[00:00:00]  I played for you the President's announcement of a peace plan for the Middle East.
[00:00:07]  He noted, and this is significant, both Benjamin Netanyahu and his opposition have signed on to the plan.
[00:00:17]  So this is not a, quote, right-wing Israeli plan.
[00:00:21]  This is an Israeli and hopefully Palestinian plan.
[00:00:27]  I don't think the Palestinians have always rejected every offer, even the one that Bill Clinton signed with Yasser Arafat.
[00:00:35]  And he blamed Arafat for blowing it up.
[00:00:39]  By the way, you will probably see some terrorism against Israelis in the near future.
[00:00:46]  Whenever there is a peace plan, there's terrorism.
[00:00:49]  People don't care about truth.
[00:00:53]  As a general rule, People want to believe what they want to believe.
[00:00:57]  It's too painful to really think that most Palestinians don't want peace with Israel.
[00:01:03]  They want peace without Israel.
[00:01:06]  See, that's what people don't understand.
[00:01:08]  Do Palestinians want peace?
[00:01:09]  Yes.
[00:01:10]  Do you want peace with Israel?
[00:01:11]  No.
[00:01:14]  I spoke at Stanford many years ago.
[00:01:16]  I'll never forget.
[00:01:17]  I spoke at a pro-Israel rally.
[00:01:20]  And there was an anti-Israel rally close by.
[00:01:24]  So a woman came over to me, told me how wrong I was, and that's fine.
[00:01:29]  Somehow I can deal with that.
[00:01:32]  So I said to her, go over there, because it was mostly Palestinian and Muslim students, and this was a white American woman.
[00:01:43]  I said, ask them if they want peace with a Jewish state of Israel.
[00:01:52]  She said, they want peace.
[00:01:53]  I said, okay, just ask them, do you want peace with the Jewish state of Israel?
[00:01:57]  Do you recognize that there would be a Jewish state?
[00:02:02]  So she came back about a half hour later.
[00:02:05]  I said, well, what did they say?
[00:02:06]  She said, they said, what do you mean?
[00:02:09]  I said, that's my point, ma'am.
[00:02:13]  That's exactly right.
[00:02:14]  They won't answer yes.
[00:02:19]  So I assume that they will reject this as well.
[00:02:23]  Israel's existence is an insult in their eyes.
[00:02:29]  Better to be poor, better to not have complete liberty, better to languish and have refugee camps than have a Jewish state to live alongside of.

[00:03:08]  And that's the Middle East problem in a nutshell.
[00:03:12]  The Israelis do not want the Palestinians dead.
[00:03:16]  The Palestinians would like the Israelis dead, or certainly Israel dead.
[00:03:23]  If you deny that, it's either because you don't care about truth, or you went to graduate school.
[00:03:36]  Those are the only two possibilities.
[00:03:40]  So anyway, that's what will happen there.
