| Sir, for anybody out there that doesn't maybe know your background, what exactly was your role when working with President Donald J. Trump in the Trump administration? | ||
| Hey, Clay, great to be with you and honored to be with the rest of these folks, especially, and no offense to anybody else, but being with Mike Flynn, it's been many, many years since Mike and I were back at Trump Tower during the transition after the boss won in 2016. | ||
| And we had really great plans to get tough on China and for the administration. | ||
| And it was a real tragedy for this American republic for the FBI and the Justice Department to do unfairly what they did to Mike. | ||
| So I'm glad to see that he has rebounded smartly. | ||
| He's a warrior. And I'm glad to be here. | ||
| So what I did... | ||
| I'm only one of three. | ||
| This is an interesting stat. | ||
| I'm only one of three people who were senior advisors in the Trump White House who was with the boss all the way from the Trump Tower campaign in 2016 to the end of what we like to call the first term. | ||
| And I was kind of the blue-collar lunch pail guy. | ||
| I was the tip of the spear for creating blue-collar manufacturing jobs by bringing back our manufacturing onshore and basically creating the kind of manufacturing that we'd shipped off to Mexico, the communist China, to Europe, and elsewhere. | ||
| And then when the pandemic rolled along, In 2020, January 2020, I was literally one of the first people in the White House to recognize the situation we were in. | ||
| I had an epic throwdown with Fauci in the Situation Room that time. | ||

| And I just think right now, I believe in the power of prayer. | ||

| One of the things that I learned in the military, and this is many, many times I use this because I saw a lot of death. | ||

| It could have been on the battlefield. And one of the things that goes through your mind, particularly as a commander, is you're going to have to deal with that issue. | ||
| And when I would get with the people that were involved, I would look at them and I would say, look, you are not going to be judged by something bad happening in your life. | ||
| You're going to be judged by what you do about it now. | ||
| What are you going to do about it now? | ||
| How are you going to lift yourself up, dust yourself off, and what kinds of things do you return to? | ||
| And one of the big lessons that I've learned over the last I say I live five lifetimes in the last five years. | ||
| I've learned that my faith has grown much, much stronger. | ||
| My family and the family that I have, and everybody here has met, you know, different parts of my family. | ||
| And then the true friends that have come into my life and my family's life. | ||
| And that's what matters the most. | ||
| When you're down and you feel persecuted, you always return to those things that matter the most. | ||

| Alex prayed for my wife when she had cancer. | ||

Clay, I think that, like Roger just said, and I asked this question to General Flynn when I first met him back in Salt Lake City, because to me, just what General Flynn went through was Besides just being something that was, you can't even fathom, to be one of the greatest heroes in American history and then to be labeled completely the opposite and how do you just deal with that on a daily basis? | |

| The universe is testing your resolve. | ||
| God is testing your resolve. | ||
| And the only way you can fail is by quitting. | ||
| That's the only way you can fail. | ||
| So as long as you're continuing forward, I think that this is the one thing that we need to remember, that no matter what happens, you put one step forward. | ||
| Next step forward. And you keep going until, you know, my son said to me, Dad, what if you never hit your target? | ||
