Dennis Prager Show - Ideas Unite Us, Not Skin Color Aired: 2020-09-19 Duration: 01:41 === Ideas That Unite Us (01:41) === [00:00:00] The idea that there was a racial community, when I grew up, that was considered racist. [00:00:06] That was a KKK view. [00:00:08] There's such a thing as a race community. [00:00:11] Yeah, and it's crazy. [00:00:13] You know, I belong to a community of people that believe in hard work, that don't believe in handouts, that want to work hard and be given opportunities. [00:00:20] And that community looks, if you look at our faces, we don't have a certain look, right? [00:00:26] There are blacks, whites, Hispanics, Jews, you know, that's not what matters. [00:00:31] It's our ideas that unite us, and that really is sort of one of the building blocks of my book. [00:00:39] You know, ideology is what combines people and makes us a community, not skin color or race or sexuality. [00:00:49] It's interesting even this notion that there is a black community. [00:00:56] So I am curious, am I supposed to think like George Soros? [00:01:00] He's a Jew and I'm a Jew. [00:01:02] Everything he stands for, I have contempt for. [00:01:05] He is the opposite of me on the human chart. [00:01:08] He is the literal opposite. [00:01:10] Everything he believes is the opposite of everything I believe. [00:01:16] What community are we a member of? [00:01:21] I mean, I ask these same questions, and that makes the left head explode. [00:01:25] They don't understand. [00:01:26] And it's not even just as they say, this is your community. [00:01:28] They think that you have a responsibility to defend that person, no matter what they do. [00:01:32] Right? [00:01:33] Yes. [00:01:34] I mean, that's the worst part, is that they're asking you to defend people that are fundamentally bad. [00:01:39] Yes, hold on there, because I want to retell everybody.
