Thank you.
Very long. .
I don't know if you can rebuild.
I don't want to depress you.
And I mean it, I'm being cute.
Listen to this clip from CNN. CNN's Angela Rye.
Listen to this.
Latinos.
There were already black people.
So if we're going to relitigate history, let's start with that.
Is it about statues and monuments?
I know you saw the interview I did with Corey Stewart, who's trying to run for a Senate seat there in Virginia.
And he makes the case that it is about...
Statues and monuments and everyone's trying to make it about something else.
I think that we have to get to the heart of the problem here and the heart of the problem is the way in which many of us were taught American history.
American history is not all glorious and even though I love John to death, I couldn't disagree more about George Washington.
George Washington was a slave owner and we need to call slave owners out for what they are.
Whether we think they were protecting American freedom or not, he wasn't protecting my freedom.
I wasn't someone who my ancestors weren't deemed human beings to him.
And so to me, I don't care if it's a George Washington statue or a Thomas Jefferson statue or a Robert E. Lee statue.
They all need to come down.
There's a way that we can recognize and appreciate.
I'm not finished, John.
You're feeding into Steve Banning and Trump's talking points.
No, no, no.
But I'm not.
But I'm not.
But I'm not, John.
I'm going to finish my point.
I'm going to finish my point.
I'm not feeding into white supremacy.
I'm calling out white supremacy for what it is.
And sometimes what it is, John, are blind spots.
Sometimes what it is is not acknowledging that this country was built upon a very violent past that resulted in death and the raping and the killing of my ancestors.
So I'm not going to allow us to say that it's okay for a Robert E. Lee but not a George Washington.
We need to call it what it is.
And I'm not saying that they don't deserve to be taught about.
We definitely need to...
To learn about it so that we don't repeat it, because we're very close to repeating it right now.
But I'm not giving any deference to George Washington or to Robert E. Lee.
Well, let me jump in.
You know, when the president said, well, I'm going to take down statues of George Washington, of course, he was mocked by the lying, deceiving, mendacious, dishonest, immoral media.
But I said at the time, of course he's right.
That is exactly where the logic goes.
There is no country whose ancestors ultimately did not have slaves.
So, allow me to explain to you what one does here.
It's white supremacy.
I'm just reviewing her arguments.
It's white supremacy to think that we should have monuments to George Washington.
Really?
I don't know who we would have monuments to, given the flaws of people who have lived.
But let me give you the answer here.
You judge people in their times.
Not by our times.
I learned that in the book that has no place in modern education.
And that's the root of the problem because there is no moral wisdom today.
And that is called the Bible.
That's why I beg you, as almost humiliating for me as it is to beg you, but I beg you to read the Rational Bible.
Because the answers are there, my commentary on these great books, I might add, if I may, makes a great Father's Day gift.
It's gorgeously printed in a beautiful, beautiful hardback volume of both Genesis and Exodus.
And in Genesis, I point out that there is a verse that is very powerful.
Was a righteous man in his generations.
Why were the words in his generations added?
Why didn't it merely say, and Noah was a righteous man?
That's the one person God saved in the flood of which he brought on humanity.
Whether you believe the story or not is irrelevant.
It's the lesson that matters.
And it's the lessons that I teach.
And the answer is, in his generations, he was righteous.
If later generations were to judge him, he would not be as righteous.
You judge people in their generations.
George Washington made the freest country and ultimately, ultimately, not immediately, obviously, for vast numbers of black people, a blessing.
That's why you should read Out of America, Keith Richburg, black journalist for decades for the Washington Post, describing how grateful he is to be a black in America and not a black in Africa.
And I brought to you the data, which some people couldn't believe, so they wrote to me.
They didn't disbelieve me, but they found it unbelievable.
Please, Dennis, send me the sources.
So I send them the sources of the data.
2 million black Africans have immigrated to the United States voluntarily in the last 40 or so years, and 600,000 came as slaves in the entirety of all the slave movement to came as slaves in the entirety of all the slave movement
This loathing of America and its founders will end up with the end of America.
You can't make a society that has contempt for itself.
Especially one that went through hell, called the Civil War, to abolish.
That particular institution, which in any event existed in half of the place.
What did she say in that moronic comment?
That it's going to happen again or something?
I've got to isolate that.
Is it danger that this is going to happen again?
Wow.
1-8 Prager 776. The issue of race is the left's battering ram to destroy this country.
Now, do you believe me?
I think more of you do when I say, and as I've said for decades, everything the left touches, it destroys.
And its greatest target of all is the United States of America.
The most recent wreckage is...
It's football.
I played you Roger Goodell's obsequious comments yesterday.
While states like New York are finally passing legislation that tries to stop police violence, those changes are being resisted by a very powerful force.
If you love this country.
In fact, just listen to the...
It's very sad.
It's a difficult time.
We may come out of it.
We may not come out of it.
But I'll tell you this.
People who understand what is happening and still won't vote for Donald Trump because they can't stand Donald Trump are putting their self-esteem above America's survival.
That's what it amounts to.
No, I can't vote for Donald Trump.
He's just so beneath contempt in my eyes.
Is what these people will say.
So I will vote for the party that is wrecking the United States, that has been taken over by America-loathing ideas.
It's disconcerting.
Do you know that there is a music college in Boston, Berkeley Music Conservatory or College?
that has apologized for allowing police to use their restroom many I think many police listen to this program You need to know that the voices that loathe you are loudest because the left loathes you.
I'll tell you this.
There is a policeman who has voted Democrat.
You should do penitence.
That's the irony.
Please know the majority of us know how indispensable you are to the survival of vast numbers of individuals and the society.
This old rotten apples theory.
You don't think there are rotten apples in medicine?
Law?
We'll be back.

A call is going out now for the dismantling of the Minneapolis Police Department.
The president of the city council said this when asked about what to do in the case of a break-in.
Yes, I mean, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors.
And I know, and myself too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege because for those of us for whom the system is working, I think we need to step back and imagine what it would feel like to already live in that reality where calling the police may mean more harm is done.
There's no doubt that our cities and communities need restoration, including greater peaceful engagement between police and citizens.
Yet the idea that wanting protection is privilege is not sound.
In fact, it's absurd and won't restore anything.
Police who act unjustly are accountable to the rule of law and must be.
But there is no need to qualify what a society without police will look like.
More harm will surely be done.
May coming days bring greater safety and meaningful restoration.
I'm Owen Strand.

ADF fighting for those whose religious freedom is being violated.
We know this is only temporary.
We know it can't go on like this forever.
We have to keep focusing on the future and get through this thing day by day.
But when it ends, the sun will come out.
Jobs will start up again.
The traffic jam we used to hate will come back.
Thank God for cars.
So many things we took for granted are going to be so special.
We'll get through this.

And we have this radio station.

How can these people out there in the streets not know, according to the CDC, that police killings of blacks have dramatically declined over the last 45 years?
By almost 75%.
How can you not know that?
How can you not know of a peer-reviewed study in a publication put out by the National Association of Sciences in which every single police shooting in the year 2015 was examined and they could not find any evidence whatsoever of disproportionate deadly force used against blacks?
And then, of course, there's a smaller study by the Harvard economists I told you about.
Not only did he not find that they use disproportionate deadly force against blacks, but that they were more hesitant, more reluctant to use deadly force against blacks than against whites.
More whites are murdered by blacks than blacks are murdered by whites.
How can you not know that?
Now, again, as I said many times, most murder is same-race murder.
But to the extent that there are interracial black-white homicides every year, about 750, How can you not know that blacks kill 500 whites, even though blacks are 13% of the population, and whites kill 250 blacks, even though they're around 61% of the population?
How can you not know that?
You're out in the streets making all these assertions.
What you're doing is making things worse.
You're creating an image of the police department that's going to make people not want to join it, and you're causing the so-called Ferguson effect that Rahm Emanuel talked about.
Where he said the police in Chicago have rolled themselves up into a fetal position for fear of being accused of being racist.
Well done, Black Lives Matter.

I have said that the 2016 election was the most important.
And even more important than the 2020. Now I'm thinking 2020 is as important as 2016. Not because of the re-election of Donald Trump, which I think is very important, but because the left will come into power.
The left could have both houses of Congress and the presidency.
And that would go very far in ending free speech in this country, Threatened beyond anything in American history.
But my heart breaks for the lack of celebration of America, for the celebration of those who hate America.
Antifa takes over a police station in Seattle, and a six-block area declares itself independent from the United States.
And when this leftist Governor of Washington, a fool who will barely make a footnote when they write the history, not even of America, but of Washington State, said in a press conference that he doesn't know anything about it, so he's not going to comment on it.

The issue is the lockdown.
The hysterics who kept the lockdown way too long have destroyed 40% of black-owned businesses.

She's going to text it to me.
She's listening to an audiobook.
I'll email you it, but it was pretty unbelievable that she didn't believe she was racist, and something she read taught her that she was.
Okay, well, let me say something about that, aside from how sick that is, and all whites are racist.
So, by the way, all whites are racist.
Are there any racists who are not white?
Is this unique?
The answer from the left, I got it at college.
This is not new.
That is correct.
There are no non-white racists.
Racism is entirely a white creation.
Which is, of course, a lie.
I mean, ask blacks in Brazil how they feel.
Well, I guess that would be, I guess you would say that they were white Brazilians to the extent that there was racism there.
But in any event, so Louis Farrakhan, who says that the white man was created by the devil and is inherently evil, is not a racist.
So is there any, it's an interesting thing, is there any other Moral flaw that only one race can have.
Isn't that interesting?
But you can say it.
And then, by the way, one other thing is very important.
This is a very insidious thing for many reasons, another one of which is it measures people by their thoughts.
Not by their deeds.
Okay everybody, I'm Dennis Prager.
We return.
We return.
I think we need to step back and imagine what it would feel like to already live in that reality where calling the police may mean more harm is done.

How can these people out there in the streets not know, according to the CDC, that police killings of blacks have dramatically declined over the last 45 years by almost 75%.
How can you not know that?
How can you not know of a peer-reviewed study in a publication put out by the National Association of Sciences?
In which every single police shooting in the year 2015 was examined, and they could not find any evidence whatsoever of disproportionate deadly force used against blacks.
And then, of course, there's a smaller study by the Harvard economists I told you about.
Not only did he not find that they used disproportionate deadly force against blacks, but that they were more hesitant, more reluctant to use deadly force against blacks than against whites.
More whites are murdered by blacks than blacks are murdered by whites.
How can you not know that?
Now again, as I said many times, most murder is same-race murder.
But to the extent that there are interracial black-white homicides every year, about 750, how can you not know that blacks kill 500 whites, even though blacks are 13% of the population, and whites kill 250 blacks, even though they're around 61% of the population?
How can you not know that?
You're out in the streets making all these assertions, What you're doing is making things worse.
You're creating an image of the police department that's going to make people not want to join it, and you're causing the so-called Ferguson effect that Rahm Emanuel talked about, where he said the police in Chicago have rolled themselves up into a fetal position for fear of being accused of being racist.

Hugh, it's kind of amazing that in many of our biggest cities as of today, you can be arrested for trying to open your business and earn a living or going to church to worship your God, but you apparently can't be arrested for rioting and looting in groups of hundreds or thousands.
That has to change, and it has to change tonight.
Now, Senator Cotton, I may be wrong.
I'm often wrong.
Never in doubt, frequently wrong, as we say.
But yesterday, the president did a very good thing with his speech and with his walk to St. John's, because he was not just going to St. John's, he was going to every storefront that had been vandalized, to every small business that had been destroyed.
That's what I thought that was.
Blue check bubble people and orange man bad people had a collective stroke and said those poor demonstrators were the subject of rubber bullets, which I don't believe were used.
And gas, which I think were flashbangs, not tear gas, but I'm not sure.

what did you Prager here.
Happiness Hour since 1999, the second hour of my show on Fridays.
No matter how bad things are, I have a Happiness Hour because that's precisely when the subject is even more important.
I have an interesting topic today, but let's get the rest of the theme.
Yes, it is!
Yes, it is, everybody.
It's the Happiness Hour on the Dennis Prager Show.
Remember what I say every single week?
This is going to be my theme today.
And you are free to respond.
Call in on your thoughts.
Ask related questions to happiness in this crisis time.
The greatest crisis, perhaps, since the Civil War.
I think it is the greatest crisis within America since the Civil War.
What I say every week is the happy make the world better and the unhappy make it worse.
We are living through that right now.
Let me ask you a question.
You see those videos of people smashing store windows and kicking them in, throwing bricks through them, etc.
Burning Police cars, etc.
Do you think that the people doing that have led happy lives?
Of course the answer is no.
Happy people don't loot and smash windows.
There is a relationship.
Obviously the most important issue is conscience and combined with reason, but Happiness is a big factor in determining how people will, in fact, behave.
Happiness is a moral virtue.
Remember, that is the underlying theme of my book on happiness, Happiness is a Serious Problem, and my lectures, and, of course, this hour each week.
Because the happy do make the world better.
When you are unhappy, you have two basic choices.
Thank you.
You can blame others or you can Well, I guess you have three choices.
You can blame others, you can blame life, or you can blame yourself.
And obviously, depending on the situation, I mean, if you are in a concentration camp, you have the right to blame others.
Americans are not in concentration camps, so that is obviously not a viable analogy for what happens here.
But if you...
In America, to blame America where the vast majority of people are truly free and not oppressed is...
There's no possible way for you to attain happiness unless your happiness comes from nihilism.
And it's an interesting question.
Were the people kicking in Macy's windows in Manhattan, were they happy when they were doing it?
The odds are that they were.
It probably brought them some sort of adrenaline rush.
But it's not happy people who are doing it.
I mean, right?
I mean, the idea is an absurdity.
God, I really love life.
I enjoy life.
I have wonderful friends and family.
And now I'm going to smash windows at Macy's.
Right?
I mean, it's a little absurd.
In fact, I think most of us don't even assume that they have a family that brings them any joy.
That's a two-fold issue.
They don't have a family, period, and if they have a family, it doesn't bring them joy.
By not having family, I don't mean parents.
I mean a wife and children.
Usually it's men doing the kingdom, but a lot of women were participating.
In fact, women may have outnumbered men in some of these instances.
Not in the smashing of the windows, I guess, in the protests, which I fully acknowledge is a different dimension, the protests and the violence.
I am not equating them in any way.
But I didn't want to sound like I was excluding women from the equation.
But in most cases of the violence, I suspect it was males.
Anyway, I... Don't think that they have these guys.
I don't think they went home to a loving wife and kids.
Remember, generally speaking, marriage has civilized men.
Women and men need to work on their natures.
Men on their proclivity to violence.
and sexual predatory behavior and women on the power of their emotions.
We each have to work on our natures.
America has done a great job, for the most part, of having men marry, settle down, have children, And in the days before the nihilism of the 60s and 70s began,
and now we are seeing their fruits, we had programs like Father Knows Best, which of course is mocked beyond recognition by these people.
And with all of its corniness, it was a beautiful thing.
To see the parents simply love each other, respect each other, and the kids respect their father.
Respecting your father is a huge element in how decent you will be as you grow up.
Huge.
Not loving your father.
That's a bonus.
Respecting your father.
So this happiness hour is dedicated to the issue of the happy make the world better and the unhappy make it worse.
Not every unhappy person smashed windows at Macy's, but every person who smashed windows at Macy's was an unhappy person.
That's the point that I am making.
So remember, so you have three choices.
You're unhappy, back to that theme.
You can blame society.
You can blame life.
You can blame yourself.
That's the theme here.
So these people, and indeed the entire left, blames society.
If they're unhappy, society, it's capitalism, it's oppression, it's racism, it's misogyny.
That is the reason for my unhappiness.
If America were just...
A decent place, I would be happy.
Then you can blame life.
Life simply is difficult.
That's what a mature person understands.
Life is hard.
There is no utopia.
Utopia is not available on this visit to life, in this incarnation, if you will.
And that is the way it is, and I have to deal with life because it is filled with vicissitudes.
And your third possibility is to blame yourself.
What am I doing or have I done or not done that has contributed to my unhappiness?
That's the particularly mature individual.
The psychotherapeutic world, which has become morally and intellectually corrupted, like every other branch of knowledge in our society, has generally conveyed like every other branch of knowledge in our society, has generally conveyed the message to others are the reason for your unhappiness.
You do not have to look at your contribution to your unhappiness.
Your parents screwed you up.
Society screwed you up.
And that is what is conveyed in the worst possible message to truly help patients.
Most therapists do damage, some therapists do nothing, and some therapists do a lot of good.

Hi, everybody.
The Happiness Hour.
Second Hour every Friday.
I am reviewing the always stated theme of, or one of the themes of the Happiness Hour.
The happy make the world better.
The unhappy make it worse.
There is a cultivation of anger and unhappiness and ingratitude on the left, which is producing massive unhappiness.
Happy people.
Do not buy that message.
I have a riddle that I have.
You said, what do you call a happy black American?
And the answer is a conservative.
And it's largely true.
If you meet a conservative black, you are in the presence...
Generally speaking, a rather happy individual.
I know many conservative blacks, and it's unbelievably consistent.
It's true about any group.
But it's particularly true about the group in the news these days, obviously.
It's the centerpiece of the narrative of how evil America is.
Black America.
All right, and let's go to Earl in New York City.
Hello, Earl.
Hello, Dennis.
Everything you said about happiness is really speaking to me.
But recently, I've been feeling pretty unhappy because I'm in New York City, and so I'm just surrounded by liberals.
No, you're surrounded by leftists.
If you were surrounded by liberals, it would be fine.
Yeah, I know what you mean.
Leftists, Maoists, all that stuff.
So, yeah, I've just been, you know, because we can't really leave our apartments.
I'm just feeling very unhappy, and I can't find a girlfriend.
I was just wondering if you had any advice on that.
Yeah, leave New York City as soon as you can.
I have no other piece of advice.
I don't know why you would stay in a place that has contempt for you.
Yeah, just the one thing I was...
I think the cause of it might be my massive jowls and this gross white stuff.
Okay.
All right.
I'm going to get into that right now.
But anyway, that was my...
Okay.
Let's go to Jim in Genesee, Idaho.
Hello, Jim.
Hi, Dennis.
Please clean the old white person crust from the side of your mouth.
He was right.
Say that again?
I said, please clean the old person white crust from the side of your mouth.
He was right.
This is Frank Holliday.
This is typical of the left.
The only time they come on is to sabotage programs.
They never come on as guests.
Okay.
That was profound.
All right, we move on.
And Portland, Oregon, and Patrick.
Hello, Patrick.
Hey, Dennis.
I heard that when you climax, it looks like sand dripping out of an hourglass.
So now it's organized.
Right.
Okay, so none of these things get on the air, by the way.
So you're all just wasting your own time.
But they can waste their time because they don't have anything to do with their lives.
I don't understand why people do not loathe the left.
Why liberals don't.
It is one of the great anomalies of my life.
But by the time they do, it may be too late for the country.
That's a fear that I have.
All right, can we go on, Sean, here?
What's our story?
Okay, so 1-8 Prager 776. And we will go to the next call here.
And Richmond, Virginia, and Daryl, hello.
Hi, Dr. Frager.
I just want to say, you should really clean off the stuff on the back.
Okay, I'll say, say it.
Well, who organizes these things?
It's fascinating.
They're all young men.
I suspect every single one.
Doesn't have children.
And I suspect many of them are in their parents' basement looking for meaning in life.
And they find it in trying to get on national radio with some sexual reference.
Deep, eh?
Okay.
Let's give another try here.
Tracy in Jacksonville, Florida.
Hi, Dennis.
It's Tracy, and I'm not in the basement.
Okay, so fine.
You tell me when we can proceed here.
Yes, I understand.
That's fine.
I want you to remember this notion of this is the happiness hour, and there are three things to hold responsible.
For your unhappiness.
Society, life, yourself.
That's really an important message.
And in the United States, I'm not speaking about communist Russia or Nazi Germany.
In the United States, it's life and yourself.
That is what you have to understand are the roots of your unhappiness.
But life has been so good for so many Americans for so long, especially since World War II, that people naively assume that when there is a problem, it must be because America is so awful.
By the way, this was, in terms of happiness, the left is doing terrible damage, I believe, to black America.
By concentrating the attention of there are unhappy people of every race, but only one group in America is told if you're unhappy, it's because of other Americans.
That's not going to help happiness in black America.

How to stop it?
Young people seem always to be the easy marks for this kind of, marks, no pun intended, easy marks for this kind of thinking.
That's true.
I also think that young people will say the Scandinavian model works, but they don't know what the Scandinavian model is.
So the Scandinavian countries, for example, are capitalist in wealth creation.
They're socialist in wealth distribution, but they're very careful not to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.
And so you have low corporate tax rates, about 20%, same as in America.
You have no minimum wage in most Scandinavian countries.
They have no wealth tax, no inheritance tax.
You can hire and fire people for any reason.
Regulations are less than in this country.
Dinesh, I just have to hit pause for a second.
Everything you've just said is stunning.
I mean, the idea that they have low corporate tax rates, low wealth tax.
I mean, you would never dream that in a country that people think of as socialist, that that would be the case.
Bernie Sanders is not advertising that.
No, and in fact, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren want to impose financial transaction taxes on Wall Street.
Now, there's no Scandinavian country that goes near this.
The second part of it is they say, look, we can have a generous welfare state, but here's the point.
Everybody has to pay for it, not just the rich.
We're not going to go after the billionaires.
The basic idea is if we have a 50% tax rate and you make $60,000 a year, give us $30,000.
So in other words, they tax the middle class.

And the phone number here is 1-8-Prager-776.
And let's see what goes here.
Okie doke.
All right, Don in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
Thanks for taking my call.
So I have sort of a different stance on this.
Are you there?
Okay, yes, I am.
Dennis, you there?
Yep.
Okay, sorry.
So I have a different stance on this.
I take full responsibility for my happiness, but rather than the person who blames God for their unhappiness, I believe He foreordains whatsoever shall come to pass, so therefore whatever comes into my life, He's doing so to shape my character because He wants to make me holy, not necessarily happy.
Therefore, I have no reason to be upset with whatever transpires because it's filtered through the hand of God.
That's not my view, but I have a great deal of respect for it.
You would have more of a deist point of view, right?
Where God's sitting back and he's seeing the good and evil that transpires to you and you're to respond in the right way to it.
That's right.
But a deist is certainly not what I am.
I mean, I believe God knows me.
I believe God's intervention most directly on the individual level comes in the afterlife.
Where there is ultimate reward and punishment and somehow a working out of what has happened on earth.
But it's hard for me to believe, but I don't reject it.
When I said to you, you know, I don't patronize callers.
So when I said I respect your view, I think one of my sons has a view very close to you that it is God working.
So if you get cancer, how old are you?
I'm 59. Okay, so middle-aged.
So if you got cancer now, do you have children?
Maybe I'll make it even more severe.
Do you have children?
I do.
Okay, so what are they in their 20s, 30s?
Yes, 30s.
Okay, so if God forbid one of your children got cancer, your view would be that God had sent it?
My view would be that whether God allowed it or whether he directly sent it, it ultimately comes to the hand of God, yet he's not responsible for the evil, so therefore I have to respond well to it knowing that it was filtered to the hand of God.
Okay, I don't understand.
If God is responsible for the cancer, why isn't he responsible for the suffering?
Well, because I believe that the soul that sins shall die, and the wages of sin is death.
When we sin, for him to not take our life away is a mercy.
So everything that comes our way in life is basically not great.
Wait, then do you believe that those who get cancer early, Are bigger sinners than those who live to 100?
Absolutely not.
All right, I'm just going to leave it because I have to take more calls.
Thank you.
Look, I've titled my commentary on the Bible, The Rational Bible.
I believe that God has given us reason, and we are divinely obligated to use it.
That's my belief.
Just as I believe God wants us to be free, which is why we have a verse from Leviticus, the third book of the Bible, on the Liberty Bell, I believe God wants us to use reason.
So as a deeply religious person, I feel that I have to have rational views on subjects concerning God.
All right, let's continue here.
We will as soon as I come back.
How do you like that?

That doesn't mean we can't do a lot better.
But it doesn't mean that a sizable percentage of America is bad.
Evidently, former Vice President Joe Biden and the Democrat presidential nominee thinks a pretty sizable portion of America is bad.
He had a town hall yesterday, another one of these virtual town halls.
It feels like every time Biden goes off script, He gets in trouble.
Do you believe that up to 15% of Americans are bad people?
Is that your view of the nation?
If we're going to start categorizing what percentage is good, what percentage is bad, I don't know, that doesn't seem like a winning campaign strategy to me.
Here was Joe Biden yesterday.
He was with actor Don Cheadle in a virtual town hall.
Do we really think this is as good as we can be as a nation?
I don't think the vast majority of people think that.
They're probably anywhere from 10 to 15% of the people out there that are just not very good people.
But that's not who we are.
The vast majority of people are decent.
We have to appeal to that and we have to unite people.
Bring them together.
That's a heck of a way to unite, Mr. Biden.
That up to 15% of Americans are not very good people.

You can hire and fire people for any reason.
regulations are less than in this country and actually i just have to hit me your clone because i've never heard a word come out of your mouth that i don't agree with 100 which is rare and i i've heard some of the i haven't heard what the callers were doing or saying because a lot of them you were able to you know stop them from coming on the air but i think i did the happiness hour i've been listening for about 20 years and it's my favorite hour of the week i look forward to it and i've listened to you for just as long every day that i can and i can tell you
i've never listened to somebody that is more kind more professional even with people that And I've learned a lot from you, because I used to get really angry with people that would tell lies, or, I mean, I'm a gay conservative, and I've heard all the stories, oh, he's going to be put on an island if Bush was elected, or Trump is going to destroy you because he hates gays, and I think I... I've learned a lot from you how to have conversations with people,
and even when they disagree with me, and it is so frustrating because I can have an honest conversation, but at least be honest and don't make up stories and lies.
It's difficult.
But I just wanted to call and say that because your show means a lot to me, and I think it's disgusting that people would call in and try to ruin that for other people that are enjoying it.
But it's typical of the left.
That is correct.
You're a good man.
You know, somebody should write an article.
On the prominence of gay conservatives or conservative gays.
I have to think of which would be the better way to put it.
And by the way, there is a difference between gay conservative and conservative gay.
Because in one case, gay is the noun and in the other case, conservative is.
But I don't want to spend time on that.
But they really are.
And...
Again, here's a perfect example.
If you're gay, you're pretty darn lucky to live in America.
You should bless this country for its openness.
Not merely tolerance.
I mean, acceptance of you is...
Look, I'm against same-sex marriage, and here is a gay who says he agrees.
I don't even know if he agrees on that one, obviously.
I mean, but it doesn't, it shouldn't be an issue.
I have a religious reason.
I believe that God wants men and women to marry.
But, you know, my, as I've said on a number of occasions, my wife and I are godparents to a gay couple's children.
You certainly know my position, and I love this couple.
Yeah, because almost all the hate in the United States comes from the left.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And it shows you the effectiveness of the media, who are the instigators.
The media and academia are the biggest of the instigators.
Of the crisis that we are in, of anarchy, nihilism, America hatred.
By the way, I very, very rarely have mentioned this to you.
I wrote a book many years ago.
It's in its third edition, so it's been revised.
It's the only one of my books that has been revised.
Not because it was wrong, just because to add additional elements to it.
It's called Why the Jews and the Reason for Anti-Semitism, the greatest predictor of hatred.
And there is a serious chapter in there about the parallels between anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism.
And I am more and more convinced of it, that hatred of America is very similar to hatred of the Jews.
And in part, it is due to the fact that they both are successful.
I don't mean monetarily successful.
That's an element.
But they have made basically good family lives, stable societies.
They have succeeded professionally.
That is America.
America is a successful experiment with all its flaws.
And there are people who hate those who do well.
And there are other parallels as well, because America is based on Judeo-Christian values.
There's a hatred of those.
Anyway, the book is called Why the Jews.
I will return in a moment.

Everybody has to pay for it.

Hello.
Hi, Dan.
Can you hear me?
Yes, I do.
I just want to reinforce what you said.
I mean, there's two ways to deal with things, and that is either other people are causing their problems in the world or yourself.
And I have patients that come to me struggling.
Actually, it's good that they're coming to me for because they already believe that they need to be better themselves, but they live in a world that's telling them that the world is causing their problems.
I mean, I wrote a book about it.
What's your book?
It's called A Loop Girl.
It's called what?
A loose grip.
A loose grip?
A loose grip.
It's about having a loose grip on reality.
And if we continue to have a loose grip, we won't be able to resolve our problems in a focused way.
So you're a therapist?
Yes.
And would you agree with me, and obviously you know you don't have to, but do you agree with me that most therapists I do.
I didn't want to trash the whole industry of the field, but I agree that it caused a lot of problems.
By the way, are you talking into a phone or a speakerphone?
A phone.
You hear me?
It's a terrible connection.
No, I agree with you.
I think there's problems with the field of psychotherapy focusing too much on.
What the world's done to people, and I do the reverse of that.
Well, as I tell Dr. Marmer, your patients are lucky.
If you are in therapy, and after a certain period of time, I don't know, I make an arbitrary three months, and you're still blaming others for all of your issues, Then the odds are that your therapist is harming you and not helping you.
I'm not saying that others have not contributed to what...
I mean, obviously, if you were abused by a parent, that's an issue.
But you then have to figure out how do you deal with it.
That's you.
And so no matter what, even if there is something outside of you that is the primary reason for your unhappiness, you still have to work on your unhappiness.
That outside force is not going to help you.
Okay, everybody, now call in on any subject under the sun.

A call is going out now for the dismantling of the Minneapolis Police Department.
The president of the city council said this when asked about what to do in the case of a break-in.
Yes, I mean, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors.
And I know, and myself too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege because for those of us for whom the system is working, I think we need to step back and imagine what it would feel like to already live in that reality.

How can these people out there in the streets not know, according to the CDC, that police killings of blacks have dramatically declined over the last 45 years by almost 75%.
How can you not know that?
How can you not know of a peer-reviewed study in a publication put out by the National Association of Sciences in which every single police shooting in the year 2015 was examined?
And they could not find any evidence whatsoever of disproportionate deadly force used against blacks.
You're out in the streets making all these assertions.
What you're doing is making things worse.
You're creating an image of the police department that's going to make people not want to join it, and you're causing the so-called Ferguson effect that Rahm Emanuel talked about, where he said the police in Chicago have rolled themselves up into a fetal position for fear of being accused of being racist.

We've been told for at least six weeks now that the only way that we can come out of this in any semblance of getting back to normal is this V-shaped recovery.
We have this precipitous, voluntary, voluntary drop because, as you said, we literally shut down the most powerful economy in the world.
And as a result, what we need to see is a concordant and analogous, very, very steep recovery.
Don't the figures today indicate that that V-shaped recovery, you're the expert, Trish, that that V-shaped recovery is, in fact, possible?
Yeah.
I mean, I think that's the glimmer of hope.
right, that we have right now.
And let me tell you, if you can pull that off, Seb, you give people that economic security again, and wow, I mean, he will be applauded for that.
If you have the economic security and the physical security, because don't forget, like this is- We're dealing with right now, too.
You don't have that physical security.
If you can give those two things to people, I mean, I think that that really affects the middle-of-the-road voter.

That has to change, and it has to change tonight.

I'm often wrong.
Never in doubt, frequently wrong, as we say.

1-8 Prager 776-877-243-7776.

The damage being done to America may end up fatal.
That's why we have to fight, and it's as big a fight as with any external enemy.
There are people who loathe this country after 60 years of such education, and the combination of the media and academia have been disastrous.
It is just an astonishing thing that we have created a giant, educated class of fools.
Destructive fools.
And that's what we are now seeing.
They learned about how bad America is.
You have to learn it because if you actually live in America, you realize and you think about it, whoa!
Amazingly free country with massive opportunities.
For the vast majority of people of all colors.
You actually have to learn that America is bad.
Just as you, if you're white, you have to learn you're a racist.
You don't realize it.
This is an amazing thing.
It's the first time in history people were bad and were not in touch with their badness.
It's interesting.
In Germany, anti-Semites did not have to be convinced that they were anti-Semites.
Right?
Ku Klux Klanners did not have to be convinced that they were racist.
This is an amazing thing.
That's right.
You actually treat people of all colors fine.
But you don't realize it.
Nevertheless, you're a racist.
You have to go to college to write that crap.
That vile, destructive crap.
And you know who is hurt as much as anyone as blacks.
Because to be told that every white loathes you, and if you're racist, you obviously loathe the people against whom your racism is directed, right?
You don't love them.
A loving racist would seem to be an oxymoron.
So to communicate this drivel to Black America is to engender the following.
First of all, anger, which makes people terrifically unhappy and often compromises their moral system.
And makes you think you're a victim, which always means you'll be unhappy.
There is no happy victim on earth.
No happy person who thinks of themselves primarily as a victim.
Number three, it means that you will not, in fact, look into yourself for your issues.
So the only group in America that does not have to look into themselves for life's crises and unhappinesses are blacks.
It's so, the whole anti-racist hysteria.
is spectacularly anti-black in its consequences.
Another reason to load the left.
But it's okay.
The left is prepared to damage America and to damage blacks in order to gain power.
That is the only...
the only end...
People say they attack people for believing the end justifies the means, but very often ends do justify means.
Obviously, that's the reason that there's a just war.
It means that the end of winning a war against evil justifies killing.
I mean, so it's a silly cliche that so-and-so believes the ends justify the means.
But there are times when people have crappy ends and justify their means.
Sometimes the means are justified, sometimes they're not.
Sometimes the ends are justified, and sometimes they're not.
The left's ends are not justified, and their means are not justified.
And lying is almost never justified, and that is the essence here.
But the injury to black America is so substantial.
Be angry.
The only group in America that is told that people try to convince that they're hated and they should be angry.
If I were a black person, now you can say that's a silly comment because you're not.
The blacks in my life feel as I do, so some blacks at least do.
I would be very angry at the left.
That's where my anger would be directed.
At the condescending crap and the injurious crap that they have directed to me, to hurt me, to make me unhappy and angry.
A happy black American may vote Republican.
That's unacceptable.
And the end is left power.
Democrats have run all the big cities for half a century, and they blame...
That's part of it, too.
They are directly responsible for the chaos in the inner city.
Or at least responsible for doing nothing positive about it with all the funds at their disposal.
So they have to focus people's attention onto whites away from them.
And by the way, so you say, but what if you're a white leftist?
Ah, I'm a racist too.
So that somehow exonerates them.
Well, if you're a racist, how do we know you're actually...
Embarking on what is good for blacks?
If every white is a racist, and that includes white leftists, how do we know that what you're recommending and advocating is good for blacks?
You're a racist.
That'd be an awesome question to ask, but they don't take questions.

Your love for God and how you tie the struggles of our nation to the importance of prayer.
And that's really what's going to get us through these things.
Well, there's no guarantee.
You know, God has allowed the bad to prevail.
He gives people free will.
I would say, I think God is the answer.
In a different way, personally.
I think it is by implementing His will.
Like, if we simply lived by the Ten Commandments and made it clear that rights as the Declaration of Independence has come from God, then we'd have a chance.
I think that that's even more effective than prayer, but obviously I think prayer is important.
I just wanted to clarify my own position.
Go ahead.

We're still standing because we believe in the bonds that bring us together.
We believe in freedom and liberty.

Hi.
Mr. Prager, God bless you.
It's such an honor to talk to you.
I listened to you for...
It's a long time, and I'm a first-generation immigrant, sir.
I came to the United States in 1995, bought my business, didn't ask for anything.
I hired Americans, paid taxes, bought a house, raised my family here.
What happened to him?
I never met them, because it was before I was born.
They were, of course, taken to camps, and they were perished, never came back.
My grandma was in Iran.
I was raised in the Soviet Union.
I studied materialism and Marxism and all the basics.
And I can assure you, everything that I see, it's the déjà vu.
It's exactly what was happening.
They are using the very letter of the book.
And I want to tell you, the first thing that they're going to destroy is to demoralize the police, the law enforcement.
The very word police, if many listeners don't know, police is a Greek word, means city.
So they're destroying what our entire system, civilization, is built on, how it's organized.
My two sons...
Robert and Art are in United States Armed Forces.
My son is serving in Germany in Army.
My other son is in the airport here.
And the apple of my eye, my daughter Anna, she's a special prosecutor in Miami in a division of narcotics and human trafficking.
She just texted me that right now in Miami, the mob is trying to attack the courthouse and the intelligence is reporting them that they want to kill at least one officer.
Now, this is typical Bolshevik revolution.
Yes.
And if our administration that I 2,000% support, God forbid, show some weakness like Nicholas II did, we are going to go into abyss.
That's right.
We cannot.
We cannot get the victim of political correctness or a fear of losing an election or something.
And another thing I want to tell.
People got to rise up.
We cannot just talk constantly, remain silent and say everything will be fine, everything in God's hands.
No!
God entrusted us to be here at this time to do something.
We cannot depend on those coward generals.
They never won a single war.
And God forbid, if time...
It's necessary.
If they fake the cruel Siberian Russians or vicious Chinese, they cannot hide behind high tech.
Spirit is going to win the war.
That's right.
You are a kindred spirit.
I hope we meet one day.
I hope we win one day, too.
Yeah, this is essentially a Bolshevik revolution.
That is correct.
I never thought I would say that.
I've never used the term.
My dear friend and a man I have immense respect for, as you know, David Horowitz, the only person I believe knows the left better than I. He grew up a communist, literally.
And he has called them communists.
He said the left are communists.
And I never used that term.
I thought it was a little hyperbolic.
But he turned out to be right, and I was wrong.
Not liberals.
Liberals are wimps.
But because they don't fight evil.
Which if they fought evil, they'd fight the left.
Is it not obvious now, folks?
I mean, please, is it not obvious?
A war on police?
Are you out of your minds?
Morally and practically, do you understand how vile that is?
And it's not based on any data.
The police are not brutal against blacks in an imbalanced way, in a statistically imbalanced way.
That's the fact.
Study after study has shown this.
I'm not talking about blacks stopped in cars.
I simply don't know the data on that.
Even if it's true, it's unfortunate, but that's all it is.
It's unfortunate.
It's a nuisance.
Death is death and nuisance is nuisance.
And the people who will suffer most if there are no police are black.
Thank you.
The question is not whether black lives matter.
The question is whether all Black Lives Matter.
And for the left, and for the movement of that name, the answer is no.
Black lives matter if they're taken by whites.

Over the course of this pandemic, I've argued that churches should follow generally applicable shelter-in-place orders, that these orders and guidelines do not violate religious liberty, Indeed, we ought to comply with him out of love of neighbor.
But if policies single out churches and religious groups, it becomes an entirely different issue, an unconstitutional violation of religious liberty.
Over the course of the last several weeks, some government officials have crossed the line.

The judge said, quote, And it is beyond all reason unconstitutional.

Yes, that's correct, Dennis.

I do.
If you would permit me, just a very quick little sidebar.
I've been a long-time listener of you, and I'm a member of PragerTopia, and I download hundreds of your programs, and I listen to them in my car.
And since this is high school graduation time, I would like to tell you that one of my favorite clips that I listen to is your talk to high school seniors about feelings.
And it's just a great lecture, and I play that to just about any of the young people I can get to listen.
It's a wonderful portion of information, and I really thank you for it.
Good.
Thank you.
To get to my point very quickly, I live in a small community in southeast Washington, and we're kind of slaves to our governor, who is just a left-wing character.
Anyhow, when the COVID break started here, we closed down our hospital here in our community.
Hundreds of doctors and nurses and anesthesiologists were all out of a job.
Our hospital closed our dedicated 17 rooms to handle COVID patients.
And I know from an anesthesiologist friend of mine that the most it was ever used was two of those rooms.
And I'm 71 years old and I'm retired and I spend my time working for a friend here in our community.
And this morning we had one of our doctors come in and we spoke with him about the COVID thing.
And he related to us that while all the hospitals were closed, that there were two senior Yes, people don't know the relationship between dental care and overall health.
It's huge.
Yes, it is huge, and it's just a shame, and I'm sure that it's going to be something that we will never see in our newspapers.
It will never be on any news broadcast.
Well, let me tell you something.
The left has poisoned medicine and science as much as it has poisoned religion and art.
And the proof is the thousands of people in the medical community As it's now called, the healthcare community, who publicly signed a declaration in support of the mass protests after George Floyd's death and said that was okay.
It was a health benefit to demonstrate against racism.
But they had been resolute in their opposition to all other gatherings of people.
The sciences have been poisoned as much as everything else.
People are dying because of the left, and the country may be dying because of the left.
If you disagree, there are only two possibilities.
You are a leftist, and then you shouldn't disagree, because the country dying is actually positive in your view.
Or you are a naive liberal.
Which is almost redundant.
But for an adult to be that naive is inexcusable.
There was hysteria with regard to this virus.
It cost lives and misery.
People who couldn't have funerals.
No, you can't have a funeral.
You can't be with your loved one.
Who's dying?
They have to die alone.
The hysteria.
Secular life breeds hysteria.
It's interesting.
I mean, let's admit it.
Far more secular people have been hysterical than religious people.
Now the secular will say, oh, it's because you religious people think God will protect you.
There may be such religious people.
I am not one of them.
We just don't walk around in fear like you do.
That's all.
It has nothing to do with, oh, I'm immune.

I mean, the idea that they have low corporate...
Tax rates, low wealth tax.
I mean, you would never dream that in a country that people think of as socialist that that would be the case.
The basic idea is if we have a 50% tax rate and you make $60,000 a year, give us 30.
So in other words, they tax the middle class.

Hi.
Hello, sir.
Hello, Mr. Prager.
I'm sorry.
Thank you for taking my call, by the way.
I have a question for you, and I feel very strongly about this.
I was born and raised in Chicago.
My parents are immigrants from Iraq.
They're Christians who were persecuted.
They came to America.
They struggled.
They went to school, put themselves through school.
We're great role models for us.
I want to ask you a question.
How do you feel about the ban on the Confederate flag at NASCAR now?
NASCAR decided to get political.
So I want to see how you feel about it, because I'm very angry and upset about it, because I feel that it's part of the Southern culture.
And, I mean, quite honestly, it's like asking a Mexican person, you can't wave your flag in America.
You know, it's a diverse, you know, you're...
Proud of your heritage.
So, that's how I see it.
Okay, let me react.
I've given this a lot of thought.
So, let me explain my answer.
The Confederate flag represents the Confederate States of America.
The Confederate States of America had one cause, to sustain slavery.
At the time of the Civil War, and for some time after, the flag represented slavery.
So, the cause was evil, the flag represented evil.
So that's fact number one.
But that's not the only fact.
So the question is, what does it represent to the people who wave the flag today?
Does it represent a positive view of slavery?
I strongly doubt it.
So my question in life is, what does it represent now?
Let me give you a few examples.
People will say, well, how would a Jew react if somebody waved a Nazi flag?
The Nazi flag represented annihilation of Jews during the Nazi era, and That is what it represents today.
The swastika represents Jew hatred.
So there's no honest parallel.
The Confederate flag today is, hey, I'm a Southerner, and it's fun to be a Southerner, and, you know, that's my heritage.
Slavery is not my heritage.
I can't stand slavery.
But being a southerner is my heritage.
Swastika only represents Jew hatred.
It also represents hatred of others, but it's essentially Jew hatred.
So the parallel is dishonest.
I'll give you another parallel.
For much of Jewish history, the cross represented anti-Semitism.
It's a tragic fact of life.
But the cross today represents, in most cases, philo-Semitism, love of Jews.
So the cross, which represented for 1,500 years Jew hatred, that's how Jews looked at the cross for 1,500 years, and they had reason to.
But when I was on Vatican Radio in my 20s, or my 30s, I should say, Pope John Paul II was there, and I was invited to meet him.
And it's exactly what I said.
This pope has a chance to change the way Jews see the cross.
And he did, by the way.
And in America, I see the cross as a beautiful thing.
So the simpletons of the left do not acknowledge The truth of what I just said.
What I just said is not an opinion.
It's truth.
Symbols change in the course of time.
The Confederate flag no longer means what it meant.
Just as the cross to a Jew no longer means what it meant.
But what I just said is so much more sophisticated than 99% of the professors in America ever utter.
And I say that not as a boast, but as a lament.
This will go nowhere.
But if you actually care about truth, what I said is true.
Symbols can change their meaning.
And I live in the present.
And it doesn't mean what it did.
I'm not a fan of the flag.
I'm a fan of Southerners.
I'm not a fan of the flag.
But it doesn't mean, hey, slavery is great.
It did mean, hey, slavery is great when it was made.
We have a video, in fact, at PragerU showing that slavery was the reason for the Civil War.
Okay!
But it's just...
We live...
Okay.
Tony in Los Angeles.
Hello.
Hello?
Yes, sir.
Oh, hi.
I just have a rhetorical question for you, and that is, when is the left going to call out Mohammed for owning slaves?
And that's it.
That's my only question.
And the answer is never.
The villains of the world.
Our Americans.
Our white Americans.
Our Westerners.
What was done to black Africans by the Arab world, by the Muslim world, is not taught.

Who would have predicted that shows like mine are islands of honesty in an America bathing in lies and hatred emanating from the universities and the main media.
Hatred for a good country.
Years ago I wrote, you can see it on the internet, I have a thousand columns up on the internet.
One of the greatest libels in history is that America is a racist country.
It's the least racist multiracial country in the world.
All this is going to do is exacerbate relations.
Whites are told that they have to be so careful.
And measured in their statements to and with regard to blacks, that they will become unreal in many cases.
It's not that they will become less racist.
Most Americans are not racist.
It's that, for example, to say critical things about the Black Lives Matter movement, Which deserves to be criticized.
Not the idea, the movement.
It's like attacking communists doesn't mean you attack the idea of helping workers.
The concept of Black Lives Matter and the movement called Black Lives Matter have nothing to do with one another.
But I'm allowed to say that because I'm on talk radio.
Although I do believe if the Democrats win, they will do whatever they can to shut us down.
They wanted to do it in the past, but now I think they feel that they have a green light.

Two million.
I guess they didn't get the message that America is racist.

Why would people move?
