Hi, I'd like to welcome you to our show.
I'm your host, Prang Medic.
We're talking about life as a child of God and all things related to His Kingdom.
Thanks for joining us.
If you're a new listener to the show, you can find articles and books and other resources on my website www.prangmedic.com.
Now let's jump into this week's show.
Hey everybody, this is Praying Medic.
Thanks for tuning in.
My message today is going to be one that is a little uncomfortable for me.
It's going to be a short message.
I want to outline today the services that I have to offer people who come to my website who know me as a friend or as a mentor.
There is a lot of misunderstanding about exactly what it is I have to offer.
So, today I'd like to clarify what it is I can offer you.
If you've listened to my podcast and read my books, you know that I'm pretty big on healing.
I wrote a book on divine healing.
I teach on physical healing, emotional healing.
I teach on deliverance.
These things are very important to me.
And one of my favorite scripture verses is Matthew 10 verses 7 and 8.
These are the things that I teach people to do.
Now, Now, I receive a lot of emails and private messages where people ask me to pray for them for healing, physical healing or emotional healing or deliverance.
And I always honor prayer requests when I receive them.
However, I want to make clear what the main focus of my ministry is.
When Jesus gave the disciples this commission, that's recorded in Matthew chapter 10, and he was talking about the things that they should do for people who were unfamiliar with the gospel, who did not know the gospel of grace, who did not know the power of God.
So the disciples went out and they were going to use demonstrations of power to reveal the nature of God and his kingdom.
This was to unbelievers.
My commission comes from Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11 and 12.
Speaking of Jesus, Paul wrote, And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
That is where I take my commission from.
My main ministry is not focused on healing other people.
And this is the first Thing I'd like to clarify.
When I receive emails and private messages from people, many times they write to me and say, you have such a great healing anointing.
Could you please pray for me to be healed?
Well, as I said, I always honor prayer requests and I will pray for anyone who sends a request to me.
But I do want people to understand that praying for other people to be healed is not my main ministry.
I don't spend a lot of time praying for an individual to be healed.
When someone sends me a prayer request, I don't spend enough time to get a word of knowledge.
I don't usually spend time enough to get revelation from God about specific things.
Most of the time when I receive a prayer request, I pray, it's very short, and I go on to the next prayer request because in any given day I receive a lot of requests and I can't spend as much time as some people would praying for each individual person.
So, if you send me a request and you ask me to pray for you, just know that I will pray for you, but generally speaking, I'm not going to get back to you and give you specific revelation.
I don't generally keep track of or write down the things that I see or the things that the Lord shows me.
I just pray as I'm led, and that's it, and I go on to the next one.
Again, my ministry is not primarily a prayer ministry.
My ministry is a teaching ministry.
There's only one or two people that I pray for on a regular basis.
I have a friend named Ravi Kapoor, who has been a friend of mine on Facebook for many years.
And Ravi and I pray for each other, not daily, but very often.
Other than Ravi, there aren't very many people I pray for on a regular basis.
Like I said, if you send me a message, I will pray for you, but please don't send me a message saying, would you please pray for me every day?
Because I receive hundreds of emails and private messages and I cannot keep track of everyone who needs prayer every day.
I'm not an intercessor.
So unfortunately, you can't expect me to pray for two or three hours over your situation.
I love intercessors.
I think they're amazing, but I am not an intercessor.
I'm a teacher.
So, if you do send me a prayer request, just realize I will honor it.
It's going to be short.
The funny thing is, even though I often pray very short prayers, we do receive back some incredible testimonies of people who have been healed, occasionally financial and legal breakthroughs.
I don't want to give you the impression that my prayers aren't effective.
They just tend to be very short.
I also occasionally receive requests for deliverance and I need people to know, again, my main ministry is not deliverance.
Only occasionally do I do personal deliverance and it's usually with a friend, someone I've known for a while.
If you have a request or a need for deliverance and you send me a message, generally speaking, I'm going to refer you to someone who has a deliverance ministry and that's what they do full-time.
And the same thing is true for emotional healing.
Although, I do some emotional healing.
Again, it's generally with friends or people that I know.
It's not all that frequent.
And these people are essentially guinea pigs where I'm trying to learn new techniques for emotional healing.
If you need emotional healing, I'm probably going to refer you to someone who does this full-time or has a lot more free time to do it.
When a blind man was asked by Jesus, what do you want?
He said, I want to be able to see.
Jesus gave him his sight.
He generally gave according to precisely what a person asked for.
And that is how I respond to people when they contact me.
If someone has a headache and they want me to pray for their headache to go away, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I'm going to pray for their headache to go away.
If someone contacts me and says they want to learn how to make other people's headaches go away, that is a completely different question.
And I will spend a lot more time and give that person resources and information so that they can pray effectively and make other people's pain go away.
I think it's sad that many times we ask for the wrong things.
Instead of asking to be trained and taught how to do things, we simply ask a person to do it for us and then next week we have to ask them to do it again.
We never learn how to do it ourselves.
That's why I think it's much more valuable to spend my time teaching people.
The nature of my ministry is teaching.
It's not really healing or deliverance.
I am a teacher.
I'm much better at teaching than I am at doing.
I can teach people to do things I can't even do myself.
When my children were young, we used to go to the Oregon coast.
One day the kids decided they wanted to go surfing.
Now, I'd never been surfing, but I'd watched a lot of surfers, and I decided to rent a surfboard for the kids.
I knew enough about watching surfers that I thought I could teach my kids how to surf.
So, I spent a day showing the kids how to read the waves, how to get up on the board, how to paddle it with the waves, and then how to stand up on it.
We practiced this for hours and hours and by the end of the day the kids were actually able to surf pretty well considering that it had only been doing it one day.
It was then that I realized my real gift is teaching.
I can teach people to do things I can't even do myself because I analyze the process of how these things work and I can explain it to other people and show them and demonstrate it even though I may not be able to do it myself.
You might call that an unusual gift, but that is what I do.
I'm very good at teaching.
So if you are a person who needs instruction, I am the person that you're looking for.
If you are a person who needs a lot of daily prayer, I am probably not the best person.
Some people will ask me, well, why don't I emphasize praying in my ministry?
What about James 5, verse 14?
Doesn't that mean that we should pray for each other?
It absolutely means we should pray for each other.
I do pray for other people and sometimes I lay hands on them and sometimes I'll anoint them with oil.
But these are people that are in my fellowship, in my circle of friends.
The admonition from James here is for people in a congregation to call for the elders of that congregation, not to go to a stranger or someone on the other side of the world and say, hey, can you get me healed?
Now, I realize that many people don't have a regular church that they attend.
I don't have one either, but I do have a lot of believing friends who are qualified as elders.
And today with social media, you can get connected to any one of thousands of groups of people on Facebook and other social media platforms.
There really is no reason to be isolated from a body of believers.
I do most of my fellowship online.
I receive prayer from a lot of my friends.
I receive counsel.
I receive teaching and instruction from people who are more mature than me.
And I have received prayer from them, and I have been healed.
So, if you're a person who is looking for instruction in living the supernatural life, in healing and deliverance and emotional healing and seeing in the spirit, traveling in the spirit, if you want instruction on those subjects, if you want to grow and know how to do them, you have come to the right place.
I have videos, podcasts, articles, all that stuff is free.
You are welcome to plow into it and learn as much as you can.
And while you're learning, you're welcome to send me messages and I will be happy to spend time with you, explaining things, answering your questions.
It's really the inquisitive students, the people who want to know more about the kingdom, that I invest most of my time with.
When I find someone who is a student who wants to learn how to do these things, I will spend just about as much time as I can training and equipping them.
That's my passion.
If I had my choice between seeing a hundred people healed in one day, or training ten people how to heal, there's no question that I would spend my time training ten people how to heal.
Because those ten people, over their lifetime, will heal hundreds of thousands of people.
And that's a much better investment of my time.
And speaking of training, right now I'm putting together the materials for an online class.
I'll have more information available on that in the future.
Well folks, that is our show for today.
I hope you enjoyed it.
