The Poso Daily Brief.
This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth-generation warfare.
A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
Christ is here!
If American democracy can survive ten years of Greta Thunberg scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk.
And of all the pressings, challenges that the nations represented here face, I believe there is nothing more urgent than mass migration.
The threat that I worry the most about vis-a-vis Europe is not Russia, it's not China, it's not any other external actor.
And what I worry about is the threat from within.
The retreat of Europe.
From some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.
Tom, you got AOC out there doing a webinar to help illegals avoid, I guess, apprehension.
And I sent an email today to the deputy attorney general.
At what level is that impediment?
Is that impediment?
I'm not an attorney.
I'm not a prosecutor.
Is that impediment?
Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts?
If so, what are we going to do about it?
Is she crossing the line?
So maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now.
Well, I feel sorry for Mitch.
He's not equipped mentally.
He wasn't equipped.
Ten years ago, mentally, in my opinion.
Let the Republican Party go to hell.
If I didn't come along, the Republican Party wouldn't even exist right now.
Those workers arrived today, Gavin Kleiger, and others arrived today at the IRS. Do you expect to close the IRS, or what are you expecting?
No, I don't expect it, but I think that the...
Internal Revenue Service will be looked at like everybody else.
Just about everybody's going to be looked at.
Advance is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Munich Security Conference.
We want the war to come to a close.
We want the killing to stop.
But we want to achieve a durable, lasting peace, not the kind of peace that's going to have Eastern Europe in conflict just a couple of years down the road.
And welcome in to Human Events Daily.
I'm Michelle Bacchus, filling in for the great Jack Posobiec, who is currently in Munich, Germany, right now.
Of course, he is over there where a lot of things are going on.
We're going to dive into it in just a moment.
But Jack's been circulating in the news, folks, over the past day.
And I'll tell you what, the Washington Post, nonetheless, a little late on this.
We've been saying it all week.
Your scoop is a bit late here.
Nonetheless, here's the headline.
Pete Hegseth team invites far-right activist Jack Posobiec on overseas trip.
The offer triggered alarm among Pentagon officials concerned about the military being dragged into partisan warfare.
Hmm, far-right activist?
You couldn't say veteran, naval intelligence officer.
You couldn't say New York Times best-selling author, father.
You couldn't say husband.
It's really interesting because when does the Washington Post ever talk about a far-left activist?
I'm waiting on that one.
Let's bring in Kevin Posobiec as well.
Kevin, I don't know.
Jack being labeled as a far-right activist?
To me, I just think that they're getting desperate at this point.
A majority of Americans, quite frankly, and this is true through the mandate, don't care.
We don't care.
This is supposed to be fear-baiting.
This is supposed to be so viral.
Nobody cares.
The only people that care, we can talk about these Pentagon officials.
No, it's the deep state.
The deep state that has been corrupt and just riddled with fraud over the past four years.
That's who cares.
You know, Michelle, it's great to be back with you.
It makes me think of the Eagles parade today, actually.
Nobody likes us and we don't care.
You know, that was the Eagles phrase recently.
But everyone likes us, Kevin.
Let's just look at November.
Everyone likes us.
That's true.
That's right.
That's right.
And yeah, we're right so far, I think is the term as well.
It's amazing to see.
You got Danny Lamb trying to blast Jack about it, and I love what you said there.
It's only taken them all week to really catch up, and you know why?
Because we're the media now.
Like, sorry, Mr. Danny Lamb.
Like, we have access, and you don't.
He wasn't invited on the Trump envoy to Europe.
Sorry.
You know, he probably couldn't pass the PE test, the PT test, to get out there anyway.
It's amazing that...
They're just catching up now.
Yeah, what really cracks me up, Kevin, is they have it as breaking news.
We have this inside scoop.
This has been a thing for days.
You're late to the game, but that's exactly why, Kevin.
We are the media now.
This is a new generation, and we are advocating free speech, not these closed-off informational rooms that only some people have access to.
Don't go anywhere.
Stand in our way and our golden age has just begun.
This is Human Events with Jack Posobo.
Now it's time for everyone to understand what America First truly means.
Welcome to the second American Revolution!
And welcome back to Human Events Daily.
I'm Michelle Bacchus filling in for the great Jack Posobiec.
Guys, J.D. Vance is really ensuring that America is first yet again, showing peace through strength, showing power, something that's quite refreshing after the past four years.
He's over at the Munich Security Conference right now.
And it's funny to watch the headlines.
For instance, I'm looking at Yahoo News right now.
J.D. Vance escalates conflict with Europe in alarming speech at Munich.
This is what they're doing right now, if you haven't noticed with the mainstream media.
They're trying to paint these images as if Republicans are stirring the pot and we're going to cause these massive conflicts.
No, for the first time in four years, we are showing strength.
We're putting our foot down.
We're not letting everyone walk all over us anymore.
Those days are done, and that's what the American people voted for.
Of course, let's continue this because the Washington Post, of course, is trying to come out with this breaking news that Hegseth team invites far-right activist Jack Posobiec on over...
Again, let's be clear.
We've been talking about this for days.
They are late to the game.
It's funny that they're trying to make nothing into something.
That's how desperate they are right now.
But here's the thing, Washington Post.
Where was your invite to Munich?
Where's your invite to be on the front lines, understanding exactly what's going on as history is in the making?
Oh, wait.
You're not there because you keep peddling.
False narratives and propaganda.
You want to talk about far-right activists.
Where the heck are the far-left activists?
Why aren't you ever talking about them?
Because I could name quite a few right now.
But in the meantime, let's actually hear from someone who is in Munich right now and does have a front seat to history in the making and isn't trying to peddle some propaganda.
Jack Posobiec, who's over in Munich right now.
This is Jack Posobiec reporting live from Munich, Germany, the Munich Security Conference where Vice President J.D. Vance just delivered a fire-burner speech.
Dissenting against the EU leadership here on the European continent.
J.D. Vance came out swinging, saying that the main threat to Europe is not Russia, it is not China, but it was in fact the abandonment of traditional European values and the main urgency was about mass migration.
the open borders spectacle that has led to multiple attacks on the European homeland, including an attack at the Munich Security Conference itself on the very day that it began, an Afghan migrant driving into a crowd of German citizens, killing at least one.
He directly, J.D. Vance, blamed these attacks and blamed this on the policies of mass migration pushed deliberately by the European leaders.
He also excoriated Europe for continuing to censor and even criminalize free speech and free expression, giving multiple examples of this, including...
The arrest and imprisonment of a man in the UK for praying outside of an abortion clinic.
J.D. Vance then held a bilateral summit with Vladimir Zelensky, the president of Ukraine.
All eyes were on this summit after Pete Hegseth's speech to NATO talking about future membership for Ukraine and, of course, from J.D. Vance's speech itself.
Scott Besson had traveled to Ukraine earlier this week, which we exclusively reported on at Human Events Daily, with the mineral treaty that...
President Trump and Zelensky had discussed.
That treaty was not signed at the meeting there in Kiev.
President Zelensky told Besson at the meeting that he would review it within two days and then bring it back to the Munich Security Conference to potentially see if there would be a signing.
As of this report, it does not appear that Zelensky has signed the mineral deal that was discussed very publicly by President Trump and by J.D. Vance and presented to him by Scott Besson, the Secretary of the Treasury.
It remains to be seen what Zelensky is asking for.
In Kiev, we reported exclusively on the ground from Human Events that Zelensky was asking for a security agreement and potentially more material aid to the Ukrainian state in their fight against Russia to provide for the ability to wind things down as well as for a lasting peace.
The Washington Post is also reporting that multiple members of the U.S. congressional delegation, senators who are here in Munich, presented Zelensky with essentially the same document asking him to sign regarding the minerals.
Zelensky, according to the Washington Post, politely declined.
All of this goes to show that the entire European delegation here to Europe has not ended.
with a direct deal between the US and Zelensky.
Instead, President Trump's envoys, as we have discussed all week, Secretary Scott Besant, Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Vice President Vance, as well as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also participated in the meeting between Vance and Zelensky,
have led to a sea change in opinion and a sea change in the directionality of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, a way in which President Trump personally came in and stated that he is now conducting one-on-one negotiations with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
What this means is that NATO, of course, is very, very upset.
The leaders of the European nations are very upset.
One European leader of Defense Minister of Germany coming out in response to JD Vance's speech and even said that its speech itself was completely inappropriate while JD Vance is still here in Germany.
This is a shock.
To the European allies.
But it shouldn't come as a shock because President Trump and J.D. Vance stated unequivocally many times that they viewed that Europe needs to shoulder their burden for this conflict.
And if they wanted it to continue, that it would be done on a shared price value.
That the United States would no longer be delivering the blank check for all European security.
Certainly not for the Ukraine war.
President Trump campaigned on peace and putting an end to the war is the first J.D. Vance as well coming out and saying that he was not looking for a short peace, but was in fact looking for a comprehensive peace deal to not only secure the end of the Ukraine war, but also a lasting peace for the European continent.
President Trump's envoys have been here this entire week, as well as your humble host, Jack Posobiec, for Human Events Daily, reporting live and on the scene.
That's the key word on the scene live there in Munich where history is happening, where real news is happening.
Let's bring in Kevin Posobiec as well.
You know, Kevin, it's interesting that other nations want to come for J.D. Vance as he talks about them needing to step up because the U.S. paid 60 percent of NATO's defense bill.
Listen, we have been carrying the burden for way too long, and I don't think they're used to somebody coming up and actually showing strength.
We're not allowing other nations to walk all over us anymore.
No, we sure aren't.
And it reminds me, in 2017, Trump went over to Nader the first time and said, listen, we're not paying anymore.
You guys are going to pay up now.
And I believe it was 2% GDP spent on the defense.
And Pete Hegseth said that we're going to raise it to 5%.
And it turns out Poland actually Is already doing that, which is amazing to see.
And, yeah, I really like that J.D. Vance put out there that the main threat is against European values and, you know, also the mass migration.
But it's God, family, and country.
And where do we see that is historically from Europe, but...
Also in America, and these are things that we really hold in high regards.
So why is that such a problem to see in Europe?
Why do we have so many more of these crimes happening from Afghans, Afghan immigrants coming, running over people outside of the conference?
What's going on here?
Yeah, it comes at such an opportune time, right?
Just, what, yesterday, we see an Afghan migrant run into a crowd?
This is just one of many attacks that have happened by quote-unquote asylum seekers over in Germany over the past 12 months.
I'm getting reports here that J.D. Vance had a great speech in Munich, by the way, but I am seeing reports here that CNN and MSNBC pulled away about halfway in or so, which is interesting to know.
And you know, Kevin...
Isn't that funny?
And I know we're going to dive into it more, but basically, from what we're seeing here, not a lot has happened yet in terms of peace negotiations with J.D. Vance and Zelensky.
Again, we're keeping an eye out for that.
Don't go anywhere.
You're watching Human Events.
We have some really fiery content from that speech with J.D. Vance here in just a moment.
We're going to show you, and of course, you're going to see the left's reaction to all of it.
Don't go anywhere.
you're watching Human Events Daily. - Hey, you know, they talk about influencers.
These are influencers and they're friends of mine.
Jack Przellig, where's Jack?
Jack, he's got a great job. - I look to Sweden, where two weeks ago, the government convicted a Christian activist for participating in Koran burnings that resulted in his friend's murder.
And as the judge in his case chillingly noted, Sweden's laws to supposedly protect free expression do not in fact grant, and I'm quoting, a free pass to do or say anything without risking offending the group that holds that belief.
And that is Vice President J.D. Vance at the Munich Security Conference with a blistering speech that the mainstream media is trying to twist already.
They're very on it today.
Must be a slow news day.
Now, really interesting because he name-checked every single European country that violated very blatant.
Free speech rights.
He's calling out countries.
He's calling out specific incidents.
And we've seen this firsthand.
Look at what's happening over in Europe right now when citizens trying to speak out specifically on the massive amount of asylum seekers, as we're still saying that, that are coming into the country and ultimately...
A lot of them, let's look at what happened yesterday in Munich, are causing issues.
They're terrorizing the citizens.
A lot of the citizens don't want this either.
Let's also bring in Kevin Posobiec for more on this.
Kevin, I'm reading some articles here.
For instance, here's one.
J.D. Vance escalates conflict with Europe.
An alarming speech at Munich.
They're trying to do anything they can at this point to make it seem as if the Republicans are going to cause conflict and they're off their rocker.
Let's remember what happened when Kamala Harris...
Went to the Munich Security Conference as opposed to J.D. Vance.
That's right, Michelle.
So I keep recalling that meme that's going around with Elon and Doge, really, where it's like, if you see, if there's people exposing fraud and then there's other people saying, hey, stop doing that, that's usually the people that are guilty.
So it's like that analogy we said the other day.
If you're cheating on your girlfriend and your girlfriend has to go through your phone, if you have nothing to hide, why aren't you going to give your phone over?
But if you have something to hide, you're not giving your phone over.
That's right.
That's right.
And we're just putting our finger in the wound over here.
And it's been going on for about a decade, really, with the mass migration.
You have people like Tommy Robinson, Mike Cernovich, Jack Posobiec.
They all went over and reported on these.
Immigrants, most notably the Muslim rape gangs, everything happening with Ubers, and just general violence against people that, you know, you're claiming you're a refugee coming into somebody's country and then berating and attacking people, totally disrespecting where you're going to, and this is why we need an end to the war.
If you don't have a war, you can't have refugees.
So, that's what we're trying to do with Mexico from the United States' perspective, but also ending these wars, especially with Ukraine and Russia recently.
That's why we're over there for this peace deal.
And why doesn't Zelensky want to reach a peace deal?
He doesn't want a peace deal with Putin.
He doesn't want it with Trump.
But listen, I believe Jack reported on it recently, too, that, hey...
Vladdy, for this Valentine's Day, if you just want to give us some names, drop some secrets for us, we'll gladly bring you to the United States, put you in witness protection.
You want these security guarantees.
Is that code for you want to make a deal with Trump and just wash your hands?
Because we know all the billions of dollars that we sent over to you aren't in your hands anymore.
It went all in the black market, and you don't have any leverage in making this deal anymore.
What do you want to do?
It's your move.
And I think having a real president in office now definitely gives us the leverage to accomplish that.
What do you think, Michelle?
That's the golden question, Kevin.
He talks about these security guarantees.
What exactly is that?
What does that entail?
Is this on behalf of your people?
Is this on behalf of specific people?
Is this on behalf of you alone?
Because there's a lot of things that happened in Ukraine over the past few years that we still aren't uncovering.
And as we know, the Biden administration, Joe Biden, has got some extra...
Bumps in pay from the things going on over there.
And as we've reported multiple times, I mean, the Mexican cartel literally has U.S. weapons that were supposed to be sent to Ukraine.
Zelensky has admitted.
That he doesn't know where some of that money went.
That was billions of dollars.
And not to mention countless lives that were just wasted and died for nothing.
You know, it's interesting because really, Zelensky's only bargaining power, Kevin, was these rare earth materials.
But if he's not willing to come to the table on that, really, what does he have left at this point?
He doesn't have anything.
He doesn't have anything.
We're going to go over there and strike a deal.
He thought it was going to be farmland, but nope.
We're going over.
We're going to get some lithium.
We're going to get some titanium.
And clearly the uranium, which is what everybody's after.
And hey, this is going to be more of just American dominance.
It's great to be winning again.
And it's just amazing that Zelensky couldn't figure this out ahead of time.
But here we are.
Here we are.
We're going to take back America.
We're going to take back all the taxpayer-funded...
Jack and I went over there when we gave them 40 billion, saying, what's going on here?
And now we're in upwards of hundreds of billions of dollars that Ukraine has taken from us.
We are just Ukraine sugar, Danny.
I'll tell you what, we're finally putting our foot down.
We're realizing our worth.
That's a joke.
If anyone lives around the area, they might be able to get that.
All right, you're watching Human Events.
We'll be right back with more.
Don't go anywhere.
Hey, Jack, where's Jack?
Where's Jack?
Where is he?
Jack, I want to see you.
Great job, Jack.
Thank you.
What a job you do.
You know, we have an incredible thing.
We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys who should be getting Pulisic.
Welcome back to Human Events Daily.
Guys, as Trump continues to make massive waves and put this country back on track, you also have these federal judges, activists is what I would like to call them, that are continuing to try and block the MAGA mandate.
Again, this is what a majority of Americans here voted for.
This is what Americans wanted.
They voted for reform and they received it with President Trump.
They received it with his cabinet picks and the moves that are being made right now.
And yet you still have the deep state.
You have these bureaucrats, the Democrats.
Everyone that is getting paid off and has been infiltrated in D.C. over the past four years freaking out.
In fact, we were just talking about it yesterday.
Criminal defense lawyer searches are up on Google now in Washington, D.C. I wonder why that is.
It's interesting, though, because you keep hearing from Democrats the term constitutional crisis.
Remember when they were talking about threat to democracy?
Well, that didn't work.
So now they're in constitutional crisis.
And we have our own little term that...
Josh Hammer, the host of the Josh Hammer Show and America on Trial, is now talking about called judicial insurrection.
Let's bring him in right now along with Kevin Pasovic to explain exactly what's going on there.
Josh, thanks so much for being with us.
You talk about a term called judicial insurrection.
Break that down.
Well, great to be with you guys.
So, I mean, I'm not sure how else to describe what we're seeing unfold before our eyes here.
And, you know, first of all, you're totally right that the American people gave a mandate to Donald Trump and his movement there and that these judges are being obstinate.
And they're trying to thwart it by any means necessary.
But I think it's worth just contextualizing what we're seeing.
Let's flash back to Donald Trump's first four years.
There were 64, by my tally, instances of so-called nationwide injunctions, universal injunctions against Trump the first time around.
That number 64 is actually more than the first 44 presidents combined actually dealt with there.
Which makes sense because the entire idea of a so-called nationwide injunction, the entire idea that a puny little single federal judge deep in the bowels of a forum shop, deep blue jurisdiction, whether it's in Hawaii or Seattle, Washington or Portland, Maine, the notion that that single judge can bring the entirety of the government to a halt.
It's completely unconstitutional, and it is only a modern fabrication.
It only came into being in the late 1960s.
So really, the ball has been in the United States Supreme Court's court, no pun intended, for years now to once and for all definitively rule that these things are actually unconstitutional.
But unless and until they do so, the courts are going to keep on acting up.
Fortunately, there are also ways, I think, for the Congress and for the executive branch, for the Trump administration, to deal with these courts in a way that would not necessarily require SCOTUS review.
review.
So SCOTUS should, for once and for all, deem that this judicial insurrection, these nationwide injunctions are lawless, they run constitutional, and they will never be the law of the land any longer there.
But Congress is going to have to start to get its hands dirty here.
So Jim Jordan, the House Judiciary Committee, guys, it's time to start filing some articles of impeachment.
Elon Musk said that earlier this week.
He is completely right there.
The actual legal language in Article 3 of the Constitution says that judges shall sit, quote, during good behavior.
We know from some pretty good legal scholarship and some historical research that during good behavior has It has the same meaning as high crimes and misdemeanors in Article II of the Constitution, which Alexander Hamilton defines in Federalist No.
65 as basically being a breach of the public trust, which basically means that when you act in a matter where the public has lost trust in you, then you have committed an impeachable offense.
How else to describe what we're seeing from people like Judge McConnell in Rhode Island who threatened the Trump administration with criminal contempt?
How else to describe what we saw from Judge Engelmeyer in New York City earlier this week who threatened Elon Musk and Doge very, very badly unless they submit all funding decisions when it comes to the Treasury Department through his desk there?
So I want to start to see articles of impeachment as well there.
And last but not least, when it comes to the executive branch, if Judge McConnell actually tries to follow through on this criminal contempt threat, Let's see how that plays out.
Okay, dude, what are you going to do?
You're going to hold a Trump administration person in criminal contempt there?
Well, Trump can just issue a pardon on the back end.
It's not going to end well for you.
So the judiciary, we know, is the least dangerous of the weakest branch.
And I think, as Antonin Scalia once said, that they are about to be reminded, frankly, of their own impotence.
Well, just to follow up there on that, Josh, talking about Judge McConnell here, He insisted that it's okay for judges to have personal opinions and allow that to influence their decisions.
It's on camera.
Natalie Winters actually uncovered that just the other day.
He calls President Trump a tyrant.
I mean, how is this okay?
Yeah, I saw that clip from Natalie.
That's a great poll from her.
These judges are activists.
You're totally right to do it.
Look, look, I clerked on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals myself.
Seven, eight years ago now.
I mean, I have seen, I've met any number of federal judges over the course of my lifetime.
This notion that every person who puts his hand on the Bible and takes the oath is necessarily a fail, neutral arbiter of the law.
You know, thank goodness.
We're blessed to have many such constitutionalists, including my own former boss, Judge Ho, on the Fifth Circuit.
But there are many people on the left who are just literally just political activists in robes.
By the way, going all the way up to the United States Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, that woman is a political activist.
I'm sorry.
But when she is issuing decisions there, I genuinely do not think that Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, but especially really Sotomayor, probably more even so than Jackson, if we're splitting hairs there.
I do not think that she is arriving.
At a seriously considered prudential judgment as to what the law requires there.
These people are just issuing political mandates there.
And we saw that in that clip that you mentioned that Natalie Winters brought up about Judge McConnell talking back in 2021 in the post-George Floyd era there about how he grew up as a privileged white man and how it is incumbent upon him to try to think about how if there is a black or a gay or a transgender or alien, whatever, defending before his court.
He has to think about how the criminal law should apply to him.
You know, what happened to the good old notion of equality under law?
The good old Declaration of Independence, the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, the Civil Rights Act there.
You know, once upon a time, this country actually stood for equality under law.
I'm heartened to see that that was basically what Trump went on in contrast to their dystopian vision there.
But these judges have to be taught a pretty severe lesson, I fear.
Yeah, these judges are evil, Josh.
I gotta say, it's amazing to see such a pushback.
And like you said, Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown-Jackson, who doesn't even know what a woman is, push back against all these doge policies being put in place.
And they're just on their heels.
They're being put back on their heels.
I saw just yesterday at the Maryland State House, you know, just outside of D.C., there's a trans protest going against the laws coming down there saying that they're going to be stripping funding for sex change surgeries.
And now even like U.S. District Judge Brendan Herson got blocked, you know, by President Trump's EO on this as well.
And also the hormone drugs for minors.
Like, why?
Why are we seeing this?
Why are we seeing such lawfare now?
Well, their first response.
Form of preferred lawfare failed, right?
I mean, their first form of preferred lawfare was the prosecutorial element.
I mean, that was so-called special counsel Jack Smith.
By the way, I call him so-called because he's actually not a legitimate special counsel, as Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida both correctly ruled.
But we saw that lawfare from Jack Smith.
We saw that lawfare from Fonnie Willis in Georgia.
That case...
Technically, it's not over yet, actually, which is kind of weird, but I guess it'll come to a formal end one way or the other.
It'll peter out here essentially of its own accord.
Alvin Bragg in New York City.
So that lawfare failed, right?
I mean, the American people voted for Donald Trump, all these stupid criminal indictments notwithstanding there.
So now they're on to their next stage of lawfare, which is the judicial insurrection.
But again, to the weakest branch, they have it coming at this point, I think.
All right, so Josh, Leticia James isn't going anywhere, unfortunately.
She had a press conference earlier today raging about the Trump administration after they halted payments to New York City.
Let's remember, by the way, what was it, $59 million FEMA sent to New York to house illegal immigrants while our own people were freezing in the cold from Hurricane Helene.
This comes as well as Pam Bondi, new attorney general, announced that the DOJ has filed charges against the state of New York.
Kathy Hochul.
Leticia James, the DMV commissioner.
What do you think is going to come of this?
And how do you think this is going to play out?
Is Leticia James just freaking out right now?
She's trying to do anything she can to save herself?
Well, first of all, these are righteous lawsuits that Pam Bondi is filing against New York State, against Kathy Hochul and Tish James, and out in Chicago, against the very socialist mayor there, Mayor Johnson, as well as the governor, J.B. Pritzker.
You have to go after these so-called sanctuary jurisdictions.
And the somewhat provocative way that I like to phrase what these so-called self-professed sanctuary jurisdictions is doing, they're basically trying to relitigate the Civil War.
And let me explain what I mean by that.
This country fought a very bloody, tragic war.
Many, many, many people on both sides lost their lives 160 years ago.
To once and for all resolve the question as to whether or not the states can nullify federal law.
That was the old theory, right?
I mean, that was John C. Calhoun, the slave-holding South Carolinian back in the 1830s, 1840s, the idea of a nullification crisis that the states can just nullify federal law.
That was what the Democratic Party stood for before the Civil War.
And now apparently, Really just neo-Confederate Democrats, frankly, in the year 2025, are basically trying to resuscitate the ghost of John C. Kowloon.
They wouldn't call it that, obviously.
They think that they're taking the moral high ground, but that's actually exactly what they're doing here.
So what Pambani is doing is basically just affirming that no, federal law is supreme.
Under Article 6 of the Constitution, the Supremacy Clause very clearly says that this Constitution and all statutes and treaties passed pursuant to the Constitution.
That is a supreme law of the land.
The states cannot nullify or cannot undermine federal law.
So she's basically just trying to uphold federal law.
I would actually take it one step even further than this.
There's a 1987 Supreme Court case called South Dakota versus Dole, which basically stands for the proposition that the Department of Justice and Congress, if they want to...
Can attach federal funds to states and localities on the condition that they do something as long as that something is related to the funding.
So in concrete terms, what I mean by that, the federal taxpayer actually subsidizes a lot of local police departments across the country.
At this point, the DOJ working hand in hand with Majority Leader Thune, Speaker Johnson, and the Republicans in Congress, they should make sure that not a penny of U.S. taxpayer dollars flows to any local police department in a so-called sanctuary jurisdiction.
You should basically require that as a condition of receiving that aid from the federal taxpayer, that these local jurisdictions do not obstruct federal law enforcement when it comes to the deportation operation, when it comes to ICE, DHS, and so forth there.
And ideally, you would condition that funding on them, not just- I love hearing that.
That shows the connection between ICE and DOGE. It's incredible to see.
And we just had that report from Tom Homan there, too, seeing if AOC might be in some deep water there.
Teaching people how to resist ice.
But that's amazing to see.
Yeah, hey, the left said, you know, defund the police.
Like, my hell, the tables have turned.
Put the ball in their court.
I love it.
It's time to go on offense, guys.
It's good stuff.
It's time to go on offense.
Josh Hammer from The Josh Hammer Show, thank you so much for being with us and providing that insight as well.
Do not go anywhere.
You're watching Human Events Daily.
I'm Michelle Bacchus filling in for the great Jack Posobiec, who's over in Munich right now causing an uproar with mainstream media, which is quite literally outdated media at this point.
We're going to have more right after the break.
break.
Don't go anywhere.
First, I'm always listening to Human Events with Jack Posobiec.
Thank you.
All right, welcome back to Human Events Daily.
I'm Michelle Backus filling in for the great Jack Posobiec.
Some breaking news coming in right now as two people were shot at the Eagles Super Bowl parade.
Of course, this is early reports coming in, allegedly over a dispute.
This comes as just last year during the Kansas City parade as well.
One person was shot and we're going to continue to pray for those victims as we find out more information there.
Happening as well, only moments ago, some other breaking news.
President Trump signing an executive order halting.
All federal funding for schools which mandate the COVID vaccine.
Guys, this is a long time coming.
This is something that we've all been waiting for.
Many of us have felt the effects of this unconstitutional COVID vaccine mandate.
Mind you, we're going to take that right now.
Take a look.
Okay?
Okay, that solves that problem.
Sir, will the Department of Education have to handle that?
Yes, it'll go through the Department of Education.
Okay?
Thanks.
Can I make one comment, Mr. President?
Yes, please.
As a father of nine, thank you.
We should have parental freedom to decide what vaccines our kids take, as opposed to school systems and governors forcing upon.
The people that love these kids the most, which is the parents, so thank you for signing that.
Great.
Thank you very much.
People wanted that very badly.
Okay.
Okay, and here is an executive order establishing the National Energy Dominance Council.
So that will be chaired by the Secretary of the Interior, Mr. Burgum, and the Vice Chair, Chris Wright.
And so this will reduce costs with respect to energy, establish American independence.
With energy and also unleashed energy dominance.
Good.
Thank you.
And this is a big deal.
We have more energy than any other country, and now we're unleashing it, to put it nicely.
And I'd like to ask, Doug, you're going to be heading it up.
You and Chris, would you say a few words about this?
Yeah, absolutely, sir.
Good afternoon.
President Trump wisely understood that under the Biden administration, There was a war against American energy, and today that war officially has ended.
President Trump on day one declared a national energy emergency, and this is a real emergency because the Biden administration restricted the production of oil and gas.
Production is still coming, but when you stop holding leases, when you take 625 million acres of land out of ocean, land out of production possibilities through an executive order, you're really restricting the balance sheet of America.
But today, as President Trump said, this is unleashed.
The National Energy Dominance Council will be made up.
All the folks that are standing beside me here, other cabinet leaders and many more, represent President Trump's wise decision that we need a whole of government approach to unwind.
We're going to go ahead and do a little bit.
We're going to go ahead and do a little bit.
We've got to unleash it from the Gulf of America all the way up to Alaska.
We have amazing resources in this country, and we haven't been getting a return on them.
Many of these are under public lands.
The interior has 500 million acres of surface, 700 million acres of subsurface minerals, critical minerals, and offshore close to 2 billion acres.
And that balance sheet is the biggest balance sheet in the world, and it's been completely underutilized.
Everybody knows we have $36 trillion in debt as a country, but no one knows how many hundreds of trillions of dollars of assets we have.
And President Trump is asking us to go get a return on that investment for the American people.
And with that, we're going to have prosperity at home with lower prices, and we're also going to have peace abroad.
Because the wars that we've been engaged in, Our allies have been fighting over the past few years, have been funded by the oil sales of our adversaries.
So we have an opportunity, and we also are in an AI arms race with China.
The only way we win that is with more electricity.
And we also have an energy emergency in terms of electricity.
Too much intermittent, unreliable, not enough baseload.
We've been shutting down the baseload that we have.
President Trump is going to reverse that and it's going to allow us to win the AI arms race, which is the most important thing that we have to do relative to our future.
So with that, I want to say again thank you to President Trump.
And I want to thank my fellow members of the Energy Council.
I'm going to kick it over to the Vice Chair, Chris Wright, who's the Secretary of the Department of Energy.
Thank you, Secretary Burgum.
Today is truly a great day for our country today.
And Secretary Burgum laid out so many of the problems the last four years.
If you put barriers in front of energy you make it more expensive.
You make it less reliable, make it harder to do business here, and harder for our consumers to pay their bills.
With this fantastic action from our president, we now have authority across the government to lean in to fix these problems.
And I'll start out with one specific right away.
This morning I signed our first LNG export license, Unpausing the Pause, in action.
The Commonwealth LNG project that will be on the Gulf Coast in Louisiana.
Is now officially ready to go.
This will be a large construction project for American workers.
It will draw demand for more American energy production that will be shipped overseas to our allies.
Many more of those to come.
We're also working aggressively to roll back standards that have made appliances more expensive for Americans.
And dishwashers that take two hours long and don't get your dishes clean.
Nobody likes that.
That's about standing in the way.
And with this president, President Trump and our new National Energy Dominance Council, there's so many things we can do to make American lives better, bring down costs and grow opportunities.
And with that, I'm going to kick it over to a fellow member of the council, our administrator of the EPA, Lee Zeldin.
Thank you, Secretary.
And honored to be serving on the Energy Dominance Council at EPA. We're doing our part to power the great American comeback.
And President Trump has made it clear that he wants EPA to be doing our job.
To ensure that we are unleashing energy dominance however we can help.
That we are assisting in making America the AI capital of the world.
That we are pursuing permitting reform.
That we are helping to bring back American auto jobs.
This is the mandate of the American public.
The Trump mandate was clear.
And the guidance from President Trump to me when he asked me, thankfully, for the opportunity.
For us to be able to serve together in partnership to unleash energy dominance, this is a moment that we must meet.
To that end, it is important to note that the prior Biden-Harris EPA issued a waiver to California for tailpipe emissions.
This was a rule that should have been submitted to Congress.
We will submit it to Congress.
Congress will have the opportunity through the Congressional Review Act to make that waiver go away.
We will do everything in our part to help the American people to make life in America more affordable.
The golden age of American success is upon us.
If you're excited about the last three weeks, that was just a taste of the main event, the entree to come the next four years being the greatest term in the history of the American presidency.
With that, I'd like to introduce Shawn Duffin.
We work on dishwashers.
We use more water to wash our dishes before we put them in dishwashers.
We're not saving water.
We're using more water.
So thank you for that.
But I'm also joining the EPA. We introduced our rules to start to look at the cafe stampers.
So we're looking at how much it costs for end users when they put gas in a car.
Our standards are costing billions of dollars in taxes and carbon credits, which drive up the cost of vehicles.
And so we're going to repute that, rectify it, and make sure we're bringing up the cost of the car number one.
Number two of my inspection, Mr. President, for your correction, we are going to move forward with a committee process for the Texas Gulf Link Deepwater Port, making sure we can move energy in and out of the So,
the nanny state.
You're feeling the end of the nanny state.
From straws made of paper to regulation endlessly harming Americans and holding us back.
It slows down our production and manufacturing, which we were talking about with the Prime Minister of India yesterday.
You're hearing that about energy dominance.
It's going to go away.
We're going to care about Americans.
The Trump administration and this president cares about Americans.
And you're going to feel a change.
You're going to feel the price of energy coming down.
You're going to feel prices coming down.
You're going to feel an explosion, the golden age of manufacturing.
Of America has always been there.
It's just been stifled by regulation, and that time is over.
Thank you very much.
Please.
Mr. President, I just want to say that you've built such an incredible team, and Secretary and Chairman Bergman, that he's been working on this his whole life.
And so what I expect you to see, sir, is action as early as next week that is going to shock people about how good it is for Americans.
And so thank you for your leadership, sir.
Thank you very much, Governor.
We are also working on a project that has been under wraps for 20 years.
