You know, the good people are divided among fighters, those who help the fighters, and those who do nothing.
The third group is the largest.
The first group is the smallest.
But helping the people who fight is good.
Just as important.
And that group is the Alliance Defending Freedom.
And Tyson Langhofer, whom I've had on the senior council there.
Where are you quarantined?
Well, Dennis, I'm in Kansas right now.
I'm normally in D.C., but I had to fly to Kansas for an emergency hearing, so I'm actually at my mom's house here in Kansas.
How many people were on the airplane?
There were probably about 15 out of Dolas.
There was a few more out of Atlanta, maybe 20. How do they fly planes with 15 people?
That's a good question.
I was wondering the same thing.
Wow.
Do the flight attendants wear masks?
I do not believe the flight attendants wore masks.
I don't think they should.
I'm just curious.
No, I don't believe they did.
They don't do in-flight service.
They would just hand out a drink and a snack in a plastic bag to each individual before the flight takes off, and then they just sat the rest of the time.
Oh, I see.
Okay, so they really don't interact with you.
Did they take your temperature?
They did not do that, no.
What was the hearing about?
Well, I am involved with, we received a temporary restraining order against the Kansas governor for enforcing a ban against churches meeting here in Kansas that she did not enforce on the 26 other exempt categories of businesses that are considered we received a temporary restraining order against the Kansas governor for I'm not quite clear.
She enforced the law against churches, but I thought churches do not fall under the essential category.
Well, she...
Her executive order originally listed churches as, and actually still does, listed churches as essential activities.
Then she imposed a mass gatherings ban against groups of more than 10 people in Kansas, and then specifically said that this applies to religious activities of more than 10 people.
And then after that included 26 exemptions, very, very large exemptions, including retail establishments and manufacturing, processing plants and office buildings.
So if you wanted to meet in an office building and have a substantial number of people there to talk about real estate and you had more than six feet in between each one of those, you could do that.
But if you went to that same office building with 11 people and wanted to have a Bible study, you could not.
Is the governor of Kansas a Democrat or Republican?
Democrat.
It's so bizarre to me because it's so obvious she picked on one group.
Well, there's no doubt, and that's exactly what the Constitution says you cannot do.
When you apply a law, a law is not neutral and generally applicable if you have a system of exemptions.
And when you have 26 exemptions and then you specifically target churches, and we're talking about churches, these are two rural communities, Dodge City and Junction City.
They have very small congregations, and they had already imposed very, very rigorous social distancing requirements, much more rigorous than what were imposed on businesses, and they were doing streaming for those that didn't want to attend, but simply wanted to provide an opportunity for those that wanted to attend to engage in worship service.
I'm looking up now.
I wanted to see here the number of deaths in...
In Junction City.
Is that the name of the city?
It is.
Junction City, correct.
Yeah, so do you know what county it's in in Kansas?
Geary.
Geary.
G-E-A-R-Y. Okay, so the number of deaths.
Take a guess.
I'm asking you, Tyson.
Take a guess.
How many deaths in Geary County?
I don't know if there are any.
I know that there's a small number of cases.
I'm not sure if there are any deaths.
I don't think that there are, but I couldn't be wrong.
So your guess is zero, and you're right.
Zero.
There are more deaths, I presume, in Geary County this year from snakebites.
Well, yeah, I don't know that, but...
Well, if there's one, then it's more.
So let me understand, is this one of the cases where even people meeting in cars in the church parking lot were banned?
No.
No, this is different.
This is a mass gatherings ban for enclosed spaces, so they can meet outside.
I see.
Okay.
All right.
Hold on if you would.
ADF. Is there a banner on my website?
Because they're a terrific group.
Alliance Defending Freedom.
RF. That's the product, my friends.
I don't want you to have enough pain at this time.
You shouldn't have gratuitous pain in your joints or muscles.
