| But then he goes on to say, at her high school, my daughter was approached by a girl who'd recently come out at school as transgender. | ||
| Shortly after meeting her, my daughter declared that she too was a boy trapped in a girl's body and picked out a new masculine name. | ||
| And there's actually a term for this. | ||
| It's rapid onset gender dysphoria. | ||
| And it's essentially a social contagion where a group of people or One particular person becomes transgender and suddenly everybody around them also becomes transgender. | ||
| And they've done studies on this. | ||
| One was published in the Brown School Scientific Journal and then immediately was recalled because transgender people protested and said this is bad. | ||
| We need to not talk about rapid onset gender dysphoria. | ||
| And so it was removed because the science conflicted with the ideology, right? | ||
| So the ideology wins in this situation. | ||
| But, I mean, this entire story... | ||
| It gets crazier and crazier. | ||

| And so then they're told about the fact that she's been calling herself a boy and that the school has been treating her as a boy and the father says I told the school that our wishes are to call her by her legal name at all times and the social worker present at the meeting stated that we have the right to make that request. | ||
| And he says, I assumed the school staff would follow our directive, but when he followed up that meeting with an email, he learned that his request was ignored, and school staff continued to refer to her as her male name. | ||
| So the parents have no say of their 14-year-old autistic child is treated at school. | ||
| And they meet with the school superintendent who says that the hands of the school personnel are tied and they have to follow the law. | ||
| But he points out there is no law that says this. | ||
| There was an Obama administration put out a Dear Colleagues letter, but it was later rescinded. | ||
| It was never made into actual law. | ||
| But the ACLU has sent threatening letters to schools stating that it is against the law to disclose a student's gender identity even to their parents. | ||
| The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requires that school allow parents to inspect and review their child's education record as long as their child is under 18. | ||
| So the ACLU is basically lying to school, telling them they have to affirm transgenderism and even hide it from the parents. | ||
| And again, it gets crazier and crazier. | ||
| He says, my daughter told me that the school social worker was advising her about halfway houses because he thought we did not support her. | ||
| So this autistic girl who had trouble making friends... | ||
| who convinces her to be transgender, the school totally affirms it, goes along with it, hides it from the parents, and then advises the student about halfway houses, essentially, you know, telling her she should run away. | ||
| Run away. | ||
| Separate from her parents because her parents don't support this sudden change in the girl's psychiatry. | ||
| And it goes on and on. Again, it gets crazier and crazier. | ||
| They talk to a psychologist who agrees with them and says, yeah, this is strange. | ||
| Your daughter is not transgender by the normal metrics. | ||
| But the psychologists only tell it to the parents and refuse to put that in their report to the school because their hands are tied and essentially they'll be They could lose their license if they say the truth. | ||
| If they go against the ACLU or the leftist agenda. | ||
| Totally insane. Wow. | ||
| Totally insane. And this guy, he did a lot of research, obviously. | ||
| He talks about the National Education Association has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign to produce materials advocating the automatic affirmation of identities, name changes, and pronouns regardless of parents concerns. | ||
| And in 18 states and the District of Columbia, including his this guy's home state of Illinois, there are conversion therapy vans which prevent therapists from questioning a child's gender identity. He says, no wonder my daughter's therapist would only speak to me off the record. So even the psychologist, the therapist are prevented from doing this, are scared to come out and say, no, this person is not transgender. | ||
