprised? [00:00:01] I think he's turned out to be a great president. [00:00:05] Did this surprise you? [00:00:07] I admit it surprised me. [00:00:09] It did not, and I have believed in this president from the moment he announced that he was running. [00:00:19] It's because the country needed a disruptor, and he was that. [00:00:24] And maybe it's because I've spent a lot of time worrying about the political economy. [00:00:29] Not just the economy or politics, but the political economy. [00:00:33] And I'm enamored by people who are innovative and who can break through orthodoxies and actually have a sense of timing to know when it is most propitious to do so. [00:00:49] This president wanted expressed, and by the way, when I said to you that I thought he would be a great president, I didn't know he would be this great, but I knew he would be great because of his independence, his pragmatism, and his ability to get things done. [00:01:10] He was a builder. [00:01:11] The country needs a builder. [00:01:13] A builder is by definition optimistic. [00:01:15] A builder, by definition, does not want to be fettered by unnecessary regulation or nonsense. [00:01:27] And a builder, by definition, also, is someone who likes people and must work with people of all walks of life. [00:01:34] Yes, indeed. [00:01:35] Lou Dobbs, I have two more questions for you, if you could stay on. [00:01:41] And one is good. [00:01:43] I ask everyone this to explain the hatred, so I'd love you to do so. [00:01:48] By the way, I have a question. [00:01:50] Is today your birthday? [00:01:51] It is my birthday. [00:01:53] Thank you for noticing. [00:01:55] Well, thank you.
