In the midst of America's greatest crisis since the Civil War.
And we are in a civil war, as I have been saying for decades.
Now people are perhaps more aware of it.
I'd like you to ask yourself and friends a question.
If all of the rioting, forget protesting, all the rioting that has taken place, the destroying of businesses, the burning of businesses, the burning of police cars, if all of this had taken place or been done by people on the right, How would it be reported?
And what would be the dominant subject of the news?
It would be reported...
Yes, it would be reported.
This is our Hitler Youth.
That's what would be reported.
That's exactly correct.
The Democratic Party and the media's tacit acceptance Of violence, mass violence, as well as individual violence because of the smearing and defunding of police departments.
Why is that not enough for good people to know they cannot possibly support the Democrats and the rest of the left?
I have no answer to my question.
How could a good person vote Democrat?
To which, of course, they will answer, how could a good person vote for Trump?
The answer is, I'm not voting for Trump.
I'm voting against the destructive left.
If any other Republican were nominated, I would vote for that Republican.
What is my choice?
If you believe that Donald Trump threatens the country as much as the entire left does, then I have really little to say.
Your ability to self-deceive is beyond my ability to convince you that you are self-deceiving.
And that's what it amounts to in a nutshell.
Hi there, all.
I hope you celebrate July 4th in some way because there's a movement to undo July 4th, led by the left and its major spokesman, the New York Times.
Do you recall, did you send me the piece that I see it on my own?
I never can fully remember.
In fact, that dropped fully.
I can never remember.
And it is about the woman who directed this lie of the New York Times.
Of 1619 being our founding, they dug up something she wrote years ago about hating America.
I mean, it was vile.
Do you know what it is?
Can you find it for me?
I love it.
He just says sure and then does it.
That's a very big blessing in our life.
Listen to this story.
It'll give you an idea of what the left does to our country.
Let's see here.
I will find it.
Yes, I found it.
You have no idea how many websites are open in my computer.
This is from The Federalist.
Awoke.
Mob terrorizes Tennessee Smokehouse after false rumors of Back the Blue donation.
A Tennessee restaurant was forced to cancel a nearly $1,000 order after woke mobsters launched a harassment campaign based on unsubstantiated rumors perpetuated by local media that it planned to donate the food To a Back the Blue rally.
Shuford's Smokehouse in Chattanooga said its business began receiving online threats from self-proclaimed social justice warriors, warning they would tear down the decades-old diner for its apparent donation to a pro-police function.
You hear that?
The mob, the violent mob, is in control in much of America.
And you will vote for the Democrats.
Well, you will get the country you voted for.
more.
Thank you.
And you will suffer for it because every left-wing revolution eats its own.
Stalin put virtually every communist supporter An original communist supporter either killed them or put them in horrific conditions in Soviet prison.
The French Revolution did the same thing.
The left is despicable, whether it was France or Soviet Union or the United States.
There is no exception to it.
Liberals are okay.
They're just cowards.
Except for the handful who realize what a threat the left is to liberalism.
Shuford's owners clarified that the order was no giveaway, but instead a clear-cut business transaction.
Do you understand?
In Chattanooga, Tennessee, a diner has to defend its life by saying, oh, we would never support the police.
Chattanooga, Tennessee.
A lady placed an order Tuesday for food for Saturday.
She said she was taking it.
To the pro police back the Blue Rally in Chattanooga.
It was just a business transaction.
We did not donate the food, Madison Davis, daughter of restaurant owner Jeff, told the Tennessee Star.
One of the news channels reported on Thursday that we were supplying the food for the rally.
Now, do you understand how evil the media are?
This is a news story?
That a restaurant is donating food for a rally?
That's a news story?
Yes, if you want to destroy anyone who helps the police, it's a news story.
The media in Chattanooga are as vile as the media in New York.
That's the way it works.
By the way, did the New York Times start in Chattanooga?
Take a look, if I'm not mistaken.
In the middle of the 19th century.
Take a look.
It sounds odd to you?
I'm sure.
Why do you think I said it?
I didn't say it because I, you know.
Oh, it sounded like I made it up.
I didn't make it.
Take a look.
If I'm right, what will you do?
You'll just say I was right?
Will you say, I apologize for the semi-smirk?
No?
That's not right.
There was no semi-smirk?
It was a full smirk?
No smirk at all.
Okay.
Alright, take a look.
So they made it sound like we donated the food and we did not.
Whenever they got reported, whenever that got reported, is when we started getting threats, threatening phone calls, harassment, nasty negative reviews on our Facebook.
Davis said the harassment became so bad for the restaurant that employees took extreme measures to protect themselves, while the smokehouse removed its Facebook page after online trolls caused ratings to plummet.
We went from a 4.8 to a 4 rating in less than an hour because of people blowing it up.
Calling us nasty things that I really don't want to repeat, Davis told the Star.
We finally got a threat that someone was going to burn our building down where we smoke all of our meat in.
That is when we decided to cancel.
We didn't want to do the transaction anymore.
While the restaurant is still standing, the Davises took a hit, losing out on a $1,000 order in an era of ongoing pandemic uncertainty.
In the service industry.
Among those leading the online harassment campaign was Chattanooga Black Lives Matter activist Cameron Williams, who later said he would take down posts and videos indicting the restaurant for racism based on false local reporting. who later said he would take down posts and videos He never took it down.
They did say that they did not supply the food for free and he did not take down his post.
I will finish this when we come back.

It was heartwarming to see many of the planet's toughest and best athletes telling their children on social media how much they love them.
In short videos, fathers played games with their kids, bear hugged them, and told them jokes, all in a tribute to dads on Father's Day.
In a society that does little to encourage fathers, the NBA's efforts did not go unnoticed.
Families are the essential building block of society, and fathers are the essential building block of the family.
A home led by a father, especially a father with a spiritual focus and strong character, places flourishing within reach.
Gender-neutral children do not need gender-neutral parents.
Boys and girls need fathers and mothers bound by lifelong commitment.
This isn't a prejudicial belief.
Downplaying fatherhood sets us all up for disaster.
Social media support is great, but we need more.
We need a society that celebrates, honors, and ennobles fathers.

Well, my thing is, Larry, I understand where you're coming from, but I get very disappointed because sometimes it very much seems like you bash black people, you know, and I don't understand that because if you look at the history of America, there's more white men that has done wrong to black men than black men have done wrong to white men.
Corey, do I bash white people?
I haven't heard it.
Really?
I've never said anything at all negative about Hillary.
Never said anything at all negative about Joe Biden.
Never said anything at all negative about the Clintons.
Never said anything at all negative about left-wing people on the Democratic side.
Never said anything at all negative about Chuck Schumer.
Nothing negative about Nancy Pelosi.
You're right.
Corey, the people I criticize who are black are lefties.
You've never heard me criticize Candace Owens.
You've never heard me criticize Peter Kersenow.
You've never heard me criticize Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams.
But the people that you are naming, in my opinion, they're not too friendly to black people either.
Candace Owens is not accepted by most black people.
Well, not accepted and being friendly are two different things.
Corey, you haven't seen my movie Uncle Tom, but when you see it, you'll hear Candace Owens say...
I'm definitely going to see it.
I'm definitely going to see it.
I sure hope so, because when you...
I'm definitely going to look at it.
I appreciate it, Corey.
And when you see it, pay attention to something that Candace Owens said about your saying she's not accepted by black people.
She says, I'm an alarm clock.
I'm not here to win a popularity contest.
I'm here to say, wake up.
You're losing.
Wake up.
And when your alarm clock goes off, you're angry at first, but eventually you get up and do what you have to do.
That was her analogy.
I thought it was brilliant.
I agree.
I agree.
And as we drown in anti-American rhetoric, it's a good time to reflect on why we should be so grateful to live in this wonderful country.
That's what I do in this week's Prager University video, Why I Love America.
See it at prageru.com, where we teach what isn't taught.
It's an amazing thing that Why I Love America is controversial.
That's the legacy of the left, where good is bad and bad is good.
Hi everybody, Dennis Prager here.
Well, it turns out, here's the connection.
Remember I said it started in Chattanooga, and my generally very respectful and warm, to the extent that the living martyr can be described that way, colleague, Producer of the show, found it a bit odd.
Thought I was actually kidding.
And it turns out that in 1896, the publisher of the Chattanooga Times bought the New York Times.
And with that and another family connection, it has remained to this day.
They married, that's right, correct, the Oaks.
And the Sulzburgers.
So I was largely right.
I remembered this Chattanooga basis of the New York Times.
The story out of Chattanooga is in microcosm, what the left has done.
It holds decent people in contempt.
The story is beyond belief when you think about it.
So the Black Lives Matter Chattanooga activist led this campaign threatening to burn down he didn't threaten but the campaign did to burn down the diner because they may have donated food to a back the police rally so Continued.
He said he would take down the post and videos if we made a public statement that it was not donated the food.
The owner's daughter said, per our attorney's advice, we did that.
Instead of following through with his word, he did not take down the slandering stuff.
While the restaurant held up its end of the bargain, Williams Did not, and instead his posts remain up, rallying his followers to demonize the local small business.
And then concludes, In the past, Williams has rooted for America's destruction, encouraging rioters to tear down property that is not black-owned, while chastising Independence Day as racist.
And that is mainstream Democrat and left today.
Do you know that?
Black Lives Matter is as American as apple pie, as they used to say.
The NBA will have Black Lives Matter plastered on the court.
Players will have Black Lives Matter social justice messages on their jerseys instead of their names.
And you will go and applaud.
Or watch on TV. To support the police is to support racism.
Do you understand how despicable that is?
Not to mention how it really, to undermine the police, is to increase black death.
But as I wrote a couple of weeks ago, headline, the title of my column, The Black Couldn't Care Less.
Excuse me.
The left couldn't care less about blacks.
Blacks are to the left what workers were to the communists.
Useful.
Period.
Did communists really care about workers?
Oh, you would think so, right?
That's all they talked about, workers.
When they got into power, one of the first things they did was Kill union leaders.
I'm laughing because people learn nothing from history.
They're not even taught it.
There's nothing to learn.
Why do you think I made a video and wrote an article years ago?
Why isn't communism as hated as Nazism?
By the way, if you want to understand leftism, a lot of people are asking me about it.
I got an email yesterday from a gentleman in Portland, Oregon.
First name is Keaton.
I won't tell you his last name.
I'm sure he doesn't care, but I won't say it.
He may get harassed.
Two years ago, I was a liberal.
Your book, The Last Best Hope Changed My Life.
Today I have found the meaning of my life in the devotion to a loving woman, and I live my life with clear values and the determination to be a good and decent man.
To the end of my life, I will defend my belief that, Dennis Prager, you are a good and decent man.
Thank you.
Well, thank you, sir.
The reason I read it to you is that it will change your life, still the best hope.
My book, it explains America.
It explains the left.
It explains Islamism.
Islamism is opposed to all of Islam.
Islamism is the desire to impose Sharia on non-Muslims, indeed on Muslims as well.
But if you want to understand the left, that is my first choice.
You will leave understanding.
It is highly documented.
And if you want to understand America, And then why America's hated.
I will also tell you that a book I wrote...
Let's see, how long ago did I write it?
Almost 40 years ago I started writing in my 20s.
Called Why the Jews?
The Reason for Anti-Semitism.
It's third edition.
It has never been out of print.
It's third edition.
The latest edition a few years ago.
It has a long chapter on anti-Americanism as a parallel to anti-Semitism.
It is clear, Isabel, that that is correct.
The gentleman who sat in for me, Carl Jackson, who is really good in Orlando, he sat in for me last week.
And he made a great observation about the parallels between anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism.
People hate those who achieve.
That's the law of history.
We'll be back.

Hello everybody, Dennis Prager here.
I live in California.
Has great weather and a fair number of terrific people.
Otherwise, the state...
The dream state of the country has been ruined by the left because everything the left touches, it ruins.
There is no exception to that.
None.
It's a tsunami of destruction.
Anyway, the governor, who's a leftist, decided that small businesses were doing too well and we have to make sure that fewer of them survive, especially restaurants.
So now they're re-shut down.
So all the food that they purchased in the course of the last few weeks of being allowed to have a few patrons will go to waste, and they will have lost even more money.
They've rehired people.
Those people will have no work, but they will still be paid, I don't know in what way.
There are a handful of people who have courage.
One of them is Dr. Jeffrey Barkey.
Dr. Barkey is a physician in Newport Beach, California.
We both spoke a few weeks ago in Los Angeles at City Hall at a rally to open up the state.
And Dr. Barkey, I salute you for your courage.
If somebody would have told you five years ago, let alone 25, you would be a physician activist, what would you have said?
I'd say you're out of your mind.
I just have a private practice.
I'm happy doing what I do.
And have a nice day.
I'll leave that up to Dennis Prager.
Yes, that's probably what you would have said.
Well, you see that?
Tough times create heroes.
Anyway, what's your take on the latest closing of California?
Dennis, here's what the headlines should say, and they don't say.
COVID deaths continue to plummet.
As expected, the number of cases rise.
That's what we should be told.
We knew this was going to happen.
We counted on it happening.
We closed the economy down for a while in order to maintain health care capacity.
We expected, as we opened up our economy, That more people would be exposed.
The number of cases would go up.
And if you look at the CDC data, and I do this daily, deaths have dropped dramatically because we're better at treating it, we know how to treat it, and we're doing an excellent job.
And then you mix in there hundreds of thousands of people gathered together all over the country protesting and rioting.
And a few weeks after this, you see a spike in cases.
Well, hello?
No kidding.
But we're being told that if we go out to restaurants, and all restaurants that I go to, all restaurants are socially distancing.
Most of them require masks.
That's the problem, that we're going to restaurants and we're shopping, not that because thousands of people were gathering, that's the reason why we see a spike.
So the spike is nothing that should alarm anybody.
We should not be feared by the spike.
We know about this virus.
Younger people are fairly immune to it.
We should do what every healthy society does.
We protect the most vulnerable.
We isolate those that are actually sick, and we allow the rest of us to go about our business with some common sense precautions.
Why aren't we doing that?
It's frustrating.
I want to scream.
As a matter of fact, my voice is hoarse because I was screaming at the radio yesterday listening to you.
It's just so frustrating for me to see what's going on in our country.
Are you getting feedback from physician colleagues?
Yes, I am, you know, but here's the problem.
Physicians, just like anybody else, often are very scared.
They're scared to speak out because they're worried, number one, what are their patients going to say?
And number two, the various health associations that they have with hospitals and...
You know, many physicians now are employed by hospital groups, and so they have to be very careful about speaking out.
So most don't, unfortunately.
A few of us do, but most don't.
You know, I was doing some research the other day, and I discovered that there were four signers, physician signers, at the Declaration of Independence.
You know, docs used to be involved in the liberty movement in this country, and I think it's time that we step up and get involved again in trying to save our country.
We're going to lose it if we don't.
We're going to lose it.
We can't just rely on the Dennis Prager's of the world.
We need the average schmo to step up, to speak out, to be bold, to be courageous, and to push back and say no.
Well, I'm going to continue with Dr. Jeff Barkey in a moment.
Physician who has stepped up to the plate.
The spike is not because in California, it's not because...
Of the rioting and protesting.
It's because of restaurants.
And people will vote Democrat.

There are many things that big tech, like all tech, can provide that are helpful to make our lives better, to make our lives easier.
And big tech is going, I mean, tech is developing.
And going down that road, whether it's AI or Internet of Things or autonomous vehicles.
And so the trick is to find a balance and to make sure that we hold them accountable and make sure that they don't exploit personal private data from our citizens and our clients and monetize those in a way that's unconstitutional, that's illegal.
But at the same time, not inhibit innovation.
Big tech spawns a lot of other opportunities.
Make sure that they're not acting in a way that stifles innovation either, and that the smaller technology companies aren't pushed out of the field.
So those are all concerns that we have.
You know that we're leading a giant investigation against Google, Ken Paxton in Texas, and I and others in Nebraska.
I'm Doug Peterson, and we're focused...
Is Brnovich involved, too?
I think Brnovich is involved.
Bruno's involved, yes.
Mark Brnovich in Arizona, and many others.
I don't want to start naming names because there's so many, but that is a big deal for us.
We want to protect the data, the privacy, the liberties of our citizens, and at the same time, encourage technology to continue.
To help protect our city.
Yeah, it's kind of a tightrope.
You want the companies to come to Utah, I assume, and they want to go there because it's a great state to live in.

That's right.
Yeah, that's right.
You know, as you say, Dennis, first tell the truth.
Then you can give your opinion.
We're not being told the truth.
Listen, this virus is deadly, especially if you're in an at-risk group, if you're above 65 years old, if you live in a nursing home, extended care facility, etc.
But if you're younger, this virus is no more deadly than an annual bad case of influenza season.
And that's the reality, and that's the truth.
Death in less than 35-year-olds is tiny.
It's like 0.8% of all the deaths are in people that are less than 35 years old.
Less than 65, it only represents 19% of the death.
We're treating this, this is crazy town.
This is politics.
This is the politics of healthcare.
I'm actually writing a book right now.
Maybe I'll ask you to write the foreword to it or something.
And it's going to be called something like...
Only if you include my picture.
Okay.
My prescription for liberty.
A physician's battle to spread the truth.
And we're just not getting the truth.
I'm okay with everybody's opinion.
But tell the truth about this thing.
And if you're in a high-risk group, it's deadly.
If you're not in a high-risk group, it's not a problem.
The spike in cases is because we've opened our economy.
People are now being exposed.
You know, the average cases, people that are testing positive, and we can talk about testing and whether it's accurate or not, that's a whole other subject, but the average age of the people that are testing positive right now is in the mid-30s.
Guess what the average age was of all these rioters and protesters?
There weren't a lot of old people out there, and there certainly wasn't any social distancing.
So this was a...
Group of young folks that was out there rioting and protesting, and now we're seeing many of them test positive.
And by the way, that's okay because young people do incredibly well with this disease.
It's like having influenza, especially if you treat it.
And boy, we can't even talk about treatment.
First time in my career, every hydroxychloroquine prescription, I'm getting a phone call from the pharmacist for me to justify that prescription.
It is crazy town.
Never in my 20-plus career has a pharmacist challenged me on a non-controlled, safe drug that's been around since the late 1950s, but now they're asking me to justify that prescription.
And that is just unfathomable.
And it's nothing like I've ever seen before, which is why I'm speaking out, which is why I'm sharing my voice and trying to spread.
The message of truth far and wide.
I read, and I have it in my files, months ago, that doctors themselves were buying up, the word used was hoarding, hydroxychloroquine.
Are you familiar with that in any way?
Oh, of course.
Yeah, of course.
The same thing happened when we were told that influenza...
Was going to, you know, take over the world and people were buying influenza drugs.
And this was a few years back.
And so, of course, it's happening.
I know doctors that are personally taking hydroxychloroquine in preventative doses, especially those that are working in the hospitals and they're constantly coming in contact with COVID-19.
But you can't say that if a doctor speaks out and says that.
You're called crazy.
You're called like I am.
I'm a quack.
I'm not a real doctor.
My license should be taken away.
And not only me, my family, my wife is attacked, etc.
Now we're coming up to how do we get the kids back in school?
Well, I don't know.
Let's make a big political deal about this.
Kids are at such low risk.
A child has a 50 times higher risk of drowning than they do of dying from COVID-19.
A child has a greater risk of dying in a car crash going to school.
And they do have COVID-19, but we're going to go through all these machinations.
We're going to require kids to wear face coverings, which I think is tantamount to abuse, if you will.
And this is all being driven by union power and politics, not by healthcare, science, and the truth, unfortunately.
Well, by scared teachers.
By scared teachers, too.
Absolutely.
And their unions.
Yes, that's why when you said unions, that's what I was thinking.
America is not recognizable to those of us who are older and remember it before.
No, it's not.
It was the land of the afraid.
You know, you used to use this term, and I sort of agree and shrug my shoulders, and that is we're in a nonviolent civil war.
You are absolutely correct.
This is a civil war.
It's a civil war for our country.
It's a civil war for liberty.
Thank God it's not violent.
At least it's not violent on our side.
But it certainly is on their side.
And boy, you know, they push us much harder.
And disaster is ahead.
We need to fight for our country, unfortunately.
And we're doing so with our words right now.
And I hope that message gets out.
Well, it is.
And I'm going to refer to you again.
Thank you, Dr. Barkey.
Thank you, Dennis.
Appreciate it.

Does the Attorney General Group have a grip on how to approach big tech so that they act responsibly in the marketplace?
Yeah, and let me be fair and clear.
There are many things that big tech, like all tech, can provide that are helpful to make our lives better, to make our lives easier.
And big tech is going, I mean, tech is developing and going down that road, whether it's AI or Internet of Things or autonomous vehicles.
Make sure that they're not acting in a way that is...
That stifles innovation either, and that the smaller technology companies aren't pushed out of the field.
So those are all concerns that we have.
You know that we're leading a giant investigation against Google, Ken Paxton in Texas, and I and others, Nebraska, Doug Peterson, and we're focused...
I think, is Brnovich involved too?
I think Brnovich is involved.
Bruno's involved, yes.
Mark Brnovich in Arizona, and many others.
I don't want to...
Start naming names because there's so many.
But that is a big deal for us.
We want to protect the data, the privacy, the liberties of our citizens, and at the same time, encourage technology to continue to help protect our citizens.
Yeah, it's kind of a tightrope.
You want the companies to come to Utah, I assume, and they want to go there because it's a great state to live in.
It's like, it's not Ohio, but it's got the same number of letters in it.

Never since the Revolution, or for that matter the Civil War, was putting out the American flag.
Such a statement of your beliefs.

Well, I have eight different states on eight different lines.
Sean and I, it's a bet.
We do betting on this.
And Sean is down a couple of thousand dollars at this point.
It's very sad.
But I have no pity on him because it's his choice to bet.
Okay, for those of you who don't know, I made that up.
Now, I didn't make up the states.
So, Peter in Brooklyn has a good question.
Why is there COVID increase in states with no demonstration?
The only reason I'm not talking to you is to save time, but it's a very fair question.
First of all, I don't know where there were states where there weren't demonstrations.
Certainly, you're calling from New York.
But let's say you're right.
Let's say it happened.
There is an increase.
First of all, the obvious increase in cases is because we test more.
I mean, that's so obvious that only the media for whom truth is irrelevant would not keep noting that.
The more people you test, the more cases you'll have.
Is that not obvious?
Because so many people have it and don't know it.
The great majority of people are asymptomatic, or the symptoms are so mild, they don't even think they have COVID. All right?
Number two, some of it has to do with more people congregating.
There's no doubt in my mind.
That's correct.
If I were a governor, I said this yesterday, if I were a governor, I'd say, ladies and gentlemen, we are opening up the state.
And there will be more deaths as a result.
There are also more deaths as a result if we close down the state.
And I have to weigh one problem against another problem, or one tragedy against another tragedy.
I will not induce more tragedy of suicide, addiction, abuse, an entire lifetime of savings gone in order to save 0.0006% of the population.
Have a nice day.
That's what I would say.

What's up?
Well, my thing is, Larry, I understand where you're coming from, but I get very disappointed because sometimes it very much seems like you bash black people, you know, and I don't understand that because if you look at the history of America, there's more white men that have done wrong to black men than black men have done wrong to white men.
I get that a lot.
Well, you're putting down black people.
Well, I'm putting down certain black people.
I'm putting down Al Sharpton.
I'm putting down Jesse Jackson.

If you've never read Das Kapital, if you've never read the raving rants of Karl Marx, it's okay.
In a sentence.
Communism is a utopian ideology that utilizes the use of force.
To pitch classes against each other so that the oppressed working class will destroy and vanquish the capitalist class and the bourgeoisie middle class until, quote-unquote, everyone is equal and no one has private property and everyone receives.
That's the idea.
In reality, it has never, ever been achieved in the 40 countries it has been attempted in, and it has led to the deaths of over 100 million people, with more than 30 million murdered in China alone.
Today's version of it isn't the communism of China or the Soviet Union.
What we are seeing on the streets of America is something called the New Left.
Remember that phrase, the New Left.
I learned it from the incredible autobiography of Andrew Breitbart.
Read it.
It's called righteous indignation.
I personally believe the media is attempting to overplay the second outbreak in an effort to hurt Donald Trump.
The numbers bear me up.
Remember, at the height of the pandemic in May, America suffered 2,700 deaths.
Yesterday, there were 338 deaths.
On Sunday, there were 250. On Friday, there were 506. On Thursday, there were 599. On Wednesday, there were 644. What do you see?
The number of deaths are declining in the United States, even as the number of cases skyrocket.
Why is that?
Doctors are better equipped at treating it.
Younger people are getting it.
So the reopening has slowed down, but it hasn't stopped.
And the variant that we have, there's a story on which variant we have, is the one that's gotten more contagious.
So the virus is even more contagious than it was three months ago, but it's killing fewer people, even as far more people get infected.
Why?
Because they're younger, stronger, Less fragile, better treatment.
Meanwhile, China has fast-tracked the coronavirus vaccine based on advanced genetic technology.
Its military is using it.
I don't know if it's going to work.
If it works, we don't know if they'll give it to us.
But that is very good news for the world.
They also have three other candidates ready to begin trial.
What does all that mean?
That means we've got a lot more cases with a lot more therapy.
Well, hello, my friends.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Living in the most perilous moments in American history since the Civil War.
I never exaggerate.
And I said that we were in a civil war years ago.
And now you see how true that was.
Because I understood the...
Existential threat the left poses to everything we cherish.
I mean, I told you, Thomas Friedman, who I had thought of as a liberal, not a leftist.
But he's a weak liberal, so it's irrelevant.
Weak liberal and leftism, the line is very, very thin.
And he actually wrote that we should redefine the motto of America of e pluribus unum, from many one to from many we.
You know, I said this from the very beginning.
Like 20 years ago, I wrote an article about the threat of multiculturalism.
If Americans don't embrace some basic moral principles as their culture, the country is over because this country is not homogeneous like Denmark or Norway.
The country is heterogeneous ethnically and racially.
And in every other way, the human condition comes.
So it is the only way America can survive is if everybody assumes a strong American identity, which the left is destroying, needless to say.
And as a result, you don't have America anymore.
From many, we.
Isn't that amazing?
That was the name, I think, of his column.
Certainly that was the topic of his column.
Wow.
I saw it early.
I want you to know it brings me zero satisfaction.
So I'm not bragging to you.
I saw it early.
I'm only saying that I did see it early because I think clearly.
And I have a strong moral Geiger counter.
And whenever it comes near the left, it pulsates.
People want to say, look, you know, I don't like either extreme.
This is the lazy way of not confronting evil.
Well, it's on both sides, really.
When was the last violent demonstration on the right?
So then people talk about the Oklahoma City.
You have individuals who do evil with every single doctrine on earth.
But as a movement?
Tell me when the last right-wing conservative violent demonstration took place.
When the Tea Party demonstrated in large numbers against Barack Obama's policies.
It cleaned up after itself.
Remember that?
They left the grounds clean.
Did you see how these thugs who made chas, buzz, flues, did you see how they left it?
The garbage heap?
These are the scum of the earth.
And if you can't say that, it's because you're a coward.
People don't stare at evil.
It's another one of my biggest views about life.
Remember, I've always said, the evil is not dark.
Evil is so bright, people can't stare it in the face.
I wrote a column years ago, "The Left fights statues, the Right fights evil." On the left, there's greater hostility to George Washington than to the Iranian regime.
Okay?
Does that give you an idea of how morally sick the left is?
I don't know what stops people from the realization.
I don't.
I really don't.
Well, I don't fully.
I do partially.
The intimidation of the left, the indoctrination is so acute that the fear, oh my God, I can't side with the right.
That's what it is about, let alone with Donald Trump.
Like I know, I have relatives who say that.
Good people, too.
I've told you a long time, you know, Minnesota nice.
Minnesota, the amount of sickness coming out of Minnesota is quite remarkable.
A lot of nice people in Minnesota.
Nice is nice, by the way.
Between nice and not nice, I prefer nice.
But nice and moral vision have nothing to do with one another.
You could be a nice person and abet the ascendance of evil.
Last hour, I discussed, among other things, well, I discussed Chattanooga, where a restaurant was threatened with destruction because it was reported that they may have given free food to support the police rally.
Woe unto those who call good evil and evil good.
Hosea.
2,500 years ago.
As I told you, I think God experiences Groundhog Day.
Every generation screws up in the same way.
Calling good evil and evil good is not new.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have said it 2,500 years ago.
Right?
The police are evil, and the Black Lives Matter movement is good.
There you go.
It's about as close as you can get to a morally broken compass.
There are vast numbers of Americans who believe what I just said.
The police are bad, and the Black Lives Matter movement, talking about the concept, the movement, is good.
Liberals helping violent black spokespeople or groups is not new.
Black Panthers were supported by liberals.
It's in my book.
I think the famous Leonard Bernstein, most prominent musician of his day.
Fundraiser for Black Lives Matter.
Then read David Horowitz on Black Lives Matter.
He was friends with them.
He was a Marxist for his early life.
But history isn't taught.
I don't know what you should do about sending your kids to school.
It has nothing to do with the COVID virus.
They shouldn't have closed the schools to begin with.
But I don't know what you should do now.
I mean, the curricula, the anti-American curricula, the...
Kill your kids' innocence with regard to sex curriculum.
The drag queen story hours for your five-year-olds.
I really don't know what you should do.
Well, I do know what you should do.
You shouldn't send your kids to most schools.
You should either send them to a school that actually teaches and affirms Traditional values.
Or homeschool your child.
In either case, by the way, I say this with zero self-consciousness.
You should have them watch all 400 plus videos of PragerU.
We're providing the intellectual and moral ammunition for a healthy child.
A good American.
The person rooted in the antithesis of the left, and that is biblical values.
That's why they mock the Bible.
Did you ever notice, by the way, that they never refute, they always mock?
Have you noticed that?
Something strange.
I didn't think I would talk about this. .
I won't even mention his name because he's not the issue.
I mean, he's a well-known name.
Many of you know what I'm talking about, but it's irrelevant.
It's the issue.
So it came out that a host on Fox News had an affair.
And Fox News, is he fired or is he suspended?
He's fired.
The woman had nothing to do with Fox News.
Oh, yes, in a later report of a long time ago sexual harassment.
It wasn't because of the affair?
Oh, okay.
I thought we discussed that earlier.
Okay, then I take my point back.
Because the only place I know where if you have an affair is the military, because you take an oath to fidelity in the military.
Anyway, we might be getting there.
And you thought, it's so funny how people thought, you know, conservatives, they're so rigid.
We'll be back.

Number one, I believe in the Bible.
I remember going, I toured campuses.
So I talked to college kids and I had one college kid come up to me and he said, Dr. Gillen, do you believe in the entire Bible?
Like the whole thing?
And I said, well, let me put it to you this way.
There is nothing that I have read in the Bible that I cannot understand or explain or that is somehow invalidated by anything else that I know, science or otherwise.
And so, yeah, I guess.
The answer to your question is yes.
I believe in the entire Bible.
Michael, there's some specifics I want to ask you.
When people say, like you, that there's nothing in the Bible that they've read that contradicts science, people, of course, have tons of follow-up questions when you say that they go, wait a minute, what about the talking snake?
When I say that there is no fundamental disagreement between science and the Bible, I mean that.
And this is what I mean by that.
My wife and I have been married for like 28 years.
Do we have disagreements?
Yes.
I like to unroll the paper towels this way.
She likes to unroll them this way.
I don't mean to make light of a serious topic, but you get the idea.
But when it comes to the fundamentals, Laurel and I are completely in sync.
And that's the kind of relationship I'm talking about between the Bible and science.
So when I say...
That there is a complete agreement between science and the Bible.
This is what I'm talking about.
When it comes to the fundamental issues, there is no light between them.
There is no disagreement between them.
Now, does that mean they have no disagreements?

More damage to businesses.
Anyway, small business is the one group that is not a friend to the Democrats.
They don't really give a damn about the small businesses.
The truth is they don't really give a damn about any group.
They don't give a damn about blacks.
Either they use blacks.
The relationship of the left to blacks is the same as communists to workers.
They use workers.
Then they gained power, and then they couldn't care less about the workers.
It is astonishing, to give you an idea of how sick things have gotten, that if you do point out the terrible increase in the deaths and injuries of blacks as a result of the immoral and evil consequential A war on the police.
It's called racist.
That's it.
So if you actually care about black lives, which Black Lives Matter does not, then you're racist.
See how it's all backwards?
You must understand that.
The number of blacks immorally killed by white police is so small in any given year.
That it is in the low teens.
If all of them are immoral, most are not.
They're probably under 10 a year of a truly immoral killing of an unarmed black by a policeman.
You think it's less than less than 10?
You think it's like four, less than five.
Okay, in any event, when you compare it to the thousands killed, it shows that the left doesn't care, and Black Lives Matter doesn't care about black lives.
The amount of support for Black Lives Matter by businesses truly proves that they're...
Businesses are not governed by decent people.
They're governed by cowards who look at the bottom line as the only line.
America doesn't matter to big business.
Truth doesn't matter to big business.
And that's...
I've always said it.
I've known it because I know history.
When Pepsi-Cola decided to do business in the Soviet Union, I remember thinking that.
Really?
You want to do business in the Soviet Union?
Or the companies that rush to do business with Iran?
We need companies.
We need teachers.
But look at what teachers are teaching today.
Whether it's big business or teachers or many people in the sciences, it's totally compromised.
You get COVID-19 if you demonstrate against the lockdown.
But it's healthy if you demonstrate against racism.
Get it?
They actually said that.
People in the sciences.
Thousands.
Okay, that's our story.
And let's see here.
I thought I answered Peter, but I'll take it anyway.
Peter in Brooklyn.
Sorry, you're not in Cleveland.
You're in Brooklyn.
Hello.
Hey, Dennis.
How are you?
Good.
I didn't answer you last hour?
I am totally on your side.
I just want to make that clear.
I think everybody's out to get our president and trying to do everything they can to make things look as bad as they are.
That's right.
I was just looking at a couple of the anomalies with the data, and you did address the data why there's an increase in number of cases.
But the strange thing that I see is if you look at New York, New York has a very low number of cases, and there's a lot of unrest going on here, to say the least.
Well, we'll know in three weeks.
Peter, we'll know in three weeks.
Anyway, look, I don't deny, if you truly lock down a civilization, you won't spread a virus.
That's right.
But here's my analogy, and thank you, Peter.
I know I would like to talk to you longer.
We'll meet in Brooklyn one day.
Here's my analogy.
If you had a hornet's nest in the back of your house, and they're staying, I was once stung by a hornet.
It's very painful.
And a guy came and guaranteed that he could get rid of those hornets with a grenade, a hand grenade.
But, of course, it would blow up your house, or a good part of your house.
Why would you say, you know what, listen, I hate hornets, but I do want my house.
Now, why would you say that?
You'd definitely get rid of the hornets with a hand grenade or a bazooka.
So why would you say that?
Because you would say that the cure is worse than the threat, right?
You would rather be threatened by hornets than have your house blown up and no hornets.
That's the way it works.
You weigh every decision.
It is a bazooka and a grenade a lockdown.
You're destroying your house.

Sometimes they read it.
President Obama was a reader.
Sometimes they get it personally.
Vice President Cheney, President Bush, President Trump are listeners.
If you're not briefed on it, it's not in the river going through your head.
Have I accurately described the intel process?
Yes, you have.
And certainly I have a lot of personal familiarity with the presidential daily brief.
When I was Secretary Rumsfeld's senior military assistant, I sat in every single morning while Secretary Rumsfeld was given the precise same brief that the president was receiving.
That went on for over two years.

Woke censorship is basically a superstitious cult, he says.
We're living in a society right now gripped by a quasi-religious fervor, obsessed with symbols and irrational fears.
Anything that's thought to have the slightest association with racism, no matter how attenuated the connection or how innocent the explanation, must be crushed.
Must be expunged.
The mere presence of a possibly offending word is deemed a threat, whether it's truly offensive or any real people have actually taken offense.
Ours is an enchanted world like that of the old Norse who believed in land spirits who could bless or hinder travelers who didn't pay them heed.
Our society isn't progressing, he writes, but falling back into a superstition that everyone must believe or pretend to believe for the supposed welfare of the community.
A NASCAR garage pole is shaped like a noose, so everyone immediately assumes that a racist has snuck into Bubba Wallace's garage to send a nefarious signal to him.
When the FBI says, no, sometimes a garage pole is a garage pole, and this one's been there since October of 2019, people still insist it was a noose.
Because the will to believe is so strong and ain't better safe than sorry.
The Dixie Chicks changes its name to The Chicks.
Even though there was nothing remotely wrong with the origin of the name, it wasn't referring to the folk song Dixie.
It was referring to an album from the band Little Feet called Dixie Chicken.

And it's back again.
Massive increase in crime.
Massive increase in homicide.
than if you want to get geopolitical about it.
You know, I'm a child of the Cold War.
Hello.
Hello.
you Thank you.
My friends, I'm Dennis Prager.
I met this woman in Florida.
I was very impressed.
I wish she had a giant...
Well, she has a big forum, but I wish she had a giant or one because of her insights into not only the Russian collusion hoax where she was named a figure, even though she wasn't, The whole issue of the movement toward socialism, etc.
Anyway, she is Svetlana Lachova, L-O-K-H-O-V-A, British historian and a leading authority on Soviet espionage, a scholar at Cambridge.
Her brand new book is Spygate Exposed.
To get the book, go to Spygate.
I will explain why it isn't being published as it was expected to be.
I want to talk to her about that.
First, Svetlana, welcome to my show again.
Ben, I'm so grateful to be with you and obviously not this time in person, but very, very nice to hear your voice and thank you for your wonderful audience to give me the opportunity to tell my story.
Yes, it's quite a story.
Are you in Florida now?
I'm still in Florida, that's right.
Just in a nutshell, I'm just curious, what is the state right now?
Have they closed things again or they're still open?
Well, it depends which part.
So, in my few months here, I learned that, of course, there is no such thing as, you know, even in Florida, every mayor makes their own decisions.
And I say some decisions are rather bizarre.
So, for example, we had a flat rental in Miami because, you know, I'm in the U.S. with a young child going through various court proceedings related to Spygate.
And I was writing and researching my book.
And so we rented a flat.
And then we had a note under our door telling us within 24 hours we'll have to leave because that's the decision that the mayor of Miami took no short term rentals, right?
And then you just have to go in the car and find somewhere else.
I did find somewhere else.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, I missed something.
Why did the mayor order you to leave your apartment?
I didn't follow that. - Because they decided at some point with COVID that they closed down all the hotels and also short-term rentals under six months.
But they didn't give you any notice out of 24 hours.
I didn't know that.
That's incredible.
Right.
And they have the authoritarian powers where they can just do it like that.
It doesn't matter.
You have a booking.
You have a reservation.
If the mayor, that's what the mayor decides.
That's what they decide.
And that's it.
And they can make you vacate if you don't.
So we literally rented a car.
You know, I have a small child whom you met.
I just drove around, but luckily we found another part of Florida where I have a sane mayor, and everything is fine, everything is open, you know, as long as you're, you know, back to social distancing, etc.
But otherwise it's absolutely fine here.
In another part of the same state.
Well, you know, you could have moved to Chaz.
Right.
Yes, I think I'd rather...
Apparently there's no more chance, right?
After they threatened the mayor, he didn't find the peaceful demonstrations at peaceful anymore, right?
Why did your publisher...
Why and when did your publisher back out of publishing your new book?
Well, so the publisher was Simon& Schuster.
And you probably heard of them because this was this...
Well, the latest stories with Foreman and S.A. Bolton, right, who has published this book, which apparently is telling all sorts of, you know, untrue and also classified information in this book.
And they're publishing his book.
That's one example.
They're also publishing Brian Seltzer of the CNN book, accusing Trump of colluding with Fox News, right?
However, in my case, I had a book, Due to come out in August.
We started selling it last December.
The book was getting amazing pre-orders because I actually, you know, I've spoken to you, I've spoken at the SIPA conference.
I was getting a lot of publicity about my story.
And then what happened is actually the publisher originally wanted to move the date forward because we were getting so many pre-orders.
And the book was ready.
It was typeset.
And then last minute, I was given an ultimatum that if I don't remove the name Stefan Halper, and that he's a spy, and that he set up General Flynn from the book, which is what the book really is about, then they're going to cancel the contract.
They gave me an ultimatum.
I said, well, look, you know, this is the book that we...
That's what the book is about, exactly.
I'll be back in a moment.
Svetlana Lahova was accused of being Michael Flynn's love interest.
To jolt your memory, in case you're not familiar with how she got into this.
But she knows a lot.

I was just thinking about other people that have made inappropriate statements.
Did you know that Harry Truman, the beloved Harry Truman, once referred to Jews as the K-word, In New York as K-Town, except he didn't say K. Shall we erase everything from him?
John F. Kennedy.
There's a book called The Dark Side of Camelot, written by Seymour Hersh, who was a reporter with the New York Times, so therefore it must be credible.
He referred to African countries as boogie republics and threatened to send a diplomat to one of the boogie republics who had crossed him in some sort of way.
Robert Kennedy.
Robert Kennedy is the one who authorized wiretaps on Martin Luther King.
Yeah, J. Edgar Hoover requested them.
But without the approval of the AG, MLK could not and would not have been wiretapped.
Is this thing on?
You really want to play this game?
Find something somebody said?
And nullify everything they've ever done because of that?
Because we're looking at the world through the prisms of our much more enlightened, much more sensitive point of view?
Is that fair?
Oh, well, maybe we should ask Joe Biden that, because I don't even really think he knows.
Finally, on the 89th day, they brought him out of the basement.
They propped him up.
I guess they gave him smelling salt or something to awaken him.
And he is back out there, sadly not looking any better for all the time off that he had.
But it's actually very scary.
The Joe Biden that we see today...
Sebastian is really just the shell of a person, and he is being manipulated at every turn by the very far-left radical wing of the Democrat Socialist Marxist Party, which is, I mean, that's what they are now.
They are not even the Democrat Party of, you know, 30 years ago.
They have morphed into this very frightening organization, and when you see what is happening out across this country in these Democrat-run cities and states, you see the chaos and the anarchy burning down of buildings.
I'm looting, just complete, you know, terrorism in many cases.
You don't see Joe Biden out there saying, gosh, we shouldn't do that.
The only person that is standing up for law and order in this country is Donald Trump.
Then you look at the fact that this guy now has Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as his climate change advisor, the Green New Deal.

This just happened.
But now you can get the book at spygate-exposed.com.
There's a link also at denisprager.com.
Okay, so Svetlana.
In a nutshell, explain Stefan Helper and his role.
Sure.
And just to pick up from what we were discussing before the break, this council culture and the silencing culture is something that you've been warning people about for a very long time.
And I think, unfortunately, I don't think people thought it would necessarily happen to them.
And that's precisely what just happened to me, where clearly it's related to the fact that we have an election coming up here in a few months.
Because any book that's attacking Donald Trump is fine.
In fact, it's been heavily promoted.
Whereas any book like myself, which is not pro-Trump, I'm British, I don't vote here, I can't.
And it's literally me telling my story and also the truth.
That book gets cancelled last minute.
And that gives you the idea of how quickly things can just turn around like that.
Yes, indeed.
When they cancelled, by the way, did they demand the money that they had already paid you in advance?
Did they demand it to be returned?
Well, they demanded all sorts of things.
It's all been dealt with, you know.
Yeah, no, no.
That's the ultimate chutzpah.
But anyway, go ahead.
Stephan Helper.
So, Dennis, since we met in November, I believe, last year, and I told you my story and you believed me and the audience believed me, which I'm very grateful for, but at that stage I had very little documentary evidence of what I was saying because documents have been hidden from us.
But recently there have been an amazing number of the classifications which have been suppressed by the media, of course.
That actually proved that everything I said was true, but it was actually a lot worse than I thought.
So here's what happened to me.
I was an academic in Britain, so as you can hear from my accent and from my name, I'm Russian-born, but I moved to Britain when I was 18, so I was basically a teenager.
And I was absolutely delighted that I was given a place at the University of Cambridge in Britain, which is number three university in the world.
And my professor, Professor Christopher Andrew, who was the head of the history faculty, in about my third year at the university, introduced me to study of intelligence, which is what I was doing.
So I wrote my master's dissertation at Cambridge, and I was doing my PhD, and then I became a fellow archival fellow at Cambridge.
So I've been associated with Cambridge for many, many years.
Now, unknown to me, we actually had a spy.
A real life spy in Cambridge.
And that spy's name is Stephan Halper.
He's an American in his 70s and he was masquerading as a professor at Cambridge University.
He was a member of our study group on History of Intelligence and very little was known about Stephan Halper within our group because he was basically somebody like really wealthy.
But very little was known about his past, other than he apparently claimed to have served a number of Republican presidents, such as Nixon and Bush, so he claimed.
And also we knew that his father-in-law, Ray Klein, was one of the founders of the CIA. But other than that, very little was known about him, other than he was very wealthy and donated a lot of money to Cambridge University.
So he was a very unpleasant man, very fedora.
I was very unfriendly, but because he was wealthy, somehow he was there.
And so he was in the same room with me every Friday night when we discussed our findings on the research archives.
He was part of the same study group.
But him and I never exchanged awards because whenever I was in the room, he would shoot as far away from me as possible.
He was with most people, but to me particular.
And he once came to my lecture, where I was discussing some amazing new documents I found in NKVD archives.
So this is the secret police archives, which you think would be very exciting.
And he fell asleep.
He was in the first row.
He fell asleep, snored throughout, and was just basically very rude and obnoxious.
So the next thing I know is...
This is going years back.
The next thing I know is in...
January 2016, and now we know it wasn't by chance, January 2016, the same man who showed no interest in me, and in fact was very rude and obnoxious to me, wants to have a private dinner with me at my professor's, my mentor's flat, and he wants to discuss my research.
Now, I refused the dinner because he was rude and obnoxious to me, and also because he never showed any interest in my research.
And since I refused that dinner, my professor, my mentor was very rude and aggressive to me, which he's never done before.
I've known him for 20 years.
And he was really insisting I come to that dinner.
I refused.
And that caused my professor to severe ties with me, including, you know, he literally stopped speaking to me because I refused to attend the dinner.
Now we know what that was about.
Because also in 2016, Stefan Harper was paid by the Obama administration.
$720,000 through the ONA Office of Data Assessment of Pentagon, which is the Department of Defense.
And he was allegedly paid for some kind of academic study called Russia-China study.
But the study that he produced wasn't the study that people expected.
So, for example, he was supposed to travel to Russia and China, but he built Pentagon for three trips to London and one trip to New York.
Not to Russia, China.
And there was a lot of other issues with that study.
The amount he was being paid, the fact that study wasn't really a proper academic study, et cetera.
So it looks like the money was being used to something else.
It was paid by the Obama administration.
All right, all right.
And Senator Grassley.
We've got to hold it there, unfortunately.
Obviously, we have to continue this.
I mean, it's not...
The story is mesmerizing and will help you understand the whole Russia hoax thing.
The book...

We don't want to be legislating from the bench.
We've had a lot of that.
That's what this seems like to me.
In other words, what's the kind of a case that can come up?
I mean, the funeral home case that we've talked about on this program where a guy...
He goes on leave.
He works at a funeral home.
He comes back and says, now I'm a woman and I'm going to dress as a woman.
They said, no, this is a very sensitive business and we're dealing with clients that are in tremendous grief.
We don't think this is appropriate.
Now that person has been justified and will keep his job, although he would probably want me to say her job, at this funeral home.
I mean, that's the case that was...
Basically adjudicated, was it not?
It was one of the three cases, yes.
And what was interesting about it is that we actually argued on behalf of the funeral home that the person's transgender status didn't matter.
It was coming to work and saying now, even though you were hired as a man and you agreed to this dress code policy where men were And the court said, Well, we're not, interestingly enough, we're not going to rule on those issues, the dress code or the restroom, when those really were the issues in question in the case.

The attempt to undo the American Revolution on the part of the left is so total that they are even working on undoing July 4th and replacing it with 1619, which I will tell you more about in the course of time here.
What a fraud that has turned out to be, according to liberal historians.
But the woman who directed it at the New York Times hates this country, as so many at the New York Times do.
I told you, history will record a unique event of a wonderful society committing suicide.
I don't know if we have any parallel to this.

But they weren't wonderful societies.

Pat Boone, we've just got a few seconds, unfortunately.
So share a thought with us.
All right.
Pat Boone is not on.
Okay.
Didn't work.
All right.
Anyway, Pat, God bless you.
It is July 4th weekend, and one of the things that he was going to mention is a good time to support the troops with a sort of care package of joy, calling 833-2-TROPS, the number 2, 833-2-TROPS, and send them your good wishes.
I wonder how the left would answer the question.

You've never heard me criticize Peter Kersenow.
You've never heard me criticize Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams.
But the people that you are naming, in my opinion, they're not too friendly to black people either.

So first things first, what is communism?
And the variant that we have, there's a story on which variant we have.
And is my guest on?
We're having guest issues today.
Is my guest on?
Yeah, let me know as soon as he is.
Alright.
Life is complex, ladies and gentlemen.
What can I say?
There is a book out that is of such significance that it could change the rhetoric of the world.
It is titled, Apocalypse Never!
Why Environmental Alarmism?
Hurts Us All by Michael Schellenberger, one of the leading environmentalist activists in the world, and he has written an apology on behalf of the environmentalist movement, which now, of course, loathes him.
Once again, I feel vindicated, and we will learn why.
He was named by Time Magazine a hero of the environment.
By the way, I was never named that, just for the record.
He is the winner of the 2008 Green Book Award from the Stevens Institute of Technology Center for Science Writings.
He has testified for the IPCC, etc., etc.
And now he has the courage to say, We have misled you.
Michael Schellenberger, welcome to the Dennis Prager Show.
Hey, thanks for having me on, Dennis.
Tell us what happened to your article where you wrote this mea culpa, this apology on behalf of the environmentalist movement that was up at Forbes, for which you are a columnist, correct?
Yes, and they took it down against my objections.
Needless to say, I felt that the article did not violate any policies.
Certainly, there are no policies that are violated that I'm aware of or that are written down anywhere.
And I've also very much enjoyed writing for Forbes, and they have actually allowed me to publish the truth and the facts for many years now, and I'm going to continue to do that.
And so we've come to an agreement that my first-person articles will be somewhere else.
So I think that's about all I'm comfortable saying at this point, because I do want to keep the relationship.
That's fine.
I'm not here to expose the bad that Forbes did to you, but I will just say that if Forbes cannot handle Something that disturbs environmentalism.
It shows the grip that it has.
I mean, obviously, nothing like what you wrote would appear in the New York Times.
But I read Forbes often, and I expected better.
What can I say?
So you don't have to even react.
I just want you to know my disappointment.
I appreciate that.
Thank you.
How have your colleagues in the environmentalist movement reacted to you?
Well, there's a lot of diversity of views.
I mean, one of the things that's been happening is that people in the environmental movement have been changing their minds about things like nuclear energy.
And I've helped with that a bit over the last few years in making the case for nuclear.
And I tend to find that people that are pro-nuclear are less apocalyptic in general.
And I think it has something to do with the fact that they understand that nuclear is effectively infinite energy, and with infinite energy you have infinite freshwater, fertilizer, and food, and therefore there's never ever going to be resource scarcity as long as we have nuclear energy.
So all of the apocalyptic claims that some of the climate campaigners make about running out of food, I think there's some intuitive sense.
I don't want to suggest that it's overly conscious, but some intuitive sense that that's not quite right, that our capacity for technical ingenuity is very high.
And there's others that are obviously the people that I'm criticizing in the book who are very defensive.
I think the interesting thing now, Dennis, because it's only been out for a couple of days, I don't think very many people have really read it yet.
They haven't read the book.
They read the article I wrote, but I think that when they read the book, I think they're going to discover that their paradigm, their religion, is what I argue is what it is, is in real trouble.
It's actually completely hollow and rotten, and Apocalypse Never, I think, gives kind of a final push to that Berlin Wall of apocalyptic environmentalism, so to speak, and I think it is entering its final period.
I mean, I don't want to overstate it, but I don't know if it'll be in a month, but I don't think it'll take two years.
For basically the core elements of what we consider to be environmentalism to be completely discredited.
Well, rare good news in the year 2020. I want to read from your article some things that this lifelong environmentalist has written.
Here are some facts few people know.
Humans are not causing a sixth mass extinction.
The Amazon is not the lungs of the world.
Climate change is not making natural disasters worse.
Fires have declined 25% around the world since 2003. The amount of land we use for meat, humankind's biggest use of land, has declined by an area nearly as large as Alaska.
Houses near forests, not climate change, explain why there are more and more dangerous fires in Australia and California.
Carbon emissions are declining in most rich nations and have been declining in Britain, Germany and France since the mid-1970s.
This one I love.
Netherlands became rich, not poor, while adapting to life below sea level.
I never thought of that.
That's pretty powerful.
That's as powerful as Bill Gates, another alarmist who just bought a $43 million home on the coast.
And I always wonder why people who predict imminent drowning of places on the coast are buying expensive properties on the coast.
Is that a legitimate question?
It is for me.
Yes, of course.
It's obviously an illegitimate question.
You know, people like you, Bjorn Lomborg, I mean, who have such credentials, have been saying these things, and the dismissal of people, deniers, has always been denialists, climate deniers, Prager University, where you have some courses coming out.
Is, of course, a climate denialist.
I'm curious, on a personal note, because that always interests me.
Was it, and I mean this with utter, not only sincerity, but praise for you, did you simply awaken one day and say, I just can't participate in this, essentially, what is a lie?
Oh, heavens no.
It's been a very long process.
I mean, I think this is, you know, I mean, really, for some ways, Apocalypse Never is the bookend to an essay I wrote 15 years ago called Death of Environmentalism.
And at the time, it was motivated out of a sense in which I was reading a lot of civil rights histories.
I was reading this beautiful history of the civil rights movement called Parting the Waters by Taylor Branch.
I'm sure you know it.
It's about love in the face of hatred.
It's a very profound book.
It's a very Christian book in that sense.
And after reading it, you know, and I mean, not in one sitting, you know, it's a huge book, but after reading passages of it, I would feel happy.
I would feel real optimism and real sense of just that, you know, that the world was a good place and that humans, that there's a lot of people that are doing, that are really good people in it.
Then I would read Bill McKibben or other apocalyptic environmentalists, and I would literally feel depressed afterwards.
And I was aware enough of my feelings that I thought, you know, something's not right here.
At a psychological level, I thought there's sort of something wrong here that it's so depressing.
And I didn't know enough.
I just didn't know anything yet.
I didn't know about energy.
I didn't know about technology.
I didn't really...
It was 15 years ago.
But fast forward to today, I do know all that stuff, and I felt like it all really came together.
I've been kind of dealing with big parts of this paradigm.
I mean, you went through that list.
To get to that list took 15 years.
To get to each of those bullet points is very, very serious and very carefully constructed.
The book is a very careful book.
It's the ultimate cold take.
It's an ice-cold take.
It's the opposite of Twitter.
Every sentence is 100 pages of footnotes in a 400-page book.
So I'm not messing around with this.
It was a long process.
There were big moments.
Stay with me.
Stay with me.

Let's go.
Well, my thing is, Larry, I understand where you're coming from, but I get very disappointed because sometimes it very much seems like you bash black people, you know, and I don't understand that because if you look at the history of America, there's more white men that have done wrong to black men than black men have done wrong to white men.
I sure hope so.
I'm definitely going to look at it.
I appreciate it, Corey.
When you see it, pay attention to something that Candace Owens said about your saying she's not accepted by black people.
I get that a lot.
Well, you're putting down black people.
Well, I'm putting down certain black people.
I'm putting down Al Sharpton.
I'm putting down Jesse Jackson.
I'm putting down Farrakhan.

So first things first, what is communism?

I don't normally call a book a bombshell.
This one is.
One of the leading environmentalists with 100 pages.
In other words, a quarter of this book is footnotes.
But it reads extremely easily.
Apocalypse Never.
Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All.
I've spent a good part of my writing and broadcasting life talking about this alarmism.
In one of my books, I just list the number of hysterias of my lifetime that have captivated the public.
Do you have a theory on this?
Is the hysteria over the world collapsing?
The Al Gore induced hysteria.
Is it deliberate?
In other words, we need to make the world hysterical, as it were?
Is it manipulative?
Do they truly believe this?
What is your thinking on the whole thing?
Well, those are really important questions and really interesting questions.
And, of course, they're really difficult questions because we can't see inside people's minds, and so we don't know.
So we have to look for hints, suggestions.
I'll always say simply what I think, and then I can try to complexify it a bit.
I think that, for the most part, apocalyptic environmentalists are in the grip of a religion.
They don't know that they're in the grip of a religion, though.
So you or I might say we're Jewish or Christian or Muslim or Hindu or something, and we say that's our religion.
Apocalyptic environmentalists...
They don't say that.
They say, no, no, you might have a religion, but I am secular or atheist or I don't believe in God.
I know from science.
Science proves it.
This is the most dangerous thing, is that they have a religion and they don't acknowledge it.
They don't really admit it.
Now, do they know sometimes that they're lying?
Yes.
And I can document cases where I can show that and even some confessions from people, particularly around nuclear.
I mean, the advocacy against nuclear and the advocacy for renewables basically consists entirely of lying to people.
I mean, I don't really feel the need to soften very much because I've now done the research I can make that claim.
Renewables, they claim, are better for the environment than fossil fuels.
They're not.
They're worse.
They claim that nuclear is particularly bad for the environment.
It's not.
It's the best.
And the reasons for that are physical, inherent to the energy density of the fuel and the power density of their production, of electricity production, or the conversion of those fuels into electricity.
That is not controversial.
Energy density and power density are like the gravity of energy analysis.
It's just, you just measure the size, how much land a plant takes, and the amount of electrical output, and that's your power density number.
And in fact, we've known now, there's two beautiful books on this that show that the Industrial Revolution could not have happened without coal.
Wood did not provide enough energy for the Industrial Revolution.
They had to have coal to have industrialization.
And so we know that you can't power an industrial civilization on renewables.
It just requires too much land.
The best study on this, a full book-length study published by MIT that shows that we currently use a half a percent of land in the United States for energy production.
If you did 100% renewable, you would need 50% of the U.S. landmass.
That's never, ever going to happen, and even attempting it has been ecologically devastating.
So for me, maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I just kind of go, when there's a lie, when there's truth that is so obvious, And so clearly understood among scientists and scholars that is being denied publicly and denied to journalists and denied by journalists and denied by...
Eventually, eventually the truth will win out.
That is my belief.
And I just think apocalypse never will make it happen sooner rather than later.
That's the hope.
That's why I'm devoting so much time to it.
I've thought through all of these issues my whole life.
Whenever I hear eventually, it's like eventually the good wins.
The tragedy is, though, that until the eventually happens, the amount of damage done by the liars...
Enormous.
Yeah, see, eventually communism fell in the Soviet Union, but not after 20 to 40 million people were murdered by Stalin and the other communists.
Eventually, the Nazis were defeated, but 6 million Jews and Millions of others were slaughtered.
So the damage these people are doing with the apocalypse.
Let me ask you then, when you hear, I heard yesterday, just yesterday, I don't remember if it was national or California, mandate that all cars being built by 2035, that's 15 years from now, be electric cars.
What's your reaction?
Well, so the car, so transportation, I mean, let me say one thing before I answer.
Let me come to it a little indirectly, which is that, you know, apocalypse never describes what is really the main event in terms of protecting the environment and in driving human prosperity, which are energy transitions.
So in a small farmer economy, in a...
Subsistence farming economy, which is what we all used to live in, but now just a billion or so of us do.
It's a renewable-powered economy.
They use wood energy.
They might use water wheels or windmills.
And then as they start to develop, they use the highest form of renewable energy, which are large hydroelectric dams.
But then you transition to coal, to petroleum, to natural gas, to uranium, which is for nuclear, which is a positive...
Because in each stage in that energy transition, you're moving up the energy ladder.
You're using less of the natural environment.
You're getting more energy out of a lump of coal or out of a lump of uranium than you would a lump of wood.
So that's just some context.
Now, the easiest, if we want to reduce air pollution and reduce carbon emissions, Which I think is a good goal to have.
I don't think climate change is the most important issue in the world.
I do think it's something we should continue to do something on.
I point out that we've already been reducing our emissions, as you mentioned.
The easiest thing to do is just build nuclear power plants, like so many countries have, and you can then produce zero-carbon electricity.
The hardest things right now, if you wanted to try to replace petroleum in the transportation economy, The problems, I think everybody knows, there's just problems with electric cars, with batteries.
They're very material-intensive.
They're very expensive.
Obviously, you have a range problem.
So there's some real debate with scholars around whether or not the big investments for future energy, for transportation, should be from hydrogen gas or from electric batteries.
And my view is we don't know yet, and there's just a lot of demonstration that needs to be done.
Before we somehow know that lithium batteries, which just have big problems, are somehow going to be the best.
Okay, we'll continue.
This explosive work by a man deemed a great environmentalist activist, who in effect has issued a scientific apology.
It's called Apocalypse Never.

Michael Schellenberger, we continue.
And so the trick is to find a balance and to make sure that we hold them accountable and make sure that they don't exploit.
Personal private data from our citizens and our clients and monetize those in a way that's unconstitutional, that's illegal.
But at the same time, not inhibit innovation.
Big tech spawns a lot of other opportunities.
Make sure that they're not acting in a way that stifles innovation either, and that the smaller technology companies...
You know, aren't pushed out of the field.
So those are all concerns that we have.
You know that we're leading a giant investigation against Google, Ken Paxton in Texas, and I and others, Nebraska, Doug Peterson, and we're focused.
I think is Brnovich involved, too?
I think Brnovich is involved.
Bruno's involved, yes.
Mark Brnovich in Arizona, and many others.
I don't want to start naming names because there's so many.

Yes, I think we've got to try to get this thing under control so that this country can get back to where it needs to be.
But instead of, you know, executive order demands that people want Trump to sign or arresting people for not wearing a mask when they go for a walk in the park, maybe we all ought to be talking about, oh, I don't know.
This!
So any malls that will open in New York, large malls, we will make it mandatory that they have air filtration systems that can filter out the COVID virus.
For many of these systems, it depends on what filter you install, called the MERV rating of the filter.
But they have different filters that filter out different size particles.
And they have filters that can actually filter out and catch the COVID virus.
For large, more reopenings, which we haven't done yet, but we're going to make this mandatory.
Mandatory.
So malls all over New York better be scrambling right now to spend, I don't know what, millions of dollars to install filtration systems that I don't know that I've ever heard of.
I've been trying to pay attention, haven't you?
We're all looking for something that's going to get ahead of this thing.
But, of course, he went on to point out that Trump, of course, has failed miserably in everything he's done, especially COVID-19, and he needs to sign that executive order mandating that if you leave your home, you better have a mask on.

Hero of the Environment, winner of various Green Awards, lifetime environmentalist, and now, in effect, has apologized for the alarmism.
So I, let me, I, look, I've said this, but I'm not a scientist, and I'm not an environmentalist.
I've even said that this was, you'll find this of interest.
I have quoted probably a hundred times, even though he never said it.
G.K. Chesterton is the person they generally attach this quote to.
When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing.
They believe in anything.
Oh my gosh, I had never heard that before.
I knew you'd love it.
No, I knew you would love it.
Because I think I have a sense of who you are.
And you're a thinker.
But that's exactly it.
Just so you'll know, since you are a thinker, I have described my life's work, 35 years on radio, 10 books, etc., as if it had to be boiled down to one subject, it would be the consequences of secularism.
And all the isms that arise, Marxism, Socialism, Environmentalism, Feminism, They are substitute religions after the death of Christianity, and I'm a Jew saying this.
So, you know, it was hard for me to keep quiet, but I so wanted people to hear your description of this as a religion.
Anyway, let me ask you on specifics.
So, we're told over and over, 97% of scientists agree that carbon emissions are heating the planet.
What is your response to that?
Yeah, I mean, I guess my book is different from, you know, I think a lot of the criticisms of climate alarmism in the past.
So I do think that the climate is changing.
I do think the planet is warming.
I do think humans are having an influence on the climate.
But I don't think that it's apocalyptic.
I don't even think it's our worst problem.
And I think that the use of that 97% of scientists' claim, which, first of all, I've not looked into it myself, but there's something about it that doesn't seem quite right, and I see it abused to basically stifle debate and narrow the debate.
And so I would never...
I've never repeated that line or think it's value to it.
In fact, I think what it's saying is that somehow if you're in the 3%, that you're unimportant.
But, of course, we know that the way that knowledge evolves and progresses and our understanding evolves is that...
That what we think we are so sure we know turns out to be wrong, and sometimes it ends up being radically wrong.
I mean, we've seen this now on diet, where the promotion of a high-carb diet has fallen apart.
There's a bunch of big scientific replication crisis going on right now, and we've got so-called scientific bodies that are allowing themselves, and by which I mean the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which invited me to serve as an expert reviewer, This is all coming from inside the church, so to speak, has participated in being alarmist and in being apocalyptic.
IPCC needs to either change or it needs to just fold as an organization because of its contribution to the alarmism.
So I find the bullying that's used to stifle scientific inquiry and debate.
I find the use of the word skeptic as a pejorative to be offensive because we should all strive to be skeptical in our science and in our faith.
So, you know, anyway, that's my reaction to that sentence.
Good.
We'll continue with you.

And he is back out there.

But it's actually very scary.
The Joe Biden that we see today, Sebastian, is really just the shell of a person.

They are not even the Democrat Party of, you know, 30 years ago.

The only person that is standing up for law and order in this country is Donald Trump.
Then you look at the fact that this guy now has Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as his climate change advisor, the Green New Deal, let's not forget the $93 trillion price tag on that, millions of energy jobs lost overnight.
What that would ultimately mean for this country is probably bankruptcy.
Pretty quickly.
That, along with the fact that this guy wants open borders, free health care for illegal immigrants, he's getting pushed further and further left.
He doesn't know which way is up.

We have reached the point where why I love America is controversial.
Like the Tennessee diner that was threatened with being set on fire because it was alleged that they had given some food to a pro-police force in Chattanooga rally.
It's a different world.
And part of it...
It's explained in Apocalypse Never, Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All by Michael Schellenberger, who has devoted his life to this.
Your book has discussions of various people, obviously instrumental in this field.
Bill McKibben is probably the best known for those of us who follow this stuff.
So I was just reading during the break where his father was arrested.
For an anti-nuclear weapons demonstration, or was active in it, and he became anti-nuclear power, not just nuclear weapons.
What?
What?
Well, before I say what, let me offer you, since you're one of those guests that it's so obvious you think, so you will like another one.
Well, if you don't like it, you will find it fascinating.
Let's put it that way.
David Horowitz, the only person I believe knows the left better than I do, said about environmentalism many years ago that it was a watermelon, green on the outside and red on the inside.
So, McGibbon, the watermelon, take it from there.
Yeah, I mean, I think one of the most interesting things, one of the questions I had is how did environmentalism marry basically socialism on the one hand and Malthusianism on the other hand?
Thomas Malthus was the 18th century economist.
He's generally thought of as a conservative.
He was hated by Marx and Engels.
They called him a stain on the human race.
So how did socialists then come to...
And the big idea, of course, of Malthus is that we're going to run out of food.
And he couldn't have been more wrong.
I mean, the opposite has happened, right?
Humans have gotten better at producing more food and obviously sustain a much larger human population.
So in the 60s, basically what happens is that it was no longer socially acceptable or politically popular to be a socialist anymore.
There was a deliberate attempt to sort of find a different label or brand for socialist agenda, which was to gain control over large parts of the economy, particularly food and energy, which have to do with the environment.
And then there was an accommodation made.
I mean, I'm not suggesting there was some explicit agreement, but just kind of after some arguments and debates.
And the idea was we will work that environmentalists would, the Malthusians and the socialists would work together to make everybody in rich countries poorer, and we would try to lift up people in poor countries a little bit.
They'd get a solar panel and a battery for their hut, for example, along with some empowerment workshops, you know, but certainly not flood control or hydroelectric dams or anything that would actually lift them out of poverty.
And that was the deal that was made.
It's a really monstrous hybrid of Malthusianism and Marxism.
So that's my only amendment to the watermelon theory.
I think it gets it about half right, but it misses the fact that it also contains this noxious Malthusianism.
When they say that carbon emissions raise the temperature, which in turn will lead to massive droughts and the flooding, Of coastal areas all over the earth.
What is your response?
Yeah, they're talking about biblical stories, aren't they?
Yes.
You know, they're reconstructing their religion as the story of the end.
So, you know, the science, of course, shows that the way we deal, if there is more precipitation and more flooding, the way we'll deal with that is by having better flood control systems.
You know, the New York Times recently did a big piece on flooding, you know, which suggested that the climate plays this really important role.
You know, but it never mentions the fact that what makes the difference between whether you have bad floods or not is whether you have a proper flood control system.
And did you actually maintain it?
And is it large enough?
And that's the main event.
And so I think it's really irresponsible to be telling schoolchildren that somehow they're going to be washed away or that.
And, of course, the thing you cite is not from 2019, but from 1989. So this alarmism has been just going on for so long, for 30 years.
And I think, though, that it is kind of running out of steam.
I mean, when you have to put a 17-year-old girl as your main spokesperson, I think it shows you've got a problem.
No kidding.
I have a line, since you've been receptive, you might enjoy.
I made up a riddle.
What do you call a religious person who says the end is coming?
A crackpot.
What do you call a secular person who says the world is ending?
An environmentalist.
I've never heard that, but that is spot on.
You made that up?
Yes.
That's spot on.
Yes, indeed.
It's a relief to know that people like you exist.
I just need you to know that.
Well, thank you so much, sir, and thank you very much for your kind words and for reading the book.

Senior White House and non-White House officials, the bottom line, the president was not briefed on this because his CIA briefer did not deem the intelligence verified, and not one agency outside of the government believed it was verified to the level to warrant Presidential alert.
And the intel people inside the White House shared that assessment.
Now, I don't know what you've learned about it, and please tell us, but generally speaking, you know Mike Morrell.
I know Mike Morrell.
You know how the president's briefing works.
As the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, I had regular access to it.
I'm very familiar with the process.
I think you've described it accurately.
It does vary from president to president.
People do absorb information in different ways.
I will say this, Hugh, and I think you'd agree with this.
The report, if true, is extremely shocking.
And I think I know had I been Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and in charge of that mission in Afghanistan and had seen that intelligence at whatever level, I would have sent that like a rocket.

No, I'll tell you what it is.
It's utter, absolute, wanky, cheater, bollocks is what it is.
Arrest me.
Feel better now.
Okay.
Yeah, I think we all feel a little better after listening to that.
Rich Lowry writes a similar theme.
Woke censorship is basically a superstitious cult, he says.
We're living in a society right now gripped by a quasi-religious fervor, obsessed with symbols and irrational fears.
Anything that's thought to have the slightest association with racism, no matter how attenuated the connection or how innocent the explanation, must be crushed, must be expunged.
The mere presence of a possibly offending word is deemed a threat, whether it's truly offensive or any real people have actually taken offense.
Ours is an enchanted world, like that of the old Norse, who believed in land spirits who could bless or hinder travelers who didn't pay them heed.
Our society isn't progressing, he writes, but falling back into a superstition that everyone must believe or pretend to believe for the supposed well-being.
July, thank you for the call. .
Be a great time for you to put the flag out.
If the country were just awash in U.S. flags, American flags, this weekend, it would be a beautiful way of responding to the hatred of the left for this country.
The greatest lie of my lifetime.
One of the greatest lies in history is that America is a racist country.
I have an article on that.
I wrote it years ago, about the greatest libel.
You can find it on the internet.
The left lies for a living.
You just heard it this hour about the world coming to an end, and especially the phoniness about their arguments without resorting to nuclear power.
We're awash in lies.
Whatever you think of the president, he's entirely right about the lying media.
I can't tell you how bad that is.
These people are an insult to their profession.
Virtually all editors and reporters would have done perfectly well in the Soviet Union writing for Pravda.
Where the power is, that's where they lean toward.
The power is on the left.
It takes a men's courage to, in fact, to get fired.
You won't even have a job if you don't go along with the left.
It's so rare.
Maybe one out of 50 opinion writers are not on the left in any of the major newspapers.
So I look at it this way.
The vow I took at Normandy about 25 years ago, and I saw all the grave sites.
And I thought, you know, these guys died for America and for liberty.
The least I could do is live for America and for liberty.
Sounds like a good one to me.
And by the way, just for the record, should the left succeed in destroying the United States?
The amount of cruelty that will take place outside the United States will be a new dark age for humanity.
America has been the dam holding back the waters of evil and cruelty for at least 80 years.
Certainly since World War II. There's a lot at stake right now.
We are not a racist country.
One of the many proofs is all the hoaxes necessary.
All those that were made in order to show the country is racist.
If the country were racist, you would never need a hoax.
