people don't know real pain in so many instances and then there really is pain like the people who lose their businesses under the protracted lockdown and you just don't hear anything about that but if somebody says something well I'll continue During an interview with Yahoo Finance on Wednesday,
Breeze reiterated his stance that he will, quote, never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America.
He later told ESPN that he stands with his teammates fighting for racial equality and justice, but also with the military, past and present.
The comments drew harsh criticism from a number of people, including his teammate Malcolm Jenkins.
Who said he was hurt by Breeze's comments and that they were extremely self-centered.
Why was he hurt?
You know, you see, it doesn't matter your color.
If you take a left-wing position, you don't merely differ.
You're hurt.
All conservative positions hurt.
Why doesn't it hurt the people Whose relatives died for that flag when somebody purposely chooses the time when the flag is honored not to stand?
Do you understand?
We're expected to lie.
We're expected to say 2 plus 2 equals 5. We are living, truly living, in 1984 by Orwell.
Of course it disrespects the flag because it was chosen not to stand When people were standing for the flag, you could say the person is right, you could say the person is wrong, but you can't lie that it disrespects the flag.
That was why it was chosen.
I won't stand for the flag.
This country is so scummy, so filled with hate of me because I'm black, that I won't even stand for the flag.
I have contempt for it.
That's what it means.
I mean, to deny that is to lie to yourself, which is an art form on the left.
In an Instagram post Thursday, Bree said he was apologizing to his friends, teammates, New Orleans, the black community, the NFL community, and quote, anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday.
Let's see who, so he, his friends?
He's apologizing to his friends.
He doesn't have very good friends.
His friends actually thought what he said was wrong and hurtful.
Interesting.
Teammates.
All the teammates thought that that was wrong.
New Orleans.
I apologize to the city of New Orleans.
The black community, because all blacks think alike.
Ask Joe Biden.
If you don't vote Democrat, you ain't black.
That's not hurtful.
Isn't that interesting?
It's hurtful to say that you shouldn't disrespect the flag.
That's hurtful.
But to say all blacks should vote in one way, otherwise they're not even black, that's not hurtful.
Hurtful means disagreed to or disagreed with by the left.
That's what hurtful means.
The NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday.
So who's not included?
Friends, teammates, New Orleans, the black community, the NFL community.
So someone living outside of New Orleans who isn't black and is not part of the NFL community.
Okay.
In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive.
Really.
It's not insensitive to kneel during the national anthem.
It's insensitive to say it's insensitive to kneel during the national anthem.
Do you understand what we have come to?
You can thank the New York Times.
Your colleges and high schools, the rest of the media.
That's the world in which we live today.
Up is down and down is up.
Good is bad and bad is good.
I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country.
They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy.
Wow.
He really had to grovel.
To say that it is wrong not to stand during the national anthem is to lack any compassion or empathy.
What if the flag were burned?
Let's say an NFL player came out and burned the flag.
I'd be very curious to know, would that be allowed if a black player did that, or for that matter, a white player in the name of Black Lives Matter burned the American flag at the opening of an NFL game?
Would we be allowed to condemn that?
Would an NFL player be allowed to condemn that?
I would say no.
