Dennis Prager Show - Dr. Barke: You're Called Names If you Speak Out on Covid-19 Aired: 2020-07-03 Duration: 02:42 === Hydroxychloroquine Hoarding (02:42) === [00:00:00] I read, and I have it in my files, months ago, that doctors themselves were buying up, the word used was hoarding, hydroxychloroquine. [00:00:14] Are you familiar with that in any way? [00:00:16] Oh, of course. [00:00:18] Yeah, of course. [00:00:18] The same thing happened when we were told that influenza was going to, you know, take over the world and people were buying. [00:00:28] Influenza drugs. [00:00:29] And this was a few years back. [00:00:32] And so, of course, it's happening. [00:00:33] I know doctors that are personally taking hydroxychloroquine in preventative doses, especially those that are working in the hospitals and they're constantly coming in contact with COVID-19. [00:00:43] But you can't say that if a doctor speaks out and says that. [00:00:47] You're called crazy. [00:00:49] You're called like I am. [00:00:50] I'm a quack. [00:00:50] I'm not a real doctor. [00:00:52] My license should be taken away. [00:00:53] And not only me, my family, my wife is attacked. [00:00:57] Now we're coming up to how do we get the kids back in school? [00:01:02] Well, I don't know. [00:01:03] Let's make a big political deal about this. [00:01:06] Kids are at such low risk. [00:01:08] A child has a 50 times higher risk of drowning than they do of dying from COVID-19. [00:01:14] A child has a greater risk of dying in a car crash going to school than they do of COVID-19. [00:01:21] But we're going to go through all these machinations. [00:01:23] We're going to require kids to wear face coverings. [00:01:26] Which I think is tantamount to abuse, if you will. [00:01:31] And this is all being driven by union power and politics, not by healthcare, science, and the truth, unfortunately. [00:01:40] Well, by scared teachers. [00:01:42] By scared teachers, too. [00:01:44] Absolutely. [00:01:45] And their unions. [00:01:46] Yes, that's why when you said unions, that's what I was thinking. [00:01:49] America is not recognizable to those of us who are older and remember it. [00:01:55] No, it's not. [00:01:57] You know, you used to use this term, and I sort of agree and shrug my shoulders, and that is we're in a nonviolent civil war. [00:02:07] You are absolutely correct. [00:02:09] This is a civil war. [00:02:11] It's a civil war for our country. [00:02:13] It's a civil war for liberty. [00:02:15] Thank God it's not violent. [00:02:16] At least it's not violent on our side, but it certainly is on their side. [00:02:22] And boy, you know, they push us much harder. [00:02:25] And disaster is ahead. [00:02:28] We need to fight for our country, unfortunately. [00:02:30] And we're doing so with our words right now. [00:02:33] And I hope that message gets out. [00:02:35] Well, it is. [00:02:36] And I'm going to refer to you again. [00:02:39] Thank you, Dr. Barkey. [00:02:41] Thank you, Dennis.
