This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
Christ is king!
21 pages, and it basically goes into how these extremists online are hijacking religious affirmation.
The phrase Christ is king has been systematically co-opted by extremist figures, for which they mention a handful of people you know and love.
They mention Jack Posobiec in 24 hours.
Jack Posobiec had one of the most—he authored the phrase, amassing a combined 34,000 likes.
Posobiec, while known as sometimes polarizing in American discourse, nevertheless used the phrase in its original apolitical context.
His posts, while reflective of his broader conservative views, were semantically neutral and devoid of bigotry.
They likely represented a historic, normative use of the Christian phrase.
Well, there you go, Jack.
They're saying, yeah, I guess.
However, they then get very mad at Candace Owens and Jake Shields.
They're trying to make proclaiming Jesus as king, they're trying to make it illegal.
They're trying to smear that whole deal to where people can't say it.
But Saviak is right because this comes from out of nowhere.
No one was talking Christ is King, and now all of a sudden the Daily Beast has a story, and these people have to be expelled, and the National Contagion Resource Institute, something invented in 2018, they've now...
Christ is King, boy, on Elon's X platform, man, when it's used, it's done to slur the Jews.
This is a PSYOP.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
We're here in Washington, D.C. Today is March 18, 2025.
Anno Domini.
Christ is King.
Now, this is a phrase that we play in the intro here on the show every day.
It's a phrase that I certainly use pretty much every morning on X. It's also a phrase that is very traditional in the Christian faith.
It goes back several millennia, all the way back to the very start.
And another member of the Christian faith, a recent Catholic convert, joins us now to discuss this phrase.
Ladies and gentlemen, Candace Owens, the host of The Candace Owens Show.
What's up, Candace?
What's up, Jack?
It's so good to be here.
You guys do such great work here.
Well, I appreciate it, as always.
Candace, is Christ king?
You know, last I checked, Christ is in fact King.
And it just seems insane that we are having this exact same debate again when it began last Lent season.
And now we're understanding that it was...
Funded by the ADL to produce this report to try to demonize the phrase as if it means something else.
And I will say this regarding the ADL.
They were the same ones that were also pushing through Congress wanting to redefine anti-Semitism and to include things like the Bible.
And so it's incredibly alarming to see this sort of inorganic traffic take place again of trying to make Christians ashamed to assert that Christ is in fact king.
Well, I think that's right, and see this partnership with members of the ADL, research partners.
There's this report, and we'll go through it.
We've got a break coming up, but I want to really dig into this because I think there's a broader picture here because I'm starting to see this alignment, a constellation, whatever you want to call it.
It is completely inorganic, and that's the perfect word that you used.
It's inorganic.
This is being done in coordination.
There's a stream of this that's going on.
There's various people.
And one of the big keys of this is that all of the people mentioned to either be slandered, to be attacked, to be considered quote-unquote extreme or whatever it might be, they're all Trump supporters.
They're all Trump supporters.
And somehow this all happens again.
So I want to understand that here in this Easter season.
With you and with really just anyone else because it's all about Easter and it's all about explaining what we do to prepare for that recurrence.
Be right back.

Welcome to the second American Revolution.
All right, Jack Posobiec, here we are back.

Folks, last week, gold did something that mainstream media did not expect.
It hit an all-time high, over $3,000 an ounce, and experts now forecast it could hit $3,500.
By the third quarter.
Meanwhile, the world is watching history unfold.
Tariffs, inflation that won't budge, market correction and a weakening dollar.
As Trump works to clean up Biden's economic mess, one thing is clear.
If you don't control your wealth, you're exposed.
That's why I urge you to take action and call Allegiance Gold at 844-577-7676.
You've seen them on the show.
And if you call them right now, they will make it easy for you to start a gold IRA today.

Call 844-577-7676 or protectwithposo.com.
That's 844-577-7676, protectwithposo.com.
So I want to get up this report again because This is very, very dangerous stuff that they're talking about here.
They're talking about censorship.
They're talking about going after phrases.
They're talking about a very basic, fundamental Christian phrase, Christ is King.
And in fact, in the Catholic Church, you can find Catholic parishes all over the place, all over the world.
And certainly just in city after city, there are called Christ the King Parish or Institute of Christ the King.
Most Catholics can probably name like half a dozen of them off the top of their heads.
It's a super common phrase.
You see it, the iconography all the time, depictions of the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus, and he's got a crown on his head.
I want to go back to our guest, Candace Owens.
Candace, when it comes to this phrase, is this really what...
They're upset about this phrase, Christ is King, or is there something else going on?
Because it seems to me that this happening in 2025, the same way these types of things were happening all throughout 2017, once Trump got into office the first time, were actually about dividing Trump supporters and trying to sort of gatekeep who is and isn't allowed to be a Trump supporter or who is or isn't allowed to say a certain phrase.
It just reminds me of all the same type of garbage that I dealt with that year.
And it's especially telling that the people that are doing this and who are advising MAGA that you have to get these people out of MAGA, expel these people out of MAGA, have never been MAGA.
These are the people that have tried to divide and conquer the MAGA from the very beginning.
They were the never-Trumpers that then reappeared as DeSantis supporters.
And then when DeSantis lost, they had no other option.
And they're pretending like, you know, we like Trump now.
And it's like, no, this is extremely inauthentic.
You have been against Trump every step of the way.
And I'm supposed to believe now that you're writing these articles, essentially trying to divide Trump supporters, because obviously a very large contingent of us are, in fact, Christians.
And by saying, oh, you can be a good little Christian if you just accept that, you know, this phrase is only used by people who are bad Christians.
And it's a wacky way to try to divide us, because I think it truly, especially because these attacks keep happening during the Lenten season, that it only strengthens our resolve.
I recognize that a season of penance is a season of spiritual strengthening.
You know, like we are committed to prayer.
We are every day thinking about why we are going through this season of penance and preparing for Easter.
So it's very strange to me, but I found it suspicious that it was the exact same people involved.
And so I'd like to take everybody like on a trip down memory lane, 2024.
Actually, actually, real quick, Candice, can I just add, can I just add?
It's also during Lenten season when the Lord challenges us.
It's a time of challenging, and it's a test of faith.
And so I fully accept it.
I fully accept the challenge of my faith, and I do believe that that is why the Lord is allowing this to take place during the Lenten season, because He is calling us to challenge and reexamine our souls and reexamine our faith to bring us closer to Christ.
That's the entire point of Lent.
That's the entire point of Easter.
And that's why I'm not angry about it, because I think both times it has backfired for the people that think they're executing this attack as a win, like, oh, people will take our side.
It has backfired tremendously because it has awakened a lot of Christians who maybe are not so committed in their faith.
Maybe you've got people who are not going to Mass or not going to church every Sunday, and they're going, what is this?
I've never heard of people being upset about the phrase, Christ is King.
It's utterly bizarre that this keeps happening, but to take the...
The further length here to try to produce a report to legitimatize it with absurd metrics.
We've seen an increase of the term Christ is King.
Yeah, because you're attacking the phrase Christ is King.
Common sense, you're going to see an increase.
That's like saying, oh, on 9-11, we see an increase in people saying God bless America.
Of course, because you guys are randomly choosing to attack this phrase.
And then there's this bizarre conflation.
You can see.
Who it is they're fearful of, you know, like you're mentioned in this report.
Why?
Why are you mentioning this report?
They're doing this entire thing to say that it's being used as a form of anti-Semitism, as a form to speak down to Jews, and yet they show no example of that when they bring up my name because I've never done that.
They don't have shown an example.
They're just broadly producing a report and trying to sort of smear everybody all at once and accusing us of things that we've never done.
I would never say Christ is king to just speak down to someone.
And by the way, I don't think that's possible.
I think truth always helps people, no matter what.
But it was sloppy, and I was very shocked to see Jordan Peterson, who has been so reputable in the past, to acquiesce to something that was so sloppy they didn't even spell psychology correctly in the report.
And he's a psychologist.
I mean, it was maddening.
Well, and here's what it comes down to as well for me, is this type of behavior, and I was also very disappointed to see Jordan Peterson's name on there, someone I've always held in the highest regard.
Because it feels like the behavior of the woke.
It feels like a woke style, longhouse style, gatekeeping, speech policing, but also thought policing kind of exercise.
And I remember looking at this saying, like, wait a minute.
So you guys are trying to tell me that you can look into my mind and you can look into Candace's mind.
And you know what I'm thinking when I say Christ is King, but you also know what Candace is thinking when she says Christ is King.
And so Jack is allowed to say it, but it's a problem when Candace is saying it.
I'm like, I reject all of this.
I reject all of this completely.
Who are you so-called self-appointed people to be able to, number one, determine who's allowed to say this, again, very basic, really just foundational phrase?
Of the Christian faith, certainly at Easter time.
But also, if I'm going to go in there and start having discussions about this, then that's me participating in the struggle session, participating in the show trial.
And then, you know, I'm going to come in and act like I'm allowed to determine who's allowed to say that?
No.
As a Christian, as a Catholic, I want people saying it.
Of course I want more people saying it.
That's kind of the whole point of having a religious belief, is you want that.
You want to encourage that.
And guess what?
You know, whatever someone believes, that's between them and God.
Okay?
And that's the cool thing about being Catholic is, you know what, that's above my pay grade, man.
Way above my pay grade.
And so, Candace, that's what I think this is.
I think this is like a struggle session.
It is.
And you could definitely see the markers of the fact that this is, in fact, political.
And there was nothing here to begin with.
And they attacked for no reason.
First and foremost...
Nobody said anything.
There was nothing said.
There was no event that took place.
This report was just released.
And the next thing we knew, we had, you know, Jordan Peterson on this rant about the Pharisees, who is not a Christian.
You know, this report was done by people who are not Christian, who do not profess that Christ is King, which is more stunning.
I would never have the audacity to do that regarding somebody else's faith.
The other thing that was really compelling, and I only realized this afterwards, was they mentioned Jake Shields.
Jake Shields then came out after the report and said, I've never uttered the phrase, Christ is king.
And then you had Andrew Tate mentioned and he's a Muslim.
So what is this about, Jack?
What is this?
They released this as like Christians must wake up to this.
And you have people that do not say Christ is king being featured in this.
Well, we do know that Andrew Tate is a Trump supporter.
He's a big time Trump supporter.
We've got a quick break coming up.
And I think what's going on here is it's political.
I think this is political.
I think it's the woke light.
And I think they're deliberately conflating things.
Because of people they are trying to gate beat against.
And look, that's between you and them.
But don't lump me in with things that I haven't said.
And don't accuse people of things that they haven't done.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Today, you know, they talk about influencers.
These are influencers.
And they're friends of mine.
Jack Przellik.
Where's Jack?
Jack. He's done a great job.
Thank you.
Thank you.
All right, folks, we're back.
Human Events Daily, Washington, D.C. Our guest is Candace Owens.
We're discussing this report that is attacking people for using the phrase Christ is King.
It came out at the start of the Lenten season, the 40 days of preparation for Easter.
And, of course, the Lord challenges us at all times.
The same way that Christ was challenged for 40 days in the desert.
It is meant to be a time of spiritual challenge.
It is meant to be a time that going through the sacrifice and giving things up for Lent, which is what we do in the Catholic faith, in the Orthodox faith, by the way, when they do great Lent, they go hardcore.
They go all animal products completely.
By the way, so I'm giving up energy drinks, by the way.
I've told people I'm giving up energy drinks.
Candice, Candice, what are you giving up for Lent?
You got something good for us?
I've given up bread, I've given up gluten, and I fast every day until noon.
Wow!
All bread and all gluten?
Yeah, I know.
It was pretty tricky.
And then also on Fridays, no meat.
So I did a lot this season.
Well, on Fridays, no meat.
Of course, yeah.
We're also doing the Sunday Digital Detox.
I was just so calm about it.
And when it happened again, I just said to my husband, this is a gift.
You know, this really is a gift.
And it is really just a maneuver for...
Christ is just trying to wake up Christians right now who have just been asleep, you know, have been asleep in their faith and haven't recognized that Christianity is under attack all over the world.
And you wouldn't know it if you looked at the media.
But it's even now arriving in these sinister ways.
And from people that we trusted, like I said, I was a huge Jordan Peterson fan, so I was very shocked by this.
And I still would love an explanation.
Maybe there's something...
Maybe it's something smaller.
Maybe they just offered an insane amount of money and he put his name on it and had nothing to do with the study at all.
I highly doubt that Dr. Jordan Peterson doesn't know how to spell psychology.
So that was a big miss in their report when they spelled it wrong.
And maybe that's what it is.
Somebody just came with a check and he said, OK.
But even that, I think, is significant.
I'm glad that it was Dr. Jordan Peterson because it reminds us that we always have to reexamine.
What was it like two Sundays ago?
You attend the Latin Mass, right?
That the gospel, you know, we were talking about Satan, just going over Satan being, I'm sorry, Jesus being tempted by Satan, using scripture to tempt him.
And so I really do think that it's even the players here, knowing that we all have this feeling for Jordan Peterson is good.
It reminds us, it strengthens us in our resolve.
They can quote a chapter and verse, of course.
It's about living it, and it's about believing it.
Although, by the way, I did notice that someone said, That if you want to talk actual scripture, someone mentioned taking the Lord's name in vain as an unforgivable sin.
Not true.
That is not the unforgivable sin.
The unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
In fact, Christ many times forgave people who attacked the name of the Son of Man.
He said so quite directly.
This is a huge part of Christianity.
And again, anyone who actually took on the true understanding.
of what it means to be Christian would know that.
That's a basic tenet of the faith.
But Candace, I do think it's beyond that.
I think there is a constellation of forces that I just kind of call the woke light.
And I think the woke light are these self-appointed gatekeepers who are using woke tactics to try to sort of gatekeep, tamp down.
Toxify, you know, delegitimize, discredit, whatever word you want to use.
Back in the day, we used to say deplatform, but they seem to have kind of lost that fight for now at least.
Anyone who is either true MAGA, who's been an OG from, you know, from the first term, from the first campaign, which of course you are, and then coming around and saying that, oh, you know, this person, you know, we can't associate with them anymore.
And then they just come up with a reason why afterwards.
Right.
And that's so important for people to wake up to.
So aside from just this being a call to Christians to pay attention to these divisionary tactics, it also is a call, the more broader implications here.
But we're prepared for this because it's just like what they did in the MAGA movement.
This is, like I said, the reemergence of Never Trump.
They're pretending that they're Trump supporters now, but they're doing the exact same things.
When they emerged, they were like, we are conservatives, but we're not those kinds of conservatives.
These were like the Meghan McCain types.
We're the good conservatives, and we know that Trump would be terrible, and if you are a dignified conservative, you will follow us and not get behind this man.
And by follow us, what they really meant was vote for Hillary Clinton, by the way, to be clear.
These were the two candidates, and they were vocally against Donald Trump.
They preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.
That should tell you everything.
It's these exact same people.
Jordan Peterson was not a Trump supporter for many years.
He said things about Donald Trump that he didn't like.
And I don't think he's ever pretended to be a Trump supporter.
But we are seeing these exact same people now.
Do this within the MAGA movement.
They're saying, okay, well, now we realize that we can't beat Trump.
He can't run again.
He's the president.
But can we infiltrate this movement with the exact same tactics and say, you know, you're a good MAGA.
You're a good MAGA.
But this person over here, that's an extreme MAGA.
And you're going to have to pull yourself away from them.
No, it's a nonsense.
And we all have to be smart.
And they are, in fact, I don't even think they're on the right.
I wouldn't even call them woke, right?
But yeah.
No, in fact, they are the ones who are woke.
They're the woke light.
We'll be right back.
one more segment coming up with Candace Owens here at Human Events Daily.
*Song*
And Jack, where is Jack?
Where is Jack?
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you.
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys who should be getting politicians.
All right, Jack Posobiec, here we are back.
Human Events Daily.
We're talking with Candace Owens about this strangely political attack on the phrase Christ is King, which comes at Lenten time, which is an attack that really comes on people.
Folks who use the phrase Christ is King, like, I don't know, like my family members, like everybody I go to church with, or anyone who prays the rosary, or just makes, again, the basic fundamental prayers at church,
or when you pray in Latin, these are very simple phrases.
But it also comes at a time when it's very strange, because the people who are making this assertation say they're just concerned.
They're concerned for Christians.
They're so concerned.
That Christians are doing the right thing, even though many of the people who are spreading this thing are not Christian themselves.
You have atheists, you have agnostics, you have members of other faiths.
And so it's quite strange.
I mean, I appreciate your concern, I suppose.
But, you know, there's a lot more that's going on in the world.
Even CNN earlier today was, because it's gone so big and so obvious, that they admit it.
The minority and Christian slaughters that are going on right now by the Islamicist government of Syria.
That this government that's taken over, which, by the way, is receiving billions of dollars in aid from the EU, and I certainly hope they're not receiving any aid from the United States right now.
We'll have to look into that.
I'll have to call up Elon Musk and get him on that one.
But they're slaughtering these minority groups.
There's Christians being killed all over the Middle East, and there's not a peep about it.
Candace.
Why is that?
Why are they so concerned about what people are saying online, these phrases, and then they try to read our minds and talk about us in such a way when there's actual atrocities against Christians going on literally right now?
I view them as opposite sides of the same coin, to be honest with you.
You know, what's happening here is sort of this suppression of saying Christ is king.
What's happening over there is Christians are actually being slaughtered.
And I've long begun to see this circumstance in which they want to divide Christians in the East and Christians in the West to divide their concerns.
I mean, it's an absolute nonsense that you would be pretending to care about Christians as you're telling them not to declare.
That declaration is necessary, as necessary as it is true.
And so they are hoping, I think, to fracture as a first step, to just fracture the Christian faith in America.
And I think the opposite is happening.
I know it's certainly true of the Catholic Church.
Membership actually went up last year.
People that were being baptized Catholic actually went up last year.
And I do think in large part it is due.
To these, like, overly gratuitous attacks on our faith.
And what naturally happens then as well is because people awaken and they become more committed in their faith, they begin to pay attention to what's going on around the world, whether you're speaking about what's happening in Congo.
As I began speaking about last year, and now people are going, what's happening over here, Syria?
You know, I said immediately when I started to understood this issue, and it was not a favorable thing for people to hear, the fall of Assad.
I said, this is not going to be good for Christians.
I know that he was protecting Christians.
And irrespective of what you've read about him, there's obviously now going to be a lot of Christians that are going to die in Syria.
I said that in December.
That now is the circumstance today.
And Nigeria.
I mean, there are so many places where you are having these attacks against Christians, violent attacks against Christians that are taking place.
And there's just completely mum in the media about them.
It's like our faith doesn't exist.
And that's on us, by the way.
I want to be clear.
I don't put that on the media.
I don't put that on somebody else's faith.
I put that on...
I put it on people who declare Jesus Christ but stay mum on an attack like what happened last week when you see nobody did anything and suddenly a report is being produced or people who stay mum when they try to quickly pass something in Congress making parts of the Bible wrong.
It's something that you could potentially be arrested for that tried unsuccessfully to pass that.
There's a phrase that you used last year and I use it as well.
And you talked about being Christian in public, right?
Being Christian in public as opposed to just being Christian in private.
What does that mean, to be Christian in public?
It means persecution, first and foremost.
It's something that you should understand.
And so in the way that—and I've never felt— Closer to my faith and when I understood that, right?
To be a Christian is to be persecuted, and that's okay.
It's okay that you're going to get tons of comments after we have this today.
You've got people tweeting at you on X, calling you names, saying whatever.
People angry at you for not understanding the report, Jack, because you stood up for your faith.
And you remember that the cross that we bear is nothing.
He wore the thorny crown.
And I have bad news for everybody who doesn't want to hear this.
He will rise, okay?
We are in a Lenten season.
He is going to rise.
And so an element for me of living my faith out loud was when I started to realize this last year.
And it came to me like a flood because I had never realized it.
I didn't see it.
Was just praying in public.
Small things that I didn't do.
And I don't know why I didn't do it, Jack.
I can't go back to why that was.
But praying in public.
Letting people know that you are a Christian and you're proud to be a Christian and that you accept that task that feels so minor, right?
I mean, it's like, oh, I've got a deal.
Jack, we've got to get offline and deal with mean tweets on the internet.
Go watch The Passion of the Christ and remind yourself of how blessed we are that that's the cross that we have to bear.
And be strengthened, be happy, and...
Every time I go to Mass and I pray, I'm grateful for the challenges.
Genuinely, I was so happy to see this attack.
And I know that sounds totally crazy for people who don't have that prayer or don't have that love for the Lord.
But I was just going, thank you for this challenge because I know that it is just going to awaken more of your soldiers that are in this world.
And so it's a beautiful thing.
We should be happy that it happens.
And I want people to walk away with that uplifting message about what it really means to be a Christian.
It's smiling when you're being persecuted.
That's how wonderful it is to be a Christian.
Thank you.
Amen.
And look, if all it takes for us is people being mean online compared to what our Lord did for us 2,000 years ago, I'll take it.
I'll take it every day.
I'll take it.
It's nothing.
It's absolutely nothing compared.
I know you've got to run.
Everybody knows where to follow you, but give us your coordinates anyway.
You guys know my show every day is on YouTube at 3 p.m.

I have so much to learn.

You're like George with your theology.
I'm trying to get there as quickly as possible.
We're always just trying.
There's no such thing as a good Catholic.
You're just trying to be one.
Candice, God bless to you, to the family in this season.

All right, folks.
President Trump.
Switch gears here for a little bit because there is massive breaking news out of the White House.
President Trump has just finished an incredible marathon hour and a half speech, not speech, phone call with Vladimir Putin, with the president of Russia.
And this is something...
Now, by the way, when you hear that, and the mainstream media is going to say this over and over, the legacy media will say hour and a half, hour and a half, hour and a half.
It's 45 minutes.
It's 45 minutes because there's translation.
And having been in situations where there's translation, a good rule of thumb is just cut that number in half because there's always going to be time where they have to translate it into Russian or Putin, then they have to translate it back to English for Trump.
I was at the Helsinki Summit in Finland in 2018 between the two presidents, the first time they ever held, I think the only time they ever actually held a summit.
And it was the same way.
So it's really only about 45 minutes.
But we've got a readout from...
The White House, we've also got a readout from the Kremlin.
So this is something, look, we've been talking about it here for the last couple of weeks, and I want to get everyone on board with this.
This is why we went all with understanding what's going on.
This is about not just an end to the Ukraine war.
This is about preventing World War III from happening and potentially a massive, massive peace treaty or some kind of deal between the West.
And Russia, something that a lot of people said should have happened after the Cold War and really never went down the right way.
You had the Clintons in the 1990s, you had the neocons throughout the 2000s, and then, of course, you had the Crimea crisis, which is, I believe, 11 years ago, either today or yesterday, was the actual anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, and now, of course,
the Ukraine war that's taken place.
And so there's been a lot of talk about places, not of disagreement, Like Ukraine, obviously, but also places where perhaps the United States and Russia could work together, including places where we've historically worked together, like the Middle East.
And so the readout actually came out from both sides as we're here on the show live, of course.
So I haven't had time to go through all of it yet, but one thing that I have really keyed in on is the fact...
That they are talking quite extensively, and you saw this earlier this week with President Trump as well as the Special Envoy Whitcoff on Face the Nation, talking about the Black Sea and talking about specifically access to the Black Sea.
This, of course, has been something that I've been talking about here on Human Events Daily for three years.
The city of Odessa, as well as the city of Nikolaev, which...
Folks will remember that myself and Kevin Posobiec traveled to on our own all the way back in May of 2022, just a few weeks after the war began, while there was fierce fighting still in Kherson.
We traveled to Odessa.
We then traveled to Mykolaiv, the same area where the Russian naval fleet, even the current naval fleet of Russia, was really built at those Mykolaiv shipyards.
These are key ports on the Black Sea.
That's what this is all about.
This is what Crimea has been all about.
It's about that massive naval station at Sevastopol, and it's all about access to the Black Sea through the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles, which allows Russia to have that warm water port.
By the way, you want to talk about the importance of this area?
Where was World War II really put to bed?
Well, that was Yalta.
All right, everybody remembers Yalta.
But where was Yalta, ladies and gentlemen?
That's your trivia question.
Where was Yalta?
It was on the Crimean Peninsula.
Yalta is, in fact, a city in Crimea.
Americans may not realize this.
So here we are, back again.
We're back to Yalta.
Seems like Yalta 2 has already begun.
Be right back.
We'll have more on this after the break.
human events, see how you continue to use.
Jack is a great guy.
He's written that fantastic book.
Everybody's talking about it.
Go get it.
And he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.
And we're going to turn it around and make our country pray to you.
Amen. Amen.
A high-stakes phone call today between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
We're getting down to a very critical stage.
It's believed to be the first time Trump and Putin are speaking to each other since Ukraine agreed to a 30-day ceasefire with U.S. negotiators a week ago.
Still no guarantees from Russia.
It's a bad situation in Russia, and it's a bad situation in Ukraine.
What's happening in Ukraine is not good, but we're going to see if we can work a piece.
Both leaders said to discuss the future of the war in Ukraine, including possibly how land and assets in Ukraine could be divided.
The White House yesterday sang one point of discussion, who will control the nuclear power plant on the border of Ukraine and Russia.
All right, Jack Pacific, back live, Human Events Daily.
President Trump finishing up this round-robin call with Vladimir Putin there from the White House to the Kremlin.
And this, of course...
We've been discussing it over the course of the last couple of weeks.
Look, this is really big because there's information that's been discussed, and certainly President Trump mentioned this a little bit, on Air Force One recently.
Special Envoy Whitcoff, who has now been completely, just really taking the face of these negotiations, as well as negotiations in the Middle East.
So he's got just an incredible amount of responsibility in his portfolio right now.
Talking about land agreements, talking about territory, talking about which territories will continue to be part of Russia, which, if any, will revert to Ukraine that are currently in the fighting.
And New York Times has a huge report that all of this potentially could come down to the city of Odessa.
Odessa, of course, being the key Ukrainian port on the Black Sea, but a city, of course, That was historically part of the Russian Empire.
We've talked about the geopolitical importance of Odessa for years on this program.
We went to Odessa on this program.
You know, I'm not trying to toot my own horn on that, but I'm just trying to say that this is how far we've gone to highlight the importance of Odessa.
In fact, in my desk at home, I keep a jar of sand from the beach of Odessa that's right there.
And in fact, we have some photos from my brother and I were there about the landmines on the beach, that this is what it's all about.
This is about control of the Black Sea, because the Black Sea is, this is the gateway to empires.
This is the friction point between east and west.
The city of Istanbul, formerly known as Constantinople, directly south, almost directly south of Odessa, across the Black Sea, towards...
The opening to the Mediterranean, towards the opening to Athens, Greece, and then to the wider Mediterranean, Rome, and eventually the entire world.
That's what it's all about.
And so for the Turks, who currently control the area, they certainly have to wonder if they backed the wrong horse when they decided to go all in with the backing of Ukraine, the backing of Zelensky.
There are also talks about the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, of course, Zaporizhia itself being one of the oblasts that has been annexed and has been joined or has voted to join the Russian Federation.
The U.S., of course, is negotiating directly with Russia now.
You see this, by the way.
Where are the Ukrainians?
Where's Zelensky?
Well, he was thrown out of the White House, and he hasn't been back.
I went to visit him in the Ukrainian presidential complex, as well as a delegation directly from President Trump and the White House.
He was presented a term sheet.
He rejected it.
He then rejected it at the Munich summit with J.D. Vance, and he rejected it in the White House with President Trump.
So that's the three denials, the three denials of Zelensky there of this mineral deal and
You're also hearing information regarding assurances.
That they do not want NATO to enter into the security situation further.
Because there's constantly noise from the British, from the French, that they're going to send troops in a peacekeeping force.
And this has been completely and just categorically rejected by the Russians out of hand.
They don't want to see this.
And in fact, they've gone so far as to describe them as saying that if you enter Ukraine, we will consider you enemy combatants.
And finally...
There's been some talk as well from the intelligence chief of Ukraine, Budinov, signaling perhaps a collapse of, and it's tough to say because this is all, you know, through leaked reports, but perhaps of the front, perhaps of the entire Ukrainian armed forces by mid-summer.
So mid-summer 2025, do they have gas in the tank to be able to go further than that, even after the current collapse of Kursk?
Now, we're told that President Trump...
Received assurances from Putin on the phone call just now regarding a 30-day renunciation of strikes on energy infrastructure by the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
Of course, things are heating up, so going into spring, going into summer.
They talked about an initiative regarding the Black Sea.
Putin called for the complete cessation of military aid to Kiev.
This is the key condition for resolving the conflict of Ukraine, by the way.
And finally, Putin confirmed to Trump, Remember we talked about Kursk being part of Russia.
There's also talk about a prisoner exchange that could take place as early as tomorrow.
Hundreds of prisoners on either side.
This is fast moving.
This is high development.
I'm going to be on War Room in a couple hours with Steve Bannon talking about this in greater depth.
I'll have to sink my teeth into it just a little bit more.
So stay tuned because every single day...
The world changes and human events will be here to bring you the inside story.
