Time Text
Thank you.
It is already Friday, Labor Day weekend.
It doesn't feel that way since many people haven't labored for half a year.
Did you know, I want to bounce this off my producer.
Did the New York Times report the Nancy Pelosi hairstyling on the last page?
I'd love to see it.
Do we have it?
Did you leave it with me yesterday?
Don't have it.
Too bad.
Yeah, we'd like to see how unprominent it is.
Did the Washington Post report it, do you know?
I don't know.
I wonder if CNN reported it.
I don't care if MSNBC reported it, but I wonder if CNN did.
The latest, of course, among men, there's always the latest now, there's a bombardment, and a big thank you to Mark Eisler for a yeoman job.
A good man, not just a good broadcaster, he's a special human being.
Nice to know special human beings in your life.
It's about as good as it gets, you know that?
Have good people in your life.
The President supposedly said they're a bunch of losers at the cemetery in France, referring to...
In this case, it was a World War I cemetery.
A couple of comments.
Why did it come out now, two months before the election, when it happened two years ago?
Anybody have a thought on that?
Every one of you has a thought on that.
Because either it's phony, or...
I guess they were waiting for the propitious moment.
It would strike me as something one would have said at the time, no?
Gee, I think I'll say it two months before the election.
Four people.
Did they conspire to not say it?
Doesn't it sound like that?
Four unnamed sources say he said these things.
The reason that it's out, or made up, and or made up at this time...
Is that he has a great following among veterans.
One of the last groups that still love America.
So, let's try to undermine that.
That's why there's also so many ads now appealing to black America on the part of the Biden campaign.
They're afraid that any black who asks, gee, who's been governing my crappy city all of my life?
Democrat.
Ooh, might that be a factor?
Gee, who created the best unemployment rate or best employment rate in black history?
Ooh, a Republican.
That strikes me as pretty dispositive, right?
Dispositive.
Who has hurt me and who has done good for me?
The answer to the first is Democrats.
The answer to the second is Republicans.
This is not complex.
The deterioration of the Atlantic from a thought magazine to another left-wing propaganda journal is really sad.
It's not shocking, but it is sad.
I still think I have a subscription, but I'm going to let it lapse.
I might as well read the Daily Kos if I just want straight leftism.
I'll just go there.
I'm sorry, I feel terrible, because there was a time when it was a thought magazine.
It was never conservative in my lifetime, but it was never leftist.
It was liberal.
It's fine.
I'll see if I have a subscription.
It's under the...
I mean, they've published some really awful, truly intellectually...
Awful, morally awful pieces.
Unnamed sources in September coming up to a November election.
It only shows how afraid they are of losing.
We'll say anything at any time.
But let me ask you a question.
Let's say the President said it.
Isn't it obvious that the four colluded with each other?
You think not one of them would have said it at the time?
Isn't that a little odd?
Hmm?
Is that not dispositif as well?
Yes.
So the man, this 47-year-old man who just randomly murdered a conservative, in which city was that in?
In Kenosha.
I'll tell you, it's very hard to keep up with the city name.
Oh, well, I thought it was Portland.
That's why I said it's hard to keep up.
It's his mistake.
But he doesn't go to the punishment room because he corrected it in time.
We have rules here on who goes to the punishment room under what circumstances.
I thought it was Portland.
So anyway, he, very proud of the fact that he murdered a man in cold blood.
I was a big Antifa member.
And the New York Times describes him as someone who would calm things down.
The New York Times lies.
I told you, there's an old phrase.
Lies, damn lies, statistics.
Now there's lies, damn lies, and the Times.
That's what it's come to.
Unless you're on the left, that is your view of the New York Times.
Okay?
Now they'll say, well, we have blinders on.
Obviously they would say that.
But there was a time when people did look to the New York Times.
I think that it always bent the truth in favor of liberalism, but now it's just, it's in the world of the Atlantic and the rest of them.
A man who tried to calm things down.
What did his sister say?
He deserved to die, right?
No great loss.
Well, I think what I said pretty much summarizes.
No great loss and deserve to die are in the same moral envelope.
But the man had, this is, I will admit, He defies my vision of Antifa members.
I still have that vision, but I acknowledge he defies it.
He has two kids who now, I assume, are even angrier.
Is there a leftist who raises a non-angry child?
Charles Blow boasted that he tells his child that whites hate him.
He wrote it in his own column.
Remember that?
Years ago.
The columns of the New York Times are all angry.
I recorded my fireside chat yesterday for release next week.
And my theme was something I have talked about on the radio.
In the course of my life, but I put it, you know, in a very concise way as I do for Fireside Chats.
How, when you grow up with traditional Judeo-Christian values, you know that the biggest problem in your life is you, and when you grow up in the secular world, especially liberal or left, you know that you believe your greatest problem is America.
That is all the difference you need to know.
You realize that?
You don't have to know any other difference between left and right, between religious and secular in particular, but there are obviously secular people who have Judeo-Christian values.
They may not believe in God, or that the Bible is divine in any way, but they have assimilated its values.
The problem is how do they transmit it to their children?
Secular conservatives are not, I don't think, effectively dealt with that problem.
When you see the difference between left and right in these terms, you really do understand it.
And what it's done is, when you tell people...
You are not the issue.
Society is the issue.
You have produced a person who will never improve their lot.
Never!
You have paralyzed.
It is as if you have paralyzed them with a stun gun.
They cannot improve the lot of their life if they believe America is their problem and not themselves.
horrible effect of the left.

There are 612,000 people in this industry in the state of California alone.
No, hang on.
That's got to be the planet.
No.
What?
612,000 people who cut hair, who run salons.
That's bigger than the steel industry of the nation.
And the reason I know this is that my cousin is one of them, and she sends me the stats all the time.
And here's the thing about those people, those 612,000 people impacted by Governor Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi's nephew's shutdown in the state, is that they're not able to collect unemployment because most of them consider themselves to be self-employed or they're independent contractors.
So while a lot of people have been able to stay at home and if they've been furloughed, they've been able to get government assistance.
It's been a fight for people in salons to be able to get the same support from the government.
They've truly been suffering.
So you also have, and this is great, it's like a pylon.
On Friday, you started having a lot of counties.
We've been doing better in California with COVID numbers.
So last Friday, Gavin Newsom comes out and he says, okay, all of those counties on the watch list that were going off, good for you.
That means they could start reopening again.
He decides he wants more control and power.
He doesn't want to let those people off the state watch list.
So he revised the system and basically shut everybody down again from scratch with the new color-coded system.
So he got rid of his county watch list and started this new color-coded system.
Mauve and magenta and puce.
It does!
It's purple.
That's the worst.
It's red, it's orange, and then it's yellow.
There is no green, and I'm paraphrasing here, but I swear this is what he said.
There is no green because we will never be back to normal again in this state.
I promise you.
But what does AOC say?
No green?
- No green, but we have a new deal. - You have been more fulsome but we have a new deal. - You have been more fulsome in your praise of this president than others I would have expected
What do you suppose it is that he has done?
Because he does seem to me like a man.
It's kind of an extraordinary thing to watch.
In your book, which is coming out soon, The Trump Century, you talk about him changing the course of history forever.
I think that's exactly correct.
So let's talk about that.
The first thing he did, Eric, was to stop the decline and the denial of America.
And it didn't take him long.
As soon as he openly changed the rhetoric of the public conversation.
He inserted God back into the public square.
He did so with tremendous, I think, deft stealth.
And then, and I'm talking, yes, about this president being stealthy.
He was remarkable.
And we saw it ring out in communities all over the country.
It's one of the least appreciated.
The accomplishments of this president.
Not only is he preserving faith in this country, but he was putting faith and God on the public agenda and on the tongues of even those who would seek to remove God again from the public square.
It's really been an astonishing accomplishment.
Along with that, his support for law and order, his support for the assertion of sovereignty in this country.
as he said from the beginning without borders up in the wall street journal Dennis Prager here yes about the more evidence that the lockdown and distancing have essentially accomplished nothing i my column this week is of course on that theme that it's gone from a mistake to a crime to give you an idea of how phony The Democrats are,
and destructive because they don't give a damn about you.
I believe that with all my heart.
I don't mean every Democrat in the country.
But Democratic politicians, they don't give a damn about people.
They give a damn about power, as all leftists in history have.
But they use people and rhetoric to fool you.
If this is not proof, then I give up.
That means you don't want to hear logic.
Why on Monday of this week, or Tuesday of this week, were the hair salons in California closed?
You would lose your license if it were known you styled hair.
Gave haircuts.
I've been getting haircuts the whole time in an illegally but morally opened place to give this woman like a speakeasy.
It's exactly right.
People laugh at prohibition, but they don't laugh at this.
Amazing.
Prohibition had actually reason behind it.
I'm not for it, but it had...
There was reasoning behind it because of the amount of havoc that alcohol wreaks on human beings.
This has no reasoning behind it.
It sounds like it's reasoning, but it's phony.
So here's my question.
You couldn't get a haircut legally, at least indoors.
This is where people prefer to have their hair done.
On Tuesday of this week.
But on Thursday of this week, yesterday, you could.
Now what happened?
Did the virus disappear?
Is there no longer a mortal threat in getting a haircut?
Did anything science change?
Did anything scientifically change?
Nothing.
But Nancy Pelosi was caught.
In a hair salon.
And then lies.
They lie.
And they call the president a liar.
I was set up.
How are you set up for a haircut?
That's why she took no questions.
That doesn't mean anything.
I was set up?
Oh, she didn't seek a haircut?
Set up means she was told, if you go here, at this time, you will meet a donor.
For your campaign.
It turns out somebody is there with scissors.
Or hair coloring.
That's a set up.
Correct?
Set up.
I'm gonna do that from now on.
You know, I told my wife, I was set up to go to that stereo store.
I had no intention.
of getting a preamplifier.
It was a setup.
It's a good one.
Guys, use it.
Women, you have no intention of getting those shoes.
You were set up.
Nancy Pelosi has contributed to the ability of people to fool themselves and others.
I appreciate that even that's a lie.
I appreciate it.
And that we can set up that time, I trusted that.
As it turns out, it wasn't set up.
So I take responsibility for falling for a setup.
And that's all I'm going to say.
Naturally, because it makes no sense.
She takes responsibility for being set up.
Right, everybody else knows the rule.
Everybody in California knows the rule.
Oh, right, so...
Ms. Pelosi, you thought that it's legal to style hair?
That salons are open, exactly, at one at a time, right?
She was set up.
She's one of the few people who could have called Newsom and just checked.
Hey, you opened up the hair salons?
You go, what are you talking about?
But that he did the day after the Pelosi event.
He's such a fraud.
It's so disgusting what they do when they get re-elected.
It is a shame on you for voting Democrat.
I'm sorry.
It's not a way to endear me to those of you who do.
I've never been guided by what will endear me.
I've been guided by goodness and truth.
I love that stuff.
What was the Superman thing?
Truth, justice, and the American way.
that's what I'm guided by.
Fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way.
You realize, you know what's fascinating?
You know what's fascinating?
That my generation was raised with that, and it had no impact.
I'm curious, because you have such a background in movies.
So I have a theory.
You know, I always have a theory, but I have a theory that the ability of television to do harm is infinitely greater than its ability to do good.
You agree with that?
If TV could have done good, then Bonanza and Father Knows Best and Superman and the like, they would have had such a...
Wonderful impact on the baby boomer, my generation.
Truth, justice, and the American way.
Today, if you said that, you'd probably be called a white supremacist.
The American way?
Yeah, the American way is white supremacy.
That's exactly correct.
That's why this is an existential election coming up.
That's the reason.
A never-Trumper turned around, became, said I'm a professor.
See that?
In the Wall Street Journal.
A never-Trumper professor said I'm voting for Trump.
We'll be back in a moment.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Thank you.
The recent unveiling of the Republican agenda for a second term gave much encouragement to many who need it.
Defeat COVID, create jobs, disentangle from China, provide school choice, teach American exceptionalism unapologetically.

I want to remind you about Pure Talk USA. Pure Talk is a service for your phone.
Very simple.
Go pound 250, say Dennis Prager, listen to the rate.
I don't know why you wouldn't do this.
I've tested it out.
I couldn't believe the rate, so I tested it on a phone.
I saw no difference between that and my expensive service.
And it's $20 a month, unlimited text, unlimited talk, 2 gigabytes of data.
Pure Talk USA. Do pound 250, say Dennis Prager.
That's it.
The magic name.
He did.
He's right.
I hear now that Mark Isley yesterday at some point lamented that he had not reached the vaunted position of being a promo code.
Look, I often say, but it's interesting, so much was clear about my few who call America cesspool are not divisive.
All whites are racist.
That's not divisive.
Get it?
The founders were scum.
That's not divisive.
Let's get rid of the Washington Monument.
That's not divisive.
Just saying, we don't agree with you, that's divisive.
Oh, God.
The lack of self-awareness on the left is pathologic.
Drawing a sharp contrast with President Trump, Joseph Biden Jr. on Thursday aligned himself strongly and sympathetically with protesters of racial injustice.
See, it's fascinating.
If the president aligned himself strongly with protesters against abortion, they would put pro-life in quotes.
Racial injustice doesn't get quotes.
Because it's just a fact.
America is permeated by racial injustice, according to the New York Times.
Well, the New York Times is located in a rapidly deteriorating place called New York City.
But people don't put two and two together.
The Times' role in destroying New York City is quite serious, advocating for all the things they have.
Did they differ with de Blasio on opening all these hotels up to the homeless?
Are you aware of any difference with de Blasio?
Do they have any differences with de Blasio?
Probably when de Blasio said, let's open schools, they probably thought he was too conservative.
Two days after Mr. Trump traveled to Kenosha.
To focus attention on street violence and disorder, Mr. Biden sought to strike a drastically different tone as he repudiated the president's divisive approach.
They don't put divisive in quotes.
You get it?
Do you understand what I'm saying?
This is a news piece.
There is no difference between the news section and the opinion section in the New York Times.
If I read to you a piece about the president from the news section...
You and said, oh, listen to this opinion piece.
You totally agree.
It's an opinion piece.
There is no distinction.
The only distinction is what page it's on.
The entire New York Times is an opinion page.
That's really what has happened.
It's astonishing.
He repudiated the president's divisive approach to matters of racial injustice.
How was the president divisive?
He condemns people who burn down buildings and who attack police and civilians?
That's divisive?
Yeah, on the left, that's divisive.
Relief factor, 800-583-84.
Let me repeat, 800-583-84.
There is no question, but there are still holdouts.
People who are in pain.
And don't want to try this.
And I am convinced that it is not the $19.95 that prevents people from doing it.
I think it's totally understandable.
You put it off.
But your pain should remind you to do it.
Give it a three-week try.

I am very worried about our country.
I'm worried about what happens.
In Louisville, there's going to be a decision whether or not they try those police officers that were involved in the no-knock raid of Breonna Taylor.
When that decision comes down, they're already threatening to burn the city down.
And we are going to preemptively need, and this is the job of the governor.
It really has to be done by governors.
That's the way our laws are written.
But if our governor doesn't have the National Guard out to the tune of a couple of thousand soldiers on the day of that, it's all on him if they burn Louisville down.
And they're already threatening to do it.
And this is happening in other cities.
And I truly agree with President Trump that if you want the country to look like Portland, that's what's going to happen if you let Joe Biden supporters and Black Lives Matter, you know, if you let them win the election.
Well, Senator, you know, the Constitution.
The Constitution calls for a federal city.
It doesn't say it has to be in D.C. Would you be in favor of, you know, keeping the mall and the White House and giving the rest back to Maryland?
I've always been in favor of letting them all go back to Maryland.
Yeah, Maryland can't get much worse with their elected representatives.
No, I think that's probably not going to happen.
I think, realistically, I think home rule is a possibility.
But the problem right now is the Democrats see the mob as their constituency.
So you haven't heard Joe Biden or Kamala Harris condemn the attack on my wife and I and our two friends.
I haven't heard a peep from them.
All Joe Biden did was pop out of somewhere and say, oh, it's all President Trump's fault.
Law enforcement is primarily the responsibility of local officials.
It's state law.
It's Democrats for 50 years that are responsible for this.

Life has an ability to...
Humble you, if you're aware of what's going on at any rate.
I've always said getting married humbles a man.
Having children humbles a man.
So I was humbled, not humiliated.
It's a very big difference.
Very big difference.
And by my friend Adam Carolla.
Completely...
Unintentionally, which made the humbling even more profound.
Because he actually wanted to do something wonderful.
Last night, I was having dinner in the outdoor part of a restaurant in my little town where I live.
And I was almost always with my wife, but she was...
I don't remember what she was doing.
She was doing something else.
So I was there alone, and just as I begin eating, a man walks over to me, and it would be most delighted to hear I was with other than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Ruling out Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Name someone, I mean, who really would blow you away that I'm with.
So he names a name, and it's not me.
He goes, ah, another one.
Name's another name, and it's not me.
Sonny, come on!
I mean, you love the guy.
Oh!
Name's another name.
Name's four names.
Adam feels a bit bad at this time.
Finally, on the fifth guest, Dennis Prager.
He did actually say my name, yes.
So the question in a moment like this is, who felt worse, Adam Carolla or Dennis Prager?
And the answer is Adam Carolla by a factor of a hundred.
I thought I wasn't cracking up.
I was totally quiet.
But inside, I was cracking up.
Who just named the name for name?
Two of which I never heard of.
He was very happy to talk to me.
Yes, that's correct.
This was a great moment.
I know Adam listens.
And you are totally welcome to call in.
I live for those moments.
Because they're real.
I just love the real.
That was a real moment.
But it's interesting, too, that the biggest name would have been Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Isn't that interesting?
Because that certainly predates his son, I mean, by decades.
Yeah.
All right.

Very different areas.
One utterly positive, one utterly negative.
That is exactly what they do.

Stalin completed a complete purge of the early Bolsheviks, including Trotsky, whom he had murdered.

The problem is, before they destroy themselves, the Left, they destroy everything else and everyone else.
They don't only destroy themselves.

Which is not a compliment, I'm just saying my nature, but it's almost as if God said to me a year ago, record these services that you're conducting because next year you won't be able to do them again.
For 14 years, I have conducted the holiest of the Jewish services.
Over 200,000 people viewed by Passover Seder, the great majority of whom were not Jewish.
Because the great majority of people are not Jewish.
Makes sense.
You could read the YouTube comments to see how it moved people.
Well, that was two hours.
This is 16 hours in 4K video.
No politics.
And it's a timeless service.
I said nothing that was rooted in the time of last year.
So if you want to be touched, Jew or non-Jew, click on the banner of my High Holy Day services at DennisPrager.com.
It just got put up.
And there'll be a lot more information going on, but at least I'm giving you...
Now you don't have to send me an email.
Now you can click on the banner.
I am so happy I recorded it last year.
I can't tell you.
As far as I'm concerned, I would have led...

The recent unveiling of the Republican agenda for a second term gave much encouragement to many who need it.
Defeat COVID, create jobs, disentangle from China, provide school choice, teach American exceptionalism unapologetically, defend the police as an institution, oppose human trafficking.
These and other measures offer sanity, flourishing, and hope to an embattled country.
No agenda can cover every issue.
Two outstanding issues need platforming, however, religious liberty and abortion.
The Trump administration has taken stands on both of these momentous matters and to good effect.
In days ahead, though, supporters of religious liberty and the unerasable humanity of the unborn need more support, not less.
Religious liberty, after all, is for this gloriously free society the first freedom.
Among other righteous ends, it enables a diverse coalition of many voices to speak on behalf of the unborn until the murderous abomination of abortion is a distant memory.

There are 612,000 people in this industry in the state of California alone.
Hang on, hang on.
That's got to be the planet.
No, 612,000 people who cut hair, who run salons.
That's bigger than the steel industry of the nation.
And the reason I know this is that my cousin is one of them, and she sends me the stats all the time.
And here's the thing about those people, those 612,000 people impacted by Governor Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi's nephews, shut down in the state, is that they're not able to collect unemployment because most of them consider themselves to be self-employed or they're independent contractors.
A lot of people have been able to stay at home and if they've been furloughed, they've been able to get government assistance.
Mauve and magenta and puce?
It does!
It's purple.
That's the worst.

You have been more fulsome in your praise of this president than others I would have expected to be.
What do you suppose it is that he has done?
Because he does seem to me like a man.
Created by God for this hour.
As soon as he openly changed the rhetoric of the public conversation, He inserted God back into the public square.

Trending now on the Hugh Hewitt Show. - I am very worried about our country.
I'm worried about what happens In Louisville, there's going to be a decision whether or not they try those police officers that were involved in the no-knock raid of Breonna Taylor.
And this is happening in other cities, and I truly agree with President Trump that if you want the country to look like Portland, that's what's going to happen if you let Joe Biden supporters and Black Lives Matter, you know, if you let them win the election.
Well, Senator, you know, the Constitution calls for a federal city.
They are, it's Democrats for 50 years that are responsible for this.

Dennis Prager here.
In an unhappy time, the Happiness Hour.
But as I explain every week, since the lockdown, not since the virus, the lockdown is the great problem.
The virus is a tragedy.
The lockdown is a crime.
Big difference between the two.
Give it to me.
Come on.
Yes, it is.
Look, if you can't have, this is the theme every week for the last half year.
If I can't do a happiness hour in an unhappy time, the happiness hour is worthless.
It's sort of like that was Abba Eben's great line in the United Nations.
He was Israel's foreign minister, the most eloquent man, I think, of his generation.
And it's worth hearing him speak.
It's quite remarkable.
E-B-A-N is his last name.
Abba, A-B-B-A, like the Swedish band.
Is ABBA a band, is that correct?
Is that the correct word for them?
I like their music, actually.
Anyway, he gave a great analogy when the United Nations pulled out the emergency forces between Egypt and Israel.
And he said, it's like the, he gave two analogies.
It's like the umbrella.
That doesn't extend when it starts to rain.
And the other one was the fire brigade that leaves when the fire begins.
So, if I didn't have a happiness hour during an unhappy period, it would be like the umbrella that doesn't work when it starts to rain.
Doesn't extend.
So it's a pretty worthless umbrella.
So these things have to work now.
I've addressed the time in which we live for months now on the Happiness Hour, and now I have sort of returned to themes that transcend this particular time in which we live.
Although the theme of today is quite...
Applicable.
Incredibly applicable to the rioters and to many, not all, of the protesters.
I opened the show with this, and it's as true for happiness as it is for living a good life, morally good life.
And I opened up by speaking about how I was raised in a religious world, and therefore it was taken for granted that the biggest battle in my life was me.
You know, this actually occurred.
You'll find this of interest looking through my producer.
I suspect that you listening will find this of interest too.
Yesterday I was on a video call with my son in Florida and his son, his second son, his younger son, who's...
I think he's four and a half.
Maybe I'm remiss as a grandfather not knowing exactly.
It was about four and a half.
So...
You know, every so often what my son will do is ask him a question so that Poppy, you know, knows what he knows and what he's thinking.
So it came up out of nowhere, but he was learning this in his religious school.
This is, in our case, Jewish.
And he said, so, Jack, that's his name.
Jack, how many brains do you have?
Jack goes, two.
I remember thinking, where is this going?
And my son said, and what's the difference between your two brains?
I have a good brain and a bad brain.
And I didn't prompt this in the least.
It came out of nowhere, and I just thought, wow.
That's the difference between a religious home.
And a non-religious home.
He explained to him the basic Jewish belief, and it is just fundamental.
The human being has two, not brains, that's the way he explained it to a four-and-a-half-year-old, but two parts of your mind.
Hebrew, the word has no perfect English translation.
It means creative urge.
Will.
You get the point.
One is towards good and one is towards evil.
We have a scene.
I don't know why you all...
I guess I was going to say, I don't know why you all haven't watched this.
It's free.
It's on the internet.
And I know why you haven't all watched it, because I so rarely mention it.
The way the living martyr and I met...
Was to write, he and another woman were the co-authors, and then I was a co-author of, for goodness sake, David Zucker put this together.
The great David Zucker of airplane fame.
And his producer, Rich Markey.
God bless him for bringing us all together.
And we produced this film, this video, on goodness.
And it holds up terrifically.
It just holds up, because the themes are eternal.
And there's a scene with Jason Alexander, which exactly illuminates this point about the two sides of our brain.
Jason Alexander is in an electronics store, and he's buying an expensive item for his home, and he pays for it, and the guy at the counter brings him a better model than he paid for.
He makes a mistake.
Jason Alexander looks at it, and he is thrilled.
Oh, man.
I'm getting...
I paid for the cheaper model, and I'm getting the best model.
So as he's walking out, there were two Jason Alexander voices talking to him.
One saying, All right, man!
Wow!
You know, we could find it.
I would love to play it.
It is so good.
From For Goodness Sake, which you could all see.
It's really...
Every one of you should show it to your kids.
If you care about goodness, and every one of you does.
So Jason Alexander has these two voices and one is going, "Oh man, what a gr-- oh, are you lucky?" And then...
Babe, I can't believe it.
You could never afford this.
The R5UC, four-head digital audio tracking, flying erase, and Unicommander remote.
Guys, I want hi-fi stereo sound as much as anyone, but you can't just walk out with something you didn't pay for.
Come on, babe, come on.
Look at this place.
It's huge.
Just leave with it.
It's not gonna make any difference.
Anyway, it was their mistake.
But it's wrong.
It's no different than stealing.
Don't listen to him.
He's stupid.
He's a pinhead.
You feel fine.
Fine.
Fight!
Fight!
Let's go!
I'm bringing it back.
No!
If you don't teach kids, you have to fight you.
What we are seeing in America today is the product of the moronic, moronic, foolish, wisdom-free upbringing of two generations.
America's the problem, not their nature.
And this is the clearest example of how goodness and happiness are tied together.
1-8 Prager 776. Battling your nature.
The Dennis Prager Show.
Live from the Relief Factor Pain-Free Studio.
It's a funny thing, isn't it, isn't it, that Trump is so bold that he makes previous Republican presidents look weak?
It's very odd to me that anybody could have come into our history and have done that, but he really has done that, and he's driven some of them insane.
Obviously, the late John...
McCain and Mitt Romney, and he seems to have driven them over the edge and exposed them for something less than genuine American-loving conservatives.
As if they ever were.
There wouldn't have been a pretense on their part had it not been for the left-wing media trying to put, for example, John McCain on the air on almost every Sunday talk show host every year.
Because he would be the first to rebut, rebuke, and rebel against the Republican Party and conservatives.
And so they held him up as their fair and balanced caricature that they would put up on those Sunday talk shows to denigrate the Republican Party and God-fearing, law-abiding citizens.
Well, when you have people like John Kasich, my goodness, a former GOP candidate for the presidency going over to their side.
And if their side were the Joe Biden of 20 years ago, that would be bad enough.
But when their side is effectively the party of AOC and Ilhan Omar and the rest, a kind of madness has overtaken the left.

Well, you know, we've we were staying at the hotel, so we made that journey.
Luckily, I have a Secret Service detail.
You know, it's the number two most threatened person.
Under their protection, they wouldn't have let me walk back with Rand Paul.
But what happened was disgusting, and not just to Rand and Kelly, but to everyone else.
And I think it shows you the level of hatred that the Joe Biden voters have, that the radical left has.
More importantly, it also shows you their ignorance.
When they started attacking Rand Paul, screaming, say her name, as it relates to Breonna Taylor, not even knowing that Rand Paul...
Was the guy who introduced the legislation with her name on it to prevent no-knock raids, which is obviously a very libertarian sort of view.
So these people attack the person who is literally the champion of their cause, you know, because the Democrat talking points say that all Republicans are bad and aren't doing anything.
Meanwhile, the Republicans are the ones that were actually doing something about what they had a problem with.
It shows you the level of hatred.
It shows you the level of ignorance.
You know, it shows you that they're blindly following.
because they weren't informed enough to know the basics of the case, it's pretty a sad state of affairs.
What's this?

Hey, everybody.
Dennis Prager, Happiness Hour.
It doesn't get more important than this.
There are 400 topics that are tied for first.
You know, I level with you because so often I will say on the Happiness Hour, Yeah, I'll tell you folks, it's really nothing more important than this one.
And I'm right.
I'm serious about it.
But I realize how often I have said, I don't think 400 times, I would say I've said it about on 30 different occasions.
But it doesn't mean it's not true.
That's why I don't say it's the most important.
However, having said that, see, gratitude...
Is the most important.
But even gratitude is fighting your nature because nature isn't grateful.
Human nature is not grateful.
If it were, here's the proof.
How many times would you have to say to your kid, say thank you?
Say thank you.
The average parent must say 10,000 times, say thank you.
If our nature were grateful, you'd have to tell the kid once, right?
And the kid would think, oh, of course, I'm so grateful when someone does something good to me.
Kind for me.
Generous.
You have to battle your nature to be happy.
You have to battle your nature to be good.
Did you teach your kids that?
If you did, there's a much better chance they came out happy.
And decent.
A lot of good parents didn't teach that.
Being a good person doesn't mean you'll be a good parent.
That's why so often, it's not the only reason.
I mean, there's a lot of, there's not a lot, but there is certainly, in many cases, let's put it this way, there's often a lot of luck in how your kid turns out, too.
Sometimes they turn out better than you deserve.
Sometimes they turn out worse than you deserve.
I don't mean deserve as a human being, deserve in terms of your parenting.
There's both.
There are terrific parents with crappy kids.
There are crappy parents with terrific kids.
But in general, good parenting leads to good results.
And good parenting must begin with fighting your nature.
Why do you think I have said so often the most important question aside from God's existence, specifically the God of the Ten Commandments and of the Bible?
Otherwise, I don't know what God you're talking about because it's not relevant to my point.
But aside from that, is the question of are people basically good?
If you believe people are basically good, then why battle your nature?
Why would you battle goodness?
Right?
That's the happiness.
So here's the perfect example of where the moral and the happy coincide.
People often ask, are good people happier?
Well, good people are happier because they've mastered their nature.
And in mastering your nature, you have become a happier human being.
So the exact same route to goodness is the route to happiness.
All the angry people out there blaming America, black and white, are miserable.
Right?
And why would that be?
Because they think that America is their problem, not them.
When I heard and saw my four-and-a-half-year-old learn he has to battle himself, aside from being proud of my son, raising him, obviously with his wife.
Not obviously, but I just wanted to add that.
I don't want you to think he's a single father.
I've got a wonderful wife.
But that's very lucky on my grandchild's heart.
Thank you.
The earlier you learn you have to master your nature, the happier a human being you will be.
1-8 Prager 776. So here's a question.
It's a toughie, but I open up with you, and in turn, all these decades you have opened up to me.
Did you teach that to your child?
If you have a miserable child, miserable in a whole host of ways, I'm not talking about people with clinical depression, so put that aside, where chemistry is the problem.
But if you have a miserable child, in terms of values, in terms of happiness, did you teach them your biggest battle?
Is with you.
With your nature.
This could have been an Ultimate Issues Hour.
No question.
Sometimes they elide.
Sean, do you know the word elide?
I knew it.
You know, I'm batting almost a thousand in knowing when I have introduced Sean to a new word.
Are we going to hear it on the computer, Sean?
That's the usual with a new word.
E-L-I-D-E.
That's cute.
He's not spelling it well enough.
That's true.
It's hard to spell a word you've never heard of.
That's why I don't understand these kids who win spelling bees.
Where they, you know, are given words that I never heard of as well.
1-8 Prager...
I'm sorry.
It's a new voice.
Thank you.
I don't know.
It's not a serious voice.
That is the big deal.
Indeed, were you taught this?
It's the root.
It's been the root to my happiness.
I mean, it's one of the roots.
It's not the only thing.
That's right.
Now, that guy said, not because he's masculine.
I actually, by the way, for your edification and instruction.
I listen to books a lot.
I have no preference for a male reader over a female reader.
I have only a preference for a good reader.
All right.
I will take your calls on this unbelievably important subject.

And the Happiness Hour topic today is completely related to a topic I could have easily had on the Ultimate Issues Hour.
There's no happiness if you're not taught early on that you must battle your nature every day of your life.
Otherwise, if you follow your nature, that is your human nature, you will be an unhappy human being.
That's the way it works.
Now, if you have a certain spirit in you, you should follow that.
Obviously, if you love music and you want to...
Do a lot of music?
You should do a lot of music.
I'm not talking about that source or form of nature.
But human nature, we all have human nature.
Human nature is profoundly flawed.
There is no area where it's not obvious.
You eat what you want, you'll be unhealthy.
Okay?
I mean, it's so obvious.
99.9% of us prefer ice cream sundaes to lima beans.
Just the way it works.
Or broccoli.
I like broccoli.
By the way, I like both, lima beans and broccoli.
However, I way prefer ice cream sundae.
So if you eat what your nature wants, you will...
I'm an unhealthy human being.
If you do what your nature wants in any arena, without herbs, you will self-destruct and probably destroy others in the meantime.
This is the root of America's problem today.
Two generations of young Americans.
In our wisdom-free secular culture, we're not taught to battle their nature.
That's it.
That's the root of the problem.
And so when things go wrong, they don't realize it might be them.
No, not me.
I can't.
I'm not the source of problems in my life.
America is.
That's it.
And this is a message that is given over to everyone, but given over to black America in particular.
If you have issues, everybody does in life, please know it is America that is causing it.
Not you.
Can't think of a more...
If racists...
Designed a message to hurt blacks.
That would be the message.
But it's vast numbers of whites who suffer from this as well.
And not just America.
Parents.
Right?
Source of my problems are my parents.
By the way, if you are 11 and you're being abused by them, that's true.
But if you're 40, you have to...
I mean, if you were abused by...
I can't discuss that because, thank God, I not only didn't endure it, I don't know...
I mean, I know one person who has.
She has overcome it.
But it is a very bad thing.
But if you were not abused, and I don't use the word in its widest sense, but in its narrowest, truly abused, I understand it.
But most people were not.
You have to look in.
How do I control me?

So these people attack the person who is literally the champion of their cause, you know, because the Democrat talking points say that all Republicans are bad and aren't doing anything.
Meanwhile, the Republicans are the ones that were actually doing something about what they had a problem with.
It shows you the level of hatred.
It shows you the level of ignorance.
You know, it shows you that they're blindly following.
because they weren't informed enough to know the basics of the case, it's pretty a sad state of affairs.

We know now that the cultural elites, whether it's New York Times or CNN or the folks at Yale and Harvard, have abdicated whatever sense they had of the founders' vision of America.
And it's why Donald Trump got elected and by God's grace will be reelected.
What is your sense of where we are right now in this country?
We are in crisis and we are nearing extremists.
Okay, everybody, the happiness hour, the happiness hour, and this is as big as it gets.
you Thank you.
But there are other major themes, too.
Hey guys, how come there is this big yellow line right up my face on the video feed?
That's new.
Do you see it?
Yeah, really bad news.
But it is what it is.
Just alerting the folks who run the video, there is a flaw in the transmission.
However, flaws are...
We lived with or conquered.
But flaws in our nature?
That's the problem.
How many kids in America since World War II were raised to believe the biggest issue in their lives is their own nature?
You want to know the roots of our riots?
Kids?
Not even kids.
Adults.
Who weren't raised to believe the biggest problem in their life is their nature.
But America.
Back to JT. Who has lived this attitude, correct?
You know, I find that I'm the happiest in my life, Dennis, when I'm living the way that my conscience is at peace with.
When I'm doing what I know I should do.
And as a natural man, I make mistakes.
And that's when that feeling leaves.
And then I've got to repent and turn things around.
And in my age of 57 years old...
I've learned to do better and better and better, but I still battle that, but I'm grateful to have that knowledge that we are naturally against the good, and so every day we have to combat it, and we do things to do that.
Well, you're a credit to your faith, my friend.
That's exactly right.
Look, everyone knows.
You know who knows this the best?
I think.
Our recovering addict, right?
They realize, wow, every day, and it is, it's an everyday thing, and I bless people who are recovering.
Every day, they have to conquer their nature, and every day, they're happier that they did.
Is there any addicted person who's happy?
Right?
Thank you so much for taking my call.
This is so exciting for me.
Oh, thank you.
So I just heard you mention addiction and the reason why I was calling because I was listening to you as I often do and I was thinking about my cousin who is a recovered heroin addict and through his recovery he He produced a whole lot of music, punk rock music, which I'm not super into listening to, but punk rock music, where he was describing the battle that he had to fight with his nature.
And I don't like the songs, because they're too loud for me, but the lyrics are brilliant.
And my favorite song of his is called, Yatesahara, go away, we don't like you, shut up.
And he's screaming it at the top of his lungs.
Yatesahara, go away, we don't like you, shut up.
Yatesahara, go away, we don't like you, shut up.
And I use that song as a teaching tool for my children.
When my daughter wants to hit her sister, I tell her, Yitzahara, go away.
We don't like you.
Shut up.
And she stops.
I love it.
Yitzahara is the bad urge, what I was telling you about earlier.
Yes.
My son is teaching his son, and I taught my son and sons.
Yes.
So my cousin saved his own life.
I love that.
I've got to look it up.
Yitzahara, go away.
Yes.
I don't remember the name of the album, and I don't remember the name of the group, but his last name is Romanov, and it's a Jewish punk rock band.
Oh, you know, you're talking to a guy who knows every Jewish punk rock band.
Oh, okay, so then maybe he knows it already.
I'm kidding.
I was 100% kidding.
This is completely foreign territory to me.
And would be for me, too, if it wasn't for this powerful message.
No, obviously, yes.
Anyway, it's great.
I'm glad he does it.
He's doing his service.
Tell him from me.
God bless him.
And I mean it, as you know.
It's a hurry.
Go away.
So Sean asks a very probing question.
Which is a thicker volume?
Jewish punk rock bands or Jewish athletes?
You know, under other circumstances, you would be fired for anti-Semitism.
You understand that.
However, since it was so funny what you said, it is entirely accurate and excusable.
I got that.
Famous Jewish athletes is my famous story from my bar mitzvah.
And I'll never forget, it was both somewhat thin and giant print.
Plus, the pictures took up like a page.
Oh, man.
That's correct.
All right, we'll come back in a moment.
I think these punk rock bands, I'm not joking.
I mean, the people doing it with good lyrics, they'll touch people I could never reach.
I think it's magnificent.
Well, that's what you need to know.
Yeats or Hurray, go away.
My four-and-a-half-year-old grandson's learning it.
He'll be a happier man.

It's a funny thing, isn't it, that Trump is so bold that he makes previous Republican presidents look weak.
It's very odd to me that anybody could have come into our history and have done that.
But he really has done that.
And he's driven some of them insane, obviously.
The late John McCain and Mitt Romney, and he seems to have driven them over the edge and exposed them for something less than genuine American-loving conservatives.
As if they ever were.
There wouldn't have been a pretense on their part had it not been for the left-wing media.
Trying to put, for example, John McCain on the air on almost every Sunday talk show host every year because he would be the first to rebut, rebuke.
And rebel against the Republican Party and conservatives.
And so they held him up as their fair and balanced caricature that they would put up on those Sunday talk shows to denigrate the Republican Party and God-fearing law-abiding citizens.
Well, when you have people like John Kasich, my goodness, a former GOP candidate for the presidency.
Going over to their side, and if their side were the Joe Biden of 20 years ago, that would be bad enough.
But when their side is effectively the party of AOC and Ilhan Omar and the rest, a kind of madness has overtaken the left.

Good day, Donald Trump Jr. Welcome back to the Hugh Hewitt Show.
Congratulations on liberal privilege.
Thank you very much, my friend.
Good to be back with you.
You know, did you stay at the residence on Thursday night or did you participate in DC's version of the Hunger Games?
Well, you know, we were staying at the hotel, so we made that journey.
So these people...
Hi, everybody. everybody.
Tommy.
Happiness Hour here.
Let's go to Sacramento, California.
Steven, hello.
Hi, Dennis.
Let me take you off the speaker.
Hi, Dennis.
My nature growing up was really to blame other people for things that were going wrong.
And that worked until I started getting older and I started realizing, obviously, some of the times it was my fault, but I had to fight my nature to blame other people.
So I started looking at myself to see if I had anything to do with what was wrong.
And it turned out that a lot of times, if not most of the times, it was my fault.
And it's really been very liberating to fight the nature of blaming other people for my problems and situations I've had.
I don't do that anymore.
I look at myself first.
And it's really liberating because I get to actually find the culprit right away.
It's usually me.
And it's a much better way to live.
I am curious, what are you politically, conservative or liberal?
Oh, I'm not conservative, and you have a lot to do with that, Dennis.
Well, I... I say you're 80% of the reason I'm registered Republican right now.
Wow.
Well, another call that made my day.
That's why I consider, one of the many reasons I consider this...
Program so important in my life, and hopefully, because it's important in others' lives.
Why, by the way, it reminds me to tell you about PragerTopia.
If you can't hear all three hours, not every station broadcasts all three hours.
Many do two of them.
I wish they all did three, but that is life.
And if you can't hear it all, PragerTopia, you can hear everything without commercials at $5 a month.
So it's not the money that stops people.
People are reluctant to take the time.
Pragertopia.com That is the answer.
I knew he'd say conservative.
As soon as you say that I am the primary problem in my life and not society, you can't possibly be a leftist.
Definitional to leftism is, I don't usually bring politics into the happiness hour, but I'm not going to not do it if it's utterly relevant, and it's utterly relevant.
This is a chasm in America.
It's not just left-right.
It's those who understand that they have to fight themselves and those who think that they have to fight America.
I'm okay.
You're okay.
America sucks.
That's their motto.
And I very rarely use that term.
All right, Elizabeth, Don, Rob, Alan, Robert, Matt, I wish I could have taken your calls.
Now, folks, call in on any subject under the sun.

The media has decided they want Joe Biden to win.
They will not talk about his 50 years of failure.
I mean, Hugh, he's been a Washington, D.C. elected official for half a century.
I was negative eight.
I was negative eight, and I'm old as dirt when Joe Biden first took office in D.C. And they're running him like he's an undefined Democrat candidate.
And I started looking at this guy, and I couldn't believe how much I found.
Things that would be totally disqualifying, things that the media, any reasonable media, would be covering, or if it was Donald Trump doing it, would certainly be covering.
It would be global news.
I saw it was all missing.
So it's literally me taking on the media.
So this book isn't just for MAGA fans.
This book is for anyone who's on the fence, anyone who's an independent, who hasn't been told the full story.
Once you see the level of corruption of Joe Biden, the level of stupidity, the dangers of his health.
I interview Ronnie Jackson, the White House doctor, who was Obama's White House doctor, you know, for eight years talking about the cognitive decline and Joe Biden's brain aneurysms.
I mean, Joe Biden's had two explosions in his brain that required surgery.
And obviously there's no cause and effect when he can't remember where he is On a daily basis, there's nothing to see here.
I mean, imagine that happened to Donald Trump if he had those kind of surgeries where any doctor worth their salt would tell you, like, it's almost impossible to be 100% normal out of it.
All these things that anyone in the media should have been doing, but they don't because they've decided to be left-wing activists rather than journalists.

Two outstanding issues need platforming, however.

That's bigger than the steel industry of the nation!
So while a lot of people have been able to stay at home, and if they've been furloughed, they've been able to get government assistance, it's been a fight for people in salons to be able to get...
the same support from the government they've truly been suffering so You also have, and this is great, it's like a pylon.
So he got rid of his county.
It does!
It's purple.
That's the worst.
It's red, it's orange, and then it's yellow.
There is no green, and I'm paraphrasing here, but I swear this is what he said.
There is no green because we will never be back to normal again in this state.
I promise you.
But what does AOC say?
No green?
- We have a new deal. - You have been more fulsome in your praise of this president than others I would have expected to be.
What do you suppose it is that he has done?
Because he does seem to me like a man Created by God for this hour.
The accomplishments of this president, not only is he preserving faith in this country, but he was putting faith and God on the public agenda and on the tongues of even those who would seek to remove God again from the public square.
It's really been an astonishing accomplishment.
Along with that, his support for law and order, his support for the assertion of sovereignty in this country.
As he said from the beginning, without borders, there is no nation.

Hmm.
Yeah.
All right.
We'll go on anyway.
We're going to forgive him today.
He didn't do the opening that we opened the third hour on Friday.
Well, I wasn't going to...
Ah, here we are.
Ah, look.
You deserve the punishment, but I wouldn't have sent you there.
All right, everybody.
Now I'm in the mood.
Not to punish him to do the third hour on Friday.
Whatever's on your mind, everybody, about you, about me, about life, about death, and, of course, about classical music, audio equipment, photography equipment, fountain pens, and cigars.
Anything on those subjects brings a smile to my face.
People, the happiness that hobbies bring, I saw last night, I mentioned earlier, while I was eating at a rare time on my own, because I'm usually with my wife, at dinner, and I was eating in a restaurant, and outdoors, obviously.
You can eat indoors in an airplane, two inches from a stranger.
But you can't eat six, ten feet away from a stranger in a restaurant.
Get the logic?
I don't.
It's because Gavin Newsom is committing a crime against the people of California and is getting away with it because who's going to take him on?
The San Francisco Chronicle?
The Los Angeles Times?
CNN? The docility of the American people in the face of tyranny?
is unique in American history.
This is a tyranny, California.
I never use words for dramatic impact alone.
They're either true or not true.
Anyway, I was sitting there, and all of a sudden, a man comes by.
It's Adam Carolla.
He was walking in the neighborhood.
We spoke for about an hour.
We had a wonderful time.
He's a special human being.
You can see us together in no safe spaces.
It's a great film, by the way.
The DVD is going to be coming out very shortly.
And a guy in the next table saw Adam and immediately started talking to him about cars.
So I understood that I should just resume reading my newspapers because this would be a while, which is fine with me.
I have no problem with that because I completely related.
As I said to Adam after they were speaking, if somebody had started talking to me about audio equipment, I would have done the same thing.
My point is the happiness that hobbies can bring.
The joy that Adam had in talking about cars I completely related to.
Anyway, this is the hour that is whatever is on your mind hour.
If I let you go, don't be insulted.
It has nothing to do with you personally.
It just might be a topic that may not be one I want to talk about now.
Maybe too esoteric.
For public consumption, there could be any number of reasons.
Okie dokie!
Alright, let's go to Vincent in San Antonio, Texas.
Hello.
Hey, hello, hello.
You know what?
I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to visit with you.
I'm going to be as quick as possible because I know on this hour a lot of people want to call, but I'm going to be honest with you.
I've always had an amazing life with my dad.
My mom and dad started a tailor shop back.
In the 60s, and they ran it here in San Antonio for many, many, many years.
Mom died about 17 years ago.
And so for 17 years, I took my dad everywhere to get him out of his depression.
I mean, I took him, and I was busy, busy, busy with him.
And one of the things that we always did together was listen to your show.
And I've got to thank you for the great memories of listening to the show with you and my dad, because I'm always going to remember this.
Now, dad died Saturday.
I miss him a great deal, but you know what?
I want to just tell you real quick.
The biggest memories I've ever had was when we traveled and we got to hear your show until it started to fade, but we switched to another channel, and we'd have an instant happiness hour when we switch and pick over another station that was carrying your program.
And so there was a lot of great memories.
Now, here's the final thing.
On his last days, my dad told me, I want you to do me a favor.
He says, I'm not going to know.
That this is happening, but I want to know now that it's going to happen.
When I die and I'm on my way to the cemetery, I want you to stop by my house and stop for about 10 seconds.
I said, why is that, Dad?
He said, because I want to stop with this feeling that I'm picking up your mother on my way home.
And I said, wow, you know, so I did for him.
I did everything for him.
I listened to the show and everything.
What I'm trying to get through is this.
If anyone out there has a parent that's in a nursing home and has just been there for years and you've neglected, Don't miss on the opportunity to go because it's the greatest feeling you'll have.
I'm missing right now, but I have no guilt.
And let me tell you, when a person dies and there's no guilt, it feels great.
You're right.
I'm sorry to let you go, but because you've been very eloquent, I kept you on.
I'm very touched at the role I played in you and your father's life.
And he's absolutely right on the guilt.
I wonder about those children who have stopped communicating with parents.
In most cases, not legitimately in my opinion.
When the parent dies, will they have guilt?
I don't know.
I'm just asking the question.
That's it.
Thank you, Vincent.
And Justin in San Antonio as well.
Hi.
Mr. Prager, thank you for taking my call.
Before I get to my question, I just want to say that after Ravi Zacharias died, I immediately regretted never seeing him speak, so I decided that day I needed to talk to at least once the other man who helped bring me to God, and that man is you.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mr. Prager.
You've changed my life more than you'll ever know.
Well, I'm glad.
Thank you for telling me.
Of course.
My question is, is there anywhere you think the founders went wrong when setting up this country?
I can't think of one.
That's interesting.
It's a good question.
Off the top of my head, I cannot think of one.
The reason for the three-fifths compromise on blacks being counted for congressional representation was so that the southern slave states not have more power.
It wasn't because this staggering lie of the left that they thought that blacks were three-fifths of a white.
The whole point of the three-fifths clause was so that southern states have less clout and not include slaves in their numbers and population.
The North did not want slaves counted at all.
The South wanted them...
Even though they couldn't vote, they wanted them to be counted fully so that they would have more Congress people, correct?
So the compromise was three-fifths.
So that's always pointed to as an error, but it wasn't an error.
It was the only way to keep the South of the Union and not have them count slaves as voters and thereby increase the clout of slave states.
Otherwise, these guys were geniuses.
It was as close to a perfect system as human beings could make.
That's why the left hates it.
The bad hate the good.
Okay?
Okay.
Thank you.
The miserable hate the happy.
The bad hate the good.
The chaotic hate the order.
Who hate the founders?
It tells us nothing about the founders and it tells us anything we need to know about you.
Alrighty, everybody.
Let's go to Angela in Cleveland.
Hi, Angela.
Hi, Dennis.
It's so nice to talk with you.
Thank you.
We don't get a lot of chances to Talk about some of the other good things that the president and his administration does because the media gets hijacked by whatever topic of the day instead of really...
All right, we'll come back and I'll let you tell me and then when we do come back, if you're in the speakerphone, speak into the phone.

All right, so back to Angela in Cleveland.
Go ahead.
Hi.
Okay, so the first thing that the Trump administration did to help kids in foster care or in placement in general, because it's not necessarily foster care, it can be in a group home placement, is that they passed the Families First Act, which is legislation that loosens the way child welfare agencies can use their funding so that they can Use some more newer evidence-based practices when they're working with families trying to prevent kids from entering into foster
care in the first place.
And then on the back end of that, it also changes the amount of time that the child welfare agencies can have a child staying in a group home.
And so for people that don't know what a group home or congregate care is, it's very much akin to...
An orphanage, a modern-day orphanage.
Right, so the reason you're telling us this is so that we be aware of another good thing that he has done?
Correct, and this is one of the four things that he has done to help out this particular population of vulnerable.
Thank you.
I can't obviously hear all of them now, but you're right.
People who care about tweets hate the president.
People who care about America Support the President.
It is not possible, in my opinion, I know you can emotionally care for America, but you cannot intellectually, morally care for this country and vote Democrat.
I know it sounds terrible because so many people think they love the country and will vote Democrat.
But I do not excuse naivete in adults.
You are willfully ignorant if you do not believe the Democratic Party is ruining America.
You have decided, you have chosen to be ignorant.
I know people who have made this choice, who are wonderful, who love this country emotionally, but it doesn't matter.
The leftist who hates the country and the liberal who loves the country do the same exact amount of damage to the country when they vote Democrat.
Get it?
There is no difference between the liberal who loves the country and the leftist who hates the country.
None.
You are judged by what you do, not what you feel.
Grow up.
And if you grow up, you will not vote Democrat.
There was a time when you could be a grown-up and vote for either party.
That is not the case today.
Okey-dokey.
Dale, Detroit.
Hello.
How you doing, Dash?
Good to talk to you again.
Thank you.
This is Dale with a D as in W. Oh yeah, I remember that.
Yes, that's right.
Gotcha.
By the way, I'm a little disappointed in you.
A little side note, a little disappointed in you.
You made up this great word, repugent, but you failed to spell it with two Ps.
Knowing you, you should have spelled it P-N-E-P-H. T-I-G-E-N-T. And that's how you should have spelled it.
I have to think that through.
Yeah.
All right.
Go ahead, Dale.
Earlier this week, you had someone talking about the CDC numbers for COVID and that they were claiming that there were not any excess deaths beyond what the COVID deaths were?
They do claim there are excess deaths.
That's the problem with just saying there are two separate issues.
94% of those who are listed as dying of COVID had something else they died from.
So if you get a heart attack and had COVID, you're listed as a COVID death.
So that raises great questions with regard to the numbers who have been killed by COVID. However, on the other side, because we have to all be honest, that's number one, is to tell the truth.
They claim that there is the same number of excess deaths in the first six months of the year as the number of COVID deaths.
So that would suggest that these people did die of COVID. So I looked at the CDC numbers, and I'm not going to say fishy, because what's happening is That the last four weeks of the numbers aren't updated completely.
And what's interesting is they only had up through week 33 on that day, and they had through week 34. And all the numbers change, even back in 2019. And what ends up happening is you basically got to throw away the last four weeks because they're just not up to date.
Alright, the only question is, is it true that there are excess deaths?
Is it true?
Yes, it is.
And there's about 40,000, even if you say all of those COVID deaths that are counting, even the whole 100%, there's still 40,000 more deaths, even above and beyond all of the COVID deaths.
That doesn't argue against there being COVID death.
We'll see if the excess death toll in the course...
I don't know if you could do it in just six months.
We'll see it over the course of a year.
And look, I'm skeptical only because I don't fully trust the CDC. I don't fully distrust them either.
But we have to be honest, if the excess deaths coincide...
More or less, with the deaths attributed to COVID, that would seem to suggest that they are indeed deaths from COVID. Okadoke, Adam in Long Island, New York.
Hello.
Hi, Mr. Prager.
Thank you for your tireless effort, and may I wish you be written and inscribed for a good and sweet year.
I hope so.
I'm a New York City public school teacher.
I am also a conservative.
How do I reconcile being a conservative and also being a part of the teachers' union?
Beats me.
You stumped me.
I don't know what else I can tell you.
You've got to send me an email.
I want to know your story.
Teachers unions are as prime an example of the left ruins everything it touches.
The teaching profession was a noble one until the left took it over.
The teaching profession was a noble one until the left took it over.
How is it possible, Mike, Secretary Pompei, how is it possible that ISIS is no longer a headline story like it was for years and years and years under Obama?
Focus and President Trump would be my two answers, and they are related.
We went after it with the vigor and energy that said this is a serious matter.
You remember this.
When the administration began, they were beheading Americans.
You remember the video?
Yes.
People in cages.
They controlled a huge piece of real estate the size of the United Kingdom.
And President Trump just said enough and unleashed our capabilities, our military, our intelligence capabilities, all of our diplomatic efforts to get our partners and allies.
We built a coalition of 80-plus countries, and we crushed the caliphate.
And, you know, counterterrorists still exist.
There's still work to do.
It's the state of nature in some sense.
But that risk, the fact that it's not in the news every day, is a direct result of the good work that's been done under President Trump's leadership.
Focus and leadership from the Commander-in-Chief and his team.
Okay, let's talk about the news that really the mainstream fake news industrial complex, the legacy media, doesn't want to talk about.
A historic flight and also a historic deal.
I'm a cynic.
Travel through the Middle East and I've said unsolvable problems there.
Maybe I was wrong.
Talk to us about the significance of the deal that has been brokered by your good offices, the president and his envoys.
So the president said about fundamentally upending the policies of the previous administration with respect to the Middle East.
Previous administration said we're going to make the Islamic Republic of Iran the anchor tenant in our mall.
President Trump said...
That doesn't work.

It's a funny thing, isn't it, that Trump is so bold that he makes previous Republican presidents look weak.
It's very odd to me that anybody could have come into our history and have done that, but he really has done that, and he's driven some of them insane.
Obviously, the late John McCain and Mitt Romney, and he seems to have driven them over the edge and exposed them for something less than genuine American-loving conservatives.
Right.
As if they ever were.
There wouldn't have been a pretense on their part had it not been for the left-wing media trying to put, for example, John McCain on the air on almost every Sunday talk show host every year.
Because he would be the first to rebut, rebuke, and rebel against the Republican Party and conservatives.
And so they held him up as their fair and balanced caricature that they would put up on those Sunday talk shows to denigrate the Republican Party and God-fearing law-abiding citizens.

Ladies and gentlemen, Dennis Prager here.
One of the most remarkable men in America, if not the world.
Some say the galaxy is my guest.
Eric Metaxas, I was told to say that because you wanted a really, really bombastic introduction.
It's in my contract.
You have to say that.
Nobody expects you to believe it.
Dennis, my friend, thank you for having me on.
I just get happy hearing your voice.
It is mutual.
It is mutual.
Are you enjoying Manhattan?
I wouldn't go that far.
Well, actually, yes and no.
The wonderful thing about not being wealthy is if you live in a wealthy area, all the wealthy people have gone to their big second homes where they're in the shutdown.
And so we have most of the city to ourselves here.
Authors are not wealthy.
And so, you know, if you want to live in a nice neighborhood during a pandemic, you can have the neighborhood to yourself.
I saw a beautiful video of you handing out my Bible commentary to some homeless people, and I want to thank you.
You know what?
I didn't know that I was being videotaped.
We're always being videotaped right now.
A guy who looks like me was videotaped during those D.C. riots, and it's just an amazing thing.
Eric Metaxas, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the handful of truly funny people.
And by the way, as a truly...
No, no.
That is the truth.
And he does it deliberately.
There are people who are funny unintentionally.
But he is deliberately so.
And very profound.
We have a great time when we're together.
It is about one-third trading insults and two-thirds profound stuff about life.
Is that fair to say?
That sounds like a good friendship, I have to tell you.
I need more friends like you.
I have just a handful, but that sums it up, my friend.
That sums it up.
You do need more friends like me.
I agree with you.
You've got to leave Manhattan to get them.
Yeah, well...
I've been telling you this for a long time.
Anyway, Eric Metaxas, author of a number of books, one of which I've read a number of his books, including the great one about the abolition of slavery.
And, of course, his book on Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who died as a Christian opposing the Nazis, is a classic.
And now he has a new book out.
He also has fun books out.
His latest is Donald and the Fake News.
It's a humor book, just in case people keep thinking it's a kid's book.
It's a humor book for adults, but it can work as a kid's book because it's meant to look like a kid's book.
But adults are going to get the humor, it's political humor, making fun of...
There's a character with a gavel named Madame Miss Speaker.
She's the head of the Resistance.
There's a crazy old man in a deli who looks a little bit like Bernie.
It's a lot of adult humor, but it's a simple story.
Of what is fake news and why we need to understand it.
It's fun, folks.
It's part of his series, Donald the Caveman book series.
Anyway, it's up at DennisPrager.com, so folks, please check it out and please get it.
But the primary reason we're talking now is that the new documentary, Trump 2024, is coming out.
Is it coming out this weekend?
I was told the primary reason we were talking was to plug Donald and the fake news.
So the answer to that is, I don't know.
But people need to go to SalemNow.com and they can find it.
Actually, look, all joking aside, you and I, we're both in it.
It's a documentary about what the significance of this presidency is.
And I don't say president, I say presidency because...
We're talking about an administration of people who are doing things for the American people that haven't been done before.
You know, we've elected all these Republicans and things, and they don't seem to get to it.
I think that they take social conservatives and conservatives and evangelicals pretty much for granted, the way the Democrats have taken black voters for granted.
It's like they think, hey, where are you going to go?
We don't need to do anything for you.
Where else are you going to go?
It has taken seriously a number of things that it's just astounding to me that he's the guy doing the things that you would have hoped others would have done.
I mean, moving the embassy to Jerusalem is the most obvious and insane thing.
They all said they were going to do it.
Nobody had the guts to do it.
He did it.
What happened?
Nothing.
You know, except he just looks better and better for doing the things that he said.
I was talking today to somebody.
I was laughing that this president actually brought back the idea of keeping your campaign promises.
In my lifetime, it just became a joke.
Because not only would they break their promises, usually they would simply never mention them again.
Never.
Yes, exactly.
Hold on a moment, because I've got to tell everybody.
Trump 2024, this great documentary.
Is at SalemNow.com.
Salem Now.
They have a lot of great videos.
This is the latest.
This is just coming out now.
So, you've got to watch and show these great conservative films.
In the meantime, you'll be able to watch anything better if you have relief from pain.
Hence, relief factor.
Which relieves the great majority of people who try it.
Relieves them of their pain.
That's why it's so successful, a product.
Simple as that.
They have a very good deal.
Try it for three weeks.
If it doesn't work, you're out $19.95 and shipping.
It's worth it, isn't it, to try it out?
And they don't lead you on.
If it doesn't work in three weeks, it won't work, which shows you how fast it works.

You know, as the number two most threatened person.
Under their protection, they wouldn't have let me walk back with Rand Paul, but what happened was disgusting, and not just to Rand and Kelly, but to everyone else.
You know, it shows you that they're blindly following.
someone because they weren't informed enough to know the basics of the case.
It's pretty a sad state of affairs.
What's this?
Yeah, she's pregnant. - What's this about? - But I have an ultrasound.
A Facebook post?
About what?
Telling people to kill someone?
No.
To organise a peaceful protest about the lockdown in Australia.
That's why she's getting arrested.
In front of her children as a pregnant woman.
It didn't stop there.
Let's continue the video.
This is from the same posting, video cut 7. Yeah, this is ridiculous.
Yeah, this is a bit unfair.
Come on, mate.
What about she just doesn't do the event?
Like, it's not like she's done it.
She made a post.
you think so I'm looking at that's enough all right everybody I like to talk to Eric McTaxas for long periods of time, but we don't have that time on a Friday.
I wanted to push both his new, hilarious, and beautifully done book, Donald and the Fake News.
It's part of his series of Donald the Caveman books.
They're for adults, but of course you could use it for children.
And to promote the film coming out, the documentary this weekend, Trump 2024. It's a documentary.
Eric is in it.
I'm in it.
And a lot of other people that you know are in it.
And it's at SalemNow.com.
So what are your feelings, a final note, what are your feelings about the election?
I am very positive about the election because I think that what is happening in America, you know, Dennis, it's almost funny.
The thing that Donald Trump does, sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally, is he drives his enemies out of their minds.
And they do things that they would never rationally do, ever, like reveal themselves to be basically Marxists or in the tank for violent Marxist mobs.
They would never do that normally.
But somehow under Trump, they've just gone crazy.
And we're seeing, you know, you have this cipher, this kind of cardboard cutout named Joe Biden.
He's saying that he's going to be the president, but we know that that's not going to happen, and he's allying himself with Beto O'Rourke on guns, on taking our guns away.
He's allying himself with AOC and the Green New Deal.
He's allying himself with Bernie Sanders.
It is like a nightmare come true, and they don't have the political wisdom to...
They play their cards close to their vest.
They're just letting it all hang out.
We're seeing the democratic cities go up in flames.
And I think most Americans understand there's never been a starker choice, and by God's grace, they will go to the voting booth and vote for this president.
From your mouth to God's ears, Eric, we're going to talk more, hopefully, next week, because it's just always great to be with you.
I just want to remind you, he's a fellow talk show host on the Salem Network.
Children and Adults, Donald and the Fake News.
It's in cartoon form, but it's got great text.
And the new documentary, Trump 2024, at SalemNow.com.
SalemNow.com, is that also where my...
Yeah, it's also where you can learn about watching my High Holy Day services.
200,000 views over that for my Passover Seder.
Mostly non-Jews.
Because most of the country is non-Jews.
But my point is that even if you never even heard of Rosh Hashanah Yom Kippur, this will be a religious experience for you.
So go to see that to the Prager High Holiday Services.
All of this is at SalemNow.com all righty everybody and Brenda in Los Angeles hello hi Dennis hi hi I'd like some clarity on I'm a huge believer in your acting happy we owe it to others to act happy just like we wear deodorant to brush our teeth but on the male female hour this week You
told a caller, I don't remember the specific conversation, but you told a caller that it would be disingenuous to just act happy or to just, I forget the exact word, towards her spouse.
I don't recall that, so I would need more of a context.
I want spouses to do two things.
I want them to speak about what they feel, but I don't want them to act moody.
No, I don't want you to hide what troubles you.
I just want you to not act out on it.
So with a spouse...
I mean, to my...
Find a way to act happy even when you're not?
Yes, which is, I thought, what you said you agreed with me about.
I agree with that in general, but then during the happiness hour, when a...
Again, I wish I... I should listen to it again.
A woman called in, and there was something about how she treats her spouse or how her spouse treats her, and you said that would be just disingenuous.
That would be being phony.
I just don't recall the context, so let me just say what I do believe, and it is important.
The hope is that your spouse is your best friend.
The definition of a best friend, same sex, opposite sex.
is someone to whom you can say everything.
The more you hide, the more distant you are from your friend, whether spouse or non-spouse.
That's just the way it works.
So, I want you to speak what you feel.
This is your best friend, ideally.
However, that doesn't give you license to act out on it.
This is how I feel and I will act mean or I will act angry or I will act moody.
Behavior and speech are not the same thing.
Is that clear now?
That is.
Thank you very much.
Okay.
Bless you.
Nothing more satisfying than a person hearing you clearly.
That's always true.
That's why, by the way, you all know this.
I will, on occasion, with a guest, repeat what they said.
I will repeat on air.
You might be thinking, why am I wasting time?
You just heard this person say it.
But I want to make sure I got it right.
It's a great thing to do with dialogue with friends and with spouses.
All righty, everybody.
Rick in Los Angeles.
Hello.
Hey, Dennis, how are you?
Okay.
Dennis, just for record, we go all the way back to Brandeis Bardeen and listened to you for a long time.
On the Trump issue, we are just so far apart.
Last week, you mentioned that you thought Joe Biden should be disqualified or something to that effect.
Because of his, what you thought were premature comments about the Jacob Blake shooting.
And I'm just curious, certainly given all the things that Trump says that are quite unbelievable, and I don't know what impact...
Right, why wouldn't that disqualify him?
Stay on and I'll answer you.

Hi, everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
Rick in Los Angeles wants to know why I would have said that some...
I don't remember saying it, but I don't deny that I said it.
I don't remember saying it, and I don't deny I said it.
The comments that Joe Biden made about Blake's death disqualified him, but why wouldn't comments that President Trump say disqualify him?
So I'm going to answer and then let you have a response.
I don't disqualify Joe Biden on those grounds.
Even if I said that, they are disqualifying, but that's irrelevant.
He was disqualified in my eyes prior to that.
And he's disqualified because he's a Democrat.
The Democrats have been taken over by the left.
The left wants to crush this country.
Biden acknowledges it.
He wants to fundamentally transform America.
Those are his words.
If that doesn't disqualify a person compared to anything that the president has said, we have a different value system.
Your turn.
Hey, Dennis.
Look, I understand how you feel.
No, no, no, it's not how I feel.
I don't give a damn how I feel, and you shouldn't give a damn how I feel.
Am I right or wrong?
Okay, go ahead.
Dennis, can I have a moment to respond?
No, no, you're entirely right.
I don't understand why you let so many comments.
I know how you feel about the Republicans and Democrats.
I got that.
But I don't understand, of all the things that Trump says and does, I don't understand why you don't comment on those nearly, even with a small percentage, of what you do about the Democrats.
Because one is destroying the country and one is building it.
I don't know why that's...
You may disagree with me, but why are you asking why?
You said you understand how I, quote, feel, but you don't.
I believe the left is destroying America.
You're not taking me seriously.
What do I give a damn what the president says compared to the destructive left?
Why is that not clear to you?
First of all, you don't need to get all worked up with me.
I do get worked up because I love this country.
If you don't like me to get worked up, I'm sorry.
I am not apologizing for getting worked up.
The left is destroying my beloved America.
That's why I get worked up.
You don't think so, so you're voting left.
That's fine.
We differ.
Okay, I just wish that you would hold Trump accountable.
Okay, you didn't get my point.
Okay.
That's like saying, I wish I held Roosevelt.
You know, I criticized Roosevelt during World War II as much as I criticized the opponents of Roosevelt around the world.
You know, Roosevelt did a lot of wrong things, too.
Yeah, but you know what?
He's fighting for America.
It is a very important call, actually.
And I'm not angry at the man at all.
But he doesn't take a word I said seriously.
If he understood that I think the left is destroying America, he would have no more questions.
