Amazing transformations you have to see to believe.
I've been born again.
See what they did to lose all the weight and it wasn't surgery.
These stories are motivation that you need.
Then everyone's talking about flush drinks.
The claim eliminate toxins and fats from your body to give you a flatter stomach in no time.
But are they safe?
Courgium expert Chris Powell put them to the test.
Coming up next, we'll save lives today.
We are great, we are healthy.
Amazing transformations you have to see to believe.
Now the women you're about to meet lost more than 1,000 pounds combined, all without surgery.
So if you're sitting at home right now and think you can't do this, well, this is a show for you because these stories are motivation that you need.
Now today, these women are going to show you exactly what they ate to lose literally half their weight.
Then we're going to investigate a huge trend that's taken over the weight loss world.
They're called flush drinks.
They promise to slim down your stomach in no time.
But do they work and are they safe?
And I've got extreme weight loss guru Chris Powell because he's back with a plan for anyone who needs to quickly reverse the damage of overeating.
But first, I want you to meet three women, Veronica, Nina, and Tiffany.
Now, each of them took the first steps towards extreme weight loss for a different reason.
After gaining 100 pounds, Tiffany's weight peaked at 250 pounds.
She was tired of being what she called herself, which was the fat wife with the skinny husband.
At 320 pounds, Nina had a fear of weight loss surgery and it put her in a weight loss crossroad.
And at 457 pounds, Veronica received a fourth generation diabetes diagnosis and needed to lose weight to save her life.
Now all three of these women are here today to show you exactly what they ate to become half their size.
We're going to start off with Veronica who lost 267 pounds.
Come on out.
Yes, I do.
Thank you.
You really do.
Thank you.
I feel amazing.
Well, describe that.
You should.
I feel like a million dollars.
If a million dollars could feel like me in a red dress right now.
Losing half your body weights.
Pretty cool.
Yeah, it's totally cool.
So I did something.
I got your little model over here.
Come over here.
I want you to see a representation of the fat.
And here it is.
Oh, God.
And you're welcome to touch it and caress it, but you got rid of this.
So what does it feel like to realize that you got rid of this?
It's disgusting.
I can't even believe that this was on my body at some point.
And I hope that it's never there ever again.
So here's the question.
What exactly did Veronica eat to lose 267 pounds?
Well, she kept a food diary to show you exactly how she did it.
Who says you can't still enjoy breakfast classics?
A protein bar is a good way to help you fill up and satisfy that sweet teeth.
This is a healthy option that's really easy to put together.
It amazes me that something so good can also be so good for you.
Pork can be a really good source of protein if you get a nice lean cut.
Very well done, Veronica.
So what was your overall strategy for losing that much weight?
My first strategy was just to get up and get started.
And what I did was I started simply and I advise anyone, do what you can.
I started cutting out sodas and I ate less at every meal.
That was my main strategy at first.
And once I started doing that and developing those healthier patterns, it became easier.
And not only did it become easier, but I wanted to do more.
I wanted to exercise and I thank you.
Let's speak about that a little bit.
You had that purple dress we actually have over there in that banner of yours.
Yes.
That dress apparently played a little bit of role in this whole process, including the exercise you mentioned.
Yes.
I wore that dress pretty much every day because it was really the only thing that I could fit.
I didn't want to invest a whole lot of money in super fat clothes.
And when it came time to start working out and going to the gym, of course, when you want to go to the gym, you want to look good and you want to wear something comfortable.
But I didn't have anything like that.
I had that purple dress.
So that's what I wore.
And I did not let that become a determining factor to stop me from achieving the goals that I wanted to give.
So what happened to the purple dress?
I finally got rid of it.
I think I kept it for, I don't know what reason.
I guess to remind myself where I was, but I finally destroyed it because I just never wanted to get back in that dress ever again.
Thank you for sharing the story.
Thank you.
All right, next, I want you to meet me.
Now, remember, at her heaviest, she was 320 pounds.
But as of today, she's lost 160 pounds.
Come on out, Nina.
Thank you for having me.
Well, I'm excited to see you.
So what's it like to lose half your body weight?
It's indescribable.
I can't even explain.
Like, it's almost like not real sometimes.
It's amazing.
Well, you're very real to me.
So your story is interesting to me because your doctors, in an effort to help you, actually almost threatened you that you should have weight loss surgery.
Yeah, I mean, that was the suggestion.
But thank God I had a doctor who was very honest about the process.
He basically walked me through what would happen to my body.
And he asked me a really important question.
He asked me, what have you tried?
And as I went through like the ideas of all the diets and things that I had done, the one thing that kept coming up was I never really committed to anything.
So how can I commit to this permanent change to my body?
And like I actually never actually committed to something that you know could make it better forever in a healthier way.
Isn't that cool that you'd have that breakthrough?
Yeah.
Because a lot of people think I've done everything, hasn't worked.
And when you really challenge yourself, you realize there's some really important things you haven't gotten to.
Yeah, like exercise.
Like exercise.
But for most people, it's actually the foods even more than the exercise.
And I love hearing the stories because usually it starts with the small little things and then it builds up ultimately things like exercise.
But we all have vices.
And those vices trip us up.
What was yours?
Well, I was addicted to coffee and cigarettes.
Like that was all day long.
It was like coffee, one Frappuccino after the other.
Like it was just, I mean, I probably consumed about 2,000 to 3,000 calories daily in drinks.
When you don't realize it, because you're thinking, I'm not eating anything.
You know, like, how am I continuously gaining weight?
I'm not eating anything.
You're consuming tons of sugar and calories a day.
Come over here.
I made you a little mock-up of something.
I made you your own extra large Frappuccino.
In fact, this is a representation of what you would have even just in part of the year.
So when you see this Frappuccino little mock-up we made, what do you feel?
I mean, I don't have words.
I really, I just look at it as like a life that's almost not real, like a history, you know, like, I don't know, almost like a bad dream, I guess.
You know, like that endless coffee and cigarettes, you know, now I actually just have my coffee black, which is, but it was a transition, you know, where everyone like will look at people.
I look at you and I look at this.
Yeah.
And I sort of visual in my mind, I see this coming out of you.
And it was those simple habits that so many people at home right now are wandering through life with, blind actually, to the fact that they've got these little vices.
Even with like the endless juices or like the fruit smoothies, some of them have tons of sugar and calories and they're not actually, you know, fruits.
No, no, they're not.
I wanted to know what Nina actually ate to lose 160 pounds.
Take a look.
It's important for me to have a little extra protein at every meal.
So I add some chicken sausage to my scrambled eggs each morning.
Early in the day, I like to eat light.
What could be lighter than a snack that's mostly air?
Salads like this are nutrient-dense, but not calorie-dense.
So they fill you up without adding the extra pounds.
A little sweet a day keeps the cravings away.
In addition to being a good source of protein, salmon is also rich in omega-3s.
So how do you do it?
How do you stick to that plan?
Well, I think the best thing that I, the best advice that I can give is to make a plan and prepare your meals in advance.
So I've been eating the same breakfast for four years and everyone will be like, don't you get tired of it?
But I mean, for me, it's like, you know, just the nutrition part of it.
Like, this is what I need to eat.
And I just do.
And I do.
I'm proud of you.
That seems, this is amazing.
But if losing this much weight seems impossible, wait until you meet Tiffany.
And she lost over 100 pounds.
But here's the catch.
She did it in less than a year.
Find out how?
That is next.
Size 28 to a size 2.
I'm Sherry Harris and I have lost 181 pounds.
I have battled weight in my entire life.
I really just want to reach out to that person who thinks that they cannot lose weight through just lifestyle changes like I once thought that I couldn't.
And look at me now.
Coming up, our next amazing transformation.
She dropped almost half her weight in just eight months.
What is it that allowed you to make this remarkable transition?
For anyone who feels losing weight takes too long, her success story may change your mind.
Next.
Botched surgeries you have to see to believe.
She went in for a tummy tuck and left with a gaping hole in her stomach.
It was like the size of a soft bucket.
We investigate surgery's gone horribly wrong.
I was just mortified.
Russ, he's the plastic surgeon who plasters procedures all over social media.
Do you ever feel that it might exploit the privacy of your patients?
All nuas.
Are you addicted to fame?
That's coming up tomorrow.
Today were many women who dropped half their body weight.
And for anyone who feels like losing weight takes too long, Tiffany's story, well, might change your mind.
At her heaviest, Tiffany weighed 250 pounds.
But she's here today to show you how she lost over 100 pounds in just eight months.
Tiffany, come on out.
I mean, I am speechless.
That is remarkable, Tiffany.
Come on over.
I got to say, there's probably a moment, we all have them, when things change for us.
Yes.
And I'm wondering what it was like when you stepped on the scale for the first time and saw 250 and you realized you had a long way to go to lose the weight you wanted to lose.
Well, I was absolutely devastated when I saw that I'd weighed that much because quite honestly, I had put on the weight and I was just making up excuses for myself.
I was avoiding the mirror.
I was saying, oh, they're just making that's a lot of difference we just saw in that picture.
Right.
They're making clothing smaller now.
Don't worry about it.
But when I stepped on the scale, it was a reality check for me.
So share us the secret.
What is it that allowed you to make this remarkable transition?
Well, I would definitely say I used the calories in, calories out method.
So I took my calories all the way down to about 1,200 a day.
And I slowly got in the gym.
My first day, I did 10 minutes on the elliptical, and it was painful, and my knees ached, and I was exhausted.
But I went back and I just learned how to be very consistent.
And after the first week, I saw that I lost five pounds and I was so excited.
And that's what kind of kept me going.
Why 1,200?
Why that number?
Why not 1,000 or 500?
Well, for two reasons.
One is because I actually did a little research and I found that 1,200 is the lowest that you should ever take your calories without destroying your metabolism.
And I also learned that I was an emotional eater because whenever I'd get closer to the end of my calories, I'd start to feel a little sad.
Oh my.
And I was wondering, well, are your emotions connected to your eating?
So that's also part of the reason.
So I want to show everyone what you actually did.
Here's what 1,200 calories a day looks like for Tiffany.
In the morning, I enjoy eating very simple.
Well, you know what they say about one of these a day.
Chicken salad is a great way to get in some veggies while still getting to enjoy a sandwich.
Yogurt is a pleasant way to hold me over to dinner.
I've discovered a way to still enjoy the pasta I love.
Who doesn't like desserts?
How about one that's still pretty healthy?
I'm surprised to see that you ate bread.
I didn't expect that.
Yeah, I do.
I start my day off with bread.
Now it is the 50 calorie per slice bread, so it is a little bit lower in calories than normal breads, the whole grain.
And I also do that for another reason because I eat the bread before I go workout.
And so since I know that carbs is a formal fuel, I use that as my fuel for my workout.
Come on over here.
I want you to show me something.
I know you were exercise.
You talked about the being on the elliptical.
But I know you do something that you find very valuable for you.
Let me kick off my shoes for this.
Please kick it off.
Whatever worked for you, tell us it because we got people who want to do it.
Okay, so this is one of my favorites because you don't have to be at the gym.
Now, what I do is single arm jabs.
You're so face-to-face at camera.
Get these shoes out of yourself and ship on them.
Okay.
Sure.
Now, all you have to do is one arm, and you do this for about one full minute continuously.
You don't have to have a gym.
You don't even have to stand up.
But it gets the blood pumping.
And then you do the same thing other side.
Just for the upper arm.
Why was that more valuable than using your legs?
Well, for me, it was because I had problems with my knees at the time.
My knees would ache after long periods of exercise.
And this was a great way for CARD.
Everyone at home, watch what Tiffany is saying.
Get up right.
No, use cans of beans, doesn't matter.
Start right now during the commercial break with the right arm.
And when we come back, I got a plan for anyone who feels alone in their weight loss journey.
Four friends, for them.
I'm going to show you how they lost a total of 422 pounds.
Stay here.
My name is Chris Cecier, and I've lost 198 pounds through eating healthy and being active.
I've come so far from being on a walker and physically limited, sticking myself with insulin twice a day, to running half marathons and actually enjoying life.
I've not only changed my life, but my family's as well.
Together, we've lost around 500 pounds.
I am a certified personal fitness trainer, and it's amazing.
Next, the road to losing weight doesn't have to be a lonely one.
Meet four gym buddies who each lost half their body weight together.
I don't know if you appreciate how big a deal this is.
Their support tips on how to make dieting easier and more enjoyable.
Next.
Hi, my name is Leticia Tapasakis.
I was the first group of the day-off diet, and I'm really excited.
I've lost 18 pounds in total.
It's been about three months.
I've been able to get the weight off and keep it off.
I'm so thankful for the day off.
I just want to say thank you.
I'm a total weight loss winner in this because I've been able to get this weight off that hasn't come off in years.
And I want to say thank you, Dr. Oz, and all the team of doctors and nutritionists that came up with his diet.
Thank you so much.
I love that story that thousands of you are losing weight on the day off diet, just like Leticia.
Now, when we launched a day-off diet, we teamed up with Mike Berlin, one of the biggest pollsters in the country, to see how you felt about dieting.
And one surprising result was this: 65% of you said that dieting is lonely.
I never thought about that.
You felt all by yourself, isolated because you couldn't do things because food is so social.
So I wanted to change that.
So today, I want you to meet four gym buddies from Connecticut who each lost half their body weight.
I combined 422 pounds.
Come on out.
Amy, who lost 104 pounds.
Orlene lost 90 pounds.
Brooke lost 120 pounds.
Sheena lost 108 pounds.
And there they are.
Oh my goodness.
Absolutely unbelievable.
I mean, every time I see women who've been able to do this, I'm stunned.
I don't know if you appreciate how big a deal this is.
Jamie, how did you all meet?
You know, we actually didn't know each other before going to the gym.
So when I joined the gym, I joined alone and I actually met them at a group class.
At a group class?
Or actually, that's Amy's big tip for everybody, that you need to start taking group classes to avoid being lonely.
I mean, I get the part that you'd meet each other, but what made you gel and bond?
You know, accountability.
You know, to know that if I didn't go to those classes, they'd be doing it alone, and I didn't want to let them down.
Amazing.
Thank you very much.
Arlene's with us.
How do having the support make you more likely to succeed?
It's so much easier when you have somebody and when you have a group of girls who are going through the exact same thing that you're going through and they understand you and they're there to motivate you and inspire you at the same time.
All right, so Arlene's tip is to start a group text chat.
I can see how they can avoid making you lonely, but how do you actually coordinate?
What are the logistics of this?
Well, one day I was just like, let me just have a talk with all my girls.
So we started a group chat and we named it FitFam.
FitFam.
Yep, FitFam.
And we just, you know, I said, hey, everybody, this is FitFam, and we're just going to be here, motivate each other, inspire each other, and just talk to each other.
So if Amy was late, would you torture her?
Yes, I would.
You go after each other.
Yes.
Would that intimidate you?
Nah.
Nah.
We're all tough.
All right.
Brooke's here.
So what's different about losing weight when you do it in a group rather than trying to do it all by yourself?
Okay, so I actually lost 60 pounds on my own and then I lost another 60 pounds.
Thank you.
It's incredible.
And I lost another 60 after I met FitFam and it was more rewarding losing the second half because I knew that I had a strong support system and a lot of strong women motivating me.
All right, so you argued to avoid making dieting a lonely endeavor, you want to celebrate outside the gym.
Celebrations can be dangerous sometimes.
Found a few of your friends there.
And you keep each other honest when you go out?
Yeah.
So what if someone orders a pizza?
What do you say?
Can I have some of that?
I love a holiday steak.
Those friends do.
They tell the truth.
Now, Sheena, you've been labeled as the strong member of the group.
How'd you get that moniker?
It's probably because out of the four of them, I'm the oldest and wisest.
No.
Actually, because I'm more of like the motivator.
We all motivate each other, but when they have times where they may be going through something or something, I'm always there, the positive, you know, uplifting.
And I'm more vocal than the four of them in the four of them.
So you have a very interesting tip to get past the loneliness of dieting.
It's to actually go out and get a training session that is free at your gym.
First of all, I didn't know there were free training sessions.
Don't they always charge?
Well, the free is to get you in there and then they start charging.
So yes, with the initial membership, you did get a free training session.
So that kind of helps you to start your journey.
So if you really want to do this, you sit down, they help you map it out, but at the end of the day, it's up to you.
But then you meet a trainer who expect you to your friend.
So you mentioned the trainers.
Come on over.
I've got your trainers here.
We corral them.
These are the trainers that help them lose half their body weight.
Carlos, Brandon, and Zach.
Nice to meet you all.
Congratulations.
And the trainers told me how hard you guys have worked.
You did, right?
Nod your heads.
Yes, they did.
They worked really hard in order to get ready for a huge challenge that you're going to do together called the Tough Mutter.
You guys can get ready for this thing?
Yes.
All right.
Well, a little surprise for you.
We actually reached out to the Tough Mutter group.
Wonderful folks.
They have waived your registration fees.
Hand them over, guys.
And we got your t-shirts so we can follow your journey.
These are, here, hold that up here.
You're going to say the Dr. Oz Tough Mutter t-shirt.
We're going to have you follow through.
We're going to bring you back and share your story.
And keep hugging and loving and make it happen.
I'm very proud of you guys.
Up next, Chris Powell's here.
We're investigating one of the biggest trends in weight loss right now.
Flesh drinks.
Be right back.
Next, it's the latest diet drink creating buzz.
Do they really deliver on their promise?
You're supposed to detoxify the body, and here we are putting these chemicals back into your body.
Core team expert Chris Powell puts them to the task.
We separate the good from the bad.
Next.
Bosch surgeries.
First time he tucked left a gaping hole in her stomach.
It was like the size of a soft bucket.
We investigate surgeries, gone horribly wrong.
I was just mortified.
All duas.
That's coming up tomorrow.
There's a huge trend taking over social media.
Flush drinks.
They're everywhere from Facebook and Pinterest to Instagram and Twitter.
The claim, eliminate toxins and fats from your body to give you a flatter stomach in no time.
But do they work?
And are they safe?
Today, what you need to know about flush drinks, and who better to shed some light on these new drinks than extreme weight loss expert and my core team member, Chris Powell.
I don't know.
I thought they were going to trip you.
I know, right?
I got to be careful going down those stairs.
So these flush drinks, what makes them so popular?
They're exciting, these claims of losing five pounds in three days.
And I mean, there's so much going on that they promise.
And of course, we are a quick fix society.
We're looking for that instant gratification.
So I get it.
When you're promising those big results, hey, it's easy for people to buy in.
And what does flush mean to you as an expert in the area?
So if you actually like define the word flush, it's a rush of fluid.
That's what I was.
Think about like flushing a toilet.
The only thing is, though, you can't flush fat in the body.
You can flush liquids.
So it's a little bit of a false promise, which is why we went shopping for these drinks.
And we found they have a whole host of ingredients.
And Chris, I want you to slowly walk everyone through what happens when you look at the back on the supplement facts of these.
So first off, you'll see something that looks like that.
Distilled water, which I thought was pretty good, distilled water.
Right.
The only thing is with distilled water, when we drink water, we need water with electrolytes in it.
It's those natural salts that occur that hold water in our body.
Distilled water is completely cleaned out of all of those electrolytes.
They also have a lot of herbs in them.
Yes, and these are the common denominators that we see along pretty much through all of these flushes.
We see dandelion root, we see Uber Ursi, we see burdock root, we see some slippery elm in there.
Once again, all these, they're natural diuretics.
The only thing is that you see a whole host of them in one.
And so like basically, they're all trying to do a lot of the same thing, and that's to push that water out of your system.
And we also noticed that there was caffeine, a common denominator.
So once again, caffeine, it is a natural diuretic, but it also has some laxative properties in there.
So it's really powerful at, once again, ridding those fluids.
So it makes sense.
It does.
And how about the laxatives themselves?
You'll see laxatives in slippery elm, cascara sagradin, and a host of other different laxatives in there.
Once again, it's these massive concoctions to rid your body of these fluids.
Now, the thing for me is that when you look at the very bottom, usually they will say something like microcrystalline cellulose, artificial flavors.
I mean, why are they important?
Well, and you've tasted some of those herbs that we were actually just like naming just prior to this.
They're extremely bitter.
Let's be honest, they're kind of disgusting.
And so it's important that you put some kind of sweetener, some kind of flavors in there to make it taste good.
But the irony of the situation here is that these are supposed to detoxify the body, and here we are putting these chemicals back into your body.
So let's help our audience.
With all these flush drinks that are currently on the market, Chris and I are going to separate the good from the bad.
The first category are these flush drinks promising weight loss.
Explain what these are.
How do people know what they are?
What do they promise?
So check out some of these promises.
I mean, we've got designed to leave you feeling lighter, slimmer, and more energetic in just five days.
I read that and I think, well, wow, I want to feel lighter and slimmer in just five days.
That's fantastic.
It's these quick fix results that people are like, oh, I'm in.
I want that.
All right, so we're concerned about this category.
The next category, however, are the flush drinks they sell at juice bars.
What are these and what are they good for?
What are they bad for?
Personally, I'm a fan of these.
And the reason being is that if you actually look at the ingredients that go into these, they're real whole natural foods.
We're talking grapefruit, prune juice, lemon, lime.
This is real food right here.
And it's good for you.
Yeah.
And then these are a little more expensive.
They are a little bit more expensive.
That is the one catch.
So you can expect to pay nine, 10 bucks sometimes for these things.
But again, there's a lot of reasons for that, particularly because if you look at the back, it's only real food.
Okay, the final category are the DIY flush drinks.
So we did a little experiment for the show.
I'm going to do it for you right now.
So I went to our Pinterest page, right?
And notice what I put in there, flush drinks.
Ready?
Watch.
These are literally pages and pages of flush drinks.
I mean, I can go on for a long time.
And you'll never run out of lists for these DIY flush drinks.
So should we trust these do-it-yourself versions on Pinterest and everywhere else on the web?
To be honest, I'm a huge fan of these.
Reason being, first and foremost, they're a fraction of the cost of some of these juice bar drinks, but also they're educational.
Most of them have those real whole natural ingredients as well.
So they're just different fun concoctions with fruits and vegetables that are delicious.
And if anything, they're just going to nourish your body.
Yeah, yeah.
How much harm can you do with this honey, ginger, lemons?
You know, there's a strawberry there.
I mean, these are real foods.
Apple cider vinegar.
Yeah, we got grapefruit.
We got orange juice and lemon juice.
Yeah, it's fantastic, delicious stuff.
Your number one choice is this one then.
It is.
Yeah, without a doubt.
DIY is the way to go.
All right, up next.
Cheap and easy flush drink recipe you need to know in this DIY category.
Stay with us.
Next, whether you're looking to jumpstart weight loss or need a remedy to the occasional hangover, Chris Powell's got the DIY alternatives to store-bought flush drinks.
Pay close attention.
This will change your life forever.
Smash recipes with fast results.
Next.
Congratulations to Dr. Oz, winner of the 2016 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
I'm Chris Powell talking about a new trend that many of you are turning to for fast weight loss results, these flush drinks.
So I put up a poll on DrOz.com to see why you are looking for flush drinks.
What are the top three reasons you need them?
First reason, it jumpstarts a weight loss plan.
Then as Latia said, hangover cure.
A little surprise so many of you said that, but maybe I don't know about any better.
And undue damage from overeating was the third major category.
Are you surprised by these results?
Gosh, no, not at all.
I think, I mean, I speak for most of us here.
Most of us have definitely found ourselves in that position, right?
Where you've eaten a little too much or you're looking to jumpstart some weight loss or the occasional hangover cure.
I think we've all been there every once in a while, right?
So in order to figure this out, you all know we've already decided the DIY flush drinks are better than the store-bought ones, which are often making bold and sometimes false claims.
So I'm going to give you some DIY solutions.
Chris has the flush drink recipes you all need to address all three of these reasons.
We'll start with the first one, the jumpstart a weight loss plan.
Come on back here.
And I want to meet Giselle.
How are you, Giselle?
What's going on in your life?
What's the weight loss plan you want to jumpstart?
Well, yeah, I'm always falling off the weight loss bandwagon.
I go on, I go off.
So I really need something to kind of help me jumpstart things again.
You know, summer's coming up and I just want to get back on track.
Chris, take it away.
All right, I got the answer for you.
Like, I'm a huge fan of carb cycling.
That's what I've always done.
That's what I do with all of my clients.
Now, what we've got here, actually, is two different breakfasts.
They've got this exact same base.
It's a chocolate whey protein and almond milk.
But oats in this one, then I blended peanut butter into this one for a low carb shake.
So this one I got a good 30, 40 grams of carbohydrate.
This one's only got about five to seven.
Give it a taste, see what you think.
This is the low carb one, which is the one that's actually the more challenging one for most folks.
Mmm.
It's like peanut butter chocolatey taste.
It's rich.
Unbelievable, isn't it?
You know what I really love about this also is that when you're actually starting your breakfast like this, you're starting your day, it's like, okay, I'm beginning with a high carb day.
It also jumpstarts your mind.
So you're committing to that low carb day with your breakfast and you're good to go.
Hope that's helpful to go.
Take it with you.
Next day, this hangover category that I was so surprised by.
So let me ask you audience: who in the audience feels they might want to come down and admit they've had an issue with a hangover in the last week or two.
I see all these hands popping up.
Oh my goodness, there's a lot of hands.
All right.
Thank you for your honesty, everybody.
That's right.
There's some people wobbling in the back.
Man, come on down.
That blue blouse.
How are you?
What's your first day?
Michelle.
I'm Michelle.
Come on, it's Chris.
How are you doing?
So, Michelle, describe the hangover on behalf of all the other folks who didn't get picked up to come down.
When I have a hangover, my head is just pounding.
My stomach gets really queasy, and I just feel just so tired, just really tired.
Chris, help us with both the physical signs, but also the tiredness.
Pay close attention.
This will change your life forever.
Can you drink alcohol and get away with it without the hangover?
Absolutely.
Now, here's the catch.
You're welcome also to drink flush.
So here's the deal: alcohol will flush your system.
It is a diuretic.
And so because you're dehydrated overnight, that's what causes that pounding headache and subsequent water retention for several days afterward.
The key here is prevention.
So what you do is, say you go out for a night of drinking, having fun with the girls, all this other good stuff.
You go home before you go to bed.
What we want to do is we want to put some kind of electrolyte powder or tablet in your body.
I mean, it's a bunch of different kinds out.
There's emergency, there's cliff, there's airborne, there's all these different kinds.
Take two packets or two tablets.
Got it right here.
Put it into a quart of water.
Get mixing.
Stir it up.
Stir it up.
And down the hatch.
You wake up the next morning, no headache, no hangover, you're good to go.
Really?
Yes.
Take these back to the audience.
They need it.
Chris dropped us over there.
All right.
The audience desperately needs these.
Listen, take it over them.
That's what they've been asking for.
We cover two of the three biggest reasons people use flush drinks.
When we come back, Chris says you can undo the damage from overeating and do it now.
Stay with us.
Next date, you can't hit the rewind button after a night of overindulging.
How many of you have done this?
You're like, okay, now I got to start cutting back.
Chris shows us how you can with a simple flush day plan.
Oh, that's good.
What to eat from breakfast to dinner to repair your body.
Next.
Bosch surgeries.
First time he tucked left a gaping hole in her stomach.
It was like a size of a soft buff.
We investigate surgeries gone horribly wrong.
I was just mortified.
All duas.
That's coming up tomorrow.
We've all overindulged, but the good news is that Chris Powell says you can hit the rewind button after overeating.
So I want him to help us all of us understand what happens to your body coming off a binge.
Well, let's take a look at the scale and let's let that tell the tale, all right?
So here's what's going to happen.
After a major binge, say you go big on a Saturday with some pizza, some soda, some ice cream, all this other good stuff.
You step on the scale, you're weighing 153 pounds.
Before you go out that night.
This is before, yeah, before all the damage occurs, okay?
You know that the scale is gonna go up a little bit because you're certainly feeling it, right?
The next day, so you step on the scale.
Okay, it says 155, a couple pounds, you're like, okay, I got away with it.
Now, granted, I'm gonna shoot you straight here.
Those calories that you consumed, they already found a home.
They are partitioned into muscle and fat.
There's some sitting in there and fecal matter and all that other good stuff.
And you're thinking, okay, we're good to go.
But then, and I'm sure this will resonate with a lot of us here, you step on the scale the next day and you're like, wait a second, it just went up again.
What's going on?
Okay, now I got a diet, right?
How many of you have done this?
You're like, okay, now I got to start cutting back.
Now I got to pull carbs.
Now I got to do all this other stuff.
And then you're like, okay, maybe the next day, okay, I ate really well.
And then what's going to, oh my gosh, what's going on?
I hear a lot of people laughing and I see a lot of people nodding their heads.
You know exactly what I'm talking about.
So what happened, if we rewind back to day one, when you binged, when you ate all that food, there's a lot of sugar and there's a lot of sodium there as well.
When you ingest all of that, your body's going to go through about a three-day water wave where it's simply retaining and retaining and retaining.
You might have gained a fraction of a pound of fat with all the calories that you consumed.
But when you step on the scale and you see it go up five or six pounds, you freak out for three to four days.
By Tuesday, you forgot about what happened on Saturday.
That's where we go wrong.
And then now let's go toward Wednesday and you're thinking, oh my gosh, because I cut calories on Tuesday, da-da-da-da-da, now it's starting to help me out.
No, it's just the water wave coming right back down into Thursday and then that's why Friday you think you can binge again.
So the question is what can we do?
Yeah.
What can we do here when we binge to get through this to flush it out of us?
So we've got a flush plan for you that's going to help overwhelm the body's desire to hold on to those pounds and get rid of some of the damage from overeating.
So I suspect you should start this the next day, right?
Absolutely.
Immediately after it happens.
Yep, you bet.
Because you know it's going to be about a three-day water wave that we're trying to prevent here.
We can actually turn that into two or even one day if the right methods are followed, okay?
So right off the bat, you know that you've taken in a lot of sodium, your body's going to try to retain a lot of water for those three days.
So we need to start, number one, flushing your body with the right amounts of liquid.
So I'll take a gallon of water and I'll just brew up some dandelion root tea.
It's amazing stuff.
It's a natural diuretic.
It's really easy and gentle on the system.
So I'll simply sip on this for the next couple days.
Brew up that gallon first thing in the morning and just start sipping on it throughout.
Seven in the morning, you're going at it.
Absolutely.
Instead of coffee, yes, you bet.
So you don't even have to have caffeine first thing.
Nope, no caffeine first thing.
I just start sipping on the.
I see you saved the caffeine for nine.
Yes.
You bet.
And once again, that caffeine, it is a mild diuretic and a mild laxative as well.
So, hey, granted, especially from a binge, you might have a little bit of extra fecal matter left over.
So this caffeine is going to help push it through.
We've all been there with that morning cup of Joe, right?
And all of a sudden, after that, what is that?
It's not coffee.
What is it?
Oh, it's a coffee flush.
So this is actually a coffee shake, which is great because, number one, it's going to nourish your body.
We're putting some nutrients into your system, some protein and some carbohydrates to help jumpstart the metabolism.
And the coffee helps rid those excess fluids and also help rid the excess fecal matter.
Basically, it's going to help you put some pee more, right?
Perfect.
So coffee shake, and then you have an AM snack.
What's in this?
Yes, so in the AM snack here, we have vanilla, it's a scoop of vanilla protein.
We've actually got some coconut milk and some mixed greens.
Believe it or not, it's absolutely delicious.
We call it the Popeye shake here.
Why is it called a Popeye shake?
Because of the greens?
Yeah, because of the greens.
You know, you would think spinach, but we saved the spinach for the Hulk shake.
Oh, that's good.
Yeah, it's good, isn't it?
Yeah, and stick too.
All right, so we're flushing all morning long.
And finally, I see you have a flush also in the afternoon.
Yes.
And once again, the reason that I love these liquids, number one, it helps get more water, because water is the base of these anyway.
It's going to help get more fluids into your system.
But also, these are all relatively low in sodium.
You've already gone overboard on sodium earlier in the week.
And so now let's cut that sodium down to a really natural and a safe range, if you will, so your body can start riding all those excess.
And you let us have two meals.
Absolutely, because it's important.
This is not, we're not, this isn't just about a liquid diet.
This is about eating real, whole, natural food, which we need as well.
Now, the magic ingredient in here, we've got some proteins, we got a little bit of carbs and lunch, and we cut those carbs for dinner.
But the magic ingredient here is asparagus.
I love this.
And if you do this program, you can accelerate this three, four day painful experience down to how long?
You can shorten it down to just one to two days max.
I like it, guys.
You in?
