| Hi, this is Dennis Prager, and this is what you missed yesterday on the show. | |
| People don't know, and I'd like you to expand on this for a moment, it's always said, but I am sure 90% of Americans don't know what this means when we speak about their theft of intellectual property. | |
| I think that's unbelievably important to explain it. | |
| Okay. | |
| For decades now, again, we had this unfettered engagement policy, which, by the way, led to the loss of all the secrets on our nuclear warheads, multiple warhead technology. | |
| But from our current period, the amount of intellectual property and technology theft, and this was outlined in a White House report last year, is a staggering sum. | |
| They estimate that between $250 billion annually and $600 billion annually in American technology and intellectual property is being stolen by China. | |
| And no nation can survive when the basis of your economy is so heavily oriented towards China. | |
| How do they steal it? | |
| Through a combination of illicit and licit means, buying up companies. | |
| Just this week, I wrote a story for the Free Beacon on the arrest of a Chinese national who's part of what's known as the Thousand Talents program. | |
| They were doing visa fraud, and they were basically bringing in Chinese officials who were coming in ostensibly to do research at universities like MIT and others. | |
| And in fact, they were recruiting Asian Americans and others to go back to China and basically build up the Chinese military and civilians. | |
| If you're a PragerTopia member, you can listen to the complete segment along with every show every day and commercial-free. | |
| You'll never miss another show. |
