[00:00:07] When you give us a positive review, what that does is it triggers the algorithm so that our podcast shows up on more people's news feeds. [00:00:16] You and I both know that this ministry is willing to talk about things that most ministries aren't. [00:00:21] We need this content for the glory of God to reach more people's ears. [00:00:40] We're back. [00:00:41] It is now Monday, December 15th, and today is going to be our final episode for the year for Right Response. [00:00:50] Right Response is continuing. [00:00:51] We're going to tell you guys some of the vision and what you can expect. [00:00:55] And we have a lot of new things that are going to be unveiled in the new year, right after New Year's Day. [00:01:03] January 2nd will be a debut video, and then there will be multiple other live streams following that up. [00:01:11] You're going to see a lot of new stuff. [00:01:13] But there are questions to answer before we start answering the questions about what, you know, what's Right Response going to do next year? [00:01:18] What are some of the new things coming out that you guys have been hinting at for several months now? [00:01:24] And it has been several months. [00:01:25] I mean, for the last six months, we've been doing a ton of stuff, and it's been really hard to keep a lot of it quiet and under wraps, but all preparing for the new year. [00:01:35] We have a lot of stuff that we're going to unveil, not just, oh, you know, by December of 2026, no, in January, a ton of stuff will. [00:01:45] Will come out and be revealed all at once, and it is big and exciting. [00:01:50] And so, um, we've got a lot of things to share. [00:01:53] Uh, we're going to share a lot of details in this episode today, but not everything. [00:01:58] A couple things you will have to wait till January 2nd, um, which is not long. [00:02:03] You can enjoy your family, uh, worship the Lord Jesus Christ, and have a Merry Christmas. [00:02:07] You'll be just go offline for a week, Christmas and New Year's. [00:02:10] That is the best week of the year to go offline. [00:02:12] You're not gonna miss anything, it really is. [00:02:14] Um, so let's let's walk down memory lane and, um, You know, it all began with telling my wife she couldn't read a book. [00:02:24] When I think of the origin story, no, it's, I mean, it began before that, but that was kind of the first big controversy. [00:02:32] But yeah, Right Response Ministries, the origin was just having a sense, like we all did, right? === Faithful Preaching Elements (15:24) === [00:02:40] It wasn't unique or original or special. [00:02:42] You know, there's nothing special about me. [00:02:45] But just all of us going through 2020, hell on earth, 2020 was such a dark year. [00:02:52] And it was followed by four very dark years. [00:02:57] And so during that time, especially in 2020, we just had a sense, I had a sense that I wanted to see theology, Christian theology from the scripture applied. [00:03:10] And I remember that was kind of the first basic premise was, you know, thinking that just in the pulpit as a pastor, I was thinking, you know, a good sermon is comprised of at least three primary elements one, revelation. [00:03:25] Not standing before the people of God saying, I have a dream or I have a church growth strategy or I have a plan or 13 steps to fix your marriage or whatever it might be, a new seminar, a new book. [00:03:37] No, when the minister stands before the people of God on the Lord's day, he preaches a sermon and the sermon has three primary elements. [00:03:45] The first, a revelation, and the revelation is not a dream, not a plan, not a strategy. [00:03:50] It's a text. [00:03:51] I have a text from the word of God. [00:03:54] The revelation is Is not man's preference nor his devices or innovations, but the God breathed text. [00:04:02] It's the infallible word of God. [00:04:04] So, preaching expositionally through books of the Bible is what, by God's grace, I've done for years now. [00:04:11] I've done it well by God's grace. [00:04:13] I've done it poorly because of me and my own sin. [00:04:16] But I've been committed for several years to standing before the people of God and preaching the Bible. [00:04:22] I have a text, Revelation. [00:04:23] The next, Interpretation. [00:04:26] You know, we have many followers. [00:04:28] Many are Reformed and Protestant. [00:04:30] Many are not Reformed and Protestant. [00:04:32] Many are Catholic and they're not Protestant at all. [00:04:35] And then there are some who aren't even Christian and they follow our channel. [00:04:38] They appreciate the political analysis, cultural analysis, those things. [00:04:43] But you have to humor me. [00:04:45] I am a Reformed Protestant. [00:04:46] And so when it comes to Reformed Protestant preaching, I have a text. [00:04:50] That's what people expect: expositional preaching, exegesis, reading out of the text, what God intends, not eisegesis, reading into the text, the opinions of man. [00:05:01] So I have a text, revelation. [00:05:03] Second, interpretation, meaning this is what God means by the text. [00:05:08] R.C. Sproul famously said, That when it comes to interpretation of the text, I know that there's a lot of modern, you know, Protestant Bible studies. [00:05:16] Many of them, let's be honest, are women's Bible studies. [00:05:20] And they go around the room sitting in a circle sharing, and they'll read a Bible verse or two, or maybe a whole chapter or a paragraph. [00:05:28] And they'll go around the circle asking one another, you know, what does the text mean to you? [00:05:34] And the proper answer to that question, of course, is, you know, kind of like the rock wrestler or something. [00:05:40] It doesn't matter what it means to you. [00:05:42] And it really doesn't. [00:05:43] Like, you know, I'm being silly, but truthfully, it doesn't matter what the text means to you. [00:05:48] It matters what it means to God. [00:05:49] What does God mean by his word? [00:05:52] What is God's meaning? [00:05:53] So, faithful preaching, three elements. [00:05:55] First one, revelation, not I have a dream, I have a text. [00:05:59] Second, interpretation, not your interpretation, but what does God actually mean by this? [00:06:04] Not eisegesis, but exegesis, expositing the text. [00:06:09] And like I said, you have to humor me as a Reformed Protestant pastor. [00:06:15] That's pretty much all preaching is within the Reformed world. [00:06:20] It stops at those first two elements, revelation, interpretation, and never gets to the third. [00:06:25] And so, around a little bit before 2018, 2019, but it really solidified for me in 2020, seeing all the political problems, problems with our government, problems in the culture, all these things. [00:06:37] And I started realizing, you know what? [00:06:39] If all we do is revelation and interpretation in a 45 or 60 minute sermon, whatever it is, at your Reformed Protestant church, Then, at the end of the day, if we're honest, all the minister is providing is an audible commentary on the Lord's Day. [00:06:55] It's a commentary, but it's not a sermon because a sermon gives us something to do. [00:07:04] It gives us something to do, not something to do to merit the favor of God, not something to do to earn salvation. [00:07:10] That's not what I'm saying. [00:07:12] But it does give us something to do in obedience as a response of gratitude for the free gift of salvation we've received by grace through faith in Christ. [00:07:24] Like, I'm sorry, Protestants, but you guys, like, you think that we get the gospel and it's all by grace. [00:07:34] And yeah, it is, but some of you, you're heretics. [00:07:37] You've gone way too far. [00:07:39] You're no longer cherishing and esteeming the gospel of free grace. [00:07:43] You're antinomian, you're against law. [00:07:46] You actually hate God because you hate his very nature. [00:07:50] The law of God, your hatred for the law of God. Is a hatred of God's own essence. [00:07:57] God is not God because he somehow has achieved a moral standard outside of himself. [00:08:03] The moral standard, the law of God, is a procession, a reflection of his own divine, holy nature. [00:08:11] What God says is moral and true and right, it is immutable. [00:08:16] The moral law of God is immutable, unchanging, because the very nature of God is unchanging and his law stems from his nature. [00:08:25] It stems from his nature. [00:08:26] And so the law of God is good. [00:08:30] Under the new covenant, as New Testament Christians in the year of our Lord 2025, we still should delight in God's law. [00:08:39] Do we delight in his grace and his gospel? [00:08:41] Of course. [00:08:43] But we love the law of God. [00:08:45] We love the law of God precisely because God loves the law of God, he loves his holy law. [00:08:52] And we're not seeking to obey his law so that he might love us. [00:08:57] 1 John 4 19 tells us we love. [00:09:00] Because he first loved us. [00:09:01] So God is the great initiator. [00:09:03] God is sovereign over man's salvation. [00:09:06] God first loved us in Christ. [00:09:08] While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, right? [00:09:12] Very rarely would anyone die for a good man or a perfect man, a righteous man, though for a good man one might possibly dare to die. [00:09:20] But God demonstrated his love for us in this. [00:09:23] While we were yet sinners in our worst state, God sent Jesus to die for us. [00:09:29] So God doesn't give us salvation through his son Jesus because We loved him and obeyed. [00:09:36] Now he saves us because we weren't obedient and we required saving. [00:09:41] Man contributes nothing to his salvation but the sin which made it necessary. [00:09:47] However, good preaching still gives us something to do. [00:09:54] We don't preach the gospel in an antinomian fashion, we don't preach grace in a way that it makes it cheap grace. [00:10:04] In a way that makes, that completely salvation is free, but there is a cost to discipleship. [00:10:13] Jesus tells us this. [00:10:15] And if we somehow siphon away every element of the cost of discipleship, then we've ultimately wound up with some other religion beside historic Christianity. [00:10:29] So good preaching, again, revelation, not I have a dream, I have a strategy, I have a text. [00:10:35] It's the revelation that comes from God. [00:10:37] It's the Bible. [00:10:39] Interpretation, not your interpretation, not what does it mean to you. [00:10:43] No, what does the text mean to God? [00:10:45] Exegesis, not eisegesis. [00:10:47] And then last, third, application. [00:10:51] How then shall we live? [00:10:53] Tell me, what must I do? [00:10:55] Not to be saved, but what must I do as a free response of gratitude for the salvation I've already received? [00:11:05] We love him because he first loved us. [00:11:08] John 4 19. [00:11:10] And then Jesus says to his disciples, If you love me, you will obey my commandments. [00:11:16] So God loves us first, the great initiator. [00:11:20] Step one we are given new hearts. [00:11:24] Ezekiel, the heart of stone is removed, the heart of flesh is replaced. [00:11:29] It's malleable and softened. [00:11:30] Spiritual eyes to see, spiritual ears to hear. [00:11:33] If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature in Christ Jesus, a new nature. [00:11:38] So God loved us salvifically through Christ, gives us new hearts and the gift of faith and repentance. [00:11:45] We now love him. [00:11:46] And the very first question for a genuine Christian born again by the Spirit of God is God, I love you. [00:11:52] I want to demonstrate my love for you. [00:11:54] I want to show my love. [00:11:56] How can I show you my love? [00:11:57] And Jesus very helpfully answers this question If you love me, you'll obey me. [00:12:03] Which means that the minister in his preaching must preach the commands of God, not as a means of earning salvation, but as a response of obedience through gratitude. [00:12:15] For the salvation that Christ has merited for us by his obedience. [00:12:21] That is Protestant. [00:12:23] That is Christian. [00:12:25] That's not a works based righteousness. [00:12:28] But anything less than that is an antinomian heresy. [00:12:33] So that was the development, the basic fundamental development in my theology as a Christian, as a husband, as a father, and as a minister. [00:12:45] I realized it's not enough to be this modern reformed pastor who just gets up and provides for people a 45 minute Audible commentary on the Lord's Day and calls it a sermon. [00:12:59] It's not. [00:13:00] You look at John Knox, you look at John Calvin, you look at Martin Luther, you look at all the Puritans. [00:13:06] The Puritans, you can't read a book by the Puritans without two thirds of it, at least half, being application. [00:13:15] So let's say, in the first instance, this text says da and the meaning and exegesis behind the text is huts, huts, huts, h h huts, h And as it applies for him as a father, and as it applies as a churchman, and as it applies as a civil father in the city gates, sitting among the elders, his influence in the town, as it applies at being a cobbler or being a blacksmith or being this or being that. [00:13:43] The Puritans were constantly giving application, constantly. [00:13:47] They weren't legalists, they weren't making it a works based righteousness, but they were saying that God, after having saved us, calls us to good works. [00:13:59] So, I realized that if I was going to be faithful as a Christian, and of course, much less as a minister, I was going to have to add that third piece revelation, interpretation, and then application. [00:14:16] And then I started thinking, well, wait a second, does the Bible only apply to marriage and family? [00:14:21] Because that's kind of how we act a lot of times. [00:14:26] A lot of Protestant churches, if there's any application at all, it's just a marriage seminar. [00:14:31] A parenting seminar. [00:14:33] It's as though the Word of God and all the commands of God and all the principles and precepts only apply in our homes. [00:14:40] And how convenient? [00:14:41] Because our homes are private. [00:14:44] It doesn't require nearly as much grit, spine, courage. [00:14:49] But I started thinking, well, but doesn't the Bible kind of apply to not just marriage and family in the home privately, but to public life? [00:14:58] Does the Word of God have something, anything to say for not just husbands and fathers and wives and mothers, but To civil rulers and to CEOs of corporations? [00:15:11] Does it have something to say for the marketplace, for the public square, for the government, for the arts, for all these different things? [00:15:20] Is the Bible true or not? [00:15:21] And if it is true, why wouldn't it be true for everyone in every facet of life and human society? [00:15:29] And so I started preaching and applying the Word of God to government, to politics. [00:15:36] To culture. [00:15:37] I started speaking to those things. [00:15:40] And as I did, I just realized that the people of God, Christians in America, were famished, starving for application. [00:15:52] They had gone to a couple dozen of the five Solas conferences, Reformed conferences by this point. [00:16:02] They had gone to their Doctrines of Grace conference annually every single year where they're Reformed. [00:16:09] Favorite celebrity ministers would kind of dress up and basically LARP and pretend to relive the Reformation from 500 years ago. [00:16:16] And the Reformation continues, semper reformanda. [00:16:21] The Reformation in 2025 is probably even more necessary than it was at the time of Luther, you know, and Tetzel. [00:16:28] And we bought the Calvin Roasters coffee bag, of course. [00:16:31] You were smoking the pipe and growing out your beard and all that kind of stuff, you know. [00:16:36] And that's just kind of what modern Reformed Protestants, let's just be honest, that's what we did for like 20 years, the last 20 years. [00:16:45] And I realized, man, these people, and I'm one of them, I represent. [00:16:49] We are starved for application. [00:16:52] How do we live? [00:16:53] Besides just growing out the beard and smoking a pipe and drinking triple IPAs and marriage and family, God bless, and going to seven conferences every year about the five solos, it's great. [00:17:09] But is there anything else? [00:17:10] Is there any other application from the word of God? [00:17:14] Because we're doing this, but everything around us, the whole world, our whole country is going to hell in a handbasket. [00:17:21] It's not right. [00:17:24] Something's broken. [00:17:26] And so that's what I did. [00:17:28] I just started applying the word of God in my preaching. [00:17:32] And, like I said, it was evident right away, immediately, that there was a deep, desperate need that people had been starved for this. [00:17:42] They're like, what is this? [00:17:45] What kind of preaching is this? [00:17:46] Is this great? [00:17:46] And of course, people hated it and still hate it. [00:17:50] But there also were many who loved it. [00:17:53] And I started getting phone calls and emails and With prayers for me and my family and encouragement, and right response ministries just started taking off. === Living Prophets Hated (14:51) === [00:18:04] At first, it was just kind of posting the sermons and maybe one weekly podcast, interviewing a different guest, you know, piping them in remotely. [00:18:11] And then we started doing a live stream, and that's when Wes and Michael hopped on. [00:18:17] And that was at the beginning of last year. [00:18:19] So we're coming up at the end of two years ago. [00:18:20] Two years ago, yeah. [00:18:21] Right. [00:18:21] And then we started doing the live stream more often to apply Christian principles. [00:18:28] Even more regularly to more current events and cultural phenomenons and political happenings. [00:18:36] And that's kind of it, you know. [00:18:38] And along the way, controversy after controversy. [00:18:40] So Joel won't let his wife read a book. [00:18:43] That one is interesting because, you know, people really ran with that one. [00:18:45] They're like, Joel makes his wife ask permission to use the restroom. [00:18:50] They really kind of get that one tangled up because I was talking about my children who, at the time, my children were, I believe, like, Five years old, four years old, three years old, and one. [00:19:05] And we're talking about the implication was before bedtime. [00:19:09] Hey, did you go potty? [00:19:10] Let's go potty. [00:19:10] I was talking about how a husband and a father, particularly a father in his home, has far greater authority. [00:19:17] The scope of his authority is over far less people. [00:19:20] In my case, it was a handful of children. [00:19:23] Whereas a civil father, a ruler, a politician, has a much broader scope of authority in terms of the citizens, the subjects who are under his authority. [00:19:32] But his authority is not nearly as deep. [00:19:35] It's depth, the degree of authority. [00:19:37] But people clipped it out. [00:19:39] Ali Beth Stuckey was one of them because what I was articulating was basic Christian historical patriarchy, which she hates because you can always count on someone to not theologically understand something when their livelihood depends on them not understanding it. [00:19:57] Yeah. [00:19:58] Right? [00:19:59] Like, here's the reality. [00:20:02] And this, unfortunately, is more damning. [00:20:06] But I'll say it like this Ali Bastuki is not dumb. [00:20:10] I wish she was because then she'd have a much greater excuse for her sake and for her soul. [00:20:17] I wish she was, but she's actually not. [00:20:20] She's not dumb, she's quite sharp. [00:20:24] But, but her, she, you know, she's a girl with a dream after all. [00:20:30] I mean, who are we to tell a little girl with a dream that she can't be what she wants? [00:20:34] Yeah, she's got a dream, you know, and and yeah, that dream is a walking oxymoron. [00:20:42] A walking, living, breathing contradiction of I'm a conservative, complimentarian wife, and my husband is ultimately the head of my house. [00:20:50] And yet I'm on the conference circuit and speaking to both men and women and instructing them in theology and blah, blah, blah. [00:20:56] So that was the first controversy. [00:20:57] And the only reason I mentioned Ali is because she clipped that portion of the sermon, the transcript, and read it aloud on her podcast and caused a lot of backlash. [00:21:09] And then other people picked it up. [00:21:10] And then And then it was off to the races. [00:21:13] And then it feels like it was like, you know, every month something would get clipped out, usually by others, not by us. [00:21:20] My greatest hits are usually not my choice. [00:21:23] It's usually someone else chooses it for me and it goes viral. [00:21:26] And then it became like, you know, I feel like over the last year, year and a half, it's like every week. [00:21:31] World Magazine just wrote an article. [00:21:34] CNN reached out to me today. [00:21:37] Houston Chronicle just finished an article last week about me being a chauvinist. [00:21:42] And that's only like maybe two and a half months after Houston Chronicle wrote their other article on me about me being a racist. [00:21:53] And so the controversies have increased. [00:21:56] There's no question about that in regularity and in their scope and visibility. [00:22:03] And so plenty of controversies along the way that have boosted our digital footprint and caused us to be hated by millions, but beloved by thousands. [00:22:13] I wish the numbers were swapped, but the Lord ultimately decides that. [00:22:17] I don't. [00:22:19] And honestly, it's worth it. [00:22:21] This is something me and my wife talk about on a regular basis. [00:22:24] And as a family, we'll pray for God's favor and his protection from any who would seek to do us harm. [00:22:32] But we've kind of, my wife and I have agreed for quite a while now that we don't want to be hated. [00:22:39] We're not trying to be hated, but better to be hated by millions. [00:22:46] But the Lord in his providence used that as a mechanism to be seen by millions, so that even if it's only a tenth of the number of people that have an aversion towards you, so hated by a million, but a hundred thousand that would have never seen you otherwise are now being engaged with your content and truly helped in their life, in their Christian walk, in their vocation, in their family, [00:23:16] it's worth it. [00:23:17] It's worth it. [00:23:18] It is worth every Houston Chronicle article, it is worth it for just one individual emailing me and saying, You saved my marriage. [00:23:28] It's easy now to think, Oh, there's lots of guys out there doing great work. [00:23:32] But man, 2020 to 2021, COVID, and then Black Lives Matter was another big one. [00:23:37] Nearly every big reformed pastor fell absolutely flat on his face as he tried to do any type of application of scripture. [00:23:44] I remember our pastor at the time up in New Jersey, he got up and related to George Floyd. [00:23:49] He said, If you're white, you need to sit down and shut up. [00:23:52] And that was the norm. [00:23:53] That was the average. [00:23:54] I mean, I'd have to say probably 95% of Protestant churches in America were closed, not just a couple of weeks, but probably months on end, some of them over a year. [00:24:04] That was the norm. [00:24:05] There were so few people standing up and saying, Caesar doesn't have the right to shut down your church for months on end. [00:24:12] You don't actually have to submit to struggle sessions because you're white and feel guilty for things that you didn't do. [00:24:18] That was the landscape. [00:24:19] The things that are being said today, now without being censored, they were not possible to have been said four years ago. [00:24:25] That's how much the Overton window has shifted. [00:24:27] And it's awesome, but by God's grace, that's a short amount of time in which nothing could be said. [00:24:32] Nobody could broach the topic to where we're now openly discussing very, very important ideas. [00:24:37] And that's how far we've come in really a short amount of time. [00:24:39] I'll never forget, it was summer 2020. [00:24:42] I was still in Southern California and hadn't moved to Texas yet. [00:24:45] We moved in December, the end of that year, 2020. [00:24:48] And I was preaching a sermon at the church there that I was one of the elders at. [00:24:55] And there was a line in the sermon. [00:24:57] And I remember thinking, this is going to be a banger. [00:25:01] This is going to preach. [00:25:02] This is good. [00:25:04] Not just it's going to be provocative, but it's true. [00:25:07] It's good. [00:25:08] And I remember saying, In the wake of George Floyd, and it was just weeks, the turnaround from George Floyd and his death, and this sermon that I was preaching, I had a line where I said, because it was about evangelism and evangelizing the world and every tribe and every nation. [00:25:26] I said, I don't know how to evangelize a black man and tell him that he needs to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and repent of his sin while being on my knees worshiping that black man. [00:25:42] I don't know how to tell a black man he needs to repent and worship Jesus while being on my knees repenting and worshiping him. [00:25:51] That's right. [00:25:52] So I don't know how to deify a black man and yet tell him that he's a sinner in need of the true deity, the Lord Jesus Christ. [00:26:01] And I remember preaching that and seeing friends in the congregation, white friends, going like this Uh uh, stop, stop. [00:26:10] And there were some black people that were. [00:26:13] There that Sunday, and they were kind of pointing at them from behind them, saying, Look, there's a black person here, stop saying that. [00:26:19] And I was like, And I remember, and I tried not to get distracted and had to just keep preaching through it, trying not to be distracted and lose my train of thought. [00:26:27] But I remember thinking, like, you know, and I told a couple of them afterwards, but I remember thinking, like, I'm not colorblind. [00:26:34] I know we're supposed to be. [00:26:35] I'm not colorblind. [00:26:36] I see the black person there. [00:26:38] So this point of my sermon is true, whether there's a black person in the congregation today or not. [00:26:44] And the fact that there are some black people here. [00:26:47] Don't make this point any more true, but it makes the point all the more necessary to be made. [00:26:53] Yeah. [00:26:53] So you're pointing, saying, knock it off, Pastor. [00:26:56] And I'm like, I see who you're pointing at. [00:26:59] I feel like I should say it again. [00:27:01] I feel like I should say it again because I love that black man who's here today. [00:27:05] And I don't want him to be led astray by the heresy and false doctrine of George Floydism, King George, that black people are entitled and just. [00:27:20] Eternal grievances that everything is the white man's fault, and only one part of the population actually has sin and needs to repent and needs a savior. [00:27:34] And I mean, it's a damning thing. [00:27:36] What we did in 2020 for black people was essentially, if not for the grace of God, God ultimately is sovereign, but if it was just left to us, what we attempted to do, I think God has intervened for many black people. [00:27:51] Praise God. [00:27:52] But what we tried to do was damn every single black person to hell. [00:27:56] We essentially attempted to preach a doctrine that says white people are sinners, need to repent, and need a savior. [00:28:05] And black people really don't. [00:28:07] They really don't, which is the most unloving, hateful message you could ever give to someone, ever. [00:28:14] And I remember being angry, like angry at this damnable black worshiping doctrine being preached in Christian churches. [00:28:27] And so, yeah, like. [00:28:29] By God's grace, between that or rejecting masks, you know, or rejecting the Vax, or I just, we got a lot of heat, a lot of backlash. [00:28:41] And the usual suspects, you know, they came in once the coast was clear, once, you know, they could put their finger up in the air and feel which direction the wind was blowing. [00:28:52] Once there was a little bit of cultural, you know, shift, then other people came out and, oh, yeah, it really is bad. [00:28:58] The government is overstepping its bounds. [00:29:00] And, oh, yeah. [00:29:01] You know, George Floyd, you know, that we went way too far with that. [00:29:06] But we got backlash at another level because we were early. [00:29:13] We were early. [00:29:16] Jesus says to the Jews during his earthly ministry, Was there ever a prophet that you didn't kill? [00:29:25] And here's the deal I've said it several times, but I'll say it again because it's kind of a walk down memory lane, some of the greatest hits of Right Response over the years. [00:29:33] I've always said of that concept of Jesus, you know, saying your fathers killed the prophets, but here you are building monuments, tombs to their honor. [00:29:43] And you console yourselves and assure one another that, like, we wouldn't have killed Jeremiah or Isaiah or such and such and so and so. [00:29:51] We never would have done that. [00:29:53] Oh, you know, prior generations, yeah, they, I mean, they killed every single prophet the Lord ever sent them, but we're different. [00:29:59] We wouldn't have done that. [00:30:00] We recognize that they were sent by God, that they were good men. [00:30:03] We're building tombs to their honor. [00:30:04] Meanwhile, they're trying to kill Jesus. [00:30:06] And spoiler alert, if you've never read the Bible, they did, in fact, succeed. [00:30:11] And they did kill Jesus. [00:30:13] But Jesus is pointing out their hypocrisy and saying, no, you're just as stiff necked and just as rebellious and just as hateful of God and his prophets, his servants, his word, as your fathers were. [00:30:27] So then, why do they honor Jeremiah after long after he's dead, building martyrs, but hate Jesus? [00:30:34] Because here's the deal. [00:30:35] And this is the way that I've worded it over the years. [00:30:39] They don't kill the prophets for being right. [00:30:43] They kill the prophets for being first. [00:30:46] They don't kill the prophets for being right. [00:30:50] They kill the prophets for being first. [00:30:53] And that, I assure you, from experience, is a timeless principle that I have quickly learned over the years through the school of hard knocks. [00:31:05] Plenty of people can say plenty of things. [00:31:09] In fact, Even the same things. [00:31:12] In fact, even some of the same things in precisely the same way, but six months later. [00:31:19] And be just hoisted on shoulder top and seven day parades thrown in their honor. [00:31:26] And here's a check, and you get a check, and come to this conference, come to this TPUSA event. [00:31:32] Oh, snap. [00:31:33] He's got a real spot for you. [00:31:34] Yeah, yeah. [00:31:35] We've got this opening, we've got this opportunity. [00:31:38] You get a show on the blaze, you know? [00:31:42] That's just kind of the way it goes. [00:31:44] Jesus told us that, right? [00:31:46] I mean, it shouldn't be rocket science. [00:31:47] And I'll be honest, to my own shame, I was surprised by this experience. [00:31:52] I shouldn't have been. [00:31:54] My Lord and Savior told me in His words, it's right there in the Bible, this is a timeless principle. [00:32:00] The prophets don't die for being right because eventually people come around and everyone wants to be right. [00:32:07] The prophets don't die for being right, they die for being first. [00:32:10] Any courageous man will eventually be honored once he's safely buried under six feet of dirt. [00:32:17] But courage, while it's living, is hated. [00:32:22] Courage, once it's dead and safely buried, is esteemed. [00:32:26] But courage, while it's living, is hated. [00:32:29] A dead prophet, praised. [00:32:31] A living prophet, hated. [00:32:34] That's the principle Jesus tells us. [00:32:38] And I can tell you from personal experience I'm no Jesus, not even close. [00:32:44] From the little bit that I've gotten right and the little bit of courage by the grace of God that I've exerted over the years, this principle is profoundly true. === Courage While Living (08:24) === [00:32:56] And so, out of all these things, right response just evolved. [00:33:01] And it developed. [00:33:02] And that application piece, because we could sense, I could tell that so many people Christians, Protestants, Catholics, even unbelievers were so starved to hear people apply, not just hypothesize, not just principles, not just theory, but practice. [00:33:24] They were so starved for it, we just did more and more and more of it. [00:33:29] Until eventually we got to the point over this last. [00:33:32] A couple of years, but especially this year being the most recent, the year of our Lord 2025, is the best example. [00:33:39] It's the freshest, it's the most recent. [00:33:41] And I would say by this point, up to date, it's been about five years. [00:33:46] This year, 2025, with Right Response, it's 80 20 in terms of percentage, 80 20 of application, culture, politics, current event, and about 20% of the foundational theology. [00:34:05] The principles. [00:34:08] And I guess what I'm building up to is we're going to go to a commercial break in just a moment, and then we'll give some more details of what's to come, specific details. [00:34:17] We won't leave you hanging. [00:34:19] But what I've realized is we need both. [00:34:25] And I want to do both as much as I can. [00:34:28] I'm just one guy, and I'm not even, there's other guys so much more gifted than I am. [00:34:34] But I want to be faithful with whatever opportunity the Lord's giving me. [00:34:37] And I've realized we really do need both. [00:34:38] We need. [00:34:39] Theology, principle. [00:34:42] We need application, practice. [00:34:47] We need both. [00:34:51] And right response is kind of just, to be honest, it's just become a little bit more of, you know, this is what happened today in the news. [00:34:59] And that's what we're talking about. [00:35:02] And there's nothing wrong with that. [00:35:03] We need that. [00:35:04] And a lot of people have found it really, really helpful. [00:35:07] Thank you for your time. [00:35:07] Praise God. [00:35:08] Really, really helped me understand. [00:35:10] It broke it down for me in a way that I got it. [00:35:12] Right. [00:35:13] And here's the thing, but don't we have enough political pundits? [00:35:16] Not Christian ones, no. [00:35:18] Oh, we have Christians in media, right wing. [00:35:23] Guys, let me just be honest with you. [00:35:24] My brother in Christ. [00:35:25] I won't name names, but let me just be honest with you. [00:35:28] Your Christian, conservative, right wing political pundit is doing cocaine. [00:35:37] Okay? [00:35:38] I'll just say it like that. [00:35:40] No, you don't have an abundance of genuine. [00:35:45] Moral men who are both courageous but also principled in media doing news shows. [00:35:55] You don't have an abundance of that, I assure you. [00:35:58] You have an abundance of grifters, yes. [00:36:02] You have an abundance of Christians in name only who really have courage but do not have character or really have character at the private family level. [00:36:14] They're probably a really sweet guy. [00:36:18] Their wife probably adores them, patient and kind and polite, but they're spineless, right? [00:36:26] And they're just really kind of exercising their gifts of hospitality to communists. [00:36:34] Hey, come on in and take away my grandkids' future. [00:36:38] We need to listen to people. [00:36:39] We need to turn down the temperature. [00:36:41] Yep. [00:36:41] Turn down the temperature. [00:36:43] Turn it down and listen. [00:36:45] Have a dialogue. [00:36:46] Correct. [00:36:47] So you have that. [00:36:47] So you have Christians who have. [00:36:50] Character in some regard without courage, or courage in much regard, but without character, you actually do need some solid Christians in media with the news, culture, politics, current events, these things. [00:37:06] So there is a need there, and theology applied, applied to the conversations that everyone is having, the most relevant issues of our day. [00:37:17] Somebody's got to be doing that. [00:37:19] And we're not the only ones. [00:37:21] We don't want to have the Elijah complex. [00:37:22] I'm the only one left. [00:37:23] And the Lord responds and says, I've reserved 7,000, a remnant who have not bowed their knee to Baal or the Asherah poles. [00:37:31] They've remained faithful. [00:37:33] So we're not the only ones, but it is, I think I can say this truthfully, few and far between. [00:37:40] So we see, I guess what I'm getting at is we see two needs, and we've realized over the course of this last year, especially, that these two distinct needs require two different tactics. [00:37:54] Two different ministries of sorts, and we'll get to that in a moment. [00:37:59] Two different avenues, two different platforms, because they're two different needs. [00:38:04] We still need principle, theology, foundation, theology in the church. [00:38:11] And we need relevance, application, courage. [00:38:16] This just happened in the news. [00:38:17] A Christian man is going to speak to it. [00:38:21] We need both. [00:38:22] And early on, right response more theology. [00:38:26] Principle, kind of evolving right response, more application, practice. [00:38:34] And so, what we want to do is we kind of want to get back to the start. [00:38:39] We want to get back to the origin. [00:38:41] We want right response ministries to focus more exclusively its attention on theology and the church, equipping the saints, not just evangelistic for those who are maybe interested in Christianity, but those who are already Christian. [00:38:58] They love Jesus and they want to be equipped with the principles and the doctrine. [00:39:05] That's what we want to do with Right Response. [00:39:08] And also, we are starting something else because we also see the need for a broader audience that is Christian, Protestant, and Catholic, and even some unbelievers with the relevant topics of the day, culture, politics, and application and courage, both. [00:39:30] So, right response, our goal is to return, as the kids would say, theology in the church, the principles, the foundation. [00:39:39] And then starting something new that will tell you about exactly what it is in this second segment after the commercial break that's going to keep doing what Right Response has been doing most recently, namely application, courage, relevance, culture, and politics, those kinds of things. [00:39:57] Last thing, real quick here with Right Response what you can expect from Right Response in the year of our Lord 2026, next year, beginning first week of January, is we're going to produce a couple of podcasts each week. [00:40:12] It's probably going to be two. [00:40:14] A couple of podcasts each week, probably Tuesdays and Thursdays, is what we're thinking. [00:40:21] Tuesdays and Thursdays, not a live stream, not doing a bunch of QA, not hitting the news cycle, not current events, principles, timeless doctrines that equip the saints, that they can take those tools and then apply it as they live their lives with everything that the Lord throws their way providentially. [00:40:44] And in addition to a couple podcasts, also doing a few articles every single week. [00:40:51] So you're going to have a Tuesday and Thursday show, Principle, Doctrine, Theology, The Church. [00:40:58] And then you're going to have a few articles in that same vein every single week with Right Response. [00:41:05] And then a whole lot of other stuff with a new organization that we will name and tell you exactly what you can expect. [00:41:16] Right after the first message from our sponsors today. === Backwards Financial Planning (03:21) === [00:41:20] When it comes to your financial future, are you planning forward or backwards from your desired results? [00:44:43] So, Right Response Ministries, the year of our Lord 2026, a couple podcasts every week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, related to theology and the church principles. [00:44:55] In addition to a couple of podcasts each week, also two or three articles every week, same kind of focus theology and the church. [00:45:04] Still a nonprofit organization that can receive charitable giving and offer a tax deduction. [00:45:12] Getting back to our roots. [00:45:14] In addition, we are also starting a separate organization that will be an LLC. [00:45:21] It has been established, and the name of it is NXR Studios. [00:45:27] N New Ex Christian R Right. [00:45:32] The New Christian Right. [00:45:34] NXR Studios is going to be focusing on live streams, hitting news stories when they happen, taking culture, Taking politics, all the relevant conversations that are happening right now, not just with 14 people within the Reformed ghetto, but on the world stage that everyone is concerned about, applying Christian principles to it, [00:46:00] but speaking not just theology in the church in principle, but culture and politics in practice. [00:46:07] And that's going to be a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday live stream. [00:46:13] So, right response Tuesday and Thursday. [00:46:15] Pre recorded principles, theology in the church. [00:46:20] NXR studios, three times a week Monday, Wednesday, and Friday live streams, hitting the current events, following the news cycle, hitting big talking points, big global conversations that are relevant, that are happening, hitting them hard with courage, Christian courage, culture and politics, theology applied. [00:46:43] The times, what we're going to do across the board again, Tuesday, Thursday, right response, theology in the church. [00:46:50] Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, not pre recorded, but live streams, culture and politics with NXR Studios. [00:46:57] Five days a week in total between these two organizations, all at 11 a.m. Central Time. [00:47:03] 11 a.m. Central Time. [00:47:05] Now, you're also going to have two or three of the articles that I talked about. [00:47:09] That's with Right Response related to theology in the church, just like the two podcasts on Tuesday and Thursday. [00:47:15] You are going to have many articles, many articles every single week with NXR. [00:47:22] In XR Studios, we have the fortune of God's favor and his blessing, something we've prayed about for a while. [00:47:33] We've actively pursued and God has blessed it. [00:47:36] Where, as an LLC, we have backing. [00:47:40] We have investors. [00:47:41] We have capital. [00:47:43] We have a team. [00:47:44] We have a fairly large team. [00:47:47] We've been assembling this group and building this media company for the better part of this year, all behind the scenes, all waiting to unveil. [00:48:02] And we have a lot that you will see. [00:48:04] It's going to be really exciting. [00:48:06] We're going to have great writing, great articles about stories that are happening now. [00:48:12] We're going to have three live streams, and we're taking our live stream to a whole other level. [00:48:18] The video production, you will see motion graphics and design and logos and all these things that will make right response and what we've done so far. [00:48:28] Although, Lord knows, we've done our best and I think we've done well, but right response in previous years will pale in comparison to what you will see with NXR. [00:48:38] Just next month. [00:48:39] It won't be this studio with like some new colored bulbs. [00:48:42] Correct. [00:48:42] That's safe to say. [00:48:43] This studio will be the studio continued for Right Response. [00:48:48] For NXR, we have a new media company, NXR Studios, three live streams, probably five, six, seven articles almost daily with writing, Substack. [00:49:02] Then we also have not just one, but two new studios that are. [00:49:08] Beautiful. [00:49:09] Oh, yeah. [00:49:10] Great studios. [00:49:11] Different theme, different design. [00:49:14] Two new studios that are awesome. [00:49:17] You're going to enjoy it. [00:49:19] We also have a special series. [00:49:21] It's queued up. [00:49:23] It is highly produced. [00:49:25] It's already been recorded. [00:49:27] Highly produced. [00:49:30] Great stingers and all the kind of visuals and all this stuff in a great new studio that's never been seen. [00:49:39] And yes, for those of you who might have. [00:49:41] Caught that slip of the tongue. [00:49:44] I did not say a new special episode. [00:49:48] I did, in fact, say a series, a 10 part series, 10 episodes, average of hour long for each of those episodes. [00:50:01] And not just with us, but with a special guest covering all the most important topics in our world today with expertise, with clarity of thought. [00:50:17] It's not just going to be, you know, the reformed women of both sexes. [00:50:24] Like, did you see? [00:50:25] No, the world will talk about it. [00:50:28] It will be big. [00:50:30] It will be big. [00:50:31] That's not all. [00:50:33] New media company, three live streams, a 10 part special series, a Substack with five, six, seven articles weekly. [00:50:43] Not one, but two new studios and a new book. [00:50:48] Not a book like I've written in the past. [00:50:51] I'm not the best writer. [00:50:52] I do my best. [00:50:54] But this is not a glorified pamphlet like the book that's sitting on the coffee table here. [00:50:59] It's a good book, but it's simple. [00:51:01] It's small. [00:51:01] It's about 100 pages in length. [00:51:04] No, this is what you would call a door stopper. [00:51:08] This is a 250, 260 page book, thoroughly footnoted. [00:51:14] Lots of citation, lots of academic rigor. [00:51:21] Which means, as you could probably guess, Joel did not write this book alone, correct? [00:51:26] Joel did not write this alone. [00:51:29] I am one of the writers and I was involved in the process and vision for it and these kinds of things, but I decided to have a co author. [00:51:36] And you will see who that is when we release the book, which will be January 2nd. [00:51:41] This new 10 part series, January 2nd. [00:51:45] The unveiling of NXR as a company, NXR Studios, and to see the physical studios themselves, January 2nd. [00:51:52] The Substack starting to roll out, January 2nd. [00:51:55] The book debut, January 2nd. [00:51:58] What is the book about, Joel? [00:52:01] You'll see. [00:52:02] January 2nd. [00:52:03] What's the title? [00:52:04] You'll see. [00:52:05] Who's your co author? [00:52:06] You'll see. [00:52:08] But the book will make a splash. [00:52:09] It is not just, oh, there's another book on. [00:52:13] The Five Solas. [00:52:14] The Five Solas. [00:52:14] What else? [00:52:15] The Five Solas, parenting, you know? [00:52:18] No, it's a book on the very topic that everyone is talking about uncovering the history, citing the sources. [00:52:32] Getting into the doctrine and the theology and the foundation, the kind of book that will resource. [00:52:40] I believe it's going to sell. [00:52:41] And I don't like to talk things up because you just set yourself up to look stupid. [00:52:47] But I'm going to in this case. [00:52:49] It will sell. [00:52:51] I believe that thousands of people will buy this book. [00:52:55] They will buy it the moment that it debuts. [00:52:59] And it is going, by the grace of God and His grace alone, to be a quintessential resource. [00:53:05] For winning the war, a spiritual and civilizational war that we are up against in our present day. [00:53:14] It's going to be resourcing and equipping soldiers for the fight so that they have the arguments, they have the knowledge, they can compel, they can persuade, they have the history, they know what actually happened and how we were hijacked, how we were hoodwinked. [00:53:37] It's going to be phenomenal. [00:53:39] This book and this 10 part series together with the Substack and the three live streams and NXR Studios and the high production excellence. [00:53:53] I can't even put it into words. [00:53:55] You will see. [00:53:59] I think it's going to be a big deal. [00:54:03] I think it is. [00:54:04] I think a lot of people, not just Christians even, but a lot of people will be talking about it. [00:54:10] And we. [00:54:13] We've raised investments. [00:54:16] We've clocked in hours and hours and hours, and we're about to throw our first serious punch. [00:54:24] You think that we've been punching? [00:54:26] You think that we've been on the offense all these years? [00:54:34] Yeah, that's true. [00:54:36] But not like this. [00:54:40] We're about to put it into overdrive. [00:54:45] Significantly. [00:54:47] And I'm excited. [00:54:48] I think that the Lord has blessed us. [00:54:52] I believe that it is His will and that we have His blessing. [00:54:57] And I think it's going to be significant. [00:54:59] And by God's grace, we're going to do all of it NXR Studios, culture and politics and live streams and hitting things, striking when the iron is hot. [00:55:09] We're going to start publishing books with our first book, which will be a banger debut. [00:55:14] And special series with big notable guests who are in person in the studio on the quintessential topics of the day and multiple articles every single week, all of it. [00:55:28] And we have found a way. [00:55:30] And you might say, there's no way. [00:55:31] We have found a way by the grace of God to be able to do all that and for right response to continue. [00:55:39] Tuesdays and Thursdays, two pre recorded episodes the principles, the foundation, the doctrine, theology in the church. [00:55:47] And a couple articles each week. [00:55:50] And for that, to serve those who already are Christians and want more theology, while we also can reach over here within XR Studios a broader audience in a way that helps politically, culturally, religiously, and also my prayers that it would be evangelistic. [00:56:09] And that some people who would be on the edge and say, I like the politics, I like the culture, that we can say, yeah, all of that. [00:56:16] And you don't get it without Jesus Christ is King. [00:56:22] Say Christ is Lord. [00:56:24] Christ is King. [00:56:25] Christless conservatism is broke. [00:56:28] It's dead. [00:56:30] It doesn't work. [00:56:31] We don't need conservative, Christless conservative pundits as sodomites marrying another man and then purchasing two little boys on the market. [00:56:41] We don't need that conservatism. [00:56:43] Keep it. [00:56:43] Who needs liberals? [00:56:44] Who needs progressives when we have conservatives like that? [00:56:50] I truly believe that NXR not only will be formidable politically, And culturally, but I believe by the grace of God, it'll be formidable evangelistically. [00:57:02] I think that many, by God's grace and by His grace alone, will come to saving faith in Jesus. [00:57:09] Every good and perfect gift, it doesn't just suspend in midair, it comes down from the Father of lights. [00:57:16] There is a source to everything that is good and true and beautiful in this world, and it's Christ. [00:57:22] It's Christ. [00:57:24] It's not enough to just, oh, Western civilization or Oh, my European descent. [00:57:29] These things matter. [00:57:30] Natural affections matter. [00:57:32] I want to save the West. [00:57:34] White people are going extinct. [00:57:35] My kids are white. [00:57:36] I want to save white people, and I'm unashamed about it. [00:57:40] I recognize race as a real category, and you can have all of it. [00:57:45] But if you don't have all of it and Christ, what does it profit a man if he gained the whole world but forfeit his soul? [00:57:55] It's got to be Jesus, guys. [00:57:58] It's the basics. [00:57:59] It's everything we believe. [00:58:02] It's everything we believe. [00:58:03] We're not interested in a utopia here on earth for 85 years and then dying and going to hell. [00:58:09] People need Christ. [00:58:11] They need Christ. [00:58:12] And right now, all we have is people who preach Christ, but they're retarded and colorblind. [00:58:20] What is race? [00:58:20] Race is just a social construct, it doesn't even exist. [00:58:23] And you know what? [00:58:24] If America becomes completely Indian and brown over the next 50 years and it's no longer white, And then who really cares as long as it's Christian? [00:58:33] Are they Christian brown immigrants? [00:58:35] You know, then that's, you got that, plenty of that. [00:58:40] And then you also have guys who get it, they understand the times, but guess what? [00:58:44] They're not really that interested in Jesus. [00:58:46] Let's be honest. [00:58:47] They understand the dire straits that Western civilization is in, they understand that race is a real category, they understand the flood of immigration and that it takes political will if we're going to be able to save our country. [00:58:59] They understand the friend enemy distinction, they understand all these things, but they don't really. [00:59:06] Have passion and zeal for Jesus. [00:59:09] And we need both. [00:59:11] And that Venn diagram, those two circles, if it overlaps at all, it is a thin sliver with like five people in the whole world that operate within that slip really has to be Jesus. [00:59:30] Christ is King, not just as a slur to tick off a Jew, but I mean it. [00:59:34] He's King Jesus. [00:59:36] Every knee will bow, every tongue confess that Christ Jesus is Lord. [00:59:40] Your knees will bow by grace. [00:59:42] Through conversion, salvation, or your knees will bow because he who rules the heavens and the earth will bust your kneecaps with an iron scepter and make them bow on the final day. [00:59:53] Christ is king. === Exclusive Patreon Access (14:14) === [00:59:55] That plus everything else. [01:00:00] Knowing the times, reading a little bit of history books, right? [01:00:04] The person who understands violence is never the answer and then reads one history book and violence is kind of always the answer. [01:00:11] But Lord, help us. [01:00:12] Is there a way to do it without violence? [01:00:14] And what kind of political will must be? [01:00:16] Exercised and what's really on the line, and these natural order, natural categories, how do we defend these? [01:00:24] And egalitarianism is a lie, liberalism is a lie, hierarchy is inescapable, it's inevitable, it is a natural good that you've created for your glory. [01:00:36] And how can we uphold these things? [01:00:38] And Christ is king. [01:00:41] I'm not interested in Christless ethno nationalism. [01:00:49] I'm not interested in whiteness without Jesus. [01:00:56] I'm also not interested in superfluous cliches about love for Jesus without any appreciation or defense for kin and family and country and heritage. [01:01:15] Neither of these work. [01:01:17] And by God's grace, we're committed to operating. [01:01:20] In that small space that exists in both of those worlds, not compromising on either side of the equation, it's a tall task, and we believe that to do it well, we need to so that one the tail doesn't wag the dog, so that one doesn't eclipse the other, we need to bifurcate, we need to distinguish, [01:01:48] and we need to give everything we have with right response and its mission. [01:01:52] And NXR Studios, New Christian Right, and its mission. [01:01:58] And I think if I could be so bold over months and months now in preparation and lots of time, lots of capital, I think we might have a solution. [01:02:15] I think that by God's grace, what you'll see in January, just a couple of weeks from now, in the year of our Lord 2026, Is that this lofty goal God has graciously empowered us to achieve? [01:02:31] And I, for one, am incredibly excited, and you should too. [01:02:37] One more practical piece, then I'll give it to Wes and we'll take some super chats. [01:02:41] One more practical piece. [01:02:43] Okay, where will I be able to find on the world wide web, on the internet, where will I be able to find NXR Studios? [01:02:52] Well, the answer to that question is. [01:02:55] That you're asking the wrong question because actually, what you will soon find out is you'll be asking the question where can I find right response? [01:03:03] So, what we've decided to do as a board, unanimous vote with Right Response Ministries, is to not just hand over everything that has been done legally and ethically, but to sell at fair market value the assets of Right Response Ministries as a 501c3 organization, assets being the social media pages, three primarily the YouTube, [01:03:31] the Apple, and the Spotify. [01:03:33] So, for podcasts, Apple and Spotify and YouTube, To sell these three social media pages to NXR Studios. [01:03:41] And so, what we did to do it by the book is we hired a third party professional evaluator who is approved by the IRS, getting our ducks in a row. [01:03:52] One of our goals is to not go to prison. [01:03:56] And he gave us the price and took time to do it and got other eyes on it to get it confirmed. [01:04:02] And we voted on that. [01:04:05] I recused myself because I'm involved in both organizations. [01:04:09] The Board of Right Response Ministries voted on that sale of the assets, YouTube and Apple and Spotify, and that passed unanimously. [01:04:17] And we took the bill of sale and we went and got it notarized and all those things and signed it over. [01:04:22] And so, what you're going to see effective immediately at the end of this live stream is we're going to spend the last couple weeks of this year. [01:04:29] This is our last live stream of the year, our last broadcast. [01:04:33] You'll see for the next couple weeks, going through the holidays as we lead up, getting prepared for January, you will see the YouTube channel, Right Response Ministries, begin to convert over to NXR Studios. [01:04:45] And you also see on Apple and Spotify the same thing. [01:04:49] Right Response Ministries on Apple and Spotify converting over to NXR Studios. [01:04:56] And so NXR will operate on these channels that you're watching us from right here. [01:05:03] And Right Response Ministries will not have those channels anymore, but it will have capital because NXR Studios, for a great price, is Purchasing those assets. [01:05:16] A great price, meaning a high price, a fairly uncomfortably large number. [01:05:22] And so NXR is purchasing that. [01:05:25] And so Right Response now has financial runway to operate, which is why the board thought that it was fiscally an ethical and wise decision. [01:05:35] And NXR will use some of its platform and notoriety to draw attention from time to time to Right Response Ministries, which is, I think, If you're going to go one direction or the other, that's the better way to do it. [01:05:48] The LLC giving credence to the nonprofit rather than using a nonprofit to give credence to an LLC. [01:05:56] So we've thought this through, doing this the most ethical way, not just most strategic or efficient or effective, but ethical way, the way that we think is legal, but most importantly, honors Christ. [01:06:10] So NXR will use some of its status in the new year to draw attention to right response ministries and right response ministries because. [01:06:18] It sold these assets, now has capital, and we'll be able to use that as runway and build new social media platforms. [01:06:26] And so, all that being said, where do I find NXR next to you? [01:06:30] Here, this YouTube page, this X account, this Apple or Spotify that you're listening to will be NXR. [01:06:42] And with Right Response, we will start new pages and we will alert people hey, on YouTube, search for blank, blank, blank. [01:06:52] For Right Response's new YouTube page, or blank, blank, blank on Twitter, on X for their new X page, or Apple, Spotify. [01:07:01] And we'll notify a few times over the course of this next year with NXR to help kind of kickstart and boost the new pages for Right Response Ministries that will now be more distinct and exclusively devoted to theology and the church. [01:07:15] So, all of you who are interested in that, kind of getting back to our original mission, theology and the church, the foundation. [01:07:23] And you're like, man, that's my favorite thing about what you guys have done. [01:07:27] And I'm really looking forward to that. [01:07:28] Then you're going to want to stay tuned in to NXR at least long enough to go find those pages and join. [01:07:34] Subscribe on Apple, subscribe on Spotify and YouTube, et cetera. [01:07:41] So everything starting first week of January, both right response, its new pages, and getting back to its old mission, new social media pages, old mission. [01:07:51] Those podcasts, those articles starting first week of January. [01:07:54] NXR. [01:07:56] Its mission, politics and culture and relevance and courage, these kinds of things, with its live streams and 10 part special series and new book debut and Substack and articles and in the two new studios that you'll see unveiled, all that also, first week of January, will be starting. [01:08:12] In terms of where to find NXR, you find it here. [01:08:16] These Right Response social media pages will be in XR. [01:08:20] Where do you find Right Response? [01:08:22] Those pages are being created as we speak. [01:08:25] I've even seen in the chat a couple of people saying, The X account for Right Response all of a sudden only has two followers. [01:08:33] That's not a mistake. [01:08:35] We just started that today. [01:08:37] It'll have to build like anything has to build. [01:08:39] And it's okay because what we can do is occasionally there's an episode with Right Response Ministries and we can just take the NXR account and boost it. [01:08:55] As people are finding Right Response, it's Own distinct pages and subscribing. [01:09:01] So that's some of the practical stuff. [01:09:03] And so that account then with 75,000 followers is now just at Joel Webbin on X. [01:09:08] So that account didn't, it's like, all right, we're wiping the slate, starting at new. [01:09:11] That account is now Joel Webbin. [01:09:12] That's where you can find everything that you do. [01:09:15] So the main account that was WriteResponse is now at Joel Webbin. [01:09:19] Yep. [01:09:19] And you'll see all the NXR stuff on Twitter posted from there. [01:09:23] And NXR also might start a couple other accounts and WriteResponse will start an account, but you'll see the main account at Joel Webbin posting both NXR and WriteResponse content. [01:09:33] Yep. [01:09:33] Yep. [01:09:34] And then if you're a subscriber on the Patreon for Right Response, that's still going to offer benefits to you. [01:09:39] So, totally understand if you're more in it for the culture, for the news, and roll, say, at the beginning of the year, everything that that subscription, whether it be a Patreon or Supercast with NXR, what that gets you. [01:09:50] So, no harm, no foul if you're going to switch right over. [01:09:52] But if you're here for the theology and the content, it's going to be, I think, early and ad free on the Right Response side of things. [01:09:58] So, the content that we put out, there's still a reason. [01:10:00] For one, it's just supporting us, and we appreciate it, and we appreciate your generosity. [01:10:04] But two, we still are committed to those that are subscribed to our Patreon and Right Response. [01:10:08] We're going to keep that up. [01:10:09] We're going to be there. [01:10:09] We're going to be putting content out on it. [01:10:11] So, as far as YouTube, X, Apple, Spotify, those become NXR. [01:10:15] The Patreon will not, but we will still continue to offer value for those of you that have supported us there before. [01:10:21] The Patreon will stay as Right Response, meaning the old mission returning related to theology in the church. [01:10:28] And there will be certain perks and benefits with remaining subscribed to that Patreon to get. [01:10:35] Right response, early access, ad free kind of content related to theology in the church. [01:10:39] There will be a new Patreon for NXR, and that will be like this new special series and getting ad free, early access to binge watch all 10 parts instead of waiting weekly for them to come out, things like that. [01:10:52] Yep. [01:10:53] And some people ask that will this 10 part series be on YouTube? [01:10:56] Yes. [01:10:57] Yes, this part of the year. [01:10:57] This 10 part series will be, and we made that decision very early on when we first decided to do it that we're not going to indefinitely paywall something, it's too important. [01:11:10] We believe that the public has an interest in it and a right to it. [01:11:15] So, all 10 episodes of this series will be made publicly available. [01:11:20] We're not going to sandbag, we're not going to reserve and nickel and dime people. [01:11:25] But we're not going to drop all 10 episodes at the same time. [01:11:28] We think that's just silly. [01:11:31] So, what we're going to do is we're going to drop each episode, each of the 10 episodes, one per week. [01:11:37] And it's going to be on Wednesdays. [01:11:41] But we will have available more uncut episodes. [01:11:45] Less produced, a little bit more raw, all 10 episodes available right away without ads and more uncut, less produced to get all 10 episodes immediately for subscribers. [01:12:05] So we're going to have that option. [01:12:07] You'll hear about it. [01:12:08] Hey, if you want to subscribe and you're really excited about the eighth episode on this particular topic, and I can see the title, you know. [01:12:16] Or the ninth episode, and I don't want to wait eight weeks, you know, nine weeks. [01:12:20] I don't want to wait over the course of two and a half months, you know, for all 10 episodes to come out. [01:12:24] They will come out to the public for free. [01:12:29] But if you want them ad free and you want them early access right away, all 10 parts, and I think some of you will, because I wouldn't want to wait. [01:12:40] Some of these episodes are just incredible, and people will be talking about it. [01:12:44] And the thing that you know everyone will be talking about, you know, six weeks from now, five weeks from now. [01:12:49] For you to be able to get a head start, I think is appealing. [01:12:52] And so we're going to make that option available, but that will be a subscription. [01:12:57] Yep. [01:12:57] So, all right. [01:12:59] That's everything. [01:13:00] That's everything. [01:13:00] At least for now. [01:13:01] Yep. [01:13:02] So let's go to our last commercial break. [01:13:03] We'll come back because we've seen some super chats, and some of them have been some Mondo, very generous Christmas spirit super chats. [01:13:11] And we're grateful. [01:13:12] So let's go to our last commercial break, and we'll come right back for the super chats. [01:13:16] The danger of centralized power is often represented by the word king. [01:13:21] As Americans, we hate the word king. [01:13:24] Civilian ownership of body armor is about helping people to have increased power to resist tyrants and criminals. [01:13:33] And so, Armored Republic is about helping you to preserve your God-given rights to the honor of the Lord Jesus Christ because he is the King of kings and he governs kings and he will judge them. [01:13:45] This is Armored Republic, and in a republic, there is no king but Christ. [01:13:51] We are free craftsmen and we are honored to be your armor spread of choice. === Wise and Careful Silence (14:34) === [01:14:09] Hey friends, Grey Toad Tallow is a family business making skin care the way that it should be simple and clean. [01:15:39] And by the way, I just wanted to say in the chat, the whole time that we were kind of laying out the vision and our reasoning and motivation and the mission that we want to achieve. [01:15:49] I mean, like 95% of the chat was just positive, encouraging. [01:15:55] And that means a lot to us. [01:15:56] And some are excited for Right Response. [01:15:58] They're like, nice, this is my favorite content. [01:15:59] They're like, good, we're getting back here. [01:16:01] And then others are like, oh, cool. [01:16:03] Because it's kind of like what Right Response has evolved into. [01:16:06] Basically, NXR is like, nah, we're just going to go all the way. [01:16:09] We're going to go even further. [01:16:11] After careful consideration, we've decided to become worse. [01:16:13] And then for guys who are like, yeah, but I missed the. [01:16:16] It's like, yeah, and we're also pulling back. [01:16:17] And I didn't sign up for Palantir. [01:16:19] I signed up for Theology. [01:16:20] Exactly. [01:16:20] And it's kind of been like, you know, it just. [01:16:23] Feels like this last year we've just been kind of doing the splits. [01:16:26] You know what I mean? [01:16:26] It's just like we're doing the splits and we're realizing they're just not, it's just both matter. [01:16:34] Both are ethical, both have virtue. [01:16:36] We believe both please the Lord, but they're just not the same thing. [01:16:40] And so we've realized we want to do both, but we can't do both from the same organization in the same live stream at the same time. [01:16:47] It's just two different missions. [01:16:50] And so I feel like it's the best of both worlds. [01:16:53] It's like, so the guys are like, dude, Joel, just. [01:16:56] Just go, you know. [01:16:57] It's like NXR. [01:16:58] Like, I'm telling you, you're gonna, as soon as it comes on, you see, like, even just the countdown and the stinger. [01:17:04] We have a countdown finally. [01:17:05] Many have been asked. [01:17:06] You see, you see this countdown, you're gonna be like, Oh, babe, wake up. [01:17:12] Let's go. [01:17:12] They're doing it. [01:17:13] Get the kid, gather them around. [01:17:17] Cosmic treason is gonna lose his mind. [01:17:20] He's gonna be so. [01:17:20] So, the guys are like, Guys, just go all the way. [01:17:23] NXR is gonna be us going. [01:17:26] All the way. [01:17:28] We might even get a few comments like, okay, maybe not that far. [01:17:30] Pull it back, come back. [01:17:31] But then other guys are like, yeah, man, I like what you're doing, but man, I miss this because this has value to theology, the church, the foundation, the principles, the basics. [01:17:42] That's the beauty, is like, we're going to do by God's grace the best of both worlds. [01:17:47] And I think it's going to be awesome. [01:17:48] And the chat also asked, where did you get that awesome quarters at? [01:17:51] So the answer, of course, for me is I have no idea where any article of my clothing comes from. [01:17:57] But the beauty is that during the commercial break, Wes came over and checked the tag. [01:18:01] Careful, careful, because we've checked another six months of jokes here. [01:18:05] The tag was way up here. [01:18:06] Very appropriate position for another man to check. [01:18:11] And we'll just leave it there. [01:18:12] The tag says Weatherproof Vintage, which is its own brand, but also typically sold at Costco. [01:18:16] Yep. [01:18:17] And that checks out because my wife gets all my clothes for me. [01:18:22] I don't buy anything. [01:18:22] Hang on, hang on. [01:18:23] I help get you some suits sometimes. [01:18:24] That's true. [01:18:25] So if he looks good in a suit, I help with that. [01:18:27] Wes gets me some suits. [01:18:29] If he's wearing a hoodie. [01:18:31] And my wife gets me clothes. [01:18:33] And as soon as you said, I think it's from Costco, knowing that my wife got it from me, So it's like, my wife, would she go to Costco? [01:18:41] Yes, she would. [01:18:41] And purchase clothes for me? [01:18:42] That sounds about right. [01:18:43] That sounds right. [01:18:44] Yep. [01:18:44] Okay. [01:18:44] First super chat comes from Tennessee Conductor. [01:18:47] $20. [01:18:48] Thank you so much. [01:18:49] That's very kind. [01:18:51] He says, incredibly excited to see how God continues to lead y'all in the new year. [01:18:56] You are in my family's prayers. [01:18:58] Thank you. [01:18:58] Appreciate that. [01:19:00] Next. [01:19:00] JD Peabody, longtime supporter. [01:19:03] My goodness. [01:19:04] $50 super chat. [01:19:05] Very kind. [01:19:06] Thank you. [01:19:06] Right Response Ministries has been such a blessing in my life. [01:19:09] I love the live streams, but the sermons and theology series. [01:19:12] Have been essential to my own spiritual growth this year. [01:19:14] That's wonderful to hear. [01:19:16] Love you guys and the regulars in the chat. [01:19:17] Merry Christmas. [01:19:18] Christ is King. [01:19:19] We love you, JD. [01:19:20] Love you. [01:19:21] Thank you. [01:19:22] All right. [01:19:22] This is with honor be based. [01:19:24] I like that. [01:19:25] With honor be based. [01:19:26] $50 super chat. [01:19:28] That's a good one. [01:19:29] My honorable honor. [01:19:31] Yep. [01:19:31] God bless you. [01:19:31] That's an honorable super chat right there. [01:19:34] He said, I've arrived at many of the same convictions you fellas have. [01:19:38] By God's grace, I'm hoping to stir up the young men in my great state of Maine. [01:19:44] Not that great of a state. [01:19:45] But it used to be great. [01:19:47] Make Maine great again. [01:19:48] There we go. [01:19:49] Okay. [01:19:49] We're with you. [01:19:50] We're with you. [01:19:51] You're going to need a lot of prayer for that task, but God can do it. [01:19:54] So, hoping to stir up the young men in my great state of Maine to righteous action. [01:19:59] Amen. [01:19:59] Theology applied. [01:20:01] Let's do it. [01:20:01] Let's apply. [01:20:02] Next. [01:20:03] The Edgerow Whistle sent in a super chat. [01:20:05] Thrilled, all caps, to hear about NXR praying for all. [01:20:08] Thank you so much. [01:20:09] Yeah. [01:20:09] Thank you. [01:20:10] We're super excited. [01:20:11] Yep. [01:20:12] It's going to be great. [01:20:12] Big time supporter of this dude rocks. [01:20:14] Super chat said, very interested to see what comes next. [01:20:17] I've been busy for the last three weeks in a major time zone. [01:20:20] Away, but I'll catch up soon. [01:20:21] Merry Christmas. [01:20:22] Merry Christmas to you because we will not see you again until the new year. [01:20:25] That's right. [01:20:27] Bishops, he gave us a super chat and said, Thanks for the follow last night at Reformed Regime is his handle. [01:20:35] I think it would be a banger if you were on Joe Rogan. [01:20:39] That would be amazing. [01:20:40] Oh, Joe Rogan? [01:20:41] Oh, that's so crazy. [01:20:43] You know what? [01:20:43] He's here in Austin. [01:20:44] I didn't even know that. [01:20:45] The only reason I haven't been on Joe Rogan is I just didn't think. [01:20:49] You know? [01:20:49] So, like, I mean, I've I've got him on speed dial. [01:20:52] I'll just give Joe a call. [01:20:53] Give him a call. [01:20:54] Just give him a call. [01:20:55] Why didn't we think of that? [01:20:56] That's crazy. [01:20:58] Yeah, so we'll give Joe a call. [01:20:59] I'm sure I'll probably be on there next week. [01:21:02] No, we appreciate the super chat. [01:21:04] Very kind. [01:21:04] Yeah, we're not picking on you. [01:21:05] Not picking on you. [01:21:06] I know you know how hard it is. [01:21:08] We're picking on ourselves because it's probably what once a week that we're like, dude, is there any way we could get on Joe Rogan? [01:21:15] So we're not picking on you. [01:21:16] Do we know anyone who knows? [01:21:18] We're picking on our shameless selves and thinking, yeah, you want me to go on Joe Rogan? [01:21:24] I know someone else who wants me to go on Joe Rogan. [01:21:26] It's me. [01:21:27] Me. [01:21:28] Of course I know him. [01:21:29] He's me. [01:21:31] Maybe, maybe God will do it. [01:21:32] Pray. [01:21:33] If it's God's will, it'll happen. [01:21:34] All right. [01:21:35] Next. [01:21:37] HHS 9045. [01:21:38] What's the status on your classical Christian school? [01:21:42] Good question. [01:21:43] Painful question, to be honest. [01:21:45] It's super painful. [01:21:45] Yeah, it's a good question, though. [01:21:47] So we started the process, got pretty far, had a good bit of interest. [01:21:55] And then just honestly, we just got to the point where we had a few key people that we were doing stuff with and had differences in vision. [01:22:06] And we just realized, you know what, we could try to make it work, you know, but it's just, it doesn't feel wise at this time. [01:22:14] So we've put those plans on hold, committed them to the Lord. [01:22:18] And the reason why is like I'm telling you guys about, you know, right response and NXR, and obviously there's a lot of stuff going on there. [01:22:24] But in addition to that, our church, and this is a huge answer to prayer. [01:22:27] I don't always share a lot about the church because honestly, I'm just trying to be wise and careful. [01:22:33] The flock comes first. [01:22:35] And the reason why it doesn't always seem to be prioritized in my rhetoric is actually by intention, absolutely by design, because I want to protect our local church. [01:22:46] That is, aside from my family, my chief ministry is my local church. [01:22:51] And I have to be careful. [01:22:54] It's the same thing with my family. [01:22:55] Like, one of the critiques that I get fairly often is they'll say, like, Joel, you know, he just wants to be a big deal, or he's just platform building, you know, like, I never see his wife, I never see his kids, you know, or I don't see a lot from his church. [01:23:11] And yeah, there's a reason for that. [01:23:14] And the reason is, for those of you critiquing me for those things, in your case, the reason is because of you. [01:23:20] You're terrible people, you're a terrible human being. [01:23:25] And if I involve my wife or involve my kids or involve my church, people like you will torment them. [01:23:33] You'll show up and you'll protest at our church. [01:23:35] I've had people show up and protest at my house, and I'm not going to do it. [01:23:39] And I don't care. [01:23:40] You can criticize me all you want. [01:23:42] All you want. [01:23:43] Please send me another email. [01:23:45] Please, Houston Chronicle, write another article. [01:23:48] No, don't leave a voice. [01:23:49] Oh, no. [01:23:49] Oh, no. [01:23:50] Yeah, you guys can criticize me all you want. [01:23:53] But what I'm not going to do is I'm not going to hide. [01:23:58] As a grown Christian man, I'm not going to hide behind my wife and children and my local flock that I pastor and use them as a shield. [01:24:07] And I'll be honest, that is what a lot of ministers do. [01:24:11] Even good ministers that I agree with in many regards, in order to make themselves in the public optic appear more palatable and therefore garner less criticism, they have pictures with their kids. [01:24:25] Oh, he can't be that bad. [01:24:26] Look, look how cute his kids are. [01:24:28] Pictures with their wives. [01:24:29] But there are sinister people out in the world. [01:24:33] That tactic does not work for. [01:24:35] And all you ultimately have achieved is for those monsters out in the world, you've just given them a visual of your family, a visual of your congregants, a visual of your church and its address and this, that, and the other. [01:24:50] You've just painted a target. [01:24:52] In an attempt to shield yourself, you've used your family and your flock precisely as what a shield is, namely, the arrows now hit the shield, it hits them. [01:25:03] And I won't do it. [01:25:06] I'm just simply not going to do it. [01:25:08] So that's why I don't talk about my family a whole lot and I don't show you a bunch of pictures. [01:25:13] And that's why I don't talk about the local church that I minister to. [01:25:18] It's not because it's not a priority. [01:25:20] It's not because it doesn't get the majority of my time. [01:25:22] It's not because it's not where my heart is. [01:25:25] It's because we live in a world filled with monsters and me appearing more palatable with my public brand by showcasing my family and my church. [01:25:36] Is not worth endangering and jeopardizing my family and my church. [01:25:41] So I actually am loving my family and church more than myself by not talking about them and not showcasing them. [01:25:51] And I hope that maybe a few other ministers might hear this and heed that counsel and apply it themselves. [01:25:58] That said, in terms of our church, one thing that I will say is that it's been a very busy year because we, by the grace of God, just got our own building, which is a massive answer to prayer, massive answer to prayer. [01:26:13] Literally massive, and also a massive answer to prayer. [01:26:16] Yeah, it's a massive building and a massive answer to prayer. [01:26:19] And the church has grown. [01:26:22] And the building is awesome. [01:26:24] And one of the biggest things, it wasn't just, oh, the comfort or the convenience or, oh, it's nice to have your own building. [01:26:29] And no, the biggest thing is that because I'm constantly under attack in the news and the headlines, you know, this controversy, you know, is trending on X or whatever. [01:26:44] We just, as a congregation, we can't afford to be at the mercy of renting from somebody else, knowing that my enemies, What they'll do is because they can't stop me, they'll indirectly try to stop me by going to whoever's renting to our church on Sundays and do a Facebook campaign and try to tank their business. [01:27:07] And this is how. [01:27:07] This is what they've been doing for four years to try to get us off the streets. [01:27:11] Correct. [01:27:12] On the streets, I should say. [01:27:14] And it's worked, actually. [01:27:15] And we had to find another place and barely got another. [01:27:18] So finally, we have another permanent, secure. [01:27:22] So the biggest thing is not the convenience or the aesthetics or the comfort, it's the stability. [01:27:27] It's the security. [01:27:29] And so, all that being said, this year has been incredibly busy, not just because behind the scenes, for over half of the year, the majority of the year, have we been building behind the scenes an entire company and stockpiling content and writing a book and doing a 10 part series and building two new studios and all of this, [01:27:59] but also, Getting a church building, setting that up, moving locations as a church, which is not a small task, getting that building completely ready to go. [01:28:13] There's just been a lot. [01:28:15] I can't even remember the original question because it's gone away now. [01:28:19] Oh, and so my point is we just realized there were other pressing things. [01:28:24] So I said that the reason why I talked about the church building and that transition is to, I wanted to be able to articulate that it's not that we put the school on pause. [01:28:34] For the media company. [01:28:37] The official answer, and it is the official answer, is there were some differences of vision. === Pressing Church Tasks (03:26) === [01:28:43] It felt like it wasn't quite the right time, wanting to postpone. [01:28:46] We wanted to do it when we do it, we wanted to do it well. [01:28:49] But also, we were very busy and not just with social media, but predominantly the first priority was our local church. [01:28:59] And to put the media company before a school is questionable. [01:29:04] To put the church before a school is questionable. [01:29:08] Feels just right. [01:29:10] I think that that's proper and appropriate. [01:29:12] And so that's one of the reasons why we postponed the school. [01:29:15] One of the big reasons is we just realized we need all hands on deck. [01:29:19] And in terms of order of priority, the sense of urgency, the first order of business, we've got to get our church a permanent home where we can't get kicked out. [01:29:28] So that's my answer. [01:29:30] Cousin Ree sent in a $2 super chat, trying to imagine Wes and Joel shopping together. [01:29:36] So I will say this we had a mission one time, we had to get a painting. [01:29:39] From a big department store. [01:29:41] We made a decision in what, 270 seconds or less? [01:29:44] Women, it literally metaphysically wouldn't be possible. [01:29:47] We walked in, we looked at the walls. [01:29:49] That one, we both said, Yep. [01:29:51] And we bought it. [01:29:51] It was under two minutes. [01:29:53] Incredible. [01:29:53] And we were fishing for it. [01:29:54] Wouldn't it be metaphysically possible if we were with them? [01:29:58] If what? [01:29:59] If we were with them? [01:30:00] I don't know. [01:30:01] If women were there. [01:30:02] Oh, it would be metaphysically impossible for two women to walk in. [01:30:05] Correct. [01:30:05] And in 270 seconds decide on a piece of furniture. [01:30:08] Yeah. [01:30:08] Shopping pros and cons, right? [01:30:10] Shopping with another man. [01:30:11] The cons, you might be gay, right? [01:30:13] We got to say it. [01:30:14] We got to admit it. [01:30:15] There is some downside. [01:30:16] Yeah. [01:30:16] There is a downside. [01:30:17] The downside is you might have to, you know, call your dad afterwards and. [01:30:21] Break the hard news and hey, your son's gay. [01:30:23] All right. [01:30:24] So that's the downside. [01:30:26] The upside, though, is that shopping is exceedingly efficient. [01:30:30] So efficient. [01:30:31] When you go shopping for whether it's a painting for a studio, whatever it is, with another dude instead of a woman. [01:30:38] God bless women, but the shopping experience is elongated. [01:30:43] It's not a half day's journey. [01:30:44] It's like, all right, I got to clear my schedule. [01:30:47] I need to take this entire afternoon. [01:30:48] You finish shopping with your wife, the department store. [01:30:50] You feel like you need to be riding, you know, There and Back Again, A Husband's Tale. [01:30:56] You know, some great novel about the journey and how you barely made it back. [01:30:59] You're like, you're kissing your children on the forehead. [01:31:01] I never thought I'd see you again. [01:31:03] They've grown up like three years in the time since you've been gone. [01:31:06] It's a big deal. [01:31:07] Davis, Dakota snuck in a very generous super chat right here at the end. [01:31:11] They said, I've been a weekly listener for four years now. [01:31:14] Wow, they've seen a lot. [01:31:15] I'm so excited for this move. [01:31:17] God bless Right Response and God bless NXR. [01:31:20] Please pray for the life of my wife and my daughter that the Lord would preserve both of their lives. [01:31:24] Through this dangerous pregnancy and delivery. [01:31:26] And he super chatted about that before. [01:31:28] And yeah, let's pray real quick. [01:31:31] Father, we thank you for Davis, Lord. [01:31:33] We thank you for his wife and his daughter. [01:31:35] Lord, we pray exactly that. [01:31:36] If it be your will that you would indeed preserve your hand, your sovereignty, your healing, your power, that you would, in fact, if it be your will, sustain Davis, his wife's life, the life of his daughter, their health, their strength, their vitality, all for your glory in Jesus' name. [01:31:57] Amen. [01:31:58] Amen. [01:31:58] All right. [01:31:59] That's it for the show. [01:32:00] And that's it for the year. [01:32:01] I was about to say, that is it. [01:32:03] You will probably see me, you know, just randomly sending out some spicy tweets because I just, you know, I just. [01:32:08] I'm just now at Joel Webbin if you're just tuning in. === Holiday Streaming Pause (01:06) === [01:32:10] So, yep. [01:32:10] So, right, response M, that's right, responses now. [01:32:13] Correct. [01:32:13] If you're already following me, you know, you're grandfathered in, you're good to go. [01:32:16] But for anybody who's new, at Joel Webbin now. [01:32:20] At Joel Webbin is the handle. [01:32:21] I'm keeping the same profile picture, at least for a while. [01:32:24] I don't want to change both the profile and the handle at the same time because people will be like, who is this? [01:32:28] You know, so there's some kind of continuity there. [01:32:31] Plus, it's Christmas, and I already got the Santa hat on. [01:32:34] Already got the Santa hat on the profile pick, and you just got to hold through the holidays, right?
