Why Classical Music Moves Me
00:01:53
|
|
| Hi, this is Dennis Prager, and this is what you missed yesterday on the show. | |
| I am touched by God the most when I study the Bible. | |
| As I always say to people, it moves me more than prayer, and I have nothing against prayer, obviously, because prayer is what I say, but the Bible, specifically the first five books, is what God says. | |
| So I'm touched. | |
| I really am touched. | |
| I have an emotional... | |
| It's like classical music. | |
| My reaction to the Torah, specifically, is like my reaction to classical music. | |
| Why do I prefer classical music to popular music? | |
| And I like a lot of popular music. | |
| Is that it touches my brain as well as my heart. | |
| They both need to be touched. | |
| A woman would be similar. | |
| I have to be touched by her mind and by her beauty and sensuality and all these other things. | |
| But this resonates with you. | |
| I know you well. | |
| Because you are deeply into the mind in the best sense. | |
| So I just want you to know that God is available to those who are not mystically inclined. | |
| Like you and like me. | |
| So, I just thought... | |
| Well, you know, I have to... | |
| I mean, I have a great respect for the Bible. | |
| You can't be a bestseller for 2,000, whatever, 2,500 years if there's no wisdom there. | |
| And I think it's possible that my issue here is having been burned. | |
| So badly by the Church of Marxism. | |
