Breaking news out of India.
A devastating plane crashed.
242 people on board.
That plane was bound for London, and it crashed shortly after takeoff today.
According to the police commissioner in India, it appears there are no survivors.
Trump says he plans to phase out FEMA, shifting Another night with a curfew in effect in downtown Los Angeles as protests against the Trump administration immigration raids now enter a seventh day.
Local leaders argue the president's decision to deploy the military is igniting fears and surging tensions.
Federal officials expect another 2,000 Guard troops will mobilize today, joining 2,000 already deployed and about 700 Marines.
The L.A. protests are inspiring similar demonstrations in other cities like New York, Seattle and Minneapolis.
Can you provide an update on Iran?
We're hearing reports that U.S. personnel are being moved out of the region within striking distance.
Well, they are being moved out because it could be a dangerous place.
Earlier this week, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran had not been cooperating with the organization and that the agency could not certify Iran's program as peaceful.
How imminent is an Israeli strike on Iran?
Well, I don't want to say imminent, but it looks like it's something that could very well happen.
Look, it's very simple, not complicated.
Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition, Human Events Daily here live, Washington, D.C. Today is June 12th, 2025.
Anno, Dominic, two days away.
From the Army's 250th birthday parade here in Washington, D.C. But is the U.S. military being drawn into another war overseas?
Perhaps another proxy war, just like the war in Ukraine is a proxy war against Russia.
Would this be backing for a proxy war against Russia?
And there's been a number of reports now coming out, the U.S. evacuating key personnel, key establishments across the Middle East, the U.S. coming out and saying that a strike is potentially imminent from Israel on Iran, which, of course, the United States would ultimately have to pay the bill for.
And the United States would certainly be left on the hook.
For the bill regarding a war with Iran.
All of this takes place as negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are continuing.
And in fact, Steve Witkoff is going to be meeting with the Iranians this Sunday, as far as we know.
So the question is, what's driving this?
If we're having negotiations, have the negotiations.
Let Witkoff cook.
Let him do the job that President Trump assigned to him.
When President Trump went to those rallies in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and I was there with him in all three of those states last year, he campaigned against new wars.
He campaigned as the peace president, a president whose legacy would be world peace, a president who understood that the true value of America was the American We're
not removing people.
We're helping these wayward migrants Find their way home.
And that's been the issue all along.
They're lost strangers in a strange land.
We're going to help them get home.
It's the Christian thing to do.
They ended up here for a variety of reasons.
We're not going to go into all that.
But what we're going to do is get them a plane ticket, maybe even pay for the flight themselves, put them on that plane, and get them right back where they belong.
Be right back.
Jack was over.
Jack was over.
To understand what America First truly means.
Welcome to the second American Revolution.
Welcome to the second American Revolution.
All right, folks, Jack Posobiec here, back live, Human Events Daily, Real America's Voice.
Also want to bring in the Salem Radio Network now.
With our three Charlie Kirk show, and we've got a very special treat for everyone here.
We have the, well, it's an interesting day today because there's some news, but we have right now the Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice, Aaron Reitz, who's joining us, but he's got a little bit of news today regarding that very title.
Aaron, thanks so much for joining us.
Thanks for having me, Jack.
All right, so break it down for us.
You announced this a little bit earlier today.
What's the news?
Yeah, so last night I submitted my resignation to the President of the United States and the Attorney General in my position as Assistant Attorney General of the Office of Legal Policy.
At the Justice Department, but it's not because I'm in retreat or moving on to something else that's less significant for our country, but I'm stepping out today, effective today, and announcing my candidacy as the next Texas Attorney General of Texas to succeed Ken Paxson.
Well, this is huge.
Walk me through this a little bit because there's a bit of musical chairs going on here because Ken Paxton is the current Attorney General of Texas, but he is expected to run in primary as the Senate candidate against John Cornyn.
Yeah.
No, that's exactly right.
Look, Ken Paxton has been our great Attorney General for over a decade in Texas.
And he's decided to throw his hat into the ring to primary John Cornyn for the United States Senate, representing 31 million Texans, which provides Texans with a unique opportunity that they haven't had in over a decade to introduce or elect a new Texas AG.
And I think that when Texans are looking at Who ought to carry on Ken Paxson's legacy?
It's somebody who, like me, the president described as a true MAGA attorney and a warrior for the Constitution.
And the reason why he called me those things when he brought me to the Justice Department And folks want to know, folks in Texas want to know, okay, if Ken Paxson is going to vacate the AGC, we want to make sure that we can turn the keys over to somebody who can handle an office with that kind of horsepower.
And I think when folks look at my background, the litigation, lawsuits, appeals, Defenses, investigations on all of the issues that Texans care about from election integrity, border security, woke corporations, transing of the kids, environmental overreach.
I have borne battle scars on all of those issues.
And so when Texans are looking for somebody that they can trust, somebody that they can say, okay, this guy needs to be our next attorney general to continue pressing in, pressing hard on the gas that Ken Paxton, on the course that he's put us on.
Aaron Reitz is the guy.
And if you want to know more about me, your viewers can go to AaronReitz.com, A-A-R-O-N-R-E-I-T-Z.com.
Well, Aaron, this is huge news.
Congratulations on the candidacy.
I have to ask you, first and foremost, though, when it comes to the issue, illegal immigration.
Obviously, this is a huge issue for Texas.
It's an issue where A.G. Paxton has stood in the breach, and it's an issue.
That is really uniting, I think, a lot of Americans in the face of all of these riots that we've been seeing kicked off in LA, then it spread to New York, it spread to Philadelphia, and in fact, just last night, we saw Dallas and San Antonio had a level of violent riots as well.
So, response to the riots in particular, and then a general response on illegal immigration in this issue.
Yeah, look, it's a great question, and it's an important issue.
A lot of times people think that the scenes that we've seen in Los Angeles couldn't possibly be happening in Texas.
But as you rightly said, and folks can just do an image search for the riots that are happening in Texas's major cities, they'd be shocked to see that the roots
You need an attorney general who is going to help crack down on that sort of thing, who's going to make sure that the ideologies, as well as the funding that provides the resources for these rioters.
Doesn't take root in Texas.
And once we identify them, we prosecute them, we investigate them, we expose them, we get them out of the state.
On the question more generally, though, of illegal immigration, I'm with you during your opening monologue.
I'd like to see mass repatriation of millions and millions and millions of illegal aliens that have been invading our country, in particular over the past four years, but it's been a problem for decades.
And so I love to see what this administration The Texas Attorney General plays a critical role in this.
And I will tell you, Jack, at the very beginning of the Biden administration, if it's any reflection of the kind of AGLB on the issue of immigration, Ken Paxton and I partnered together for three years, and out of the nearly 50 lawsuits that I brought with him during my time in the Texas AG's office, nearly 20 of those 50 were on immigration and border security.
We litigated on the abuse of the parole system, on abuse of the asylum system, cancelling of border wall contracts, sanctuary cities, and the list just keeps going on and on and on.
I've been at the front line.
I've seen all kinds of fighting illegal immigration at the Texas AG's office before, alongside Senator Cruz.
And my commitment to Texans moving forward is to continue to partner with this Trump administration to absolutely get our country and our sovereignty and our border back under control.
And you don't just have to take my word for it.
Texans just have to look at my record, which is in greater detail at my website, AaronWrites.com.
Aaron, yesterday we had a long discussion about With the Congressman on Hipsy regarding the cartels and this cartel activity.
Obviously, as Attorney General, this is something that we know that the cartels operate on both sides of the border.
What is your policy on that?
How would you look to crack down on these cartels, the rat lines, the human trafficking, the fentanyl, which we know, even as great as President Trump has done, a lot of this is still going on.
Yeah, no question.
I mean, you use a critical term, Jack, on having control of both sides of the border.
I think a lot of Americans, we hear this term, the cartels have operational control of the border, and they don't really fully visualize what that means.
What that means is that ingress and egress in and out of the country, whether you are moving for commercial purposes, you know, quote-unquote legitimate commercial purposes, or illicit purposes, drug trafficking, human trafficking, sex trafficking, it means that you don't come in.
And you don't come out with the either express or implied permission of the cartels.
Now these cartels have spread, their nodes have spread into all of the major cities of Texas.
So what the Attorney General can do is partner with aligned sheriff departments and police departments to launch extremely invasive investigations into where these cartel cells are taking root.
And then assist the local law enforcement in prosecuting these crimes.
The Attorney General also has tremendous civil discretion to investigate these nonprofits that are aiding and abetting the illegal invasion of our country.
You know, all these nicely named nonprofits that are presenting themselves as just innocuous and humanitarian.
These organizations are taking Soros and Soros-adjacent money to assist the invasion of millions of illegal aliens, and they want to pat themselves on the back for being forces of good, when in reality, they're forces for evil.
And you need an attorney general who knows what he's doing, who can take the weapons of legitimate statutes of law and common law to investigate them and root them out and hold them to justice.
Exactly.
Aaron writes, we're just about out of time.
Tell people where they can go to follow you and to get more information as you continue this quest to make Texas great again.
Thank you, Jack.
I think you ought to go to my website first and foremost, aaronwrites.com, aaronwrites.com.
Hit that contribute button because we've got to amass the resources to fight this war that we're in.
All right, folks.
Aaron writes, repatriate.

I love it.
I love it.

All right, folks, we put out earlier today on X the question, essentially, should the U.S. get involved in another war in the Middle East?
Should the U.S. back military action against Iran?
1776 at humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com.
And I'll just read you some of the ones that we got.
I have to jump to this one that came in from Devin.
It just really struck me.
He said, on the topic of Iran, one of my first girlfriend's father fled Iran when the Ayatollah took over.
Her grandfather was close with the Shah, and because of that, the Ayatollah kidnapped his children, so my girlfriend's father and uncles.
They were tortured for information, shot in the abdomen, and dumped in an alley to die.
Three of them survived and fled Germany to the U.S. The Ayatollah and radical Islam are the worst of the worst, but we must focus on our homeland instead of going to war.
The only people who will benefit from a war with Iran are BlackRock and the military-industrial complex, definitely not the American people.
I also got an email from Lance in Texas.
President Trump was elected twice on a mandate to force out the neocon war hawks that had subjected Americans to endless war and interventionism.
Provoking a war with Iran would be a betrayal of that mandate.
We cannot allow the political goals of other regions to drag us into a conflict that will bring continued instability to the world and more heartbreak at home.
I can tell you that a major reason for Gen Z's dramatic shift to the right was that we sought a return to the peace of President Trump's first term.
"Blessed are the peacemakers," and he says he's a pro-Trump, Gen Z conservative.
Here's an email from Mike.
I'm totally against the U.S. being involved or backing other countries in efforts against war on Iran.
If these countries want war with Iran, they can have it without our assistance.
If Trump decides to go to war with Iran, he will lose my support, as does J.D. Here's an email from Nick.
No intervention in Iran.
All caps.
I am a Republican and do not support any sort of intervention.
People have been claiming Iran is about to have a bomb for over 30 years.
Why do we believe them at this point?
And that's true, by the way.
The intelligence community has continually assessed that Iran has not restarted their weapons of mass destruction program.
Here's another email.
Hey Jack, this is from Dean.
I'm a Trump supporter since the escalator.
No one in the Banga movement wants war with Iran.
That's why Trump himself sidestepped the Israelis and focused on a deal with Iran.
However, Iran has to accept Trump's olive branch and give up its uranium enrichment.
This helps the Middle East have a sense of peace.
Trump is trying.
The Iranians should help him in his bid to bring peace, not waste time.
We have is that the peace talks will be continuing this weekend.
Steve Witkoff will be meeting as it is planning to meet with Iran this Sunday and has also put out statements and there's reports now coming out that Witkoff has stated that there would be mass casualties to the U.S. and the U.S. currently has 40 to 50,000 troops and personnel assigned throughout the Middle East and that there would be mass casualties in any response.
From Iran to retaliate on these strikes, whether by U.S. or a U.S. proxy in the region.
Look, folks, that's what I've been saying.
I said this on Charlie Kirk's show earlier in hour one, that the U.S. is going to be on the hook for the bill of this, whether we like it or not.
That's why I keep saying, back Whitcoff, back the negotiations, let the man cook.
After all, this is what President Trump was elected for.
Peace is the prize.
You want a legacy of peace rather than a legacy of war.
be right back.
Jack.
So.
Jack, where is Jack?
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you.
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys who'll be getting publicity.
All right, folks, Jack Posobiec, here we are back.
Human Events Daily, Washington, D.C. But, of course, we're talking about the events of California and how all of this anti-ice, rioting, It has descended into abject violence, chaos.
I'm not going to call it anarchy, though, because it's anarcho-tyranny.
It's anarcho-tyranny because this is a tactic.
It is a destabilization tactic used to shake the foundations of our civilization and shake the foundations of the state of California, a state which, by the way, is a fantastic and has been for years and centuries, an incredible place.
To live.
It has only been through recent years and these destabilizations that have made it what it is today.
New author is out with a book called Failed State, all about California and these issues.
His name is Chris Moritz, and he joins us now.
Chris, how are you?
Chris Moritz: Great, Jack.
Pleasure to be here.
Chris, tell me about the book and how it relates to what we're seeing playing out across the streets of L.A. and so many other cities.
I can't imagine.
Now, by the way, I do have to ask the question, did you organize these riots as a way for marketing of your new book?
You know, no comment.
But we do share a publisher, folks.
Full disclosure.
The thing about these riots is that it really comes as no surprise to any of us living here, at least any of us who have been paying attention while living here, that this has boiled over in the manner that it has.
In fact, I think we should be almost kind of blessed that it's been as contained as it has been.
We owe Donald Trump a great deal of thanks for that.
California has been on a, I would say, a path to suicide, civilizational suicide, for at least a decade, arguably longer.
And we have arrived at a point where, in California, immigration law is white supremacy and borders are violence.
And indeed, The people of California and the people of Los Angeles are actually hostages of this one-party regime.
And I consider the action by ICE to be welcomed as liberators.
It's a rescue operation.
But I think it's also a crystallizing moment to expose not just underlying problems in California or Los Angeles, but really What the future of America could look like if, for instance, the Biden lawlessness of the border had continued.
I think that is the fate that we would have all been suffering for.
And by the way, as you're writing this, we have some breaking news that's going on right now.
and I'm gonna do a little production on the fly if you can get this.
I'm seeing that one of these senators People are saying that it looks like he may have even assaulted some of the federal agents as he was trying to make his way towards the secretary, and obviously they were protective.
He was handcuffed.
I'm seeing in some of these idiot videos.
He was detained.
I don't know if he's been fully arrested, etc.
But this is a huge, not just an endorsing of political violence, but actually a use.
Guys, do we have this video?
Can we play this video really quick?
You're seeing it there.
And I'm seeing some of this the first time.
So, Secretary Noem.
And for folks listening on the radio, this is breaking.
This just happened within the last 10 minutes.
I'm just seeing it on Twitter, X, where Secretary Noem was giving a press conference in the Los Angeles area about what's going on.
And here you have a Democrat leader who is using political violence against our federal officials.
And he is brought out, Chris, And you write about this in your book, Failed State, how we've gotten to this place where how can you have elected officials acting in such a manner?
Well, I think that that's an amazing, amazing image.
I think, though, the visceral response from people like the senator and others, as we've been seeing over the last few days, this extreme response is not only indicative of a state that has been In a kind of de facto,
I would say, rebellion against the United States and executing that rebellion through lawfare and simply rejecting U.S. federal laws with respect to immigration,
this is because The Democratic Party in California has been able to achieve its political hegemony and create the one-party state in which 75% of the state legislature is held by a single party, and we haven't had a Republican statewide official elected since Arnold Schwarzenegger.
That was, I think, 2006.
This has all happened because sometime in the'90s, really, in response to Pete Wilson and some ballot initiatives that tried to rein in on welfare benefits for illegal aliens, there was a kind of counteract to that that put in place policies,
It's in California, it's 27%.
There are at least 2 million illegal aliens in the state too.
And as the foreign-born population has risen since the '90s, California has also in parallel become a concentrated political economy.
So, in other words, the power that Sacramento has consolidated is very significantly tied to demographic engineering.
Folks, we're showing new footage here as well.
Chris Moritz is our guest.
He's the author of Failed State, all about California, the Twilight of Empire, and talking about how California has descended into chaos.
And it's the same chaos that we've seen play out across the streets.
But here you have another example of this chaos where a Democrat senator has rushed Secretary Kristi Noem.
I don't have much more information on this.
We're working to get more information.
She appears to be safe, but he was arrested.
He was He's certainly handcuffed when we see that video.
And this is theater, by the way.
This is classic political theater.
He'll use this the same way Gavin Newsom.
I was surprised it wasn't Gavin Newsom, by the way, trying to rush this because, you know, he's been daring the.
These are theater kids.
These are theater kids who are playing emotional drama, and he'll use this to raise funds, I'm sure, and all the rest of it.
And meanwhile, the actual Angelenos, and as you say, the Californians who are living under this occupation force, don't ever have anyone that's coming to help them out, until now at least, because you've got these ridiculous theater kids and morons like this.
This individual who are actually in elected office in California.
Yeah, that's so well put, Jack.
Look, the reality for ordinary people in the state of California is that in the 1990s, crime was very violent, especially in Los Angeles, just historically violent.
But it was concentrated in certain You know, small areas, neighborhoods, right?
In South LA and whatnot.
Today, it may not be quite as violent, but the violence is directed outwards to all of us all the time.
And this is what I was...
So the reason I wrote this book was because in 2023, on one weekend, my family home was home invaded style, burglarized, meaning I was in the house at the time, but didn't encounter the burglar, but nevertheless,
And when he got out in 2017, President Trump's administration at that time had him immediately deported to El Salvador.
Well, during the Biden invasion, he came back into the country.
Back to LA and went on a crime spree committing dozens of these types of hot prowl burglaries or home invasion style burglaries all over Southern California.
And in Los Angeles County, he was never even brought up on charges.
Where I live in Santa Monica, the detective assigned to the case never even called me to interview me.
So it wasn't until he started committing these crimes up to the north in Ventura County that he was actually apprehended.
And when he was arrested at a stoplight, he had on his person a stolen loaded gun, body armor, knives, much of the stolen property, and other paraphernalia.
When he was brought into interrogation, the lead detective on the case came up to him and said, "Look, we know you had a gun on you.
Thanks for not opening fire on us." And he said, "Well, don't thank me because if my wife and kid had not been in the backseat of the vehicle at the time, I was planning on opening fire and murdering you because I'm never going back to jail." Well, this guy got sentenced to only two years, probably will serve less, in state prison and a $300 fine.
And as I learned about all of this, I was just so beyond shocked.
I mean, I knew it was bad, but could it have been that bad?
And I started talking to law enforcement from, you know, the lowest level beat cop up to Tom Homan.
And on the prosecution side, you know, junior prosecutors up to Steve Cooley, the former district attorney of Los Angeles.
And what emerged from these interviews was a picture of California that was in such disarray.
This story, as harrowing as this is, we're just about out of time in this segment.
I want people to go and read the full thing to find more of it.
The book is Failed State, California, The Twilight of Empire.
Go follow Chris Moritz.
Chris, thank you so much for joining us today.
All right, Phil.
All right.
All right.
All right, folks, I've got a special guest here at Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec.
First time, first time, first time that she's, well, I suppose not the first time ever appeared on the program, but certainly the first time like this.
Folks, it's Lori Posobiec, my mom, and she is here because she has an op-ed up at humanevents.com that is currently number one on humanevents.com.
It is the top article on the site at the moment.
And so, Mom, Lori, you wrote a story all about the unfortunate situation of getting swatted a couple years ago on Christmas, and they've caught the swatter, at least, or one of the two, at least, at this point.
But tell me about the piece.
And also, hi, Mom.
Hi.
Thanks for having me on.
Yeah, we just have been kind of living with this for a year and a half now.
But since the person was actually pled guilty, we knew his trial was coming up.
We had been informed that he had been caught.
Dad wanted to go to the trial, by the way.
Dad was all like, I'm going down there.
I'm getting in his face.
I didn't need to do that, but he did.
So yeah, now that it was done, I said, well, I think now would be a good time to just kind of write our experiences of it.
Yeah, so it was kind of, it could have been scarier just if you read the piece, it was like, So you saw the police rolling up?
Yeah.
We haven't really told this story publicly.
I thought they were going to the neighbor's house.
I'm like, "Oh, what's going on with the neighbors?" And then he rolls the window down and he says, "Did you come out of that house right there?" I'm like, "Yeah." And they proceeded to tell me what was going on.
And there had been some recent swattings of Mostly conservative media.
Recently, I can't remember the names right now, but it was, you know, I knew that it was probably a prank.
So immediately I was calm.
I said, you know, I'm pretty sure it's a prank.
And, you know, they were nervous.
And when the guy was writing the information down, he was shaking.
And when we spoke later with some cops at the station several days or weeks later, because the detective was assigned to it.
He said, yeah, we totally believed it because it was right before Christmas and, you know, the tensions are high, you know, expectations and all that with Christmas.
He totally thought it was a real incident.
And they had called and said that there was an incident at the house, that there was an active shooter at the house.
Yeah.
And should I just say what it was?
Sure, yeah.
So they claimed that, the SWATers claimed that I was the active shooter.
And that I was shooting family members and holding my wife hostage.
And they had all the names.
They went after our children.
And they said that I was holding my wife hostage and that I was shooting people and that the police needed to arrive immediately.
And so, to your point, that puts the police in a heightened sense of response mode because they hear an incident like that.
Were they coming in with the sirens on, where the sirens were on?
I don't think they had yet, but yeah, they were like, well, who is Jack Posobiec?
You know, they had your name, and I said, well, I'm sure it's a swatting thing then, you know, because he's not here.
I can get him on the phone for you so you can talk to him.
Right, and so they couldn't find my address, so they went.
And found your address.
We now employ a variety of measures to protect that information, by the way.
And hopefully this never happens again.
But they caught the guy.
Yeah, they caught him.
And, you know, but they're still copycats.
And what I would have to tell people is, if you even think you might be a target of a swatting incident, call your local police, talk to them, and say, hey, you know, if I get a call like this, or if my house does, You know, like, maybe call me first or let me FaceTime or something so that it's not this full blown guns drawn in the middle of the night, whatever kind of incident, which people have been killed for this sort of thing.
Right, and it wastes resources.
And in situations where you and dad are, And you never know what happens in the middle of the night like that.
Something goes wrong.
And you've been living with this now for a couple of years.
Do you feel better that they've caught the guy?
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah, Dad was so angry.
Just anger.
And I was more like, well, you know, these things happen, you know.
This is part of the job, I guess.
And this is real life.
This is real life.
So this is really my mom, folks.
This is really my life.
This is really our life.
Being in this movement.
Doing what we do.
