Dennis Prager Show - Democrat Judge Tells Business Owner She's 'Selfish,' ⎜The Dennis Prager Radio Show Aired: 2020-05-07 Duration: 08:09 === Decline Of American Logic (04:50) === [00:00:02] What is her name? [00:00:03] Shelly? [00:00:04] Is that her name? [00:00:05] Shelly Luther. [00:00:07] So she's raised $300,000 on a GoFundMe page. [00:00:12] I'm sure it's more by now. [00:00:14] I think it's a great thing. [00:00:16] I mean, if it weren't close to that, I'd be donating. [00:00:18] But, you know, I could do more by publicizing her than I can by sending in my money. [00:00:27] But I do. [00:00:28] I send in money to a lot of these things, obviously. [00:00:33] And I support that. [00:00:35] When we're on the show, I mean, I would be in line to get in there for a haircut. [00:00:46] The statement of the judge to her shows you the decline of American morality and logic. [00:00:56] Because of the left. [00:00:58] The judge said you're selfish for opening your salon. [00:01:05] And she said, I'm paraphrasing, no. [00:01:10] Why is it selfish to want to feed my children? [00:01:15] And keep my employees employed? [00:01:19] How could it be selfish to open up a salon? [00:01:24] It's selfish if you force people into your salon. [00:01:29] How could anything that's purely voluntary that you offer as a service, how is that selfish? [00:01:38] Will somebody explain to me the judge's thinking? [00:01:43] He's a Democrat, shockingly. [00:01:46] So I don't expect clear thought. [00:01:49] But this is an amazing statement to look at her and say you're selfish. [00:01:54] A man who has his full salary tells a woman who has no salary, you're selfish. [00:02:01] Do you understand the sick world of the left? [00:02:05] And they portray themselves as the people who care about workers and the little guy? [00:02:12] If you're a little guy and you vote Democrat, you're an idiot. [00:02:17] You are an idiot! [00:02:22] It's mind-boggling. [00:02:25] We're living in a make-believe world. [00:02:28] The judge's comment to this woman should go down in history. [00:02:34] How dare you open up your hair salon, you selfish thing. [00:02:43] I have my full salary, so I can say that to you. [00:02:49] It's the party of empathy, the Democrats. [00:02:52] They empathize with tyrants. [00:02:56] So they have now, the Secretary of Education in the United States has announced that there will be, what, due process on campuses if a man, a student, is accused of sexual assault, correct? [00:03:13] That they'll actually have fair hearings. [00:03:16] Joe Biden said the moment he's elected president, he will repeal it. [00:03:21] Why would a young man vote for Joe Biden? [00:03:27] Again, this is beyond belief. [00:03:32] Anyway, what he got away with here is mind-boggling. [00:03:35] Yes, indeed. [00:03:42] Indeed. [00:03:42] Okay. [00:03:46] There's a guy who tweets out, he's obsessed with me. [00:03:52] It's an amazing thing. [00:03:54] I find these people, they're bored. [00:03:59] They have an aimless life. [00:04:01] So there's a guy who puts clips of my show on his Twitter. [00:04:07] So there was a clip about my saying how wrong it would be if you could sue your employer if you got COVID-19. [00:04:17] And all the people... [00:04:19] Oh my God, this Prager, oh my God, is he evil? [00:04:25] It shows you not only the moral degradation, but the intellectual shallowness of these people. [00:04:34] Why would any business be able to operate if anybody who worked there and got the virus could then sue their employer? === The Greatest Mistake (03:31) === [00:04:42] What are you suing the employer about? [00:04:47] What is the employer supposed to do? [00:04:52] Speak to God? [00:04:52] I don't know what went wrong in the life of a person who becomes a leftist. [00:05:04] Thank you. [00:05:04] Thank you. [00:05:06] I don't know. [00:05:07] At what point, like the people, because I have my article up this week, it's probably the greatest mistake in history. [00:05:18] And there's still reactions. [00:05:20] Oh, really? [00:05:22] The Holocaust is not a bigger mistake? [00:05:25] Do you understand the shallowness of these people's responses? [00:05:30] Or slavery was not a bigger mistake? [00:05:34] Slavery was not a mistake? [00:05:36] Holocaust was not a mistake? [00:05:38] They were evils. [00:05:40] You don't know the difference between mistake and evil? [00:05:45] They don't. [00:05:49] I learned how shallow the intellectual world was when I was in graduate school. [00:05:55] My whole life I have known this. [00:05:57] Read Intellectuals by Paul Johnson. [00:05:59] You get an idea. [00:06:02] And intellectuals and another giant group in Hollywood. [00:06:07] 200 celebrities and scientists, including Madonna and Robert De Niro. [00:06:13] Calling for the world not to return to normal over COVID-19 lockdowns and stop the pursuit of consumerism. [00:06:22] Will they give up their homes, Madonna and De Niro? [00:06:28] Will they give up their private chefs? [00:06:31] This is like the judge who has the job telling the woman who has no income, you're selfish. [00:06:36] I'm telling you, it's a battle. . [00:06:45] It is a battle. [00:06:46] It's a civil war. [00:06:49] One side's really bad. [00:06:51] Really, really, really bad. [00:06:53] And not particularly bright. [00:06:55] But of course, that's the beauty. [00:06:57] They have some Nobel Prize winners, which is what I told you. [00:07:00] The relationship between intelligence and wisdom is a zero. [00:07:05] Big, fat zero. [00:07:08] Some have it, some don't. [00:07:12] These are people who have this utopian dream that communists have. [00:07:18] We will have a world where people will write poetry all day. [00:07:22] What is wrong with making money and being productive? [00:07:25] They hate the word productivity. [00:07:26] That's one of the things they condemn. [00:07:28] We can no longer measure things by productivity. [00:07:31] Anyway, this is a dress rehearsal for closing down the world for global warming. [00:07:36] I told you that in the beginning. [00:07:39] If you can order people to stop working, Because of a virus that kills tens of thousands, maybe a hundred thousand, how much more so will you be able to close down society for something that is an existential threat, which they claim global warming is? [00:07:58] They're saying so. [00:08:01] They're flying in their jets to conferences to enforce that. [00:08:08] Okay, we continue.
