Dr. Oz And Phil Investigate CBD Scam 00:14:16
We are fed up.
That just makes me furious.
In a television first, it's a Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil investigation.
We are teaming up to right a very big wrong.
This isn't a close call.
This is highly toxic.
And bad guys, beware.
We're coming for you.
You are hurting innocent people.
This should be illegal.
Coming up next.
Today, for the first time ever, it's a Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil investigation.
That's right, the two of us together because, frankly, we are fed up.
Fed up with unscrupulous scammers using our names and photos to scam you, our viewers, into buying products with your hard earned money that we never endorse, products that could be putting your health at risk.
And we're not going to sit idly by.
That swindle, it stops today.
So, Phil, we both got our start on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
I remember even way back then, Seen fake ads about me and her whenever I talk about anything you could buy in the store.
I had my photo was a lie.
Did it ever happen to you?
It did.
From the very beginning, Mimit, people grab those images, they use your image, my Emmy's, Oprah's image, people that are high profile, and then they put these crummy products on there and try to get people to buy them based on our credibility.
Now, I got to hand it to you.
This all started because you actually picked up a pen, so to speak, and sent me an email, and you were upset.
And you wanted to team up to call out these scammers tricking our viewers.
So, why was it important right now, today, more than ever?
Well, you know, it's Dr. Oz, it's so bad right now.
People are quarantined, they're sitting at home, and they're spending more time on their computers than ever.
And these are oftentimes people that are on a fixed income, and they can ill afford to waste money on products and put their health at risk.
And I thought, this has got to stop.
It's reaching a fever pitch, and we've just got to call it out for what it is.
So I took a little trip out to the West Coast to meet up with Dr. Phil, and we tried to track down these fraudsters.
Take a look.
Have you seen the online ads for CBD oil featuring me, Dr. Phil?
The ads say, Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz have made headlines everywhere, and that we plan to provide every older man and woman in America with our product.
So, they can live a better life.
You might think we sell or endorse these CBD products, but we don't.
I met up with Dr. Phil to tackle this scam together.
You've heard from viewers who bought this stuff, right?
They trust me, they trust you.
They're getting conned.
What do they say?
Well, you know, I'm hearing from particularly elderly people that are on a fixed income, and it says free, but they want their credit card information, and then they say you can cancel anytime, but they can't.
They just get no action when they try to cancel, and they get hit for $118, $89.
And it's money they can ill afford to lose, which is why we've got to stop this.
My staff set out to find the bad guys, tricking consumers into thinking Dr. Phil and I sell CBD.
We found one product called Harvest and another, Life's Pure CBD.
Then we hired a private investigator in Florida to stake out one alleged owner's nearly million dollar home.
But no one answered the door.
Next, we teamed up with cyber fraud investigator Christine Durst.
I found another brand that's actively using Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil's names and images, it's called Verified CBD Oil.
Verified's ad is sneaky.
It looks a lot like the website for Dr. Phil's show.
But when you click Be on the Show, it takes you here to buy their CBD oil.
Turns out Verified CBD has an F rating with the Miami Better Business Bureau.
And ironically, the Federal Trade Commission has reached out to them because they're using unverified medical health benefits claims in their advertising.
So, who is behind Verified CBD Oil?
The supposed owner is in a video right there on their homepage.
I'm Bob Chambers, and since 2014, founder of Verified CBD.
After a car accident left me riddled with physical and emotional pain, I tried everything.
And when nothing worked, I turned to CBD oil.
It literally changed my life.
We went in search of Bob Chambers, the man on the website, who says he's the founder of the company.
We started with the address listed on their website.
But it turned out to be a virtual office building in Miami, Florida, available to anyone for $80 a month.
What is a virtual office?
What?
It's a business address for your company.
It doesn't include any physical office space.
It's just the address.
So, no Bob Chambers in Miami.
Next, we tried to call him.
Thank you for calling, Barry.
For SUPD, this is John.
How can I help?
Hi, I'd like to speak to Bob Chambers.
Well, this is just the customer support line.
He's not available at this time.
Oh, okay.
Is there a number I can reach him?
No, I'm sorry.
We don't have any phone number for you.
And then, Christine Durst had a major breakthrough.
Hello?
Hey, guess what?
I found Bob Chambers, and he's not who he says he is.
So I just want to highlight this.
The people behind these bogus ads are professional liars.
I mean, just about everything they say is dishonest.
And you're never going to believe what happened next when Phil and I came face to face with the supposed head of this company.
Christine, I have been more frustrated by this than anything in my life.
What have you found out about these perpetrators?
Well, I found out that Bob Chambers is not real.
I actually plugged his picture into facial recognition software and it immediately began to render a bunch of results in Bob in a bunch of different roles.
I say roles because the man is an actor.
He's actually a British actor.
And you never would have guessed it because he did a really good job with his American accent.
Since 2014, founder of Verified CBD.
Finally, Dr. Phil and I have a lead to go on.
We're going to track this guy down.
We set up a Zoom with the actor playing Bob Chambers.
He had no idea who he was about to speak to.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I know that you've been in theatre.
I've done quite a lot of theatre over the years.
We're particularly interested in one thing that we have seen you in, where you portrayed someone by the name of Bob Chambers.
You've seen me in that.
Excellent.
Yes.
How did that come about?
They got in touch with me via my agent at the time and basically just flew me out to Lithuania to take the part.
Primarily, they said it was going to be a promotional film that was going to be used in conventions and things.
Did they just pay you like a day rate, or did you get paid based on the success of the product or whatever?
Well, I got paid a day rate.
It was not intended for commercial distribution, so I just presumed it was going to be, as they said to me, was going to be used in conventions.
Would you be surprised to know that that wasn't used at a convention at all?
That would surprise me on many levels.
Professionally, I was lied to.
And they've used your image telling you you were just playing a role when they've passed you off as the real person behind this company.
And so they've victimized you, me, and Dr. Oz completely.
Yes.
Okay.
We know the pain of that because I am Dr. Phil, and beside me is Dr. Mehmet Oz.
I recognized you both the moment I saw you.
And they have stolen our images and used them in their ads.
Can you give us any more detail about the people who hired you?
Bob Chambers, does he even exist?
As far as I know, no.
Who told you the Bob Chambers story that he was a pharmacist that had been involved in a motor vehicle accident?
That's a script.
After a car accident left me riddled with physical and emotional pain, I tried everything.
They're using your image and our reputations to prey upon people for these products, exploiting them economically.
So, what next?
I would love you to speak to America and express your outrage that your video has been used to trick them.
Hey, I am not Bob Chambers.
I am an actor that simply played a role in a short film.
I'm speechless that people could use me in that way to scam you in that way.
My image is clearly being used to take money off you.
So, yeah, I'm sorry.
You've been a really stand up guy and talking to us.
I've really felt.
Lifted by this conversation, Will.
We weren't sure what to make out of you.
We saw the video.
We've been hurt because we see people we care about paying a big price, and it means a lot to us.
You were willing to get on the call today.
I certainly hope so, because obviously this is going to be damaging for me as much as it is for you.
I have a career to build, I don't have one to lose in the way that you do.
But we can right or wrong if we collaborate.
Great.
Thank you very much.
Bye now.
So there you go, Bob Chambers.
Another bogus fabrication created to capitalize on your trust to steal your money.
And then, like I say, for this actor who was another victim caught in their web of lies, it sort of thickened the plot for me.
So, since we filmed the actor, he has told us that he's planned to reach out to that company to have that video taken down.
He's trying to help us to follow the money.
So, next up, Dr. Phil is weighing in.
What are these companies trying to hide?
And his message to any of you who have been scammed by these ads.
All new Oz.
As mutant strains of COVID 19 threaten the headway we've made in fighting the virus, what treatments can still stand up against the new variants?
That's coming up tomorrow.
My mom's 82 years old.
She loves Dr. Oz.
She respects him.
She trusts him.
An ad popped up on her track phone and it said that Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil had endorsed it, so she sent away for it.
She was all excited to let my sister and I know because we've been trying to convince her.
To try CBD oil for her arthritis, her depression, her anxiety.
When I came home to visit, I realized that A, it was just a generic CBD oil, and it was also a monthly subscription.
So not only was she just paying the initial $76, she was going to be paying $76 every month until she canceled.
When I pointed that out to her, she was just humiliated and embarrassed.
She said she didn't want to have anything to do with it.
Could we cancel it?
Called the number that was on the bottle, talked to a very rude man, tried to cancel it.
He wouldn't let us cancel it.
He wanted us to change it from oil to Pills, just ridiculous.
I'm 57 years old and he was aggravating me and making me anxious.
And here they are preying on these 82 year old people.
I am genuinely heartbroken whenever I hear from one of my viewers who says they or someone they love was taken advantage of by a company peddling CBD products fraudulently using my name, Dr. Phil's name, without our knowledge, without our permission.
So today we're here together to expose their lies and protect you.
So, Dr. Phil, What do you hear from your viewers who have bought these products?
I know there's lots of emotional people who have been hurt.
You know, the thing is, Dr. Oz, they give them these grand promises of what these products are going to do.
And think about it people are reaching out for these because they have a problem, they have a need, and so they're reaching out for a solution.
Number one, they don't get the solution, and it says free, try these free, but they capture their credit card number and they say cancel at any time.
And then, of course, when they go to cancel, Nobody responds.
It's just crickets on the other end.
And then they just keep getting hit five, six, seven, eight months before they can get it canceled.
So they've spent $1,000 that they don't have.
They're often on a fixed income.
The people are just heartbroken and frustrated.
And they actually don't know whether CBD could have helped them, right?
Because we don't even know what's in there.
And we'll come to that.
Now, we bought a bunch of these CBD products and found out some of them could be charging your credit card for months and months after your purchase, including one called Life's Pure CBD.
It was advertised as a trial, one bottle for just $7.50.
And then when you read the fine print, you'll learn your credit card is enrolled in a monthly subscription.
As you pointed out, you're being charged some amount of money, more like $84 a month in the case of that product, for one bottle of CBD oil.
And it's not so easy to cancel, as our producer, Anne, called to find out.
I just want to cancel my subscription, my order.
The product's gonna be just not a free sample.
I thought it was just like $7.50 or something.
I understand it is a trial offer, but since we didn't hear anything from you within the trial period, that is why you were charged with the regular price of the product.
What is the trial period?
Dangerous Lead Found In Fake Samples 00:10:55
Because I just received them.
That would be 14 days trial plus three days of shipping to call us and to cancel.
Right, and so I'm within that window.
No, I'm sorry for the confusion, but you place an order on the 22nd.
So that's the first day, count that.
We shouldn't count that because I didn't receive them until like the 27th or 28th.
So, I've only had a little over a week to try them.
The charge did go through for $80 and $84.
I don't think it's fair that I was charged those.
I'd like those charges to be lifted.
I can offer you a $40 each product, a total of $80 refund.
So, I am paying $80 when I thought I was paying $7.50.
Yes, because that's the shipping and handling only.
Let's turn to the medical side of this a little bit.
So, our viewers are turning to CBD, as you pointed out, because they're in pain.
They have anxiety.
They're looking for relief.
They're desperate.
Right?
So imagine having to deal with making a call like that, like you just heard, on top of all those other issues.
So, how angry, Phil, are you when you hear how folks that trust you, because they got these products, they know you and like you and trust you, how angry do you get when you hear about how this scam affects real folks?
You know, it's just so frustrating to me because these are people that have followed me, they followed you for years.
As you say, we both started on Oprah, they trust both you and I, and based on that, They reach out for something and then get hammered.
And it just, it breaks my heart and angers me so much.
And so you try to track these people down.
And when you do, we've sent out, I don't know, probably a hundred cease and desist letters to these companies and tried to find them.
And then they just poof, disappear, and then open up under another name somewhere.
They're elusive.
These are, as you pointed out, professional fraudsters.
They're good at what they do and they have no heart whatsoever.
All they want is money.
They don't care who they're hurting.
And that just makes me furious, absolutely furious.
And just so everyone realizes, you guys, you know, many have said, well, you must know these are happening once you just stop them.
We spent millions of dollars trying to go after these guys.
We estimate they're making $100 million off me a year.
I'm sure making similar numbers off you.
Of course, these guys are going to be scoundrels who are making that kind of money.
So, up next, are these products even real?
Is there really CBD in them?
Or could they have dangerous ingredients that no one knows about added as well?
Or could they make you high?
All of that's possible.
Dr. Phil and I aren't done yet.
Coming up, we take these products to a top lab to find out.
Stay tuned.
We are back with a Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil investigation into CBD products that use false endorsements to sell their products.
And I'm going to say it again.
Neither Dr. Phil nor I have ever endorsed a CBD product, ever.
But this isn't about these companies capitalizing on our names.
It's about them capitalizing on your trust, which brings up the issue if they can steal your money, are they even safe?
They'll steal your health, right?
So our producers purchased these products and we brought them to a top lab to find out what's really in them.
Take a look at what we found out.
Our teams managed to obtain some vials of CBD being sold by several different companies claiming to have our endorsement.
We sent them to Pedram Selimpoor, a physician who's going to test them at this lab.
And we want to know exactly what is in this alleged CBD oil.
It's time to get to the bottom of this.
Dr. Selimpoor, how are you?
How are you?
Thank you very much for coming.
What do you got for us, Pedram?
We're going to be looking at some CBD and other test results for.
Some of the people who think you guys are endorsing their products.
It's infuriating.
Right.
What's really important to remember is that CBD is regulated by the FDA for only one drug, epidialyx, and that's for two rare childhood seizure disorders.
So, is there actually CBD at the level that's supposed to be in these products?
And is there THC, which would make them high, psychoactive?
In the CBD category, there often is not as much CBD.
As they purport to put in there.
Because CBD can be very expensive, close to $10,000 a pound.
You can imagine there's a pretty significant economic disincentive not to put CBD in the product if you don't have to and no one's gonna check.
Could you take us through the actual products that we sent you?
Absolutely, sure.
So we tested a product that came to us from someone that was purporting to have you be their spokesperson.
But the test that we did on this failed.
Because it was too high in its lead contents.
In lead, 15 times higher than safe levels, 500 times higher than our level of detection.
15 times higher than safe, so this isn't a close call.
This is highly toxic.
Highly toxic.
The fact that they're putting our names on it to validate it just really burns me up.
They're cheating people and putting their health at risk and using our names to sell.
In adults, infertility can be caused by lead issues, a lot of belly pain.
Continuous nausea, all these things that you might attribute to the world around you, some crazy allergy that you don't really have.
It could be because of lead that you're paying money to put in your body because you don't know what's there.
And this isn't a one shot deal.
People are applying this day after day, week after week, month after month.
They have no idea that they could be sitting at home poisoning themselves every single day.
We ought to have a more specific list of things that you have to prove is.
Is true for your product before you can verify that it's safe.
Not just slap your name on there, pay some actor to make a fake ad, put our endorsement images on there, and then all of a sudden, next thing you know, you've created tens of thousands of harmed individuals and millions of people with empty bank accounts.
It should be criminalized.
If it's not, it should be.
Dr. Sellenport, thank you very much.
Thank you.
Godspeed.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Bottom line buying any of these products is like playing Russian roulette.
Some of them may be harmless.
But that 6 1, you just don't know what's in the chamber.
And don't believe any product is endorsed by Dr. Phil or me unless you hear it directly from us.
We take results like this very seriously and for due diligence sent this same sample to a second independent laboratory and they confirm these results.
Elevated levels of lead.
So, what can that do to you if you ingest it?
Well, when we come back, Dr. Phil is taking you inside the mind, and I'm taking you inside the body to show you the scary effects of lead.
We tested a product that came to us from someone that was purporting to have you be their spokesperson.
But the test that we did on this failed because it is not safe for human consumption under any circumstance.
We're back with the first ever Dr. Raj Dr. Phil joint investigation.
As you just heard, some companies using our images and names to sell CBD are peddling dangerous products.
In one case, lead was detected in CBD oil.
We're worried about your health because this is a completely unregulated business.
So, Dr. Phil, what was going through your mind when you heard there was lead in a product falsely tied to your name?
Well, it was 15 times safe levels and 500 times or 100 times detectable levels.
And immediately I start thinking about the impact it has on the brain and cognitive functioning.
And this can be true if it's with a child, it can be true if it's with some of the older folks.
Because this gets into the brain and it can cause irritability, it can cause an inability to concentrate, it can affect working memory.
This has a deleterious effect on all of your cognitive functionings and can be very dangerous.
This can be life threatening.
And I hope you'll talk about what it can do to the organs and with postmenopausal women.
Well, just specifically, you know, the reason that we're all worried about lead paint and kids chewing on it is because of this.
We have all these regulations, and yet you're actually paying money to buy a product with lead in it.
And yeah, it can affect fertility levels.
It can affect intestinal problems.
You can develop issues related to the contaminants in the CBD that are worse than the problem you're trying to treat.
So let me show everybody why consuming lead is especially dangerous for women, and especially as you get older.
Because when lead enters your body, let's just say this is the lead, right?
And this is your body, and this is the bones.
The stuff is actually stored in your bones.
So the lead fills up those bones.
As it soaks it up and it accumulates and hangs out there for a long time.
But once women hit menopause, the estrogen levels change, they drop.
That causes calcium to come out of your bones, right?
Your bones aren't quite as hard to use as they used to be.
So, what happens when your body has to go get calcium, right?
Guess what?
It starts to resorb, starts to give the body a little bit of that extra calcium back.
But as it does that, it begins to shed stuff right around the bone and then ultimately into your bloodstream.
And this blue stuff, which represents lead, once it's in your bloodstream, As Dr. Phil pointed out, it crosses the blood brain barrier, which can cause a whole host of neurologic problems.
It bothers your intestines.
It gets all over the place.
And just because you didn't have it in the last six months doesn't mean what you had a year ago doesn't get into your body, which means we're creating a long term problem with these CBDs that are contaminated.
So, Phil, you're a psychologist.
When this affects people's brains and affects the way they think, it changes, I would gather, your ability to diagnose their problems.
It probably causes problems that you can't even treat that easily.
Well, it really does because this isn't, people, it will manifest as a psychological issue when in fact it's a neurological breakdown.
It's brain based, but it expresses as a mood change or someone thinks that somebody has a personality disorder, so it oftentimes gets misdiagnosed.
It's so frustrating to think that they're being sold a poison that they're applying every single day.
And if you've been taking it, it's in your bones, like I just showed here metaphorically with this baguette, as it leaks out into the body around you, you can have those symptoms.
Way after you stop poisoning yourself by accident.
So when we come back, it's time for the big confrontation.
Affiliate Marketers Blamed For Fraud 00:08:24
Our investigation brings us to the people who run the verified CBD company.
But find out what they had to say about their deceptive marketing materials used to sell their products and their response to why their product, that one that we tested, contained traces of lead.
I'm Bob Chambers.
I am not Bob Chambers.
I am an actor.
And since 2014, founder of Verified CBD.
And I have no direct connections to the company that is selling this product.
After a car accident left me riddled with physical and emotional pain, I tried everything.
And when nothing worked, I turned to CBD oil.
It literally changed my life.
Have you used CBD yourself?
No.
Would you be okay if we spoke to your.
Prior agent to get more information about these folks because we've not been able to find them.
I'm sure she'll be more than happy to give a statement.
That was Dr. Phil and I confronting a man who turned out to be an actor, one hired to portray the founder of a CBD company using my and Dr. Phil's fake endorsement to peddle their products without our permission.
Now, it's a scam that we're teaming up to stop today because this guy's actor was just another victim in their web of lies.
I'm going to show you just how complicated this gets, but you can get, you're going to understand this.
So I'm over here in New York City, right?
That's where I'm taping right now.
Now, I'm talking to Phil, who is in Los Angeles, right?
And everywhere across the country, people are buying these CBD products because our images are being used by a company that's said to be located down here in Miami.
Now, these guys hire a UK actor based in London to portray their founder.
It's not legit, but that's who they hired.
Then they send this guy, right, to a video company in Lithuania to shoot the shot.
Now, who paid the production company, right?
Let's follow the money, right?
Guess what?
They never responded to our request to tell us.
They won't tell us.
Then we asked Verified CBD point blank, who was their real CEO?
Right?
Who was the person who paid the money to hire the guy to pretend to be their founder, Bob Chambers?
The guy you just witnessed us talking to.
They ignored our questions twice.
Then we asked what they and the other companies who have used our fake endorsements had to say about their bogus marketing materials.
The only one to respond, because the other guy scurried away, right?
The only one to respond was Verified CBD.
And they said in part, this website is not owned, managed, operated, or in any way controlled by our company.
After investigating the website, we identified that it belongs to an affiliate who was part of our affiliate program.
Such advertising is clearly a violation of our affiliate program's terms and conditions.
We have since permanently banned the account and severed all ties with the affiliate immediately.
Let's take a second here, guys.
So this company is shifting the blame to the affiliate marketers.
So, Phil, do you believe that these guys, verified CBD, really didn't know about the ad or all this stuff I just described?
I don't believe a word of what's being said.
And I think if we were able to follow the money, it goes right back to the people that are saying, hey, we don't have anything to do with this.
And it's the same thing we get every time we corner one of these people.
They say, oh, it's not us, it's somebody on the internet hijacking us.
I don't believe a word they're saying.
I don't either.
And we actually hired a cyber fraud investigator, a real expert in this area, Christine Durst, to help us with this case.
She joins us now.
So, Christine, can you just explain what affiliate marketers are?
That's who this company's blaming.
And why companies like Verified CBD are able to hide so perfectly behind these guys?
Sure.
These affiliate marketers are individuals or businesses that sign on to sell a product in exchange for usually a pretty hefty percentage of the sales.
In the case of Verified CBD, I was able to get behind the scenes and see what they're paying their affiliates, and their affiliates are actually earning 25% of the sale.
So that's a pretty heavy incentive to go out there and lie your way into the money.
And when confronted, the product seller usually does exactly what they did to you.
They act completely abashed and put the blame off on the affiliates and make a token gesture of getting rid of that particular affiliate.
The product owners have an obligation because they know that the affiliate marketers will do this to include in their terms of service, their restrictions, their conditions, language that very specifically tells them they may not use celebrity endorsements.
But of course, they don't do that because they know that at the end of the day, it leads to a major part of their sales.
This web has been thicker than you'd imagine.
We actually followed up and asked verified CBD, the people who we think are the culprits here, who their affiliate marketer was.
You know what they said?
Nothing.
No answer.
Again, good people don't hide the source of their money.
It is typical of illegal enterprises to hide the source of their ill gotten gains.
And guys, this should be illegal, but in America today, it is not.
That's right, it's not illegal.
The business model Christine just described is a broken one, it is not designed to protect you, the consumer.
But rather, it's designed to squeeze as much money as they can out of you.
It's a company's responsibility to make sure the partners they contract with are acting in a legal and ethical way.
Who else is going to police that?
But they won't do it.
In fact, they hide themselves, and worse, they're enabled by the big guys.
They're the ones that allow these scams on their websites.
Now, there are legal protections that internet companies were given many years ago.
For example, like the ones that have allowed ads for sex trafficking for children.
You know, until two years ago, law enforcement couldn't do anything about that.
Because it was legal to traffic children online.
Legal.
Now, we helped get that change and making a lot of noise about it.
But now we need to change the law we successfully adjusted two years ago.
We got to change it more to protect medical problems, to protect scam ads from medical substances.
Otherwise, I mark my words, you guys, our viewers, Phil's and mine, we're going to wake up one day to see a phony ad for a fake vaccine to COVID, right?
Or some miracle cure for a really bad problem with our picture next to it, and there's nothing we can do to stop it.
Now, I hope you're as outraged as Phil and I are because this is happening with products that people consider medicine.
Now, we just revealed that one sample of that CBD oil we tested contained potentially harmful levels of lead.
So, this is endangering your health and it's tricking you into thinking things won't help you.
Like CBD oil, I actually think might work.
But you're never going to know because you're buying fake stuff.
And so, you've given up on a whole area of solutions that instead of getting a CBD oil for a sore joint, you may end up with opiates, which have a whole set of other problems with drug addiction.
So, we wrote to these guys.
To see verified CBD to find out what they had to say for themselves.
Here's what they said basically I'm quoting them.
We at verified CBD take product quality very seriously and we test our products using independent third party labs.
You guys can judge as you wish.
They went on to talk about the lack of standardized testing protocols and federal regulation in the CBD industry, which to me sounds like another poor attempt at shifting the blame and excusing the fact that they are selling a potentially dangerous product and no one, no one is going after them for it, except today, Phil and I are.
Now, these guys did ask us to share our order number and results so they could pull the samples and do the full retest with an independent lab, which we're going to do, but they don't answer any of our questions.
The real ones, like who owns the company, who's making money, who's scamming you.
So, Phil, what do you think about this company, about their responses to date?
Well, I think it's just all smoke and mirrors.
And they say, no, we take this seriously.
No, you don't take it seriously, or you wouldn't be putting out a product that has lead in it at potentially toxic levels.
And you are hurting innocent people.
You don't have the right to take money from people that are looking for answers.
You're a fraud, you're a scam artist, and somehow, we're going to continue to pursue you until we do get you in a corner, we do get you in a box, and we do hold you accountable.
Real Owners Behind The Smoke And Mirrors 00:06:05
Hallelujah.
I pledge as well, we will not be quiet until these unscrupulous characters are held accountable.
We need to make some examples to start shutting this stuff down.
And you guys at home are part of this solution.
So, right now, our best weapon to shut down these lies is with the truth.
We need your help.
We are posting a video today exposing this scam on Facebook.
That we want you all to share with all the people who follow you.
Phil and I both can put it out there.
So let's flood the internet with the facts so we drown out these scammers and take away their power.
Not one more victim.
And don't forget to watch Dr. Phil's great show today.
He's covering this vital topic.
You can watch Dr. Phil every day.
Check your local listings.
Phil, thank you very much.
Godspeed.
Thanks for all your work, Mimit.
All right.
We'll be right back, everybody.
Today, the dish at home is bringing on the bacon.
With something for everyone.
And we're making tasty, juicy, and lean treats for keto and low carb eaters.
Stay tuned for the big bacon bash.
The Dish at Home crew is back today with a big bacon bash.
That's right, your favorite ingredient.
I don't usually talk about it by myself, but I got some world class experts because bacon is the guest of honor.
Daphne, what's on the menu?
Bacon is the guest of honor.
I feel like that's the party I want to be invited to.
A bacon wrapped pork tenderloin is coming your way, guys.
It is as juicy and flavorful as it is beautiful.
Check that out.
And for anyone out there on a low carb diet or keto, this could be the perfect meal for you to keep you feeling full and satisfied.
But first, we will wage a debate.
Tell me about your favorite bacon making method.
There are a couple.
There's the in the oven, in the sheet pan, and the tray.
And I mean, like, what's the best way?
What's your expert opinion?
Jameika, what's your take?
I have to say, I put mine in the oven because you get less shrinkage and less oil and less of a mess on the stovetop.
So I go in the oven and do mine.
Bacon all day for me.
Gail, what about you?
I'm totally with you, Jameika.
That is how I want to make it.
And that is how I know.
Or, I believe it is the best way in bulk, no mess, easy cleanup.
But for some reason, in the mornings when I'm making bacon, usually I get lazy and I just take out a pan and put it in the pan.
But I always regret it because then I have to make it in batches and then I have to keep it warm somehow and there's oil all over my stove.
So I know it's not the best way.
It's just, it's like the lazy person way.
Well, I gotta say, I've got to admit that I love the bacon, but it's the smell that really gets me.
And it's not a health food, obviously, but it's a treat that all of you.
Keto dieters and low carb eaters enjoy.
So, Jamaica with Papal Dispensation has come up with a bacon dinner idea y'all gonna love.
That's right, Dr. Oz.
I'm making my bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.
It's great on its own for keto, or you can add greens, or you can just pile on the potatoes.
However, you serve it up, it's the type of meal that will have you having sweet bacon dreams about.
So, let's get started.
Now, here I have some Yukon Gold potatoes, and I've just sliced them lengthwise.
We're gonna layer them.
In our baking dish.
And then we have some onions that I've cut into wedges.
As you can see, not only are we building our vegetables, we're producing a lot of flavor, and we're also building a roasting rack to put our potatoes on.
Now we have what I call our smell goods, right?
So I have some garlic that I've sliced right down the middle just to expose it.
We have some fresh thyme, and then you can smell that.
Oh, yes, it is rosemary.
We'll put that right in there as well.
This is fennel seeds that I've crushed up a little bit.
And you put this on the bottom.
I mean, it just takes pork to another level.
And then you need a little bit of fat in the bottom.
Some olive oil will be perfect for that.
Drizzle on.
Mmm, this is smelling and looking really good already.
I have a pork tenderloin here that I've trimmed off some of the fat off the top, and I have my bacon strips ready to go.
You're just gonna start from end to end and kind of tuck those ends under the bottom.
You can expose some of that pork, let it get a little brown.
And all of that bacon fat is gonna drip and ooze all over that pork tenderloin, so everything will get covered.
So then I will place it on top of all of my vegetables.
We'll bake this at 400 degrees until your pork is cooked throughout and your vegetables are nice and tender.
But we're also gonna add another side dish.
I have some torn kale leaves here, and I just wanna stir it in to the bottom.
The heat that's already with our potatoes and our pan juices is gonna wilt down this kale.
And it's just going to give another dimension to an already fabulous dish.
So, our kale is nice and wilted down with our vegetables.
Our pork is perfectly rested.
It's time to slice, y'all.
Nice, hefty slice here.
Oh, wow.
Do you see the juices?
It's so moist and juicy.
That bacon wrapped really sealed in everything, and it's so much flavor.
Time to serve it up.
I have some potatoes here, a little bit of onion.
Gotta get my greens in, and two little perfect slices.
Of pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon.
That is beautiful.
Okay, we gotta taste it.
Doesn't matter how great it looks, always has to taste good, okay?
Mmm.
This is the perfect meal.
Mmm.
It tastes fabulous, I admit.
Up next, nothing is messier in the kitchen than cooking bacon.
Eco Friendly Kitchen Cleaning Hacks 00:02:58
So stay tuned for some cheats to make cleanup a breeze.
He said he wanted to eat my ribs.
Behind the shocking accusations against actor Army Hammer, his ex opens up about her claims of abuse and his cannibalistic desires.
That's coming up Friday.
We are back with the dish.
And after all that cooking and eating, it is time for a kitchen cleanup.
Chances are you have never sprayed, wiped, or disinfected more than you have in the last year.
Keeping all the surfaces in your house free from viruses and germs has become a top priority for everybody.
So today we want to introduce you to a new disinfectant spray.
Daphne, take it away.
Yeah, it's the Lidman Multi Surface Disinfectant Spray.
So you're absolutely right, Dad.
In 2020, finding a disinfectant spray to do all that cleaning with at the supermarket Was basically like winning the lottery.
There is good news though.
A new American made option from the Olivin Company is here to help.
The hydrogen peroxide formula cleans on contact, killing 99.9% of viruses and germs.
So, Daph, you got six people living under one roof, a couple toddlers who have their grandfather's genes, not the neatest of all.
How do you keep it clean?
Yeah, that's kind of a joke these days with four kids under six.
But if we learned anything in the last year, it has definitely been to embrace the messes as.
Best we can.
And between all the cooking we're all doing here at home and the kids leaving their toys around, fingerprints everywhere, spilled drinks, I mean, it just feels like an explosion happening all the time.
I know all the moms feel me on this and are constantly looking for good ways to keep it clean.
Then the new Lidman multi surface disinfectant spray is made for hard surfaces like counters and appliances, but it also works on floors, in the bathroom, and even outside.
And it doesn't leave behind any residue.
You know, disinfectant sprays were not the only challenging item to find this year.
Many of you have experienced paper towel problems, right?
They're right up there, Daph.
What have you been using to help with this?
Those kids make a mess.
I agree because you're constantly tearing through those sheets and then you run out and then it's doomsday.
Lidman's microfiber cloths come in handy for kitchen cleanups, especially.
I have bacon grease back there on the stove from all of our bacon show cooking, and this takes it right up.
Check it out.
Same is true for all the spills that do seem to follow me and my kids around.
The microfiber drinks, as you can see, any of it up, you just spray right onto the cloth and wipe down any hard surface.
They're reusable too, guys, so you don't have to worry about running out.
Plus, it's a more eco friendly way to keep your house clean.
And you can find these microfiber cloths and the new multi surface disinfectant spray at retailers nationwide.
I want to thank our trusted sponsor, Partner Libman Company, for making our lives a little bit easier.
