This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation.
and former Navy intelligence veteran. This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec. Christ is King! Tonight, President Trump escalating his threats against Iran's leadership as protesters flood the streets across the country. Trump posting,
Iran is looking at freedom, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help. A U.S. official tells ABC News the president will convene a meeting on Tuesday at the White House to discuss a possible response. The New York Times and Wall Street Journal reporting the president has already been briefed on a range of options for military strikes in Iran,
but is yet to make a final decision. You better not start shooting because we'll start shooting too. President Trump says if credit card companies don't lower their interest rates to 10% by next week, they'll be violating the law. On Friday, the president posted on TruSocial That he was calling for a one-year cap on rates, saying that the public has been ripped off by credit card companies. This morning,
federal prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell related to his testimony before a Senate committee about the multi-billion dollar renovation of two Federal Reserve buildings. Powell firing back overnight,
claiming the investigation is really about President Trump's pressure campaign to undermine the Fed's independence. And get Powell to lower interest rates. Tonight, the U.S. renewing their calls for Americans to leave Venezuela immediately. Just one week after the dramatic nighttime raid capturing the country's president,
Nicolas Maduro. The State Department alerting U.S. citizens to take precautions because of reports of groups of armed militias known as colectivos setting up roadblocks and searching vehicles for evidence of U.S. citizenship or support for the United States. Hey,
Do you have a good day?
Did anybody get that?
That's Nick Sauter.
I am so up as soon as he comes back in here.
Oh my God, he's done.
Nick Sauter, better leave Minnesota tonight.
Sorter, better leave Minnesota tonight.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition.
Human Events Daily.
We're here, live REAL America's Voice.
Today is january 12 2026, ANNO Dominie.
Well folks, just got back myself from Minneapolis.
Yes, I was there on the ground in Minneapolis, had the opportunity to take in some of the sites.
While we were there, I went, of course, to the area where all of this happened.
I went to the area where this deranged leftist attempted to murder an ICE officer.
We have to be clear about this.
She attempted to murder this ICE officer in cold blood while he was pursuing the conduct of his official duties.
He then took steps to defend himself.
The left has now tried in vain, I would say, to turn this into a cause celebre. So I went to that area where they were holding the Minneapolis Autonomous Zone. Came back with a lot of stories regarding that. Also went up just a couple of blocks north where they were holding George Floyd Square. George Floyd and that entire situation with Derek Chauvin,
who did not murder him. Remember, George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose. He ingested an extreme amount of fentanyl while he was being arrested, then when he said he couldn't breathe, if he was telling the truth, that was regarding the overdose that was taking place while he was being detained and then when he was put on the ground. Finally, of course,
also went in through the protesters and we got a clip that's gone quite viral Now, so we saw that over the weekend, and we're going to get into this latest from our field correspondent who was on the scene last night regarding leftists swarming and attacking a vehicle which had Nick Sortor and Cam Higby inside. I want to also mention,
Of course, what are we seeing in Iran?
A lot of news over the weekend.
Will the regime of Iran fall?
Will they?
Come apart at the seams?
But it now looks as though pro -regime rallies are being held across Iran.
You're seeing a lot of people in the streets chanting, saying they are for the ayatollah, saying that they don't want the regime to fall.
So again, both sides have a say here, and when we did our tales of regime change special over the Christmas break, this is one of the things we talked about.
We said there's a lot of people pushing for regime change in Iran, but the question we always have, What comes next?
You know someone who understood that?
It's my friend, Charlie Kirk.
So that is going to be today's question of the day, If you want to email us in, 1776 at humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com. Should the U.S. conduct regime change in Iran? Should the U.S. conduct regime change in Iran? Again,
1776 at humanevents.com. So, subpoenas for Jerome Powell, the Fed Chair. President Trump putting up, putting up here. We know that, of course, this was something that he brought up with Jerome Powell way back last year. Remember that hardhat video where the two of them were walking around the renovations of the new Federal Reserve Building in Washington, D.C.? Well, as it turns out, as it turns out,
Jerome Powell is now facing subpoenas. The Federal Reserve is facing subpoenas for this. This is something that could get Very hot if the Department of Justice comes in with an indictment of the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Stay locked in because we're covering this from directly on the ground. Human Events,

So I want to go in and guys, Let's play that video that we got uh, and we're gonna walk through this situation and then we're gonna go to someone who is there on the ground, our field correspondent.
This is direct, exclusive information, exclusive reporting from human events on the ground, Vinneapolis last night.
So the guy that you have to understand that you're going to be watching here is left wing streamer, far leftist Andrew Mercado, and I want to play a clip from him from earlier last week.
Let's play that clip first.
You know what i'm thinking of doing with my media guys, all the right-wing propagandists harassing the out of them.
I'm talking tracking where they're at and then just literally following them with a feed.
They can't fight, so they're gonna.
They'll have security.
but that's fine. Security will have to earn their paycheck that day. But I think we should just, any of these right-wing, like Nick Shirley's, we have to follow them around. Cam Higby,
Nick Shirley, and the whole Antifa roundtable journalist bulls**t. All of them. They need to not be able to move without the entire country in which people are against Trump know where they're at. Okay,
so that's Andrew Mercado, and he's claiming that he's going to threaten, he's making threats publicly against anyone who attended the right wing, as he calls it, Antifa roundtable. So, I was at that roundtable, Nick Sortor was at that roundtable.
Cam Higby was there.
Nick Shirley was there.
Savannah Hernandez was there.
Katie Davis Court was there.
Andy Ngo.
Julio Rosas was there.
So, so many of us were there in attendance at that, and many others as well, to be sure.
Now I want to play the video for you, our exclusive video from last night in Minneapolis of the same individual, Andrew Mercado.
So, this is a video of the damage that was done to Nick Sortor's car, the frozen ice that was put inside, and we're going to work on getting that exclusive video from Human Events up right now, but I want to go to the person who filmed that video.
Kevin Posobiec, right now, our field correspondent who is there in Minneapolis. Kevin, how are you? Doing great, Jack. It's icy,
but mostly peaceful down here. And yeah, yes, so that footage that we're getting up is something I recorded during my time there last night out front of the Federal Liberal building. And I really had no idea who this guy was. But really,
it almost doesn't matter because it seems that every protester out there now and the Antipa cells are increasingly becoming more aggressive. More aggravated, more volatile by the day. And I'm seeing reports even today, this afternoon, on Monday afternoon, that it's becoming more and more hot. But this guy specifically, Mercado, he seems to be one of the organizers or leaders,
As we can see, that he has threatened to call in the whole state against right -wing conservative media Journalists.
And, you know, that is Concerning.
There was also another Antifa -type guy named Jolly.
A big bearded fella that had riled up the crowd last night, and so yeah, I don't know, maybe this was an organized attack.
Uh, part of part of the situation was that there was a car blocking their exit, as Cam reported.
Um, very similar to how Renee Good blocked the ice agents then.
So, so Nick was trying to leave, but what had happened was that They blocked it and simultaneously blocked his exit, had three people get in front of the truck so they could spray-paint it, throw rocks and frozen ice water bottles at the windows and thank the Lord above that no one else was in the back of this truck at that time or else,
you know, it could have gotten way worse. Head drama or Lord knows what else could have happened here. But yeah, there's Jolly right there with the black and white scarf, the video I'm seeing on our left here. He's wearing that Hamas, that's the Hamas keffiyeh scarf that you see them wearing. So Kevin, just as you want to back up for folks who weren't there,
as people are watching this video, they're seeing Nick get away there. And I guess a woman tries to jump on his hood at that point. What had been happening leading up to him driving away? Right. So leading up to it,
I mean, I was back and forth along the line there. I mean, it was going on since before sunset. And the group of about 50 agitators or leftists from Minnesota or elsewhere,
they would continuously heckle everybody. And it escalated here. Before that, there were some scuffles, some flashbangs, some tear gas deployed. Most of the people really, even after they identified Cam, would leave us alone and be like, "Oh, okay." Like, you know, they're not being aggressive, they're not instigating anything. So they kind of just left them alone. But yeah, I was, you know,
Down the block and going here and there.
Um, getting other footage and and, like I reported, I wanted to just interview people uh, in in the spirit of you know Charlie, Even.
Um but, as we can see, as evidence has has long been thrown out the window.
Uh, these people are not friendly.
Uh, unless you're on their side, they'll give you these frozen water bottles and snacks and all kinds of food that you might need to stay fueled up out there.
So this was also after repeated announcements of an unlawful assembly.
There were three warnings, multiple times by police, and really every time a federal vehicle would leave or enter this facility, they would be harassed. One of the side mirrors was busted off an agent's vehicle at one point. And as you can see in the video there,
that guy, you said he was a woman. He's kind of a woman either way. Maybe he identifies as a woman. But they just feel like they can perform citizen's arrests and take matters into their own hands. They think they can become traffic guards. They can block traffic, Conduct traffic.
They can, what else can they do?
It's reckless lawlessness that we're seeing.
And, you know, That's part of the reason why I got involved is because I mean, these are, these are my friends, these are fellow patriots here, and you know we're praying that everything doesn't escalate further here.
But uh, there comes a point.
You know, everybody has their own niche or whatever, but when you're on the ground, it's like you band together and uh, so that's that's, that's Answers, that for you.
And here's the footage of afterwards.
So what they're also trying to do here is draw the foul.
And I recorded this the other day.
Um, after this, everybody is calling the police whatnot calling whoever they need to, saying that there has been a vehicular homicide and there's been this and that and broken legs and people are just dead everywhere.
But I continue to gather footage and evidence that that was indeed not the case and everybody is fine.
and everybody is fine.
Uh, thank god.
Thank God, no, none of us were injured.
No, none of us were injured.
I mean, I was costed and assaulted just yesterday with Real America's Voice on the ground at the protests during our live stream in a very similar fashion, but we didn't even have a vehicle at first.
And Jack, I got to say, they did honestly the same exact thing, but they didn't break any of our windows.
No, no, they certainly didn't.
Yeah, Dave Zier and I were- We're coming up on a quick break here, so let me just put a pin on that there and I want to play that video for everyone because I know that everyone's waiting so patiently to be able to see this incredible footage that you filmed last night, Kevin Posobiecfield, correspondent, Human Events Daily.
there on the ground in Minneapolis. Today, you know, they talk about influences. These are influences. And they're friends of mine, Jack Posobiec. Where's Jack? Jack? He's done a great job. All right, folks, Jack Posobiec. We are back here,
Human Events Daily in Washington. You can see the shot right there. We're working diligently to get that footage for you, and here it is. This Left-winger Andrew Mercado violently leading a mob, Attacking Cam Higby and Nick Sortor.
Let's play that now.
Yeah, you know, that's what they do, bro, they hate women, bro.
Incredible footage right there.
Clearly a number of crimes being committed.
Kevin Posobiec, You got that footage.
You were there on the ground, obtaining it. And I just want to say, do you think, now we've seen this guy Mercado be, you know, he's trying to walk it back online right now. He's obviously very, very, very worried about legal jeopardy. Do you believe that it's going to get hotter in Minneapolis or things starting to wind down? I think it's actually going to get hotter again. Yeah,
you could clearly see that Mercado has been A little startled by our response to his actions of threatening the lives of Nick and Cam and calling in for other people to behave as such. Yeah,
he's claiming he had PTSD. I think this guy, I guess he might be ex-military, but he served for like 10 minutes, just like Kamala From what I'm seeing on the ground today,
it looks like citizens are increasingly becoming emboldened to do these blockages of traffic on their own and harass ICE vehicles with banging on the windows. It's clearly continual. Kevin,
we have to move on here, but give people out your social media so people can follow what you're putting out and stay safe there, man. Sure, sure thing. Yeah, so it's X and Instagram and Substack now, Kevin Kosovic, and yeah, reporting live from the ground here, and don't let them tell you otherwise, like, people are interrupting ICE operations, and they're allowed to respond with the full effect of the law. Alright,
stay safe out there. I know you don't want to give Mom any more white hairs. Whoops, sorry Mom, I know you don't have any. All right, folks, I want to move to our next guest here, switching gears a little bit from one pack of communists in the United States to another group of communists overseas. I want to bring on now Venezuelan political refugee Franklin Camargo. Franklin,
thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for having me. So tell us, what is the situation that's right now on the ground in Venezuela? We've seen President Trump, of course, make these stunning moves just a couple of days ago. Where do things sit? Well, the first thing that you need to know is that Venezuelans are happy. They support what Trump just did. Over 80 percent of Venezuelans actually wanted Maduro out, and they tried everything that they could do. But of course,
it is a totalitarian regime that oppresses people and that doesn't allow any peaceful transfer of power. It is also important to highlight that Maduro committed crimes against U.S. citizens. He sent criminals to the U.S., So,
Venezuelans are extremely happy. They are happy in Venezuela. They are happy around the world. However, the regime is still in place. They are still in power. Trump is trying, of course, to control them, as he should, and he's trying to lead a political transition. But you still see some oppression in Venezuela, and people are not free to actually speak out or even celebrate openly that Maduro was removed. And now,
that removal at the same time, though, we're hearing stories that elements of the regime are still in place, as well as these colectivos, these individuals driving around, motorcycles cracking down, enforcing for the regime. Are we still seeing elements of that in the big cities? Yes,
and thank you for mentioning that, because colectivos in Venezuela is a great example of why we should have gun rights in the United States, and why we should promote and support and defend. Our Second Amendment rights. So in Venezuela you have no gun rights. If you as a private citizen want to defend yourself from criminals and from the regime and you want to defend your family,
you are not allowed to do it. However, the tyranny provided guns to those who supported the regime, the government. So what you have in Venezuela is that, of course, you need to fight the National Guard. You need to fight the army that are,
you know, these extremely corrupt Marxist groups that are with Maduro and the Maduro regime. But then you also need to find civilians who have access to guns only because they supported the government. So this is just a good example. In Venezuela, It shows the example of why we should support gun rights in the United States and why it's one of the most important, if not the most important, individual rights that we have right here. So yes, you still see that in Venezuela, you still witness that in Venezuela,
which is of course a huge problem. When you see these colectivos in Venezuela, and then we look at some of the videos out of Minneapolis of these Antifa groups, these far leftist groups, They really do share the same ideology and a lot of the same tactics, don't they? 100%. You know, something very common to hear is that the left in America is different. It's different from other countries, from other continents. It's not the same as what you saw in Venezuela,
they tell me all the time. The problem, frankly, is that you are traumatized. You grew up in a socialist regime that didn't allow to fight back, and I was accused of being a terrorist just for speaking out. So I'm traumatized. That's what some people here I can tell you, and I can tell your audience, they are the same. They share the same ideas, the same values. The only difference is in the U.S., you have a strong constitution that protects our individual rights,
and you also have a lot of patriotic Americans who are not willing to sacrifice or give up their freedoms. And that's actually the big and main difference about the left in America and other countries, is that here we do not To take away those rights. Where can people go to follow you and what are your coordinates? Yes, they can just find me on social media. If they type my name, Franklin Camargo,
they can find me on X, Instagram, or TikTok. Alright, God bless you for using your voice to speak out against the horrors of communism. We'll be right back here at Human Events Daily. And Jack, where is Jack? Where is Jack? Where is he? Jack, I want to see you. Great job, Jack. Thank you. What a job you do. You know,
we have an incredible thing. We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys who should be getting policies. We're honored once again to be sitting down with Secretary Besson, the Secretary of the Treasury. We're here at a manufacturing site in Minnesota, just outside of Minneapolis. Mr. Secretary, what brings you to Minnesota? Jack, good to be with you. Look,
I'm out here. The president's orders to ferret out waste, fraud, and abuse, and Minneapolis-St. Paul is ground zero for this terrible fraud that's been perpetrated on the American people and the people of Minnesota, and we are going to figure out what happened, why it happened, how it happened, who made it happen, and we're going to try to recover the money, and we're going to keep it from happening again. We're going to use the launching pad. Here in Minnesota,
to go out to the other states to figure out, you know, this is not an isolated incident, maybe the most egregious, but it is not isolated, and this fraud in the children's services and home health care, it's everywhere. So there was a number you threw out the other day, I saw Elon Musk shared it as well, $600 billion. Now that's, you think that's government-wide? Yep, so that's a general accounting office number, GAO. Between 300 and 600 billion,
that is between 1 and 2 percent of GDP. So President Trump this week asked for, he wants to flex up our military spending, 500 billion dollars. We could cover the military spending that we need, because all the neglect that happened under Biden, the forever wars that we've been in for 20 years. We can flex up our military spending if we could just stop the fraud. And so when you come down to Minneapolis specifically,
the Minnesota area, one of the big announcements that we've heard is that you're going to take a geographic targeting for any of the money that's being sent overseas from this area. How does that work with banning it from people who are either on assistance, they're on welfare, they're receiving it from taxpayer dollars? How does that work from the Treasury side? So, Jack, what we do at Treasury is we follow the money. We follow the money. And we put away the mafia, we put away the Mexican cartels,
and now we are going to put away these Somali fraudsters and everyone who did this. Not only do we put them away, we stop the flow and we have recoveries. I was just in a forum with a group of legislators, law enforcement, and people with real children, like special needs children's centers who have been affected by this, where the money stopped flowing. But what we are doing is we're doing three things. So we have a group called FinCEN,
the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. And we are going to examine four what are called money service businesses, storefronts that wire money out. They're outside the regulated banking system. And we are going to do a deep dive on the four of them that we think have sent the most money out of the country. We don't believe that they followed proper procedures. And they could be shut down. Managements could be held liable. We'll see what happens. Two,
we have something called a suspicious activity report. The threshold is $10,000. We're going to bring that way down. Same thing that we've done at the U.S.-Mexican border, Which is effectively stop the cartels from laundering money.
so we're going to stop that and then three for individuals who want to wire money out of the country They're going to have to tick a box, whether they are or not on public assistance, and then we are going to start pushing over the coming days or weeks that if you are on public assistance, you cannot wire money out of the country.
Because if you are wiring money out of the country and you're on public assistance, it means one of two things, either you're getting too much assistance that you don't need it for yourself and your family the American people are generous to people who are seeking asylum here.
We do not intend to support people in Mogadishu or to support terrorist organizations.
Or the second thing it could mean is you've stolen the money, which is what we are seeing that prevailed here in Minnesota.
Now, some of the money as well, and I happen to be able to listen in to part of the roundtable earlier that was held.
You mentioned that there are indications that some of this money laundering may have gone not only just to Mogadishu, Somalia, but actually to groups like Al-Shabaab, the youth.
I mean, this is the group that was conducting the Somali piracy off the coast of the Horn of Africa.
So, look.
we are in a continuing investigation. We can't talk about what's happened. But what I can tell you is the geographic locations in East Africa match closely to the group you just mentioned. And as someone who served in the Navy,
as someone who was in Navy Intelligence, you know, we would track that, obviously using the other side of the house on the Treasury sector. But I had no, it never even struck my mind that money could be actually become from the U.S. taxpayer and possibly going to a terrorist group overseas. Yeah, Look.
The amount of leakage in the system, and these cockroaches are very good at figuring out, like where the leaks are, how to how to exploit them.
And we're going to shut it down because there are two parts here.
There's the fraud, that the money that was stolen.
How is the money stolen?
Who stole the money?
We've got to stop that.
But then we also have to figure out just this funnel overseas.
And where's all that going?
Part of it has gone to buy expensive cars, real estate in Kenya and Middle East, but part of it highly likely went to Al Shabbat and other terrorist groups.
So could you imagine money that was meant for a Minneapolis or St. Paul daycare center is actually buying machine guns back overseas?
or for these kids with special needs, and you spoke to a number of them today, kids who absolutely do need some assistance, and we as a country have always been willing to do so, but unfortunately, when you have people who come from cultures who don't respect that level of honor, who don't respect those customs or have different customs and cultures of their own, then they have no qualms whatsoever about taking that assistance. Chris Ruppo said in the round table today,
1% of the people are committing 90% of the fraud, and those are the local Somalis. Now, we're also here in Minneapolis. We're on the sidelines of this. I've just come from the federal building as well. Are you going to stop by there at all? I know that obviously you work with some of the organizations involving in immigration. That's the other big thing that's going on right now. Ice, CBP, everyone basically out of the federal building.
They're they're under constant harassment right now.
I saw with my own eyes these agitators.
Creating human blockades in the street.
They're creating vehicular blockades all throughout the city while ICE conducts these operations.
We also know that there's funding for many of these organizations.
Is Treasury able to come in, Using these same powers to look at the funding of these leftist organizations that are behind this Jack That?
That is what we have started a few months ago.
We are going to again.
What we do is we follow the money and All of these agitators who are causing violence night after night, Portland, Minneapolis, The other locations.
Someone is funding them the when they have lasers they blind DHS officers with when they hold up all the same umbrellas.
Someone bought those umbrellas and that there there is a money trail and we are going to follow it.
So Treasury, through Fincen, can do that.
IRS has a badass group called criminal investigators.
Anybody watching your show who wants to join?
We are going to try to add 50 percent the more investigators and they're great because they can look at financial fraud and they carry guns.
They go out in the field and they make arrests.
And it was IRS criminal investigators who got to the initial fraud here, because state of Minnesota wasn't doing it.
The corrupt Tim Waltz wasn't doing it, he was turning a blind eye.
Well, and that's another question I would actually add back on the fraud perspective, because you know, when we hear a lot of these organizations that are behind this, They probably are working with other people to fill out the paperwork.
So potentially that could lead you to non -profits, law firms, those who potentially, or potentially even public officials themselves, who have been giving or supposed to be checking whether or not these funds are being used fraudulently or not. Yet we see citizen journalists are now going out finding these daycares that have no children and all these organizations that clearly are having,
they have a storefront, they have a sign, which may or may not be spelled properly. And they're clearly not doing what they're supposed to be doing. Could public officials also come up here? We'll see. But Jack,
what's clear to me is I've been coming out to Minnesota for 40 years and Minnesota Nice has been jujitsu'd on them and people have either been clubbed into submission or they didn't want to say anything and someone in the roundtable put it really well. The payments have been turned into business,
and it is a business. It is a business. They have people who teach them how to form LLCs. They teach them. Maybe they don't tell them be corrupt,
but it is like handing a deranged person a gun. You are showing them how to do it, and they are doing it. Relief and aid is now being turned into these businesses that just skim and skim and skim. And as we've seen, Much of it ends up back in Democratic coffers, whether it's here, we'll see if it's elsewhere.
And we're here on human events.
We've been tracking the feeding our families.
Yeah, I think that's a good point.
say you know at least minnesota nice played out in terms of that one because the juror actually reported it rather than taking the money jack you want to hear the best part of that story is that we we had the the gentleman the the older gentleman who was out doing the door knocks on the centers with the citizen journalists right that he he had that woman had worked for him She tried to steal $30 ,000 from him a month into working for him,
and she just got a slap on the wrist. She's committed three felonies, hasn't been in jail. But the best part of her trying to bribe the juror, She was given $200,000 to bribe the juror.
She stole the money and only tried to give the juror $100,000.
So she was skimming the bribe money from the middle, saying, I'm going to take that as a finder's fee.
When you've got a culture of corruption, it's corrupt all around.
Oh, my gosh.
But what we're going to do, Treasury is going to start a whistleblower program.
So we're going to try to get people to turn on each other.
So we will pay you to report your fellow criminals.
So it's worked very well.
If you tried to submit this script to Hollywood, and the Coen Brothers, you know, famous Fargo movie of the money, you know, they stashed out in the cornfield.
I was thinking about that when we were driving out here in the snow, that I just, I couldn't, they would not accept it at all.
Secretary Best.
I want to say thank you for your time today. Thank you for your efforts. Any final thoughts you want to leave with our audience? I said in the meeting today, it's a land of 10,000 lakes and there's one big cesspool in St. Paul, Minneapolis. We're going to clean it up and we are going to make recoveries for the American people, the people of Minnesota, And we're going to make sure the people who get their money need it.
Secretary Besson, thank you so much.
Good to see you.
You too.
All right, folks, Jack Posobiec, we're back here.
That was our sit -down interview with Secretary of Treasury Scott Besson.
honored to have him once again on our program.
And I think the big exclusive coming out of there for the Human Events audience and the news that he's breaking for everyone out there, that when we asked him about those groups, these anti-ice groups, which are obviously just the next evolution of Antifa, if we asked him what could be done there, he said definitively the Department of the Treasury will be looking into those groups and will be focusing on following.
the money.
So they are now going to be under financial investigation.
ICE Watch, Ice Watch Minneapolis, all these various anti-ice groups that are out there that are training people. By the way, they call themselves Ice Watch. They use this euphemistic kind of phrase. The same way that Antifa is a euphemistic phrase. "Oh, we're just anti-fascism. We're just watching ice." No, you're not, because when you actually pull up the training materials, what does it say? It says disrupt operations, try to de-arrest. So the de-arrest tactic is when they swarm either an individual or a car and try to get them to stop the arrest,
Or they walk in there and they say, they try to block vehicles, just like this crazed Agitator was actually doing up there in Minneapolis.
That started all of this.
They trained them to do this.
This is not a protest group.
This is not First Amendment activity, and over the weekend, human events caught multiple instances of violence and rioting being done.
This is clearly just Antifa under their latest name, and Secretary of Treasury, Scott Besant, confirming for the first time ever to human events that they will be placed under investigation.
Very excited now.
Wanted to bring on Matt Schlapp, by the way, of CPAC.
He's joining us at the American Conservative Union.
Matt, how are you? Great to be with you, Jack. What a great conversation with Secretary Bess, and I could have listened to that all day. Thank you. Thank you. No, and I could have picked his brain even more all day talking about Minneapolis, the fraud, Somalis, and then going into investigating Antifa. I mean, isn't it so great now that we have an administration that's actually looking into the things that are directly focused on and directly affecting so many Americans? Yeah,
so let me just give people a perspective. So Mercy, my wife Mercy and I, we met working for President Bush. And, you know, since Reagan, there was this idea that we knew something was wrong with the federal government, But we didn't quite know how to get rid of the stink.
And what Republicans did when they got positions in past administrations is they knew that most of the federal grant money would be used for bad purposes and they did everything they could to get the accounts to at least be lower levels so that they would have to give less like stinky grants out.
And uh, and this was the strategy.
Over time it was a terrible strategy.
People knew that NGOS and other non -profits were using money in ways that was illegal or immoral or just disgusting.
And it just got worse and worse.
The IGs in many of these departments became politicized, as the FBI became politicized, and you know it's going to take somebody of Scott Besson's character to oversee the overhaul and this is going to take some time and let me tell you we're going to find out some things that will,
I don't know what's their euphemism, that will curl our hair because this I think is the tip of the iceberg. I think it's exactly right. Now, Matt, I wanted to talk about this because you've got this new report out,
this ranking the CPAC is doing of freedom of speech country by country, and what better time for you guys to be putting this out because we've just seen the news that the EU and potentially even Canada are now looking to block X because they don't like what Grok is doing. I'm not sure if you saw that headline this morning. Yeah,
I know this is a big problem. The Western European democracies with the direction of Brussels are becoming enemies to freedom, not just when it comes to speech, But on all kinds of topics, and we've witnessed what the Uk is doing in the crackdown of social media posts on Facebook and other places.
Canada is a real surprise to some people but uh, you know, we have a one of the case studies we looked at as a father who was prosecuted for not accepting his child's gender transition.
Uh, you know, surgeries and such think about that.
A father can go to jail for advocating traditional idea that gender comes in two forms to the child.
Um, this is how insane things are getting.
Uh, most of the country.
Interestingly, Jack, that you've traveled with us overseas, where we have CPACs, have a pretty good track record.
I mean, there are two undeniable themes to where it's the worst.
Even worse than western Europe, and that's it obviously.
Under radicalized Islamic regimes and communist regimes uh, places like South Korea, where a pastor was jailed for keeping his church open uh, during Covid uh, they considered that political speech an illegal.
You know hate, So, you know, America gets 100 in our rankings, and, you know, we're far from perfect, so maybe 100 is too generous, but, like, compared to the rest of the world, this idea of free speech that our founders had, it is really a disappearing right. Oh, It certainly is.
I'm looking now.
So Malaysia has blocked not all of X, but has blocked GROK.
We're seeing that the EU and their Digital Services Act which is this new really just complete taking control of X and possible ban that's coming up.
Uh, Ursula Von Der Leyen, the head of the EU, saying that and and, by the way, they're saying this because their claim, apparently they're claiming that GROK has because it has the ability to manipulate images, just like I don't know.
Pretty much all of these new AI features do.
But because people have been using GROK to be able to turn pictures of people into pictures of bikinis, they're now claiming that that breaks their deepfakes law, and therefore they can ban all of X. And I'm not joking, because this is Ursula. I'm looking at Ursula von der Leyen,
the European Commission. Is that what they're really caring about or they're actually caring about controlling speech in these countries? No, look, AI is a brave new world. I think that it's fair for countries to try to figure out what the regulatory structure should be. America is going to have to figure that out, too. I think that that is a brave new world. Political speech ain't too new and it's not too brave to try to crack down on those people who criticize you. Look,
John Adams tried to do that in America.
I think it was the Alien And Sedition Acts for journalists who he said were lying about him, and that proved to be very unpopular and, I think, unconstitutional at the time.
Politicians always want to have, you know, favorable media coverage and you know, even in Hungary, and all the leftists say oh, Viktor Orban, he's a fascist he, I love it, Jack.
When they say he rigs his elections, I always say I didn't think an election could be rigged, but he doesn't rig his elections and he doesn't rig the communication structure within his society.
What he did do is allow other conservative forms of media to uh, to grow and blossom, and about 50 of the news outlets in Hungary are thus so, but most of all the other travels I do throughout Europe.
Um you, you can count the conservative outlets on one hand, and you know 80 90 percent of the outlets are Brussels focused or globalist.
Are China uh, funded?
Uh, you know they're hardcore leftist.
And um, and look, I think the biggest problem in Europe is that they know That the people in these countries, certainly in Central and Eastern Europe, are much more MAGA-focused than they are to these globalists, and it threatens the entire order if that mixes up the European Parliament, and we continue to have more victories like we've had in Poland, in Italy,
the success we've had in Hungary, and these other countries. Big companies and big regulators are going to try to stop it. And of course, I'm just noticing, by the way, as I was sort of pulling some of the headlines on this, that Poland's president, Nawrocki, came out and says that he does not support the EU law and he will be working to stop implementation of that, the Digital Services Act,
In Poland.
So, once again, just shows the importance of CPAC, shows the importance of supporting conservative candidates, ideas which we used to think weren't a partisan issue, like freedom of speech, the ability to share your information on it.
By the way, I was thinking about this as you were talking.
So they're talking about banning X over the image manipulation feature and I just want to know, so is the EU banning all AI apps that have image manipulation?
Are they banning Photoshop?
Are they banning like every single program that anyone could use?
Oh, they're not.
So they're really just selectively And because they clearly want to.
Matt, tell everybody where they can go to get information on this report and, of course, to find out the latest on CPAC. Go to cpac.org. Our big national convention is going to be in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this year at the end of March. Jack, you literally can pack your bikini for CPAC this year. It's usually freezing cold in Washington, D.C. And if you have to use a filter to enhance that photo, we believe in freedom. Oh, no, no filters needed, Matt. No filters needed. No,
no. I'm going to be I'm going to be showing up in my speedo just for you, Matt. You know, I remember. Oh, my. I remember Steve Hayes making a prediction about wearing a speedo if Trump ever won the presidency. I don't ever think he held to that. Well,
