DHS Subpoenas Social Media Companies, The Warner Brothers Acquisition Heats Up and the DNA that could Solve the Guthrie Case
Jack Posovic’s episode dissects the DHS’s February 2026 subpoenas of social media firms, amid a U.S. military buildup targeting drug cartels and ISIS strikes hitting 30+ Syrian targets. Meanwhile, the Guthrie case in Pima County, Arizona, reveals DNA evidence pointing to a male suspect via a Y chromosome, though local investigators—including inexperienced detectives—cleared the scene before federal agents arrived. Upcoming board resolutions may block FBI/HSI/ICE cooperation, raising concerns about delays similar to the Idaho 4 murders, while Posovic ties Hollywood’s shift (e.g., Warner Bros’ acquisition, Disney’s canceled pride events) to broader cultural backlash against "woke" narratives, suggesting Paramount’s bid could restore conservative values. There is a legitimate reason to have a debate about things like migration.

Fallout over the latest release of the Epstein files, Hollywood mogul Casey Wasserman is selling his sports marketing and talent agency after his suggestive emails with Epstein associate Gillen Maxwell were revealed.
In a letter to Congress on Saturday, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the Justice Department has released all of those files, claiming it had fulfilled its obligations under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
That's a little bit up for debate.
The letter also outlined its justification for the redactions made in the released files, explaining they were limited to victim privacy, including personally identifiable information and medical details.
You spoke with the Pima County Sheriff.
What are investigators focusing on right now?
The sheriff who I spoke with yesterday saying they are tracking down several significant leads.
The first one being the clothing that we have seen the suspect wearing.
The sheriff yesterday confirming that investigators have now been working with Walmart at local stores, reviewing surveillance video from those stores here in the local Tucson area.

We are here live, Real America's Voice.
Today is February 16th, 2026.
Anno Dominé.
Well, folks, huge news out of the Department of Homeland Security.
This is something that we've been pushing for for quite some time.
And now it appears that it's actually coming to pass.
What does it mean?
And they're all losing their minds.
The Department of Homeland Security is finally going after Discord, Reddit, and these other sites where anti-ICE anarchists, anarchists, terrorists, and communists are using to plot their attacks on our federal agents.
And let's just see.
So now there have been hundreds of subpoenas, we're told, as all over the media, hundreds of subpoenas, Google, Meta, Discord, Reddit, all of these sites, administrative subpoenas for the Department of Homeland Security, according to government officials, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The department asked the companies for identifying details of the accounts that do not have a real person's name attached and have criticized, ICE, or pointed to the location of ICE agents.
The New York Times is reporting they saw two subpoenas that were set to Meta over the last six months.
Folks, this is what we're pushing for.
We need to disrupt these networks.
We need to shut down the networks of anarchists operating in this country.
We need to hit them where it hurts.
Take out their communications.
That's what this is about.
We know that they like, keep in mind, for Trump supporters from that, right?
We were banned off of all of social media.
Go back to the Biden, the Biden regime.
During the regime era in this country, we had to create our own social media apps.
We had to go to places like Telegram.
We had to create Getter and Truth Social and all these places to be able to congregate just to be able to share our opinions and our support for Donald Trump.
These guys, they've had control of Reddit.
They have a control of Wikipedia.
They control Google.
They control Meta.
They control many of these places, or at least they have had control of them for so long.
They operate in the open.
This is a key strategic weakness for them.
Their command and control, this is their C2.
Their command and control operations are done primarily through basic social media pathways.
And as such, those companies can be subpoenaed because if there is criminal activity taking place, and of course, the, you know, all the media is, oh, civil liberties and oh my gosh, what about the human rights?
And oh no, it's so bad.
These are crimes.
You can't use social media to plan crimes.
It's really that simple.
And I don't seem to remember any of these people being upset with Doug Mackey got arrested, indicted, and convicted for posting a meme in 2016.
Nobody had a problem with that.
Now he got doxed, and everybody who was in the group chat that was in with him got doxed.
They went after him.
I don't know anyone who's in any of those group chats.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Any group chats?
I don't recall.
Do not recall, officer.
But, but we've already had the Rubicon crossed by the left.
You guys threw a guy in jail, or you tried to throw a guy in jail until his conviction was thrown out in appeals court for posting a meme.
And now you're going to sit there and cry, sucking your thumb and crying like little babies because the actual criminals are about to face justice.
I love it.
Crackdown on all of the Antifa networks.
We'll be right back.

Well folks, we've been talking a lot about and this, this goes back even the last year.
You guys remember this whole situation with Netflix and Warner Brothers.
So the Warner Brothers buyout, with Netflix trying to come in.
And you know, we we here at Human Events did with the Stranger Things finale.
We totally exposed them.
We became international news by going so hard as we did.
We explained what was going wrong with that finale.
We were early to the punch on this.
Finally, everybody agreed eventually that we were exactly right.
It was so creepy.
What they were doing to little kids was obviously grooming.
And then, in the midst of all of this controversy, there was this pitch and an announcement that came out that said that Netflix was going to be purchasing Warner Brothers, the beloved Warner Brothers.
We're talking DC Comics, we're talking Batman Superman, Wonder Woman.
We're talking uh, Looney Tunes, we're talking HBO all of the things that Warner Brothers runs.
All of a sudden is going to be controlled by Netflix.
And we said well, this is obviously a problem, given Netflix's complete and utter fealty to the Trans agenda.
And again what we just saw, the abuse of children and disgusting woke uh narratives being pushed everywhere.
So what just happened?
Over the weekend, I think yesterday afternoon, Bloomberg broke the news that Warner Brothers suddenly is picking up the phone again, and they're talking to other companies, specifically Paramount, about a huge deal that Paramount put in.
Now, this is what's considered a hostile offer, which means they've gone.
So the board right, the Netflix board excuse me, the Warner Brothers board, who is going in there saying well, we want Netflix.
So Paramount came in and put in a bigger offer.
And then the board said no, we still want to go with Netflix.
Then Paramount came in and put in an even bigger offer, but here's the kicker.
They didn't submit it to the board.
They submitted it directly to the shareholders.
And the shareholders took a look at this and said, wait a minute, they're offering more money.
So if they're offering more money per share, then don't you have a fiduciary responsibility to actually let the people of the company decide whether or not this offer is better.
And I'll tell you right now, folks, the trans agenda that Netflix has played a huge role in is a major part of this.
So I want to bring on now my friend Terry Schilling because he and I have been talking about this for years at this point.
His organization, the American Principles Project, has been fighting against it and exposing it.
I think this is a huge win.
Terry, are you there?
Hey, Jack.
Thanks so much for having me.
So, Terry, you know what this world is like.
This is corporate America.
The fact that we've just seen in the last couple of weeks the gay days at Disney, the huge pride celebration that they usually have in June is now being suspended or even canceled because of lack of corporate dollars.
Now we're seeing Netflix, which went all in on wokeness and the LGBT agenda, specifically huge emphasis on the T, but also injecting it into stranger things.
Now all of a sudden, Warner Brothers is saying, you know, maybe we want to go in a more family-friendly direction, and Netflix is a risky bet for us.
Terry, how did this shift occur?
Well, Jack, I think in no small part, it had a lot to do with people like you and your viewers putting a lot of pressure on Netflix, but also on Warner Brothers.
I think this new deal is absolutely fantastic.
It's very creative.
It's forcing the question that, you know, if you want to do this Netflix deal, it's at least got to be fair.
But I think that ultimately this is all coming down because of the pressure that your viewers and War Room and everyone else in the consortium is putting on.
Netflix is a damaged brand.
Sure, people still subscribe to it and it still makes money.
But at the same time, millions of parents all across the country are very concerned about the fact that so many of the characters in Y7, TVY7, which is aimed at seven years old and up, why so many of these shows have transgender and drag queen themes and LGBTQ characters when they're at children, right?
There's a show, Deada and Paranormal Park, that has this main protagonist, Barney Gutman, who's voiced by a transgender actor.
But the character, Barney Gutman, is a gay transgender teenage boy.
This is insane.
This is a show that's rated Y7 on Netflix, on Netflix Kids, and it's promoted to them.
There's so many other examples, Jack, but this is obviously, I think, large part due to you and your audience putting pressure on Warner Brothers.
Well, look, the pressure, here's how I look at it, right?
Is, you know, I've got kids.
You've got like, you know, an entire, I think you have enough kids for a class of children at this point, Terry.
But it's, it's when you go and look at the great cartoons that are out there, what do you think of?
You think of Warner Brothers.
My kids still watch the old Looney Tunes.
They love them.
They all hold up.
They're great.
And Warner Brothers, I think, has always had that family-friendly brand that's always been their reputation.
That's what they're known for.
You see that big WB pop out and you think, this is something that I can watch with my kids.
If they partner with that, I think that's exactly right.
They're going to lose that.
They're going to lose all of that.
I think one of the things that it's not just Looney Tunes.
It's all the other brands that are part of the Warner Brothers.
I think you mentioned earlier DC Comics, right?
Wonder Woman and Batman and Batman and Superman.
You know, the thing is, for me, is if Paramount takes a steel on, I think we can sleep well at night knowing that all of a sudden, you know, Bugs Bunny is not going to come out of the closet as a, you know, a trans woman demi-boy or something.
Well, to be fair, Bugs Bunny did that in one of the original episodes, Terry.
But at least he does do that.
He dresses as the girl to trick Elmer Fudd.
He's family-centered and kid-centered.
But Netflix is primarily an activist company, an activist corporation.
They like to drive narratives.
They like to drive ideologies.
And it's too bad for them.
People just want to be entertained.
They want to laugh.
They want to let their kids learn about physics through Looney Tunes.
Yeah, exactly.
Physics or just enjoy a fun, you know, a fun show.
And we saw Disney went, of course, with Buzz Lightyear that completely went down the tubes when they started introducing LGBT and that.
We've seen it in Pixar.
You've seen it in so many places because ultimately the communist can't help themselves.
They have to inject politics.
They have to inject this stuff in there.
They force it down the throat.
They force it down the throat of kids because they need it in there because it fulfills this total.
And people still tell me, I don't watch anymore, but people still tell me that you can't watch any Netflix show or adaptation.
It's been the meme without some kind of woke subplot or woke addition.
There's going to be, even for adults, there's going to be some kind of like LGBT thing or there's going to be some race swapping that goes on.
It's always, always, always guaranteed.
And this is something where I think we were talking about the other day, but talking about media, how, you know, even in HBOs, I guess there's a new Game of Thrones spinoff now.
And people are pointing out that it's really not woke and it really just kind of sticks to the original source material and shows medieval times kind of the way that it was.
And it's sort of like a breach of a breath of fresh air for a lot of people.
And at the end of the day, Terry, this is corporate America is really, really getting hit hard because of the cultural backlash to wokeness.
Yes, and rightfully so, right?
The whole point and purpose of wokeness is to antagonize, it's to subvert the prevailing and dominant culture, right?
They want to usher in, they want to change how your kids think and what they accept and what they accept as normal.
It's grown tiresome, right?
The 2010s were so terrible.
And I think it was in large part because Obama was really working on all these deals.
And I think you've been on the front lines of pointing out how involved the Obamas are with Netflix as a corporation.
Their agenda is being supported by Netflix.
When Obama was president, he went in campaigning on supporting traditional marriage.
And by the time he left office, he was promoting transgenderism in all of our schools, putting boys and girls sports, giving kids sex change procedures, confusing Americans about which bathrooms to use.
It's absolutely atrocious.
And to know that Obama is so heavily engaged with Netflix as a corporation, it really tells you all you need to know.
This is a political organization.
It's a political company.
And they really don't care as much about making money as they do influencing you and how your children think.
It's all about the narrative.
Terry, where can people go to follow you and support your work?
Go to Schilling1776, S-C-H-I-L-L-I-N-G 1776.

Thought Bomb, Fast SWAT00:05:12
I want to get in now.
Huge events over the weekend.
I'm sure you guys saw a bunch of this on social media Friday night after the show ended.
Major development seemed like it was happening down in Pima County where Kevin Psovic, our field correspondent, was down there following up on leads, collecting sources, and he got footage of the bomb squad and SWAT team rolling out of the Pima County Sheriff's Office on a SWAT raid.
I want to go now live to Kevin Posovic in Tucson, Arizona.
Kevin, how are you?
Doing pretty well, Jack.
How are you?
Hey, so for folks who weren't following, you know, online all weekend, walk people through just in a nutshell, what happened there.
You're out front of Nancy Guthrie's house.
What happened on Friday night?
Yeah, so Friday night, there was a SWAT operation.
There was a bomb truck that left Pima County Sheriff's Department.
And there's the same bomb truck that I saw later on.
But not only that, Jack, but there was also two SWAT vehicles that came by out of this neighborhood.
So along with that, a convoy of about four to four to 10 other sheriffs' trucks and undercover vehicles all swarmed into the scene here.
And we thought we really had it in the bag here.
There was three people detained.
Okay.
And they apparently were questioned and cooperative and then released the next day.
And no Nancy, no word of Nancy.
And we were told by the PIO that they would release a statement that night.
We thought it would be in person.
Then it was going to be an email.
Then the email didn't come through.
So that was Friday.
And now fast forward to today, and we're getting confirmation that law enforcement is looking through with Walmart the source of who bought this backpack, who bought the clothes, who bought the gloves.
because we have a match back from the DNA analysis too, that it is a male.
And we want to know, is this an online purchase?
Is this an in-store purchase?
Was it cash?
Was it credit?
I mean, that should be easily found through transaction histories.
So, yeah, with that, I mean, we're also looking into a new report from TMZ saying that there's a new ransom message saying that she, Nancy, could possibly have been spotted over the border.
So, you know, not to be too speculative, but also, yeah, the way they recovered this DNA as well is interesting.
And I was reporting on this earlier in that the fingerprints and the blood.
I thought initially the blood would be more accurate, but it seems they could even utilize fingerprint technology now too, especially if you have criminal history.
I mean, you're already in the database anyway.
No, it's my report.
So, Kevin, that I believe that one you're referring to is that, so there was, there were 16 gloves.
I guess this is the FBI statement.
There were 16 gloves found that didn't match or didn't have the DNA on them.
However, there was one glove found that was nearby.
It matched the video that was shown that Nest camera recovered footage.
It did match the style of glove.
And inside that, they did find DNA.
And I think what they were saying, my reading between the lines of this was that it wasn't necessarily blood, as you say, but that it was touch DNA.
So not the blood of Nancy Guthrie, but actually the DNA skin cells, that sort of thing, transfer DNA from the person who was wearing it.
And then so this is where this big kerfuffle has gotten in over the weekend.
And I know you've been talking to sources and human events sources have been at this all weekend talking about this really dust up between which lab are they going to use, the Quantico lab, which of course has access to all of the national database or this lab down in Florida, which is a private lab, doesn't have access to all of those materials, isn't as fast as the FBI lab.
And of course, has been, you know, has been leading to a number of these issues.
So, Kevin, what can you tell us about the latest on that DNA issue?
So we have, you know, plenty of advances in technology, including AI.
And if you look back to the OJ Simpson case, that was 30 years ago.
That did definitely take, you know, about two to six months to get that analysis.
So you fast forward, this took about 24 to 48 hours.
So they utilize genetic genealogy.
And so if you're familiar with any ancestral type of website to figure out your lineage, you take a swab of your saliva or blood and you submit it to these companies and they will track who you're related to.
DNA Genealogy Breakthrough00:14:42
Okay.
So they're using that as well now.
We didn't have that 30 years ago and certainly not as fast.
So they're utilizing that to find a match, whether it be a brother, a daughter, a sister, a son, someone who is related to the suspect in question.
And also going to check out those ancestry databases, just like the Brian Koberger case.
Quick break, uh hard.
Stop there, Kev.
Hold there, we'll be right back.
human events daily where is jack where is he jack i want to see you Great job, Jack.

All right, we're back.
We've got Kevin Posobic there.
Live on the scene out front of Nancy Guthrie's house.
I wanted to bring in as well Lyndon Blake from REAL, from the Daily WIRE, who's been running a completely phenomenal showcase on this.
Lyndon, how are you?
I'm good, how are you guys?
We're great.
So so Lyndon Kevin, in the last segment was explaining to us and we were kind of getting into this, this dispute, the DNA sort of the dueling statements from the FBI and the Sheriff walk us through the type of Dna that we believe was recovered from the glove and and what it means in terms of this profile that they're trying to work up.
And how does the FBI then use that in by putting it into this Codis database?
We're hearing all these, these phrases, these jargons run around.
What does it all mean?
Okay, so I actually just talked with a former FBI special agent this morning.
That really made this very clear.
So they have, you said, the touch CNA.
They're looking at any type of fingerprints on this one glove out of the 16 gloves that were found scattered around Nancy's home.
So remember Jack, we talked about this last week how Pima County is using this private lab in Florida for the processing and we all know the FBI lab Quantico is up there in Virginia.
So this evidence from this one singular glove we know preliminary.
It's an unknown Mail.
That was done in Florida.
So because the FBI and Beaumont County are operating off these two different labs, which we can get to later about why that may be, now they're having to get this glove from Florida to the FBI lab because they're the one that has CODIS and they can put it in their database.
That database is for the FBI.
And so you get this DNA.
We're in the quality control stage today, Monday, could be hearing something today, potentially.
But right now, it's being put into CODIS after the quality control thing.
And then from there, in CODIS, if this person has any type of criminal record in their database, they'll be able to match whoever, not saying that it's the guy on the video.
Whoever's DNA is on this glove, they'll be able to match that.
Now, if there's not anything in CODIS, that's what Kevin was talking about, that they're going to have to go down the genealogy trail, which is how Brian Koberger was caught.
He had no criminal record prior to slaughtering four people.
So they can go through 23andMe, ancestry.com.
And these things have been around for a while.
I mean, I think I did ancestry.com over a decade ago now.
And back in the day, people are buying these presents for people.
All that DNA automatically went into a database.
You didn't even get permission.
It was these people getting these Christmas presents, ancestry.com.
And all of a sudden, grandpa goes to jail because they matched his DNA.
So now, since that, there's more regulation.
So you have to, if you do this DNA, you have to, or for through a kit, you have to say, like, I subscribe to putting it in the database.
But there's two options there from this DNA found on the glove.
When it gets in the FBI's hands, it's going to be run through CODIS, and then they may have to go down the genealogy trail.
And it's just a spider web of really how you put it together because you want to match the DNA on the glove to somebody.
And then you have the DNA at the crime scene.
And to Kevin's point, this has not been confirmed by law enforcement, but it seems there have been reports that they were using DNA and swiping that Range Rover from one of the incidents on Friday night for DNA as well to look into.
So there's a lot of things up in the air right now.
But this, you know, so you can look at it with like a hesitant eye, but it also could be a big breakthrough in this case if there's a profile match.
One, that's right.
And by the way, just so folks who understand this, that includes if anyone in your family has ever done a 23andMe, guess what?
They're still locked up.
So I've never, wait, wait, Kev, I've never done it.
Have you done it?
No, I haven't myself.
No.
No, but see, here's the problem, Kev.
I was in the military.
So the way I figure it is they got, they got all my stuff on record.
So sorry, man, they're going to get you if they start looking.
You're busted.
You're done for.
Hey, Jack, if I could interject here, I wanted to follow up on the glove thing.
So keep in mind, if you look at that picture of the glove, the flowers in the background look very similar to the same kind of flowers in the security footage.
So if this guy's going through the yard, he's going through, there's a lot of vegetation here, and there's a lot of thorns and cactuses, okay, which could prick your skin if you're trying to get through the weeds.
So he could have got bloodied up by one of these cactuses or thorns in the first place, which would make his gloves bloody with his own blood.
And to follow up on the Idaho case, what they did, what they did there was they tracked, you know, not only through all these tips and family members, but they tracked the family members with a certain vehicle.
So now the next step could be that they will match fingerprints or whatnot from the Range Rover, because to my knowledge, no other prominent vehicle has been towed away and taken as evidence.
So I think there could be a match there.
That's what led to the arrest in the Idaho case.
And we're hoping that's what brings the conclusion to this case as well.
Well, I think they do.
Actually, let me ask Lyndon that.
Lyndon, there was, I believe, a report that they took the sister's vehicle.
Do we know if they still have that?
Or is that something they're still checking out?
So reporters on the ground haven't seen it back at the home.
But yeah, that was a report was the first vehicle that was towed into evidence was Annie's car.
And then the sheriff, whenever the last time he spoke, said that that car, you know, standard protocol towed into evidence.
Well, then it was after that press conference.
We saw Nancy's car, the car from Nancy's house, get towed into evidence that Friday when we saw the big FBI, you know, ascension on her house.
But then now the Range Rover has also been towed as well.
So yeah, I think Kevin's right.
And the Koberger case should give people hope.
That went over a month.
But the entire time they were putting together this really timeline, this story of Brian Koberger before they were able to follow him across the country to do that.
I think the inconsistencies with this case and with Koberger, you before you even knew who did it, you were, you knew they went through the back door.
You know, there's all those house diaphragms or not diaphragms, diagrams where people were trying to figure out who did it, but there was a clear picture of kind of how that went about.
I think the difference in this case, you know, we still don't have a suspect ID and we don't know what the FBI is looking at behind the scenes.
I would assume they are looking at way more video than the doorbell camera clip that we've been given.
You would hope so, that they potentially have some type of car in some of the video.
I know it was hard to get the video that you're seeing right now, but you have to think if they were able to get that, surely they've been able to get more that they're holding privately right now.
But it's all the inconsistencies, the force entry, no force entry, the this, the that, the we think it's a Berkeley girl wrong.
No, we think it's this, the ransom notes.
There's just a whole lot more confusion around the nuts and bolts of this case than if you were following the Idaho 4 case.
You just didn't know who did it.
And so now it's just a big mystery on who did this.
And there's just a lot of inconsistencies between FBI and Pima County on what actually they think is going on.
That's right.
And by the way, to Kevin's, Kevin, you're reporting that they believe it was a male.
That's something the presence of the Y chromosome is the reason that they know it's a male.
So this is just basic biology for folks.
I know there are some on in this country who don't remember, don't quite understand how those X and Y chromosomes work anymore.
But when you have a Y chromosome present, that means it's a male.
So it makes sense that that's one of the first things that they would be able to identify before they've even gotten to the point where they're digging in deeper and able to build up an entire entire profile of who it is or anything about race or a specific family or something like that.
Because of course you would see the chromosome there very quickly, which is something, of course, that unfortunately does not change regardless of if you change your pronouns online.
Your DNA, as it turns out, does say the same.
So words of the wise for those who are planning to undergo gender transition and commit crimes.
back here jack vasovic on with linden blake and kevin vasovic human events daily talk to you about it go get it and he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event and we're going to turn it around and make sure it's actually quite a good day amen All right, folks, Jack Sovik back live here, Human Events Daily.
We're covering the case of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
We're along with Lyndon Blake from Daily Wire, as well as Kevin Pisobic, who's boots on the ground in Tucson out front of Nancy Guthrie's home.
Kevin, last night, you were in contact with a new source, someone who's a member of the Sheriff's Department, though not the sheriff, directly.
Tell us about what you learned.
Sure.
So we had an exclusive interview with Sergeant Aaron Cross, and he revealed to us some statistics about the current force.
There's, I mean, hundreds of people there.
But one of the highlights is that almost half of this force is, you know, very new and only a few years of experience, the detective in particular.
And they have, you know, they're detective ones, as he told me.
So they're brand new, okay?
And even the senior chief or the one directed on to this case in particular only has about two years of experience in homicide cases.
And, you know, this is a unique case.
Granted, Pima County is so large.
So they're spread out.
They're overwhelmed.
So they're young, inexperienced, but they're working their butts off.
And they're putting in long hours away from the families, putting in overtime.
And so, you know, at the end of the day, it begs the question, like, you know, why rely on these new guys, these rookies, more or less, not to be, you know, use that term in a derogatory way, but why not use the assistance of federal law enforcement instead?
So, yeah, that's pretty much what he said.
And also, he wanted to highlight that, you know, this is a broad picture here that Pima County Sheriff's Department does not have any intention to move forward or get on board with this larger ICE anti-ICE movement that we're seeing nationwide in places like Minneapolis.
Well, that's quite, that's very interesting.
So we're, we're, we are, we're tracking.
TMZ says they have a new node.
I'm not personally, yeah, I'm very skeptical of those notes, put it that way.
And of course, we also saw President Trump coming out earlier today and saying that he's threatening the kidnappers or abductors with the death penalty if she is not returned.
So got the president of the United States weighing in yet again on this case, which has really captivated the nation.
We go back to Lyndon.
Lyndon, what Kevin is saying here about the force, you know, guys who are working hard, but young detectives, a young force.
Doesn't this then make the case that you would hope to see more and better cooperation between the Sheriff's Department and the FBI?
100%.
Tomorrow's Cooperation Crisis00:05:57
And the FBI guys that I talked to who used to be in the Bureau, they are very confused on why Pima County, one, had the cold shoulder, you know, when they first got into town.
And two, why at the top?
And again, we're talking at the command level, why there's so much lack of cooperation between the two.
Because again, you have Pima County, they know the area, but you have the FBI who knows how to move faster simply.
Like they can speed up this investigation.
They have the tools.
And it's been really hard for the FBI because when they got in to Catalina Foothills, the crime scene was cleared by Pima County.
So why Pima County cleared that before the FBI got a chance to look at it?
You know, it takes a little bit of time to make that initial contact.
But that was shocking to a lot of the FBI people that I've talked to.
But it's just like, you know, you have people defending Pima County doing their own thing, going to the Florida lab.
But then when you're sitting there and it's test day, like today, if the DNA from that glove would have gone straight to the FBI's lab, we wouldn't have this delay of this 24-hour waiting game of like, let's just sit and wait.
Like things would just speed up.
So that's something that's very frustrating to people on the federal side because they just want to help.
But again, the people on the ground, you know, it's not like I keep picturing my head, you know, that scene like an Anchorman 2 and like everyone like meet in the street to like fight.
Like when people say like FBI and Pima County, there's tension.
It's not on the ground where you have these investigators and these deputies like going out at the FBI.
It's more the command level.
The people on the ground are trying to get this solved, but they just keep running into these roadblocks because there's not this synergy at the top.
No, that's exactly right.
And Kevin, so you on the ground, look, I understand that you're, you know, you're working with some of the sheriff's deputies as well directly, but we do consistently hear this signal coming from the FBI side that they are really looking to have a higher level or higher degree of cooperation from Sheriff Nanos and they don't feel that they're getting it.
No, absolutely not, Jack.
And, you know, looking forward, so tomorrow, Lyndon talked about that buffer barrier, some hesitation of press releases, press statements.
So tomorrow, there will be resolutions brought to the Board of Supervisors for Tucson with Pima County Sheriff's Department directly, which regard certain sanctuary city-like policies.
Okay.
And I'm not sure if that will be voted on tomorrow, but it will be presented.
And so what that means is potentially, in essence, in the future, federal agents will need search warrants to even go into county properties to interview illegal immigrants or any detained peoples.
So they'll need to get the confidence of a judge first to conduct operations further and to even cooperate further, I guess, even if the department wants to work with them.
So wait, hold on a second.
So what you're saying is there's new resolutions that are going up.
These are anti-ICE measures coming out right there in Pima County.
Well, all of this is going on.
While the eyes of the world are on Pima County, the Board of Supervisors is putting up resolutions that are anti-ICE in terms of their design and intent.
But what you're saying is that you're getting indications that the way these things are written, they could actually hinder the relationship, the coordination between working a murder investigation between the federal level and the sheriff's level at the local on the ground level.
Is that what you're saying?
Oh, I'm saying much more than that, Jack.
I'm saying much more than that.
So they're not only not using the word sanctuary city, of course, that would be too, that would be too harsh.
But this also includes not just ICE, but Board of Patrol, FBI, HSI, or whoever else would like to inquire into any investigations going on.
And yes, so very much so.
This is quite the timing.
It's quite interesting timing that we're seeing this unfold.
So I will definitely keep you updated and posted on that.
That's a huge scoop.
Linden, can I get your reaction to hearing this?
I mean, at this point, it's shocking, but it's not because of what we've seen unfold the last two weeks.
Like, it, I mean, Kevin, it seems like it's just a circus down there.
So the fact that we're seeing this and this resolution and this, again, another avenue where Pima County and federal agents can be met at a crossroads, like it's not surprising.
But to have all this happen during this, I mean, the entire world is watching Pima County and it cannot be good for tourism.
It cannot be good for anyone that gets this job offer in Pima County right now.
I mean, you're, it's like one of those places where you're like, oh my goodness, I would not want to live there because what the heck is going on?
No, it's ridiculous.
And God forbid, you have family there.
God forbid you have your someone.
And of course, there's these stories about, oh, there's home invasions, there's burglaries.
I mean, imagine you live there or if you have loved ones or the elderly loved ones who live in the area and there's stories about burglaries and home invasions and all the rest.
And it's, and let's, let's not get away from, I think the, the reason that this has struck a, struck a chord for so many is that we've all got older relatives or older friends.
And, you know, you do have to think about their safety.
And this, this idea that someone could just disappear in the middle of the night is something that's shocking and horrifying.
Why Live There?00:00:43
Lyndon, where can people go to follow you and your program?
Okay, so yeah, we have Finding Nancy Guthrie.
It's on the Daily Wire platforms as well as Spotify and Apple.
And I will continue to post updates on my personal pages at Lyndon Blake.
Excellent.
And you, Kevin.
You can follow me at X and Instagram, Kevin Pasovic, and also sometimes Substack and also Real America's Voice.
And Jack, if I have an extra minute here, I wanted to add two things.
So they have light ordinance, okay, at nighttime.
So it has to be dark in an old community.
And also the street cameras, if they're looking for a getaway car, okay, like it's with me, ladies and gentlemen, as always.
