| As I understand it, the House of Representatives presents to the Senate its reasons for impeachment. | |
| Then there is a trial on the basis of what has been submitted by the House of Representatives, and then the Senate decides whether to remove the President from office. | |

| All along the Democrats knew that he would not be removed from office. | |
