Dennis Prager Show - Disobey Foolish Orders!⎜The Dennis Prager Radio Show Aired: 2020-05-02 Duration: 07:39 === One Country Follows Science (07:24) === [00:00:00] It is a moral good and it is an emotional catharsis to disobey fools. [00:00:09] Okay? [00:00:10] And fools who think they have power. [00:00:13] They don't have that power over you. [00:00:15] Let us all get arrested. [00:00:17] Anyway, how are they going to arrest you? [00:00:20] We should fill the highways with cars. [00:00:23] Then they'll get the message. [00:00:24] These people aren't strong. [00:00:26] They are weaklings with power. [00:00:29] Once they see the tide of public opinion is against them, they will stop. [00:00:33] It's as simple as that. [00:00:37] Can't believe one country on Earth had the courage to follow science. [00:00:42] That's the joke. [00:00:43] We followed scientists. [00:00:46] Sweden followed science. [00:00:50] The correlation between scientists and science? [00:00:54] It's sort of like the correlation between... [00:00:58] I've got to think of an analogy. [00:01:00] I'll come up with one. [00:01:03] Let us just say the correlation is tenuous. [00:01:09] Scientists are, unfortunately, as non-committed to science and committed to philosophy and politics and emotion as every other group of people. [00:01:24] I trust science, but I do not trust scientists. [00:01:28] Big difference. [00:01:29] I don't worship them. [00:01:31] Some are terrific. [00:01:33] Most are just like the rest of humanity. [00:01:36] Mediocre. [00:01:39] All righty, everybody. [00:01:41] Whatever is on your mind. [00:01:42] Yes, indeed. [00:01:43] So I announced. [00:01:45] What happened? [00:01:45] I kept the guy from L.A. who didn't agree with me. [00:01:48] Why did he go away? [00:01:50] I even announced I'm going to take your call. [00:01:54] Some guy in LA who believes we should sit at home. [00:02:00] I'd love to have taken that call. [00:02:03] Yes, I wish the whole country would hear this show. [00:02:09] Just one week, the whole country could hear this show. [00:02:15] Because all they hear is, be afraid, be afraid, be afraid. [00:02:21] There's more propaganda today, not more. [00:02:24] There's almost as much, be precise, as I saw in the Soviet Union when I went there. [00:02:31] Like the signs on the California highways. [00:02:35] Stay home. [00:02:37] Save a life. [00:02:39] Wow. [00:02:41] Stay home. [00:02:43] Ruin a country. [00:02:44] Stay home. [00:02:46] Make sure your neighbor has to go on a breadline for food for the first time since the Depression. [00:02:54] Not going to see those on the California signs, will you? [00:02:59] That indeed. [00:03:00] Who is it? [00:03:00] The governor of Illinois? [00:03:03] Flying with their family to Florida. [00:03:06] These people are precious. [00:03:09] Just precious. [00:03:13] Okay, everybody. [00:03:14] So I read, I don't know where, I read so much and I don't save everything. [00:03:20] I should have saved that one. [00:03:22] It was a listing of the state's compliance. [00:03:27] They were rated for compliance with dictatorship. [00:03:32] And the only state to get an F, a lot got a D. Some got A's and B's. [00:03:41] The only state to get an F was South Carolina. [00:03:46] Can't tell you how much I admire the people of South Carolina. [00:03:52] Yes, indeed. [00:03:54] You know, I have said for decades, the North saved the Union in the 19th century, the South will save it in the 21st. [00:04:04] How ironic that the state that began the Civil War, they was the first to secede South Carolina. [00:04:11] He's now the first in liberty. [00:04:14] The world changes. [00:04:15] So, sure enough, Nathan in Greenville, South Carolina, congratulations to you for being the least sheep-like state in the country. [00:04:27] Absolutely. [00:04:29] I love our state. [00:04:30] I wasn't born here, but I got here as quick as I could. [00:04:33] Yes, indeed. [00:04:35] Yeah, so what I wanted to say is that our state... [00:04:40] Okay, I have not done one... [00:04:43] Sorry, breaking up. [00:04:47] Except for... [00:04:48] Wait, wait, wait, it broke up. [00:04:49] You said, I haven't done one, and then I didn't hear you. [00:04:55] Hmm, we have problems. [00:04:57] Okay. [00:05:00] Bet she's not using Pure Talk. [00:05:03] Alrighty, everybody. [00:05:05] Schenectady, New York. [00:05:06] I know Schenectady, my beloved, dear uncle. [00:05:10] Murray Prager had a ladies clothing store in Schenectady. [00:05:14] Hi, John. [00:05:15] Hi, Dennis. [00:05:17] I just wanted to tell you what an honor it is to speak to you finally. [00:05:21] Thank you. [00:05:22] I've been a long-time listener, and I think you have a prophetic voice, not only in the country, but for everyone who listens to you. [00:05:32] Thank you. [00:05:33] You've been gifted by God, and I greatly appreciate. [00:05:36] The gift that you've presented us. [00:05:39] Thank you again. [00:05:41] I just also wanted to let you know that, and I have a question to follow up with that. [00:05:47] I've been reading your Bible, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it, the Rational Bible. [00:05:52] I finished up Genesis, and I'm halfway through Exodus, and I was just wondering if you plan to write... [00:06:00] On more of the books of the Bible. [00:06:02] Yeah, I'm doing the first five books. [00:06:05] Deuteronomy, the fifth one. [00:06:06] It's coming out in order. [00:06:07] It's going 2-1-5-4-3. [00:06:11] Two Exodus, it's the second volume of the Bible. [00:06:14] It's Exodus, then I did Genesis. [00:06:16] Now I'm doing the fifth, Deuteronomy. [00:06:18] And then I'm doing Numbers, and then Leviticus. [00:06:21] That's the five books of the Torah, which is the basis of Judaism and Christianity, and of the Western world. [00:06:27] And so one of the only silver linings in this is that I'm really making progress on the next volume, which will be out next year. [00:06:39] That's wonderful. [00:06:40] I'm so happy to hear that. [00:06:42] Do you plan to do any more of the Bible? [00:06:44] No. [00:06:45] I'll tell you, the next thing I'm doing after that is my autobiography. [00:06:51] I am aching to write that because... [00:06:54] How I came to all of these insights is what the autobiography will be about. [00:07:00] And very open about my life, too, as well. [00:07:04] I certainly hope that I will have the same mental and physical acuity that I have now. === No Guarantees (00:28) === [00:07:16] Looking at my parents, I have reason to believe that I will. [00:07:22] But there are no guarantees in life. [00:07:25] The only guarantee in life, aside from death and taxes, the only guarantee is that there are no guarantees. [00:07:33] That's a guarantee. [00:07:36] That's why I don't want you to sit in your house all day.
