Dave Smith analyzes the final Trump-Biden debate as a pivotal moment, framing Trump's presidency as a "parting gift" that exposed the corporate press and deep state. He details the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, citing Rudy Giuliani's handover of evidence to law enforcement and dismissing Russian disinformation claims while criticizing social media censorship. Smith argues that removing Trump won't fix establishment corruption, predicting continued extreme populism, and challenges libertarians to propose alternatives to state intervention regarding tech bias rather than accepting corporate censorship. The best thing to ever happen to you.
All right, let's start the show.
We need to roll back the state.
We spy on all of our own citizens.
Our prisons are flooded with nonviolent drug offenders.
If you want to know who America's next enemy is, look at who we're funding right now.
Every single one of these problems are a result of government being way too big.
You're listening to part of the problem on the Gas Digital Network.
Here's your host, Dave Smith.
What's up, everybody?
Welcome to a brand new episode of Part of the Problem.
I, of course, am Dave Smith.
If you've been listening to this show regularly, you probably already knew that.
Robbie the Fire Bernstein is out today, but he will, it's not the war with Optimum.
It's not the COVID or the AIDS.
He's just busy.
But he'll be back on Friday and we'll do a debate recap episode.
But it's just me today.
I'm going to rant to you fine people about a few things that are on my mind.
And then, you know, tomorrow is the presidential debate, the final presidential debate, and what will probably be a very consequential presidential debate.
I almost hate like the cliches of, you know, this is such an important election or this is such a crazy year and all this stuff.
But it's, if you're commenting on 2020, it's like it's kind of impossible to avoid them altogether.
And this debate, I just, there's never been a presidential debate like it.
I've never seen anything like this, where the race is so up in the air.
There's so many different variables.
They've only debated twice.
And this, and one of the candidates, Joe Biden, is like just not talking to the press or doing anything.
He hasn't been campaigning, basically.
And it's kind of all coming down to this last debate.
And then there's other stuff involving this, you know, we're going to get into more about the Hunter Biden hard drive and the fact that most of the media is not covering this.
And so the only chance to really get it out in front of people is for Trump to do it at the debate tomorrow.
And I've just never seen anything like this.
It like all comes down to this.
It's going to be really fucking interesting, really interesting to watch.
So anyway, there's several things that are on my mind that I want to talk about today.
And some of it is very related to stuff that I talked about on the last episode, but there's some updates to it.
So forgive me if, you know, some of it's a little bit repetitive from the last episode, but there's new stuff in here too.
And I just think it's that important to talk about.
So, one of the things that's been on my mind as I kind of realize that it all comes down to tomorrow night, you know, in so many ways, one of the things that's just starting to dawn on me that might be dawning on a lot of you guys too is that it is possible that Trump's going to lose.
It's, you know, it's like almost a toss-up right now.
And like, I still stand by what I've been saying, gun to the head.
If I had to place a bet, I bet on Trump getting reelected.
But no gun to the head, I wouldn't bet on it.
I wouldn't bet on either.
It's just, it's that close.
There's too many variables, too many X factors.
So it's possible that Trump loses.
And this whole, this, this little chapter in American history is over.
The Trump moment.
And that just kind of, you know, it makes you think, I mean, this was wild.
This was wild.
Donald fucking Trump was the president of the United States of America for four years.
And four years later, it still feels just as crazy saying that as it did after he won in 2016.
It's just been a wild moment.
And Donald Trump, you know, I'm not, I don't like Trump.
I'm not a supporter.
I didn't vote for him in 2016.
I will not vote for him in 2020.
And I've been accused by some people of being too kind to him.
Or, you know, people will say that like, well, you know, you say that you, you know, you dislike him for these reasons, but if you, if you listen to your show, you're usually sticking up for him more than you're criticizing him or something like that.
And, you know, and then I also get accused of like disclaiming everything with, and by the way, I don't support the guy.
But the truth is I don't.
I don't support him.
And I'm not, I didn't vote for him and I won't vote for him.
And it's for obvious reasons.
Like I just, I will not vote for somebody who has cont the wars and not only continued, but accelerated the debt crisis.
Cause I think these things are really fucking big deals.
And I like, I think, I basically think this country is on a suicide mission.
And these are the things, the major drivers of it.
So if you're not even, you know, going in the right direction in those things, and I suppose on the war front, you could argue that like he didn't add, he didn't get us into a new war, but he also didn't end any of the stupid wars.
So he's still going in the same direction on those things.
And on the debt issue, he's actually, you know, pushed down on the accelerator.
We're going way, way further under Trump than even under Obama, which is, you know, hard to imagine.
So I'm not going to support the guy.
And I don't say that as a disclaimer.
I say that to let you know how I feel about the situation.
But if you're a libertarian or just anybody really who hates the state, you got to appreciate the moment and appreciate how like the gifts that Donald Trump has given us.
And those are not small things.
Donald Trump has exposed the insanity of the corporate press more effectively than anybody, anybody in my lifetime, that's for sure.
And that's not to say that there isn't somebody out there who does a really good job of exposing the corporate press.
Like I think I'm pretty good at it, but I haven't exposed it to fucking, you know, tens of millions of Americans and Donald Trump has.
And that's a really big deal.
And I think that part of the reason why I'm so harsh on Donald Trump's critics and not like the principal critics, I'm amongst them.
But the reason why I'm so harsh on the corporate press and, you know, like, I don't know, Comey and Brennan and Clapper and Obama and all these people, you know, Trump's like establishment critics is because I hate them.
I hate all of them.
And like 99% of the things that they complain about, you know, with regard to Trump is all bullshit.
And they hit him the hardest for the good things that he does.
Like, you know, these are the people who will criticize him when he talks about ending a war and they'll cheer him on if he continues one.
And a lot of it comes down to that.
And this is like a weird thing.
Trump has exposed everybody.
He's exposed like there's something about him.
He's he's such a triggering force that he exposed a divide amongst right-wingers or Republicans and conservatives, that whole crowd.
You know, it's you got a whole bunch of fucking neocons who now are going to vote for Joe Biden, who probably voted for Hillary Clinton.
Okay, maybe you don't consider them right-wingers, but Republicans, whatever.
He's triggered this reaction amongst the left, where there were like Bernie Sanders supporters who ended up supporting Donald Trump.
And then there's like, you know, the people who think he's literally Hitler.
And of course, in like the press and all of that stuff, he's, you know, provoked a reaction out of them that no one else that I've ever seen has even come close to.
And he's also exposed, you know, or provoked a divide amongst libertarians.
There's a lot of libertarians out there who just hate Donald Trump's guts.
And there's a lot of them, you know, who hate Rand Paul for supporting Donald Trump, or they, you know, they hate the libertarians who have supported him at all.
And that's, you know, that's also interesting.
And I don't, you know, from my perspective, I don't, I have no problem with you hating Donald Trump.
I just really hate the CIA also, you know, like I really hate the state.
It all comes back to the Murray Rothbard shit, as it, as it almost always does, at least with me.
It's like, do you hate the state?
That's what Rothbard said.
The most important question was, do you hate the state?
It's not even whether you're a libertarian.
It's certainly not whether you're an anarchist or a minarchist or any of that shit.
It's do you hate the state?
You know, I debated that guy, that Dork Andy Craig on the Lions of Liberty podcast a couple months ago or whenever it was.
If you haven't watched it, you can go watch it.
It's up on YouTube.
It was quite a shit show.
But one of the things he accused me of, or not even accused me of, I don't know, but he said something that some of my critics, the few of my critics in the Libertarian Party often say.
And he said, you have to decide, do you hate the left or are you a libertarian?
Or something like that.
Like, do you hate the left or do you hate the state?
And to me, I never felt like you had to, like, I don't think that's, I think that's a false choice.
I don't, you can hate the left.
You can hate the right.
I don't have a problem with any of that.
And oftentimes I do.
But I really fucking hate the state.
And I think anybody who listens to the show knows that that's true.
I mean, I don't deny hating the left, or at least they're, you know, parts of the left.
I certainly do.
There's things on the left that I really hate, but no, nowhere near as much as I hate the state.
And I think that's, you know, like I might, I might get pissed off about some, you know, social justice warrior or something like that.
But if you hear me talk about, say, like, you know, John McCain or John Brennan or something like that, you're definitely going to hear a lot more hatred out of me.
All right, guys, let's take a quick second.
I want to thank our sponsor for today's show, a brand new sponsor.
It's a podcast that I think you guys need to hear.
It's called A Neighbor's Choice, hosted by David Gornowski.
David's show has been described as an apocalyptic Mr. Rogers for adults.
David doesn't tell you what to think, he tells you how to think.
David exposes politics by tracing its roots back to mythology and ritual.
Every show provides the missing link between today's fake news and ancient myths.
It's a really fascinating show.
I love it.
I've listened to several episodes.
I think you guys will really dig it.
David's show is a secret weapon in your back pocket that makes sense of the daily gaslighting of the corporate press in the name of its victims.
David highlights how politics is just scapegoating through his own observations and those of his guests, like Liberty Movement favorites Ron Paul, Detective John Beza, Peter Schiff, Jeff Dice, the Mises Institute.
He also does deep dives with cultural figures like Jordan Peterson and Scott Adams.
David dismantles fake news and offers a future that unleashes technology for the betterment of the human person.
David also regularly features call-in interviews with prisoners serving life sentences for nonviolent crimes, shedding light into life inside.
Plus, each week you'll hear solutions from scientists on the front lines of market innovations and nuclear fusion and researching challenging status quo medicines.
From newsmakers to innovators, David brings his neighbors on a mind-blowing journey.

That's G-O-R-N-O-S-K-I.
Check out the show.
I really think you guys are going to enjoy it.
All right, let's get back on the show.
So, like, I don't care whether you hate the left or hate the right.
The only thing that matters is, as Rothbard asked, do you hate the state?
And if the answer is yes, then you're in pretty good standing as far as I'm concerned.
And that's kind of what's interesting about this whole, you know, situation that the country finds itself in and that libertarians find themselves in.
Like, I, you know, you could argue, I'm sure, and I'm sure some people would, that I hate the left more than I hate the right.
I don't know.
I don't actually know if that's true.
It really depends on what they're doing.
And in general, I don't really hate regular people in America, whether they're left or right.
I don't, I don't, in general, don't really hate any of them.
I think sometimes they're stupid or sometimes they support some really evil shit.
But truthfully speaking, you know, like you could, you could argue, right, that like I've demonstrated more hatred for like critical race theory or social justice warriors than I have for like the alt-right.
You know, and that's fair.
I have for sure.
But I think it's appropriate given how much influence and power they respectively have over the country, right?
The Biden Laptop Scandal00:12:09
So like I think that my attitude like toward the alt-right or something like that, just for example.
So my attitude toward, you know, Richard Spencer, somebody like that is, yeah, I'm not as furious at him as I am over, you know, social justice warriors or something like that.
But to me, it's kind of like, well, I don't know.
I mean, Richard Spencer has like no control over the direction of the country.
I don't think like the alt-right or, you know, people like that do at all.
Whereas like, you know, critical race theory has like infiltrated like almost every university.
They're dominant in academia.
They're dominant in corporate America.
They're dominant in Hollywood, in politics.
I mean, so, you know, I think it's appropriate to be more disgusted at them.
Likewise, you know, like you're not going to, you're never going to listen to this show and see a lot of, I don't know, you're not going to see a lot of emotion out of me in regards to like black nationalists or like what's the fucking group?
The black Israelites.
Okay.
Like, when have you ever heard me on the show really furious about the black Israelites?
Like, who the fuck cares?
I don't know.
They have no power or influence.
I don't know.
I mean, I'm sure if we went through all of their views, I'd find a bunch of them like stupid and abhorrent and all of that shit.
But who cares?
They don't feel, they're not like, they're not exercising power over anybody.
But if our fucking children are being propagandized with, you know, black Israelite shit and they, and they controlled every fucking, you know, corporation and the fucking military and, you know, whatever, the JP Morgan was, you know, sending their execs to black Israelite, you know, re-education camps and fucking, you know, whatever.
I'd probably be pretty furious about them.
And same with the alt-right if they had that type of fucking, you know, influence.
So so that's like, to me, what makes sense is that if you're a libertarian, right?
And this is like what drives me crazy about some brand of like left libertarians, like that guy, Andy Craig, who I debated.
And okay, I don't know if he identifies as a left libertarian, but you know, he called me some things I don't identify as.
And he, I'm being a lot more accurate.
So anyway, but like you, so you could hate whoever you want to, but what drives me crazy about that strand of libertarians is when they're like, they have more hatred for Richard Spencer than they do for John McCain.
Like that to me is fucking crazy.
It makes absolutely no sense if you actually believe the values that you espouse.
Like, I mean, one guy is responsible for like hundreds of thousands of deaths, maybe millions of deaths.
And the other guy is, you know, you think is a dick.
It's like, what, how are these things even comparable?
So, you know, I do think Donald Trump has been just an absolute failure as a president.
And I think he's continued some really horrible policies.
But it's hard to be a libertarian and to not at least see some good in what Donald Trump's been able to do.
I mean, first of all, he was essentially a third party who won.
You know, that's okay.
That's something.
That's a pretty big thing.
Is there nothing positive for a libertarian to take from that?
That somebody who essentially ran against the Republicans and the Democrats won.
That's incredible.
Doesn't mean he's a great libertarian or a good person, but he fucking won as a third party.
And that's like groundbreaking.
That never happens in this country.
So that's a pretty big thing.
And he exposed the fucking, not just that he exposed the corporate press.
He exposed the corporate press and the deep state, the military-industrial complex, and how they're all connected in a really profound way.
And if nothing else, and if he's going out now, and this is it for Donald Trump as president, and he's just going to go, you know, I don't know, whatever he's going to do, go run casinos or whatever the fuck he's going to do after this.
And Joe Biden's going to be president.
That's what's happening here.
It looks like this Hunter Biden computer scandal might be his last gift to us.
And when I say that, what I mean, the gift is, is just exposing how the corporate press is completely full of shit.
Like, here's one last time.
This is a story that is a scandal by any, like any way you measure it.
This is a big scandal.
I'm not saying you have to believe that this is the, you know, life-changing or the biggest scandal ever, or that this is going to make the difference in the presidential election.
I don't know, although possibly, I don't know, but there is no way an honest person could look at this and not say, yes, this is a scandal.
This is a scandal.
And plenty of honest people on the left are acknowledging this as well at this point.
And not only has the, you know, the big tech companies censored it and the media, I mean, they're making up this bullshit about the Russia disinformation angle.
They went all in on that.
Major newspapers, major media outlets all claiming this is Russian disinformation, which is just complete bullshit based on nothing other than we don't want to talk about this story because we are trying to get Joe Biden elected.
And I don't know, the Russia thing kind of worked for us for a little while.
So we're going back to that.
Let's just say it.
And, you know, so this might be it.
This might be Trump's last gift to us if he doesn't get if he doesn't get reelected.
And I think it's a valuable one.
I think exposing the corporate press, you know, just the people who sell us the mass murder campaigns, no big deal if you're a libertarian, just that group of people.
I think exposing them is pretty important.
So let's talk a little bit about Hunter Biden's MacBook hard drive.
Okay, so this is a big deal.
This is a really, really big deal.
This is a real deal scandal.
And here's pretty much what we know right now.
This is Hunter Biden's hard drive.
It is.
You know, the corporate press can tell you whatever they want, whatever they want to.
This is Hunter Biden's laptop.
There's, you know, it's like the corporate press could tell you all day long that fucking whatever.
You know, they could tell you that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, but he didn't.
And they could tell you that Assad gassed his own people, but he didn't.
And they can tell you that Gaddafi was about to go genocidal.
They could tell you that Trump was involved in a conspiracy with Russia.
They could tell you whatever the fuck they want to, but there is still this glorious thing called the truth.
And the truth is that this was Hunter Biden's laptop.
And at this point, the evidence is pretty overwhelming.
And to the point that it would have to be like the biggest fucking craziest conspiracy for this not to be true.
I mean, here's, here's what we have so far.
Number one, nobody is denying it.
So that's a huge, and when I say nobody, I'm not saying like, okay, there's, there's some pundits saying this is Russian disinformation, but none of them, even them, none of them are saying this isn't Hunter Biden's laptop.
Hunter Biden is not saying this isn't his laptop.
Joe Biden isn't saying this isn't his laptop.
And no one from Joe Biden's campaign is saying this isn't his laptop.
So that's that right there.
Like if it wasn't, why on earth would they not come out and say that, right?
So that's a pretty big, a pretty big piece of evidence in itself.
On top of that, Hunter Biden signed for it when he dropped it off at this computer repair shop.
He signed for it and they've matched up his signature.
It's Hunter Biden's signature.
I mean, I suppose you could argue that, like, someone went and forged this signature, and now they just won't say that or deny it.
But come on, it's his signature.
He signed for it.
Also, Hunter Biden's lawyers requested the laptop back.
So that's kind of an admission that it's theirs.
They're like, hey, we want it back because it's ours.
Okay.
So it's Hunter Biden's hard drive.
That's what this is.
And on top of that, they've also now at this point gone through the emails and contacted a bunch of people who were on the other end of these emails and they've all confirmed that yes, these are real emails that they were emailing back and forth with Hunter Biden.
So all of that put together, I'm sorry, it's like overwhelming evidence.
Now, I'm one of these guys, right?
This is how I treat all of these things.
And you know, if you listen to this show, you know, this is how I handle all of this shit.
Like whenever there, you know, whatever it is, there's a police shooting the night before, or there's some scandal, or there's some conspiracy.
I go, okay, well, what's the evidence?
Let's not rush to judgment on this.
What is the actual evidence?
And then if you have evidence for it, it's like, okay, then there you go.
Then this is clearly what happened once pretty overwhelming evidence comes in.
And if you listen to the show, the day after the post story came out, I was saying, okay, this might all be bullshit.
This might all be bullshit.
But now look at all the fucking evidence.
And it's like, no, this is real.
Whether they like it or not, this is real.
So, and it's the same.
And then you go, okay, so what's the evidence that this is a Russian disinformation campaign?
Nothing.
Quite literally, nothing.
They don't even have, you know, it's not even like all the intelligence community says this.
In fact, the Department of Justice and the director of national intelligence is saying, no, there's no evidence that this is a Russian involvement in this at all.
But what they have is like something like, you know, Adam Schiff saying, I've seen the intelligence.
It's Russian disinformation.
Like, okay.
But again, that's not evidence.
That's just you saying, well, I've seen some stuff and you got to take my word for it.
It's like, nope, I don't do that.
In the same sense that if Black Lives Matter is like telling you the details of a police shooting the other night, it's like, no, I'm going to wait to see the evidence.
I don't just like, no, whether it suits my narrative or doesn't suit my narrative, I'm not just going to believe you because you tell me to.
I need to see some evidence.
And with the Hunter Biden MacBook, I've seen some evidence now.
So this is everything indicates this is real.
It'd be shocking if something could explain for all of these different pieces of evidence.
There's really no other explanation.
This is real.
This is his laptop.
Okay.
So this developed quite a bit the other day.
Rudy Giuliani claimed that he had seen, and this is what people had been theorizing or about.
He claims that there are images of naked underage girls on his hard drive.
Now, let me just say this again.
And maybe I am disclaiming, but it's a fair disclaimer to make.
I'm not a fan of Rudy Giuliani.
Never been a fan of Rudy Giuliani.
I don't like the guy.
I don't like Rudy Giuliani.
I don't think he's a good politician.
I didn't think he was a good mayor.
My political philosophical origin story is Ron Paul just beating the shit out of Rudy Giuliani intellectually in 2007 at the Republican debates, just humiliating this guy and destroying his campaign.
Real Paper and Rudy's Lies00:02:23
Just, I mean, absolutely dominating him in front of the country.
And it's the most glorious thing that's ever happened.
Rudy Giuliani was running a stupid ass campaign in 2008.
So I'm not a guy, I don't like Rudy Giuliani.
I'm not rooting for Rudy Giuliani.
However, even as someone who really doesn't like Rudy Giuliani, the idea that he would lie about there being like child pornography on someone else's on someone's computer that he found seems like a fucking like that seems out of character.
That doesn't seem like something Rudy Giuliani would do.
And I can say this is someone who really doesn't like Rudy Giuliani.
Okay.
Now, that's not to say it's impossible, but that seems like a really wild thing for a guy who was the mayor, is the president's lawyer to just go out and claim wildly without being able to back that up.
All right, guys, let's take a second.
I want to thank our awesome sponsor for today's show, which is Real Paper.

All right, let's get back on the show.
Police Turn Over Evidence00:03:33
Now, just to be clear, he not only claimed that there were naked images of underage girls, but also that there's these incriminating text messages.
Like one of the text messages that he read is Hunter Biden's.
Okay, so it's his sister-in-law who he was sleeping with for a while because that's this is who Hunter Biden is: like smoking crack, banging his dead brother's wife.
Pretty, pretty classy guy.
So one of the text messages is Hunter saying that this woman, his former lover and sister-in-law, had let his psychiatrist know that he was like exposing himself to underage girls and doing all this creepy shit.
And I'm just saying it's fucking really, really wild shit to claim if it's not true.
But that's not all of it.
Rudy Giuliani also said he turned it over to the Delaware police because of this.
Okay.
Now, here's the other thing: he did.
He really did turn it over to the Delaware police.
So it's not just that he said he turned it over to them.
He did.
The Delaware Police Department, the Something Castle Police Department, they confirmed it.
And in addition to that, the Attorney General, Kathy Jennings, Matt Marshall, who's a spokeswoman for her, said, We've got a hard drive.
They turned it over to the New Castle County Police Department, and that they've turned it over to the FBI.
So it's confirmed, like pretty much beyond a reasonable doubt, that Rudy Giuliani really did turn this hard drive over to the police and that they then turned it over to the FBI when Giuliani said he did.
So Giuliani is telling you there's child pornography on this computer and I've turned it over to the police and the police are confirming and the attorney general is confirming that this was turned over to them.
Now, I suppose it's possible that Rudy Giuliani is just lying about what was on there, but then really did turn it over to the police.
I mean, that is possible, but seems highly unlikely.
Let's just say that.
Like highly, highly unlikely that Rudy Giuliani is making up accusations about child pornography and then actually turning the computer over to police while making up these accusations, because like obviously then it's going to be discovered that he's making false accusations and this is going to, you know, like it just doesn't make any sense.
The most likely explanation here is that he really saw this shit on the computer.
That's that's just, I mean, you tell me, but with all of this evidence now at this point, this isn't just like a wild conspiracy theory.
There's all of this evidence and it seems to all point in one direction, which is that this is real.
Now, if that's real and the emails are real, which by all indication they are, I mean, no one from Joe Biden's campaign is denying it.
She would think they would want to, but they're rather taking the strategy of just not talking about it.
So if that's real, what we've got here is a situation where the candidate's drug addict son is in possession of child pornography.
Corporate Press Censorship00:07:13
He's also been raking in millions of dollars from foreign governments and very blatantly selling access to his father.
In addition to that, it seems like there's several emails that, let's say, suggest Joe Biden was getting paid off directly from these foreign governments.
This shit is on many different levels criminal and corrupt and just a big deal.
So with all of that staring right in your face, the entire corporate press is choosing to ignore it.
Maybe not even ignore it.
Maybe that's not the best way to describe it.
Ignore it or just without, you know, giving you reasons, just dismiss it.
Say, oh, this is propaganda.
This is Russian disinformation.
It's like, well, what about it is wrong?
Oh, we don't even need to tell you that.
We don't even need to tell you that.
And of course, they're also being aided by the tech companies.
And this is a big, a really big problem, really big problem.
So now we find ourselves in a situation where Twitter did their best to silence this conversation.
It was trending.
It was trending in like three different spots before they fucking started suspending people and they made the link unshareable and all that shit.
And then Twitter went down the next day.
And then Facebook banned it as well and all of this shit, right?
It hasn't been trending since then.
It hasn't been, you know, so like they've been pretty effective at suppressing this story, at least to some degree.
Although there has been like what they call a Streisan effect, where because they banned it, a whole bunch of people started, you know, talking about it.
I don't know how effective ultimately that was, but there's no question that, you know, with the exception of like the New York Post and Fox News, no one really in the corporate press has been, you know, talking about it, or at least actually talking about the scandal rather than just dismissing it.
So that's, you know, that's happening.
And then in response to this scandal, Joe Biden, and again, this is not disputed.
Uh put what they call a lid on his campaign.
So he just decided i'm not talking to reporters so he won't take questions about this, that's it.
I mean the, the town hall that he had uh, with um, you know his, his old friend uh uh Stephanopoulos um, the on ABC, so he had that town hall.
They didn't ask him any questions about it, and then he's just like, nope, just not going to talk to the press till after the debate.
So you know, it's really something too that the, the press is just okay with this, like it's like this is what I mean by it's Trump's last gift, like this whole moment.
It's like they're just no one has a problem with that.
I mean, can you imagine like how, how can, how can you even spin this?
Oh, that's okay, he just doesn't.
The guy who, who is the first presidential candidate in my lifetime to not campaign, just decided he's also going to put a lid on his, on his campaign relations with the press.
You know, few weeks before the election, he's just not going to talk, not going to take questions, not going to hold events, that's it, no problem, no problem with that.
I like how that for these people who claim to love, you know democracy and are so concerned that something might undermine our, our democracy, how the can you have a democracy?
That means anything.
If one of the candidates won't answer questions, it won't leave his basement.
He's like what?
By the way, here's something to just expose the corporate press.
Why is there not more outrage that there's only two debates this year?
I mean like, even if you buy the bullshit that Well, Trump had Covet and that's why we couldn't have the second debate.
I mean, we could have town halls with both of them separately, but we couldn't have a debate with both of them together.
What so?
Okay, so reschedule it.
Is this?
Is this not kind of important?
Like literally, if something, if something comes up for my podcast, if I have an interesting guest and they, they were under the weather and couldn't make it, we'll reschedule it for the next week.
This is the debate between the two guys competing to be commander in chief.
They can't reschedule this.
This is, this is acceptable.
No one in the corporate press is like furious.
They're not furious, but just like no one thinks this is an outrage.
No one thinks like this is something we should really uh, work to fix.
One of the candidates is not answering questions, and and we're only having two debates in this really important year, that's not a big deal to anybody okay, So, so this is the situation.
This is going to be it.
Tomorrow is it.
This is the last debate.
And this is Trump's only chance, but it's a big chance.
It's a big opportunity to get this story in front of the American people.
And now, all right, guys, let's take a quick second.
I want to thank our awesome sponsor for today's show, which is, of course, Infinite CBD.
I'm thrilled to have them back on the show because honestly, I just love getting their products.
I love that freezing point topical cream.
I've told you guys about this before.
Last year, I had a pinched nerve.
Nothing was helping me.
This freezing point topical cream really works.
My father-in-law just this year had knee surgery before he went in for surgery.
His knee was killing him.
I was like, you know what?
Why don't you try this stuff I have?
This freezing point topical cream.
He tried it.
He said it was the best thing that he's used for his knees too.
And he had like major knee issues.
This stuff really works.
If you have muscle pain or achiness, go to infinitcbd.com, order some of their topical cream.
I'm telling you, the freezing point topical cream is a real deal.
Also, they have a bunch of different products, all types of different CBD products.
Of course, CBD is the non-psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
So it has medical benefits, but it doesn't get you high.
They do everything in-house to maintain high quality at Infinite CBD.
They have the most cost-effective prices on the market.
They were actually ranked the number one CBD company by herb.co.
Infinite CBD has a wide range of products, including gummies, lube, nano products.
My personal favorite, of course, is the freezing point topical cream.
Go to infinitcbd.com, use the promo code P-O-T-P.
That'll get you 20% off your entire order.
One more time, infinitcbd.com, promo code P-O-T-P for 20% off.
All right, let's get back into the show.
As I mentioned in the last podcast, there's some really, really strange things that have all happened in line with this scandal developing with this story.
Okay.
So as I mentioned, there's a few of them, right?
Strange Timing with Borat00:06:03
So it's like Twitter not only takes this unprecedented move of actually banning the link, like so you can't even share the New York Post's article, and they silence the New York Post.
They silence the White House press secretary.
I mean, like, it is really kind of nutty stuff, like to a different level than we've seen before.
So they do that.
Then very strangely, the next day Twitter is down, which doesn't really seem to happen that often.
The day after this story breaks, Donald Trump does a town hall meeting with Savannah Gunthri, and she asks him about pedophilia conspiracies.
Again, this is very strange.
It is very, very strange that pedophilia comes up at a presidential town hall meeting, like right around the time this story breaks, the day after this story breaks, where you have the former mayor of New York City now claiming that he saw child pornography on this computer and has, has been confirmed, has turned this over to the police and they've sent it to the FBI.
And just coincidentally, after this story came out, Donald Trump happened to be asked to denounce pedophile conspiracy theories.
I'm sorry, that's just really hard for me to get past.
Really, really strange.
But also, they've now come out with these new rules that they can mute microphones in this next debate, which will be the only opportunity Donald Trump has to tell this story to the American people who have in many corners had it blocked out.
I mean, yeah, if you watch Fox News or if you read the New York Post, or I guess if you listen to this show, or if you, you know, like if you're in the corners of dissident, you know, right wing or thought or something like that on the internet, then yeah, you might like know all about this.
But if not, you know, if you just read most newspapers or if you just watch CNN or MSNBC, then all you've heard is that there's some bullshit out there that's fucking, you know, Russian disinformation.
That's all you've heard.
But Donald Trump could tell you what the story is.
And this debate, where this very unusual circumstance happens to also be a debate for the only presidential debate that I've ever heard of.
And I'm pretty sure in the history of televised presidential debates, this is the only one where they've changed the rules that they can mute one of the president's presidential candidates microphones.
I don't know.
Does that not seem strange to anyone?
Now, of course, I understand you can find little justifications.
Well, Trump interrupted too much in the first debate, but just seems a little bit strange.
Seems a little strange.
But Donald Trump's still going to have some time and we'll see what happens.
Now, from what I've heard, they've also taken foreign policy out of the topics for this debate, which is kind of interesting.
Two people running for the job of commander in chief.
They didn't talk foreign policy at the last debate.
This is the final debate.
I thought we love democracy so much.
Well, shouldn't the candidates tell you what their views are before they run for the job?
How else does, how else is voting, you know, like, how does it work?
But anyway, of course, because if they talk about foreign policy, then Trump can just easily pivot right to this story.
Well, let me tell you about foreign policy.
You know, Biden is compromised.
He's in the pockets of these foreign countries.
And by the way, your son's got some inappropriate pictures on that computer too.
So the question is going to be: can Trump explain this?
Can he actually get this out there?
And if so, this really could be what gets him re-elected.
This could be the thing.
So it's going to be really fucking interesting.
Really interesting to see how this all goes down.
Now, additionally, I guess I should mention that one of the other things that's really strange is this story about Rudy Giuliani in the Borat movie that's that's just now coming out.
And the story that everyone's saying, like I've seen these things like online where it's like, oh, Rudy Giuliani inappropriately touched himself with a 15-year-old girl in the movie Borat, in the next Borat movie.
Now, I guess in the same, for the sake of full disclosure, I just say, I haven't seen this scene.
I know some people have seen it, even though it hasn't been released yet.
I was a fan of Alley G back in the day.
I really liked that character.
I never really got into any of Sasha Baron Cohen's shit since then.
But this happened this summer.
This is old.
It's very strange that it's just coming out right now.
And it seems to be pretty clearly a distraction technique.
The other thing is that it's being greatly misrepresented.
Okay, so he wasn't in there with a 15-year-old girl.
He was in there with like a 24-year-old girl.
And from what a lot of people who have seen the scene are claiming, they're saying that, yeah, he wasn't like grabbing his fucking dick.
It's like he was, she like as part of their gag.
Know, they're like pranking him, and she like untucked his shirt and then he went to tuck it back in, and that's him reaching down his pants.
I don't know, I haven't seen the scene, but he's in there with a 24-year-old girl, and then Borat runs in and yells, That's my 15-year-old daughter, and he's like in a bikini or some shit.
So, it's you know, a ridiculous Borat scene.
Um, but either way, I mean, I just don't like, okay, so maybe Juliana is a creep too.
And if it comes out and we watch it, and that's what it was, okay, he should face consequences for that.
But don't let them distract you from this humongous story here with bullshit, um, which it seems like isn't even a thing.
Like, it seems like he was set up, you know, whatever.
Social Media Bigger Than Liberty00:07:40
Um, so anyway, the other point that I think is worth um harping on again is the issue of tech censorship, and this is something man that libertarians really, really have to grapple with.
And I've been saying this for years now: this is something libertarians really have to grapple with.
And uh, Joe Jorgensen had a tweet uh about this recently that I thought was just horrible, shocking.
Um, Joe Jorgensen's, you know, social, the social media team for Joe Jorgensen and Spike Cohen have not done them any favors.
I will tell you that.
Um, and uh, that's pretty important, especially when you're not really getting on traditional media.
And of course, she did, by the way, Joe Jorgensen did get on some traditional media the other day, she was on Kennedy, and it was a fucking nightmare, just an awful appearance.
And I'm sorry, I, you know, I apologize to the libertarians who know it's like, uh, you know, think I'm being too critical of them, but my God, I mean, this team that they have around them is like it's like the most unprofessional, disorganized, and just mismanaged bullshit I've ever seen.
She go, she got on Kennedy finally, and fucking like her microphone didn't work, it was like echoing all over the place.
It just her background looked awful, it was like a nightmare.
And then Kennedy asked her about the All Lives Matter comment, and she had like no response for it, like nothing.
And she was like, Oh, well, I don't know how you got the impression that I was saying that was a good thing.
I was just saying that the market does an even better job.
And it's like, oh, well, if everyone got that impression, maybe it's on you.
Like, anyway, but she had a tweet that said something like, she was like, Well, the tech companies do or do, you know, show political bias, but that's their right to.
And it's like, okay, you know, that's really not the most effective, you know, messaging right now, because basically what you're saying to everybody is, hey, here's this enormous problem, and we have no solution for it.
Here's this enormous problem.
And we think they have a right to do that.
Now, even if you technically think that that's true, if you want to address it, this is like basic how you sell liberty 101.
You don't fucking sell it that way.
Like, because there's other legitimate points to make, also, right?
Like, you know, it's like if you were talking to some left-winger and they were like, oh, well, you libertarians, you know, believe in, you know, freedom of association, but look at like, you know, Jim Crow South or something like that.
And you were to go, well, look, I mean, I don't, I don't agree with hanging up a whites only sign outside your business, but you have every right to do that.
It's like, okay, I'm not saying that like that is technically true, but it's a pretty shitty way to sell libertarianism, right?
And if you're speaking to anyone on the left, you can consider them lost forever.
Like you are not going to sell anything to them if that is how you present it.
Because another way to present it is to also be like, hey, yeah, Jim Crow laws were the law of the land.
And like this is, and the state is the ones that came in and kind of made this the situation.
And that the state has fucked over black people, XYZ, and all these different ways.
And they also fuck over white people in all these different ways.
So the answer here is to get rid of the state.
I mean, whatever.
Everybody knows this.
There's like just effective ways to sell this.
So, what you could say in the, you know, you could talk about how the fucking tech companies are, you know, were like created by the state and that the state protects them and that basically all this shit goes on around elections.
So, the problem is really how much political power we have to begin with and all of this.
But this is a real fucking problem.
I mean, just think about this.
Like, I almost challenge libertarians to a hypothetical, right?
Like, imagine, let's just say, even if you don't, if you're not convinced, let's just say hypothetically, this, this scandal with Hunter Biden, this is all completely real.
I mean, let's like make it worse, make it like he's raping children on this hard drive.
There's video of it.
Let's say his father is in there too.
Like, just hypothetical as a thought experiment, right?
Let's say the guy running for president is on video raping children.
And social media companies can censor that so that a fraction of the people who would have seen it now see it.
I don't mean see the tape, I just mean know of the story, you know?
Doesn't that seem like a pretty big problem that these people can do that for all types of like nefarious reasons?
You see how these social media companies are hiring people who worked for the Chinese Communist Party to basically use their same method of social control on the American people.
This is a big, big problem.
And libertarians really need to grapple with this and come up with like real tangible solutions to this problem.
Because if you don't, then you're going to lose to the statists.
You will.
You'll lose to them because they'll be like, well, here's the fucking solution.
Fucking outlaw that shit.
And that, you know, that tends to beat libertarianism anyway.
And so it's really bad if we're just like, well, you got a right to do it.
So go ahead and do it.
Oh, this is this is a real example of how fucking corrupt this whole thing is.
And it's possibly Donald Trump's parting gift for all of us.
And I'll tell you, if it is, here's the real fucking real surprise for all the establishment types, for all the Joe Biden Democrat establishment types, right?
Here's the real surprise to them: they think if they can just get Trump out of there, then they've got this thing back under control.
This is Joe Biden's campaign, right?
I'm going to save the American soul or whatever.
If we can just get Biden in there, then it goes back to the pre-Trump country.
But it's not how it's going to work.
You know, they could get Donald Trump out of there, but these gifts that he's given us, these are gifts that last a lifetime.
They're not going away.
None of this is going away.
No one's going to forget how corrupt the media was, how corrupt these social media companies are.
No one's going to forget that.
And this scandal, win-loser, draw is going to continue to be with Joe Biden.
In fact, it's just going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.
I mean, more and more stuff is just going to come out, even if he ends up winning in a couple of weeks.
It's more of this shit is going to come out.
And so this is going to be a scandal going forward.
And of course, the major problem is that they don't realize that Trump was a result of their policies.
That's what's going on here.
Donald Trump was a result of the establishment policies.
And the establishment has just doubled down on all of these policies.
So what's that a recipe for?
Another Trump.
And this one will be way Trumpier.
Trust me.
They think Trump was a right-wing authoritarian.
Wait till you see the next.
Wait till you see the next one and the next one.
It's going to be left-wing populists versus right-wing populists for years to come in this country.
And they're going to be harder left and harder right.
That's the direction this country is going in.
It's not coming back to the cushy middle centrist extremists like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
I mean, Biden might get in this time, but it's going to be real hard for them going forward.
All right.
Tomorrow night is the debate, the debate of debates, and I'm pretty excited to watch it.
And then Friday, we will, me and Robbie the Fire Bernstein will come and we'll recap the whole thing for you.
