What can the average viewer expect after this five-day tetox plan?
That's a great.
As you know, teas have been used for centuries to help heal the body.
And so when your body, actually, when you guys ingest these teas, the ones that we're going to talk about today, we're actually going to get a shift in our body function.
So for example, you're going to get that pre-digestion bloat go away.
So you're going to start seeing your belly get flatter and shrink.
Obviously, it's not fat loss, but water weight loss.
And of course, these teas will also give you a nice little boosted energy.
So it's a great plan.
All right, you all agree on this?

Yeah.
We worked hard together to make it happen.
So we'll take you all through it.

Let's first start off with the basics.
On any program that's a detox or a cleanse, you have to start with a little bit of limination.
So for five days leading up to the cleanse for five days, I want you to avoid the most processed foods, right?
So none of that really sweet stuff, right?
Nothing with a lot of sugar.
Be careful of the alcohol.
Dairy is an issue just for these five days and then gluten.
Put them all away for five days.
So why is this so critical?
Right.
What most people don't realize, Dr. Ra is that over 75% of our immune system is in our digestive tract.
So when you're eating foods that your body doesn't like or doesn't know how to metabolize, it's going to create inflammation in the body.
And the first response of that is actually weight gain.
So when you eliminate these foods and simply just takes five days, your body will start purging the inflammation and start purging the weight, which is amazing.
So I don't want to worry about sugar anymore because the first step, the first tea we're going to be adding will help conquer your sugar cravings.
It is licorice root iced tea.

You say you make this and then drink it all day long whenever you feel the need to go after one of those processed foods that I just tried to eliminate.
Right.
So licorice root actually comes from a shrub.
It's inherently sweet, just like you think of licorice.
The only thing that I would say with the licorice, if you do have issues with sleep, I would say don't have it past three o'clock because obviously sleep is so imperative, especially when you detox, that you don't want to be up at night.
And the last thing with licorice root, it has something in it called glycerizin in it, which actually can raise your blood pressure.
So if you have any issues with hypertension, just really just keep it to one cup a day.

So why is it so critical?
Why start your day with dandelion tea?
Okay, so dandelion tea is a go-to all-time favorite for detoxifying because it helps protect the liver.
And I love it in the morning because it acts as a diuretic.
So it helps flush you out.
Also, because it acts as a diuretic, it can also help with your digestion and can even help control blood pressure.
And for many people, they like to use this tea as a substitute to coffee.
So if you're trying to get rid of that coffee, this is a great way to go.
Now, you're very passionate about combining the dandelion tea with a protein in the morning, eggs in this case.
Exactly.
And this breakfast is actually from your book, Dr. Oz, and I love it because I am a huge fan of protein in the morning because protein provides satiety.
It helps keep us satisfied through the morning.
And then we also have some flax seeds on here, which I love because they're packed with those omega-3s, which can just help improve your being a little sharp.

I absolutely love the combination of fennel and ginger together.
I mean, it makes such a good combination for after lunch.
I recommend having this tea twice a day, especially after a fatty meal, because it's going to help with your digestion.
And so the other thing that's also interesting is that researchers have found that when you ingest ginger, it actually helps with thermogenesis.
You know, that's that production of heat, and it may help with weight loss.
The other thing that I love about this is that it's caffeine-free.
So, you know, for all those reasons, this is such a great choice for after lunch or twice a day.
So show me how you make it, because this is a detailed program you want you to all follow.
Okay, so here we have some ginger.
This is fresh grated ginger.
You're going to put it in here.
And then we have a little bit of fennel seed.
We're going to add that in.
And then here I actually have maple syrup.
So the one thing I want to say about this is that if you're concerned about your fructose intake, I'm going to suggest maple syrup in place of honey because it has a lower fructose content.
Which means your blood sugar doesn't pump up as quickly?
Exactly, that's right.
And for some people, you know, they experience more gas and bloating with fructose, and so that's why I like the maple syrup.
How many gas and bloating people are there out there?
I know, I know.
Now they're hiding and was avoiding it.
Of course, no one in the entire audience books.
Never.
Right, never, never.
So, I mean, part of the reason the program works is it helps deal with the bloating that happens after a fatty meal.
So in this case, you actually want us to have something more substantive for lunch.
So what would you typically eat?
Okay, so what I'm suggesting here is a vegetarian chili.
One of the things that I think about liquid cleanses is that you always need to have food, right?
You want to make sure that you have a balanced meal throughout the day because then you're not going to be likely to binge and have to cleanse again.
First of all, this tastes great, but a separate issue.
Well, this is a perfect antidote to a lot of issues that I feel because it agrees with your mouth.

Whenever I'm in the colon, whenever I'm in the colon, let me clap it up with a purple glove.

So you take the right amount of sentencing, let's pour it in there, and it gently sort of moves things along.
And as it gets to the right spot, you'll see, oh, oh, perfect.
That's exactly what you want.
Okay.
But let's say you overdo it because a little bit's okay.
More's better, right?
It's America.
All right, so go ahead and pour that in there, baby.
All right.
As you pour that in there, just pour and pour, and you're not paying attention, you begin to get a little crampiness, and eventually, whoa!
Bad problem.
Bad problem.
You don't want this.
Last little stuff coming out unplanned.
Unplanned, which is the biggest issue because the intestinal wall, this lining, when it has too much sentenced, it begins to shoot water in there.
So you get this diarrhea that's not something you want to have because you don't actually hesitate when it happens or not.
So that's why we get a little uncomfortable.
But if you get the right amount, you like it, it'll work for you.
So good?

This is really important because milk thistle, milk thistle can put everything to bed nicely.

So this has been famous in the Mediterranean for centuries.
So in the Mediterranean, they've been using milk thistle tea for years and years and years and years.
And of course, everything from the Mediterranean, I think, is delicious and good for you, right?
But it's also worked for centuries, as you pointed out.

What is it about the new generation that makes them resonate with you so well?
I think millennials have grown up in an environment where they learn self-education is required.
A traditional education makes you like everybody else, and most people are struggling.
So they've been exposed to TED.
They've been exposed to master classes and things like that.
And they have the tools right there wherever they are because their phone's in their pockets.
So they're a different generation.
And I think they're very driven to learn.
They really want to grow.
They want to be the best they can be.
And when you give someone an experience that's that powerful, they don't forget.
And they tell everybody else.
And then social media spreads it.
So our events that used to be like when you went three or four thousand people are like 14, 15,000 people.
I wish I was as cool with my kids as you are.
Like I aspire to that.
All right.
So New Year's resolutions.
Yes.
I've always felt they were important, but a lot of people, not so sure.
I think it's intimidating.
People don't think they can set big goals and reach them.
What's your thought?
Well, I think there's a difference between saying what you want to do next year and actually resolving.
A resolution is supposed to be a resolution where you resolve.
There's a difference saying, I want to do this, and then you try and it gets uncomfortable, your stomach is hungry, or something doesn't work, or exercise doesn't feel good.
But when you resolve something, it means you cut off any possibility except the thing you've committed to.
When something's totally resolved, they promised themselves, I'm going to go until.
Most people's New Year's isn't a resolution.
It's a statement of a couple things I'd like to accomplish.
And without a clear plan and without enough emotion, they're not going to fall through when the tough times come.
Yeah, soft.
Come on over here.
Sure.
Tony today is going to rehab resolution with all of us.
He's going to set us into truly resolving things to do.
Resolutions that will last this year so it is better than last year.
And the first thing that gets you unstuck with has to do with weight loss.
You mentioned hunger pangs?
Yes.
A lot of people, some of you are saying that's a big deal for them.
So I'm going to ask Jenny.
Where's Jenny?
Jenny, come on down, Jenny.
If you told us you wanted to come meet Tony, there he is.
I'll get out of the way.
And again, I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I know that your general sentiment was you don't like the body that you're living in.
Yes, that's right.
So please tell Tony, yes.
Okay, so about...
Has it always been that way, or did it happen at a certain stage of life?
No, it has.
It happened eight years ago when I became a mom.
Okay.
And I never lost the baby weight.
And I kept saying, I'm going to lose weight.
And I would declare, you know, I'd make this big announcement.
I would start eating better.
I would exercise a little, lose a couple of pounds, and then I would lose momentum.
I'd slip back into my old habits.
What is the reason why you would eventually push yourself to start losing?
You get fed up, you get frustrated to a threshold, and you finally say, I got to do something.
What would be the trigger for you?
Yeah, just looking at myself in the mirror and not recognizing myself.
Okay.
So if you want to look at it, I read you wrote a little note that he sent me in advance saying a little bit about how you got here.
And one of the things that you talked about in there is, I guess you run business councils of some sort or whatever.
Yeah, women's networking, yeah.
Right.
And you have your child and you have your life, and yet you feel like you can do anything except weight loss.
Exactly.
That language is correct from you?
Absolutely.
So that's where you have to start because all of us do basically what we believe.
If our beliefs are limited, then our life is limited.
And right now, it sounds like you're in a place called learned helplessness.
And every one of us gets there at times.
Learned helplessness means you start believing nothing will work.
And once you believe that, it's self-fulfilling.
So there's three beliefs that have got to change in you.
Okay.
The first problem is you're starting to think this problem that you have is permanent.
There are no problems that are permanent.
Only your soul is permanent.
I can show you anybody it's been done.
Second one is you think the problem is pervasive.
Because my weight is not where I want it to be, my whole life is messed up.
And it's not true.
You have a beautiful child, you have beautiful business in life, but when you start thinking it's pervasive, you get overwhelmed.
That's right.
And then the third one is you think it's personal.
You think there's something wrong with you.
Yes.
And there's nothing wrong with you.
Here's what you have to be able to do.
We have to shift those beliefs.
And then you have to come up with the right strategy and a different story.
Like you have a story that says nothing works and a different state.
Because when you go to think about dieting or exercising, what most people do is they do extremes.
Like you hit your threshold, okay, I'm going to go on a fast for 20 days.
And the first day you're going, well, juice would be good, and afternoon you're going to burglarily isn't so bad, right?
So when you do extreme dieting, we all know what happens to your body.
Your body goes on survival and it slows down your metabolism and it makes it even worse.
Extreme exercise.
That's why all the people you see on these television shows like the extreme makeover shows, what are they called?
The biggest losers.
Biggest things are.
Almost all of them gain the weight back because they're losing to try to be on TV.
They're losing with extreme dieting, extreme exercise, and it's not sustainable.
You need to lose a half a pound to a pound a week and a gradual way to do it.
You need the right strategy.
So I'm going to bring you to one of my seminars as my guest.

This time of year, you've got to resolve deep down to make this happen.

Yeah, somebody to do it.
But you're in total immersion.
Tools are invaluable, but it's inside of you that's going to happen.

It's debt.
It's money.

He abused me in every possible way.
Did your mom have any idea that this was happening?
She married him.

Up next, we're getting you all unstuck for the thing that stresses you out the most.
And it really hurts me when I see so many of you struggling with this.
It is debt.
So where's Tanya?
Tanya, come on down.
She's hiding up there somewhere.
There she is.
So Tanya told us she wouldn't come on because she wakes up feeling like she's drowning in debt.
Is that true?
Yes, it is.
So if you don't mind, share this story.
And again, I was really struck by the fact that not only are you drowning in debt, but you don't think you could ever pay it back.
And that's hopelessness.
That's right.
We're going to change the day.
Okay, take it away.
Here's the best.
Hi, how are you?
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
Tell me what's the situation.
So year after year, I set out in 2014, 15, 16, just to get rid of my debt.
But with so many things going on, which is the mortgage and cars, and I have three kids and just day-to-day life, I feel like I'm drowning.
Like, I don't even know what to do.
I can't get myself motivated to get out of it.
Well, you're not motivated because it's, again, you're in learned helplessness as well.
The exact same thing.
You believe this problem is permanent, true?
Yes.
And it's pervasive.
It's affecting your whole life.
And it's personal.
There's something wrong.
There's nothing wrong with you.
It is not pervasive.
It's not personal.
But what we need is a different strategy.
And what I can tell you is everybody hears about compounding, this idea of compound growth.
And it's this concept out there.
But I would just give you a sense.
You could take everything if you made one shift.
And that one shift is you have to decide I'm going to become an owner instead of a consumer.
Right now, all the money you have, you consume.
And because you consume it, you're always behind.
The debt is not what's harming you.
It's the fact that you don't have a way to get ahead.
What we need to do is change your own emotion so you don't have the fear about it.
And then the second thing we've got to do with you is got to understand compounding.
So I'll give you an example.
You can take a child and take like a 19-year-old kid and say, listen, if you train it from the beginning, we're going to take $300 out of your faith check.
You're not ever going to see it.
We're going to put it automatically in account.
If you just do that and you put it in the stock market in an index where you get all the best stocks, the largest stocks around, and it's the cheapest price so you're not wasting money on fees, it's grown over the years between 8 and 10%.
If that child at 19 stops at 27, just eight years later, and never does another thing, only put $28,000 in over eight years.
It's not a lot of money.
It's worth $1.8 million when they're 65 years old.
You're kidding.
So compounding is magic.
It allows you to get these huge results from small amounts.
But right now, you're a consumer.
You're spending all your money.
You're getting more and more debt.
And the money you're spending on is not things that are moving you forward, right?
So we need to shift the emotion, and then we need to get a strategy where you start to take a small amount of money, even though you think you can't.
I've shared this with you before.
There's a man to give you an idea that you can do this from UPS.
True story.
Theodore Johnson's his name.
This guy, when he was really young, a person who's like, when I say young, 38, a person came aside and said, he makes $14,000 a year.
He said, I'm going to make you wealthy.
He goes, I'll never be wealthy.
I can't afford to pay my bills.
He said, I'm going to take 20% of your income before you see it and put it in an investment account.
I don't know how to invest.
He said, I can't live on less than $14,000 a year.
He said, look, if the government came by and they put a 20% tax on you, you'd scream, you'd yell, and you'd pay it.
He said, once you don't see it, you'll adjust.
That money grew to $71 million.
He never made more than $14,000.
He gave away $36 million while he was alive.
And so I want you to know compounding can change it.
But do you own your own business?
Did I read that?
Is that correct?
Yes, I do.
Okay, so I have a program called Business Mastery, and it guarantees someone grow their business 100 to 130% within a period of 12 to 18 months.
We have huge businesses, multi-billion dollar businesses, and we have half the rooms people who just started it or less than a million dollars.
What kind of business do you have?

We're back, and it's time for another class day.

So I've heard a little bit, but just tell me for real fast: what if there's one concern you have, what is it for you?
Anxiety.
Anxiety.
And what tends to trigger that?
I just, I feel like I'm at the point in my life where I need to figure out what I'm doing with my life, like right now.
Okay.
And so that pressure inside is really affecting you.
How about for yourself?
Fear of failure, loss.
Okay, and what causes that?
What triggers that most for you?
I've had losses in life.
I've had losses, you know, from my family.
And, you know, I've always been really success-oriented.
So, like, I always want to exceed.
I'm kind of an overachiever in a sense.
And if you don't, it's not consistent with your identity, so it creates a how about for you?
I'm a business owner, and just like getting people on board with my idea, I don't have that niche market.
And so doing my business plan has been so difficult because I'm creating something that's new.
And it's like it's failure almost too, like in a sense, where how do I succeed and get people on board and invest and you know make this world a better place through my idea?
And real quick?
I get overwhelmed and right now I'm overwhelmed because I just found out my mom has stage three ovarian cancer.
And yesterday I was in Toronto with her and literally drove home so I could be here with you.
Wow.
So I could get your perspective on it because I'm trying to stay super positive, but I also have to manage my life.
Yes.
And I live here, so sorting that out.
Let me, in a couple of minutes, let me just introduce all of you to just a simple understanding of concept.
All of you have targets, things that you're after.
If you're going to get a new result, if you're going to grow your business, if you're going to be able to support your mom, if you're going to get rid of the anxiety, if you're going to be able to overachieve and not have all that fear inside of you, you obviously need to get a new result.
You're going to have to get new action.
We all know that.
You don't get new results with old actions.
Doing the same thing.
What human beings can do, this is a human being, believe it or not, I majored in art.
What human beings can do is amazing.
What they will do is usually disappointing.
It's not because we're not capable of it.
It's because we don't have new actions because we get in certain emotional states that dominate us, like anxiety, like fear of failure, right?
Like the fear of the loss of your mother as an example.
So if you're in a state of fear, you're going to behave very differently and get very different results.
That's what that means right there.
Than if you were in a place of being courageous or bold or warm or connected or playful, any of those.
So the most important key to changing your life in any situation is to change results, you got to change behavior.
But to change behavior, you got to change the emotional state you're in.
Now, how do you do that when you don't feel like it, right?
Or it feels overwhelming.
There are two ways.
And I've done this with the greatest athletes in the world.
I've done this with four different presidents in the United States.
I've done it with billionaire clients.
All you have to do to change your state is not try to think your way there, like I'm happy, I'm happy, I'm happy, and do a bunch of affirmations.
Your brain's going to go BS, you are not happy, right?
What you need to do is make a radical change in the way you use what we call your physiology.
It's a big word.
It just means the way you use your physical body.
The way I'm speaking right now, because I got five minutes also, is sped up just a little bit.
But if I said to you, there's a depressed person behind curtain number one over there, and I'll donate $100,000 to your best charity, your favorite charity, if you could describe what they're like physically.
Tell me what's their posture like if they're depressed.
You tell me.
Slumped over.
Slumped.
Where's their head?
Where's their head?
Down.
Down.
Are they breathing full or shallow?
Shallow.
And are they talking really fast or more slow?
Slow.
Loud or quiet?
Probably quiet.
You're all saying the same thing.
How's that possible?
Because you've all practiced this crap before, haven't you?
But here's what you can find.
If you take that same person and you change the tempo at which they move, you bring their shoulders back and change their breathing pattern, if they make a faster gesture, if they speak more rapidly, it fires off a different biochemistry in you.
And in that state, you will take radically different actions.
In fact, I've taught this for 40-something years, 40 years, and about three years ago, Harvard finally did a study where they proved what they did worked, and they called it these power positions.
And what they showed was if you stand, everyone can try this, stand up just for a moment if you want, everybody at home can try it as well.
See something really silly.
Put both your hands on your hips like Wonder Woman or Superman or that stuff, right?
If you stand like this and you breathe deep for just two minutes, what the science found was that you will absolutely increase your testosterone by 20%, man or woman.
You'll drop your cortisol, which as you know, is the stress hormone, by 22%, and you're 33% more likely to take action if you wouldn't have before because fear would have stopped you.
Now, I don't have people just stand like this.
I have people move, use their voice, make radical changes in their bodies.
You can have a seat just to get a feel.
I know we're short on time, but you can try it later and you'll feel it after two minutes.
Or, you know, somebody who's, you know, puts their arms back like this and their feet up, that'll produce the same state.
It produces more certainty in you.
And that certainty gets you to take different actions.

So Tony says everyone needs to create a strategy.
What does that mean?
So if you are in a situation, you think of the worst scenario, your mom dying, no, my business goes under, I never achieve it the level I need to, all the things I have anxiety about, the minute you focus on them, you go into those states of fear, and then you behave fearful and you get lousy results.
And we get lousy results.
What does it do to your brain?
You go, see, I told you I couldn't do this.
It becomes this negative loop.
So how do we break out of it?
We change our focus by asking better questions.
Everybody in this room can try this.
Just right now, ask this, answer this question in your mind.
What is it in your life that you're proud of?
If there's something you could feel really proud of right now by focusing on it, your children, yourself, something you accomplished, you did, how many think of something you could feel proud of?
And I don't mean fake pride, ego pride, like where you're making things up.
I mean, well, you really did something you're proud of.
Good.
Right now, close your eyes and focus on how it feels when you're really proud.
Focus on that moment you're proud of.
How do you breathe when you feel really proud?
And if you're a little kid, what happens to your face when you're really proud?
You don't hide it, right?
There's that big smile on your face.
Raise your hand if you can feel these feelings right now.
Everyone here, just say aye if you got it.
Aye.
Awesome.
Try one more real fast.
Think of something that you could be really grateful for or excited.
Pick either one.
Something you could be grateful for, a person, a moment, or something if you wanted to that you could be excited about.
That you was excited for a moment.
How many could think of something in your life that if you focused on it, you could feel excited?
All right?
Close your eyes.
And just for a moment, all we're doing is changing your focus.
Focus on what could excite you.
Feel like it's really happening.
Your mom's healing.
You break through in the business.
You're achieving the level you want.
Anxiety is rid from my life.
I'm on charge.
I'm on top of it.
How do you breathe when you feel really excited?
And then try this.
When you're a little kid, you probably made noises, the hell of it, until people told you not to.
Make a noise of excitement, a sound of excitement.
Go ahead with your bodies.
Do it again.
Do it again.
One more.
Woo!
Open your eyes.
How many feel that feeling in your body right now?
So if we change the state you're in just by changing our focus or the way you use our bodies strongly.
Now, if you say, I'm going to change my body, like I have people do fire walks sometimes or skydiving, and you go, they're scared and they go, Mr. Robinson said that I should change my physiology.
Okay.
Oh, shoot, it didn't work.
It's got to be a radical change, right?
Here's my question for all of you.
If you focus on what you want, life has probabilities.
There's no guarantees.
But you increase them when you change your state.
And that's really what this is all about.
Learning to change your body and learning to change your focus.

Now we married elements from both the paleo and the vegan diets for optimal weight loss that's sustainable and it's less restrictive.
So many of you are already getting started and you're using all the tools like a daily checklist and the shop list.
I'm so proud of you.
Now many of you are asking how to survive the weekend without falling off the Pegan 365.
How do you not make a mistake on the weekends?
I've got two tips for you.
The first weekend obstacle, of course, is drinking.
I've been there.
I know you want to relax sometimes.
This plan actually allows for two alcoholic drinks per week.
We know that with drinking comes water weight.
So here's an insider tip from our good friend Chris Powell.
Hey, what's up?
It's me, Chris Powell.
Now, if you want to enjoy an alcoholic beverage this season, that's totally fine.
But keep in mind, alcohol is a powerful diuretic.
Means it's gonna flush a lot of the water and the electrolytes out of your system.
Now, that's gonna leave you with a horrible hangover the next morning and unwanted bloating and water retention for about three days.
Now, to prevent this, here's the secret: what you wanna do is you wanna grab like a just a basic electrolyte powder or an electrolyte tablet so you can get at your local grocery store.
It looks something like this.
You want to grab a couple of those and you're gonna put them into a quart of water.
You're gonna drink this the night that you're actually drinking those one, two, or maybe more drinks, those alcoholic drinks.
And you're gonna go ahead and put that down before you go to sleep.
That way, the next morning when you wake up, no hangover and no unwanted bloating for the next three days.

Now, this plan allows for two healthy desserts per week.

Are you feeling well on it?
I am feeling great.
Yeah, this is, I'm in past just past two weeks with this.
I've lost six pounds.
Oh, and yeah, thanks.
And I feel awesome.
My energy levels are super balanced, which is very rare.
Usually, you have that spike in that fall at the end of the day.
But with this, I've just been feeling great.
Good vibes all around.
Well, part of the reason I'm getting such good feedback is we have sweets on this plant.
I know you all want your sweets.
Oh, yeah.
So, tell us what you have made for yourself that we can also copy.
Yeah, okay.
So, I have two awesome desserts here.
Super easy.
Here we have a coconut oil dark chocolate peppermint truffle.
Oh, incredible.
And then look at the inside of that.
Oh, yeah.
How do you make these?
So these are super easy.
So the base for this is only two ingredients: really great quality dark chocolate and coconut oil.
And so you basically melt it all together, then you let it, you can add.
So for this, I added some peppermint oil for the peppermint flavor as well as vanilla.
And then you just let it sit, put it in the fridge, wait a couple hours, then use like a melon ball or a little scoop and make the cute little truffles.
And then you can use cocoa powder on the outside.
Or I crushed up some peppermint for this one.
I thought it's crunchy and fudgy at the same time.
And here's the great thing: so the chocolate in that is actually used for the ganache on the bottom of this.
Oh, what's this?
So this is an awesome, super easy, no-baked coconut bar.
So basically, again, super simple.
It has natural sweetener.
It has regular just coconut flakes.
Yeah.
Some vanilla.
And then I took the same chocolate ganache that I used to make the truffles, but instead of adding the peppermint, I just left it as it is and just basically added a layer of the chocolate and then flipped it and put it in the fridge.
This took both of these take less than 15 minutes to make.
So anybody can do it.
You should go in the business making these are so darn good.
