Dennis Prager Show - Coronavirus: Hysteria or Deadly? Aired: 2020-02-04 Duration: 02:56 === 24 Hours of Coronavirus (02:56) === [00:00:00] Take it away, Michael Fermento. [00:00:01] You know who's actually worse? [00:00:04] The worst is CNN. I call them the Corona News Network. [00:00:12] It's basically 24 hours of coronavirus. [00:00:16] They even have a man there in Wuhan who does his TV broadcast with a mask over his face. [00:00:28] TV! I hear you. [00:00:31] Who are they going to get the virus from? [00:00:33] The cameraman? [00:00:35] The camera? [00:00:38] You know, it's obviously, when I saw that, I said, I've got to write this article. [00:00:42] It's drama. [00:00:43] That's all this is entirely about, really, is drama. [00:00:47] I mean, I don't mean to downplay the people who have actually been infected and the people who have actually died, but this is heterofficial AIDS all over again. [00:00:58] This is SARS all over again. [00:01:00] This is Ebola 1 and Ebola 2. I knocked this article out in just a few hours time because it's still in the blanks. [00:01:09] And the editors barely edited it because, you know, they trusted me. [00:01:14] The article that, let me just tell everybody, the article is in the New York Post and is up at DennisPrager.com. [00:01:20] Go ahead. [00:01:21] Yeah, so it was just fill in the blanks. [00:01:24] We've been here over and over and over again. [00:01:28] There's nothing really special about this virus except for one thing, and this is what drives all the hysteria. [00:01:36] It's new. [00:01:37] That's it. [00:01:38] It is new. [00:01:39] But is it more infectious than the flu? [00:01:43] We have no reason to think it's more infectious than the flu. [00:01:46] Is it more deadly than the flu? [00:01:48] We have no reason to think that either. [00:01:50] We do know it kills the same categories of people as the flu. [00:01:57] That is, The elderly, people who are immunocompromised because they've had transplants or something like that, and people with pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, exactly like the flu. [00:02:13] This really, from everything we can tell, is like a mini-flu because the real flu kills as many as hundreds of thousands of people each and every year. [00:02:27] But people don't panic about the flu because we've had the flu forever and the coronavirus is new. [00:02:35] Okay, we'll be back with Michael Fomento if you have a question about the coronavirus. [00:02:42] It is interesting. [00:02:43] I had no idea that he would isolate CNN. CNN is so compromised. [00:02:50] I don't know who takes it seriously. [00:02:54] And I wish it were not the case.
